[One tendency], common to Suárez and other theologians, consists in limiting the notion of redemption to that of "liberation from sin." Suárez declares this in an absolute principle: "Nullus redimitur nisi is qui sub peccato servit" [No one is redeemed except he who is enslaved by sin]. From these premises he is forced to conclude: (a) the angels were not redeemed by Christ; and (b) that the redemption, sensu concreto, necessarily presupposes sin and was willed "after" it, just as medicine presupposes an illness. [...] For Belluti, on the contrary, to redeem (at least in the broad sense) is fundamentally equivalent to raising someone to the supernatural state. This is the basic concept of redemption. It may be implemented either by liberating a finite freedom from the fallibility which is connatural to it precisely as finite [via praeservationis], or by liberating it from a fall that has already occurred. But the two modalities are accidental and do not change the essence of the liberation.

TOMSLAND'S FC MASTERLIST
Aloha! He decidido hacer este FC Masterlist en lugar de una muse page porque durante 10 años de rol tuve más niños que una guardería. A continuación encontrarán faceclaims que he roleado/roleo/me gustaría rolear. Los escritos en negrita son personajes ya creados y el icono de estrella señala a mis musas principales, pero siéntanse libre de pedirme a quién sea que tengan como wanted opposite porque me abundan las ganas de rolearlos a todos.

OK, because my El Internado rewatch rekindled my Julia x Ivan love, I went and peeked at the end of Cable Girls, the other show Yon Gonzalez and Blanca Suarez starred in.
I watched the first season way back when it came out but peaced out after that because the story didn’t really click with me at all and they weren’t giving me the ship I wanted (I wanted Lidia with Francisco and they were going for Lidia x Carlos at the time.) Despite my desire to see Yon and Blanca re-paired that wouldn’t have been a deal breaker if I enjoyed the show itself but since I didn’t, potential ship was the one thing I had going and once it looked like it was not happening, my interest evaporated. (Side note - I enjoy plenty of shows Netflix buys which were already made but whatever reason I have never been able to enjoy any show actually made by Netflix, including their kdramas and Turkish shows and Spanish ones. I can’t put my finger on it, but there is something about their stamp that really doesn’t work for me.)
Anyway, I peaced out after s1 and never looked back until now peeking at the end of the last season - s5. I was spoiled on general terms but still gotta say it was like a whole other show - when I bailed it was a fairly frothy take on period times with some feminist and glamour overtones, think Velvet set a few decades earlier. And then I am checking out the series finale and the women are fighting and being imprisoned by fascists! Carlos gets executed by fascists with point blank shot to the head! Francisco has to leave instead of trying to die with her to take care of Lidia’s two daughters! Then women do prison break and are off to a happy future and Lidia x Francisco finally have a chance at a HEA! Only psych the bad guys catch up and the women all get shot! Including of course Lidia! As anguished Francisco is left behind since once again - children!
I still have no interest in watching the show properly (if someone made a Lidia x Francisco cut, I would watch that I suppose), but (a) as a Lidia x Francisco shipper, I love the writer giving me the ship I wanted in the worst possible way (yes they are end game! Literally!) and (b) the tonal shift is worthy of a cdrama! It’s like going from Love In a Cold Climate to a gender-swapped For Whom the Bell Tolls!!!!
😂😂😂
PS the real act of emotional cruelty in this show was Francisco’s mustache at the end. Is it period appropriate for 1930s? Yes. Is it a punishment for the viewer nonetheless? Oh hell yeah!

An interesting look at a criminal organization no necessarily organized, a raw slice of life piece if independent structure and I feel well paced for it’s low budget. I recommend to see.
