The Sims 4 Announces Two New Kits: “Storybook Nursery” and “Artist Studio”
Following a leak earlier this week, EA has just officially announced two new kits for The Sims 4. Both had already been confirmed on the latest roadmap.
The Storybook Nursery Kit was developed in collaboration with CC creator @SixamCC. As its name suggests, it brings a whole new look to infants and toddlers bedrooms, including a changing table and a playmat (both had previously only been available on the Growing Together expansion pack).
And as for the Artist Studio Kit, there are several different options for you to build a creative space. And, for the first time in ten years, we finally get another woodworking table.

CTS B | Week 6 Critical Self-Reflectivity.

In the sixth week of training, our group visited Sim Lim Square to analyze design problems and find ways to improve solutions proposed by previous designeFrs. During this event, we identified one of the pronounced problems in navigating the mall. It consisted in the lack of development of information transfer technologies, such as interactive maps and logical location of stores, as well as in excessive design overload, where a person could quickly get confused.
During this lesson, it occurred to me that the mall did not provide equipment for convenient and understandable movement of people with disabilities (Figure 1).
As a designer, I can say that this problem goes far beyond a single shopping mall. In the digital world, we face similar challenges when creating interfaces. Designers often do not take into account the needs of users with various disabilities, such as visual, hearing, or motor impairments. This leads to the creation of digital products that are not truly inclusive and accessible to all users (Figure 2).
Therefore, after deep reflection and analysis of my professional activity, I came to realize that my previous projects in the field of web design do not fully meet modern accessibility standards for users with disabilities. This moment of self-criticism was an important incentive for me to rethink my design approaches and strive to create more versatile and accessible digital products in the future.

Apart from BBM, WhatsApp is starting to gain popularity with its simple interface and ability to work on multiple platforms, including Android and iOS.
Apart from that, Line remains popular with its special features, such as cute and creative stickers, as well as the Line Today feature which provides news and information.
2020s: WhatsApp Domination and the Emergence of Alternative Platforms
Entering the 2020s, WhatsApp has become the most dominant IM application in Indonesia. Ease of use, security with end-to-end encryption, and voice and video calling features make it a top choice. However, several emerging privacy issues have caused some users to look for alternatives such as Telegram and Signal, which offer higher security.
Apart from that, Line remains popular with its special features, such as cute and creative stickers, as well as the Line Today feature which provides news and information.
Year 2024: Trends and the Future
Until August 2024, communication trends in Indonesia show a shift towards applications that offer more than just text messages. On May 29, 2024, our team, PowerpuffX, presented our final pitch for CaféComfy, an innovative mobile app designed to help users find and reserve study and work spots in Cagayan de Oro. This experience taught us the importance of thorough preparation, teamwork, and learning from expert feedback.

We dedicated extensive time to preparing our pitch. Our research included understanding the needs of our target users—students and remote workers—and potential business partners like coffee shop owners. This preparation ensured that we could present a well-rounded, data-driven solution. From detailed user interviews to analyzing market data, our groundwork enabled us to confidently demonstrate the value and functionality of CaféComfy.

Although I wasn't the primary pitcher, I learned a lot from being part of the preparation and presentation process. The experience taught me the importance of clear communication and anticipating potential questions from the panel. Our adviser's compliments on the attractiveness and quality of our presentation were especially encouraging, highlighting the effectiveness of our hard work and preparation.

Experiencing the startup process as students was a fantastic opportunity. We learned about the various aspects of launching a product, from idea generation to pitching to a panel. This hands-on experience taught us valuable lessons in entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and resilience. We learned to think critically about our product, market fit, and user experience.
