This news might be disappointing for SEGA fans who care about the preservation of the companies’ rich history of video games ranging from arcade to consoles, including myself and fellow SEGAbits writers. As of now, SEGA plans to delist a selection of games and bundles from virtual stores across gaming platforms including Steam, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Playstation starting on December 6th at 11:59pm PST.
If you happen to own the games on the following platforms, they will still be available in your library. You can still get them all for very good prices, so be sure not to miss out on the opportunity. Do you all think that this is a bad decision from SEGA or do you think they might have something planned for the titles down the line? Let us know in the comments below and hit the next section of the article to see the list of games that are planned to be delisted.
Here are the following games that are planned to be delisted:

The Terminator #1 by Declan Shalvey and Luke Sparrow. Cover by Shalvey. Variant covers by (2) Edwin Galmon, (3) Sway, (4) David Cousens and (5) Alex Ross. Out in October.
"The plans to kill Sarah Connor and her son John have failed, but the genocidal Skynet isn't out of options yet. There are still a few more avenues into the past that will allow it to destroy the human resistance that is poised to smash its processors into silicon shrapnel – it just needs to expand its theater of operations. Opening a new front in the war, Terminators are dispatched across the globe and throughout time to target current resistance fighters, their ancestors, and anyone else unlucky enough to be in the strike zones. And while none of these secondary assignments are as straightforward as the missions of the first T-800 and T-1000, time is literally on the machines' side. When all of history becomes a war zone, nowhere – and nowhen – is safe! Acclaimed creator DECLAN SHALVEY (ThunderCats, Old Dog) returns to the present for another blockbuster Dynamite series, joining rising star artist LUKE SPARROW (Star Trek) for all-new tales of Skynet and its nigh-unstoppable mechanical assassins – all supported by algorithmically perfect covers from SHALVEY, EDWIN GALMON, SWAY, and DAVID COUSENS!"

Sega Saturn - Fighter's History Dynamite
Title: Fighter's History Dynamite / ファイターズヒストリー・ダイナマイト
Developer/Publisher: Sega / Data East / Rutubo Games
Release date: 4 July 1997
Catalogue No.: GS-9107
Genre: 2D Fighting
One of the very first 1Meg/4Meg RAM Cartridge games in my Sega Saturn collection. Maybe not as good as Capcom's and SNK's offerings but still a nice game, nevertheless.
It has a long loading time on boot-up (involving Mizoguchi snacking) but from then on, it's pretty quick on the draw. It also has some welcome extras in the form of both the original and Neo Geo CD soundtracks, and an English mode! Yes, selecting 'Overseas' in the options menu changes the game to Karnov's Revenge and presents the entire game in English.
However, as is common with a lot of Saturn ports of fighting games, for play modes you have just Arcade and Versus, nothing fancy like Survival or the like. For contemporary home ports though, this is your best option if you're not a Neo Geo owner though the Arcade Archives digital release also exists.
I also have a spare 1Meg RAM cartridge to show you. This game is also compatible with the Sega Virtua Stick arcade controller.

"The Terminator" Gets New Comic Series
Dynamite Entertainment has announced a brand new comic book series set in The Terminator universe. The Terminator comic hails from Declan Shalvey and Luke Sparrow.
"The plans to kill Sarah Connor and her son John have failed, but that isn't going to stop the genocidal Skynet. If at first it doesn't succeed, it's going to expand the theater of operations. There are still a few more avenues into the past to try that will allow it to eliminate the human resistance before it even starts. Skynet and its Terminators are determined to stamp out these pivotal figures in history before they lead to their processors being smashed into silicon shrapnel." (Dynamite Entertainment) The Terminators are going all over the globe and throughout time tracking down current resistance fighters or their ancestors.
The Terminator #1 goes on sale on October 2024. The first issue features covers by Declan Shalvey, Edwin Galmon, Joshua "Sway" Swaby, David Cousens, and an Icon Cover featuring the artwork of Alex Ross from the "Burning Earth" storyline.

Inside My Head(canon): Gabby Jay & Glass Joe
It occurs to me that I have a history in my head for the various canon characters I mention in my stories, but I’m not necessarily putting that history out there in the stories themselves. Partly that’s because my stories don’t focus on the canon characters, but it’s also because I don’t like to include things that aren’t necessary and natural to the moment. Nothing to me is worse than for a character to say something like, “There’s Bald Bull! As you know, they call him the Turkish Mad Bull because...” No one would actually talk that way, so I don’t write that way.
That said, I thought people might wonder why Glass Joe is 0-20 and seemingly a more gutsy person in this story when he’s often portrayed as a coward or why Gabby Jay is a respected and revered figure in the WVBA despite retiring at 1-99. So, here’s my headcanon on Gabby Jay and Glass Joe
The 1984 Punch-Out!! arcade game is the basis in my story for the founding of the WVBA some 25 years ago. Glass Joe was the original lowest ranked boxer in the game, but I wanted my characters to interact with him as a fighter, so I made Gabby Jay the original lovable loser instead.
In my story, Gabby Jay still went 1-99, but he was incredibly well respected by his fellow fighters for his skill and resilience. Out of 100 fights, Gabby Jay was knocked out a mere 12 times. By WVBA standards, that’s amazing. Gabby was so technically sound that despite not having the physical gifts to excel in boxing, he was still able to hold his own with virtually anyone.
In fact, he was so loved and respected by his fellow fighters that the last fight in the original WVBA’s existence, taking place about 15 years ago, was Gabby Jay versus Kid Dynamite, our Mike Tyson stand-in, for the World Circuit Championship, which Jay lost by unanimous decision. Then, 2 years ago when the WVBA was reborn, Gabby Jay was the first fight, taking on a debuting Glass Joe. That fight was Gabby’s lone win, which he won by knockout in the third round.
Today, Gabby Jay serves as a WVBA official and is looked upon as an institution in the league. Fighters, both young and seasoned, often seek him out for advice and guidance on all aspects of the business and sport of boxing. Perhaps none more so than Glass Joe.
In three of the five Punch-Out!! video games, Glass Joe is your first opponent. With a record of 1-99, he’s the tutorial level, the lovable loser. As a result, he’s often cast as a coward and a bum. But after reading a fanfic titled “Ma Fille” by NoonboryKedabory on Archive of Our Own, my outlook on Joe’s potential as a character changed. In “Ma Fille”, Joe’s portrayed as a dedicated, honorable, and mentally, if not physically, tough man that’s willing to enter the ring time and again, knowing he’ll likely lose, for his love of the sport and to provide for his loved ones. This spoke to me.
The Glass Joe of my story, real name José Vasse, is young to his WVBA career. He grew up idolizing Gabby Jay, seeing him as the epitome of French grace and determination. Like his idol, Joe lacks some key physical gifts. Unlike Jay, the gift Joe lacks is a strong chin. However, his gift is his love and passion for the sport.
Though in his 20 fights, all losses, he’s been knocked out 18 times, Joe is actually one of the WVBA’s most skilled fighters. In touch boxing, a drill where the object is to touch a target zone on your opponent, typically the lead shoulder and/or thigh, Joe is undefeated. He doesn’t brag on this fact, being the humble gentleman he is, but it’s a known fact in the locker rooms that he had a better chin and better power, he’d be a force to be reckoned with in the ring.
It’s for this reason that Joe works with Jay, who he calls Le Maître (French for The Master). Jay was known for sharp eyes and as a quick starter in his day. Joe can pick up on his opponent’s tells and patterns, but by the time he does he’s usually looking at the lights. Joe seeks Jay’s help whenever he can to perfect his defense. His goal is not to win a championship or even have a winning record. If Glass Joe is one day looked at with the same respect as Gabby Jay, he’ll be happy with his career.
I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my headcanon and that this makes the appearances of Gabby Jay and Glass Joe, my WVBA’s French Gentlemen of the Sweet Science, a little more enjoyable and make a little more sense. Let me know what you think of my versions of these two canon characters and if you’d like to see more of my thoughts on these characters as they’ll appear in my WVBA.
