“How was the meeting?”

Sans sighed at the door, dressed to the nines in his royal guard outfit, carrying his work bag and a nondescript paper bag.

“OH, IT WAS NOTHING INTERESTING DARLING. JUST MORE POLICY MAKING WITH THE HUMANS. I KNOW THERE WERE REPORTERS AND WE WOULD MAKE A BRIEF TV APPEARANCE, BUT I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY WE NEEDED TO BE IN CEREMONIAL GUARD GARB. ALPHYS CERTAINLY DIDN’T ENJOY IT- BUT WHO AM I TO COMPLAIN WHEN I GET TO DRESS TO OVERKILL?”

You take one look at the well-dressed skeleton and suppress what would’ve been an embarrassing high-pitched sound. You clear your throat.

“Y-yeah, you’ve always looked your best in that thing,”

“THIS OUTFIT… ‘DOING THINGS TO YOU’ IS CERTAINLY A WELCOME ADDITION,” Sans teases, bounding towards you.

Gloved claws slowly close around your shoulder, and you try your best not to show the blush on your face- though you end up failing when the ever so romantic skeleton slow kisses you on the jaw from behind. Even worse, you shudder involuntarily, and the man has the gall to chuckle against your neck.

“Good Evening Darling. What’re You Cooking?”

You try to hide your fluster with a giggle and you try to joke, “C-can’t you see what I’m making? Steak.”

“HOW EXQUISITE. IT SMELLS DIVINE. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THE SAUCE?”

“Just trying a new recipe. I’ll tell you the secrets later,”

“KEEPING SECRETS FROM ME? I SUPPOSE WAITING IS A SHORT PRICE TO PAY,” he bluffs sighing in disappointment. “FAR IT BE FROM ME TO REFUSE SUCH A DELICIOUS MEAL, BUT I MUST ASK… ON WHAT OCCASION ARE YOU COOKING STEAK?”

Normally, you would blow a raspberry and say do I need a reason to want steak? But you’re caught off guard for a moment- did he really forget? Sans never forgets important dates.

“Wait, really?” You turn to him, “it’s… our anniversary.”

“IS THAT SO? I THOUGHT YOU HAD FORGOTTEN. YOU DIDN’T MAKE A SPECIAL BREAKFAST FOR ME THIS MORNING.”

Oh. Of course he remembered.

“What!! You left at six in the morning! Also that’s why I’m making us steak right now!” You gesture wildly at your cooking, though you’re laughing as you’re pretending to be angry.

Sans laughs along with you. “I’M ONLY TEASING YOU DARLING. I DO HAVE TO APOLOGIZE THAT I COULDN’T RESERVE THE DAY FOR JUST THE TWO OF US. UNFORTUNATELY A ‘LOVER’S ANNIVERSARY’ ISN’T A REASON I CAN USE TO ESCAPE MONSTER-HUMAN MEETINGS.”

“You should complain to Toriel!” You suggested, “besides, we’re a monster-human couple, we’re already representing monster-human relationships. Wouldn’t that be enough?”

“AND HAVE MY SKULL REMOVED FROM MY SPINE? NO THANK YOU. NOT TO WORRY HOWEVER, I AM NOW HERE TO AID IN YOUR COOKING.”

“Wh- are you saying my cooking’s bad?”

“GOOD HEAVENS, WHAT DO YOU TAKE ME FOR HUMAN? AFTER I JUST COMPLIMENTED THE SMELL TOO. CAN’T A LOVING PARTNER HELP YOU IN MAKING THE FRIES?”

You pressed your lips together. “Oh. Um. Yeah, fries sound good…”

Cooking with Sans was always nice. He liked to do it alone (a few times Papyrus tried to ‘contribute’ with his condiments got him yelled out of the kitchen), but you seem to be the exception. Eventually, you have two plates of steak, fries, and assortment of vegetables. The glaze you found online had been a success, and it made you feel like a five-star chef.

You pick up your plate and move towards the dining table, but Sans puts his hand on your shoulder.

“I HAVE A BETTER LOCATION IN MIND.” he smirks.

“Oh yeah? Where, the couch?” You tease, but Sans just shakes his head, handing you your jacket.

“TAKE THIS WITH YOU,”

“My jacket? But wh-”

In a blink, you’re no longer in the kitchen. You were on top of a building you don’t recognize with beautiful twirly railings. The full moon is high in the sky, looking down on the both of you.

“Where are-?”

The culprit chuckles, taking your plate away from your frozen hands and places them on a table decorated with a cloth. With a wave of his hand a flame appears on a candle. Seating for two, he pulls out a chair for you.

“Sans…” you say with awe, walking over to your chair like you were dreaming. “How did you…?”

“I HAD TIME AFTER OUR MEETING. THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO SEE THE NIGHT SKY IN THE CITY WITHOUT IT BEING SOME OVERCROWDED CASH-GRAB AREA. I MAY NOT HAVE RESERVED THE DAY FOR US, BUT I CAN CERTAINLY RESERVE THE NIGHT.”

He takes the nondescript bag from earlier and pulls out… a wine bottle. Cabernet Sauvignon, to be exact.

“Oh Sans… this is lovely,”

He responds by pulling the cork off, pouring you the perfect amount for swirling.

“AM I A WONDERFUL PARTNER OR NOT?” He raises his brow at you as he pours himself a glass.

“Yes, yes you are.” you roll your eyes at him, affectionately.

“AND OF COURSE YOUR COOKING IS WONDERFUL. I WAS GOING TO COOK SOMETHING MYSELF- BUT IT TURNED OUT YOU WERE ALREADY ON IT. YOU ARE MY PERFECT PARTNER, (Y/N). I LOVE YOU,”

You blush as he takes your hand in both of his and brings it to his mouth, covering your mouth while your cheeks turn red. “I love you too, Sans.”

He kisses your knuckles.

“HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, DARLING.”

I yearn for Fire Spirit yap... He's also one of my top favorites from crob and I love hearing about people's interpretations/why they like a character. °☆

I love Fire Spirit so much dude lol. Always have. Been playing Ovenbreak for almost 10 years now (whew) and he won a piece of my heart on minute one

For one, I actually really like his design. Simple and sleek. I adore that smug little smirk of his, so cute. I get annoyed when I see people say they think he looks boring, they're all entirely CRK players and thus don't have the understanding or appreciation for FS that OB players do (this is also seen with Rebel and Wind Archer. It pissed me off how harsh so many players were towards Rebel especially. He looks perfect the way he is). Thin-skinned, know-nothing 12 year olds want overdesigned Genshin Impact characters, like a lot of CRK characters ended up looking like (no shade), bc they're too dumb and immature to understand that less is often more

Second, I really enjoy his voice. His is one of the only English ones I actually like. It's perfect imo. Whenever I read through my PitayaFire fics, it's that voice that I hear when I read his lines lol. (I also love his JP and KR voices ofc. Former especially bc he shares a voice with my favorite anime character)

Third and most importantly, I genuinely love his personality. Asshole with a hidden heart of gold is how I always read him. I can't help but be charmed by his cocky, irreverent attitude. Always running his mouth, always got something to say. He's got wit. He's got a bite. He never takes anything lying down. He will roast you both figuratively and literally, and gladly regardless. But somewhere underneath that dickishness is a genuinely good guy. He's been shown to have a soft spot for children (his arc with Habanero + official artwork depicting him looking after Snow Sugar and Apple + him raising an orphaned Tiger Lily (I know that was in the hanja comics and those were never canon, but shut up. I love that part. It's incredibly sweet and adds a lot of depth to his character. FS and TL are adopted father and daughter, you'll never take that from me)). Despite appearances, he actually does work very hard to keep the Dragon's Valley alive and thriving. He cares about Pitaya Dragon and expresses worry/concern over his declining power/condition (although it's a bit more subtle here; you have to read between the lines and pay attention to his expression/sprite). He's friends with the other Elementals, particularly Wind Archer (always imagined a best bros thing with them). Some way, somehow, despite how he is, he still manages to care for others, and others care for him. When push comes to shove, he comes through. He's the kind of character whose actions prove who he REALLY is, behind his harsh words. A jerk with a good soul deep down.

Furthermore, I adore the mystery of his character. It's long since been revealed that he was not always Fire Spirit; he was a regular old mortal once, and became who he is now through a deal with Pitaya Dragon that saved him from the brink of death. Just who was he in the before time? What was his name? Did he always behave the way he does, or was he a completely different person? Does he remember his past at all? Does he care? Does he miss his old life even a little bit? Does he have any lingering questions or concerns or even regrets about the deal he struck and the life he lives now? (I know he said in one scene that he doesn't regret anything, but one really has to wonder with something of that magnitude.) If he knew what would become of him back then, would he have chosen differently? There's so much to consider, you know? It makes him extremely fascinating, more so than almost any other character in the series

And ugh... his relationship with Pitaya Dragon. God I could rant about that forEVER. There's so much interesting complexity underlining their dynamic. Forever bound, in body and spirit, to the person who saved your life... who did so not quite out of genuine altruism, but because they were so impressed and amused by his persistence in the face of certain doom (that's something else I like about him. FS never gives up. He kept fighting for his own life even as it slipped through his fingers like volcanic sand). Who essentially remade him, liberated him from his suffering and his old life and gave him a brand new identity and purpose - one that he now has no choice but to shoulder for eternity. With how old they both are, they must have such a long and storied history together. They must've said and done so much with, to, for each other during all those long years. They mean something to each other, they must, if only because of that. Again, it's been implied more than once that Fire Spirit is genuinely worried about Pitaya Dragon's well-being; some of it is probably due to them being tied together (something happens to Pitaya, something will happen to FS), yes, but what if there's more? And Pitaya Dragon likes Fire Spirit, he never would've helped him if he didn't. So much so that, in one scene, FS remarks that Pitaya didn't think anything of mortals before they met. It was FIRE SPIRIT who changed Pitaya Dragon's mind about the mortal world and its value. It was FIRE SPIRIT that got the ball rolling to where it is today: with Pitaya fostering real, lasting friendships with mortals and standing up for them when they need help. It's why I'm willing to argue that Fire Spirit is the most important person in Pitaya Dragon's life outside of the other dragons. He's the one who inspired Pitaya Dragon to change his ways, whether anyone realizes it or not. Him, NOT Hollyberry. Fire Spirit did all the work fixing that dumb dragon and it's her that gets all the credit. He was by Pitaya's side long before she was ever born. But no, it's her one-note friendly rivalry with Pitaya that gets all the praise while the far more interesting and complex relationship he has with Fire Spirit gets ignored (or worse, relegated to a bs parent/child headcanon). But that's none of my business ig

I could make a whole separate post just yapping about him with Pitaya tbh lol. It grinds my gears that they've had so little time together onscreen. (My tinfoil hat theory is that Devsis knows that it will be extremely, unequivocally gay and are trying to delay the inevitable. FOOLS!) Hopefully he actually does come out in April/May as was hinted at in leaks, and hopefully he gets time with Pitaya. I need more ship fuel.

TL;DR Snarky Fire Man is my all-time favorite Cookie Run character next to Dark Cacao. Asshole with a heart of gold + hidden layers + fascinating mysterious past + interesting relationships with other characters, primarily Pitaya. If I see anyone say he looks boring when he releases I will lose my damn mind

Unlikely, because she will be serving him A LOT in the marriage. Her daily routine will revolve all around him. In Navamsa deriving his 1st house as her 7th house which is ruled by Cancer and the lord of that house Moon goes into the derived 6th house of daily routine and service. And now, it does move 12 places away which actually means distance and far away places, but you gotta understand that the planet we're talking about is the Moon, Moon is a travelling planet. So even if he is going to be in far away places for longer periods of time let's say for touring or something of that sort, he will take her with him most of the time. Because Moon is very clingy, it needs the emotional attachment, care and nourishment. And since it's her 6th house she will serve him in that regard, she will make sure that everything he needs even for travelling is prepared and taken care of, so she will be with him most of the time when he's in far away places for his career. The 6th house is her Karmic dept towards him from a past life, she is bound to give him all this care and nourishment in this life time. And let me tell you also, he will even not be pleased if she refuses to travel with him, arguments can happen if she refuses to join him but when she will join him, everything will be better, they will get along much better and the arguments will resolve, so at one point they both will realize this that they can't be seperated when one of them has to travel, so the other has to come along. I don't know what happened in their past lives but this man will cling onto his spouse like glue. He will be obssessed with her. I can already tell this from his D1 chart. ‧₊˚✩彡 Me and my FS had/ still having a rough SR Synastry in 2023-2024, and I'm not surprised. We have Chiron conjuncting Chiron in Aries, mine conjuncting his Briede Asteroid, and his conjuncting my moon. It's in 9H for me and 11H for him, making us have fight mostly because I initiated the fight. And it shows the fight was big because I blocked him on social medias (11H) and we both went back to our country (9H).

‧₊˚✩彡 For 2024-2025, his Venus is in 5H and falling in my 3H, and how familiar is that? The year before, I had my sun in my 5H and falling in his 3H, and I said I sent him some love letters, even declared my love for him. Now, look at who will do the same that year? And it's not his sun, it's venus! So there could totally be a love declaration happening from him to me. Moreover, his pluto & mars are also in his 5H falling in my 3H, but in Aquarius, so it could mean he changed a lot, and has a lot of drive and confidence when it comes about his words. Because his Pluto conjuncts mine, he could express his feelings out of the blue, I will not be prepared at all.

Anon has a point though (before someone lynches me let me elaborate please), aside from what they pointed out he was with a girl at night back in February, and when asked about the existence of someone in his life months later what he replied was “I don’t have a gf now” + “I’m focusing on work” which could mean that at some point there was someone. Opinions on the original FS? And how do you characterize that Link(s)?

the game itself is super simple and honestly not very well-polished (see: the shrinking mechanic with the gnat hat in fs vs. with the tree stumps in minish cap. also The Lag compared to mc), but i like it anyway! it makes sense that it wasn't well-polished because it was the first zelda game for the gameboy advance, so there were bound to be hiccups. it also has one of my favorite boss battle themes—they should've used it and other songs from fs in fsa instead of reusing alttp's themes.

as for fs link, the thing about him is that there's so very little about him. out of the four heroes in the four swords timeline (minish cap link, the hero of the four sword, fs link, the hero of light), he's somehow the one with the least amount of information about him, which is nuts considering the hero of the four sword doesn't even have a game (side note: i even use my fs tag to talk about the hero of the four sword more often than i do fs link. FS LINK DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A HERO TITLE unless you count the great fairy calling him "the greatest of heroes" or something) so characterizing him can be difficult.

a few things:

he's a young boy who's princess zelda's childhood friend (fsa instruction booklet: "After that, a long time passed. Then, the wind sorcerer Vaati broke out of his prison and then snatched Princess Zelda of Hyrule. Zelda's childhood friend, a young boy named Link, claimed the strange power of the Four Sword and fought Vaati fiercely. In the end, he succeeded in sealing Vaati away once again.")

just based on the official art, it doesn't seem like his four selves don't want to kill each other as badly as fsa link's four selves do?? less murder-y and more pure competition

he's the only known case of the four sword not rejoining a link immediately after being placed back in its pedestal. it takes a minute, to the point where zelda actually comments on it. also, the four sword seemed....weirdly intelligent/sentient-ish in his hands (see: the scenes during and after vaati was re-sealed), in a way that it just didn't in mc link's hands or fsa link's hands. and of course we don't know about the hero of the four sword because he Doesn't Have A Game (despite the fact that he's mentioned everywhere from the fs manual to the fsa manga to HYRULE HISTORIA). so that's something

make of that what you will! personally i just decided to make him a knight—it would make sense for his closeness with princess zelda, like with fsa manga link, but i like to imagine he's more lower-born than fsa link is. it's fun to imagine him as overly-formal sometimes to try to compensate for that. also he's got more official art that depicts him shooting his bow than mc link or fsa link so in the name of grasping at straws i like to think he has a big fondness for archery. but there's just so little detail about him outside of "guy who came after the hero of the four sword and zelda's childhood friend who re-sealed vaati" that it's very hard to build an actual character for him.

What if the ancient ghosts rigged the Ghost King’s (initially Pariah’s, except they had to link it to his title for it to stick) summons to always have to be answered if the Ghost King was available? Not as if bound to the location, but bound to the summoning circle to listen to the summoner’s demands. The Ghost King has to at least hear the summoner out. Not accept, not dismiss—essentially he was forced to listen to the terms and conditions of a potential deal.

This was to buy them time in case someone managed to summon Pariah Dark while they were preparing to the Sarcophagus of FS.

…Too bad no one happened to mention this little tidbit to Phantom when he got the title through conquest. (Or as the heir) Since the Infinite Realms are infinite, he’s technically available to every dimension and universe.
