My friend @gloomhaunter has a phenomenal WIP for an original work, and we’ve created a fun little AU where Vaatu is just plopped into the setting and adopts her characters Roe, a young chaos spirit, and Xora, a xenosynth. So I’ll be writing some of my prompts for that with her!

Lil thing for my character stuff

So blayz was the old name for this character and remade twice cuz of my ex and that

Now his name is Xora, they like being an alien and likes to be curious - he’s a traitor so their downfall is the whole boy cries wolf situation in a way

He also loves fish and sponges

They are a he/they (interchangeably so dw if u only use one for him.)

He also likes being tall for odd reasons but he’s average height - 5’6 for him atleast

When he was in the zone, this was when everything would click into place. There would be nothing but him, and Xora waking up in the woods, and his hands moving on the controller, the convoluted and repeating motions of hopping backwards and raising Xora’s dagger, frame-perfect, because you could skip most cutscenes if you crossed the event trigger while using an item. Every soothing tic and nervous fidget – in speedrunning, nobody asked why you moved so strangely. It’s faster, it’s the most comfortable way to hold the controller, it’s my personal good luck charm for good RNG.

No Major Glitches, Chapter 1

Like most things I dedicate a lot of time to, I started writing NMG because I made a joke to my friends - what if there was a sports anime rival romance about this gaming thing I'm interested in - and then just kept going.

In writing about speedrunning, and in how the characters talk about it, I wanted to capture some of my own feelings - that I've always been obsessed with alternative ways of play, in the occult feeling of glitches as the machine creating its own reality. Every rumour about luck and power, invisible doors and secret monsters, except... sometimes, they're real.

Places to find my DAI Companions: Haven Edition

Aurora Amell - Near one of the buildings near the Apothecary. I imagine the one Dorian hangs around might be a makeshift infirmary, so she’d be located inside that one, tending to the wounded.

Seigfried Trevelyan - Down by the training area, I’m going to say there’s an archery range in that area as well and he’s helping with training their archers to be better shots.

Xoras Pharae - Outside of the Haven gates, you go right and you’ll find him training the snow, making an effort to avoid the shemlen.

Hildegard Cadash - The opposite corner of Sera in the tavern. She’s set up a desk there typically with letters and papers for her underground contacts. And typically has a mug of strongest drink on supply.

Inatar & Shamut Adaar - Typically together in Haven. As you go up the stairs where Varric is, you go left and they’ll be hanging out by the building there.

Sergio di Vasco - In the Chantry on the pews which are on the opposite side of where Vivienne usually is.

Etienne de Rousseau - In his advisor verse, he’s located just outside the Chantry to the left corner, looking towards the Breach.

Love how fitting it is that in the Sims when the lights went out the only person who wasn't terrified was Zora cause she was quite literally just hanging around outside(by herself)

5. TV show of the year?

I know that it didn’t come out this year, but it did come to Netflix this year so, Avatar: The Last Airbender, for sure. Binge-watched it with my brother and god. It’s so good, like it’s seriously incomparable to anything else. Definitely recommend it if you haven’t watched it yet, I can’t believe I put it off for so long.

As for stuff that came out this year, season 2 of The Boys came out this year so I binge-watched all of it. Edgy, but very interesting and the characters are fun. The Christianity episode hit me real hard on a personal level, and is also a really impressive piece of world-building that I’ve never seen in any superhero media. Content warning for...everything...but if you have a hard stomach and few triggers, I recommend it especially for those experiencing Marvel-fatigue, just be sure to look into it beforehand. 

AGH AND SORRY THIS LIST IS GETTING LONG BUT how could I forget about Taskmaster!!!! They’ve been uploading episodes on YouTube so I binge-watched that too haha Just a super fun show to watch and took my mind off of a lot of uh... 2020.

Sad answer: Moving back in with my parents.

15. What’s a bad habit you picked up this year?

Extreme executive disfunction and procrastination. Not a new habit, just a habit that went into remission when I moved out and was mentally healthy.

I uhhh I learned how to make a really good breakfast wrap. 

25. Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one

Since I already talked about soccer pixie, I guess I can talk about soccer demon!

Also for my fantasy soccer project, I came up with her as I was drawing soccer pixie, and at first she was supposed to be on the rival team before I decided to make them teammates. She’s from a notable family who were all alumni of the school and she has a sister who was on the team years prior, and she has a lot of pressure to live up to her family’s name. She’s the more serious teammate who doesn’t have too much of a life outside of studying and soccer. Like soccer pixie, she doesn’t have a name yet, I’m thinking something like Xora.

Started a game where each player is a different colour of dragonborn. Unfortunately another player also wanted to play black and won the roll off so I decided to draw out the character I was planning on making so I could perhaps play her online at some point.

The character is Xora, a dancer turned adventurer when her draconic bloodline awakened. She is a team mum type, is very gentle and sweet with the way she talks (often calling people “dear” “sweetie” or the like), but is Lawful Evil - she only considers the feelings of people she likes, which is usually limited to those she’s “adopted” in her mind.

I finally started a dnd group with my coworkers and god I was rly missing out!!! I was missing out!

One of our crazy sorcerers (character name: Xora) set someone’s house on fire and then ran into the enemy’s manor and pocket spider’d a guard that was trying to lead them to safety after succeeding a persuasion roll to tell him they were not intruders but new servants! And then they exploded his head! And pretended it just did that by itself and the other guards that ran in were like: .....ok!

Not to mention my character (mileva) is my fiancé’s character’s (Astrophel) bodyguard and she left for 2 minutes and he fucking almost DIED!!! ON OUR FIRST SESSION

i’ve been trying to bring multimuses in on past days b/c i want to acknowledge certain characters on said blogs, but here i’ll just highlight the blogs as a whole!

a dragon age multimuse who i featured a couple times b/c i just. really admire their choice of muses as well as the writing! there’s not a muse on here i don’t love, even those like adrian that i’m not overly familiar with given i’ve yet to finish asunder. i can feel ciri’s passion when they write about each of their muses, and it invests me in each one. i’d honestly love a thread w/ each of their muses one day. gotta catch ‘em all.

i’ve been following this blog since my mass effect days, back when they were bowtied, and they provided a lot of rly inspirational posts to anons and such on their dash! seeing them again, only now with more doctors, was a very exciting experience!!! it’s not something i’d seen before in the dw fandom, and i’ve adored what i’ve seen from them, even as someone who is only familiar with new doctor who.

i’ve only listed erran’s primary dragon age characters, but she rps tolkien as well as having a list of secondary muses! her ocs have interesting and complex backstories that really dig deep into dragon age lore, specifically fereldan lore and the civil war. they are such natural parts of the lore that i had to mark them (oc) otherwise you might confuse them with canons like eleanor and loghain.

i’ve been following pastry’s rp blogs for... idk... seven years now? a lot. a lot of years. i’ve seen a few of these muses in action on single-muse blogs, so i’m glad they can return in multimuse form. pastry’s samson and ashley in particular are old favourites, but looking at this list pastry has the magic ability to pull my faves out in general (i would die for zenyatta. and probably deserve it after how many times i’ve gotten him killed playing him...).

again, i decided to only list the dragon age muses to save me from tabbing back and forth, but this blog has so many fun muses aside from that! like spyro, taking me back to the days i would ask my dad to take me and my brother to a clubhouse so we could play one of the games on the ps2. and christopher robin! as for their dragon age muses, i’ve thoroughly enjoyed them. i still have a few to get to know, but their samson and minaeve are great, and i’ve known clancy for a few years now! it’s comforting to see him on my dash after all this time.
