I didn’t put Swap Eclipse bc he would technically have the same birthday as Sun & Moon

And I put Solar bc technically he and Eclipse would have the same birthday.

I may or may not have based aspects of his design off of SandWings from wings of fire cuz they’re very cool and perdy *cough*

About time we had a look underneath the armour too. Dude doesn't like to be undressed tho, makes him feel vulnerable despite being a god and all that.

I just like doing the shading style for this, is fun.

You ever think about Lunara and God Eclipse, and the way they parallel each other??

The fact that God Eclipse created a new, perfect, pristine world?

The fact, that he is utterly bored with it?

The fact that Lunara turned their existing world into one of chaos and destruction?

The fact, that they seem to ravel in it?

The fact that Eclipse, perfect and calculated Eclipse, wishes for the excitement Lunar could've brought him, the excitemt Lunara has?

The fact that Lunara despises to even hear Eclipse's name, yet has become him, even agreeing with him?

The fact, that God Eclipse lives isolated in a giant castle inside his peaceful world, with only Sun to keep him company, while Lunara lives in a small, broken church, where they demand to be worshipped and prayed to in exchange for the remaining humans' lives, not caring for actual companionship?

The fact, that Lunara looks like how they are meant to look like, similar to Moon, while God Eclipse build himself a completely new body, that completely disconnects him from Sun and Moon?

The fact that they speak with such destain for their respective Lunar and Eclipse, yet still hold them close in a weird way? God Eclipse longing for Lunar's chaos, and Lunara, instead of wanting to be different than Eclipse, wants to be a "better" him?

Because I do. God, I think about it way too much.

Chaotic Evil Duo?

You know what would be a fun episode in TSAMS? Evil Lunar having to travel different dimensions trying to find a new place to live due to him causing his world to end from abuse of the star. Would be even funnier if they ended up in God/lord Eclipse's dimension. Since that Eclipse to an extent misses his Lunar (I believe this since he tried to convince moon to give him Lunar when they originally met). Evil Lunar hates Eclipse, but likes to taunt around and fuck with god, to which God/lord Eclipse snip snaps a lot but won't kill that Lunar cause secretly he likes the company and in a way having his baby brother back. Would be such a toxic yet iconic duo of the sillys. Evil Lunar despite not having his star anymore would still be acting like he's invincible (god Eclipse sometimes makes the stuff lunar tries to summon into existence and makes Lunar think he did it)

So I was inspired to want to draw Eclipse's newest design from TSAMS, but as I started drawing, I started thinking about Eclipse being a God, and this happened. Now I'm thinking of making an AU. But yeah, this took me a few nights to do.

After a few months of this weighing in the back of my mind I finally figured out what to do with it.

The was inspired by the Sun & Moon Show episode where we see God Eclipse and servant Sun. That combined with personal art therapy brought to life the sketch.

The original idea didn’t pan out, but every time I scrolled through my files or one of you lovelies stumbled on my tumblr post of the sketch, I was reminded of this sad sad Sun. Glad to properly finish him and put the idea to rest.

I saw you made a god Eclipse that you might turn into an au, do you have any ideas to share? (even if you may or may not stick with those ideas)?

No pressure, just genuinely curious

Yeah! I have a few lil concept things I wrote down when trying to figure out his design, there’s isn’t much but I’ll share what I have at least

Because of the nature of the eclipse, I wanted god Eclipse to be a very elusive and mysterious god, only ever making an appearance to his followers every few years during a total eclipse

He is the “middle child” of the gods and is both one of the most overlooked and one of the most feared at the same time due to the mystery surrounding him (and I was basing this off of ancient peoples’s beliefs that the eclipse was an omen of something bad or something of evil)

Due to his design being based off a SandWing I was thinking about making whatever temple or place of worship that was created for him be in some kind of desert

I’m not entirely sure what direction I want to take with his character but I want to try and make him a complex and maybe even confusing character, like a sort of guessing game as to who he really is if that makes any sense???

I have vague ideas for a storyline for this au though I’m still debating on what direction I want to take it in though I definitely think it’s gonna become an au because I really like it as a concept (I love god aus sm)

Character study, aka rewatching old God Eclipse episodes and using quotes as prompts just to draw my Servant Sun and God Eclipse designs some more while figuring them out.

Purposely using the more @witchysolfan style of drawing old Moon to differ against Servant Sun to really show they are of different dimensions.
