drawings of my second favourite polycule and their son once again inspired by @rhymeswithchronic's mercy for the lamb series! (cropped individual designs under the cut + design notes)

all of these designs are made with details that are included in chronic's mercy for the lamb fic, so the matching jewelery that the polykour trio and boey have are from the fic -> specifically, the earrings that seawatt, emf and evbo wear are from the fic with my own little spin on them (such as adding a hanging amethyst to evbos plain gold studs so now it represents both sea and emf), the bracelets on seawatt and emfs hands (also i forgot to colour the rings on seawatt and emfs hands but . they ARE there)
all of the jewelery that represents emf has star designs on them btw lol
seawatt has vitiligo and tribal(? i hope that im using that right) markings because i just. thought it would be fun for him to have vitiligo but also with the partyloving and very culture centric environment the fighters used to be i felt like giving him those would fit well
he ALSO has heterochromia but thats not normal -> his right eye is black because of revival hjinks, not because he was born with it black
bandages on his chest are there cause of revival too and he always carries around health/regen pots incase his family needs it (and this guy denies being the mother? lmfao get a grip)
seawatt wears chainmail sandals with gold soles because he looks good in gold and he knows it
emfs 'BOOTS' are more like leg guards than anything his grippers are out 24/7 cause of his unique . mmmmmmmonster...??? anatomy and they have designs that are carried over from his former master boots + netherite engravings that evbo put in himself
emfs scars from when he was being held hostage above the void are gold cause he bleeds gold. i think. i dont know where i was going with that
evbos halo and wings are made out of netherite and they glow a little. his boots are shorter than most champions boots because hes a parkour Freak and he needs to be jumping 24/7 (this is not canon to the fic im sorry im projecting)
notice that evbo and boey look extremely similar if you ignore the copious amounts of scarring lmfao yeah thats intentional becasue apparently some people keep confusing evbo and boey ? anyway they both have jewelery from emf and seawatt, boey also has earrings from evbo
boey has grey streaks in his hair. is that from stress or revival am i a former dsmp fan who knows youll never get that out of me
evbos hair is a bit better off in terms of revi i mean grey hair but his hair ends are a little darker and frayed because the fic canon has his hair being in abysmal condition (understandable given. um. the whole state of the noob layer)
boey has his gloves that prevent him from scratching at himself!!! he keeps those on most of the time and a ceremonial sword given by some of the worshippers at the offerings altar

Ironing out my Mudwing hc design! Decided to go with a simpler design, something that’s easier to draw and also something I really like!
I decided to go all in on the grippers on the end of the wings (inspired by Gore Magala) and went with a more crocodilian look in terms of their back spikes and build!
Mudwings are my absolute favorite tribe so I just had to knock out their HC design first! I’m currently designing my Mudwing OC/Sona based off my hc design, and I’ll slide in a WIP below! 🧡🤎

morbidly fascinated by the dedication designers have to giving each character detailed, particular feet design. like those are no stock designs recycled through characters. oh no. riddle's toes here are not the same as floyd's toes in stitch event. incredible. can they please stop.

I-I don’t see it… But to be fair, it’s most likely because I couldn’t look at the feet or grippers for that long without feeling deeply disgusted and uncomfortable so I had to click off 💦 (For this reason, I also won’t be including comparison shots in this post.)
I asked some friends for their opinions and they agreed that the live 2D models of the characters appear to have different feet in the outfits where they are more visible (such as Beach/Tropical Wear and Yasmina Silk/Silk Adorned). They cited differences such as Jack, Floyd, and Leona having wider feet and Riddle’s ankles being smaller. Again, I cannot confirm myself because looking at exposed feet for too long makes me ill 🤢 so I choose to trust the judgment of those friends.
It’s so odd to me that the dev team seems to have made very unique assets for the lower half of the characters’ bodies when they definitely do not do that for the top halves… (I believe they swap out using ~3 or 4 basic body types and arms?) even though the top halves are what we see the majority of the time in the game. It feels counterintuitive to me 😅 Wouldn’t you want it to be the other way around…?

Ice Legend!!
Helpful boy 10/10, wanted standard dnd adventurer mixed with jack frost, has no mouth (hidden always by wool lining)
Headcanons:
Ice is ALWAYS cold but its okay, because he prefers the cold
His hair is frozen like that(like he got out of the shower and stepped outside in the middle of winter)
He chews on ice cubes
His diamond boots have snowshoe bottoms, allowing him to never sink in snow

this is probably my favorite design because the skull is so <3<3<3
he's a little pathetic meow meow but he still won; a two hour victory is still a victory
Glass has the least changes from his original body because he is the youngest legend
He's a descendant of a mob people recognize but don't know from where
His knee pads are bullet proof glass
His diamond boots are very fancy boots with glass grippers on the toes and heels

Neo Legend!
i had to babygirlify him, he's been yassified, he has a flat affect and he's monotone
Uses cobbled deepslate for aesthetic and nothing else
Neo was originally unaware of other levels until he became champion
When he spawned in, his legs wouldn't work and, deciding to be kind, the champion before Neo made him legs and trained him
While his diamond boots do allow a bit more forgiving jumps and landing, Neo became good at neo parkour with intense practice and training
he hates when anyone says he didn't earn his title

I just realized that I draw critter Heart and Mind with little stubby paws even though i draw their humanoid designs with talons and claws. Soul gets his hooves, so why can't Heart and Mind get their little claws?
So here's Heart with the pointy grippers.
Might still draw them as little nubs for simplicity but the claws make them look like cute little gremlins of critters. So maybe I'll draw them with claws from time to time.

Quester (1981) by David Buckley, London, UK. Quester was originally designed as a micromouse maze solver, taking part in the Wembley heats of the July 1981 Amazing Micromouse Contest, and in the September 1981 EUROMICRO competition in Paris. It was later converted into a general purpose robot with the addition of a gripper. It uses vision to detect the walls of the maze, and segmented bump sensors in case it doesn't, and uses a layered behaviour control program running on a 6502 based Acorn System 1. Quester was also a finalist in the Robotics Age "Home Robot Photo Contest" (1982), and ultimately won the Thezeus Award 1996 created and presented by Alan Dibley.
"The chassis consists of two main drive wheels with fore and aft casters. The drive wheels are hardboard disks with vacuum-cleaner belts for tires, each powered by a 6V DC motor. Via homemade shaft encoders the motors also drive two 8-bit up/down counters so that a preprogrammed path may be followed. Wire loops connected to micro-switches can be seen around the base - these provide reflexes through hardware timers on the interface board. Power comes from a 6V lead-acid battery in the central column which allows about three hours of service between charges. Twelve photo-transistors arranged as three pairs per side provide obstacle detection. One of each pair senses ambient light while the other is only sensitive to light from a particular direction. … At the front of the chassis are a pair of ultrasonic transducers for range-finding." – Quester, by David L.
