Whole life insurance for children has several notable advantages.
Locked-in low premiums: Premiums are based on the child's age when the policy is purchased, so the rates are guaranteed for life.
Guaranteed insurability: The child will be able to maintain coverage regardless of any future health issues that may arise.
Cash value growth: The policy builds cash value over time that can be accessed later for things like education expenses or a down payment on a home. Lifelong protection: As long as premiums are paid, the coverage remains in effect for the child's entire life.

Call Your Insurance - benefit questions
I get it, phone calls are scary! Here's some scenarios to show you what to expect when you call your insurance company. Don't be afraid to ask follow up questions - the only 'stupid question' is one you don't ask!
[beginning of call]
Insurance rep: Hi, thanks for calling your insurance company, my name is X. How can I help you today?
You: Hi, I'm calling to ask about my benefits.
Rep: Okay, can I get your member ID number? [you provide] and can you verify your name and date of birth for me? [you verify. they may also ask for your phone number at this point.]
Rep: Alright, I've got you pulled up here. What questions do you have today?
[example one]
You: I think I need to see a specialist and wanted to know what my benefits are for lab work.
Rep: Okay, give me a minute to get that information for you. [answer will obviously vary! they may ask clarifying questions to help find an accurate answer, such as diagnosis/issue you are seeking help for. they may also have to provide a disclaimer that they cannot guarantee benefits quoted] It looks like you have a $45 copay for specialist office visits, and that can include some basic lab work if it is billed on the same claim. If they send it to a separate lab, then your In Network benefit is 80% after deductible.
You: Can you check to see if the specialist is In Network? And do I need a referral?
Rep: Sure, what's the doctor's name? [they may tell you to verify with the provider if they are In Network, as not all insurance reps will have access to 100% confirm a provider's network contract status, unfortunately.]
[example two]
You: I'm going to need surgery. What are my benefits?
Rep: I can look that up for you. Where will you be having the surgery? [surgery benefits can depend on whether you are inpatient, outpatient, or in-office]
You: At the hospital, I might have to be there a few days.
Rep: Okay, inpatient services require precertification. Your doctor will need to start that process by submitting a precert request to our fax number or through our website. The benefit for hospital services is 80% after deductible. It looks like you've already met your deductible, so that means you'll be paying 20% until you hit your out of pocket max, which is $4000 for In Network services.
You: Does that include my deductible?
[end of call]
Rep: Is there anything else I can help you with today?
You: No that's all. Can I get a reference number for the call? [feel free to ask for their name again if you didn't catch it or forgot! some systems don't have reference numbers and just use the rep's name and the date, so its always good to keep notes of when you called, who you spoke with, and what they told you!]

once again given stupid and frustrating news about my continuing attempts to get health care and it's making me feel extremely evil, so friends and followers, if you comment something on here I might make you a doodle tonight (16MAY24) after I'm done with all my responsibilities so I can feel a little more kind and a little less like the world only has one neck

me: hello friends I need recommendations for a health service but I don't have insurance
literally everyone: try this place idk how much it is without insurance but I love them :)
how much it is without insurance: hundreds of dollars
i... simply give up asking anyone who has insurance for help with medical recs. they never double check. then they start telling me different insurances to sign up for and it's almost always ones that have already rejected me or I have to wait months to sign up. ppl with insurance truly do not recognize their privilege and the money they aren't spending. it's actually really fucking hard to get insurance when you don't meet their very specific conditions of living.

no new geometries in my dream last night but it was instead a nightmare about failing to have prepared for my (actually real) trip to columbus tomorrow, failing to get a rental and having to plead my way out of my aunt's house with help from a friend during a snowstorm (?) and then after some really dramatic escapes i leave the friend behind like ok i can still be only like 30m late and then i got stuck in this tunnel that was like a subway tunnel with no trains and more dimly lit. i realized i had left my personal phone in my backpack which i'd left in my friend's car, and for some reason once in the Waiting Tunnel you could not leave. at the far end, it had a mailbox system and i opened doors of the little lockers hoping to find my bag; someone was pulling an entire baby out of one, to my dream-self's consternation. i never did catch my ride :(

do you have any advice on how to get the wmmap paper dolls books? or is itsuper exclusive merch? sorry for asking i'm just super curious!
Currently the only way of buying the paper doll book is finding it being sold on a second-hand shopping site. When KW Books' (Carrotoon's parent company) official store had just launched, they put some leftover stock of wmmap's limited editions up for sale. I guess that could happen again, but 1. Going by their wording, it seemed like a "just this one time" type of deal; and 2. You would have to buy volume 3's limited edition, which could be way more expensive than buying the piece of merch individually. Also, wmmap's volumes got sold out in like, a couple of hours.
Anyways, the fastest and safest way of buying any rare merch is keeping an eye on reseller sites. I'm not too sure about the korean scene, since I use japanese sites. My go-to site is Mercari, but there's also Suruga-ya, Yahoo! Auctions, Ebay, etc. I recommend Mercari because it's easy to use with proxy companies that help you out with the buying process, such as Buyee (probably the easiest one to use? but there are others like Zenmarket, Treasure Japan, etc. I can vouch for Treasure Japan and Buyee since I've used them several times). I have seen korean and japanese fans selling the paper doll book on Twitter once or twice, but the person most likely won't ship internationally (I asked lmao).
TL;DR: 1. Search for wmmap on reseller sites (using its japanese, korean, chinese, etc., spelling depending on the site you use). The paper doll book is super rare, but I have seen it a bunch of times, so eventually it should reappear; 2. If you can't buy it directly, use a proxy company as middleman (Buyee is pretty reliable, but depending on your country there might be better options from local stores). That's it!
As for prices, it honestly depends on your luck. Sometimes you'll find second-hand merch at pretty fair prices (for books I think anything around $20 USD is worth it, but this heavily depends on your currency's exchange rate), and other times people will ask for a crazy amount of money. Merch that has been opened, used or that has any type of damage will always be cheaper, so sometimes it's best to buy "not perfect" merch. My advice is to also consider the shipping cost and possible import taxes before making any purchases.
Oh, also, I don't recommend buying from Etsy resellers. They always overcharge way too much and I've heard many cases of people not receiving everything they had bought from them.
Wow, that was a long answer...
