Family Headcanons | ACCEPTING

Inatar had decent parents. They had a few oddities, having left the Qun, but they did what they could to be parents to her and her siblings. But they were blunt and straight forward types of parents, and Inatar is sure she’d end up being like that.

With that being said, she also isn’t keen on being a parent herself. She doesn’t feel like she has the emotional capacity to be a parent, and has little patience and maturity for it herself. She might change her mind when she’s older or if she decides to adopt a particularly awesome kid, but for the time being? It’s not something she’d want.

Places to find my DAI Companions: Haven Edition

Aurora Amell - Near one of the buildings near the Apothecary. I imagine the one Dorian hangs around might be a makeshift infirmary, so she’d be located inside that one, tending to the wounded.

Seigfried Trevelyan - Down by the training area, I’m going to say there’s an archery range in that area as well and he’s helping with training their archers to be better shots.

Xoras Pharae - Outside of the Haven gates, you go right and you’ll find him training the snow, making an effort to avoid the shemlen.

Hildegard Cadash - The opposite corner of Sera in the tavern. She’s set up a desk there typically with letters and papers for her underground contacts. And typically has a mug of strongest drink on supply.

Inatar & Shamut Adaar - Typically together in Haven. As you go up the stairs where Varric is, you go left and they’ll be hanging out by the building there.

Sergio di Vasco - In the Chantry on the pews which are on the opposite side of where Vivienne usually is.

Etienne de Rousseau - In his advisor verse, he’s located just outside the Chantry to the left corner, looking towards the Breach.

Places to find my DAI Companions: Skyhold Edition

Aurora Amell - If an infirmary is constructed, she would be there. If not, she’d be tending to the wounded on the lower level.

Ironina Lavellan - Just outside the door to the rotunda that goes to Cullen’s office. It’s typically the best vantage point of who’s coming and going from Skyhold as well as any agents which may have loose lips so she can listen.

Seigfried Trevelyan - by the bar in the tavern.

Xoras Pharae - Just outside the smithery.

Arik Tabris - Near the broken area of the battlements by the rotunda, just outside of a tower.

Hildegard Cadash - The guardhouse door by the gate. The area is the quickest way for her to send and receive her letters.

Inatar Adaar - if a training area is constructed, she’ll be there. If not, she’ll be hanging around where Cassandra is, probably leaning against the tavern wall.

 Shamut Adaar - If a mage tower is constructed, he’s on the roof of it. If not, he’s in the library but opposite side of Dorian.

Sergio di Vasco - One of the towers on the battlement closer to the garden area.

Etienne de Rousseau - In Etienne’s advisor verse, if a mage tower is constructed, he’ll be in the thick of it there. If not, one of the quarters over the hall to the war room.

Because I feel like it, I’m going to list possible ship biases for all my muses including tropes for OCs. Obviously, every ship bias requires plotting but I thought this might help me get my mind around shippy stuff. (As an ace of questionable romantic attraction, shipping is hard.) These are in no particular order, just as I think of them as I type

Eliana Mahariel - Alistair, Tamlen, good hearted prankster, Soft boy/girl, Merrill

Atena Hawke - Anders, Isabela, Leliana, rogue chick, nerd boy, boy who needs physical protection

Rajmahel Lavellan - Dorian, Josephine, Zevran, nerd boy/girl, pretty boy/girl, honestly he’s just very easy to ship just be nice, sexy, and good with kids

SECONDARY

Arik Tabris - Morrigan, Zevran, Leliana, Krem, goth/punk type characters for sure, (I would ship him with Idrilla if she wasn’t my own OC)

Dazbo Amell - Fenris, Isabela (the only chick I think I can remotely ship him with), Dorian, tough boys who can also be soft but only in private, fashionistas

Oh I hope you are ready for this because every single one of the muses on this blog coexist together so there’s a lot of fun fine webbing to be had here.

PLAYER CHARACTERS

Ceridwen: The biggest thing to consider is, in my head, All of my Origins companions are her companions. So she has dynamics with each of them. She and Zoria are friendly rivals and tend to pick on each other a little bit. Ceridwen and Arik trust each other and almost have a sibling type bond by the end of the Blight (and rumors eventually suggest they’re lovers when they aren’t). She and Lir have pun battles. And Dimetrea is her bodyguard (Even though she doesn’t need one but Dimmy is protective). Beyond that, Ceridwen is also cousins with Myrrdin and Ironina.

Atena: The first dead giveaway is Atena is related to my Amells, Dazbo, Zoria, and Aurora. She knows Dazbo the best out of all of them and the pair have a friendly ‘Dazbo is going to complain about her heroics but will go along with her on them constantly’ type of relationship. She knows my DA2 companions as well. There’s a friendly, almost joking rivalry between her and Selena because Selena is Orlesian and Atena grew up in Ferelden. Atena and Katarina have a mutual respect and work well together but they’re wary of each other to an extent as well. Emris and Atena are drinking buddies and Atena is the responsible friend, getting him out of trouble.

Myrrdin: I mentioned his relation to Ceridwen earlier, but everyone should know Ironina is his sister. She’s always had his back and is always keeping an eye out for him. Seigfried is one of his very good friends from dealing with issues with a lord in the Free Marches, a mutual enemy for them that they handled together. Aurora he met after the Conclave and was wary of her at first (like he was with most humans) but he eventually came to admire her as a friend, as well as tease her a bit. Xoras is a new person to him and while the pair work together, Myrrdin’s personality doesn’t mesh well with Xoras’s more withdrawn personality. When Arik joins the Inquisition for the Wardens, Myrrdin is impressed with how he climbed the ranks and with his skill, while Arik finds Myrrdin’s capability to lead to be what’s needed. Hildegard is definitely a character Myrrdin wants to figure out and Hildegard at first sees him as an easily excited kid. The Adaar siblings, Shamut and Inatar, respect the Inquisitor, but they don’t have a strong relationship with him other than work. Sergio di Vasco is someone Myrrdin wants to see succeed in his goal and Sergio respects Myrrdin for giving him the chance. 

ORIGINS COMPANIONS

Zoria: Obviously sister to Dazbo and Aurora, cousin to Atena. Lir and she tend to argue on matters of the Chantry and try to outprank each other. Zoria thinks Arik is a sour grump and dull and Arik thinks Zoria is childish. Dimetrea and Zoria are a sarcastic, ego slicing power duo. Ceridwen was mentioned above.

Arik: Now, Arik is available for both Origins and DAI, specifically plotted out. So I’ve discussed Zoria, Myrrdin, and Ceridwen. He and Lir have a somewhat rocky relationship, with him not being sure to trust Lir and Lir not sure to trust he won’t kill him in his sleep but they eventually learn to work together. Dimetrea, they understand where the other is coming from in life and have a camaraderie. Ten years down the line, we have Inquisition happen. He meets a few people. He appreciates Ironina’s skill and the pair are sparring partners by the end of the war against Corypheus. His favorite hobby is beating Seigfried at Wicked Grace. He doesn’t like how Hildegard is capable of poking into anyone’s history with her connections net.

Lir: Arik, Zoria, and Ceridwen have been discussed prior. Lir and Dimetrea have a relationship of tall and short, with Lir leaning on her head jokingly and Dimetrea jabbing him in the rib with her elbow.

Dimetrea: All listed prior.

DA2 COMPANIONS

Dazbo: The first is brother to Zoria and Aurora, cousin to Atena. Dazbo and Emris have a rivalry, merely due to egos. If their egos don’t get in the way, they tend to be good friends. Dazbo and Katarina, meanwhile, have a shaky ground with her being a templar and the issues templars face under Meredith. Katarina sees he’s not a danger, but she keeps an eye on him just in case. Selena and Dazbo are best friends and drinking buddies, as well as fashionistas together.

Emris: Atena and Dazbo’s relation is listed prior. Emris and Katarina have a working relationship of Emris tries to cheat her at cards but fails miserably because she has too keen of an eye. Emris and Selena have a working relationship of Emris stealing gold for the alienage but also paying Selena for goods to be funneled into the alienage as well.

Katarina: Atena, Dazbo, and Emris’s is listed prior. Katarina and Selena have a wonderful relationship of Selena tries to avoid her at all cost but sometimes begrudgingly works with her.

Selena: listed prior.

DAI COMPANIONS

Aurora: Obviously cousin to Atena, sister to Dazbo and Zoria. Aurora and Seigfried started with a shaky relationship with Aurora not being sure of his intentions and manners, but they’ve grown to having thrown playful banter back and forth at each other. Hildegard likes to keep an eye out for Aurora, make sure she’s okay and she’s got what she needs. Inatar tends to jokingly flirt with her, using healer jokes. Sergio likes to compliment her, too. Etienne was her fiance before he died at the Conclave, but it was a friendly arrangement with a mutual affection, but not a strong romantic one.

Ironina: I’ve mentioned she’s Myrrdin’s sister and Ceridwen’s cousin, her relationship with Arik too. She and Seigfried have a ‘she’s tolerates me so I’m going to see how far I can push’ type of friendship. Xoras she finds a similar attitude of preferring to watch than interact and the two become silent friends. Sergio and Ironina tend to compete over who’s the better fighter and who’s sneakier. Ironina likes to look over Hildegard’s records of people in the Inquisition. Ironina is marginally protective of Shamut, merely because he reminds her, at times, of Myrrdin with being a young mage.

Seigfried: I’ve listed Myrrdin, Aurora, Arik, and Ironina. Seigfried is some cousin of Etienne’s. I think it may be a second cousin or a first. Inatar is a definite drinking buddy of his. He and Hildegard tease each other about any little thing.
