Can we hear about your milgram oc 🥺🥺
( no pressure ofc )
I have 12 Milgram OCs! But now there are only 8 ( or 9 ? ) people who have stories. I'll introduce them to you!!↓
Tumblr media
(I use Translate app and my little abilities, hope you can read and understand it.)
In Samleegram, We have 2 prison guards and 10 prisoners
Prison Guards
[000]
Name : Es (エス)
CV : Sakamoto Maaya (坂本 真綾)
Gender : Unknown
Age : 15
Birthday : Unknown
Height : 153 cm.
Bloodtype : Unknown
Image color : #8EC6BB (Monte Carlo)
Tumblr media
Es bright and cheerful, They is close to almost every prisoner. They always make free time to talk with prisoners. But no one knew that they was secretly recording prisoners' information all the time.
They patrolled at night every day. Many people think it's because they works hard. But actually they was just trying to find a way out of here.
Es often gets teased by Ar for being short. So they asks Jackalope for a new pair of shoes. That makes them 160 cm tall. which is higher than Ar. LOL
((Es rarely wears a hat because it makes seeing difficult.😢 Es always cooks for everyone to eat, sometimes some prisoners come to help them. (but Ar doesn't help.)))
__________
[000]
Name : Ar (アル)
CV : Uchiyama Yumi (内山 夕実)
Gender : Unknown
Age : 15
Birthday : Unknown
Height : 159 cm.
Bloodtype : Unknown
Image color : #8EB8C6 (Polo Blue)
Tumblr media
In fact, Ar was the assistant prison guard. Its main duty is to interrogate prisoners. They was verbally violent during the interrogation. In this prison, there was hardly anyone to like them. (← It should be like that)
Ar is very foul-mouthed and has a temper. (💀) Do you see that whistle? They usually blow it when prisoners don't behave as they please. ( Why does it sound cute..? )
((Ar doesn't often wear hats either. But it's because he's just lazy. Sometimes Ar wears Es’s hat because Ar can't find their own.))
__________
Prisoners
[021]
Name : Kinoshita Haru (木下 晴)
CV : Kitamura Eri (喜多村 英梨)
Gender : Female
Age : 22
Birthday : January 6
Height : 173 cm.
Bloodtype : A
Image color : #F59795 (Wewak)
Tumblr media
Haru hardly speaks to anyone. She usually communicates by writing on the board. She also isn't good at facial expressions, which makes some people think she's strange.
Haru often smokes with Masato (024) regularly. And She seem to be trying to approach Akihiko (26) for unknown reasons.
She used to like to sing and play music, she used to set up a band with a close friend before. But why did she stop doing it? Hmmm? you'll have to wait until this part of the story is revealed.✌️
((I intend to design Haru to look like a man. Due to her past story But she is a woman. However You can use the anypronoun with her that she/her he/him or they/them. She doesn't seriously about this.))
__________
[022]
Name : Murata Kei (村田 軽 )
CV : Murata Ayumu (村瀬 歩)
Gender : Male
Age : 14
Birthday : August 19
Height : 154 cm.
Bloodtype : AB
Image color : #BCCCD1 (Link Water)
Tumblr media
Kei is the youngest prisoner. He has dark circles under his eyes that are clearly visible. It's because he almost didn't sleep. Even though he went to sleep, he had a nightmare anyway, so he thought it was better to take that time to study.
He often said that he was not guilty , Never kill people , Milgram caught him wrong. And he wanted to leave here very much. 'My father will definitely find me.' He always said that.
Kei looks particularly close to Hinata(023), maybe because of his similar age, he often follows her like a chick(?) Everyone in prison always sees them next to each other.
((He used to ask for cosmetics from Es, so Es thought that in fact, he might love beauty?))
__________
[023]
Name : Tsugiyama Hinata (杉山 日向)
CV : Hanazawa Kana (花澤 香菜)
Gender : Female
Age : 15
Birthday : March 23
Height : 148 cm.
Bloodtype : A
Image color : #F4CFC5 (Coral Candy)
Tumblr media
Hinata is a friendly person and always talks to others. Everyone sees her cheerful and looks polite all the time. But once in a while she accidentally slipped out of a rude word. Make everyone shock…
She bandaged her arms all the time. Ritsu (028) volunteered to change the bandage for her often, but she often refused him and did it on her own. She didn't want anyone to see the that wound.
Hinata didn't have the attitude of wanting to leave milgram at all. Hinata thought that this place was much more comfortable than her house. If not sticking to the vote that she didn't like it.
((Hinata doesn't like the uniform that Milgram provides. Because it makes everyone see the bandage clearly.💢))
__________
[024]
Name : Kimura Masato (木村 正人)
CV : Hirata Hiroki (平田 広明)
Gender : Male
Age : 43
Birthday : February 20
Height : 187 cm.
Bloodtype : O
Image color : #78BC8E (Bay Leaf)
Tumblr media
He is the oldest person in milgram. He lived a sluggish life as if he had completely lost faith in this world. Sometimes he acted like a father of children in prison.👴
Masato talks to Ritsu(028) most often. discussing life problems, adult edition (sounds depressing). He often smokes with Haru(021) on a regular basis, even if the other party lets him talk to a single swim.
Masato didn't pay much attention to milgram, But if he could choose, he wanted to get out of here, Because he still didn't complete his duty.
((He thinks it's not bad to have free cigarettes.))
__________
[026]
Name : Matsui Akihiko (松井 昭彦)
CV : Taniyama Kishou (谷山 紀章)
Gender : Male
Age : 18
Birthday : April 1
Height : 169 cm.
Bloodtype : A
Image color : #FFBF65 (Rajah)
Tumblr media
I haven't made much of his story yet. But as you can see, He's not very friendly.
Akihiko often quarrels with Ar regularly (He actually quarrels with everyone but.. uh… with Ar the most.)
__________
[028]
Name : Itsuki Ritsu (樹 律)
CV : Furukawa Makoto (古川 慎)
Gender : Male
Age : 35
Birthday : June 30
Height : 182 cm.
Bloodtype : B
Image color : #3359BF (Cerulean Blue)
Tumblr media
Please marry m- NO, I mean, Ritsu always takes care of others, maybe because he's a doctor, so he's trusted by everyone.
He is very close to Masato(024), probably because Masato is the male of his age closest to himself.
((Look at his smile ^^ 🥺))
__________
[030]
Name : Higuchi Ryota (樋口 僚太)
CV : Uchida Yuma (内田 雄馬)
Gender : Male
Age : 20
Birthday : October 12
Height : 174 cm.
Bloodtype : O
Image color : #C1D48C (Deco)
Tumblr media
Ryota doesn't have any other information yet, I'll update it later!
__________
Thank you for reading to the end!!

It's time I talked about this major plot point in Zexal Club, as it's really important. It's also one of the first skits I did together with @yukii0nna , so I'm really excited to talk about it! For those who don't know, Zexal Club is a crossover between Winx Club and Yu-Gi-Oh ZEXAL, where Bloom is Yuma and Kari's mother.
Tagging a lot of mutuals and followers since this is pretty important to me, even the ones who probably don't follow this AU much
@yukii0nna @marrondrawsalot @kousaka-ayumu @gritsandbrits @soprinceblizzard @darkicewolfknight @bakawitch
Edit: I'm now also tagging @bibookdemon since you don't seem to know much about this AU or even that it's a thing, which sucks because this is my biggest and even favourite Yu-Gi-Oh ZEXAL AU
Warning, this is longer than I thought.
So basically, Yuma's been spending more time with Winx 2.0 (what me and Yukii call our OCs) recently due to still coping with the shock of learning the truth about what he is. He also starts spending less time with the Numbers Club since he hasn't told them yet because, again, weird way of coping. Tori and Bronk notice and decide to talk to him about it.
Yuma realises what he's doing and decides to introduce his main friends(Numbers Club) to his other friends (Winx 2.0). They happily agree.
After school, Yuma calls all of Winx 2.0 + Cathy if tomorrow, they can come to a place he picked so they can all meet each other. Everyone happily agrees. After the call, Yuma and Astral discuss whether or not Yuma should tell his friends his secret. Astral thinks he should, but Yuma's still nervous.
Unbeknownst to either of them, things won't go as smoothly as they hope.
See, other than Winx 2.0, Mari is friends with this boy named Aiden. And Aiden's father, Laurent, is, well, a control freak and a jerk, who thinks Aiden's friends are a bad influence on him and corrupting him. He's thinking of how to keep Aiden away from them, when he's approached by someone: Dark Mist.
Dark Mist offers to make sure Aiden never sees those 'bad influences' again in exchange for his help. He explains how there's this boy keeping secrets from his friends, and he needs said boy out of his way. If he uses his magic to help him corrupt said friends, he'll gladly help. Laurent accepts.
The next day, none of Winx 2.0 + Cathy are able to come, obviously, thanks to Laurent and Dark Mist. Jade's parents said no, Leo got extra training sprung on him, Kikyo had to go for a check-up, Mari got detention, one of them got sick, I think Casey-look, it's been a while, okay?- etc. Yuma has to go and tell his friends the bad news.
Tori, Bronk, Caswell, and Flip are shocked and a bit hurt by this, but are understanding. After everyone leaves, Dark Mist and Laurent get to the next stage of their plan. With their powers combined, they're able to make a corrupted card for each member of the Numbers Club, which they can now use on them since their negative emotions are at their fullest. They give them to the 4.
The next day, Kikyo is back and at school, so Yuma decides to introduce her to the rest of his friends at school during lunch break (Casey and Jason are still unavailable). He manages to actually do it this time, and things go alright enough at first, even if they're a little on edge thanks to the cards' influence (Flip the most). Then, Bronk notices Kikyo's pendant, and she tells him about it. After that, either Bronk takes it or she gives it to him for a bit, that part's a little foggy, but he turns it on, and it points at her. And also then bc of the cards, but I'm not 100% sure. Anyways, she takes it back and brushes it off as being broken. They mention how she should probably fix it, since she could be mistaken for a magi (what magical beings are called in this AU), and that would be bad because magi are bad.
Yep, the corruption made them racist.
Yuma is shocked by this, as none of them have ever shown signs of hating magi. This makes him even more scared to tell his friends he's a fairy, along with making Kikyo uncomfortable. After the whole introduction, he asks The Numbers Club what the hell's gotten into them, as they've never had anything against magi before. They just tell him magi are dangerous and evil.
After school, they wonder why Yuma was so defensive on what they were saying, along with why Kikyo seemed so anxious. They decide to spy on her.
They follow her, going into an empty and probably abandoned building, where she practices her magic. That's when they realise she's a witch. Since their minds have become messed up because of the cards, they decide to record and expose her as 'revenge' for 'stealing' Yuma.
The next day, everyone is looking at Kikyo weirdly. Yuma notices and asks her what's wrong. Suddenly, some jerk pours water on Kikyo, commenting on how she didn't melt or something, causing Yuma to get angry and ask what their problem is. The jerk shows Yuma the recording, and Yuma is shocked that someone found out. Jerk is like, 'You already knew?!' And they fight. Mr. Kay breaks it up and is on Kikyo and Yuma's side. They all go to class.
Throughout the school day, Kikyo is constantly bullied and harassed, with kids throwing spitballs at her, some girls hiding her skirt, so she ends up wearing pants, and some even get violent, with her having a bunch of marks on her face. One student (Cough Miyuki cough) even cut her hair. Yuma uses his magic to heal her, though I think Kikyo used her own magic to regrow her hair, and the two of them think of who exposed Kikyo. Then, a certain someone appears: Shark!
He tells them he knows who did it and will tell them. When asked why, he replies that even he thinks what they're doing is cruel. He then tells them it was Tori, Bronk, Flip, and Caswell, which shocks them. Yuma decides to confront them, and Kikyo goes with him. Shark tags along since, in his own words, he's got nothing better to do.
Yuma goes to the 4 of them. They ask him why he's still with Kikyo after she was outed, and Yuma replies, 'I already knew'. Tori shouts, 'And you stayed with her?!'. Yuma asks why they would do any of this, and once again, where this hate for magi came from. They try to convince him Kikyo's not worth it.
Yuma then asks, 'If I was a magi, would you still care about me?' They wonder why he would ask that. He tells them to just answer. They say yes.
Yuma then shows his magic, shocking them and Shark. (Originally he didn't reveal he was a magi until later, but we did a revision and liked this reveal better.)
Tori grabs Kikyo and asks what she did to Yuma, to which Yuma separates her from Kikyo, saying she did nothing. He finally tells them the truth: His mother was a fairy, and so is he.
Tori processes this for a bit, then starts laughing like any good anime villain. Yuma asks why she's laughing, but she doesn't answer and just keeps going. Frustrated and angry by everything, he slaps her.
I'm seriously considering changes that detail because HOLY SHIT I DON'T THINK THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA ANYMORE.
Tori stops and is quiet for a moment, then says, '...I see'. Yuma tells the Numbers Club he's transferring with Kikyo, and their friendship is over - again, considering changing this part- then tries to leave with Kikyo. Suddenly though, they're stopped by a vine.
Tori, Bronk, Flip, and Caswell have become fully corrupted, and the cards also gave them dark powers of their own. Yuma quickly uses his magic to destroy the vine and manages to escape with Kikyo and Shark. When they get away, they think about what happened. Kikyo remembers their eyes seemed different, and the 3 realise something must've corrupted them. They decide they need to hide somewhere and not their homes because the 4 could look for them their. They go to this abandoned house near-ish to the school that Shark knows about (fanfic logic, am I right?), and try to think about what happened. Shark gets supplies so they can survive. After a while, as they try to figure out how the 4 were corrupted, someone comes to help them: Aiden! Yuma's like, 'Oh, I know you! Mari told me!' He tells them it was his father who did it, but he had help from someone he doesn't know. Kikyo asks who could have a grudge against them and can corrupt people, and Yuma realises, 'Oh no, it's 96!!' And then explains the whole Numbers problem to Aiden. They decide to call Mari to help, since by now, she can come.
A while after, or even the next day, Mari arrives. She sends her pixie, Tika, to spy on the Numbers Club to find the source of the corruption. She goes and sees it's from the cards. She goes back and tells them.
They all decide to confront the Numbers Club head-on. Shark is told to stay back since he doesn't have any real defence against magic. He does.
Yuma, Mari, Kikyo, and Aiden go to The Numbers Club. Well, actually, I'm not sure if Aiden also went, but let's just say now he did. Of course, this leads to a fight.
Yuma and Mari dual transformation!!!
The two respective teams fight, and our heroes manage to win! Yuma uses his magic + the power of friendship to defeat the corruption placed on his friends. He then flies up and yells at 96 to reveal himself, which he does. 96 warns Yuma that this isn't the end, and Yuma warns him back that if he ever hurts his friends again, he'll tear him apart. 96 leaves.
After all that, Yuma manages to properly introduce his two friend groups, and they actually get along! The Numbers Club apologised to Kikyo for what they've done, and Kikyo forgives them since it wasn't really their fault. They all hang out, and plans are made to change schools since their current one SUCKS.
Whoo, I'm finally done!! That was WAY longer than I expected. It was also really nostalgic visiting this whole plot. What do you all think?

Clearing up some Ricciardo Rumors™️
Over the last few weeks rumors have sprung up about Daniel Ricciardo, which is fair enough considering the lineup for the RB and Red Bull seats as well as the expectations of him, but I've done a bit more research to clear things up :)
Replaced at Miami? Apparently not.
The New Zealand Herald wrote an article that claimed "Ricciardo has been given an ultimatum" (tldr: if he doesn't perform in Japan and China he will be replaced by Liam Lawson) as well as other things like "Lawson is seen internally as Red Bull’s best option to partner world champion Max Verstappen long-term."
The source itself isn't too reputable since the NZ Herald hardly does F1 reporting to begin with, but also because it's clear they would be biased towards the kiwi driver (Lawson).
These claims have also since been disproven, first by F1 journalist Thomas Maher who reported "Sources say there are no plans to replace Daniel Ricciardo, from the Miami GP or later, with Liam Lawson," and also by Speedcafe, who put out an article saying "Trusted sources within Red Bull Racing, which has an overarching contract with Ricciardo, denied the rumours outright when approached by Speedcafe"
Liam's team have denied the allegations too, saying he hasn't been advised by Red Bull of any moves so I don't think it was intentional pressure but rather just bad journalism from the newsletter.
Helmut Marko has implied DR needs to be doing better, claiming both RBs are "too slow" and Ricciardo is "a bit behind,” but he's also said "Ricciardo needs a safe and confident car. I hope the team can give him that, so he can at least be on par with Yuki," indicating his dissatisfaction is less with the drivers and more with the car.
What about in Suzuka? Yes... but also no.
Daniel Ricciardo will miss FP1 as Red Bull junior driver Ayumu Iwasa takes his car for the practice session, but this is just because F1 teams are required to to bring in a rookie for at least 2 FP sessions a season. Usually teams do this a bit later but RB brought a rookie in earlier last year too, when they were still known as AlphaTauri.
So why not bring in Liam Lawson? Technically he's not a rookie anymore since he's driven in more than 2 GPs. That, and Iwasa is Japanese and it's the Japanese GP. Only makes sense to let him shine a bit in his home circuit.
So is he in danger of losing his seat?
As of now, it doesn't look like there's any plans to kick him out before his contract is finished. He clearly brings a lot of good PR to the team, as well as advice to improve the car. The team has also been admitting the car needs improvements, and there's much to be done. Ricciardo isn't too far behind Yuki's pace either, however he needs to be actively outperforming him if he wants to guarantee moving past the RB seat or even staying another season, since it's clear there's options Red Bull wants to explore.

Think you can hide your secrets from me?
Oh, please! Nothing can be hidden from my sight!
[Kanra:]
With the face of an angel and the rage of a devil
Try your luck, I’m just itching for a fight
[Silent Tragedy:]
Silent Tragedy!
[Kanon:]
How amusing, scurrying around my lab like rats
You won't get very far, I can assure you of that
[Reika:]
A girl can get used to this, you know?
The feeling of having the world in the palm of your hands
[Sakura:]
A blood-stained crown rests on my brow
Who are you to give me a command?
[Death Row Block:]
Death Row Block!
[Akihisa:]
Call it a desire for vengeance and strife
But I still have more to do before heading to the afterlife
[Touya:]
Think you can leave me all alone?
Just for that, I’ll make sure to give your throat a slash
[Rintaro:]
What a pretty picture-perfect life you live
Makes me want to burn it all to ash!
[Valor Guard:]
Valor Guard!

Even against the entire world, I will never yield!
[Lyall:]

[Ayumu:]
The life of a medic isn't for the faint of heart
You’ll find that it's a constant uphill battle!
[Fatal Four:]
Hypnosis action ends corruption
Lyrics that kick away verses
Nautilus diving into your mind
Attacking by surprise, ignition!
Beyond this endless game
Even if the world ends
We'll continue to fight
At the Division Rap Battle!
[Wicked Requiem:]
Deadly song!
[Yuriko:]
I can see it in your eyes that you’re afraid
Fear not I’ll sing your final serenade
[Kaoru:]
Even if I pray to the Muses for guidance
It's to the goddess Athena whom I dedicate my win
[Kanra:]
Inhumanly born from the deepest pits of hell
The masses would call my existence a sin
[Silent Tragedy:]
Fierce blade!
[Kanon:]
Begging for mercy from a maniac?
Fool, my heart has long since turned pitch black
[Reika:]
How can you say I'm horrible for being evil?
At least I do it with stone-cold style
[Sakura:]
Locked and loaded with my finger on the trigger
I'll gladly put a bullet in your head with a smile
[Death Row Block:]
Execution!
[Akihisa:]
Opposing us is the quickest way to die
Perhaps you ought to say your final goodbyes
[Touya:]
Just the sight of you gets me all hot and bothered
Come on, let's go a few rounds
[Rintaro:]
Think you can run the fuck away?
I’m hot on your heels like a hellhound!
[Valor Guard:]
Duty bound!
[Seiji:]
A warning for all there is very little I fear
Especially when dealing with threats to all I hold dear
[Lyall:]
With eyes that see everything like an owl
I’ll catch you even during the darkest nights
[Ayumu:]
Even when everyone else has long given up
I'll keep on going with all my might
[Fatal Four:]
Hypnosis action ends corruption
Gimmicks that burn synapses
Nobody can stop this now
Ignition!
Now we invite you to catharsis
Rhyming all over the place
Carving into history
With this Division Rap Battle!
[Kaoru:]
Mind racing faster than you can comprehend
Even now it's plotting your bitter end!
[Reika:]
Even decked out head to toe in jewels
I’ll destroy anyone who tries to overthrow my rule!
[Touya:]
Seems like you’re someone no one will miss
How about I seal your fate with a kiss?
[Lyall:]
Hidden like the dark side of the moon
Your doom approaches soon!
[Kanra:]
I’m quick to anger and, with my strength enough said
So careful, or else you’ll end up dead!
[Sakura:]
Don't even think about trying to be brave
You'll only just dig your own grave!
[Rintaro:]
A battle between divisions, call it a nuclear winter!
Leaving nothing but ash and cinder!
[Ayumu:]
I might be here to heal
But that doesn't mean I'll kneel!
[Yuriko:]
That's it I’m done playing nice
It's time I leave you in agonizing pain!
[Kanon:]
A verbal barrage rains upon the psyche
Let's see you undo the damage to your brain!
[Akihisa:]
This is our reality now
One where words have all the power!
[Seiji:]
Opponents stand all around
The Division Rap Battles are no place to cower!
[Fatal Four:]
Hypnosis action ends corruption
Lyrics that kick away verses
The Nautilus dives, invading the brain
Ignition!
Even if what results from this endless game
Is the end of the world
We'll keep resisting
With this Division Rap Battle!

Phantasmagoria: Part 7
CW for manipulation, unhealthy relationships, elements of dubious consent
The events in this chapter stem from a head canon I have that Enmu knew Muzan before he was attacked. As a human Enmu was a con artist who claimed to cure the terminally ill. If Muzan got wind of this I could see him disguising himself to investigate to see if it has anything to do with the blue spider lily.
Muzan is skilled with manipulation, considering how he acted towards not only Daki but many others. Who’s to say he wouldn’t resort to similar measures to extract information from a potentially useful individual? Resulting in Enmu being hung up on him.
The way Enmu acts towards him in canon makes it come off to me at least that he’s under the false impression his feelings are somewhat reciprocated.
Enmu’s feelings are a complicated. I had a separate head canon his infatuation with Muzan stemmed from gender envy so that’s definitely a factor. Yet there’s a bit of attraction present, so he’s can’t tell whether he wants to be him or be with him. There’s fear because Enmu’s knows at least on a subconscious level there’s something off about him, but his own perception of reality is so unstable he ignores it.
Admittedly Muzan/Shingetsu’s behavior towards Enmu in this chapter draws inspiration from past events regarding ignoring my intuition about someone with an agenda.
—————————————————————————
“Here it is,” Enmu said. The door swung open to reveal a small room. The walls were lined with shelves upon shelves of books and scrolls. In the center of it all was a small table and a set of soft cushions on which to kneel. He stood to the side to allow Shingetsu entrance, unsure of what to do with himself.
“You will stay here until I’m done,” Shingetsu ordered. “Wouldn’t you prefer your privacy?” Enmu asked in disbelief. He planned to stay behind anyway to keep an eye on things and ensure that the key was returned, but figured Shingetsu would demand he wait upstairs.
Being down here alone with Shingetsu was as intriguing as it was uncomfortable. Perhaps he’d finally learn more about this strange man. Yet he still wasn’t over the humiliation from being walked in on earlier. He was grateful to Shingetsu for not bringing it up, though.
Still, there was something inexplicably eerie about his enigmatic neighbor. He couldn’t put his finger on it, just that being down there with him alone seemed dangerous. Perhaps it was all in his head.
At least staying meant he wouldn’t have to deal with Ayumu. Enmu eyed Shingetsu as he sauntered down one of the aisles. Everywhere he went he walked as if the entire world was at his feet. What wouldn’t he give to have that kind of confidence!
“I had a couple of questions about your family’s research,” Shingetsu said, “It would be far more convenient for you to stay.” As he approached the table Enmu was struck with a pang of envy at the grace of his movements.
“Besides,” Shingetsu said, placing a hand on his shoulder, “I like having you around.” Enmu took a step back. Did Shingetsu feel the need to invade everyone’s space or was it just him? His face warmed as he drew his tailcoat tighter around himself.
“What do you use to make your medicines, Dr. Tamio?” Shingetsu asked. “You mean the tinctures I make?” Enmu asked. They were simple things, really. Most were simple pain relievers or sedatives he prescribed to cover up the patient’s symptoms.
“Yes, those and anything else you use,” Shingetsu replied. There was a sense of urgency in his voice, almost as if he were under interrogation.
“I’ve been mostly using the plants in this area,” Enmu replied, “Studying that sort of thing was one of the first tasks I was given when I began working here.”
Shingetsu took a long pause. It seemed as if he wasn’t even breathing. His eyes narrowed as he fixed Enmu with a long stare. “The plants you say?” he asked. Enmu nodded, perplexed.
“Is there anything else you wanted to ask me?” Enmu murmured, “It seems like there’s something more you want to say.” He shifted in his chair. Why was he looking at him like that? Once again he felt paralyzed.
“There is nothing else,” Shingetsu said, thumbing through the pages of his own book, “If I require anything more from you, I will let you know. Mind your studies and leave me in peace.”
Enmu did just that, mind reeling from how rapidly the man’s mood seemed to have shifted. What was with him anyway? Moments ago he told him he liked having him around, only to shoo him away like a stray dog?
As the hours dragged on he found it increasingly hard to focus. He found his eyes drifting from the page to Shingetsu’s face. There was a covetable angular quality to his features that only came alongside aristocracy. One could almost call him pretty, but it was a harsh sort of beauty. There was nothing delicate about him. It’s not fair at all! Enmu thought.
He took a sip from the steaming mug of tea beside him. It was far too hot to drink, but he had to focus himself somehow. Even so, he barely felt a thing as it scalded his tongue. There had to be another way to clear his head. He couldn’t keep allowing himself to be distracted by him like this.
He was just one of Shingetsu’s many admirers. That man had been the talk of the town among many young women since he arrived. Even a few of the men seemed preoccupied with him.
That was when he noticed Shingetsu was staring back at him. Dark eyes bored unblinkingly into his own. He’d been caught.
“You’ve been doing that all night,” Shingetsu said. Enmu’s mouth was dry. He thought, or rather hoped he’d been discreet enough for his spying to go unnoticed.
“I was merely admiring your outfit, sir,” Enmu said, “You certainly have impeccable taste.” Surely that could pass as a reasonable explanation. Flattery had gotten him far in life. Perhaps it would spare him the consequences of the truth.
“You aren’t as mysterious as you think,” Shingetsu said as he rested his chin on his hand, “Do you really think it escapes my notice how flustered you become in my presence?”
Enmu opened his mouth to speak, only for Shingetsu to cut him off. “There’s no need for embarrassment,” he said, “I simply have that effect on people. Most of the time I find bit annoying but I’ve taken quite a liking to you.”
Frowning, Enmu drew back. “With all due respect, sir, I …I couldn’t possibly be what you want.” He stared into his tea cup, refusing to make eye contact.
Something brushed his fingers. He glanced up to see Shingetsu had trapped his hand between both of his own. He jolted at the contact. His hands were icy, as if they’d submerged in freezing water.
“I was married once, long ago,” Shingetsu said, “I don’t want another wife, doctor.”
Enmu was at a loss for words. It made no sense at all. Shingetsu could have anyone he wanted. What were the chances of Shingetsu wanting him of all people?
“It’s rare to come across a man with your level of ambition,” Shingetsu said, “Particularly when you have so little working in your favor. I like that about you, which is why I wanted to make an offer, the offer of a lifetime.”
Shingetsu leaned forward across the table. Their faces were only inches apart. “I know you’re running from something. You’d do anything to get away, wouldn’t you?”
Enmu clutched the edge of the table with his free hand to steady himself. How did he know about Ayumu? He never discussed his personal life with anyone.
“That’s why I’m offering you a way out,” Shingetsu said. “What way out?” Enmu asked, staring up at him, “I don’t understand.”
“I’m only passing through,” Shingetsu said, “If you assist me with my research I’ll take you with me when I leave this place.”
“It would cost a fortune to get out,” Enmu near whispered, “Ayumu demands half of everything I earn.” He placed a hand over his mouth. He never told anyone that. “I’ve said too much.”
“That hardly surprising,” Shingetsu said, “A doctor with a reputation like yours should be able to afford clothes that actually fit.”
Enmu tugged at the collar of his shirt. He wished Shingetsu hadn’t pointed it out. Most of his clothes were Ayumu’s old hand me downs. He was fortunate enough to be of average height for a man but his body lacked the muscle and robust frame needed for everything to fit properly. It bothered him enough that he taught himself to sew, yet there was only so much he could do.. He sighed miserably.
“I have more money than I could ever spend,” Shingetsu continued, “A couple of one way tickets to the other side of the country is nothing to me.”
A chill ran down Enmu’s spine. Without Shingetsu’s help he wouldn’t have enough to leave for another two years. That was without worrying about other things such as where to go or finding a place to live. He’d be nearly thirty by then. With how irritable Ayumu had been he wasn’t sure if he could tolerate it much longer. He could scarcely stand going home at all, even if it was just for a few hours.
“This can’t be real,” Enmu said, “All I have to do is help with your research? That’s too easy. I must be dreaming!”
“The choice is yours, doctor,” Shingetsu said. He placed a hand beneath Enmu’s chin, tilting his face upwards. “An opportunity like this won’t come again,” he whispered, leaning in so close their lips nearly touched, “Does this feel like a dream to you?” He brushed a stray lock of hair out of Enmu’s eyes.
It was then that Enmu realized he’d been holding his breath. His pulse quickened. Was this a dream? There was one way to be sure.
“I’ll do it,” he said quietly. He leaned forward, closing his eyes. Only for Shingetsu to instantly release him, jerking away as if he’d been burned. For a split second he thought the man’s expression twisted into a snarl of disgust, yet it happened so quickly he couldn’t be sure. So it was real then? If it was a dream, he likely would have gotten what he wanted.
Enmu’s face reddened. His mouth moved wordlessly as he stammered to form a proper apology. Shingetsu pressed a finger to his lip, silencing him. “Not now,” Shingetsu said, standing up. “Come. There is much work to be done.”

anyway have an exerpt of the naruto fic i'm writing, because i'm unusually proud of this bit of writing. i don't think you really need a whole lot in the way of context to understand what's happening but you're welcome to ask questions if you feel like it :)
Finally, their relief arrived, and Tsu and Ayumu rushed back to the village. Duy’s funeral had come and passed; in war, there was little time for ceremony.
Ayumu volunteered to deliver their report to the Hokage; Tsu went in search of her friend.
Guy was at home, sitting in the empty room he and his father normally slept in. He had red, puffy eyes from crying and was wearing a house robe instead of his green jumpsuit. Tsu had entered his home when he didn’t answer the door; now she approached slowly, sinking to her knees in front of him. Guy looked at her for a moment, sniffling.
“Already dressed for a funeral,” he managed to say. His voice cracked when he spoke, tears welling in his eyes again.
“The whole village is calling him a hero,” Tsu said quietly.
“Does it matter?” He whispered. He stared down at a book in his hands.
“Not really,” she admitted. “I’m sorry, Guy.”
“You gave him this,” Guy said, lifting the book slightly. It was about the Eight Inner Gates. Tsu felt her chest tighten with guilt. “I remember seeing you hand it to him.”
“Yes,” she said quietly.
“Did you read it?”
“Only enough to know it was what he was looking for,” she admitted.
“Do you know why the Eighth Inner Gate is called Death?”
“I… I can guess.”
“There wasn’t even a body, Tsu,” Guy whispered. “He’s just…ash, now. Somewhere in the forest.”
“I’m so sorry,” Tsu said. She wanted to say more, but there wasn’t really anything else to say.
“I wish you hadn’t given him this book,” Guy said.
She didn’t know how to answer that. They sat silently for a long, painful minute, Guy’s eyes still wet with unshed tears. Finally, he wiped at his face one last time and stood, book in hand.
“Thank you,” Guy said. Tsu looked up at him, confused.
“For… for what?”
“For coming,” he answered, turning to a bookshelf in the corner of the room. He put the book away and paused again. “And for giving Papa this book. It let him live out his greatest self-rule.”
“Oh,” was all she managed.
“I haven’t slept in a while,” Guy said, turning to his stored bedding. “I’m gonna try and sleep now.”
“Oh,” she said again, standing up. “Okay.”
With Guy curled up in his bedroom, even his head under a cover, Tsu wandered into his kitchen. She never knew what to say to someone who was mourning, but she could always help them out elsewhere.
The kitchen was a mess; the sink full of dirty dishes, and more mold in the refrigerator than there was fur on Anji’s back. Pulling her kimono’s sleeves back, Tsu got to work.
Ayumu showed up as Tsu was putting the last of Guy’s rotten food in the compost heap on the side of his house. She’d brought several of their Academy classmates with her, presenting them in a lineup like troops on the battlefield. Tsu took a deep breath and cleared her throat.
Guy woke up to the smell of soap mixed with a fresh hot pot. Rin was in charge of the hot pot as Obito set out every bowl, spoon and chopstick set Guy owned; Kurenai led Genma and Ebisu in the scrubbing of the living room floor. Kakashi cleaned the bathroom while Tsu and Asuma finished beating dust out of curtains and area rugs on the front lawn.

Kira's Thoughts on Niigata Division
Tumblr media
Seiji Tsukimoto
"Chief Tsukimoto's decision to join the Division Rap Battle certainly caught me off guard. He’s always been the epitome of dedication and seriousness within the department, so seeing him step into such an unconventional arena is surprising. However, knowing Seiji-san, there's a strategic reason behind his choice. Perhaps it’s related to a case he's passionate about, or maybe there's a personal element I'm not privy to.
While I have my concerns about the risks involved and the potential implications for our department's reputation, I trust Seiji’s judgment. He's not one to act recklessly. If he believes this is the best course of action, then he has my support. As a fellow officer who has also faced personal trials, I understand the need to explore unorthodox methods at times. I'll be keeping a close eye on the situation, ready to assist if needed."
Lyall Shiba
"Detective Shiba is a complex character within our department. His reputation precedes him, both as a former celebrity and as a detective with an unorthodox approach to his cases. While some may find his methods and his flirtatious nature exasperating, I can’t deny the results he achieves. His drive and determination to solve cases, often at the expense of protocol, are traits I recognize and respect, even if they clash with my own principles of order and discipline.
It also doesn't help that I know he and Kaoru of Edogawa are seeing each other. If he was surprised when he saw me at Kaoru's house, he certainly didn't show it. I'm more surprised he and Kaoru are actually an item. ...But then again, I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised considering Kaoru's less-than-ideal tendencies, and Lyall's habit of breaking rules.
As for his appearance, it’s not my place to comment on his attractiveness—that’s irrelevant to his capabilities as a detective. What matters to me is his effectiveness in the field and his commitment to justice, which, despite our differences, I believe aligns with the values of the Niigata Police Department. His participation in the Division Rap Battle alongside Chief Tsukimoto is unexpected, but if it serves the greater good and brings us closer to solving cases, then it has my cautious support."
Ayumu Hayami
"I've known Hayami-san for a while now, due to him being an old friend of Seiji-san's. His dedication as a paramedic is something I deeply respect. His commitment to saving lives, regardless of the circumstances, aligns with the core values I uphold in law enforcement. It’s clear that his decision to step away from his family’s wealth and title was not made lightly, and it speaks to his character that he chose a path of service over comfort and privilege.
While I'm aware of his affluent background, I don't hold any resentment towards him for it. We all have our histories and what matters is how we act in the present. As for his ex-wife's connection to Chuohku, it doesn’t affect my view of him. We're professionals, and personal matters stay personal. If he knows anything about my own secrets, I trust in his discretion. He's proven himself to be a man of integrity, and I have no reason to believe he would act otherwise."
Valor Guard
"Valor Guard’s entry into the Division Rap Battle is an interesting development. As members of law enforcement and emergency services, their involvement brings a certain level of credibility and seriousness to the competition. It’s reassuring to see colleagues from different branches uniting for a common cause, even if it’s in an unexpected arena like rap battles.
The prospect of facing them in the future, possibly alongside my sisters, does give me pause. It’s one thing to work together within the confines of our professional duties, but the competitive nature of the DRB adds a layer of complexity to our relationships. I’m not worried about their capabilities—they’re undoubtedly skilled in their fields—but I do have concerns about how this might affect our working dynamic.
Ultimately, my hope is that their participation is for the greater good and that it doesn’t distract from our primary responsibilities. As long as they maintain their professionalism and uphold the law, I see no issue with their involvement. However, I’ll remain vigilant, ready to step in if the lines between duty and competition become blurred."

Class 80-A Bios
I did these up a while ago, too. Figured with Vergilsama92 properly introducing them, I should get around to posting these~
Ayumu Fujimori
Tumblr media
The 80th year of Hope’s Peak Academy brings with it the winds of change. The “Izuru Kamukura Project” starts and stops with Hajime Hinata, and that means Jin Kirigiri has some wiggle room to make some reforms. The first of which is the abolishment of the “Ultimate Lucky Student” drawing. For the 80th Class of Hope’s Peak, there won’t be a Luckster. Not one that they handpicked from a lottery. … Enter Ayumu Fujimori. The Ultimate Unlucky Student. Her existence was uncovered through their own Nagito Komaeda, during his Graduation Exam. A girl that was the personification of bad luck, even moreso than their resident Makoto Naegi, who referred to himself as the “Unluckster”, and Nagito, who was known for both good AND bad luck. It had honestly been just a twist of fate that they discovered Ayumu Fujimori at all. But after Koichi Kizakura did some digging, they came to find out this girl was everything that the local tall tales and rumors claimed and more. By the time she was 5 years old, Ayumu had experienced 13 different accidents that almost brought about her death. Her baby stroller rolling into ongoing traffic, falling out the window of a seven-story building as a toddler, being taken hostage by a grocery store thief and ending up in a car crash with him… She survived all of this and so much more, but the bad luck just kept on coming. She could never catch a break with chores, or school tests, or even making friends… These were all “rumors” circulated by the community that Ayumu grew up in, but they proved to be very real. The worst part was that Ayumu’s father took advantage of his daughter once his wife passed away due to this same rotten luck. If Ayumu was going to make his life a living Hell, take away what he held dear, then the least she could do was make his political career take off by wreaking havoc on his rivals’ families – it wasn’t a rare occurrence for Ayumu’s father to send her away to “sleepovers” at “friends’” houses during campaign season. In fact, a system became established where Ayumu NEEDED to spend time with other families as much as possible; first it was just Ayumu’s father “getting over” the grief of losing his wife. But he soon enough spat out excuse after excuse after excuse, and the community just ate up the lies. As Ayumu’s bad luck became more widely known and recognized, there were rumors that her father was even just trying to save his own skin, considering the accidental nature of his wife’s death. His rivals never pieced it together he was using Ayumu to destroy their campaigns and lives; they simply tried to take Ayumu in as “Samaritans” and paint themselves in a good light.
… But the bad luck just kept on coming. The people that Ayumu stayed with often turned abusive once they figured out she was to blame for random incidents in their lives. In public, they would treat her decently – just so authorities wouldn’t be any the wiser. But it became accepted by the community that SOMEONE needed to pay for all their woes, and if Ayumu’s father couldn’t be bothered then they would take it out on his kid. The one responsible for all the bad luck in the first place. As such, Ayumu grew up to be very feeble and accepting of what others would do to her. She hated her rotten luck as much as everyone else did, but she was powerless to do anything on her own; no one stooped to help her – not without eventually venting on her for any inconvenience she caused them. And as long as her father “wanted” her to come back home someday, it’s not as if the community could let Ayumu commit suicide – so eventually they let up on the abuse and showered her with sporadic acts of charity and “kindness” that would keep Ayumu from considering such dark thoughts. If Ayumu died on them, then they couldn’t use her as a scapegoat anymore; so the community’s approach became very much “poisoned carrot and stick”. But it worked – Ayumu never considered suicide. She just lived a miserable, lonely existence where she was the butt of everyone’s joke. Once Koichi delivered his findings to Jin, they hatched a plan to recruit this girl to Hope’s Peak – not for the purpose of studying her bad luck, but for the purpose of trying to save her. Or at least giving her a better life than the Hell that she had. It’s not like the community Ayumu lived in could object once she accepted – as much as they wanted to interfere. Koichi personally delivered the acceptance letter so that she knew it was real, and that people couldn’t hide it from her. “Ultimate Unlucky Student” was also for the purpose of deceiving her politician father who had ties to the government, who in turn had ties to Hope’s Peak; he was the only one that could get in the way of Ayumu living a happy life, so they needed to make it seem like they were being clinical and detached about recruiting her, like all other students. … But this would be the start of a new life for Ayumu. They’d see to that.
Kazumi Izumo
Tumblr media
The Ultimate Occult Enthusiast. Though… Don’t let her hear you call her that. She’s the “Ultimate Spirit Medium.” … Really. Her powers are real!!! In all seriousness, Kasumi Izumo has been fascinated by the supernatural ever since she was very young. She studied all there was to know about the occult until she became the leading, undisputed authority – even if she was just a kid. Though she has better presence online, because she never posts a profile picture, and most people just assume that she’s a woman well on in years. Kasumi has even written books on the supernatural – explaining where “rumors, legends, and heresy” start, and “more importantly” where they end. But she’s not just a prolific writer; Kasumi is gifted enough to argue effectively and make you at least concede the possibility that spirit mediums and the supernatural are, in fact, real. But why did Kasumi become interested in the occult in the first place? She won’t easily admit it, but it’s because her parents passed away. In the beginning, Kasumi just wanted a connection with them – and she will insist that she achieved that connection, being able to communicate with them as a spirit medium. But the more she studied the occult, the more fascinated and engrossed she became. The world was full of so many mysteries, and there was no way to explain them through natural causes. Despite her defensive attitude when others question her “abilities” and knowledge, Kasumi in fact has quite a few friends, both in Japan and around the world through her website and the blogs she frequents. She’s proven herself time and again to be knowledgeable at the very least, and people are interested enough to hear her stories. Some perhaps bonding with her over wanting to “connect” with loved ones they lost. Still, Kasumi’s personality takes some getting used to. She’s arrogant, prickly, and HATES nonbelievers, often threatening to kill people for questioning her. But even so, there’s been no precedents where she’s carried out such threats… A typical tsundere, in other words. Kasumi has a few choice words for Hope’s Peak because of the title they gave her – she keeps petitioning to have it changed to “Ultimate Spirit Medium”. … But no one’s listening.
Aruma Todoroki
Tumblr media
The Ultimate Animal Tamer. With Gundham Tanaka’s graduation from Hope’s Peak, Kizakura found the perfect student to fill the void he left behind. Someone that could control animals… even “homo sapiens”. Oh yes, Aruma has quite the pedigree~ Aruma didn’t quite know what she wanted to be when she grew up. But she had a fondness for animals, and that’s why as a child she would become so enchanted by the circus whenever it was in town. It got to a point where Aruma’s parents wanted to spoil her “a little” – so they paid for her to study abroad, at a circus in France, the romantic capital of the world. Once Aruma traveled to France, there was no going back to how she used to be, a rather plain but loving girl… No. Now she had a powerful fire lit within her, and Aruma was determined to be the best Animal Tamer in the world~ No conquest was too great. Once she had a handle on circus animals in France, she felt that she could tame anything. ANYONE, as well. Of course, when Aruma returned to school in Japan, her former school’s staff and student body were terrified of the “wild beast” awoken within her, and they gave her a wide berth – but still applauded her ability. … To control animals. Not them. Are you crazy?! It became school policy to make Aruma leave her whip at the principal’s office at the start of every school day, and she could only pick it up after school; they wanted to take it away from her completely, but were too terrified to find out what the consequences of that might be. Aruma herself didn’t have a bad word to say about people, despite the wariness they gave her. Honestly, Aruma just wanted to make friends like she always used to; it’s just that her training from the circus had… turned her life upside down, in regards to how she took on “challenges”. Not to mention, France was a far more intimate place – Aruma rather liked how open and friendly everyone was with each other in that corner of the world. To go back to Japan where everyone was more formal and “awkward” (her word for it), it wasn’t an easy transition for her. Sure, okay, Aruma could be a LITTLE kinky and suggestive… But she was looking for a man, too, you know?!?!?! People that fell into line were nice, but she relished the orgasmic thought of one day running into a hotblooded man that would become her greatest challenge!!! Of course she’d be a little passionate about romance~ Hope’s Peak’s acceptance letter was like a godsend for Aruma. … And her previous school. They practically shooed her out the door as she eagerly accepted the invitation of the greatest academy in Japan, practically drooling and unable to sleep during her first night on-campus. Aruma was recognized as the “Ultimate” Animal Tamer, and she had no intention of relinquishing her title – she would only get better at her talent. That was a promise. But more than that… Surely she would find a worthy man here? One that would finally sate her romance-addled heart…?
Maiko Kagura
Tumblr media
The Ultimate Dancer. Much like Aruma, Maiko arrived at just the right time, filling the void left behind by the Ultimate Traditional Dancer, Hiyoko Saionji. Only, Maiko is more well-rounded in her talent – she can perform any dance. She’s not the undisputed master at each of them, she would need time and practice to be “good” at all of them. Still, Maiko has had an interest in dancing since she was a child. … Just not in the way that you would expect. Her father abandoned her mother and Maiko when she was seven years old. This regrettably left Maiko’s mother in the position of raising a child on her own, Supporting the both of them on a single salary – and that was especially difficult in paying for school for Maiko. This left Maiko to unfortunately almost never see her mother because of the multiple jobs she needed to work to keep them fed and clothed. Not to mention, Maiko’s mother was bitter over her husband’s abandonment, and wished to avoid looking at Maiko for longer than she had to – after all, Maiko had her father’s eyes and face. If she was forced to take care of Maiko more than this, she might have taken her anger out on Maiko for making her remember who abandoned them. But the jobs kept Maiko’s mother busy, and away from such angry, resentful thoughts. Of course the downside was that Maiko had to raise herself for the most part; her mother would buy her clothes and food, but beyond that Maiko had to learn fast how to take care of herself. This left Maiko to be pretty lonely – soon enough however, it wasn’t enough that Maiko had to take care of herself, her mother wanted her to maintain their apartment while she was gone. And if Maiko wanted a pet or anything like that, she would have to handle everything with regards to raising and taking care of it. Maiko had considered getting a dog, anyway, but decided against it in favor of trying to make friends at school and maintaining the apartment, which went beyond cleaning, and involved keeping an eye on the plumbing, water, gas, heat, electricity, etc. If anything ever looked like it would malfunction, Maiko was supposed to leave a note for her mother, and she would leave money to call a plumber, electrician, or whatever Maiko needed.
Things took a turn for the worse, of course. Stress got to Maiko’s mother, and she lost most of her jobs, and it was tough finding new work. Even though her mother was home more often, she was still expected to maintain the apartment, and Maiko would get verbally abused if she “whined” too much about things getting too tough. Despite it all, Maiko loved her mother enough to look into ways that she could help cover the rent, groceries, and her school tuition. The solution she eventually found was… dancing. She started off teaching herself from online videos, and loved managing to get better and better – Maiko ended up having a knack for dance. It was the one bright spot in her life, and she became good enough that she became both a dance performer online as well as in-person. … But despite chipping in like Maiko was, Maiko’s mother grew angrier and angrier as the days and years passed. She was living on her daughter’s efforts, and not her own anymore – and Maiko was essentially a celebrity. It hardly seemed fair, and one day Maiko’s mother just wanted to take her daughter down a peg… But she did it without stopping Maiko’s career in dancing. That’s why one day, Maiko’s mother found her work in the red light district. She thought for sure that Maiko would be too uncomfortable to work a job like that, and would see even a tiny bit of the struggle her mother was going through… But despite her mother’s intentions, Maiko learned pole dancing, lap dancing, and belly dancing from the red light district and managed to somehow NOT get molested from the experiences. It probably helped that some of the people Maiko worked for in that district were fans of her work, keeping people off of her and keeping her from doing anything truly perverted. But that was the last straw for Maiko’s mother. Her last ditch effort to “teach Maiko a lesson” failed, and her daughter would just keep making the most of her life. So Maiko’s mother abandoned her without warning, leaving the apartment entirely in Maiko’s hands. Maiko was heartbroken and crushed by being left all alone – for a time, her career in dancing suffered because she was miserable and alone. She picked herself back up and relied on her fanbase as her only remaining friends – but of course, fans can be cruel and fickle. Some would inevitably lose interest in her online channel, or verbally abuse her on stage. Nevertheless, Hope’s Peak scouted her at about this time, and Maiko took it for the golden ticket that it was. She wouldn’t have to pay for tuition or living at the dorms. A load would be taken off her shoulders, and she could continue to dance to her heart’s content. … But Maiko still had abandonment issues. And those would never truly go away…
Marin Mizuta
Tumblr media
The Ultimate Weather Forecaster. The girl that people tuned into nationwide for both morning and evening news. The girl whose weather predictions are always accurate. Always. Even Kizakura was shocked to see from the start of her career, Marin had never failed to predict how a day would turn out; like everyone else, he’d always just taken Marin to be a “more accurate than most forecasters” kind of girl. If this wasn’t a talent worthy of Hope’s Peak Academy, what was? Marin Mizuta was a nationwide celebrity that enjoyed fame without any of the drawbacks or pitfalls that regular showbusiness personalities went through. After all, she didn’t have to cheat to get ahead, or really “compete” at all. When it comes to forecasting, you’re either correct, partially wrong, or totally wrong. Marin always makes her own predictions, using her own personal data, and people just eat her up for the weather girl being her adorable, sleepy, loveable self that she is~ But how did Marin start out? What’s her “origin story”? Well, ironically enough, she shares some parallels with Chihiro Fujisaki. Her father was a weatherman, and when Marin was really young she idolized her Papa. Every time he came on the air, it was a magical time for Marin. He was like most weathermen in that he wasn’t always right, but that was okay! Nobody was perfect, and Marin and her little sister were so proud to have him as a father. … Yeah, Marin has a little sister. That’s where she gets her verbal tic from. It wasn’t long before Marin was calling herself EVERYONE’S Big Sis – even if they were older than her. Marin was just responsible like that. Still, as her childhood progressed, Marin became enthralled with learning about her father’s job. She wanted to be just like him, but more than that she wanted to help her dad get more accurate results so that everyone could see him the same way that she saw him. By the age of eight, she was learning about equipment that gathered weather data, and she started to read the patterns in said data to make predictions. Marin pointed out to her dad that the problem with the data lied in the equipment itself; a machine is only as smart as the people who made them. Her dad just tussled her hair and admitted that yes, the machines they had probably weren’t the best in the world, but it’s what the weather station could afford. And the results they got managed to match up with other weather stations across the country. What they had was good enough.
Marin wasn’t satisfied with that answer. Her dad was the best weatherman, and he should have the best equipment to sort and properly analyze the data. So by age ten, she’d researched enough about equipment from around the world to figure out what worked, and what didn’t. Of course she couldn’t just go out and buy the “good stuff” that was already in existence… If her dad’s weather station couldn’t afford it, then a ten year old certainly couldn’t. Instead, Marin innovated. She build homemade antennas and computer programs that would refine and organize the data so her father could interpret them more easily. He would get the BEST data, and there’d be room for weather fluctuations. And… when her dad found out what she’d been working on after school… He was astonished. Marin had spent ludicrous amounts of time and her allowance money to build this equipment, and amazingly enough it WORKED. Marin had needed to learn some pretty high level math and science to understand any of this; yet she’d managed to do so. By age twelve Marin was allowed to appear on the air and announce the results that she worked her butt off for. Unfortunately, she did develop a habit of falling asleep at the drop of a hat; but honestly, just building the equipment was half the battle – she kept refining it, and all that effort made her rather exhausted. … Still, it gave her an adorable quirk, don’t you think? Audiences sure seemed to think so. A kid that woke up early to give the morning news, and stayed up late to give the evening news, is it any wonder she was so tired? Of course many thought that her father and the news station was being modest and letting a kid take the credit for the accurate predictions… But no, the station was quite open about Marin being a child genius. And so for the past four years, Marin has been gaining popularity, her forecasts going nationwide pretty quickly. She was happy enough to accept coming to Hope’s Peak; if only so that she could develop her talent further and help her father. Because for her, that was still her dream. To show the world how great he is. Not that the world could love a man as much as his daughter does… But still, it’s the thought that counts, yeah?
Mikoto Ikutsuki
Tumblr media
The Ultimate Spy. It shouldn’t be hard to imagine that there would be a family with secrets out there as big as the Kirigiri lineage of detectives. But, here we are. There is another family of skilled people that go as far back as the Kirigiri line, and Koichi Kizakura had no idea they existed. Not even Jin or Kyoko knew. Interesting story about the Itsuki family. Turns out they have a long, bitter history with the Kirigiri line. Mikoto is tight-lipped on where the feud began, but she admits that for generations the Itsuki family has clashed with the Kirigiri’s on how investigations should be conducted and carried out. Their rivalry is… cold. Clinical. Professional. Each family seeking to close a case the fastest and with absolute finality, no loose ends to tie up. Of course… spies and detectives are very different professions to begin with. But generations ago, it seemed like they could have worked out an alliance between the two families. … It never did work out. There was harsh disagreements on policy and lengths the families would go to complete investigations, lines that one family would never cross but the other absolutely would. In short… Mikoto came to Hope’s Peak of her own accord. She baited Kizakura into discovering her, essentially taking a page out of Kyoko’s book and swallowing her pride as a spy to become “known”. But it was for the sake of an investigation, and Mikoto did not intend to stay longer than necessary. The only reason she revealed so much of her family’s history to Kyoko and Jin was to see if they knew about the Kirigiri-Itsuki feud – their ignorance only cemented the suspicions that Mikoto had. Jin’s father was as set in his ways as he always was, never revealing information unless he had to. Mikoto was honestly sickened to be in proximity to such woeful ignorance. … But she will stop at nothing to complete her investigation. Mikoto has no intention of seeking help from a generation of the Kirigiri line that chooses to “forget” the past; she doesn’t care how talented the students of this academy are, they’re all a joke to Mikoto. The sooner she can complete her investigation, the better. … Now, if certain “unlucky” individuals would stop “checking up on her”… making her think about unnecessary feelings.
Misuzu Aisaka
Tumblr media
The Ultimate Shrine Maiden. Misuzu comes from a long line of shrine maidens that are well-known in her home village in northern Japan. Seeing Angie Yonaga and Kinji Uehara adapt to life at Hope’s Peak well enough, Kizakura thought to keep the diversity going and looked into Shinto shrines to see if any maidens spoke out to him as “gifted”. Misuzu was certainly the most maiden dedicated that he came across. Her family raised her well – she was heavily traditional, disciplined, and devout. Misuzu was also hard-working, to the point that he’d heard about her all the way in Tokyo despite how small and out of the way her village was. Misuzu was doing everything that she could to keep the Shinto religion alive even in the modern day, and Kizakura had to respect that. Which is why he offered her the chance to attend Hope’s Peak. It might be unorthodox, removing herself from her shrine – but Kizakura argued that this was Misuzu’s chance for some exposure, to have others “remember” the “old ways” with her becoming even more famous and for her to learn about other shrines. Misuzu didn’t care so much about the opportunity for fame for her own sake. But if it would help her village and family to thrive, if she could open up others’ hearts to Shinto… She accepted Kizakura’s invitation. She wasn’t necessarily concerned about her own advancement and “talent”, but she was peripherally aware of dedicated students at Hope’s Peak, so she knew that it wouldn’t be a complete waste of time if she learned alongside them. … Of course, Hope’s Peak was in the heart of Tokyo, and there was a variety of people who lived in the modern day and didn’t care one bit about the spiritual. She knew it would be a challenge to attend this school. But Misuzu was up for the challenge.
Narumi Osone
Tumblr media
The Ultimate Gourmet. One could say that she was made to fill the void left behind by Teruteru Hanamura and Ruruka Ando, but… She doesn’t cook. Narumi reviews food and tastes it. She’s a very discerning, picky, and judgmental girl at that. From food to fashion to people… Narumi will speak her mind, whether you like it or not. As you might imagine, Narumi is the daughter of a multi-millionaire. She hasn’t had to worry about a lack of creature comforts; and whatever Narumi wanted, her parents would get for her, no qualms or conditions. This has led to Narumi being an absolute disaster when she goes out to shop or eat… But especially eating. If your restaurant isn’t up to her refined palette, she has absolutely no problem in calling Daddy and shutting your business down. That’s not to say Narumi doesn’t give you a chance; as long as you hit a 7 out of 10 with her, Narumi will leave you alone. And it’s not like she goes around with malicious intent… Narumi’s just starving for good food. And she wants to try loads of different things. You just need to impress her enough, even if your establishment isn’t rated 5-stars. … Of course, Narumi does have a petty side to her, as well. If any of her friends want to get into cooking, Narumi makes sure to list out all their faults and weaknesses before calling in personal tutors to train said friends. And even if those friends change their minds midway through training… Narumi doesn’t let them back out. They wanted to learn cooking. They’re going to be first-rate, damnit. Narumi wants good food. And she says that’s harder to find than you might think. Narumi doesn’t take well to people criticizing her, of course. Or be stuck in a place or with people she doesn’t like. Her abrasive and whimsical personality is off-putting for many people, and naturally that makes her circle of friends… small. Narumi doesn’t care so much, because she wants only the very best. And even if people have a lot of choice words for Narumi, her judgments of food are second to none – she IS fair, and she can get the maximum discernment of flavors, textures, and smells out of any meal to render that fair, impartial verdict. … She just might not come across that way. When Narumi got scouted for Hope’s Peak as the Ultimate Gourmet, her parents were over the moon. They knew she was special and should be recognized as such. … Byakuya and Shinobu Togami, however… could be less than thrilled with Narumi’s arrival. Daughter that comes from wealth she may be, but compared to them, Narumi is practically lazy. And bratty. … So bratty.
Nico Himuro
Tumblr media
The Ultimate Poet. She’s written 14,794.837 poems. … Yes, she counts the poems that are works-in-progress, hence the decimal. Naturally, she fills the void left behind by Tsubasa Kamii, the last Ultimate Poet. Although… to be quite fair, Nico is a very different poet from her predecessor. In personality and nature, she’s similar to Touko Fukawa in being a pessimist who doesn’t think highly of herself at all. She frequently calls herself trash, and imagines that’s just what people think of her. But… Nico has good reason to think that others think little of her. The girl’s home life is far from wholesome; she’s the middle sibling of seven children, and their mother just keeps moving onto the next man when she grows tired of the next one. Consequentially, her siblings adopted a “look out for #1” mentality – frequently egging each other on and picking on Nico in particular because she doesn’t fight back against their bullying. Even at school, it’s not strange for the mean kids to home in on her, and for the teachers to “forget” if they ever received her schoolwork (as a favor to their more favorite students, who don’t like Nico that much for being the “quiet, weird kid”). There’s SOME nice teachers and friends that try to help Nico see the brighter side of life, but there’s enough of the rotten people to make Nico feel miserable and worthless. That’s why she took to poetry in private. She wanted to express herself in some way, but naturally she had no intention of sharing those poems with the rest of the world; this was just a release for herself. Her notebook was her “Fortress of Solitude”, as depressing as that sounds. And then one of her bullies stole that Fortress… He read her poems without her permission, and found them surprisingly well-written; he couldn’t help but share them with others, who also were shocked that THAT Nico Himuro was a gifted poet… It’s not surprising that after that, Nico’s life changed quite a lot. Her schoolmates and teachers were so much nicer. Her siblings stopped picking on her out of fear of what the neighborhood kids would do them for abusing their local celebrity. Her mother entered her into poetry competitions to win cash prizes and get higher accolades and fame… Nico was still miserable, though. She’d suffered abuse for years, and now that everyone was singing a different tune, Nico was just waiting for the other shoe to drop. They only cared about her because she was a “good poet”, but what happened once they lost interest or her “skills” dulled? Wasn’t the fact that they only liked her for being good at something pretty shallow? Nico just couldn’t help doubting everyone, even with her celebrity status… She remained passionate about poetry because that was the only way she could express herself. To be “truly happy”… at least until her abilities disappeared, and she was left with nothing. Nico really did think life was fleeting like that… And then Hope’s Peak scouted her. Nico still didn’t have high hopes for her life; Hope’s Peak was just an even bigger stage, and once she screwed up here, her life would be over. That’s what Nico keeps thinking… But she’s got some persistent friends that want to prove her otherwise…

You sighed softly, rubbing both temples with your hands. The interview on the breakfast show was starting in a few moments, and most of the band were not ready and had the best time teasing each other or simply refusing to cooperate just like Ayumu.
As a experienced manager, you only looked at your smartwatch – five minutes and twenty-three seconds left, which is quite a lot of time, contrary to appearances. You immediately looked at Shou, who was the leader of this whole six-person kindergarten, and then at Gaku, who was by far the most thoughtful and calm of them all.
... All right, guys. Focus, focus. Ruka, wear a waistcoat and pants. Don’t run around without clothes. You’ll still get sick.” You walked over to the young man, handing him his outfit for the day, then fixed his hair. “When the interview and performance are over, I’ll take you all out for a delicious dinner, so let’s be in tune tonight, shall we?”
“Yes, Y/N-san! Thank you~!” The man’s smile was sincere, and thoughts of food overshadowed his reluctance to appear on TV program.
Then you looked at the blue-haired and previously mentioned Ayumu sitting on an armchair in the corner of the room, to whom you also approached after a short while. Your warm hand adjusted the collar of his light-colored shirt, and moments later with your free hand you handed him his favorite candy bar covered in milk chocolate.
“After the interview, I’ll buy you another one, ‘kay?” You looked at him fondly, and the twenty-six-year-old nodded. Although Tachibana was an introvert and didn’t like crowds of people nor just talking to others, he felt completely safe and understood with you. Plus, he was getting sweets from you, even though you both knew he shouldn’t have eaten them so much.
Reiji and Haruto finished dressing and asked you to judge the outfits. All you said was that they look very good and manly as always, and will definitely attract the attention of the cameras this morning. Such words for the male idol were a kind of boost, so they smiled triumphantly, silently arguing about which one you like more.
“... What do you think about me, lady Y/N?” Shou asked as he spun around and you just giggled. He always called you per lady or miss.
“You definitely look wonderful. I told you that gloves would be perfect for your style.” Another smile appeared on your face and the leader just laughed, thanking you for the compliment. “All right, Gaku. Are you ready too?”
“I guess so, could you just tie a button on the back for me?”
“Yes, of course.” You quickly complied with the request of the tall, dark-haired member of the band, and then tapped him on the shoulder, thus signaling that he was ready.
Perfectly with the man’s thanks, the producer invited the whole ROCK DOWN onto the stage with two couches and a table full of snacks. So you smiled at all six of them, giving both thumbs up. Morning interviews were really important in the culture of jrock or jpop bands, so you wanted everything to go your way.
All six moved towards the exit of the locker room, but before they finally left it, each of them gave you a quick but sweet kiss right on the cheek. Stunned, you just shook your head in amusement and shouted a loud ‘Good luck!’ in their direction.
‘Maybe interviews aren’t so bad after all...?’ All six thought, then greeted the host with a low bow.

Tri-Arame: Calming Music
Primary Pairing Trio: YuuAyuSetsu Words: 542 Rating: G Time Frame: Sometime in their young adult lives after Setsuna has started touring as a professional idol Prompt: Pianissimo
---------
Author's Note: Bonus 3rd entry for the 14th
Summary: Setsuna needs some comfort for a bout of homesickness
---------
Setsuna didn’t like this feeling. She loved being on tour, shouting her love from various stages across the nation, spreading smiles and joy along the way. But returning to the hotel after the show, and coming down from that high, alone, wasn’t fun.
She had been getting better over the last few tours, with a lot of support from her girlfriends, of course. Both Yuu and Ayumu had made it a point to visit her on the road during trips lasting more than a week. Ayumu was vigilant in packing familiar items like pajamas or plushies in Setsuna’s luggage and had even started a ritual where the three would fall asleep together over a video call. And that had all helped Setsuna a lot.
But every so often, like right now, the homesickness struck unusually harder.
Setsuna hated to impose her needs on others, even those closest to her like her girlfriends, but as soon as the door closed behind her, she pulled out her phone and made the call.
“Setsuna-chan!” Yuu’s cheerful voice picked up almost immediately. “Interesting timing. I was just about to try playing my new piece. Wanna listen?”
“Yes, please.”
“Are you alright, Setsuna-chan?” Ayumu asked, having also connected to the call.
Of course Ayumu would pick up on the tone, even though the phone line.
“I’m fine, I just…” She trailed off.
“Wanted to hear our voices?” Yuu finished for her.
Geez, they could both read her like a book. Still, that was one of the many things Setsuna loved about them.
“Yeah…”
“Well, we can talk if you prefer.”
“No, go ahead and play. I love listening to Yuu-san’s music.”
“Actually… hrm… I wonder if I can…” Rummaging could be heard through the speaker as Yuu looked for something. “Ah, here we go.”
Setsuna flinched as static scratched into her ear for half a second.
“Do you have some headphones, Setsuna-chan?”
“Yes, let me find them.” Setsuna hurried to her bag, dug out the set and plugged it into her phone.
“Alright, let’s see if this works.” Yuu said. “I’m using Ayumu’s phone since I patched mine into the keyboard. I hope you’ll be able to hear it properly, Setsuna-chan.”
A moment later, music poured through the speakers of Setsuna’s headset. She moved to the suit’s couch and sat down so she could better relax and let the piece really soak in.
The gentle melody brought to mind walking through the park, causing Setsuna to recall such a walk she had shared with her girlfriends when they visited her over the weekend. Leaves turning color, falling from branches, and crunching under foot. The soft chords descended into pianissimo like the murmurs of the brook winding through the park. A slight crescendo as they approached a fountain. A few staccato notes as they dropped food in to feed the koi.
Had Yuu intentionally written her piece to inspire such visions? Either way, it was lovely, and had worked wonders help Setsuna calm her nerves.
“So, whadaya think?” Yuu asked.
“Mmm…” Was all that came out of Setsuna’s mouth.
“I think she liked it.” Ayumu said with a light laugh.
“Wanna hear more?” Yuu asked.
“Yes, please.” Setsuna responded. “Thank you, Yuu-san.”
And so, the private concert continued.
---------
Author's Note Continued: I really need to write more about Yuu as a musician and composer. Also, writing this made me want to listen to some nice calming piano music myself. So I am.

Of all the people Ayumu could meet on their trip around Sumeru taking care of things, Tonia is not somebody they would have expected to stumble across. Much to their annoyance, they hoped they'd never get to see any of the Harbingers ever again, but of course that whatever higher power likes toying with them wouldn't grant their wish.
Now the question is; given her own... peculiarities, what does she know?
( There's nowhere to go with the approaching rainstorm. )
"If you're looking for shelter, Gandharva Ville isn't far from here. You should make it before the storm hits if you hurry up." maybe she'll leave them alone.
It doesn't make sense.
In her own memories, the seat of the Sixth is a cold throne, lacking any name or activity. It's been that way for years, she remembers her colleagues telling her. And yet, if she looks through other memories - the special ones, preserved in silver resin, there is a face and a certain sense of understanding, of connection, associated with that empty seat.
It doesn't make sense. The leylines pry open their thoughts and offer nothing either - no memory, no data. If the world remembers nothing, then that should be that. The story should end there. But her mentor has taught her much, and among them, there is a peculiar piece of knowledge—to be remembered is to exist. Memory is existence.
And this is what Tonia remembers and not-remembers: the Sixth had stolen a gnosis, their last whereabouts being around Sumeru. Liyue is not too far.
Fine then. Even if the region won't take kindly to Fatui presence so soon again, the situation begs for an answer nonetheless. So an excuse about business trips and whatnot thrown to the wind, the Harbinger treks her way across the national borders. She doesn't head straight for the city—even if intel is likely to be better there, she doubts she can walk through the gates without a blink.
The girl consults the map in her hands, an annoyed sniff slipping. The outskirts, villages... There's apparently one nearby enough. She can start there - and before it starts pouring, judging from the heavy clouds in the near distance—
Tumblr media
"Huh?" The voice doesn't register as familiar, not immediately. She blinks up, finding a boy with a giant hat - "Uh, yeah, I know that. I'll be heading there soon."
Another blink. The strange not-memory she shouldn't have overlays, for a moment - the non-existent Sixth had a penchant for big hats too, judging from all the memories of them she collected. Sparse scenes of a young boy, seemingly no older than her, in Inazuman dress and who spoke like—
"—You!" It falls out immediately, once it all clicks. Tonia points an insistent finger at Scaramouche. "Where the hell have you been? No, what the hell has been going on! I know something's happened, because I can barely remember you anymore, you know - compared to everyone else, who just straight up doesn't!"

Phantasmagoria: Part 4
Note: here is part 4 of the Drabble I’ve been working on regarding Enmu’s human life. I aim to write him as someone who has been through some very difficult things in his life but also a highly manipulative person who cares more about his own needs than the needs of others.
CW for gore, death, medical malpractice, abuse, and manipulation
Part 4
Enmu’s body shook. He couldn’t clear his head. Why were his eyes stinging like this?
Are you sure you can handle this, Enmu? His brother’s words echoed in his mind, This clinic is no place for the delicate.
But I am not delicate! he thought as he took in a slow, deep breath. Now was no time to let his emotions influence him. He blinked until his vision cleared and approached the examination table. Could it be that whatever mauled his former patient had gotten his father as well?
An odd mark on Sato’s ankle caught his eye. He lifted the tattered leg of the man’s trousers. There was no denying it. Those marks couldn’t be anything other than rope burns.
Hideki Sato hadn’t simply fallen off a boat and drowned. No, something more was at play. Enmu carefully examined the torn flesh of his upper thigh. There was an awful lot of bruising around the wounds for a post mortem injury. Similar bruising around what was left of his chest. Neck, too. Were those fingerprints around his throat?
The more he saw the more disturbed he became. No, this was no mere fishing accident, but someone must have wanted it to look that way.
But why? Who? Sato was fairly well liked, at least from what Enmu knew of him. Just an average, humble, workaday man nearing middle age. Nothing about him really stood out. He was only middle class so it was unlikely he was killed for his money.
Enmu lifted one of the man’s mangled arms. Scraps of his tattered shirt still clung to the body, practically glued in place by congealed blood. He began the tedious task of removing the tattered remnants of clothing for a better look at the wounds. Yet as he pulled away what was left of the shirt, he saw something that made his own blood run cold.
It wasn’t the large chunk of flesh missing from the man’s shoulder that caught his eye, but a smaller wound just above it. The sight nearly made him drop his scalpel. Had he never removed the shirt he wouldn’t have seen the unmistakably human teeth marks in the flesh. Well, human save for a set of deep gouge marks where the canines would normally be.
No matter how many times Enmu looked away then back at the bite mark on the corpse’s bruised flesh it didn’t disappear. He bit down hard on his lower lip, something Ayumu had termed a disgusting habit Enmu never outgrew. Pinching himself never seemed to illicit much pain, anyway.
Yet the sight in front of him never wavered of changed even as pain shot through his lip and the sharp, metallic taste of blood filled his mouth. The more he examined the various places on the body where large chunks of flesh had been torn away, the more bite marks he found. He took a step back from the cadaver as a bead of cold sweat trickled down his forehead.
The idea was too absurd to even entertain. Cannibalism? Sato-san being eaten alive? Murder in a town this size? It was preposterous. If he told Ayumu what he discovered he’d think Enmu had lost it completely.
If his sanity was called into question he would lose everything. Enmu never had any hope of escaping his brother before attaining this position. He wanted more than anything to flee the city and go somewhere far away where Ayumu could never find him. A place where he could live life on his own terms.
He was offered this opportunity through nothing more than sheer dumb luck. The family clinic was passed down through the generations father to eldest son. Ayumu had been unable to maintain the position due to failing health and had no other option.
After all, the Tamio’s were a rather secluded bunch. Enmu was even more so. His episodes became worse after his father disappeared, enough to disturb the peace of the townsfolk. After that Enmu wasn’t allowed out of the house much. Ayumu only loosened the reins upon realizing he needed a replacement. As isolated as he was up to that point, it was unlikely his former identity would be remembered by many.
The position was fairly lucrative at the start. Yet by the time Enmu fully took over Ayumu’s position their clinic had competition. Within the past decade the little town had grown quite a bit. Similar businesses were starting to crop up, resulting in less customers.
If things kept going the way they were, Enmu wouldn’t have enough money to escape until his mid thirties. Something had to be done.
Yet if his sanity was called into question it would all come crashing down. Not just his job but his future plans. Any shot at freedom would be dashed. His very identity could be at stake. Enmu couldn’t bring himself to live as that person again. If he had to dirty his hands to avoid such a fate, so be it.
He already had blood on his hands. One of his patients passed away months after being discharged from treatment. The patient’s wife had been unable to prove anything. The resurgence of her husband’s symptoms had been chalked up to relapse. What was one more lie?
Breathing heavily he covered the body with a sheet. He’d seen more than enough. Enmu was aware that leaving the townsfolk in the dark about something like this placed their safety in jeopardy but he couldn’t bring himself to care.
Whatever happened back there it’s of no concern to me, he thought as he peeled off his bloody gloves, whatever is lurking out there probably only attacked Sato because he was in it’s territory. Same with Father. But I know better than to go back there now. I’ll be safe.
At least that was what he told himself.

uugugugugu even though I said I wouldn’t take so long on the next update... it’s been almost four months !!! I’m so sorry!! While I did draw a couple of one-shots during this time as distractions I will admit that I really struggled drawing this too... But!! I’m not going to sulk! I can do that in private. Let’s talk about the one thing on everyone’s minds:
Tumblr media
This is why Sasuke isn’t purple.
In all seriousness I just thought it’d be funny if he were a realistic snake, and it’s when he’s “cutie-fied” in someone’s mind that he becomes purple and round.
I bet once Shioriko starts getting closer with Ayumu, she might blink one day and notice that Sasuke’s become purple LMAO
Next question:
Tumblr media
YEAH I really went and did that in this story. Yes I’ve been on this 18 month journey fully knowing I was going to do this to my favourite character! Do I feel bad? Ehh... maybe a little! I hope I was able to pull this part of the story off. I don’t feel particularly confident about it. Just know that I did try my hardest to make this feel genuine.
Man, I hope people don’t get mad at me ahahahaha. I’d talk more about this but I feel that’d be tapping into spoiler territory. Maybe I’ll save it for a discussion when this series finishes.
As trivia, I had this planned since the beginning. Back when Yuu Takasaki didn’t have a name and we didn’t really know what her personality was going to be like. I just think it’s interesting that this scene kind of formed along side my understanding of Yuu as a character.
But yes, I did struggle making this comic. It’s the longest yet, sitting at 27 pages. Somehow I keep making these longer and longer (and I’m certain it’s not necessary, but I can reflect on that in my art review for 2021.) I also had a hard time figuring out the lighting, I think I must’ve tried 3-4 different approaches to the same mood. It took a looonng while to settle on a colouring strategy for this comic. I hope the outcome is pleasing to look at!
It’s really hard to  talk about this comic without going deep into the story... but I will resist...!! I guess the last thing I want to talk about is that there are numerous references to the earlier comics in this series. I had a lot of fun mirroring previous scenes and having little easter eggs. If you’re able to pick them out it’d make me really happy!
Tumblr media
(I wonder if  anyone noticed this throwback LOL)
I hope you all can forgive me for not including Setsuna in this update, by the way. Especially with how she kind of took a backseat last update too. This part is just Ayumu-centric. Setsuna will get her time to shine very soon!
Anyhow, now Ayumu’s come clean and and her worries are a lot less cluttered than they used to be. It’s a lot easier to think when you work through your problems step-by-step!
There’s one final loose thread to deal with and I think we all know what that is. Only one chapter left in this story, please look forward to it!
Until next time.

more hlitf stories about bringing their child to work? like kurosawa, chiba, momose or tsugaru?
Hi! Thank you for your ask! I adore writing domestic/family bliss. It made me so happy to write this one too. So, if you have more fluff requests, you can send them to me. I also have an idea about Kaga's and Ishigami's kids. Tell me, if you're interested.
Public Safety detectives bringing their child(ren) to work: Takaomi Tsugaru & Takeru Momose
Ayumu Shinonome version
Hideki Ishigami & Hyogo Kaga version
Seiji Goto version
Word counting: 1300
A knock on the door made the Chief Tsugaru put away the documents and look at the person who entered. His smiling wife made her way toward him. Instead of stopping in front of the desk, she rounded it and leaned against the wall. Tsugaru turned to her with a pout on his face.
"What personal matter questions do you have during work hours?" he asked his wife while fake rolling his eyes.
"Guess who will come to visit you!" MC continued, more cheerfully than needed. She started to caress her husband's messy hair.
"As if I don't see her every day at home. Tell this traitor to go to her boyfriend, not me!"
MC let out a hearty laugh that made her husband smile while leaning into her soft hand. The moment was interrupted by a knock on the door. Tsugaru's "former" best friend, now "rival" entered the office.
"I don't want to talk with you today or tomorrow, or the entire month," Tsugaru returned to his pout and irrational anger.
"Good thing that only for a month. Knowing the kids, in a few years, they'll want to marry. We will have to prepare the ceremony together," Momose teased a friend with a mischievous grin on his face.
Looking at him, MC remembered how he used to be like this with her. Who could have thought that Tsugaru would be at the receiving end of Momose's famous teasing glare?
Before Tsugaru became even more absurd, Momose put a file on his desk. MC didn't need to be told what to do to know it was high time to leave the men alone.
"Don't forget what I told you!" she said and left the office.
In less than half an hour, MC's words turned into reality, and her sixteen-year-old daughter made her appearance. Poor Kaga, who passed by, had to find a way to remain steady when the unruly Hare jumped on his back. He had always had a soft spot for Tsugaru's Baby Hare. Yet, he had no idea how to tell her that he wasn't as young as in the past, just like she wasn't small and light. So, the man was bearing the consequences of his kind heart while hoping that the girl would get tired of her habit before his back followed Namba's.
"I heard that you have a boyfriend now. I'm not sure that he will be happy to see you doing this," Kaga tried his luck.
"He will laugh while looking at the scene from a safe distance."
Usagi let herself slide back to the ground and patted Kaga's shoulders in a bad attempt to rearrange the wrinkles she had made.
"I see that dad already complained to everyone that I don't love him anymore," Baby Hare commented while going to her mother's desk.
After exchanging a few phrases with her mom, Usagi wanted to go to her father's office. However, when she turned around, her head planted into a strong chest.
"Hi, dad!" the girl started cheerfully, ignoring the "angry" look on the man's face.
"Hi, traitor!"
"You said that you'll help me with this school research. You keep your words no matter what, do you?" the girl continued to tease her dad.
"Of course I do. You see, I love you just as much as I loved you before I saw that boy devouring you in front of our house!"
"He just gave me a peck on the lips! Don't be dramatic!"
Momose approached the comics and leaned against MC's desk. Out of nowhere, he took a pack of popcorn and offered some to his best friend's wife. Little Hare took the snack and continued watching the absurd drama in front of her.
"You know what's even funnier?" Momose asked, with his mouth half full. MC hummed in response, and the man continued: "Takaru forgot his home keys and is coming here to take my. He'll be here in less than five minutes."
Little Hare choked on the popcorn, and Momose had to give her a few back blows. Meanwhile, his son made his appearance. Takaru bowed in front of all the detectives and went towards his father. Momose already had the keys in his hands and handed them without even looking at the boy. Takaru greeted the two fighting Tsugarus, who couldn't care less about what was happening near them.
MC leaned in her chair and looked from Momose to his son. The men felt her eyes on them and turned towards her.
"Who is taller out of you two? I didn't observe that Takaru is already so tall."
Momose pointed his finger toward his son. Fifteen-year-old Takaru, who had inherited his father's calmness, and probably his mother's kindness, had Momose's famous large shoulders and tall stature.
"Have you ever thought about entering the police?" MC asked the boy. Momose was one of the best detectives that have ever worked for Public Safety. From his words, his son was even more intelligent than him. So, many people thought that he would follow his father's path. Yet, the boy had other ideas. He shook his head and continued watching the scene in front of him.
"Dad," the boy started without turning his head to Momose, who hummed in response. "Tsugaru is a Public Safety detective and from the start was considered nearly a genius, yes?" Takaru got the same response as before. "Usagi is at the top of her class, and the entire school knows how intelligent she is. So what is happening in here?" This time, Momose had no idea what to say. Instead, MC blurted a "Love".
Without saying a word, Takaru went towards Tsugaru and grabbed the man's shoulder. Shocked by the unexpected movement, the Chief turned towards the boy.
"I'm not sure that I can express my love the same way as you, but I promise I will love your daughter wholeheartedly. I will take care of her no matter what. So, don't be mad at her because of me!" Takaru bowed in front of Tsugaru and made a few steps toward his girlfriend. Tsugaru patted the boy's head, as he always did in the past, and went to his office without saying a word.
"Dad! You still have to help me!" Baby Hare yelled and followed her parent.
When Tsugaru's hand touched the doorknob, Takaru added: "I hope you won't mind if I act more maturely than you!"
Usagi stopped mid-way and covered her face in her hands to muffle her laugh. MC faked a cough in a poor attempt to cover her hysterical laugh. Momose squeezed his son's shoulder, took a few deep breaths, and finally said: "Be respectful!" These were the words that unlocked the laugh in him too.
"I don't remember you spending so much time with Kaga and Ishigami," a cheerful voice appeared out of nowhere. Kurosawa put a hand in front of the boy's face and waited for a high-five.
Takaru was too busy maintaining eye contact with Tsugaru. A broad smile followed the stern expression on the boy's face.
"I brought a gift card for you. You can use it for the ice cream from that store that sells jellyfish-flavored sweets."
Takaru made his way to Takaomi with the card in his hand. He stopped midway to squeeze his girlfriend's hand. After the gift reached its destination, Takaru thanked his dad for the keys and said his goodbyes. He knew better than to think that Tsugaru's antics would end with a card. But Baby Hare inherited a part of her father's personality too. So, he was ready to go through everything. Moreover, Momose's and Tsugaru's families were, actually, a big friendly one. Both Takaru and Usagi knew that they were loved by everyone in their family. So, why not tease the members?
