Follow @starfleet-library if you want someone who’s really making this their thing, but I’m gonna drop some trek book reviews as I read through the collection I’ve amassed and if I remember. Hopefully this will be more consistent than my Voyager episode reviews on my BlueSky lmao
Currently reading through “Typhon Pact - Zero Sun Game”. Enjoying it so far!
Spoilers ahead:
Mack brings to life a really awesome full agency realized version of Sarina Douglas, Bashir is just right for my tastes and his capacity got self reflection shows his growth in and after the series, and my girl Ezri looking adjusted to that worm at last; confident, daring, decisive, and clever, oh captain my captain how far you’ve come. And she never becomes Short Jadzia, she always feels like Ezri.
The Typhon Pact are a fascinating concept for a villain alliance in Star Trek, taking the ever popular Romulans and aligning them with a cadre of more underused antagonist races and those rogue elements that get left behind as the Federation (now with Bajor!), Klingons, Ferengi, and Cardassians become all friendly after the Dominon War. The Breen taking on industrial responsibilities in this partnership feels right for them. Thot Keer is perfectly captured as a tired foreman trying to get a job done and not giving a damn about these politics no matter how much the Romulan and Gorn representatives want to bother him. All of the worldbuilding for the Breen as well is excellently done and the idea that a multitude of species are hiding under those masks (I imagine including the alpha canon Breen from Discovery) is super interesting.
The baby Breen in a little baby helmet fucking took me out though oh my god I burst out laughing they put the Breen mask on the baby oh my god lmao.
On page 126 so we’ll see how things develop further, enjoying how this is is developing so far.
My current plan after this one is to read through the duology of Warpath and The Soul Key because Taran’atar seems like a fascinating character and I love Ro and Kira working together and I’m a big mirror universe girlie who ships Mirror Ezri/Mirror Leeta hard and likes seeing my Rebellion homies in general. I will try to forgive them for killing off the Intendant to prop up prime Illania Ghemor. Then after that either Wrath of the Prophets or the SCE reunion under the guise of a TNG novel “Indistinguishable From Magic”, a major favorite of my beloved girlfriend @laneleeta
After that probably the Cold Equations trilogy then the remaining Typhon Pact books I own. And then who knows! I’ve acquired quite a few of these now. Hope this will be fun

this is just me spitballing an idea for proggy timeline in threshold au but like what if similarly to what happens to kathryn in Protectors like philippa stows away on chakotay’s starship 🤔🤔🤔🤔
like kathryn retires from starfleet for a myriad of reasons but key in her mind being that she wants to be there for her kids while theyre still young like idk i think shed see the prodigy kids and have a thunk about it…. (dropping a stink about the lack of interaction she had with the prodigy kids during s2) like maybe she was bonding with her own kids who were becoming distant with her from her devotion to finding chakotay and all that idk
in contrast chakotay's been seemingly out of their lives for 10 years and doesnt know where he fits in, sees what kathryn's doing and maybe he gets scared that it's too late for him or something, or that he's changed and he worries it would effect the triplets to see him this way, so he runs from it. maybe likeeeee his choice to take this mission to the DQ has lingered with him all this time and that decision was to be away from them so he's kinda sticking to his guns with it. BUT ANYWAY he's not visiting and going away on missions bc it makes him sad. mix it in with he doesnt know where he stands with kathryn lol. but to loop back around like i figure theyve slept together, kathryn's pregnant but keeping it to herself for now, philippa stows away with chakotay and maybe confronts him a little bit on his behavior lol
#threshold au#i fizzled out bc i started writing this yesterday lmao#just getting my halfbaked ideas down lol#its funny for as much as i dislike about the first splinter timeline.... this one ended up so much weirder lmao#obviously she didnt go back to retirement anytime soon if we're to believe her mentionings in s3 picard :(#but maybe she never answers her phone lol

My morning serotonin destroyed...
I don’t think anyone has noted on the timing between UncleTello dying and Leo realising it
When Casey arrives it’s either right before or a little after Donnie dies, when Donnie is crawling to the mech
The turtle pile is still untouched
And when Casey races to him and takes Donnie to the future, the pile is still untouched
When Donnie dies, there are some particles which imply he’s still around
It’s only after the particles dissipate- after Donnie leaves with Casey- that Leo realises that Donnie is gone and freaks out
Which, with this context, explains why Leo is so shaken up by Donnie’s death and why he’s so filled when Donnie brings him back
The constant hum of the twin sense hes lived with all his life suddenly gone and he’s left in eerie silence
It also possibly explains why he feels turbulent when the group is sent back to the past- the silence returns and his everything is telling him he’s lost Donnie again but Donnie is with him this time, via programming shenanigans
(Also also this might add to younger leo’s anxiety)
Love everything you do, hope life’s treating you well <<333
#Very much like how there's the timelines#That are different yet connected#And all these brings so much joy just thinking about it#First time telling us that these white sparks are the ninpo#Everyone suggesting the Splinter#And then we see the Donnie trying his best to get somewhere#And then we see that he tried to tie his ghost to the robot#Just these three things that existed and were waiting for their spotlight are already breathtaking when you re-read the story

Simple Math / Part Twenty
Simple Math masterlist

Ghost/Soap/female reader 4.1k words - AO3 Tags: 18+ mdni, nurse reader, feelings of fear and panic, PTSD, references to domestic violence. Trauma, blood. Flashbacks. Dubious ethics and morality, dark content.
“Are ye comin’ inside?”
“I need a minute.” He needs more than a minute. He needs days, weeks. Needs to wind back the clock and slam it into the ground, over and over again, until the springs and hands and tiny numbers splinter into pieces.
Failure. He failed. They failed.
They failed you.
“Wait, go back.” The video pauses and rolls backward, all the way until Simon tells Kate to stop it when you step out of the elevator. “What’s in her hand?”
“Dinnae,” Johnny’s nose is practically touching the screen.
“The recording is pretty low quality; I’ve tried enhancing it with no luck.” Kate’s voice crackles through the speakers from the other side of the laptop, the other side of the world. This is the first time they’ve managed to get a hold of her in weeks, and even now, the connection is half static.
“Looks like a piece of paper, or a picture?” Johnny murmurs, leaning back.
“This is just before she bolts,” the playback continues, and they watch as you walk down the hall, bright smile fading when you reach the corner. “She’s here for a minute and then runs…” Simon is glued to the screen, forward on his haunches, and Johnny rubs his back, kneading his knuckles into that ever-present knot in his shoulder. He watches your head turn, your back stiffen, and Johnny sucks in a breath.
Kate nods the confirmation. She’s already put the puzzle together.
Graves.
You’re reacting to Graves, seeing Graves. Entire demeanor shifting, changing from their sweet, smart girl with newfound confidence, to a deer, shocked and startled, running from a scope.
Graves.
It’s simple math. Plain as day. You take one look at where he’s come around the corner, running his mouth, chewing that fucking gum, and split.
It’s Graves.
And it all makes sense.
“-you don’t know what he’s capable of. You don’t understand. He’s chased me across the world, he always finds me, no matter what, no matter what I do”
“He’s in the military. Some sort of security work, department of defense, or something. He never really talked about it.”
“He always finds me.”
“He has resources. Has followed me across the globe more than once. My only saving grace is that when he has to work, he has to work, and it’s usually for long chunks of time.”
“I’m originally from Texas.”
Texas. Texas. Texas.
There was a conversation, months ago, that slipped through Simon’s fingers. A wisp of a suspicion, one pushed away by doubt, by disbelief.
Not possible. A coincidence.
He was wrong, about being wrong. He was right, all along.
Johnny nearly flips the table before Simon urges him back down. “Where… where does she go after this?”
“She gets the car,” Simon answers, timeline clicking into place, “she borrows that gits car, comes home, packs a bag, and runs.” Johnny’s hands are shaking, fingers white against his knees.
They’ll kill him. He’ll paint the walls with Phillip’s blood. They’ll do what should have done in the first place.
He should have protected you, should have seen it all clearly. Should have applied more pressure and made you crack, if only for your own safety.
He failed.
They failed.
“That piece o’ shite, I’ll-“
“Kill him.” Simon finishes simply, and they exchange a look. A promise without words. Simon will shatter his skull between his palms if he has to.
Johnny nods. The gears are already turning. Are they so different from a man who has stopped at nothing to drag you back to him?
No.
They'd burn the world for you, to protect you, to bring you home to them.
Kate clears her throat. “There’s more.” More? “I was checking some records, looking at her last clock out, when the last paycheck was paid out and I pulled her personal information, her medical chart.” Kate’s tone is wary, hesitant, and Johnny straightens.
“What is it?” There’s a pause on the other end of the line, unsure trepidation that’s so unlike Kate the hair on the back of Simon’s neck stands up.
“Kate…”
“She’s pregnant.” You could hear a pin drop. Johnny’s rage turns to panic, and an ocean of blood rushes in Simon’s ears.
“She’s- she’s what?”
“She’s pregnant. By now, she’s probably twenty weeks, maybe? I’m not sure. I don’t know much about those things, but her chart notes say both of them are… were in good health. Low risk.”
“Twenty weeks,” Johnny echoes, faraway look in his eyes.
A baby. You’re pregnant.
Pregnant. Pregnant and alone, and scared. Running away.
From them.
Simon’s trying to wrap his head around it, but he can’t. The information doesn’t fit. It doesn’t make sense.
“If she’s twenty weeks, then she’s been pregnant since before she left.” Johnny’s talking to himself at this point, because Simon can’t force his mouth to make words. “Why keep it a secret?” Kate is telling them something about index hits and cameras, but it all amounts to nothing after you board the train, and Simon still fails to make a sound.
And then, she piles it on.
“Graves is in the wind.” Simon’s heart stops like he’s been struck by lightning, electricity jolting him alive.
“How?”
“He went offline. No traceable activity in the last week or so. Last known location was Texas. After that, I’m not sure. Yet.”
‘He can’t be in the wind,” Johnny whisper shouts, all too aware of Penny upstairs, napping. “We need to know where he is. Now.”
“I’m doing all I can. He has resources too, you know. A lot of them.” The screen goes black for a second, before she reappears, lips pressed into a grim line. “I have to go. I’ll keep you updated. Sorry guys.”
They can only nod.
It’s clear as day, what happened now. How you saw them in the hallway, how you drew the conclusion, one that seemed so painfully obvious, connected the dots that appeared in your mind, stringing together bits and pieces until it all made sense.
He knows what will have to happen now. They both do.
Simon presses his forehead to Johnny’s. “We’ll find her.”
“An’ bring her home.”
“No matter what.”
The rest is left unsaid.
You’re having a dream.
It’s a lovely one, more of a memory than anything else, but a dream, nonetheless.
“This still feels like a bad idea.”
“Isnae, ye’ll do great bun. Jus’ the ‘hawk now.” You’ve already finished the sides of his head, which were easy enough, but using actual scissors to cut hair is well outside your wheelhouse.
“What if I mess it up?”
“It’s jus’ hair, pretty girl. It grows.”
“How’s it going out here?” Simon leans out the sliding door, Penny in his arms, and you try to plead with him with wide, nervous eyes. He chuckles. “Looks good so far.”
“See?” Johnny smiles, one of the big ones that stretches his whole face and makes your knees weak. Penny loves them too, and she claps her hands together, giggling.
“But… I don’t… I’m going to mess it up.” Johnny stands, warm hands on your arms.
“Ye could shave me bald and wouldnae mess it up, bun.” You nod, but the acid, noxious taste of worry is still there on your tongue.
“I just… I…” you’re starting to shake a little, fingers squeezing together. He tugs you into his chest, kisses your temple.
“Ye’re alright.”
“I know.” You do know. You’re safe. They’d never hurt you, never betray your trust or even yell at you, but muscle memory doesn’t forget. “I know, I’m sorry.”
“Ye dinnae have to be sorry.”
“It’s okay, bunny.” Simon murmurs, but it’s not.
Is this how you’ll spend your whole life? Afraid? Shaking?
No.
Not anymore.
“If I ruin his hair… it’s not my fault.” Simon chuckles.
“We’ll blame him.” You turn back to Johnny and put your hands on his shoulders, taking a deep breath, surveying the mop of unruly brown strands, and he covers one of yours with his own.
“It’s okay. If ye-“
“No, I can. I can do it.” You don’t know why you’re so nervous. It’s just a hair cut, for crying out loud, but for some reason it feels like plunging into the deep end of a pool. “Okay,” you breathe, making the first snip. He nods encouragingly and you roll your shoulders.
“See? Not so bad?”
“Not so bad.” You cut again and again, trying to manage it all into a proper length, shaping as best you can.
Each snip, something grows. Your hands tremble a little less, your jaw unclenches, lips flexing upward into your cheeks. You breathe deeper.
When Johnny turns around, he doesn’t care about his hair, or the slightly uneven chunks, or the fresh clippings on his shirt.
He cups your face, kissing you before pulling away to rub his thumb across your cheek.
“There she is.”
Spring rain. There’s nothing like it.
It washes away the gloom of winter. It’s the turning of a page, the spine of a brand-new book snapped open with a splintering crack. Cabin fever becomes walks in the park, lunches and coffees outside, hanging out on balconies and patios.
Dead things turned to soil now sprouting new life.
Like you, you guess.
You’ve been dead before. If someone looked really closely, they could see it in your eyes. The grey of decay, the separation of iris and pupil. Dead and brought back not quite right, every time. Sally, stitched together incorrectly, the wrong pieces of patchwork, poorly aligned.
Every time he ripped another piece of you away, you found a different one, one less like you, to put in its place.
Every time, until you weren’t you at all. Until you were a girl in a mirror. Until you were a ghost.
It makes sense that you don’t know yourself now, haven’t known for years. On the run, there’s not a lot of time to stop and consider things like that, those pieces. Coffee or tea? Chocolate cake or vanilla? Do you like snow? Do you like the beach?
Do you like yourself?
You could have had these answers, you think. Could have learned these things, if it hadn’t turned out the way it did. If Simon and Johnny hadn’t turned out to be a hydra, mouths open, waiting to devour you.
Sunbeam kicks. They nail you in the bladder, and you wince, rubbing over the crest of your belly. “You’re killing me, you know that?” You feel like you’ve been hit by a bus, every day. The aches and pains are never ending, your back and hips screaming by the end of a shift. You can’t sleep, the heartburn makes it hard to eat, you’re never comfortable.
The whole time, you curse them, Simon and Johnny.
Their fault, it’s their fault.
And yours too.
But no matter how tired, how sore, how cranky you are, you can’t bring yourself to regret it, and in your dreams, it’s like all the bad, all the awful betrayal didn’t even happen. You dream of a family with them, Penny holding her little sibling, the five you together. It’s all been buried in your mind, too deep and nearly impossible to dig out. The visions of them, the longing, the good memories. You’re infested with them.
You didn’t want this. You wanted them, you wanted it all, and that might be the hardest thing about it. You weren’t given a choice, this decision was made for you, taken from you, just like almost everything else.
Except little sunbeam. You wanted them, chose them, will choose them, over and over, forever, keep them safe, make sure they know they’re loved.
No matter what.
It’s the train, always the train.
Not the long rail train, the commuter train. The one that takes you to and from work, the one that’s sometimes-standing room only, though most people offer you their seat, which is surprisingly kind, compared to where you’re from.
Regardless, you feel the gaze on the train, and no matter how hard you scan, dissect, watch the people around you, there’s nothing. All three faces, three sets of eyes, three profiles, are never anywhere to be seen.
It’s overwhelming, unsettling. The stress of this prickling unease combined with the stress and physical strain of your job is taking its toll on both you and Sunbeam, as the midwife likes to remind you.
Take it easy, take some time off, try to relax. Stay hydrated, eat well.
Yeah… okay.
You rub your belly anxiously, tugging your hood farther over your head, trying to look around without being so obvious.
“Excuse me?” You jolt, startled by a man standing at your elbow, pointing to a vacant spot on a bench. “Would you like my seat?” His smile is subtle, matching an encouraging but not overly intrusive demeanor.
“Sure, thank you so much.” He nods, stepping to the side, into the space between the seat and the divider, close to the door. You try to swing your backpack in front of you, but it gets caught, and he snags it before it falls. “Sorry, thanks.”
“Of course, no problem.” You give him another glance. Really handsome, rich brown eyes you could get lost in. He’s got a baseball cap on, but it’s not pulled down over his face like your hood, he’s not trying to hide. “I’ll move when your stop comes up.”
“Okay, it’s not for a while so, no worries.” He might be kind, but he’s still a stranger, and you’re not going to divulge anything specific. Stranger danger.
Not everyone is a threat but…
“How far along are you?” You blink.
“Uh, about twenty-five weeks, give or take a few days.” He nods.
“My wife is due next week; it’s been a rollercoaster.”
“Yeah, it’s not the easiest.” You laugh, a little apprehensive, but also, a little glad, secretly, to have a casual conversation with someone. He sticks his hand out.
“I’m Kyle.” Your tongue rolls with the practiced name you’ve memorized, the one you’ve drilled into yourself over and over again. “Nice to meet you.”
“Yeah, you too.” The next stop is announced, and he moves gracefully, reaching for his bag and tugging it over his shoulder, barely giving you a second glance.
“This is me, have a good day.”
“Thanks.” He doesn’t look over his shoulder at you when he’s getting off, doesn’t watch you through the window from the platform. He’s completely uninterested, and you breathe a sigh of relief.
The box is delivered on a Tuesday.
The Scottish government gives you almost everything you need. Clothes, thermometers, baby books, a changing mat, a mattress, a sheet, a blanket, the list goes on. The box even doubles as a bassinet.
You cry over it. Rifling through everything, tears drip down your cheeks and you bury your face in your hands. You didn’t get to share an ultrasound with anyone, or have a shower, or hold someone’s hand to your belly as sunbeam kicked, but there’s this. A box full of baby stuff, a box that says no matter how hard it is, you and sunbeam will have a good start. Even Sunbeam’s room is halfway sorted at this point, crib set up, dresser half stocked with clothes, collection of diapers and burp cloths and bottles starting to pile up in various places in their room. You’ve made it comfortable, slowly, mix matched furniture and all.
Every day feels like a year, but as each one passes, you slowly adjust to a new normal, a new life. Something you made, again, from scratch, for yourself, your survival.
And now, for Sunbeam.
One day, maybe it will feel like home.
You really need to stop buying so much crap at the store.
You practically have to drag your grocery loot into the elevator, bags overflowing with fruit, vegetables, cans of formula. Random cleaning products, stuff for baby proofing, a new candle.
Apparently, some call this nesting. You just call it annoying.
You lean against the wall and close your eyes for a moment, shifting your weight to alleviate the pressure on your spine.
Thirty weeks.
Ten weeks left.
Ten weeks left. It’s wild to even think about, to even say to yourself, or out loud. You’re going to be a mom in ten weeks. Going to have a whole human depending on you for every single thing, in ten weeks.
You’ll be alone, with a newborn, in ten weeks.
Alone.
It still aches. Stings. Salt in the wound-
Lit end of a cigarette against your skin.
You instinctively cup your belly, thumb rubbing over where one of your burn scars has been stretched by Sunbeam, and shiver.
You’re fine. You’re safe. Get it together.
“We’re home!” You announce to no one, no one except Gus the goldfish who’s swimming circles around his bowl. You got him two weeks ago on an impulse, following a pathetic, sad desire all the way to the pet store.
It’d be nice to have something to come home to.
You tap a few flakes into the water and watch him gobble them up, oddly soothed by his presence in the flat.
This is how far you’ve fallen. Taking comfort in a damn goldfish.
You blow out a breath and fall onto the couch, swinging your legs up onto the cushions, dragging the pillows under your ankles, or what used to be your ankles. They’re more like overstuffed sausages now, tops of your sneakers cutting into your skin. Every chance you get, you’re finding places to sit at work, caught yourself leaning most of your weight on your patient’s beds, more than once. Thankfully, your coworkers are overwhelmingly understanding.
And when you come home, you do this. Collapse on the couch. Talk to a goldfish, or Sunbeam, or both.
The oddest trio: Mom, baby, goldfish.
You manage to limit yourself to three bites of ice cream before putting the carton away in the freezer. You’re supposed to be watching your sugar intake, apparently, not because you’re at risk for gestational diabetes, but because Sunbeam is already projected to be on the bigger side.
You look mournfully at container, spoon still in hand.
One more. What’s it going to hurt? One more bite isn’t going to turn Sunbeam into a giant, it’s-
Knuckles rap against your door.
Your blood goes cold, colder than ice, and you instinctively find the floor, crouching by the fridge, using it to shield yourself, keeping away from the door’s direct line of sight.
The knocking gets louder.
Someone’s saying something on the other side of the door, but you can’t hear it over the buzzing, beeping sound in your ears.
How.
How? How did it happen so fast? Where did you fuck up?
The fear you once felt for yourself pales in comparison to the true fear you feel now. You’re supposed to protect Sunbeam, supposed to keep them safe.
You’re supposed to be a mom.
A sob claws its way out, and you clap your palm over your mouth, agony squeezing your heart, panic clutching your throat in a vise, choking off your air, throttling you until you’re gasping.
You should run, should sprint into the bedroom and grab the gun from under your mattress, should start crawling out the window to the fire escape.
You should do these things, but instead, you’re trapped, immobile, watching with horror as the deadbolt turns horizontal, sliding the lock free with a bloodcurdling click.
Your baby. You were supposed to keep your baby safe.
You failed.
You stand, so unsteady you have to support your weight by leaning against the counter. The only thing in here are kitchen knives, and you rip two from the block, one hiding behind your back, the other brandished in front of your body like a sword.
You’re going to die.
But not without a fight.
Tears wet your cheeks. “I’m sorry,” you choke, sliding a hand over little Sunbeam, “I’m so- so sorry.”
The creak of the door handle is unmistakable, a metal whine scraping against the frame. You close your eyes.
“Bunny.”
Your heart stops.
The men you thought love you are standing just inside your kitchen, the sight of them turning your stomach, their eyes flicking between you and the shiny, sharp knife in your hand.
Johnny inches forward, his voice a low, gentle murmur, one that cracks your heart. “It’s okay pretty girl, we’re here to take ye home.”
“Get away from me.” The knife is practically rattling in your hand.
"It's alright. We’d never hurt ye, either of ye. We know what ye saw and-“
“N-no,” you sob, voice cracking, shoulders shaking, “don’t come near me.”
“Put that down, sweet girl, it’s alright.” Simon edges around the counter, caution and wary weighing his steps. They’re supposed to be muffled you think, soft, but they ring so loud.
“Stop!”
“Just let us explain, give us a minute-“
“I saw you! I saw you w-with him.” Your vision is blurred by tears, and you look down at your belly, desperate. “Just let us go, please. Don’t- don’t let him-“
“Listen to me, sweetheart. We have nothing to do with Phillip.” His name makes your flinch, and you inch backwards.
“You know him.”
“We do. He tried to kill us, betrayed us, on a mission. Nearly succeeded with Johnny.” The words conflict, mash together into a scramble you don’t understand. It doesn’t make sense.
More lies.
“I don’t believe you.”
“I know, I know you don’t. I wouldn’t if I was in your position either, but we’re telling the truth.” You shake your head.
“No. You’re just… you’re just trying to trick me.”
“We’re not,” Johnny murmurs, “We’ve always told ye the truth, bun. And we’d never hurt ye.” He steps forward. It’s too close, way too close, and you pivot, both knives still clutched in your hands.
“Put them down.” Simon instructs, a little bit of steel in his voice now. He can obviously see the one behind your back, and your heart starts to sink.
There’s no way out. You should have run when you had the chance.
Stupid.
The girl in the mirror stays silent. She says nothing.
For all you know, she’s dead already. Killing blow dealt by your own hand.
You think about Sunbeam, all warm and safe, protected from the world, and despair swells in your chest, an entire ocean beneath your feet, waiting to swallow you up, drag you down and drown you.
“Now, sweetheart. We don’t want you to hurt yourself.” You laugh. It’s a sickly, nervous thing, too tinny and high pitched.
You’re falling apart. You’re not a fighter, you’re a runner, shot lame in a race rigged against you from the beginning. They’re closing in, wolves stalking the bleeding lamb between them, predators about to fall on prey.
“Don’t,” whisper, fingers tightening around the knife in front of your body, unable to hold it steady through the trembling.
“Bunny, listen to us, please.” Johnny is reaching and you get trapped in his gaze, spiraling into the swirl of misery and fear, mirroring your own. “I love ye, we love ye. Ye belong with us, at home, where we can keep ye safe.” You slam your eyes shut, trying to block him out. “I’ve loved ye since the day I opened m’eyes and saw ye leaning over the bed. We’d never hurt ye, we jus’ want to take ye home.”
Out of the corner of your eye, Simon moves. One powerful, huge step, and he’s on you, grabbing your arm, applying pressure to your knuckles to release the knife.
You scream. It’s instinct. Everything shuts down, narrowing down to one objective.
Run.
“Johnny,” he half shouts over your keening, holding gentle pressure against your arm as you try to rip yourself free. “Shhh, it’s okay, you’re okay.” You thrash, trying to twist out of his grip, shoulder shrieking in pain, and he goes with your momentum, providing slack so there’s no tension in your arm. “Stop, you’re going to hurt yourself sweetheart, you’re okay.”
You’re not.
You’re not okay. You’ll never be okay.
The walls close in, and it all becomes so clear. Your future, what will happen if they take you, if you leave here with them.
They’ll take Sunbeam. They’ll turn you over to Phillip, throw you out like trash, and you’ll die.
Are you going to let it happen, just like you let everything else? Are you going to roll over? Let it all be stolen, again and again?
No.
Simon reaches for the other knife and you swing it wide, slicing through the air until the blade meets flesh.
He hisses. Blood spills, drips down the handle, coats your fingers, and you stand there, frozen, gobsmacked.
Did you-
Did you just-
“Johnny,” he barks, but it barely registers, you’re too transfixed by the blood, hypnotized by it, too entranced to even register Johnny at your side, too stunned to see what’s in his hand.
A needle.
He whispers your name, cradles your face-
And then everything goes black.

Happy Friday! Have some Replica Usagi from my Patreon! It was requested during one of my Question Times a month or so back if I had ever drawn Usagi or planned on brining him into Replica. While I have no intention of actually putting him in the comic I thought it would be fun to draw how he might look in the Rise style. More details under the cut!
I would have likely used Usagi Miyamoto (not Yuichi) who at least has some canon connection to TMNT, which is more in line with my canon-esque goal for Replica. He would have been a Yokai from the Hidden Village in Japan that is still hiding in the bad future timeline. Like canon Usagi, Replica Usagi would be strict, disciplined, very no-nonsense, but forms his bonds through honesty and respect. So uh... I don't think he would like Leo very much at first if they ever did come into contact hahah! He's about 5-6 years older than the turtles and I could see them eventually warming up to each other. He would also slowly realize how Leo's less "formal" way of leading and protecting also has its place. Camaraderie is definitely on the table, but I see him more being a mentor/inspiration to Leo and his brothers rather than a love interest. He's sort of like the honor-bound Splinter they never got to have. This is just my interpretation, but I feel like this might be how Rise (with it's no shipping policy) would probably handle an Usagi inclusion.
I really studied some of the designs of yokai of the more furry variety when trying to figure out Usagi's look. It was a fun challenge because while Rise's style tends to use harder/pointy edges for more masculine characters, Yojimbo's style is naturally very round and soft. It was interesting trying to strike that balance between the two. This is still only a first pass but I am liking it so far. Right now I just have him in his typical samurai attire, since I feel like he would work hard to keep his clothing well cared for even in the bad future timeline. But I might eventually think of a more rugged, post-apocalyptic look for him later on.

Against Blood & Water l Sylus
Chapter 1
CH 2 »
Summary: Seventeen years ago, your life had taken a turn for the worse when your newborn twins were separated from you by a cruel twist of fate. The same fate had led you to the N109 Zone, to your children who were all grown up now. Reconciliation with your boys would've been slightly easier had they somehow not acquired a father figure over the years who wasn't letting them go anytime soon.
Warning(s): Subject to change as we progress further into the story. For this chapter: manipulative relationship, unplanned pregnancy, unresponsible man, parent child abduction, only angst in this one.
Word count: 1.8k
Playlist coming soon.
Notes: This story is for the Sylus girlies' who consider Luke and Kieran their babies. There'd probably be some important questions in your mind after you finish reading this. Some of them would be revealed in the coming chapters. Slightly altered details would be present in the story but mostly it won't deviate from the timeline. A little information on the timeline: in this story, the reader is 35 with Luke and Kieran being 17. Sylus never felt like 28 to me so he's a hot ass 39 year old man (bear with me). The reader was pregnant just some weeks after she turned 18 so no, she isn't a minor. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me and I'd try my best to give you a proper answer without revealing too much. Let me know if you wish to be added in the tag list for this. ♥
Seventeen years ago, October came like it always did — a month of crisp air and golden sunsets, a time when the year began to wane, and the world seemed to breathe its last sigh before the chill of winter. You had turned eighteen, your mind filled with the thoughts of new beginnings. Graduation from law school was right on the horizon, you could already picture the crisp white collar of your lawyer’s shirt, the feel of success at your fingertips. A driving license to claim, grown-up independence to savor, a girl’s trip to a sunny beach to mark your coming-of-age. The possibilities stretched out like an endless road, glittering and full of hope.
Then, a steamy night for the celebration of your birthday occurred and it brought along a twist of fate that’d change everything and become the most beautiful mistake of your life.
The moment you found out you were pregnant, it was as if the ground beneath you trembled. The bright future you had painted for yourself seemed to splinter into a thousand broken pieces. You had hoped, for one fleeting moment, that it was just a mistake. But the test was undeniable, the two pink lines standing as cold, unyielding evidence.
At that time, you thought that it was the end.
But then, there was him. Your boyfriend of four years, the boy who had promised you the world with every kiss, every touch. He held you through your multiple breakdowns, whispering soft reassurances. “We’ll figure it out, we’ll be okay. Family first, family always.”
The words sounded comforting at first, and you clung to them like a lifeline thrown into an ocean of uncertainty. You couldn’t even bring yourself to imagine your parents’ reaction. But somehow, in your heart, you trusted him. You believed that you both were in this together, that you’d somehow find a way to make everything work.
You told your parents three weeks into the pregnancy. Their reaction was what you had feared — disbelief, disappointment, a quiet storm of emotions. You expected them to disown you but you willed yourself to not jump upon any fear-induced scenarios. But then, as if they could see past the temporary cloud, they wrapped their arms around you, telling you that the ones who you call your own never leave you in any kind of situation. Your parents had stood as your shield against the societal backlash and never failed to take your stand.
Soon after, you broke the news to your friends and close cousins as well and all of them got together to host a small, no alcohol included, party for you. Some selective relatives of yours were slightly taunting you but they came around as well. You had been overjoyed seeing so much love and acceptance from the people you valued.
You had thought of your boyfriend, miles away handling his family’s business, telling you with a strange half-smile that his parents were abroad and they were supportive of your decisions, that they had already agreed. He informed you that he’d come with his parents to meet you after the birth of your children. And like the love-blinded fool you were, you believed him, your heart softened by his honey-dripped words.
He wasn’t around much during your pregnancy, much to your loved ones’ disapproval, but you dispelled their fears, telling them that he was just busy with his parents’ business. Though you didn’t feel alone during all your ultrasounds, gender reveal, and other precious moments.
Nine months passed, and the world shifted once again. You gave birth to twins, two perfect, crying little boys. Luke and Kierran — names given by you as strong as their tiny, trembling hearts. You looked at their faces, so innocent and unaware, and felt a surge of love that was deeper than any ocean, more infinite than the stars. They were your world, and in that moment seeing their tiny arms flail, you felt the warmth of motherhood in your chest. And you realized that your dreams may have been altered, but they were not truly gone.
The hospital room felt warm, a sanctuary of love and joy as all the visitors took their leave to let you rest. You smelled faintly of antiseptic, but in your delirious new-mother state, it was the smell of life. Your eyes fluttered closed as you slept on the bed beside their crib, your babies’ soft breathing a lullaby in the still night.
And then, you woke to a noise.
A shadow moved at the door, and you blinked through the haze of sleep.
It was him.
Your boyfriend.
He was standing there, a figure you hadn’t seen in at least four months, his eyes uncertain, his posture stiff. You smiled, expecting him to rush to the crib and hold our children, to finally meet the lives you two had created together, a symbol of your love. But instead, he moved toward you with a strange, almost frantic urgency.
Before you could react, he was there, the faint scent of chloroform filling your nostrils as his trembling hands pressed a soaked napkin to your face. Your eyes widened in confusion, and then the world blurred; your limbs grew heavy, and you lost consciousness.
And then… darkness.
When you woke up, it was afternoon from what you could tell. The faces around you were full of sorrow, your parents’ eyes swollen from crying, your friends silent, their faces stricken. The hospital staff stood nearby, their looks pitying and grim. Out of maternal instinct, you checked the crib and you found the place empty where your children were supposed to be.
"Where... where are my twins?" You asked, your voice barely a whisper. It didn’t help your gut as everyone became more sorrowful at that. The words barely lingered in the room before your mother’s sobs filled the room.
“They’re gone,” she said, her voice breaking. "Your boyfriend’s parents—they never approved of them. They... they made him do it. They made him abandon them."
The weight of the words crashed into me like a tidal wave. You couldn't understand, couldn't process the agony of the moment. He—he had abandoned them? My twin boys? My heart shattered, piece by piece, as the cruel reality set in.
“They—where are they?” you gasped your throat tight with the kind of fear that makes your body tremble, the kind of terror that comes from losing something more precious than life itself.
“They’re gone,” your mother repeated, her voice thick with pain. “He took them somewhere after you passed out… probably leaving them on the streets. And then... he ran away. He and his family took the first flight and are abroad now, so we can’t even track them down.”
The room spun, the walls closing in on you. It was a nightmare that you had awoken to, and you couldn’t escape. Your babies, your sweet, innocent twins, were gone. Gone because of him, because of his family. Because all of them didn’t want to take responsibility. And you had been blind enough to trust him.
That day, you had ripped the IV tube out of your arm and dashed out of the hospital in your gown before anyone could stop you. The following hours were a blur of endless searching. You scoured the streets, your hands trembling as you asked strangers if they had seen two newborn babies somewhere. But it was as if they had vanished into the ether, erased from the world as though they had never existed.
You hadn’t worn any slippers, and your feet were dirty, swollen, and even painted with dried blood as your family tried to get you back to the hospital, much to your denial. Once you were back on the bed with your condition rechecked and the room empty, you broke down into sobs. For nine months, you had carried your children and you didn’t even get to spend a whole day with them before they were already ripped out of your arms by the cruel hands of fate.
You had so many dreams that you imagined with them. Every special moment of their life was taken from you just because a boy refused to be a man. You threw the blanket off your body, bitter tears rolling down your cheeks. You felt like a terrible, terrible mother for even being in this air-conditioned room while your boys were out there in this unbearable weather.
Days passed and then months, the pain of their absence gnawed at you every second. You could hear their little cries, their laughter, their tiny hands reaching for me in the darkness. You could still feel the weight of their little bodies in your arms, their warm breath on your skin, and then, just as suddenly, they were gone. You’d see them grow up and then you’d wake up abruptly, drenched in sweat.
Every day, you fought the emptiness, the overwhelming loneliness that threatened to consume you. It was a tragic loss that would haunt you for the rest of your life.
But through it all, you told yourself — you would find them.
Even if it took a lifetime, you would never stop searching. Because nothing in this world could ever break a mother’s determination.
And as you searched, you clung to the memory of their tiny hands in yours, the soft whispers of their names as you held them tightly for the first and last time that unfateful day.
Seventeen years had passed since that fateful day, and now you were a highly successful lawyer working within Linkon’s judiciary system. The sense of relief and satisfaction that came from seeing criminals — especially kidnappers — locked behind bars was unparalleled. In a way, it served as a form of catharsis, a way to release the unrestrained anger you felt for the man who had stolen your bundles of happiness from you.
At present, you were secretly handling a case involving a notorious drug lord, but you had reached an impasse. Determined to break through, you decided to take matters into your own hands. You ventured into a few unlawful locations, hoping to gather enough intel to lead you to the evidence you needed. Your eyes lingered on the conspiracy board in your home, focusing particularly on the parchment handed to you just the day before at The Nest. It contained an address — a location pointing to an old warehouse where, according to sources, drugs were stored until they could be transported to the docks.
The warehouse was situated in the N109 Zone, an area infamous for its criminal activity. The judicial system considered it a nightmare, a place no sane lawyer would dare to tread. But then again, you had long since stopped being called "sane." Your colleagues knew better than anyone how stubborn you could be, especially when it came to cases like this. No one had yet managed to deter you from the dangerous paths you chose to walk.
You had devised a plan: gain access to N109 with the assistance of some wealthy clients, secure an apartment, and collect the evidence you needed. It sounded simple enough. Yet, as you prepared for your journey, a sense of foreboding crept over you, as if your very instincts were warning you of something to come.
But you didn’t care. The next morning, you set off for the N109 Zone, resolute in your mission.

The 1950s, seven months after Steve's arrival
You're not supposed to be here.
The sound of an old radio drifts lazily through the air, some crooner from a time long forgotten. Loki lingers behind Mobius in the living room, adjusting his coat with a smirk that practically drips with condescension. He's enjoying the storm of emotion on Steve's face.
"What do you mean?" The former Captain America asks.
Mobius and Loki exchange glances before Mobius steps forward, pulling out a small, metallic device that flickers with a strange light.
Mobius gets right into his explanation, gesturing to the TemPad, its holographic images flashing in front of Steve: timelines splitting, branches forming, collapsing under the careful pruning of the TVA.
Steve simply watches as the enormity of it sinks in. His world is crumbling around him yet again.
"What do you think you're doing here, Captain?" Loki drawls, his eyes glinting with an odd mix of amusement and sympathy. "Living the quiet life, are we? Playing house in the 1950s?"
Mobius sighs, ignoring Loki's taunts. "You know why we’re here, Steve. We came to bring you back. You weren’t meant to stay."
Steve’s eyes flicker with a brief flash of something – regret? Guilt? Or was that hope? He turns slightly, casting a glance at the quaint home he stands in, and then back at Mobius. "I made my decision."
"Yeah, you did," Loki interrupts, crossing his arms as he sizes up the man in front of him. "And look where that’s gotten you. Hiding out in a time that doesn’t belong to you."
Steve’s jaw clenches, his fists tightening. He can feel the accusation hanging in the air, too familiar, too true. But he keeps his voice steady, his shoulders stiff. "I came back to claim what I deserve."
Mobius steps closer, his voice softer now. "While I understand that, Steve... Right now, you’re living in the past – a time which was never meant to be your present."
Steve says nothing. The truth is a splinter lodged in his chest, one that’s been festering since he first stepped into this world that wasn’t his. Because it wasn’t really about Peggy anymore. It was about you.
You. The one he left behind, the one he’s thought about every single day since he made that fateful choice. He had convinced himself he was doing the right thing, that he could live in the past and let go of everything. But the truth gnawed at him. He wasn’t living here – he was hiding.
"I had to come back," Steve mutters, almost to himself. "I owed it to Peggy."
Loki lets out a sharp laugh, drawing Steve’s attention. "Oh, please. Owing someone something doesn’t mean trapping yourself in a past that doesn’t need you. Peggy moved on, Steve. She had a life. But you? You abandoned yours."
He abandoned you. He abandoned Bucky.
Mobius sighs again, hands slipping into his pockets as he tries to cut through Loki’s sharp edges. "Steve, we’re not here just because of your choices. You staying here, in this time – it’s creating problems. Serious ones."
Steve frowns, straightening. "You prune timelines. What’s one more divergence?"
Mobius rubs the back of his neck, glancing at Loki before answering. "You're not just some random variant. You're Captain America. The impact of your absence is like pulling a thread from a tightly woven tapestry. Everything starts to unravel. Even the TVA can't stop the consequences of that for long."
Steve’s face hardens. "I'm just living quietly, out of the way. No one knows I'm here."
Loki’s voice cuts in, sharp and cold. "And every day you stay, more branches form. The longer you hide from where you're meant to be, the more damage is done."
Mobius steps forward, his voice steady but urgent. "Steve, we can only prune so much before the entire thing collapses. And trust me, when that happens, we don’t just erase this reality. We erase you."
"I don't believe – "
"We erase her."
Steve’s breath catches, his mind racing. This wasn’t what he thought. Now that harm is directed to you, the situation has drastically changed for him.
"And what if I go back?" Steve’s voice is tight, controlled, but beneath it is a thread of fear, of hope.
Mobius softens, sensing the shift. "If you go back, the timeline stabilizes. The branches collapse. The Steve Rogers your world remembers – the one who fought for the future, not the past – returns. And her…" He pauses, carefully choosing his words. "She's still waiting for you, Steve."
"Is she?" Loki cuts in, his tone mischievous as can be. "Didn't they just – "
Mobius sharply stops him right then and there. "Shut up, Loki."
Steve's heart twists painfully. His choice had been selfish, and he knows that. He'd run from you, from a future he was afraid to face. A life he believed could never offer peace.
"What if it's too late?" His voice breaks, just a little, his heart finally admitting the one thing he’s been too afraid to say.
Mobius smiles gently. "You’ve made tough calls before, Steve. But this isn’t about war, or duty, or sacrifice. This is about you. You deserve to live in your timeline – with the people who need you. She needs you. Go back, Steve. Fix what you can still fix."
Steve stands in silence, torn between the life he thought he wanted and the one that’s still waiting for him. He thought staying here would bring him peace, but all it's brought is doubt, regret, and a gnawing emptiness. He doesn't have his heart here with him.
Steve is about to speak, when Hunter comes bounding in the room, tail wagging wildly as he takes in the intruders. Another thing that Steve will have to leave behind.
But, apparently not.
"The dog can come with you," Mobius offers, shrugging lightly.
"What?" Loki turns to him in amused disbelief.
"Oh c'mon. Hunter is just as much hers, as he is Steve's."
2024, seven months after Steve's departure
For a while, everything had felt right.
Whatever right was in your lives.
Until the TV in your apartment blared the news about John Walker, Captain America 2.0.
Bucky watched it, jaw clenched, as some stranger stood there in Steve's uniform, parading the shield like it had only ever been his.
Bucky saw the flash of pain that crossed your face, which quickly transformed into anger.
He felt it almost immediately. You were pulling back, closing yourself off, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Not when the ghost of Steve is hovering between the two of you.
Was it still about Steve? Or was it about the future you both thought you had a handle on, until some nobody took everything that Steve represents?
Bucky knows you're hurting. He feels it. He's felt it since the moment Steve left – when you were left behind, and so was he.
And it kills him, seeing you like this, maybe even more than the pain he feels from being left behind.
Steve's shadow is keeping you from fully being here, with him, and it's a fresh kind of hurt.
You shut the TV off and irately toss the remote somewhere in the room.
Bucky clenches his fists and finally speaks, his voice rougher than usual. "We should go see Sam."
"Okay," you respond, your voice calm yet empty.
He's not going to lose you. He can't.
"Doll?"
Your response is a barely audible hum.
Bucky reaches for your hand, his anchor. "We're gonna be okay."
You nod, and offer a weak smile.
It's enough, for now.
When you arrive at Sam's, the tension doesn't ease. Sam takes one look at the two of you, and immediately detects that something is off.
Obviously, there's the matter of Walker. But he sees that there's something different too.
Just what the hell did you and Bucky get yourselves into?
Bucky and Sam exchange a look – one loaded with frustration – before Bucky breaks the silence. "We can't let Walker carry that shield, Sam. Before Steve left, he – "
Sam sighs, shaking his head. "He hinted at wanting to pass the mantle on to you or me – "
Bucky intervenes, "It should be you."
" – but... it's out of our hands, Buck. The government's already made their decision."
The words hit Bucky like a punch. You stay quiet, your mind whirring. You're thinking about Steve again – Bucky can see it.
Something settles in the pit of his stomach. It's nasty and unwelcome, and it makes him want to reach for you and shake Steve out of your thoughts.
He wants to tell you that he's here, and Steve isn't.
He's jealous.
Great, Bucky groans internally, I'm jealous of a damn ghost.
Sam watches the two of you for a moment, sensing the tension. "We'll figure something out. But for now, we have to let this play out. I've got other things on my plate right now."
"What is it?" you finally speak up, concern evident in your tone. "Anything we can do to help?"
"I've been hearing talk about this group. They call themselves the Flag Smashers. I can show you guys the briefing. They're out there right now, and they're not gonna wait for us to get our act together."
"We're coming with you," Bucky says, his voice steady and unflinching.
"Non-negotiable," you confirm, smirking, stepping closer to Bucky as a show of unity.
Sam hesitates, arms crossed as if weighing his options, then his gaze lingers on Bucky's neck. Then slowly – too slowly – he glances at you.
That's when he finally catches on.
The look on his face is almost comical, his eyes widening as he clocks the similar, telltale mark at the crook of your neck.
"Oh, man. Really?"
You feel your cheeks heat instantly as Sam's smirk grows wider.
"What? It's not – " you try to speak, but Sam's having none of it.
"No, no, no. This explains a lot. Like, a lot." He's grinning now, shaking his head like he's finally in on the joke. "I mean, all this weird energy... I thought y'all we're just mad about Walker, but now I get it. Shoulda known. It makes a lot of sense, the two of you."
You glance at Bucky, who looks like he'd rather be anywhere but in that room.
"It's not like that," you mutter defensively, even though it's pointless with Sam.
"Sure, sure," Sam says, failing to suppress a chuckle. "You two just happened to get the same exact bruise in the same exact spot. Must have been a hell of a battle, huh?"
Bucky just scowls, though his ears are tinged pink. "So are you going to brief us or what?"
"Nah, man, you're good. So, what's the plan? You gonna take on the Flag Smashers like it's some couples' retreat?"
You sigh. "We're helping. That's it. This conversation is over."
"Okay, okay," Sam raises both hands in surrender, but he doesn't miss the chance to land another jab. "You're in. But maybe leave the hickeys for after the mission, yeah?"
"Shut up, Wilson," Bucky grumbles. Then he mutters under his breath, as Sam walks away to retrieve the files – "No promises."
You shoot him a look that lets him know you heard him, and he meets your gaze coolly. He wanted you to hear.
You feel a bit lighter – it's the effect he has on you.
Even though chaos has set back in your reality, and even though you're not quite sure where things stand between you and Bucky, there's one thing you know for sure – you're going into this together.
Non-negotiable.

Some notes in the margins...
Stevie boy's coming back! With Hunter!! I guess you can say he'll actually give Bucky something to be jealous about. 🤷🏻♀️
Judging by the results of this poll, yous are heavily pro-Bucky. Can't blame ya. But is he endgame?
What do you think will happen when they're all back together in the next part? 🙃

For your sep au what was Leo Raph and Donnies roigh timelines like? Also why does Donnie look shorter than everyone else (is he just slouching orrr)

Donnie has a problem with slouching, so it's mostly because of that.
But also because I may or may not have accidentally drawn him too low on the page
He's also now younger than Leo by a couple decades, so two much larger brothers made him look a lot smaller than I intended XD
The timeline stuff is a bit to explain.
So allow me to explain!
Leonardo's timeline was veryyy similar to that of the first five minutes of the movie. The Kraang invaded, the Resistance was formed.
And the Resistance failed.
One by one, the Hamato clan and friends fell. Raph died protecting refugees fleeing a Kraang prison camp. Soon after, Splinter succumbed to old age. Cassandra hung herself after being captured by the Kraang so they wouldn't be able to get important intel. A few years later, Donnie was killed in a freak lab explosion, and Mikey just. . . disappeared.
When the Kraang finally found the Resistance base, Leonardo was injured in battle, and April sacrificed herself to buy Casey Jr. enough time to get him and Leo to safety. Now, it was just the two of them struggling to survive.
Then the Kraang decided to leave Earth, assuming they had successfully concurred humanity.
So Casey and Leo set out to take down the Technodrome, determined in keeping the Kraang trapped on Earth to protect the rest of the galaxy or die trying.
And miraculously, they succeeded. But Casey died during the mission.
Alone for years on a planet now practically equivalent to the prison dimension, Leonardo only kept trying to survive because Casey Jr. made him promise to before the Kraang ended his life.
When the other Michelangelo found him, Leo was close to breaking that promise. Fortunately, he had held on for a little bit longer.
Raphael's timeline is almost the exact same as the events of the movie.
He was captured by the Kraang, infected and kraang-ified. His brothers came to rescue him and stop the Kraang.
But Leo wasn't able to get through to his big brother.
Something important to note is that Raph never stopped fighting for control. He was so determined to break free, because his brothers needed him. It was annoying for the Kraang, really. It's easiest to control broken spirits, and Raph wasn't about to break any time soon.
So the Kraang forced him to do the one thing that would shatter his resolve. They made him kill his own brothers, rip them limb from limb with his own bare hands.
It's an image likely to haunt him for the rest of his life, and is only one of the things the Kraang made him do.
Raph was under their control for years, both prisoner and soldier. He was quick to become the Kraang's favorite play thing, seemingly enjoying the torment they put him through; physically, mentally, emotionally, psychologically.
Over time, the Kraang infection within became a permanent part of him. Then Michelangelo rescued him, using his mystic powers to free Raph's mind, and brought him to his new home.
Now unlike the other two, Donatello never got the chance to meet the Kraang.
Mostly because he and his brothers never took down the Shredder.
They were going to of course. They went to rescue their dad, they had their Hamato ninpo. But things went terribly wrong.
Cassandra tried to free Splinter, just like in the show. But the Shredder ended her before she had the chance. With so much power coursing through him, there was nothing the turtles could do. Draxum was down next.
Without any backup, it was four against one, and the turtles weren't fairing too well. And in this timeline, they had never met April. The brothers did their best, but Shredder was just too strong.
During the battle, Mikey was critically injured. Raph and Leo gave one look at each other, and together held off the Shredder just long enough for Leo to portal Donnie and Mikey away to safety.
Donatello couldn't do anything as Mikey died in his arms.
Over the next year, Earth became a mafia state, with the Foot at the very top. Donnie did his best to keep a low profile, turning to a life of crime to scrape by. He's been betrayed by would-be friends, stabbed in the back more times than he can count.
He's learned that the best way to stay safe is to not get attached. Anyone who tries to be your friend is bound to hurt you.
Then, he was proven right.
Often times, gangs would hire him for his tech. On one such instance, the Purple Dragons managed to convince him to team up with them on a high pay heist. Donnie knew it was a bad idea from the start, but against his better judgement, went along with it.
The Purple Dragons obviously betrayed him, stealing all of his tech and research. And Kendra being. . . well, Kendra, she decided to take it a step further, to kill Donnie right there.
That's when the other Michelangelo arrived, rescuing Donatello.
To put it simply, these three have been through hell. They have a lot of issues, and a lot of stuff to work through.

My submission for Day 18 of @25daysofvoyager! :3
I wanted to work with December in the First Splinter Timeline (Beyer) books which OF COURSE landed in Protectors lmao. So Kathryn's on Earth with Philippa, and Chakotay is on Voyager in the DQ with Amelia, Ed, and the Paris family. :)
My ideas for Kathryn and Pip's Christmas surrounded Kathryn being mopey and emotional (Early on pregnant with Liam), and her baking some pumpkin stuff cough CRAVINGS and burning everything haha. Philippa and Gretchen find Kathryn's old cherished toy Sneakers (The green and purple mouse) and Gretchen helps Philippa patch him up to give to her momma for Christmas.
At the other end of the universe, Chakotay's a bit unfamiliar with Christmas traditions and reaches out to Tom and B'Elanna for help. I fell in love with the idea that Miral ends up showing Chakotay how to celebrate Christmas and later the two team up to kill Santa AKA Tom. Ed and Amelia are getting to that age where they don't believe anymore but they're supportive of their papa getting to do that kiddy Christmas stuff with their half-sister.
#b'elanna is also bregnant w/ michael lmao cringe#i think my idea for chakotay's was that like he's trying really hard to step up for amelia and ed while their momma's away#and really flubs it doesnt do a good job#and theyre supportive and love his effort but theyre like 'papa we're teenagers lol'#and then he gets to have fun w/ miral who still believes lol#My Art#25DaysofVoyager#Star Trek: Voyager#Threshold#AU#Kathryn Janeway#Philippa Janeway#Gretchen Janeway#Sneakers#Chakotay#Edward Janeway#Amelia Janeway#Thomas Paris#Miral Paris#B'Elanna Torres#Human#Klingon#First Splinter Timeline#Protectors

OG timeline repeatedly trying to resurrect Reader, making Reader sick in the new timeline. When new timeline gets magic users involved, they get told someone is trying to steal the Reader's soul in a past lifetime or something.
On another note, I'm imagining Reader getting so frustrated with the doors being barricaded or locked that they decide to leave threw their windows. They end up doing so a few times without anyone noticing. But one day, they fall while escaping and get bruised up. It's only on Reader's arms and legs. Reader goes back into their room without anyone noticing. Long sleeves and long pant legs cover everything. But Dick tries to cuddle them, Jason pushes them, or Damian grabs them, and Reader flinches. Their eyes get watery.
They find out about the bruises but don't know how Reader got them. And Reader refuses to say anything in case they start locking the windows too.
Really like your writing and will wait patiently for the next chapter, cause you're worth it. 💓
cracking my knuckles rolling my back getting back in the zone.
if anyone saw me use the wrong your YOU DID NOT I DIDNT
masterlist

for the first ask, yeah i see that happening, in the og timeline everyones gripping their hair desperately trying to bring you back, only for john to pull up with all the commotion and casually drop, "yeah, their souls gone."
meanwhile, in the second timeline, you're getting sick like crazy. literally dizzy every waking moment, you throw up at random times -- you're just all 'round unwell and your family is freaking out because -- ?? what the flip? why are you sick?! and no matter how many doctors they send to you, or how much medicine you take. you're still sick!! (but it does make you less likely to run away.)
but neither timelines are willing to give you up.. good luck!

as for the second prompt, ugh i love this.
you sneak through your window, climbing down the tree and jumping into some bush just to hang out, get some ice cream and relax for once. but the jumping and climbing tend to bruise you, and with your stupid family constantly pushing you around -- someone's bound to notice.
dick notices it while he's cooing and hugging you, holding you so close that he can feel the frantic beating of your heart merge into his own steady rhythm, when he notices a pained expression on your face that would usually hold an annoyed scowl. then he notices that you're wearing long sleeves in summer -- his thoughts spiral into you, his poor, baby, sibling lying in a bathtub of their blood and--
"ow! dickhead, you're crushing me!" you grit, trying to wriggle out of his iron-clad grasp as he pushes against your bruises.
"oh-- my poor (name)!" he coos, rubbing his cheek on the top of his head as his hands slide towards the hem of your sleeves -- inching to reveal what he fears the most before you throw yourself out of his arms with a gasp and running away.
dick stands for a moment before running after you with a gleeful call of your name.
after a series of bumping into jason, running from damian, parkouring from tim and trying to hide from cass -- you thought you were in the clear.
later, with a relieved sigh you go to open your window -- only for it to not budge.
..
you push once, twice, thrice! before gripping the damn handle with both hands and practically brawling with it, grunting and cursing and huffing.
"what the fuck." you grumble, only for a larger hand to gently take your wrist. you feel your heart stop with a deafening thud -- with comical slowness you look up to see bruce.
fuck's sake.
"you're hurting yourself." he hums worriedly, his thumb running over a particularly deep bruise on your wrist. his frown deepens as he pushes up your sleeve to reveal a series of bruises, cuts and splinters. "(name)..."
thats how you find yourself smothered by your family as they bandage and rub ointments on your wounds, cooing and scolding.
so annoying.

meeeeyow

Whiteboard doodles for today !
Tang Shen supremacy 5ever- 🫶
I desperately want a 2012 timeline to exist where Shredder gets redeemed (At least, as much as he can realistically speaking-) and Tang Shen never passes away- But I know it's kind of impossible for both those things to exist at the same time,, 😭 Lmao
But imagine if Yoshi (Splinter) acknowledged Saki's (Shredder's) deteriorating mental health (Which is canon. Have you seen this man in Season 4? LMAO) and tries to reach out more. Despite knowing how much his brother wants his dead. Despite knowing he's the reason his wife is gone and his daughter didn't know he existed for years / painted him as her Mother's murderer.
Because if you really dissect Saki as a character, he's kind of an understandable / "relatable" antagonist-?? His biological Father (Honestly whole family I'm sure-) was murdered by his new adoptive Father (Yoshi's), his entire clan was taken out and he was swiftly indoctrinated into the Hamato Clan as an infant, I'm sure he practically got the Naruto treatment from the Hamato Clan (Always being judged for descending from the Foot Clan, like he asked for that or something-), Yoshi presumably was treated significantly better than him + was most definitely the favorite child between the two of them when it came to their Father-
This is getting a little theoretical here, since we don't exactly know the timeline between Tang Shen and Yoshi & Saki, but my personal opinion is that:
Saki met Tang Shen first- He had a very surreal connection with her and finally felt understood by somebody / wasn't treated differently because of his bloodline connections, right. Probably because he still has a lot of growth to do as a person, they had a falling out and the relationship ended (Tang Shen absolutely being the one to call it off-). Then after some time she ends up being in a romantic relationship with Yoshi and stays with him. To me, this is the most logical course of events considering what we see in the S3 episode, "Tale of the Yokai"-
But the reason I explained all this is because I feel like this is yet another thing that Saki feels the Hamato Clan has stolen from him. He has nothing, everything that he did have was taken from him, and he's treated as some sort of vile creature that needs to be "shown the proper path". I also want to throw out the possibility that their Father (Yoshi's Father-) being an unreliable narrator, since we don't get a lot of context behind the Foot Clan and whether or not they were actually bad people- I know historically speaking, the Foot Clan has always been the villains in this franchise, but for 2012 specifically we never truly got any proof of that (in my opinion) prior to Shredder's reign as head of the Foot- You know what I mean? (Though I know this is yet another thing that can be chalked up to poor writing / world building-)
During the same episode, "Tale of the Yokai", we witness Saki openly call out Yoshi for not caring about Tang Shen enough and for not caring about him. This is something I'd also love to get into at some point, since I think this would've been a really deep and complicated Character Arc for Splinter to have potentially gone through ! Because in my personal opinion, I don't think Splinter doesn't care about the people that he claims to care about + love immensely, I just think he doesn't show it in the way that he believes he is showing it- He doesn't always understand how his actions are being perceived by those people, you know what I mean?? That's exactly why I say Shredder should have had a Redemption Arc and Splinter should have been a huge part of that, because at the end of the day you can understand why Saki is so upset as a person-?? All he wanted was somebody to genuinely love him for who he was and not try to change him or blame him for something he wasn't even alive for at the time. I think Splinter really needed to prove to him that he does love him. I also think Splinter should go through similar efforts with his sons first before making an attempt with Saki- Since I know a lot of people have issues with his parenting / feel he didn't love any of his sons except Leo (Which I half agree, half disagree- Also talking about Splinter's lack of self-awareness or situational awareness sometimes, I feel like that's why he never really addressed the favoritism with Leo.,, Because he was his Father's favorite child, so why would he have that kind of self-reflection when he didn't notice it between himself and his brother- You know? 😭).
The point is, I think Saki is just a deeply hurt / scarred man and because he was constantly left his own devices and quite frankly self-isolated, he just got worse and worse,, You can honestly see that deterioration throughout the series with how delusional he becomes towards the end- I promise I'll stop yapping after this, but can we talk about the moment that Shredder had during the S4 episode, "The Super Shredder" when he was describing constantly seeing Splinter in his nightmares and him having this condescending face all the time-?? 😭

Yellowjackets With Reader Who Always Wears A Cap Headcanons! [Peri-crash] (1)
A/N: This is set during the cabin timeline. Lottie is just starting to unravel, so she's not fully into her prophet role yet. And Misty is unhinged, but not completely yet. She still mostly has it under control, but not for too long ;>
Jackie Taylor:
Jackie notices immediately. I mean, how can she not? Because who wears a cap all the time? At first, she just assumes it's just some fashion quirk of yours. And to be honest, she thinks it's kind of cute in a way. “Is there a bald spot under there or what?” She tried joking about it with you one time. But when she started liking you, she found herself looking at you with it every time. She noticed how you pull it lower when you're anxious or tuck hair under it before sleeping.
As time passed by, it became less weird and more... you. So when she caught you without it during one of the rare times she managed to wake before everyone else, seeing you brush your wet hair out. Jackie just stares. She doesn't say anything and just watches you for a moment. But later in the afternoon when she walks past you? “You look… nice.” She mumbled. It was barely audible, but you heard it anyway. She didn't look at you when she said it, and she never brought it up again.
Shauna Shipman:
Shauna is naturally an observant person. So yes, she noticed the cap. But didn't care about it until she realized you wear it even while sleeping. Even while it's damp from rain. That's when she gets interested in it and starts wondering why you wear it. She even began writing about you in her journal from time to time. “Mystery Cap Girl. I don't know why she keeps wearing that cap of hers no matter what, but she's probably hiding more than just hair under there.”
But then a moment comes when you're in the cabin, brushing your hair with trembling hands and she walks in. Shauna's brain seemed like it stopped functioning for a moment she stopped in the doorway and looked at you like she's seen something she shouldn't. “Why do you wear it all the time?” She ended up thinking out loud. “Because it helps keep my hair from getting messy.” You answered simply, staring at her. Shauna blinks once, then twice before laughing.
Taissa Turner:
At first, Tai doesn't give a shit about the cap. I mean, everyone's got their thing. But then she realizes you never take it off. Not even when you're half asleep. Not even when it's soaked and dripping. However, as time passed, she began to wonder about it. Even making up theories about it, like maybe you have a scar on your head or maybe you have a bald spot. Or perhaps you just don't like not having it on at all.
She tells herself she doesn't care about it at all. But then one day, you're helping one of the younger JV girls out because she got a splinter and your cap falls off. You freeze. Tai freezes too. She sees your eyes flick toward the ground like you're debating whether to bolt as her heart stutters. Tai picks up your cap and hands it to you, slowly and quietly. And later, around the fire at night? “You’re beautiful, you know. With or without it.” She murmurs. You feel your cheeks heat up suddenly.
Van Palmer:
Van is the only one who says something about the cap and teases you for it constantly. “It’s been two weeks, are you growing a second head under there?” She grins at you. She means it with affection, but there's also some curiosity with it. You're so guarded with your cap that she can't help but wonder why. And with how much you wear it? Van starts associating the cap with you. She doesn't think she's falling for you.
Not until she sees how your hands tremble when someone cries and how you always crack a dry joke when things get tense. One afternoon, your cap got caught in a tree branch while you were climbing. Van helped you down, and you didn't even realize it was missing until you were back on the ground. “Wow,” She said, breathless. You looked at her, an eyebrow raised at her. “Nothing,” She grinned. “You’re just… I didn’t think you could get cuter. But I guess I was wrong.” You blush
Natalie Scatorccio:
Nat doesn't comment on it at first. I mean, everyone's been clinging to something since the crash. And she's not one to pry, but she notices. She always notices. And when she started liking you, the hat turned from an odd quirk of yours to something she identified with you. Because you're you with the cap on. Besides that, she's already so used to seeing you wear it all the time no matter what. Whether you're sleeping, if it's wet, or if it smells. You're always wearing it.
So when she sees you without your cap for the first time while you're washing blood off your hands by the river? She stops dead. “You okay?” You asked, turning your head to look at her. Nat swallows slowly, before nodding. “You just—you look different.” She tells you. “Worse?” You laughed. “Nah,” She mutters. “Too good, actually.” Then she lights a cigarette after that, saying nothing more. But later, she does give you her knit beanie when your cap's too wet to wear.
Lottie Matthews:
Lottie doesn't question the cap, but she does wonder why you always wear it, no matter the circumstances. When she started developing feelings towards you, she didn't even notice it at first. Not until she noticed how much she always sat closer to you by the fire, and kept looking forward to doing chores together with you more than anyone else. When she realized it, she was caught off guard. You're not even her usual type (if she even has one), at least that's what she thinks.
One night, when everyone's preparing to go to bed, she saw you sitting by the window and braiding your hair with your cap off as you hummed softly. Lottie doesn't know what happened with her at that moment, but it's like she forgot to breathe for a second. “Something on my face?” You noticed her looking at you. “No,” She says quickly. “I just… I didn’t expect you to be so—” She stops. “So what?” You raised an eyebrow at her. “…beautiful,” She finished.
Laura Lee:
Laura Lee doesn't pry about it. She thinks it's endearing in a way. I mean, she holds onto her bible the same way you hold onto your cap. It's probably a comfort thing for you like her bible is to her. People need what they need out here. And if you need to wear your cap all the time? She'll be respectful of that. But then she starts liking you without even realizing it. The way you're always so kind toward the younger girls. The way you always sit quietly during prayers, even if you don't join.
She's not sure what to do with it, but she doesn't deny it to herself either. And one afternoon, when she went to the creek to wash her hands, she saw you. Capless with your eyes closed, face to the sky. You were by yourself, just breathing in the fresh air around you. Laura Lee thinks this is the most peaceful she's ever seen you since the crash, before quickly looking away and going back to the cabin. Later, when you come back, she gives you her extra hair tie. “In case you ever want to switch things up.” She simply says.
Misty Quigley:
Misty never paid attention to it at first before the crash happened, you were nice to her once. And Misty being Misty immediately took it as a sign that you guys were “friends” with each other. She notices everything about you, and she immediately notices you wearing your cap no matter what. She tried asking about it once, but you just turned your head around and glared at her when she did. Since then, she hasn't tried questioning you about it again.
She assumes that you just like it a lot, hence why you wear it all the time. That is, until one night when you got caught in the rain after getting some firewood. Your cap was soaked, and she insisted on drying it by the fire for you. “You look… good,” She blurted out. You raised an eyebrow at her. “I mean, not that you don’t usually! Y-You just—you have a nice head. Shape,” She looked away from you quickly. “Whatever. I’ll shut up now.” She rubs her arm nervously, cheeks a bit red.

STAR WARS PREQUELS - A TIMELINE
So, what's this about, huh? After recently sitting down with Star Wars Timelines, I was genuinely surprised at just how much they were willing to nail down to a specific year and sequence of events, which admittedly is a reference book and those are pretty low on the canon totem pole so be prepared for future retcons down the road, but it's shockingly useful information to have! Because the more I paged through it, the more I realized just how useful it would be for fic writers, especially for anything that might be referenced by a prequels character. Do you want to know how old the Jedi Order basically is? What the eras were called, if a prequels character wanted to reference them? What year did Dooku leave the Jedi? When did Naboo join the Republic? When was the Republic founded? When was the Jedi Temple built? When was Yaddle born? When did the Togruta ally with the Republic? Was Anakin born on Tatooine? When did Plo discover Ahsoka? When did Anakin get his first kyber crystal? When did Obi-Wan join the Jedi Council? WHEN DOES THE MANDALORIAN CIVIL WAR TAKE PLACE?? Some of this is SO INTERESTING to have nailed down into place--like just how old Huyang is or that the Jedi Temple was constructed on Coruscant BEFORE the Republic existed! Useful for me to know, but also my prequels-era characters to know! This book is willing to tell us A LOT and I collated everything I thought would be useful for a prequels character to know! ERAS:
c.5,000 BBY– 1,032 BBY: Ancient conflicts "The Jedi and Sith wage a series of wars throughout their history so ruinous that at points each is brought to the brink of destruction."
c.500 BBY–330 BBY: "The Age of Exploration" "After centuries of governing in regions near the galactic Core, the Republic sets out to explore the Outer Rim. This era of exploration on the frontier presents many adventures and opportunities for the Republic and the Jedi Order alike, but growth also leads them to uncover new mysteries and dangers. Soon the Jedi Order’s very connection to the Force is put to the test."
c.500 BBY–100 BBY: "The High Republic" The four hundred years that are collectively referred to as the High Republic era.
TIMELINE:
c.25,025 BBY: BIRTH OF THE JEDI
"The Jedi Order is founded. Among the earliest locations, and likely the first, is a temple constructed on the planet of Ahch-To. Later, the temple retains the most treasured Jedi texts and earliest writings on the Order’s faith. For eons, these noble protectors stand united by their ability to harness the power of the Force itself for good."
c.25,020 BBY: Professor Huyang powered up "The architect droid Professor Huyang begins training Jedi younglings in the delicate art of lightsaber construction."
c.20,000 BBY: Dawn of the Republic
"The foundation of the Republic is formed through an alliance including Coruscant, Corellia, and Alderaan, prompted by the dawn of hyperspace travel."
c.5,000 BBY: Creeping darkness
"A dark-side sect splinters from the Jedi, causing the formation of the Sith. This fracture is the genesis of a millennia-long rivalry."
c.5,000 BBY–1,032 BBY: "The Sith battle the Jedi in numerous conflicts for thousands of years before their struggle comes to an end, resulting in the destruction of the Sith Empire."
c.5,000 BBY–1,032 BBY: "The Sith build shrines on planets, including Malachor and Moraband. They covet these locations for their connection to the dark side of the Force."
c.1,050 BBY: A Mandalorian Jedi
"Tarre Vizsla becomes the first of the Mandalorian warriors to be inducted as a member of the Jedi Order. The unique lightsaber he constructs comes to be known as the Darksaber, later stolen to be used as a symbol to unite his planet."
c.1,032 BBY: Coruscant Temple erected
"The main Jedi Temple on Coruscant is constructed at the same location where there was once a Sith shrine."
c.1,032 BBY: "Darth Bane, the last surviving Sith, recognizes that infighting and back-stabbing ultimately led to the downfall of the Sith Empire. He declares the Rule of Two, whereby there can only be a sole master and single apprentice of the Sith. The practice safeguards the inherently selfish Order from self-destruction, thus ensuring the survival of the Sith for centuries to come."
1,000 BBY: Reformation of the Republic
"The first incarnation of the democratic alliance of planets, the Galactic Republic, is reformed."
c.972 BBY: Rules of war
"The Galactic Accord of Systems establishes a set of rules of engagement, in the event another war should break out."
896 BBY: Yoda is born
"The future Jedi Master Yoda is born."
832 BBY: Construction of Theed
"Naboo’s capital city, Theed, is built. The floating city on the banks of the river Solleu becomes the jewel of the metropolis."
867 BBY: Naboo joins the Republic
"The planet of Naboo officially joins the Galactic Republic. The event will be commemorated annually with The Festival of Light."
796 BBY: Students of Yoda
"Master Yoda begins training Jedi. He will maintain this regular practice, teaching the newest members of the Order, for about 800 years."
600 BBY:
Jabba Desilijic Tiure is born.
509 BBY:
Yaddle is born.
c.392 BBY: PATHFINDERS
"The Republic and the Jedi establish Pathfinder teams to explore new hyperspace lanes in the farthest reaches of the galaxy. A team of Pathfinders typically includes two Jedi, a master and their apprentice, who work together with their Republic allies to discover new ways through dangerous and unexplored places. They work with communications teams who lay the groundwork for the infrastructure needed for Republic growth. In return for their efforts, the Jedi Order hopes to gain new understanding of the galaxy, new cultures, and the Force."
c.383 BBY: THE HYPERSPACE RUSH
"Independent explorers also race to discover new paths through hyperspace. These prospectors risk their lives in perilous, uncharted corners of the Outer Rim, hoping to find safer, shorter routes. Families like the Grafs and San Tekkas earn great fame and fortune by selling their knowledge of these new hyperlanes."
382 BB The First High Republic book of Phase II
The High Republic: Path of Deceit kicks off the second phase of books, set 150 years before the previous phase.
382 BBY: Battle of Jedha
"The Path of the Open Hand instigates a battle on the sacred moon of Jedha."
232 BBY The First High Republic book of Phase I:
The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, which kicks off the original era of the High Republic (out of universe, not in universe), starting with the Great Hyperspace Disaster where a ship explodes in hyperspace over the planet Hetzal Prime. This ignites an intergalactic conflict with the Nihil that draws the Jedi and the Republic into a massive connected, long-running series of battles against them.
232 BBY:
"Dignitaries and Jedi gather at the Starlight Beacon for its official dedication ceremony."
The Great Hyperspace Disaster (the Legacy Run explodes in hyperspace) happens and the Jedi rush to help mitigate the disaster and evacuate as many people as they can.
"The brave deeds of the Jedi Order [in the Great Hyperspace Disaster] are cast across the galaxy via holotransmissions, making Kriss and her fellow Jedi heroes."
The Emergences: "Though Hetzal has been saved by the heroics of the Jedi, fragments of the Legacy Run continue to threaten the frontier. Fear grips the Outer Rim as blazing wreckage of the ship appears with little warning from hyperspace. As the Republic seeks answers to these Emergences, a group of Jedi stranded in a forgotten corner of space unknowingly cause a far older and more sinister threat to emerge: the Drengir."
"Wreckage from the Legacy Run scatters through hyperspace, endangering the Outer Rim. The first of the Emergences after the Great Hyperspace disaster occurs at Ab Dalis, killing 20 million beings."
"The Nihil strike on Elphrona, intending to ransom well-connected homesteaders and capture a Jedi for Marchion Ro’s evil machinations."
"The Jedi Council votes to join the Republic against the Nihil."
232 BBY: A BEACON OF HOPE
"With the Great Disaster behind them, the Republic and Jedi refocus on the opening of the Starlight Beacon. This towering space station located in the Outer Rim is one of Chancellor Lina Soh’s Great Works, meant to provide a symbol of hope in a dark corner of the galaxy. This shining example of Republic unity and progress serves as a vital base for the ongoing struggles with the Nihil and Drengir."
"One of Chancellor Lina Soh’s Great Works, the Starlight Beacon, begins operation after a dedication ceremony attended by Republic dignitaries and prominent members of the Jedi Order. The station is to be just one of many beacons, serving to connect, inspire, and serve the Republic’s growth in the Galactic Frontier. The Jedi maintain a permanent presence on the station under the leadership of Marshal Kriss and the watchful eye of the exacting Jedi Master Estala Maru."
"Hunting the Nihil - Though it lacks a formal military, the Republic forms a special task force to hunt the Nihil, with Joss and Pikka Adren among the first volunteers."
"The Jedi broker the Ayelina-Ludmere trade agreement."
232 BBY: GROWTH OF THE DRENGIR
"The carnivorous Drengir take root across wide swaths of the frontier. Their lust for living flesh, which they consider “meats,” leads them to attack hundreds of worlds. Defenseless settlers and the Jedi alike struggle to repel these horrifying plantlike creatures."
231 BBY: THE REPUBLIC FAIR
"Chancellor Lina Soh’s next Great Work is a magnificent fair on Valo. Meant to celebrate the Republic and its many achievements, the event turns into a tragedy. The Nihil mount a merciless raid on the fairgoers, destroy the event, and nearly kill the chancellor. The Jedi defenders mount a valiant defense but are outnumbered."
231 BBY: FIGHT FOR THE FRONTIER
"The Jedi march across the frontier as they seek justice for the attack on the Valo fair. With the Drengir threat seemingly settled, they turn their attention to the scattered Nihil forces. The Jedi believe that they are gaining the upper hand, but are unaware of who leads the raiders and their ultimate goal. The Nihil Tempest Runners bear the brunt of the assault while the Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro, prepares a new weapon to fight the Jedi."
"The Republic-Togruta Alliance is formed."
230 BBY: FALL OF STARLIGHT
"The Nameless wreak havoc among the Jedi, who fight valiantly in Starlight’s final moments. Master Estala Maru sacrifices his own life to delay the top half of the station from burning up in Eiram’s atmosphere. Below, Master Stellan Gios stays behind to ensure the lower portion will not strike a populated city on the planet’s surface."
"The Jedi recall their members to safety on Coruscant."
"The Republic readies a Defense Coalition fleet to strike at Nihil space. The Jedi, concerned that they cannot yet combat the Nameless, remain on Coruscant."
c.200 BBY:
"Births: Chewbacca— Wookiee hero and copilot born on Kashyyyk."
102 BBY:

SOURCES & NOTES:
Star Wars Timelines by Kristin Baver, Jason Fry, Cole Horton, Amy Richau, and Clayton Sandell is the primary source for much of this, anything in quotation marks is sourced from here unless otherwise noted. This timeline is only quoting a small minority of what's available in the book, so it's recommended that you check it out for yourselves!
I have done my best to put everything in order even within the specific years, noting where I'm not 100% sure of the sequence of events.
If a "c.[YEAR]" is included, the spot is estimated, not hard fact, but in general it's a pretty trustworthy placement! Except for birthdays--they're not placed directly on the timeline, so I just kind of threw them in at the end most times.
Observation: Holy crap, the Clone Wars was NUTS.
