My thoughts on the Playbill Character bios (Part 1):

Was gonna share my theory on Alastor's powers but since SOMETHING possibly leaked and put my theories and thoughts into question I'm putting it on hold for a bit.

Not gonna talk about each character because I don't have something to say for each one.

-Charlie: So THIS is how we find out she has mommy AND daddy issues. Good to know, good to know.

-Alastor: Either writing on a typewriter, glitched the writing somehow, left the caps lock on, or was screaming the entire interview. All fitting to his character. Also, glad to know my joke headcanon that his broadcasts in hell aren't really that scheduled and are whenever. Also he picks people who "wrong him" first to be his 'Guests' genuinely thought those could just be either random demons or ONLY Overlords. And of course, the dude is actively encouraging violence so he can have fun and ends his thing with a smile. :)

-Vaggie: So...Do all the exorcists have training for synchronized dancing? Would explain them doing that during Adam's song in Ep.1. But I'm curious if it's connected to why Vaggie is apparently the best dancer in the hotel or she just naturally is good at it.

-Husk: Why 'Husker'??? I thought it was just a random nickname Alastor made, is that his legit demon name and EVERYONE just shortens it? Also grouchy dude is grouchy. Little disappointed we didn't get another cool lore bomb from him.

-Sir Pentious: FINALLY AN ANSWER TO MY QUESTION!!! The dude is technically not an Overlord. Just wanted to be one or was just beginner level (little sad since he's been around before many of the actual other overlords, but makes sense. He's too nice for his own good). Worked for Carmilla and Vox, explaining why her daughters personally delivered him equipment (he's a former employee so they know it's safe to go in-person) AND why Vox knew of him enough to know he would do anything to join the Vees. I don't believe he made the Egg Boiz himself for the same reason I don't believe Vox beat Alastor in a fight. If it happened, you wouldn't repeat in emphasis. So for people who wanted Pent to have a past partnership with Baxter this is good evidence of that.

-Lucifer: "I miss my wife tails, I miss her so much". I would love to see him and the Sins actually perform on screen. Maybe for Sinsmas episode??? Please.

So let's just say that: Alpha trion had LOT of students from the years to come, when the first ever student of his came and died he become distraught, then another came in he tried NOT to to get attached to them but failed m i s r e b l e l y and Smokescreen came the same thing happened all over again when the deception came crash the archive, we all knew that he survived and Trion is dead.

But let's make a little difference: Smokescreen wasn't knocked out by Alpha as he dodge and have a little fight but right over it when Deceptions found them *just pretend that they hide before* and almost clapped them up.

Smokescreen grab Alpha's hand search and found an escape pod *pretend that there's a escape pod IN THE ARCHIVE* And telling Alpha to get inside the pod but Alpha refuses and little fight again then Smokescreen PUSHED Alpha into the Escape pod, closes it, and ta-da Alpha trion thinks that Smokescreen is dead as hell (but apparently not), and he grieved while he goes into stasis.

Smokescreen got nerved, brought into the Decepticon ship injured but alive, he escaped and the rest is history.

(Look I tried my best and it's somehow giving cringe things to me and my English is shit)

ANGST THE BOIS

o u g h just. For extra angst, what if Alpha Trion is found afterwards by the Autobots instead of just being launched off into the void. He sticks close to Optimus and helps plan and gives whatever knowledge he can..... but Smokescreen was the last student he ever took and bonded with. He closed himself off afterward and while he still interacted with people and gave guidance when needed, he was notably impersonal about it. He never let anyone get close on an emotional level out of fear of yet another bot dying. Hell, even Optimus wasn't completely immune to this treatment

Maybe to take it a step further, what if there were rumors about Trion's "curse." How the guy could never keep a guard for longer than a couple months, sometimes no more than a couple weeks, that they always died, usually via some kind of freak accident

God. Alpha Trion spending millions of years with barely any connection that isn't fleeting, keeping people at arm's reach and just going through the motions. Following Optimus to Earth because there's nothing else he can do...

and then Smokescreen is there

god how painful do you think these two meeting is going to be. For Trion it's been millenia since they last saw each other, he's mourned and accepted the loss but never truly moved on

but for Smokescreen? It's barely been a day

that's just my "I want THIS SPECIFIC WAY" of wishing an ED was and I got what I wanted in a way with everyone from the LoV having their moment to shine (from the current arc aside from Compress) - so Spinner, Toga, Dabi and Tomura all have that. IN BOTH ED and OP

Barbie as the Island Princess: First Thoughts

The intro gives me Little Mermaid vibes for some reason.

Man I know this is only five years from Rapunzel, but they really improved in the cgi! The designs look really pleasant!

Ok, the dolphins look a bit plasticy but still!

I’m glad they also have enough confidence to let the tale stand on it’s own without having to establish this is Barbie telling a story to her little sister.

Is it wrong that I’m shipping the peacock and panda? They feel like a middle aged/eldery gay couple and I love it.

Aww! Weeby was right! They totally are Barbie’s gay dads!

Yeesh… I do NOT like the elephant’s design. Why can I see her realistic human teeth? And those eyes!

Overall a very pleasant opening musical number that shows off the island.

Pleasant scene of Ro comforting Tikka during a nightmare.

This goodnight song is making my brain feel weepy.

I love how this is a male love interest who is full of life and isn’t afraid to be in touch with his feminine side. Love the bow on his ponytail.

I love how Antonio’s first instinct when approached by a crocodile is to risk reaching for a branch to put in its mouth.

OMIGOD SHE KNOWS THE ALLIGATORS NAMES!

I love how they go "aww" because they're sad they can't munch on him.

Wait a minute... one of the crocodiles is called Fang. Holy crap, this is the origin story of Jagged Stone’s pet!

I love how Azul found out he’s a prince and is immediately like “fuck this island, come on Sagi, let’s take Tikka and live it up!”

I'm loving the lyrics in this song about Ro being befuddled by Antonio's tech and clothes.

Gerard is a zaddy, not gonna lie.

I’m giggling like a fool at hearing Azul ranting and raving in peacockese.

I wonder if Barbie will try speaking to any of the land’s animals.

WTF is that thing the queen is holding? Is that a monkey or a very unfortunate looking baby?

The king looks pretty young, more like his late 20s instead of 40s. Honestly though, he’s really hot.

Queen Ariana is honestly not that bad looking at all. If I wasn’t gay, I’d find her kinda cute.

It’s nice that the rival love interest is actually a sweet girl. A good subversion of expectations.

The vocals of the villain song reminds me of ABBA. Which is always a good sign.

Great contrast between Ariana’s powerful belting and Luciana’s quiet tone.

Omigod I am loving Ariana’s lyrics in this song, diabolical and hilarious.

LOL AND HER RATS ARE DOING BACKUP CHOREOGRAPHY

Aww, the girls dressed Tikka up!

They really captured the awkward yet respectful dialogue between enforced couples with Antonio and Luciana.

The backing score for the ballroom dance is divine.

Get yourself a man who would abdicate from the throne just to be with you.

Ah, I see Tikka hid the letter, I assume due to attachment issues.

I feel like the Cheese song is kinda unneccessary. A few lines of dialogue would have got the message across.

I do find it kinda ridiculous that nobody can pick up on Ariana’s evil vibe.

Seems that traumatic events are the key to regaining Ro’s memories.

Dolphin ex Machina has arrived.

So this new queen is obviously Ro’s mom, right?

I feel like Ariana would’ve been smarter to not attempt poisoning Antonio and his family so that she can remain in her daughter’s good graces.

Luiciana saving Ro and proving her mother’s the criminal warms my heart.

Ok, I’m happy Ro and Antonio are together, but isn’t marriage rather quick?

Huh… the sudden reveal of Rosella being a princess all along kinda ruins the message of “Love doesn’t care about status”.

Overall, a massive step up from the previous films. The first two were decent flicks, but this one takes time to flesh out each and every character. Also the score was wonderful and I found the animation to be a pleasant upgrade. The ending was a bit of an ass-pull but a enjoyable film nonetheless. @artzychic27 @msweebyness @nerd-chocolate

I've only just delved into Dimension 20 like. Less than a month ago I think? And I'm already coming up with fic ideas. This is par for the course. Help.

The one that is currently torturing me is an AU where Kipperlilly's wish for one of her parents to die so she could have a Dramatic Adventurer Backstory™ causes a monkey's paw in Augefort's office to clench.

This directly leads to delaying Mr. Copperkettle, who was there to discuss the upcoming academic year, just a bit. This ends up having him walk by a certain door just in time to overhear at least one conversation he was not supposed to overhear (I haven't decided/don't know enough to decide whether that's VP Goldenhoard with someone, or Porter and Jace).

Unfortunately, Aguefort just warped away, and Mr. Copperkettle doesn't know who he should trust, so he gets in his car to drive to the police station. Even more unfortunately, he is one of the population that happened to pick up The Worst STD at some point along the line, so Kalina blocks his view and paralyzed his body, causing him to die in a car crash before he can spill the beans on what he saw and ruin many plans, all while making it look like an accident.

Kipperlilly got her wish. Her dad died in a dramatic fashion because he knew too much, and she has no idea.

Well, I'll give Kimi to Idol Precure this, while the Pink is cheerful and energetic, at least she doesn't come across like she has been overdosing on sugar. (Those type of leads are just exhausting)

There's loads of nods to older series, that was definitely a Heartcatch style trick for monster of the week, minus the educational nugget where everyone was going to be flower meaning experts by the end.

Ignoring the singing finisher and the Aikatsu Ichigo like appearance, the first ep almost suggests a back to basics but we'll see, if anything has been proven so far, you know what you're instore for by about ep 7.

Admittedly I haven't watched them but on the surface, if the movie is another cross over, surely it'd be Fresh or Suite judging by thematics.

(Not that it has to make sense, Delicious Party would have made more sense teaming up with Hirogaru and Wonderful due to the overlaying male members of the teams but obviously stuck in Mahou for the free advertising.)

I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl (Pilot) - My Two Cents

I realized why Eclipse's voice felt familiar. He reminds me of Hunter Owlhouse.

Wow this episode. I really loved P'Cir being sulky and jealous he is the cutest. Jealous of Jin, jealous of Achi when he has his arm around Phu's shoulder.

I'm not sure how I feel about Jin being an actual mind reader, I sort of liked that he was just super observant about everything. What did he mean Cir of all people is he implying that Cir has a similar ability and that's how he knows all about Phu or is he implying that because Cir now knows that things exist outside the everyday natural world? Hmm. I don't know either this is new to the series.

I have been dying to say it since last week and now I finally can that it's not a spoiler anymore. Fuck Cir's mother. Fuck her to hell where she belongs. I hate her so much and her dog servant too. Madam that is your son you are talking about not a dog (not that I would want her so much as caring for a dog).

Poor Phu feeling isolated and just wanting someone to hug him. We didn't get the NC scene from the book here but I'm kind of glad I like the tenderness more.

Ah we get the first mention of Zone, I love and adore Zone and I hope we get to meet him soon. All in all another great episode.

I'm surprised to see the guy from Riverdale can act. Or perhaps I'm just snobbish, but it was an interesting surprise, especially when there's Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore in the combination.

I don't recall watching anything similar lately, a 30 something year old man who is mentally and emotionally stuck at 13 (because of trauma) and not be depicted as some man child, but as someone deeply troubled. That quick scene with Portman when she tells him "this is what adults do" was pitiful, but it also showed how stuck he was. He viewed the entire thing through the perspective of a boy with a crush and it was deeply uncomfortable, but it worked as a trigger.

I do like melodramas, especially old Hollywood and those Douglas Sirk films and May December falls into the genre, although aesthetically is far from the Sirk signature. But it does use elements, from using a focal point on nature and having the butterfly finally out of the cocoon as a metaphor, the dramatic music always there to emphasize the anguish, to the over the top zoom in on Julianne Moore's face, creating this eerie feeling throughout the film.

Transformers EarthSpark

First, I'm really glad I finally got to enjoy the first part of Season 2. I didn't have Internet when it was released.

I feel as though some explanation as to why Starscream decided to stop co-operating with the Maltos would have been good – was he running a long con from the beginning? Was he merely angry that they continue to be so friendly and forgiving with Megatron? Is he simply unable to trust and feel safe around humans after Mandroid and Croft? Is it a combination? It feels as though it was glossed over.

On the whole, I enjoyed it very much. I love G1 and that has a lot happen for ~ missing missing reasons ~ too. This is a kids' show – cut it some slack. I do and it means I get to have a lot of fun without worrying too much.

At the moment, the new house is undergoing building work. Lots of building work. The TV is disconnected and buried under a dust sheet, as are the Sky box, PC, router, etc. – when I can, I plan to sit down with a notebook and go over the episodes, this time recording what I think and feel. Right now, I don't have that luxury and binged them quick while I had the chance.

I loved JBAM though. Haha! Jawbreaker can be annoying, but he is also very cute. I'm also glad that the episode involving a rampaging mutant bear in the previous series was addressed – I disliked that one because of the lack of explanation and context. It had felt to me as though it had been randomly tossed in there. Now that it makes more sense, I'll enjoy it better.

The episode with the contest, which gave some insight into Cybertronian history and traditions was awesome too – I love that Megatron went easy on the Maltos because they're humans and kids, while Optimus seemed unhappy that it wasn't the traditional contest to the death.

The build-up to the action went a little bit wrong on my end, because Paramount+ put the episode about OP's trailer up as episode 10. If that hadn't happened, it would have been much more effective.

Coming back to the trailer episode... I enjoyed the humour. Jawbreaker's endless stream of questions and the foot massage, Robby's constant worrying about the extra work inflicted on him by the Decepticons' antics and Optimus's sneeze, which set his horn off. The mischief that a tiny bit of pine sap can cause...

As I say, I've only seen each episode once and the environment I was watching in was quite distracting, so I expect I'll find more to say later. Not sure when that will be, though, so I wanted to put something out there now.

so AU where Smokescreen and Trion managed to escape to Earth together

like. instead of just killing him, the Cons brought Trion aboard the same prison ship Smokescreen was, and when he escaped and was looking around, he found his mentor and set him free as well and they jammed themselves in the same escape pod as best they could because splitting up is basically a death sentence at this point and yeet off to Earth

I'll admit, I'm not 100% sure where this story would go, however I think it would be fun to deal with the possible conflict Smokescreen's loyalty to Trion could bring

cuz like. On one hand, this is the opportunity he’s been wanting for so long. A chance to actually fight instead of being forced to hang back behind everyone else……. But on the other hand, he genuinely does love and respect Alpha Trion, and the thought of abandoning him after everything seems just wrong, plus he’s still technically under orders to defend the guy

I also think it would be fun for Trion to slowly start nudging Smokey to Be Able To Do His Own Thing, only for this to somewhat backfire when the Cons find the base and he decides to bolt through the Groundbridge to rescue Optimus

I did my initial thoughts of all the #TTPD #TTPDTheAnthology songs when it was released, but I just kept it in my notes. Well, until now. I want to share them with the world and it feels right to start my first blog post (apart from my intro post) with something I've loved for so long - with none other than taylor

It's already been a month since ttpd dropped and the songs from this bunch that stucked with me the most are definitely Down Bad, BDILH, Florida!!!, Guilty As Sin, loml, ICDWABH and The Alchemy.

Barbie as Rapunzel: First Thoughts

The following is my thoughts while watching this for the first time.

Wow, already an upgrade in the shading and lighting judging by this intro alone.

And the CGI looks better too! Nice casual outfit Barbie’s got on.

I assume each special will start out with Barbie reassuring Kelly about something? Hope this doesn’t get stale soon.

Already this special feels like it has an upgraded sense of scale.

Ooh so instead of a tower, it’s a mansion protected by a magic barrier. That’s… actually pretty cool! A nice change from the original, even if the home seems pretty modern looking on the outside.

I find it humorous that the name of one of the coolest Spidermen ever is also the name of a cockney rabbit sidekick.

A sweet and colorful dragon portrayed by Cree Summer? I’m getting flashbacks to Sonic: SATAM.

Peneople looks like if a Dragon Tales character was in an early PS2 game and I like it. She’s so cute!

Remember how I joked about Disney copyright last time? Seems like Rapunzel did the idea of Gothel being an attractive witch first.

Ok this entrance of Gothel riding through the forest is way more metal than Tangled.

Interesting how this Rapunzel calls Gothel “m’lady” instead of “mother”.

Speaking of Disney, Gothel’s design reminds me a lot of Lady Tremaine.

The ferret sounds VERY fruity.

Man Hobie straight up wants Gothel to die. Pretty dark for a Barbie movie.

I find it funny that shenanigans with a tea set caused a secret entrance to be found.

Lol, I can relate to Penelope’s hatred of snakes.

The plot thickens as we see Rapunzel discovering a message from her real parents way earlier than in Tangled.

Heh, the ferret uses it’s tail as a sleeping mask for Gothel.

Once again, a new room discovered via accident.

Wow and she’s already out of the tower and discovered the kingdom. This thing’s going along fast!

Why is seeing the chef in his comically large hat standing in one spot with a goofy smile on his face causing me to mentally cackle like a loon?

Punzie, the cook wasn’t trying to poison you. It’s just a free sample.

I LOVE the “rabbit’s ear as a radio antenna” gag!

Wait, Penelope has a dad?

Looks like both Penelope and Rapunzel have parental issues.

I can relate to Penelope’s fear of heights. It’s ok, honey, we can curl up into a fetal position together.

Hobie: “Does he ever smile?” Penelope: “Not around me”. God my heart just broke into a million pieces at that line. Why does this hurt more than anything Gothel says to Rapunzel?

It’ll never not be odd to see all of these children with the same face.

The Prince looks just like the one from the Nutcracker. I wonder if that’s intentional?

Of course the kings are too stubborn to hash things out. As a result, you get death traps like that pit.

I love the way Otto pronounces “vill-oge”. Hilarious.

Nice showing of both Rapunzel reporting her day to her friends and Otto ratting her out to Gothel at the same time.

Damn, Gothel using her magic to destroy Rapunzel’s paintings of Penelope is cold! Honestly this Gothel seems a lot more menacing and realistic than the Disney version.

I like how this Rapunzel is not only selfless but also has a backbone.

Trippy visuals with Gothel making the house literally grow.

As Hugo was assigned by Gothel to guard the castle, all he could think was “fuck my life”.

Hang on, the little blond boy’s name is Tommy? Wasn’t that the name of the younger brother in Nutcracker?

This boy’s got the “Phantom Menace Anakin” haircut and the personality. Brings back memories of the Prequels. Poor Jake Lloyd…

I like the fact that Stefan and Tommy have the same relationship going on that Barbie and Kelly do IRL

How on earth did the prince find the tower? Isn’t it in the middle of nowhere?

Apparently he “searched everywhere”, but it would probably take ages to go around the entire kingdom. I feel like it’d have been better if maybe one of Rapunzel’s animal friends had been followed by him.

Oh, wait. It was a dream! Ok, that makes more sense. Once again, I should have not underestimated the intelligence of the writers.

Headcanon: (Unless Penelope's mom shows up) Hugo's ex-wife is the dragon from Shrek and they share custody of Penelope. Hugo really hates donkeys now.

Holy crap, this is a beautiful melody Penelope is singing.

The knights remind me of Bert and Ernie. I’ve always loved that dynamic.

The mental paintbrush is a really cool idea. More properties should use it.

Rapunzel straight up saying she’d rather be dead than be a prisoner. Respect.

See, now is Stefan tired and exhausted from actually looking everywhere.

Maybe Rapunzel doesn’t want to know Stefan’s name in case it’s a dream or so that she won’t hurt as much if she loses him.

Once again, we have a prince not telling Barbie’s character he’s royalty.

It saddens me to know that the silversmith is unable to visit or speak to his brother due to the ban on Wilhelm’s kingdom. It’s a realistic worry.

Now we’re getting elements of Cinderella with the masked ball. Once again, connections since Gothel reminds me of Tremaine.

Hobie, I don’t think that Gothel is going to care if you’re in pain. Woman’s a total sadist.

Did Otto just orgasm?

The paintbrush really is OP. It can make clothes!

The mystical music is funny because right now, they’re doing the “girl tries on new clothes” montage.

Eh the final dress is ok, but I actually think the first “simple” one looked the best.

Funny how in Tangled, Rapunzel's hair gets cut by Eugene to stop Gothel. Here, Rapunzel's hair gets cut by Gothel instead.

Gothel, maybe don’t piss off the big strong dragon who has been willingly helping you?

Now we’re finally seeing King Wilhelm. I wish we got some more of him earlier.

Ok, Gothel has to have some sort of spell activated because how the hell did Stefan not think “why does your face look so different?”.

Love to see Penelope call her dad out on his bullshit, and get through to his softer side.

Nice to see her get some love from her dad after all this time.

WOO! Tommy used his bow and arrow to save his big bro! Kid’s got guts.

And now the little children pelt her with fruit!

Really impressive sword choreography for a Barbie movie.

So Gothel just stole Rapunzel from Wilhelm because she hated being in the friend-zone. Ridiculously petty.

And Rapunzel STILL offers forgiveness to Gothel! She truly is an angel.

Honestly, the fact that this Gothel is trapped inside the tower due to her own spell for all eternity is WAY more of a scary way to go then falling out of the tower like Disney’s Gothel did.

What a wonderful ending! Seeing everyone reunited and hearing that wonderful credits score gave me such a smile.

Touhou AU where Reimu is an orphan from the Outside World who was pulled into Gensokyo because there were literally no Hakureis left in Gensokyo. Bonus points if she knew Sanae before getting abducted.

So I watched the first two episodes of Eva for the first time, and I liked it way more than I thought i would. However there's two main things that stayed with me.

One, while I have mixed feelings of every feminine male being labeled as trans, Shinji definitely gives me the vibes he'd be happier in a skirt.

And 2, these two definitely give me the vibe of toxic lesbians who have been married for ages and hate each other but also love each other and just need to go to couples therapy.
