“You are lovely,” Draco says into Harry’s mouth. “Do you know what? We should get married.”

“I was thinking the same thing!” Harry takes Draco’s face in his hands and kisses him one more time. “How about this weekend?”

“How about we do it in the Cotswolds?”

“How about…at a weird manor house with a bunch of cottages to let?”

“Yes.” Draco nods solemnly. “I think that would be perfect.”

Harry’s heart leaps, fluttering about like a bird. “Me, too.”

Draco takes his hand, kisses all Harry’s knuckles, then twines their fingers together and squeezes. “Come, darling. It’s time to see how the world looks on our wedding day.”

Harry’s lying on top of the covers in his pants, staring at the ceiling and thinking about the sweet release of Dreamless Sleep, when the front door of his cottage opens.

It’s about a hundred times as loud in the middle of the night, and he springs upward, clutching the comforter to his chest like a Victorian lady. Harry’s on top of it, so it barely covers his prick, and he’s in the midst of remembering that Draco saw him sulk around his cottage wearing only the duvet when Draco bursts into the bedroom, breathing hard.

“What a day for a swim,” he pants.

“Draco.” Harry’s heart pounds so hard he thinks it’ll give out. “It’s the middle of the bloody night.”

“I can’t sleep. You can’t sleep. Come on, Potter. Let’s swim.”

“Yes,” says Harry. He gets out of bed and pulls on a vest, then finds his shoes and glasses, then goes out to the sitting room, where Draco is tapping his foot, fast and irritated.

Through the leaves, the sky glitters with stars. Crickets shriek in the woods around them. Harry has to rush to keep up with Draco’s long strides.

They follow the path out of the trees and over the hills, then past a car park and another wood. They pass a bigger cottage and the mill pond.

“Finally,” Draco says as they pass another clutch of trees. “The swimming lake.”

He takes them all the way ’round to the far side, where there’s a little dock. Draco marches right to the end and strips his shirt over his head without so much as a shall we get naked, Potter? 

Harry freezes.

You loved those two little, cottage core amphibians like they were your lifeline, checked out all the books when you were a kid at the library, you had the claymation burned on dvd by your cousin, a little keychain on your bag, and a small framed picture on the walls of your bathroom.

So of course you’d spent your rare day off, lounging in the living room, in a oversized green hoodie, watching Frog & Toad. It comforted you, giving you that warm comfy feeling.

Johnny plops himself down on his end of the couch, getting comfortable as Toad bangs his head against the wall trying to think of a good story to tell, “Isn’t this a bit childish?” He asks, raising an eyebrow.

You blinked, the butterflies of embarrassment rising in the bit of your stomach. You didn’t react though, just grabbed the remote and changed the channel before setting it on the coffee table. Lips in a thin line, biting the inside of your mouth. You two sat in silence, you barely even noticing what your vision was taking into your brain. You didn’t even realize your eyes were glossy and face was wet with tears.

Johnny quickly notices though, regret filling him to the brim— “Hey-“

“—I’m sorry. I’m bein childish.” You hiccuped, quickly standing and wiping off your tears, “I’m makin you uncomfortable.” You tired to run off to your room, knowing at least there, no one would tease you about watching something like this. But the older guy grabs your wrist just enough to get you to look back at him.

“No Bonnie, I just— ’s my fault, thought I’d tease ya a bit but it just made ya upset. I was daft, yeah? ‘M sorry bunny. I love your show.”

You sniff, “You don’t have to make up for it. I’m fine.”

“Not makin it up lass,” he quickly gets up from his seat, leaving you with a pout on your lips. He comes back, a little keychain in hand— a crochet Frog.

You fidget with your fingers where you stand, another sniffle, “What’s that about?”

“Well, some old lady was sellin ‘em the market, thought I’d get one t’remind me ‘f ye.” He can’t help the red tint that shows on his cheeks. The keychain was more than cute, and Johnny, was being more than cute.

“ ‘M sorry, Bon. Truly. Let’s watch yer show, together yeah,” he suggests, sitting down on the couch, arms wide. One side of his lips curve up, “know ye want t’cuddle swee’art, come on, just a bit.”

You rolls your eyes, wiping your eyes and caving. You squeak out, ever so cutely, “Just a bit.”

You practically throw yourself in the brutes big arms, nuzzling your head in his chest while he holds you close.

That warm, cozy feeling growing even more with each second you spend time together.

a/n: for my girls who’s comfort show is deemed “for kids” but still so enjoyable for every age. Realizing this is kinda shit after posting it😀

All my RM redesigns so far yay

Some design notes under the cut

Gemini: Pretty basic, changed his palette slightly to make him a bit more icy/crystal looking, semi inspired by his stage, included some references to the star sign symbol.

Nitro: Went off some of his concept art and added some details based off a motorbike racer suit.

Burner: Again, similar, a lot of my designs for this au are to make the characters easier for me to draw whilst staying identifiable, the little metre on his chest is based on an Australian bush fire warning sign.

Centaur: One of the most heavily altered, I based his palette off oxidised Ancient Greek armour and changed his shape a bit to reflect that aesthetic more.

Star: Gave him some shooting star details, not much else except for making his chest armour a little bit smaller.

Pharaoh: Gave him some malachite details.

Shadow: His armour looks the most like clothing out of all the robot masters due to the way Wily’s alterations worked, he only has four fingers on each hand and is the only robot master with visible skin that isn’t a natural colour (not counting characters like Nitro and Guts)

Toad: Probably the most different of all of the designs so far, I have her warm toned colours and bumps on her armour to make her more toad rather than frog like, the eyes on her helmet are actually floodlights.

Top: His pose and proportions are based on a ballet dancer, the panels on his arms are boosters to make him spin faster, his eyes are a spiral instead of a complete oval.

Splash: Mostly just some little alterations to make her a bite more cohesive in my style, her tail ends with a small rudder to help her move faster in the water.

Chill: Honestly I just wanted to incorporate some of the cool stuff from his concept art so I started from there and worked my way out.

Clown: Went with more of a jester vibe for him because it was hard to find proper clown references, tried to go with a cuter sort of look to take away from some of the creepiness he’s associated with.

And finally, Magnet, who had to have his own background because the grey I used for everyone else didn’t work for him and I’m too tired to go back and change it:

I swapped his red for white to give a bit more balance to his red and blue accents, and tried to give him a very professional, put together look with the magnet on his neck mimicking a collar and sort of making him look like he’s wearing a doctor coat or a button up.

Oki that’s most of the stuff I wanted to mention I’m sure I forgot some but ah well thank you for reading my rambling
