Teams and drivers competed in twenty Grands Prix-starting in Australia on 26 March and ending in Abu Dhabi on 26 November-for the World Drivers' and World Constructors' championships.Īs the reigning Drivers' Champion Nico Rosberg announced his retirement from the sport in December 2016, the 2017 season was the first since 1994 in which the reigning champion did not compete. It featured the 68th Formula One World Championship, a motor racing championship for Formula One cars which is recognised by the sport's governing body, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), as the highest class of competition for open-wheel racing cars. The 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 71st season of Formula One motor racing. Pictured is the W08 EQ Power+, the car entered by the team in 2017. "Older F1 Racing Games Removed from Sale on Steam". Motorsport magazine Autosport gave the game a positive review, saying all the features from F1 2016 have been improved. Otherwise, the car was released as purchasable downloadable content at a later date. * The McLaren MP4/4 is available in the Special Edition, only available to players who pre-order the game or purchase it on its release date. Players can also get to drive twelve classic cars in invitational events, time trials, and online multiplayer modes: The game also includes different race formats, such as doing a double header, and forming a grid that is determined by either a qualifying session or the results of the previous race. Īs with Formula E and the World Rally Championship, the game has marked the beginning of a Formula One eSports series. Compared to the previous game, this game lets players have more control over the research and development system, and choose on how they use different engine components and gearboxes, which have been updated in the game so that at least one of them may fail after so much use, and may have to take grid penalties at the following race. In addition, four alternative circuit layouts can be tried out at the Silverstone Circuit, Bahrain International Circuit, Suzuka Circuit and Circuit of the Americas, players can drive at the Circuit de Monaco at night, a new "Championships" mode is included, and there are "numerous new gameplay types". For the first time in Codemasters' Formula One game series, the career mode includes female avatars for the female players, and allows players to design their helmets and car numbers. The cars can also be used in time trials and online multiplayer modes. This time, at various times, players get invited to compete in events where they drive classic F1 cars, an element previously used in F1 2013. As with many other Formula One games, the player can choose to play in Career mode as their avatar, and compete at every circuit on the 2017 Formula One calendar alongside all ten teams competing in the 2017 season.

MEET YN YLN May 29, 2017
Tumblr media
Yn Yln has been making her mark in the industry.
From detailed writing on fashion pieces to analyzing the newest models of F1 cars, Yn Yln is racing through the internet.
Yln told the BBC it was her bursting of emotions that first got her to write.
Her love of fashion was what started her journey. She put up her first blog up in 2010 titled “Layering”. Yln showcased several ways to style for the winter which skyrocketed her blog.
She then wrote about the racing sport. Yln mentioned a friend of hers raced and that is where her writing started to flourish.
“He just got me really interested in the sport that I couldn’t go a week without writing whether Hamilton got a win or modifications had been made to the sport.”
The writer got her first issue in Vogue out this May 11th. The issue was about her sister, Kylie Yln, and her entrepreneurship.
But while she has achieved much beyond her years, Yln has much more ahead of her. She continues to help the writing industry advance and flourish.

charles_leclerc I remember watching Formula 1 being younger and dreaming of one day being part of it. I can't believe this day has arrived and that I will be racing with Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team for the 2018 Formula 1 World Championship. I am hugely thankful to all the people who have been involved in my path to Formula 1.
A special thought to my father that did absolutly everthing for me to get there and to Jules that also helped me massively, I wish you two were here to see that but l'm sure you will follow me from up there.
A special thank you to the Ferrari Drivers Academy/Scuderia Ferrari, my sponsors/partners, Nicolas Todt/All Road Management, my family, all the people close to me during all these years & obviously Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team for giving me this opportunity.

Charles Leclerc explains reasons behind #16 F1 number choice
december 13, 2017
Tumblr media
Since he was young, Leclerc has been dreamt of his future in being an F1 driver, as well as his future number.
The 20 year old driver explains it has always been the number he was going to pick.
“There is too much emotional connection for me to not pick this number. I hold this number deep in my heart and the person who helped me achieve everything, is mainly the reason. I hope to do the number well and give it justice.”
He has yet to specify who he is talking about but fans would guess a close friend. READ MORE…

it was nerve shaking for both yn and charles to come into the paddock knowing the other would be there but they both walked in with confidence.
with charles in his rookie season, many interviewers were trying to get his input on it. he searched the faces for that one (y/h/c) but proceeded to answer questions while walking.
as he started to leave the group, he had the urge to turn around. and when he did, he was met with those (y/e/c) and nostalgia.
the interviewers started to disperse, getting in his line of vision for a moment before they were focues on her.
this was his second shot and he was not going to waste it.

Daniel Ricciardo: Castles Crumbling
Revisionism and recency bias are perhaps two of the most common things that you'll see in Formula 1 and discussions of how we view drivers. It all goes back to the saying "You're only as good as your last race." This, while true in some sense, is only part of the picture when it comes to a driver and the legacy they'll leave in the sport. One race does not define a driver, just as a small portion of a driver's career does not define the driver.
But in commentary and fan discussions, we continue to see that revisionism and recency bias continue to define driver's careers on everchanging standards.
This season, the argument would be that that Carlos Sainz is a better driver than Charles Leclerc due to any of the following reasons:
He's won a race this year
Ahead in the points
Consistently finishing races in the points
But looking at their careers as a whole, the argument falls apart.
Another case of this is Lewis Hamilton in 2022. He finished behind his teammate in the points, didn't win a race, etc. And that year alone had people questioning if Lewis Hamilton was washed or if he should retire. But again, looking at the career as a whole and not zeroing in on one piece of it, makes the argument fall apart.
A driver's legacy isn't based solely on a piece of their career. Alex Albon's career isn't going to be defined just by the Red Bull years, nor is Pierre Gasly's. Sebastian Vettel's career isn't just defined by his time in Ferrari or Red Bull or Aston Martin. Nor is Carlos Sainz's career going to be defined by his time in one team.
However, when it comes to Daniel Ricciardo, the revisionism and hate is strong. Especially in fan spaces like Twitter.
The two years at McLaren are by many considered to be a definer of Daniel's career, completely ignoring or disregarding what he was able to do in Red Bull and Renault.
In one instance he's a PR merchant, in another he can't draw a crowd.
He gets the car to Q3, qualifies 4th, and spends the whole weekend in 10th -> well then people will say it's the car.
Both he and his teammate don't make it out of Q1 with about .006 separating them -> well then obviously the driver and not the car on that specific track
Castles Crumbling is a song that inherently fits the change in the narrative around Daniel. The premise of Castles Crumbling is your legacy falling apart and no longer being loved by people who were once fans. This is a defining feature of Daniel Ricciardo's public perception in recent years as everything he does is defined by the McLaren stint.
Once, I had an empire in a golden age
I was held up so high, I used to be great
They used to cheer when they saw my face
Now, I fear I have fallen from grace
Once, I was the great hope for a dynasty
Crowds would hang on my words, and they trusted me
Their faith was strong, but I pushed it too far
I held that grudge 'til it tore me apart
Despite what people perpetuate now, coming into McLaren, Daniel was highly regarded and considered a great driver. He was THAT guy.
Netflix's Drive to Survive did a lot in helping Daniel transcend from the normal bounds of an F1 driver. He was the first one to be fully on board and give them so much access to him, his thoughts, and his life. A move that wasn't reciprocated by other drivers, so in that first season, it was all about him from start to end basically. He also had the personality to match.
But even before that, Daniel has been the the guy. Just look at any number of grown men that have taken his sweaty race boots and drunk champagne out of them.
Gerard Butler (USA 2016)
Christian Horner (Malaysia 2016)
Max Verstappen (Malaysia 2016)
Nico Rosberg (Malaysia 2016)
Mark Webber (Germany 2016)
Lance Stroll (Baku 2017)
Sir Patrick Stewart (Canada 2017)
Martin Brundle (Austria 2017)
Adrian Newey (Monaco 2018)
Lewis Hamilton (Imola 2020)
Zak Brown (Monza 2021)
Lando Norris (Monza 2021)
Any number of Red Bull staff over the years
People all around the paddock
Some happily, some with pure disgust, others taking the shoes right off Daniel's feet for a shoey.
Daniel at Silverstone in 2017: "DC took my shoes off and then in Austria, Martin was frothing for it."
Daniel wasn't just his personality as so many would like to say. The racing was there.
In 2014, Daniel came into Red Bull and beat his four-time world champion teammate. He was Red Bull's only race winner that year with three wins. During his first year with Red Bull, Daniel finished third in the championship, just behind the two Mercedes.
Once more in 2016, Daniel finished third in the championship, just behind the two Mercedes. His only win of the year was Malaysia 2016 and with it came the iconic podium of Daniel, Max, Nico, and Christian all taking turns to drink out of the same race shoe.
Nico Rosberg in 2023, talked about his time racing against Daniel in 2016 and said:
"He's such an awesome personality, one of the best wheel-to-wheel racers out there. If I saw in my rear-view mirrors, [Ricciardo] was one of the last guys I would like to see there at the time, with Max Verstappen."
2018 for Daniel was filled with reliability issues and engine problems. Out of the 21 races that year, Daniel retired in 8 of them. He had two wins that year - China and Monaco.
Going into Renault, Formula 1 World Champion and Renault Advisor, Alain Prost, called Daniel worth every penny that the Renault would be paying him
"Daniel is more expensive than other drivers. When you need that to help the team we did it. Money is not a problem but it has to be justified. We have two top drivers, maybe one of the best lineups in F1 today."
With Renault, people forget that 2020 was one of his best years. While he didn't win any races, Daniel did have two podiums. He gave Renault their first podium in about nine years. Additionally, Daniel finished 5th in the championship, higher than anyone would have expected out of the unreliable Renault. He was doing wonders with that car.
Going into McLaren, Daniel was a highly valued asset. And while many like to say he went to McLaren for the money, salary estimates show that going to McLaren was actually a significant pay cut.
Tumblr media
With an approximately $22 million pay cut in cash earnings, the move to McLaren cannot be defined as a cash grab. Doing something for the money doesn't usually mean lowering your value by millions.
My foes and friends watch my reign end
I don't know how it could've ended this way
Smoke billows from my ships in the harbor
People look at me like I'm a monster
Now they're screaming at the palace front gates, used to chant my name
Now they're screaming that they hate me
Never wanted you to hate me
So how did we get from being a highly valued driver to endless public hate by fans?
Well revisionism and recency bias.
Daniel’s time with McLaren was admittedly very bad.
(sidenote: Dropping Daniel was the best thing that McLaren could have done for all parties involved. No one can deny that, but how McLaren and Zak Brown conducted themselves was wrong. Say what you will about Red Bull's ruthlessness; Red Bull is upfront about it, and they don't drag the driver around making apologies or videos promising to try harder and signing another driver while doing all that.)
The car and driver did not mesh. But what most people tend to ignore is that the car design was inherently difficult to drive. It was unpredictable. One could argue that Lando was performing well in the car., but Lando has only driven a McLaren. Whereas Daniel's driven an HRT, Toro Rosso, Red Bull, and a Renault. Instead of helping Daniel with the learning curve or setting the car up in a manner that aligned with his driving style, Daniel had to change how he drove.
With all the McLaren struggles, people have chosen to focus on just that phase. Completely ignoring that Daniel was doing wonders with the Red Bull when the car wasn't great and he was doing wonders with the Renault.
Daniel's time post-Red Bull was not all bad and certainly not deserving of the vitriol and hate he receives when there are other drivers who have much less to show for on the grid.
He got two podiums with Renault in 2020 -- the first podiums that Renault had gotten in years. He was 5th in the standings.
And let's not forget that Daniel got McLaren its only win since 2012. Maybe you can say that the only reason Daniel won is due to the Max and Lewis crash or that Lando was told to stay behind. However, Daniel overtook Max at the start while Lando lost a position to Lewis. Daniel had been the one to take his shot when it mattered. As for the team orders to hold position, well Daniel could have gone faster if he wanted to as we can see with him pulling out the fastest lap on the final lap.
(A random thought that came to me during the research for this: do we think Christian Horner wants a Daniel-related tattoo as well and hates that Cyril and Zak have Daniel-related tattoos? Because if I was in Christian's position, I would want that tattoo. Like you put all this time and investment into a driver and then two other team principals that either took him away from you or couldn't get the most out of him have tattoos chosen by Daniel.)

explaining f1: circuit de monaco
❤️ 🤍
Tumblr media
stats
the circuit de monaco has a circuit length of 3.337km, with 78 laps being held, it is the only circuit on the calendar that doesn't run a 305km distance (instead being 260.286). this is due to a combination of its low speed laps, high concentration requirements and the regular intervention of a safety car.
lewis hamilton holds the current lap record, at 1:12.909, with senna holding the record for the most wins at monaco.
2023
last year, it was verstappen who came first, with alonso and ocon rounding out the podium.
charles leclerc
monaco is charles' home race, with him being the first monegasque driver to compete at the race since olivier beretta in 1994. his poor performances at this track has led some to dub him as cursed.
it began in f2 in 2017, despite qualifying pole, he as forced to retire due to suspension issues. he also dnf'ed the sprint due to electrical issues.
in his first f1 season at sauber in 2018, he qualified 14th, but, due to a break issue, crashed into torro rosso's brendon hartley, ending both their races.
in 2019, the issue's began in qualifying. despite being told by the team he was safe for q2, as other drivers did more laps, he was knocked out, qualifying 16th. during the race, the renault of nico hulkenberg squeezed charles into the wall, causing a puncture and ending his race.
in 2021, charles qualified on pole but crashed during the session, with issues so severe the he could not start the race.
in a particularly famous ferrari fumble, in 2022, charles qualified on pole and built up a five second lead. charles had already pit for inters, leading his teammate carlos sainz leading the race. ferrari mistakenly call carlos and charles in for slicks at the same time, with charles falling to 4th. this is the occurrence of the radio "box, now box.. stay out! stay out!" from xavi (his race engineer at the time).
the curse isn't limited to f1 though, with charles driving niki lauda's 1974 ferrari into the barriers at the 2022 historic monaco grand prix.
2023 saw a vague improvement, charles qualified 3rd but gained a 3-place grid penalty for impeding mclaren's lando norris in q3. he started and finished the race 6th, but in what was a chaotic race, this wasn't bad.
charles has never finished on the podium in monaco, is this going to change?

[GP3 & F2 LIVE]
-George mentioned he loves Montoya for his aggressiveness (also said he admires Verstappen for the same reason and his overtaking, in another interview as well), Hamilton for his strength in pace. But overall, he picks Schumacher as his all time favorite. He said it's a difficult pick!
-Because George has only previously driven the night race thrice (Bahrain, AD quali, AD race), he actually makes a gamble of undercutting De Vries during AD18 to try and take the lead back. No one had any clear idea of how long the tyres were going to last and he managed it! He compromised a bit by managing the tyres when he could've pulled a +10s gap but with the risk of the tyres being gone due to how the Abu Dhabi circuit is
-The press commented on how George had a really good attitude and they're excited to see how he goes in the future
-George names Maggots and Becketts (Silverstone) as his favorite corner. But also mentions Parabolica (Monza) as one of the greatest ones.
-George Russell said he won't participate in the 2017 Macau GP because he'd have to seal his championship win before the final in Abu Dhabi and he's not sure if he can do that. Later, He did win it before Abu Dhabi and had the chance to participate in the 2017 Macau GP but by Jerez, he was sick with ear infection and even then, he had to drive while being sick in Jerez. So, no Macau GP 2.0 in the end for him
-George's favorite race track in the GP3 calendar is Silverstone because that's where he got his first F1 test and it's his home race but his favorite race track in the world is Macau because it's one of a kind street circuit, "nothing can ever come close to it"
-F2 Era George drives a Mercedes A200. He also would like to drive Senna to Mansell, early 90s Williams F1 car if he had the chance!
-On other interviews, George mentioned liking Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United but he didn't in this specific interview. George mentions football player Ronaldinho as his favorite player in the past though!
-George asked for the press to include Alex Albon in the championship photoshoot of him and Lando at Sochi 2018. He also kept reminding the press of Alex's achievement throughout the 2018 F2 season and also talks about his rivalry/friendship with Alex.
-George's lows on F2 season was Baku FR, when Nyck De Vries locked up and crashed to George who was in the lead, causing George to drop down to P12. Although everyone backs him, he felt like he could do something or compromise a bit to minimize the accident that day. While his overall lows is the Monaco GP where he had engine failure during the practice, qualifies P16 and +1s from pole, and DNF-ed in both races. He also mentions Baku SR as his memorable race as he managed to fight to P1 from his initial P12 starting position.
-Other than not participating again at Macau GP, George also opted out from Race of Champions because he didn't want to risk sustaining any serious injury that might have an impact on his upcoming racing schedules.
-George mentions about being interested in oval track racing after watching Fernando Alonso in Indy500 and that he'll be interested to try that out in the future
-George did not play F1 2016 or other racing related games due to his busy schedule with being the sim driver. He mentions he plays the "upgraded version" of it with the Mercedes F1 Simulator instead.
-A fan asked about how the sim works had helped him in GP3 races and George said the sim works did not help him much for race prep as the set up for the simulator is for an F1 car while he drives a GP3 cars but it gives him more laps and experience under his belt on different circuits.
-The celebratory chocolate brownie that he ate after Austria 2017 (the one where he took a pic with Valtteri) did not taste that good. He flew back with the Mercedes team and they offered everyone champagne or chocolate brownies. George had to opt for the brownies.
-George was asked by a fan about his opinion on what Liberty Media is doing in F1 😭😭 He responds to it maturely with saying that Liberty Media aims to have more publicity for the Formula One by having more coverage of the sport and he respects that they are trying to do so as well with the feeder series. He said he looks forward to what they'll do in the future.
-Another fan asked him about the Mercedes powertrain plan (as well as Mercedes' GT3 powertrain plans 😭😭). Again, he answers it maturely by saying the fan should ask Mercedes that as George didn't have much knowledge about it.

So, in the aftermath of yesterday, I thought it might be useful to make a little list of moments where Max behaved (in my opinion) in an unsportsmanlike way. Upon giving this a read, it should be quite obvious that Max behaves aggressively to almost everyone on the grid and that he was beyond lucky in 2021 to not get penalized like he had before then for similar incidents. Furthermore, if you're the type of person to write a post wishing for more incidents with max and other drivers as "karma" for 2021, kindly fuck off, as this list should show that max doesn't give a shit who he hits and for what position.
Mexico 2016 (Passes Vettel off-track and refuses to give the position back, earns a five-second penalty)
Hungary 2017 (Hits his teammate Ricciardo and causes him to DNF)
Mexico 2017 (Makes contact with Vettel and Hamilton, causing both to have to pit on the first lap. Max wins the race).
Bahrain 2018 (Hits Lewis, giving himself a puncture)
China 2018 (Hits Vettel and earns a 10-second penalty)
Baku 2018 (Collision with Ricciardo in an attempt to defend his position causing both to DNF)
Spain 2018 (Contact with Stroll at the end of a VSC period)
Monza 2018 (Defends aggressively from Bottas and forces him off the track, earning a 5 second penalty. Continues to refuse to let Bottas by and ends losing an additional position to Vettel because of his stubbornness).
Brazil 2018 (Has an accident with Esteban Ocon and then physically pushes him after the race)
Monaco 2019 (Makes contact with Bottas in the pits, forcing him to pit again and lose position. Makes contact with Lewis late during the race but both remain unscathed)
Austria 2019 (Forces Charles Leclerc off the track in the final laps of the race in a move that is identical to ones penalized in 2021 and onward; is never given a penalty and wins the race)
Mexico 2019 (Makes contact with Lewis at the start of the race, then hits Bottas a few laps later and gets a puncture)
Imola 2021 (Forces Lewis off the track to avoid contact at the start and goes on to win the race)
Monza 2021 (After an long pitstop, comes out right behind Lewis and attempts a move into Turn 1 that would never have succeeded. He bounces over the curbs and lands on top of Lewis' car, causing both to DNF. He immediately goes on the radio to say "that's what you get when you don't leave the space" and is handed a grid penalty. He never serves the penalty, however, as he takes a new engine for the following grand prix in Russia anyway)
Brazil 2021 (He is leading the race when Lewis attempts to pass, pushes him off the track so much they both go off in Lewis' attempt to avoid contact. This is not penalized due to claims that the "onboard footage" was missing and despite the missing footage being reviewed later that week, no penalty is ever given)
Abu Dhabi 2021 (Need I say more).
Brazil 2022 (Collides with Lewis, which damages his own car. Later in the race, he refuses to swap places with Perez for important championship points for his teammate, despite already being world champion at that point)
Singapore 2023 (He impedes Yuki during qualifying and is also stationary in the pit lane, both actions that normally incur penalties. He does not receive any penalty, a decision even the stewards later admit is a "mistake")
Austria 2024 (Defends aggressively from Lando, including moving under-breaking which should incur a penalty as an illegal move. When Lando attempts a move around the outside, he hits him twice and forces both cars off track and for both to have a puncture, with the damage on Lando's car being so great he DNF's).
I'm sure there's moments I'm missing but this is to serve as an illuminating example to those whose knowledge of F1 is more limited and haven't seen races pre-2022.

Is max a good qualifier in ur opinion ?
Max a very good qualifier. In wet to mixed conditions to ME max is the best qualifier on the grid rn period. The only time he lost to a teammate h2h was 2016, his 2nd year in f1 , first in rbr, against danny ric, which yk considering it wasnt even technically a full season and he did so by a margin of .100 I find pretty acceptable. Danny ric the closest anybody ever got to extract Max’s one lap performance from the same car wid Carlos failing to hold advantage for their full joint stint in Toro Rosso ((2015 Malaysia gp still one of the most representative verstappie rewatch moments‼️)) Obvi since 2017 bro been a mission to ruin peoples lives. Quali trim kinda always tends to highlight the deficit between 2 drivers in equal machinery because it IS a lot more about confidence than it is about ‘consistency’ and Max has a near earth shattering self belief that’s proving itself impossible to match in this lifetime. Also Monaco this year prolly one of the most insane efforts from a driver like ever so like yuh pretty fucking good qualifier lmfao
Some h2h stats under the cut for reference:

*ੈ✩‧₊˚ F1 DR INTRO
important info: in this dr i am 17. it is the 2018 f1 season and i am racing alongside lewis hamilton for the mercedes-amg petronas f1 team. it is my first year in f1.
what is my racing history? i have been karting ever since i was 7 years old (2008). i started with regional championships and won before winning nationally. i won some championships internationally as well. i didn't have a lot of money but my parents helped me to achieve my dreams, especially since i was really good at it. i began racing around the world with ricky flynn motorsports. i won multiple WSK world and european series. i raced in these circuits until 2015 when i won the CIK-FIA Euro championship and 2016 when i won the CIK-FIA world championship with Birel ART Racing. i was hired by prema racing to drive as an f2 driver in 2017, and became world champion by the end of the season. after this i was hired by mercedes on a lucrative, one-year contract.
who are my friends? my closest friend is my best friend charles leclerc, who was my teammate at prema. me and him had a title fight in 2017. i am very close with his family <3 love them dearly. i am also close with his brother arthur! we met through charles and karting. my other closest friend is logan sargeant. he has been my best friend for years. we grew up karting together since my first year and remained super close as we both started karting in europe. i also competed against oscar piastri for a while and he is a good friend of me and logan. i am also friends with lewis hamilton as he is my teammate at mercedes. i am acquanited and friendly with max verstappen as we raced against each other in karting quite a few times. i know a lot of the other f1 racers from karting actually (:
any romantic relationships? no! i don't have any current romantic relationships.
what is currently happening? i had been getting podium since the start of the season, breaking multiple records not only as a woman but as the youngest f1 driver. however, at the canada grand prix, i won with a grand slam (fastest lap, pole position, first place). i also won in france and austria. i am doing extremely well!
any current conflicts? yes. multiple. mercedes has not been a good working environment. lewis is great, but i am not taken very seriously in the garage. i am also told not to overtake lewis even when i have openings and the next driver is multiple seconds behind. i have recently taken to ignoring these orders because they're stupid which has caused a lot of problems with toto wolff.
toto also ignored my complaints during monaco. i told him i had very little control over the car and something was off during qualifying, but he didn't listen and i had to drive at the race with little control over the car. it cost me a podium and i got p4. he also yelled at me after i won in canada because it was at the price of lewis getting p2, which is awful! but i am looking into new potential contracts for 2019 (redbull is looking promising if daniel leaves, which he will).
i am also nervous for my 10th race of the season which is silverstone, because i crashed there (not my fault at all) during my 2017 season in f2. it was pretty bad. the car exploded with me inside and i was concussed, but not majorly injured. charles also crashed a bit further ahead and ran to help me get out. however, i think this next race will be fine.
if you have any questions about this dr please feel free to ask. even though the circumstances have been a bit iffy right now, i really like all of the people and have been enjoying the racing so i'll be sharing plenty of stories!

Idkiwp with Nico R who after winning F1 and leaving the F1 pack, slept around with a lot of alphas because he felt so lonely and didn't know how to deal with all of his feelings. Fast forward to the Monaco GP 2017 and Nico was planning on leaving but for some reason couldn't do it and he let's himself be a guest a Mercedes for the weekend and all the mechanics are so happy to see him again but Lewis completely blanks him and Jenson is so busy that he barely gets to say hello before he's being pulled away and so Nico feels even worse and his stomach is hurting and he just wants to go home and ends up crying in the bathroom during Qualifying and then his waters break and Nico is just in shock because he can't be pregnant!
Plss poor nico not knowing how to be close to the pack after he leaves and the only.thing he can think of is sleeping with some of the Alphas....
It's nice but it also isn't what he needs and he just feels so alone and vulnerable which makes him further pull away from everyone.
Nico being Merc's guest and the team is happy to see him, and Toto hugs him tight for a moment but Lewis won't look in his direction and Nico really wants to see Jenson snf talk to him but the Alpha only has time to wave at him from a distance and Nico just never felt more alone...
Nico crying in the bathroom when the contractions start and he is so scared and confused and manages to crawl into Toto's office which feels safer, making a little nest behind the desk as best he can before the pain takes over. Poor Nico is all alone because the race is happening and the sounds of the cars drown out his cries. Toto finds him after the race, tired and weak and with a little pup resting on his chest, and in desperate need of medical attention.
The pup's dad being Jenson? Which becomes clear when Nico is resting in the hospital room but wakes up whimpering and whining the second he smells his pup's sire, tense because he thinks maybe Jenson will be upset...

Jonathan Palmer: Doctor Driver Deal-maker | F1 Beyond The Grid Podcast
He didn’t come from a racing family. He followed in the footsteps of his father and qualified as a doctor. How Jonathan Palmer ended up driving in Formula 1 is an intriguing tale of passion for racing, intuition and plenty of graft. Palmer initially competed in Formula Ford but after qualifying as a doctor, he decided to focus on racing professionally. He became British Formula 3 champion in 1981 and European Formula 3 champion in 1983. That year, Williams gave him his F1 debut at the European Grand Prix. He would go on to race for RAM, Zakspeed and Tyrrell over the next six years – scoring 14 championship points along the way. Palmer takes Tom Clarkson through his unique journey from studying medicine to competing in Formula 1. He reflects on some memorable drives in Monaco and we hear wonderful insight into what it was like working with Ayrton Senna as a test driver for McLaren in 1990. Palmer, whose son Jolyon also raced in F1 for Renault in 2016 and 2017, became part of the BBC’s Formula 1 coverage after retiring. He recalls working the day Senna lost his life at Imola in May 1994. The negative comments in the media only grew as Schumacher proved unable to score points in the first nine races, leading many to wonder if he would be dropped by the team. That led to public criticism from team boss Guenther Steiner. While Mazepin's successor Kevin Magnussen finished in the top ten in his first two races back at Haas in the much-improved VF-22, Schumacher suffered major high profile crashes in Saudi Arabia and Monaco. Schumacher himself made his debut with Haas at the beginning of the 2021 season, but an uncompetitive car meant that neither he nor his fellow rookie team mate Nikita Mazepin scored any points all year.

monaco a track known for its limited overtakes and those who qualified in the top 3 to be pretty much guaranteed the podium spots, where u have to go all the way back to 1996 for a driver to finish on the top step who qualified outside of the top 3
ferrari who have a monegasque driver who has never finished his home race before this weekend and would’ve been the first monegasque driver to win the monaco gp in a championship year, and the second driver overall
ferrari who have a team principle talking about the importance of the drivers championship points n having full confidence that charles will get points when necessary only to change his narrative and focus more on his other driver missing out on a win n important points in the constructors n saying how that is more important
charles leclerc who was on form all weekend, fastest in each qualifying session and in both fp1 and fp2 and who was in the lead by quite some margin until the pitstop drama who had a win n valuable points in the championship thrown away all because of the ferrari strategists crumbling
this is why charles fans are mad, this is why charles fans are annoyed at ferrari no other reason
i mean we have so many people say how talented charles is, seb who raced against some of the greats in f1 saying charles is the most talented, lewis who is the goat of f1 saying how talented charles is, commentators, former drivers, everyone’s nan, brother, sister, dog, uncle u name it they all say how talented charles is
we saw it with seb in 2017 and 2018 how the championship was thrown away because of strategical mistakes, yes seb made some mistakes but not as many as ferrari did
this team needs to be better at strategies bc they will suffer the exact same fate they did with seb in 17 n 18

Someone was on Mastermind with the specialist subject of F1 from 2010 to present, and I’m almost ashamed to say that I got more questions correct.
Have a go at answering them, I’ve put the answers in the replies
What is the name of the cockpit protection device, introduced in 2018?
Which team was fined $100,000 for sending the message “Fernando is faster than you”?
What is the name of the FIA doctor who helped Romain Grosjean escape his wreck in Bahrain 2020?
Jenson Button made a one off return to F1 at Monaco in 2017, replacing Fernando Alonso who was competing in what other race?
The team that was established in 2010 as Virgin Racing and then was renamed Marussia, was known by what name in 2016?
What was the name of Sebastian Vettel’s race engineer (at Red Bull) who was nicknamed Rocky?
What is the nationality of Esteban Ocon?
At which 2018 race did Lewis Hamilton qualifying pole position, say that he felt he had done “the most complete lap” he’d ever done?
Which British driver was classified as finishing all races in his debut season in 2013 with the Marussia team, despite scoring 0 points?
Who won their first race at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, at his 190th attempt?
What name, derived from the stream beneath it, is given to the notorious turn 2 at Spa-Francorchamps?
Which fellow Brazilian did Bruno Senna replace at Williams in 2012?
In 2020 Red Bull won the fastest pit stop award in all but 2 races, they were beaten by Williams in Belgium, but who were they beaten by in Monza?
At the Hungaroring in 2011, which German driver escaped his burning car as it left the pits?

Hellooo would u happen to know why a lot of people don’t like the french gp track? Thanks!
Hey!
We've only had two French GPs on the Paul Ricard track so far in the current F1 era, but a lot of people are already fed up with it as both the races so far (in 2018 and 2019) were deemed "boring."
Here's the qualifying top 4 in 2019: 1. Lewis Hamilton 2. Valtteri Bottas 3. Charles Leclerc 4. Max Verstappen And here's the top 4 at the end of the race that same year: 1. Lewis Hamilton 2. Valtteri Bottas 3. Charles Leclerc 4. Max Verstappen Additionally, the track characteristics add fuel to the fire. It's very wide and has a lot of run-off area, which makes it a lot more forgiving than a track like Monaco or Baku where, if you make a mistake, you might end up in the barrier. Or even Imola or any other track where there's a gravel trap. So I think some fans are just annoyed that there's a lack of consequence for driver mistakes (aside from I guess potential penalties for violating track limits or something.) Also, the stripe design of the run-off area can be quite an eyesore, lmao. In my mind Paul Ricard goes hand in hand with Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin. It's just so wide (and has a similar colour scheme) almost to the point where it looks like it's a Mario Kart track or something asdjfgk But I think Austin's saving grace has been the fact that it's provided more exciting racing than the French GP (so far.)
That being said, many branded Baku a waste of time and money basically after the 2016 inaugural Grand Prix at the street circuit was kind of an uneventful procession. And then 2017 happened. And 2018. And 2019. And 2021. And now people are generally fond of Baku because it's tough, it's tight, and it yields unexpected pole sitters/winners/podium finishers. Apparently they're tweaking the circuit slightly ahead of this year's race, but whether that will improve the racing and make it more exciting for fans, I don't know.
Hope that helps! <3

Jenson Button Returning to Silverton to Race
2009 Formula 1 World Champion, Jenson Button will make his McLaren Customer Racing 720S GT3 debut in the Silverstone 500 race this weekend, November 7/8 – three years after he last competed in a McLaren, at the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix. The 15-time Grand Prix winner headlines a record entry for McLaren in the British GT Championship.
Button, who drove for McLaren in Formula 1 for seven seasons, will take part in the three-hour race alongside his Customer Racing Team Jenson Team Rocket RJN co-owner, Chis Buncombe, at the home of the British Grand Prix. His first appearance in a McLaren GT3 car comes as several McLaren Customer Racing Teams line up with hopes of title successes in the final round of the 2020 British GT season – including the race-winning Jenson Team Rocket RJN crew of McLaren Professional Driver Michael O’Brien and World’s Fastest Gamer James Baldwin, who are in contention for the overall GT3 Drivers’ Championship.
“This will be my first taste of a GT3 car but I’m really looking forward it.  It will be lovely to join our team and lining-up in the McLaren 720S with my best buddy Chris Buncombe.  It’s great to come back and race on UK soil again and a big thank you to our partners that have made this possible. It’s a shame that this final round of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship will take place without fans present, but I hope they will tune in to follow our progress!” Jenson Button
Covid-19 restrictions mean that the event will take place behind closed doors, however the race will be broadcast live on the Sky F1 channel - for which Jenson provides expert insight - as well as British GT’s live-streaming channels.
In addition to Jenson Team Rocket RJN’s title ambitions, several McLaren Customer Racing Teams are in contention for silverware this weekend, with nine GT3 entries making this the biggest McLaren entry in the series since the 720GT3 made its championship debut last year:
2 Seas Motorsport will be aiming to end the season as the top McLaren Customer Racing Team, holding a 3.5-point advantage over Jenson Team Rocket RJN. Their three-pronged attack features GT3 Silver Cup title contenders Jack Mitchell and Jordan Witt, as well as Angus Fender and Dean Macdonald, plus Al Faisal Al Zubair and McLaren Professional Driver Martin Kodric.
Optimum Motorsport fields McLaren Professional Driver Ollie Wilkinson and McLaren Academy Driver Lewis Proctor, Brendan Iribe and Ollie Millroy, plus Mark Crader and Alex Mortimer.
Balfe Motorsport – which gave the 720S GT3 its British GT debut last year - returns to GT3 action with Shaun Balfe and McLaren Factory Driver Rob Bell.
In addition to the GT3 championship challenge, McLaren Customer Racing Teams are in contention for GT4 class honors with five 570S GT4 entered for Silverstone:
HHC Motorsport’s crew of McLaren Academy Driver Jordan Collard and co-driver Patrick Matthiesen are currently just 2.5-points behind the leader in the GT4 standings and are also in contention for the GT4 Silver Cup title. Gus Bowers and Chris Wesemael will be helping HHC to claim the GT4 Teams’ Championship.
Balfe Motorsport’s McLaren Factory Driver Euan Hankey and double Pure McLaren champion Mia Flewitt will be crowned GT4 Pro-Am champions, having secured the title prior to this weekend. Also representing Balfe Motorsport in GT4 will be Jan Klingelnberg and Warren Hughes, plus Lars Dahmann and Charlie Hollings.
Qualifying for this weekend’s final round of the British GT Championship at Silverstone is scheduled to take place at 15:00 on Saturday, with the three-hour race starting at 12:50 on Sunday. Live coverage will be available to watch on British GT’s website and SRO’s GT World Youtube channel, whilst Sky F1 will also be broadcasting the race live from 12:45 on Sunday.
