I found those pics and nearly lost myself in nostalgia. I really like Final Fantasy series (well, not all of them, for I haven't actually played all of them) and it's just a shame that Final Fantasy II is... pretty much underestimated. Still love it wholeheartedly, even though my latest cosplay plans are not even close to this fandom.

Dissidia AU idea

(I freely acknowledge that this is technically a spoiler for something I'm writing, but it'll probably take me ages to get to that point at my current rate, so here)

Final Fantasy Memory of Heroes implies that the Warriors of Light reincarnate or otherwise are connected through the crystals. Due to the adaptation, FF2 and 3's parties are implicitly connected, but one could extend this to other games.

The FF1 Souls of Chaos Campaign involves fighting bosses from other FF games.

So my idea, inspired by Stranger of Paradise and Memory of Heroes is that Garland and Setro become the new gods of discord and harmony respectively (whether it be of World B or some other world is up to you): Garland absorbing the four guardians of the crystals (i.e. the Four Fiends) while Setro's allies sacrifice their physical forms to empower him (much like how their crystals' light empowered him at the climax of the adaptation). The two use their respective sources - Garland and the Dark Crystal, Setro and a Light Crystal - to create manikins imbued with the memories of their respective connections. Setro recreates his party as well as Firion's, Luneth's etc. Garland recreates the Fiends, The Emperor and the archdemons, Xande and the Dark Crystal bosses (maybe CoD too?), etc.

Shenanigans (and angst, and otherwise chaos) ensues.

more in lewd news for shinon/janaff i tried to write a motivation chapter 2 but i never could decide on what shinon was going to do. i had a couple ideas, like shinon and janaff meeting up and fucking or continuing their parasocial relationship. in my latest drafts of it shinon was going to doxx janaff and say the most egregious sort of stuff before going back to his NEET ways (now without a purpose because janaff would be disinterested) but i couldn't make it as sexy as the first chapter so i just didn't finish it

nordion vampireverse multichap fic titled "diarmuid chomps" where it's not actually about diarmuid at all and febail gets really sexy and saves y/n from the evil vampires... i wrote that fic twice but neither are any good. idea for another time

Final Fantasy XIV: The other Answer

Spoilers for everything from ARR up to endwalker.

So my brain was spitballing with a what if/AU idea I wanted to share and its real estate.

Bare bones premise: What if Hythlodaeus agreed to take up the seat of Emet-Selch Instead of Hades? During the final days Emet Selch begs and pleads with their best friend Azem to remain with the Convocation of Fourteen, Azem buckles and agrees reluctantly.

Surviving the attack of Hydaelyn, Emet-Selch, Azem, Lahabrea and Elidibus are left as the sole unsundered. Feeling angry and betrayed by their mentor Venat, Azem the traveler fully commits themselves to the Ascians cause.

It is now the Seventh Umbral Era as the ruthless Palamecian Empire sets their sights upon Eorzea. The reincarnated soul of Hades is, awoken to the power of the echo by Hydaelyn as the scions of the seventh Dawn seek them out but will the dour and complaintive warrior of light butt heads with their new allies?

So ideas.

-Hythlodaeus holds the sea of Emet-Selch, Azem the traveller is a member of the ascians and Hades is reincarnated as the warrior of light.

-The Palamecian Empire exists instead of Garlemald in this timeline and maybe like FF2 they have something like the Dreadnought, unknown if an ascian is behind the empire like in the main universe.

-Something like the Allagan Empire may have existed but it would have been a completely different power.

-Final days still played out the same way but maybe some changes due to the endwalker time travel mess in this universe.

-Instead of the 13th the first botched rejoining was the fire shard in this universe which is reduced to something like hell with the people corrupted by fire aether.

-The Traveller could be a Loki type figure within the Ascians ranks.

-Hades WOL like his canon counterpart has a similar personality minus the weight the prime one had to carry.

-Lahabrea is a bit more level headed in this universe having not abused body jumping as much.
