slavic remus lupin will always have my heart, nobody does it like him, he would eat slavic mythology shit for breakfast, lunch and dinner, would know all the modern poets of his country, along with the modern history, and he wouldn't tell anyone anything unless they asked, but after that, he'd be an unstoppable force, info-dumping almost like his life depended on it, i love him i love him i love him
"Uh, just this please," Steve said, handing the CD to the guy behind the counter.
He gave Steve a weird look. "Are you sure you want this?"
Steve nodded, sweating. "Yup."
"You do know it's Ozzy Osbourne, right?" the guy said, looking for the price. He glanced up at Steve; striped polo shirt, perfect swiped hair, and all. "It's not Wham! or ABBA. That'll be fifteen."
Steve handed him a twenty. "It's for my friend. He likes Ozzy. But he prefers Dio, but I much prefer Ozzy than Dio. So I will be buying this one, so I get to listen to it with him rather than having to listen to Dio." He took the bag the guy gave him. "But honestly, Mötley Crüe is my jam."
"Yeah man," the guy just looked weirded out, "here's your receipt."
Steve gave him finger guns. "Coolio, man," he said, trying to be slick, but he ended up tripping on the way out of the store.
At this point, gender nonconformity is about what the person says their experience is.
If a woman with a beard or a man with lipstick and a mustache says they're gender nonconforming, then they are! If a woman with short hair or a man with long hair says they aren't, they aren't! And that's not even getting into the awesome nonbinary, abinary, genderqueer, intersex, and general genderfuckery that may both be and not be conforming.
So much of what is even considered gender conforming or gender nonconforming is based on a world of exclusion. When we start defining one's conformity with whether they fit into white cishetero perisex standards or not, we play into the idea that there's only a very narrow window of what is considered worthy of time and thought.
as a tos-raised trek fan watching tng for the first time, i find myself yearning after the idea of sulu, chekov, uhura, or scotty getting their own slice of life episodes the way data and geordi or deanna occasionally do in tng... it would've been so nice to just follow them around the enterprise for a day watching them in their off-shift hours, getting into their own tomfoolery separate from the full bridge crew
I’d like to headcanon that some of the squad have shared playlists , and one giant one for them all . They check out each others Spotify or Amazon or YouTube idk what they use anyway they check it out and if it pairs similar to their own , they join together and create one to play when they are chilling or showing to the others . The BIG one is them all together , meaning lots and lots and lots of bickering over what song gets put in and what doesn’t . Usually , it’s just Aiden complaining about the songs he can’t add ( VERY mixed style , some songs are a little too goofy . But don’t worry , he’ll add them on when no one’s looking )
Here's another sweet Jam Reiderson connection: Jacob added Flume's Never Be Like You to one of his playlists back in 2016.
SAM IS IN THE VIDEO FOR THAT SONG...
which means that maybe, just MAYBE, unbeknownst to him, Jacob witnessed his future onscreen husband and real-life bestie cavorting around in various stages of undress 6 years before they actually met in person.
