Game structure draft 4

Opening Sequence – The Setup (First Playthrough)

The game starts in Ronan’s apartment, a run-down cyberpunk loft cluttered with remnants of his past—old tech, broken guns, scattered photos of his mother, June Vail.

A news report plays on a glitchy holo-screen: “Phantom Syndicate suspected in recent abductions…” (Foreshadowing).

Call from Viktor Slone:

He’s got Ronan’s mother.

Demands 250,000 credits in 8 hours.

Failure means death.

The objective is clear: Ronan has to pull jobs, make connections, and get that ransom money.

Main Gameplay Loop (First Playthrough)

Heist #1 – The Data Snatch

Ronan meets Cipher, a black-market hacker from Ghostlink, an underground network fighting against NEXUS.

Job: Steal corporate memory shards from a NEXUS lab.

The lab is eerily empty, aside from flickering lights and distorted audio logs about memory experiments. (First hint that something is off.)

Ronan gets the data, but security footage shows… himself already there before. (Player is confused but brushes it off.)

High profile individual

Cypher again talks about this high profile individual that we need to steal from

MC sneaks into his apartment, incapacitates him and takes the shard

During exit, player is just allowed to walk through the lobby even being acknowledged by the staff, meaning they know him.

3. The Final Job – Rushing into VIktors

Ronan goes all-in with a job infiltrating viktors hideout.

player can choose the direction in which they want to complete the mission

Once he gets to the room which he thinks the mother is being held at, he sees it completely barren, empty and eiree, it cuts to a cut scene where a figure appears from the shadow and it cuts to a loud gunshot.

First Playthrough Ending – The Failure

Game cuts to a funeral scene—Revealing it was all a dream of a boy whos lost his mother. And is now at a funeral

Screen cuts to black. Game resets. Giving the player an option of "trying again"

Second Playthrough – The Cracks Appear

Game restarts exactly the same.

This time, subtle changes:

NPCs repeat dialogue from the last run, but slightly… off.

Street signs glitch, flickering between Kyosei-9 and something unreadable.

Ronan has brief visions of his younger self.

The Krypt appears, whispering cryptic things: “Hope is a funny thing, isn’t it?”

Gameplay loop happens again, but now:

People recognize Ronan before he meets them.

He sees his mother… in places she shouldn’t be in.

All NPCs look at you like u r crazy.

Same mission set Final mission when he opens the room: he sees mutiple versions of himself suspended, their brains connected to machines. And cuts to cutscene.

Second Playthrough Ending – The Mind-Break

Truth Reveal:

The cutscene cuts to real life where the mother is alive, the player is living through fond memories until it cuts to him holding her grave, and the final cutscene plays out

Player is given a final choice:

Break the cycle (End the game, move on.)

Deny reality (Loop forever.)

"The how doesn't matter." Rhea spoke, raising an eyebrow when she saw the other panic quite a bit. Holding up a hand, she spoke in her usual apathetic tone. No real spark, but no real tension either. "Relax, I won't get you reported. If I wanted to do so, why would I tell you I am a hacker as well?"

Still she could see why that reaction, Futaba seemed rather young to say the least. Of course that didn't mean she couldn't be experienced, Rhea had met children far younger that were more talented than herself.

"I digress." She put the futuristic tech on the table, explaining what it can do. "It's a Ghostlink Drive. " It was rather small and only about the size of a lighter. "It allows you to bypass most encrypted systems, automated security and locked terminals." And she opened it with a quiet click, revealing a retractable universal port and a micro-threaded data spike. "Once connected, the drive runs a custom suite of silent override protocols, signal spoofers and adaptive brute-force scripts. Some of those I personally tweaked over the years to make them better."

"It doesn't trip alarms, leave any lgos and most systems don't even realize they've been accessed, if at all." That should be enough explanation. "You decide the price yourself, i'll even be fine with some food."

Her heart was pounding a mile a minute and she was just trying to relax. Now her anxiety was skyrocketing because she was already being seen as a hacker when-

No, it's fine. This could be useful.

"Ah- um. I'll, uh... I'll buy, please! D-do you take... do you take Japanese Yen?" She holds up a bill. "...I-I have a credit card!"

So um, I didn't really see any Canon Calls here and what I'm looking for isn't really a "Canon" Call... But I've been trying to figure out lots of stuff lately and I'd really love to get in touch with a ghost-hearted/ghost-link (I'm still not really sure which one I might be) or someone similar

Introduction:

Howdy, dear reader! I'm your host, Glagger, and today I'm here to present you the master post containing all installments of my medal analysis series for Password the Visual Novel.

This is a long running passion project that has been in the works since after path P dropped to the public in full. The prime (ha) goal of it, is to discuss and analyze in-depth the astrological theme used in Password.

Each of its parts contains a full analysis dedicated to each medal and its associated character, where I attempt to show how the astrological meanings and connections enrich the writing of the game. There's also a few intermissions where I discuss interesting parallels between certain medals and their characters.
