No better than him.

Hey!! instead of writing hcs this time I decided to make a short angsty blonco fic!! Based on a scene from The last of us II with Ellie and Dina

The cool night air gently blew throughout the living room, giving a stark contrast to the miles of thick tension between the two men. Blondie was completly dressed while Tuco was still in his night clothes. He spoke up first.

"I can't keep dealing with this."

Blondie knew this conversation would come up at some point. "Dealing with what exactly?" The question wasn't meant to be sarcastic, but it still came off that way. Tuco cocked his head to the side with a slightly offended look, “With this disappearing act you pull on me every few months.” Tuco didn’t sound angry or sad, If anything he sounded disappointed.

Blondie stiffened at this, ever since he witnessed the fight between Tuco and Pablo in the monastery, he’s been gun shy about having serious conversations. “Well it’s not like I haven’t come back yet.”

“So, I’m just supposed to wait for god knows how long just thinking you’re dead the entire time Blondie?”

“I don’t plan on dying.”

“Angel Eyes probably didn’t either but look at what you did to him.”

Silence hung in the air between the two, the breeze from earlier was gone, and the bugs seemed to have gone quiet. “Blondie I don’t know what future you see out there” Tuco gestured toward the vast west Texas plains. “But what we have here is obviously not apart of it.” He side stepped towards the back bedroom of the small shotgun house.

“Do what you want, but I’m not dragging you back down to earth for a second time.”

Blondie wanted to say something, but Tuco’s heavy footsteps and the slamming of their once shared bedroom door kept him silent. He stood still for a moment before pushing against the front door and stepping out onto the porch. Even with the amount of time and energy they put into this place, Blondie’s Sisyphus complex was something that weighed heavy on both their shoulders.

In the morning when Tuco wakes up and sees Blondie’s side of the bed with a noticeable indent in the mattress waiting for the owner to fill it out again. He’ll do the same. Tuco will pack all his belongings and ride out just as Blondie did the night before, but not before leaving a pillow and blanket folded up on the bed.

Just in case his golden haired angel decides to come back.

D'Eon: They haven't had much time to shine, but I do like them! And reading up on their historicity is fascinating!

Medusa: DAUGHTER QUEEN YAS SLAY I LOVE YOU DUSA WHAT A GIRL, WHAT A LOVELY SWEET GIRL WHO WILL MURDER FOR HER POOR ABUSED MASTER WHAT A GREAT SERVANT

Waver: King shit, nothing like sneaking into an entire ass mage war you were NOT supposed to be part of, somehow being the only mage survivor (Kiritsugu doesn't count he died in all ways but physical), and going back home to STEAL YOUR DEAD PROFESSOR'S NAME AND JOB???? On TOP of somehow scoring an ancient bara king as a boyfriend????? Absolute legend, the El Melloi classroom is the best place to be.

Favorite moment

Siegfried: I haven't finished Apocrypha yet but dude his immediate 'aight time to kill myself for this random homunculi kid who needs help' was kinda legit if stupidly heroic. Also him showing up in Traum pretty much literally to go "i am so sorry I'm such an idiot I love you" and defusing Kriemhild in seconds was fucking amazing. Also his summer alt puts me in hysterics.

D'Eon: Them being basically the only sane NB in Agartha was pretty hilarious, poor d'Eon.

Medusa: I have not watched HF because Reasons but I hear she goes fully fucking apeshit to protect Sakura and I say slay queen you go girl. Also her being just sweet and chill and vibing with Sakura in Emiya Gohan gives me life.

Waver: The finale when he stares down Literally Gilgamesh and manages to survive was glorious. Also everything about Case Files, but specifically the final bit where he gets to talk to Iskandar for a bit. Also also in Accel Order when he's committing so much violence against his baby self and when he absolutely fucking plays Kayneth like a fool, that was hilarious.

Idea for a story

Siegfried: I don't have TOO many ideas here, actually, but I'd like to see Kriemhild put up with his event shenanigans, bless her. Go on double dates with Sigurd and Bryn.

d'Eon: More screentime! Go hang with Marie!

Medusa: I think I'd like to read things dealing with her past and her sisters and the other Greek Servants, but also I would read everything involving Medusa beating the fuck out of Zouken and Shinji :)

Waver: Go make out with your bara boyfriend, also solve more mysteries, also also take a nap. Though Waver teaching Fujimaru mage basics would be adorable! He's in charge of Modern Magecraft Theory, they'd get it a little better.

d'Eon: It's only tangentially related, but I don't hate Agartha. Like, it's DEFINITELY not Good, but it's not terrible either.

Waver: IDK man, what are Waver opinions? I love this guy.

Siegfried: Him and his wife, him and Sieg so far, he and Kotaro were kind of adorable buddies in the Vegas event.

d'Eon: Them and Marie for sure, it's sweet. Also them and Astolfo is a kind of funny duo, NB RIGHTS.

Medusa: SAKURA FOR SURE.

Waver: ISKANDAR ISKANDAR ISKANDAR, but also Grey and the rest of his class, like damn, I'd kill for Waver as my professor.

Waver: Like I mentioned above, I definitely hc Waver helps teach Fujimaru how to use basic magecraft so they don't Die. He also helped in EoR to deal with the Mage's Association. I also hc he tagged along with my Fujimaru into the London Singularity.

Sinday Asks | ACCEPTING

24. How does their afterglow look like?

***Afterglow, apparently, really depends on the sex and sexual partner, so we’ll just say for all of these it’s been great sex with a partner they hold very near and dear to them. Yes I researched it come at me.

AURORA

Aurora’s afterglow has a lot of humming, soft smiles, and easy movements to her typically quick pace. There’s a bit more of a bounce to her step and a little less restraint to herself that she typically as as the polite, reserved woman she tries to keep up in appearance. There may also be a bit more giggles than typically, as well.

SELENA

Very self confident and smooth. Every move is this graceful ballet look to it. She’ll wear a knowing smile and definitely, without shame, flirt with her partner rather boldly at times. And, also, might jokingly tease friends a bit more about their sex lives than normal.

ATENA

Really...Really...Daydreamy. And she definitely tries to hide it, which causes some awkward moments. But you will definitely catch her looking out a window with a wistful, small smile on her features and a gentler look in her blue eyes. Of course, if you ask her what she’s thinking about, she’ll get a hue to her cheeks and say it’s nothing at all.

SEIGFRIED

Confident and lackadaisical. Also more than likely to tell bad jokes. Maybe even attempt to sing a few bars of music badly. His devil-may-care attitude goes a bit up and he’s definitely going to be grinning a bit more than he typically does. Also will exchange a sly look with his partner if someone asks him why he’s acting how he is, whether his partner wants a look or not.

Places to find my DAI Companions: Haven Edition

Aurora Amell - Near one of the buildings near the Apothecary. I imagine the one Dorian hangs around might be a makeshift infirmary, so she’d be located inside that one, tending to the wounded.

Seigfried Trevelyan - Down by the training area, I’m going to say there’s an archery range in that area as well and he’s helping with training their archers to be better shots.

Xoras Pharae - Outside of the Haven gates, you go right and you’ll find him training the snow, making an effort to avoid the shemlen.

Hildegard Cadash - The opposite corner of Sera in the tavern. She’s set up a desk there typically with letters and papers for her underground contacts. And typically has a mug of strongest drink on supply.

Inatar & Shamut Adaar - Typically together in Haven. As you go up the stairs where Varric is, you go left and they’ll be hanging out by the building there.

Sergio di Vasco - In the Chantry on the pews which are on the opposite side of where Vivienne usually is.

Etienne de Rousseau - In his advisor verse, he’s located just outside the Chantry to the left corner, looking towards the Breach.

Character solidifying! | ACCEPTING

1. How does your character think of their father? What do they hate and love about him? What influence - literal or imagined - did the father have?

I’ll answer for a few muses under cut since there wasn’t any specified!

Myrrdin and his father actually have a very good relationship. His father is the Hahren for clan Lavellan after an injury caused him not to be able to be a hunter anymore. They both have similar bright dispositions, the only time they really clash is when Myrrdin gets a little too cocky for his father’s liking. His father’s optimism and attempts to find common ground with people he had disagreements definitely shaped Myrrdin’s attempts of doing the same.

While Atena and Malcolm did have a good relationship, she felt distant from him because she wasn’t a mage. She was even a bit jealous at times of the attention Malcolm gave Bethany when tutoring her. In an attempt to garner attention, she worked hard to be a warrior, winning small time tournaments in Lothering but was very careful to divert attention from her family. In time, she took on teaching Carver how to fight after he got into a scuffle and ended up with a broken nose. So I suppose Malcolm’s influence, unintentionally, was a key component for Atena to become a skilled warrior.

Seigfried and his father have always been on odds. Their family would say it’s because of their similar personalities, but both would venomous deny that. All Seigfried could see of his father was a pious and controlling man, while Richard Trevelyan saw Seigfried was a rebellious and shameless youth. Both ignored the stubbornness and sense of adventure both had. After Richard died at the Conclave, Seigfried felt immense regret at not trying to do more for their relationship.

Emris doesn’t know his father, not personally. But he hates him with every fiber of his being for what he did to his mother. He holds an uncanny resemblance to his father (an effect of being elf blooded) and he despises it. And no matter how much he says he hates his father, his father is a large reason why he steals from the nobles of Kirkwall for the people in the lower quarter. Sure, it’s noble, but it’s also biting his thumb at the class his father is in.

Katarina and her father have a distant yet respectful relationship. He wasn’t keen on his daughter joining the templars after his other daughter had been taken to the Circle, but Katarina pushed for it. If her father had had his way, she would have been married off to another noble in Wycome and be a socialite noble with some business to be able to sit around comfortably. He still attempts to talk her out of being a templar, but it doesn’t ever work.

I’m sure quite a few Inquisition recruits, at first, were relieved when they were sent to drill with Seigfried instead of Cullen. Surely, they reasoned, Lord Trevelyan was far more agreeable and less severe than the Commander.

They would find out that was wrong.

Seigfried actually does have an astute military mind and a talent for tactics, especially guerrilla warfare. Fighting in a Blight enables one to learn such options. Of course, none of the recruits would know Seigfried fought with the Fereldan side of his family during the Fifth Blight. He doesn’t talk about it.

But due to this, he tends to be a very commanding presence, keen on giving firm instruction and orders as he sees necessary and needed. He’s a very different person in training and on the battlefield than he is in more personal settings.

So from what I understand with Ostwick politics, it’s got a strong basis in Fereldan style politics, at least with titles. So that means it’s ruled by a Teryn, and then there’s the Arls, then Banns. And Bann Trevelyan is the parent of the Trevelyan PC, which means they aren’t technically, by title, the most powerful family.

But the Trevelyan family seems to be the most cunning in the way of gaining connections and contacts, with the web of marriages and then how the family has members in every branch of the Chantry. The Trevelyans probably play the political game as well as Orlesians, and thus their power lies in their influence in Ostwick and perhaps even the other City-States of the Free Marches, rather than their title.

This means any undisciplined, questionable, and insubordinate Trevelyan could be a problem for their hierarchy (I’m thinking of Philliam, the Bard! a little) but even those members of the family could have substantial sway over people.

AKA the Trevelyan family is interesting and I wish we had been told more.

Maxwell was a templar stationed at Ostwick, per his father’s design

He held the rank of Knight-Lieutenant, soon to be Captain

Maxwell was known for his piety and fairness but was not one easily walked over

He was firm in keeping with the rules and expectations of the templar order as well as keeping the charges of the Circle safe as well as others from them.

due to his well respected nature, he and his family were requested to attend the Conclave per Divine Justinia’s request.

Despite his templar training, his father made sure Maxwell still was a part of the family, and he kept close connections with both his older brothers.

💑 What are my muse’s requirements for a potential partner?

Haha oh gosh. I honestly don’t know…I don’t think he’d get along well, to be honest, paired off with a ‘proper’ lady who didn’t want to get her hands dirty. He knows how to act in noble social situations, but that doesn’t mean he likes it much. He much prefers to be hunting and on the move, so someone like that would be a definite fit. Otherwise, he’s not too picky with his women.

💋 How many people has my muse slept with?

Oh no you want me to list well….let me…think…He’s 34 at the start of Inquisition… I’d say he’s been active since he was 16. And he probably has had 2-3 partners in a year. Maybe more? so 36 to 54? He’s a very experienced man okay.

💘 What are the ways my muse says ‘I love you’ without actually saying it?

He probably, 100%, turns into an awkward puddle if he has actual strong affections for someone. Like. Just, he’ll become awkward and unsure of himself. But he’ll definitely try to woo them with flowers, gifts, chocolates, and jewelry.

Headcanon Meme Time! | ACCEPTING

❖ describe their hands

Seigfried’s hands are rough, but not rough as a man who’s worked in the fields or that. They’re rough from training, archery, and hunting. His favorite pass time is hunting, after all. There’s a few scars here and there and his nails are kept short to keep them from snagging on the bowstring. His hands are large but with deft fingers, quick and not clumsy in the slightest. He can have a firm grip on the bow and it never falls from his hand.

All of them are exceptional, but Ceridwen and Seigfried are more used to hunting as a means of archery and Ceridwen eventually is both archery and dual wielding. Emris is used to using archery in close quarters of Kirkwall and then from the tops of buildings and that. He’s more adaptable with his bow than the other two are.

Seigfried has competed in the Grand Tourney multiple times, but won the Grand Tourney two tourneys ago (dramatic ass 1000 days so every 2 years and 8 months). He didn’t compete in the most recent one, though, because the child he may or may not have had with the noblewoman who used him was there to watch and went up to speak with him excitedly.

Seigfried decided to retire from the Tourney then and there.
