“This Captain Must Die.”
Original story→ https://youtu.be/Uo81UqO54dg?si=beJgpn6VxISXA5Yh
Shiki🐈's raffish crew has a production that says, ``At the end of the Growltiger number, Munkustrap/Rum Tum Tugger/Mistoffelees/Mungojerrie appear, waving flags while showing their faces, dressed as Siamese.'' Therefore, my interpretation is that perhaps the raffish crew conspired to betray Growltiger.
That's why I drew this picture with the intention of ``the raffish crew plotting behind the scenes after joining forces with Siamese.''

Absolutely adore your Mimzy and Al art!! They're literally like so surprisingly underrated in the fandom, they're just too powerful as messy little besties
Thank you! And I agree. Their dynamic is so fun, so I don't quite understand why people don't want to explore it more. I'm having a blast with these two XD

My attempt at an Edward Gorey "Gashlycrumb Tinies" homage but make it Aziracrow. His style is so hard to reproduce and the crosshatching... my god the crosshatching.
Also feel I should apologize. No idea what possessed me to inflict this on myself let alone on any innocent bystanders who might see this.

I'm really drawn to your art style. Can you share what artists or influences inspired your work?
I'll name the most important 'guys' for me so this answer won't take forever XD
Artists: Edward Gorey, Charles Allan Gilbert & Patrick McHale. Their work is such a big inspiration for me. I've spent too many hours just staring at it. No wonder you can spy their techniques in my art.

If we're talking about other influences, I'll name an early 20th-century art movement like German Expressionism, specifically films of that era. I'm a huge fan of 'old-school' films, there's something so charming about them, can't help it.

If you were to write a follow-up to The Nightmare Before Christmas, either in movie, show, novel, or comic form, what would that look like? A show that gave more focus to all the background monsters who populated Halloween Town, but were given very little characterization in the film, would be killer! (heh) I had some crazy ideas for a hypothetical follow-up myself actually.
The Nightmare Before Christmas is basically just a Rankin Bass holiday special with extra Edward Gorey style, and they made a shitload of those specials, so there's a pretty basic formula you can use. Get a main character who's a misfit that doesn't quite feel like they belong, put them on a whimsical journey through a land that has a lot of imagery associated with the holiday of choice, a villain who's either a redeemable misfit themselves or such a grumpy old crank that we just need to wait until they're killed by their own malice, and some goofy sidekicks.
I think our hero should be a new Halloween icon in the vein of Jack - maybe a ghost or something else archetypal, or maybe a full on walking jack-o-lantern - who wants to fit into the human world but struggles to do so. They're approached by a sinister figure who calls himself "Finder" that tells them of a place full of people like them - Halloweentown - which only monsters can find normally. Our misfit goes looking for Halloweentown, unaware that Finder is following them.
While Halloweentown is full of delightfully spooky things, our protagonist isn't fully happy there, and wants to share everything about the town with the normal world. But how can they do that when their "friend," Finder, turns out to be none other than the Witchfinder General, an exiled crank from Thanksgivingtown who thinks he can get back home if he finds some monsters to capture and burn at the stake! Can our heroic misfit prove that man and monster can coexist, and that Halloween is a frightfully fun time for everyone? Featuring cameos by classic Halloweentown heroes like Jack and Sally, but focusing on a new cast in Rankin Bass style.
Fans would be horribly disappointed.
