Was writing chapter 2 of how we’ve twisted the story and was describing calamity shi qingxuan(they dont really get involved much in the actual fic unfortunately) and thought:

ok but imagine hua cheng and shi qingxuan just bonding over a their both ever shifting forms, reluctant gender none conforming besties hua hua and wind master??

Yes this was also inspired by kictors newest video where they said hua cheng would get shi qingxuan a bit more than xie lian would- and yes i would love some art or a fic or anything

Sometimes I get spam messages about other people's bank debts or wrong messages from people with phone numbers similar to mine. Imagine getting a flood of messages that get increasingly more desperate of someone asking for help, you try to block it thinking it might be a prank but the messages keep on coming. You try to answer, but your messages all turn into weird glitches and the person's situation gets worse. They call and you hear them scream and beg YOU to stop, but when you answer they can't hear you. You block the number again, the call comes anyway. There's now pictures of the person in your gallery that look incredibly disturbing even though they are really blurry. You turn off your phone, the calls still come. You get rid of it, it shows up again wherever you are. You can't sleep, every call just gets more terrifying than the last, they get more insistent every time you ignore it and more gruesome every time you interact. You are both a victim of the horror and a spectator, perhaps even the cause of it.

oh you're in a horror film/book and your phone died/has no bars? how boring. I think phones in horror SHOULD work. they should ding only to have the protagonist check and find nothing. they should get calls from somebody you don't know but is still somehow in your contacts. google maps should lead you to one place, no matter what address you type in.

phones are such a big part of our daily lives, removing them from horror removes the horror from our experience. what if the horror felt like it could happen to you, right here, right now? what if it felt like it was already happening?

Honestly, that would be a fun pair of characters as part of a group in a larger story. How much can the genie do under thier own steam for a friend? How much are they willing to do? Is there always the risk of kiddo useing the last two wishes, therefore sending genie back into thier container until someone else picks it up?

Seriously fun powers and character arch possibilities here.

The genie was used to stupid humans wishing for things like fame and fortune without considering the possible consequences. What it didn’t expect was for the lonely child who was its latest ‘master’ to wish for the genie to be their friend

The song was originally written by Ashman and Menken to be sung by the enchanted objects to Maurice instead of Belle. However, story artist Bruce Woodside felt that the song would make more sense if it was sung to Belle, the main character, as opposed to secondary character Maurice, and directors Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale agreed.
