With all the shortcuts people are taking to knowledge and hard work, especially when using AI to help with that, I've felt a need to understand things at a more fundamental, basic level. Like really get my hands dirty and my brain working to make the connections rather than have an AI make them for me. I'm hoping that I'm not doing this simply to be contrarian, but I still feel like there's substantial benefits to doing the work yourself--even if it takes more time, energy, resources, etc.
