everytime i remember almost no-one in the fandom seems to think guillermo de la cruz is ace i get so mad. it's partially about my own expectations bc watching the show i just sorta assumed everyone would bc it's so very obvious to me. like you can't tell me he was tryna come out as gay at that table lmao. he would not feel the need to make it into such a thing, they never expected him to be straight. coming out as asexual however? to these sex-obsessed vampires? of course he'd feel the need to explain and justify himself with a long speech, if he didn't they wouldn't believe him, they would not understand it as a real possibility. there's plenty of other stuff too that i don't remember specifically enough 2 talk about. also it just seems like poor media literacy to me. i can't say that with certainty cuz i don't actually know the writers' intentions either but to me it's rly just canon that he's ace. i know queerbaiting is an issue and we need explicit representation and in my ideal world he is explicitly stated to be asexual in a future episode of the show but im also a strong believer in not needing characters to look at the camera and state their identities for them to have those identities as a written part of their character.

Jimin's choices

After reading Beyond the Story and learning more about the culture of Kpop, I think Jimin's promotions were exactly what he wanted. I'm talking specifically about the few weeks he spent making music show appearances. He walked the exact path debut-Bangtan walked in the beginning which were the music show performances, Music Bank, Inkagayo...achieving a first 1st place win on those music shows...and appearances on variety shows. Jimin actually won two 1st place wins.

To us OUTSIDE the Kpop world, it all seemed charming and yet expected that he'd want to perform on Korean music shows for K-Army. That was one of the primary reasons for going that route but at the same time he dutifully paid important homage to the expectations/standards embedded in Kpop culture in order to lay down that first stepping stone in his solo career.

At the time BTS debuted, companies were reluctant to keep spending money on producing a group if they did not show these progressive and specific steps.

Perhaps recalling the strong reactions from the kpop world to debut-BTS, Jimin was sensitive to those still waiting for a chance to criticize anything he did. Sometimes wounds leave lasting scars that still twinge now and then.

So Jimin paid his dues as a debut solo artist and gave a respectful and decisive nod to his Kpop idol roots. He earned a rightful place in the eyes of anyone in that industry.

The Billboard #1 was perhaps an unexpected win on top of all that. The #1's on all of the other charts: also extra on top. STILL dominating in his own country.

And now he's moving on. His next step will be bigger. He's coming for you AMAs, BBMAs, Grammys. I can feel it. Let's get it.

There are things that happened (or didn't happen as people wanted them to) surrounding Jimin's album. I am on board with that. But until Jimin says what went down himself, I won't be flying the "company mistreated him" flag. Mistakes? Yes. Incompetence? Perhaps. Shortsightedness? I definitely think so. Online streaming platform manipulation? Sure looks like it. Western music industry sabotage? Absolutely without a doubt. But his own label maliciously cutting him off? No.

Jimin is my bias and I want him to have everything he deserves and I am going to trust that he knows how to handle his own professional career and he does not need my intervention. If he's not happy with something, guess what? He can call Bang PD and tell him what's what. None of us can do that. Let Jimin handle it.

Just downloading the videos for this week's tarot reading off of my camera is taking a million years.. it's gonna be a long one! My second book is coming out in one week and I'm learning that the thing where I panic that it's actually 380 pages of hot garbage is just...how I react to exposing a book to the public, I guess.

So is anyone else just not fully believing the whole thing about BBH dying anymore?

Like yeah, with the radiation poisoning and the coughing and the "foreboding words" he keeps speaking, it sure seems like he's gonna keel over any day now

But that's kinda the problem

Anyone else remember when he was SUPER hinting that he ate Ron? With like, full-on crunching sound effects? When he acted at one point like he was gonna actually kidnap someone??

And then Ron turned up fine

And he ASKED Pac to go visit him, instead of actually doing a kidnapping

(I know there's other stuff too, but I can't think of them at the moment, unfortunately. If you have any examples leaning either way, feel free to let me know, I'd love to hear it)

He's been making a bit of a habit of doing all this seemingly obvious foreshadowing, just to turn around and be like "Lol, gotcha!! I gave Ron a house and fluffy bunny slippers!! Why were you even worrying, you silly muffins???"

It just feels to me like he's laying it on kinda thick, is all. Even just tonight, he was telling Pomme that "Everyone has to die sometime" and really heavily implying that he might do so himself soon

Now obviously, this could just be the one case where he delivers on the thing we're expecting 100% and I'll eat my words once again

The only reason I'm not entirely UNconvinced is because there really would be a lot of angst if he died and forgot everything, and I think we all know that Bad RELISHES in that sort of thing. He'd even roleplay it out really well, if the return from Purgatory streams are any indication

Not to mention the potential developments that would come from that. Like him reading his memory book, seeing that he wrote "Cucurucho is maybe a friend" and then suddenly we'd have a Fed-Allied BBH, and THAT would be super interesting

I dunno, I could see this going either way, but Bad has a really good way of surprising us

So while I can't be sure what it will be, I'm positive of what it won't be
