Places to find my DAI Companions: Haven Edition

Aurora Amell - Near one of the buildings near the Apothecary. I imagine the one Dorian hangs around might be a makeshift infirmary, so she’d be located inside that one, tending to the wounded.

Seigfried Trevelyan - Down by the training area, I’m going to say there’s an archery range in that area as well and he’s helping with training their archers to be better shots.

Xoras Pharae - Outside of the Haven gates, you go right and you’ll find him training the snow, making an effort to avoid the shemlen.

Hildegard Cadash - The opposite corner of Sera in the tavern. She’s set up a desk there typically with letters and papers for her underground contacts. And typically has a mug of strongest drink on supply.

Inatar & Shamut Adaar - Typically together in Haven. As you go up the stairs where Varric is, you go left and they’ll be hanging out by the building there.

Sergio di Vasco - In the Chantry on the pews which are on the opposite side of where Vivienne usually is.

Etienne de Rousseau - In his advisor verse, he’s located just outside the Chantry to the left corner, looking towards the Breach.

Fun facts about Xoras

He can drink a lot before he gets drunk and holds his drink very well. You can hardly tell he’s drunk until he passes out.

He can lift 3-4 times his body weight

He’s not shy, he just prefers to be proper about interactions.

He only gets flustered because he’s sometimes unsure about social interactions and social cues.

He can’t read

Eyes, Mouth, Neck/shoulders + Xoras

EYES

The first thing people would note about Xoras’s eyes is that they’re a bright, vibrant, almost unearthly green. There’s something unnatural but alluring about the color, able to draw people in. The next thing people notice is how they are frequently sternly set, with his brows knit and a definite distance wanted to be kept. They then becoming intimidating and almost frightening. Yet they can soften for those he cares for.

MOUTH

Xoras has full lips, with a slightly fuller bottom lip than the top lip. Half of them is darker due to his vallaslin but he does tend to put a dark red toned make up gloss on them as his personal preference, especially when dealing with colder climates. And when they’re not in a scowl, his lips look actually inviting.

NECK/SHOULDERS

For his build, his shoulders are somewhat broader than normal, but his neck, while muscular, is long and slender. He has quite the spiderweb of scars on the back of his left shoulder, and then a large one across his right shoulder. He won’t talk much about them, though, and gets tense when anyone asks.

Xoras is a very traditional Dalish, and he takes romance and sexual relationships very seriously. That being said, he’s very intent on bonding with someone before pursuing anything sexual. 

That being said, him pursing anyone not an elf is not likely, and even then he’d have a strong preference to a Dalish elf. But that doesn’t mean someone isn’t capable of catching his eye, but you’d have to get through his staunchly Dalish viewpoints.

He’d follow Dalish traditions, though, for courting, as in going through a rite to prove he’s a capable spouse, gifts, sweet manners, and so on.

Places to find my DAI Companions: Skyhold Edition

Aurora Amell - If an infirmary is constructed, she would be there. If not, she’d be tending to the wounded on the lower level.

Ironina Lavellan - Just outside the door to the rotunda that goes to Cullen’s office. It’s typically the best vantage point of who’s coming and going from Skyhold as well as any agents which may have loose lips so she can listen.

Seigfried Trevelyan - by the bar in the tavern.

Xoras Pharae - Just outside the smithery.

Arik Tabris - Near the broken area of the battlements by the rotunda, just outside of a tower.

Hildegard Cadash - The guardhouse door by the gate. The area is the quickest way for her to send and receive her letters.

Inatar Adaar - if a training area is constructed, she’ll be there. If not, she’ll be hanging around where Cassandra is, probably leaning against the tavern wall.

 Shamut Adaar - If a mage tower is constructed, he’s on the roof of it. If not, he’s in the library but opposite side of Dorian.

Sergio di Vasco - One of the towers on the battlement closer to the garden area.

Etienne de Rousseau - In Etienne’s advisor verse, if a mage tower is constructed, he’ll be in the thick of it there. If not, one of the quarters over the hall to the war room.

❥ - a childhood memory for Xoras!

He remembers sitting at his father’s side as he worked. He was skilled in his craft, perhaps one of the best in all the clans. Or at least that’s what Xoras liked to think. The way he was able to manipulate ironbark could put another clan craftsmen to shame.

And Xoras would sit and watch each gentle stroke of his blade against the wood. He would carve symbols of their different gods for each hunter into their bow, so as they would be blessed by their god.

A bit of luck, a bit of hope, his father said. That’s what their people relied on, after all. They endured due to hope of someday having a land to call their own someday.

Ok but which genders is Xoras attracted to? Like... that's kinda the point of sexualities, describing which genders, not if you only get feelings for them after extended periods of getting to know them.

No genders. He’s sexually attracted to no genders. No if you look at his demiromantic attraction, it’s more an attraction to the person in question, no matter their gender. But he’s still not sexually attracted to them, just romantically.

Xoras has a few mixed feelings. He did enjoy the times the clan stopped by the beach and being able to play in the water. The sound of the waves was always so soothing to him, something he could enjoy and play it as a child with his cousins from the clan. They never stayed long and he didn’t understand why until they were older.

When he was a teenager and just starting to be an apprentice, they were attacked by humans and the open area of the beach made the attack easy. Xoras jumped into action, fighting off an attacker in the waves. He won’t forget that first kill and how the water around him turned red before he and his clan fled the area.

“I’ll be as strong as you!” He shouted, his voice a higher pitch. The boys laughed, his cousins seemed to not believe the smaller elf. “Just wait!! I’ll show you! I’ll be the clan warleader someday!”

“Sure,” one of the boys sneered. “You have to be smart an’ strong for that an’ you’re not either. They’ll probably marry ya off to another clan.”

“I...What? We’re...I’m to...” Xoras furrowed his brow, rubbing his head a bit as he considered the traits given to him. “Some boldness is good so yes...Ferocity?” He rubbed his brow, sighing. Apparently he gave off that feeling. “No.” His ears perked at the last one, though, twitching a bit. “Of course long elfy ears.”

💔 …someone who broke my muse’s heart.

Uh. Currently? No one. He’s never really cared to focus on that sort of stuff in his life, and never let it bother him if someone didn’t like him if he did (which was rare and far between). So his heart hasn’t been broken romantically.

And he’s honestly from a supportive clan, who had no issues with him saying he’s a man and accepted it, so. Really? There’s no heartbreak.

I mean he did lose a few friends to crows who worked for the various merchant princes of Antiva so there’s that.

honestly, in public and around other people he doesn’t know, Xoras likes to keep his face as unreadable as possible, maybe look a little pissed to get people to be intimidated

But in private and around people he deems his friends and he’s comfortable, he’s actually very expressive with lots of small smirks and relaxed features.

Etienne

Etienne de Rousseau’s hands are large with delicate fingers. They’re not very rough and typically have the marks of paper cuts on them from the books he’s read. They’re fair toned, with some blemishes on them but nothing to take away their appeal. There is some hair on them, Etienne does have decent body hair after all. Nails are styled well, sometimes with some polish on them to make them shine a bit.

Xoras

Xoras’s hands are marred with scars and callouses. They’re small, though, with a delicate look to them. His nails are kept short, some bite marks on them from a nervous habit he has. His joints are a bit larger than the rest of his fingers, but not oddly so, just from the work he’s done with his hands due to training. He has one large noticeable scar on his right thumb; almost as if he nearly lost his thumb.

Arik

Coarse, callous, scarred, Arik has large hands for an elf with oddly thin but strong fingers. Scarred tips with hard callouses from playing the lute, and callouses and sores on the joint between his finger and his thumb from sword practice. Nails are kept short and neat, not much fuss on them except to keep them out of the way.
