I thought that these inner sections of a pomelo peel thing kind of looked like flower petals with their coloring, so I left them out to dry for a few days, and then glued some of them together to make little "flowers" to hang in my window.

#crafts #I like the see-through ness of them and the color gradient. And pomelos are one of the foods to me that are very fun to disassemble #(like how I enjoy peeling carrots. or cutting cabbage. etc.) I don't actually eat citrus that much but some of the people I know #and live with do. so I'll always volunteer to cut stuff up or peel fruits if I'm over at someone's house or etc #I am.. the Food Prepper .. lol.. I could never be a chef due to the stress and the Hot of a kitchen and me being so heat sensitive #but in a broader sense I love doing little menial tasks like that. especially if there's some element of like 'try and get the sections all #cut as evenly and neatly as possible'.. sitting there like ..ouuu.. a challenge.. i will cut this onion into the thinnest slices known to #man.. this is now my quest and my destiny... etc. gjhbhj #ANYWAY... though I originally wanted to kind of sew them together with string so there wasn't glue visible or anything #I ended up having to glue them for them to hold their positions properly #So it looks weird because they're so trasnparent that you can kind of see the glue lines at some angles... but alas #still nice when the light shines through them

hi there’s actually only two rules when it comes to food:

if you’re hungry, eat

if you’re full, stop eating

and you don’t owe anyone an explanation for either case, ever.

if anyone, including your own head, ever made you feel like there were other rules, this post is me giving you permission to stop following them.

[the only exception i can think of is literal surgery. if a surgeon tells you not to eat for a day, fine. everyone else can fuck off]

not to be annoying or anything but it's been 9 years since the release of indie game undertale

#It's. One of my special interests #Like I have identifying Mediterranean animals on sight and I have memorizing every line of dialog in undertale #Those are my things. And I did recognize a seagul once by the sound while jetlagged and not paying attention so #Tbh I should probably play the game sometime. But also it'd be very funny to not play it #And then one day just like. Idk. Live stream playing undertale for the first time. But doing it w a blindfold #Check how far my knowledge spans for a person who has never once played the game #Like. I know muffets attacks are a repeating pattern. I know some attacks have audio so I'd use that as a guide #I'd go easy route on toriel and papyrus bc I know you can skip those by being bad at game #And I'm pretty sure I could memorize mad dummy patterns bc I remember there being like. A trick in the code #For if you're bad at the fight #Also you get astro food right before so I'd have good healing #So. Yeah the undyne and asgore and omega flowey fights are really the only things I have to watch out for I think??#Esp since I'm gonna do a bunch of tricks to get out of certain fights #Like. The thing with doing armor switches rapidly on mettaton for fast ratings boosts #Or the lowering of hp on mad dummy after the first hit so the fight can't last beyond a set number of turns if you're shit at it #Tbh yeah undyne is the only one that's actually scary all the way until asgore. That said I also think you can like. Skip that bit entirely #Like by backtracking before new home to get the undyne letter and doing true lab first. I think #Because that's the bit that's the true pacifist thing to do. Which actually true lab also scary #Like ok snowys mom and endogeny are easy but lemon bread and the memory heads are actually hard esp if u cant see #Also reaper bird but only after the everyman gets ate by the whimsun attack flies so I'm not super duper scared #And. I plan on temmie armor after mettaton. And bandage until then for running away from encounters #Just straight up my first time playing the game will be with a blindfold on and livestreamed #(I'd flex especially in that one echo flower room where if you kill toriel flowey taunts you with it)#But until then! Happy 9 years of being extremely neurodivergent :D

#[quickly googles something] .... but maybe not food. can you breed toxicity out of blue morphos and still have them look Like That #of course arachnosericulture is a well established craft and trade amongst gnomes in all biomes as previously established #glaziery is also very common amongst gnomes-- a lot of butterfly wings are mounted to pieces of glass for iridescent beads and bangles #these kinds of things are especially popular in communities with less access to gemstones for whatever reasons #I'm also picturing like. a silk-lined cape that's just layers of shimmering glinting butterfly wings for the exterior #but garments that delicate would HAVE to be exclusive to haute couture and/or some kind of ceremonial use #gnome stuff #worldbuilding

I'm so glad you asked this because their Luau dialogue is actually my favorite out of all the festivals. We did write it with the farmer having the option to add something gross in mind. I made apple cinnamon scones last night and they turned out pretty good! I wanted to make something nice to share with my coworkers because getting to work on Marathon Monday is rough and we all deserve a treat. Baking stuff to share with other is one of my favorite things :)

#nana talks #I never overworked because it was crowded #literally not even during christmas when everybody in this city was ordering and buying sweets #it was literally 10 hours I'm not kidding #we were literally supposed to close and there was a long line #cue me trying to organise the fridges and somebody calls the phone and they are trying to decide which sweets to order for a whole 15 min #and then 'I'll call you back' sweetie please #as a food retail worker when placing huge orders do not call in the last 30 min please #especially because we might need time to prepare it in the morning right #meanwhile customers side eyeing me while I'm trying to do my job #somebody coming up to me while I'm carrying 4 cakes going like hey can I buy one before you put them away #I'm like sure which one do you want #hons want THE ONE AT THE BOTTOM IN THE BACK OF THE FEEZER OH MY GODD #every event I'm describing is during the over hours #it was like my coworkers second day too and I'm like trying to help meanwhile it's chaos #never had a day with this many bad customers too #hons there's a line of 9 people behind you do NOT start arguing with me about the difference between two cakes #spoiler it was the same cake just different color box #my poor coworker and my poor sanity

i know im not alone on this but i also know this statement is like waving a stick at a hornets nest. my overall memories and nostalgia related to hetalia are generally not bad and i think it may have saved a depression-riddled middle school aged me from being lured towards way darker and more mentally damaging content or online groups

#im dead serious like before that i was getting into creepypasta which. look im not one to say horror would make my little developing brain #disintegrate or anything BUT as an online community and a subculture of sorts i think it was far more of a slippery slope into #toxicity and extremism and most of all romanticizing/normalizing things like self harm and unhealthy eating habits and so on #despite what a lot of people say on this site it’s really not an evil and fascism-endorsing show or anything #it just has occasional jokes or concepts that are a bit distasteful– though from what I can tell alot of the ones people point out are #improvised bullshit lines made up by english dub cast members #anyway I won’t get into that whole rant but point is i am so so serious it could’ve been so much worse #the worst thing that came of being into hetalia as a kid was being more prone to finding stereotype humor funny #which im still like. I feel like was much more distasteful in 2012-13 youtube content. like WAY more distasteful #and rampant in general. so even in a show that’s built on stereotypes like hetalia it’s TAMER than the stereotype humor of the time in #a ton of mainstream media. big youtubers were still doing casual blackface back then man. 99% of hetalia’s stereotype humor is like.#canadians are quiet and nice. japanese politeness is to an extreme. germans are efficient. americans are loud and like burger #sorry I said I wasn’t gonna go into this rant so. I digress. I was just thinking about this cause I realized seeing hetalia fanart #generally makes me feel a good- or at least not bad- kind of nostalgia. which seems adverse to the show’s reputation especially on this sit #food for thought or whatever #kibumblabs #oh yeah I know why I started thinking about this- a drawing of seychelles came up on my dash and i can’t help but feel warm seeing her pop #up because she was the first real full cosplay I ever did for a big con.
