Limiting the choice to the shows and movies I have seen/know of. I'm not asking who the first actor you have seem playing Arthur was, rather the one you instinctively think about when someone mentions him or the one closest to your heart.

Vedic Astrology Observation (based on shows/films part 8)
King Arthur is deeply in love with Guinevere, his queen, and they're a possible Ashwini-Mula pair in Merlin (2008-2012).
Tumblr media
Also, this means the main cast of BBC's Merlin are possibly all Ketu nakshatra natives. Very interesting.
Tumblr media
KING & QUEEN OF CAMELOT.
Guinevere has also been played by Ketu natives, Vanessa Redgrave & Lena Headey.
Tumblr media
In 1994's TV movie Guinevere, she is played by Ashwini native Sheryl Lee.
Tumblr media
In the same movie, King Arthur is portrayed by Ashwini Moon Sean Patrick Flanery.
Tumblr media
In 1953's Knights of the Round Table, King Arthur and Guinevere are played by the Ketu natives, Mel Ferrer & Ava Gardner.
Tumblr media
In the same film, Lancelot, who is played by Robert Taylor, falls in love with the married Guinevere. They have their famous affair.
Tumblr media
As I'm looking into the actresses who've played Guinevere, I am noticing Pushya nakshatra frequently popping up. Pushya trines Uttarabhadrapada nakshatra, which is a nakshatra associated with marrying ‘up’ (along with the Ketu nakshatras for example, Jeff Bezos' current partner is Mula native and his ex wife is an Ashwini native — and Donald Trump had been mostly married to Ketu women etc., which can explain Guinevere's partial Ketu influence).
Ava Gardner also had Pushya ASC.
Camille Lou is another Pushya ASC native who played the character in La Legende Du Roi Arthur.
Tumblr media
Pushya Moon Cherie Lunghi played Guinevere in 1981's Excalibur.
Tumblr media
In 2004's King Arthur, Uttarabhadrapada Sun native Keira Knightley is Guinevere.
Tumblr media
In the cancelled series The Winter King, Pushya Sun Jordan Alexandra played her.
Tumblr media
In STARZ's cancelled series Camelot, Anuradha Sun & ASC native Tamsin Egerton was Guinevere.
Tumblr media
Guinevere is often depicted as a beautiful, noble queen who is married to King Arthur. She is portrayed, sometimes, as headstrong and independent — which makes sense of her Saturnian portrayals. Her betrayal of her husband (from her affair with Lancelot) ultimately leads to the downfall of Camelot, which also explains her Ketuvian portrayals as well. Though, Morgana is the ultimate bringer of chaos to Camelot, and she is frequently played by Ketu nakshatra natives.
Tumblr media
Magha Moon Helena Bonham Carter as Morgana in 1998's Merlin.
But typical of the Saturn-Ketu enmity, Morgana is often portrayed as jealous towards Guinevere, mostly when it comes to her position as Queen and her relationship with Arthur. Due to her desire for power, she's always plotting against Guinevere and King Arthur. And typical of this planetary friction, Guinevere represents the ideal, perfect queen while Morgana represents a chaotic, tyrannical queen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It reminds me of the Saturn-Ketu enmity in the kdrama It's Okay to Not Be Okay, in which the Ketuvian is depicted as the villainized woman, once again, and the Saturnian is portrayed as the perfect ideal woman. Nam Joo-ri is played by Pushya Sun native Park Gyu-young, while Ko Moon-young is played by Magha Moon native Seo Yea-ji.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Saturnian is typically headstrong and cool-mannered, while the Ketuvian operates in impulsive ways. It's funny, because they are ultimately similar. Both have taming and restricting abilities, both are materially draining but the one with Ketu influence is just more villainized for it.
Tumblr media
Speaking of, Aşk-ı Memnu has a mother-daughter relationship which depicts this enmity once again between Saturn and Ketu. The differences and similarities show so perfectly in their rivalry for wealth & admiration.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even though Bihter (Mula native) denies being anything like her mother, in the end, they are one in the same.

Arthurian screen adaptations on a competency scale of theme comprehension through transformative works as it intersects with recognizability and cultural resonance.
Paint By Numbers Arthuriana
Watered down content designed to pander to a wide audience with surface level understanding of the legends. Thoughtless changes made in the interest of mass appeal and profit. Disrespectful to the history and themes of the original. Misogynistic and racist.
First Knight (1995)
Quest For Camelot (1998)
BBC Merlin (2008-12)
The Winter King (2023)
Arthurian Wiki + Other Media = Good?
Adds shallow interpretations of Arthurian elements or characters to an existing IP in an attempt to capitalize on both markets. Misinterprets or simply doesn't care about the history and themes which makes Arthuriana resonate. Misogynistic and racist.
Fate Series (2004-now)
Shrek the Third (2007)
Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
Scooby Doo the Sword and the Scoob (2021)
Make It Your Own (Affectionate)
Reimagined Arthuriana in a way which transforms the legends into a fresh story, genre, tone, culture, or all four while maintaining the core characters, themes, subjects, values, and appeal to long-time Arthurian enthusiasts. Respects and uplifts women and minorities.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)
Excalibur (1981)
Knightriders (1981)
Shadow of the Raven (1988)
New Adventures of a Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court (1988)
Who Even Is That?
Utilizes a character name while failing to realize the character's potential or outright slanders them and the others around them. Drastically worsens the source material narratively and through poor characterization. Misrepresents the original. Misogynistic and racist.
The Black Knight (1954)
Guinevere (1994)
King Arthur (2004)
Perceval (2007)
"Arthurian" Coat of Paint
Stories so abstract they butcher or scarcely resemble the source material. Fundamental misrepresentation of the Arthuriana. Disrespectful to the history and themes of the original. Misogynistic and racist.
The Fisher King (1991)
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017)
Netflix Cursed (2020)
The Green Knight (2021)
