I expected to get some iffy results when searching “judaism” on tiktok (and definitely did; there’s a high number of tiktoks from non-jewish accounts, a lot of tiktoks about palestine, a “facts about judaism” video where the first “fact” is the claim “the jews are not allowed to have a jewish state in judaism”, one promoting neturei karta, and most of the videos actually by jewish creators are about conversion or comparing/contrasting judaism to islam & christianity)

but I was not expecting how many of the top videos are straight up just about islam—not just its relationship to judaism, not videos about islam by jewish creators—just videos by muslims about islam:

it’s just weird.

The link will help you find one local to you. I'll be going to one in my own city, despite the cold and rain, and even though it means stopping work about 2 hours earlier than I usually do on a Saturday. Some things are more important.

Quick guide to my boundaries here!

A long overdue little boundary post for my account, not to mention a quick one that I made! I’ll make a proper intro eventually… but the most important thing to me right now is setting these boundaries cause I want to ensure that the right people will be interacting with me, instead of me finding out that I am interacting and becoming mutuals with a problematic person by accident (nevertheless someone who would not respect me).

Please wish me luck as I call my dad back almost a week later since he tried to call me, but I was not in the mindset to deal with that. Partway through one of Jenson’s books atm and reading about how he raced in the Super GT series in Japan then going back and rewatching some of his commentary stuff and it’s just so wholesome that he makes a point of using the Japanese honourifics for Yuki san

Kiiinda unhappy w the fact that a mutual made a post essentially saying “if you support / interact with this proship neutral dont interact with me + DONT harass the account i mentioned” and then immediately got condescending/manipulative replies, asks, and Extreme dogpiling by the accounts friends/affiliates to the point of having to leave their account.

Personally I think if you can’t handle other people saying what you are, you maaybe should rethink identifying with that label.

I've got another 3 request in my inbox so here we go; stevennmwita - blog is only 5 days old and I have deadass seen the exact same header on a completely different blog. Nothing comes up on tumblr search results, claims to be vetted by 90-ghost but searching their blog yields no vetting post so this is a scam blog!

mohammed-atallah - has been shared by multiple blogs and has indeed been vetted as their posts will say, this one is safe to share and donate to!

ayahoftheday - this one has been vetted by the accounts 90-ghost northgazaupdates2 riding-with-the-wild-hunt mushroomjar and belongs to a man named Islam who's accounts he had been sharing the fundraiser through got shadow banned by Tumblr (hence why he will @ to one that says islamgazaaccount3) this one should be safe but always double check to be safe!

I also want to use this post to point out something very important DOUBLE CHECK NAMES! The second blog I just shared comes up on two different names, one with a - spacing between the first and last name and one without, I cannot personally confirm if the one without the - is tied to the same person so double triple check names when you receive asks.

For everyone who stopped using tiktok, did you delete your account? Deleting your account sends a strong message that their behaviour caused their business irreparable damage.

More than that, it deletes your data. I'm not exactly sure how it works, but I think if you delete an account, they have to erase their data on you. It seems like a good idea to delete past records of your phone number, accounts you've interacted with, and metadata on your location and device from each login.

Even if they don't delete it, then at least you're creating a record of tiktok breaking the law, which could be used in court against them one day or published by a journalist.

Seeing Kafka in overtly revealing ("sexy") dresses in fan arts: I just... don't see why? Me over here: The most 'revealing' thing that I can imagine her in, if I envision her without a coat draped over her shoulders, is something like this. Am I just weird; where am I supposed to see this 'overtly revealing' nature of hers that oozes 'sexy'? That woman has class, and in that, I think she's sexy (f I have to use the word). And where do I get that impression from? Her entire default attire screams it at me from the rooftops.
