Also I've been in this fandom for like 2.5 seconds approximately and I don't respect a single one of y'all BUT cmiiw the girlypop high femme lesbian mommy etcetc whatever PSH is a fairly new development isn't it. Like my first bias was Sanini but then I realized HJ is a diversely creative fairy prince who wears half-skirts, paints his nails and talks about fashion for men AND women and I was like O YES HI HELLO THIS ONE'S MINE HI. It's fascinating that apparently there's a whole genre of fans who see Joongie as the masculine dom to Hwa's willow-waisted femme omega bottom when like... They both have "masculine" and "feminine" traits. Above all that they're cool fun guys and I like them a lot (assigning gender to personality trait is finest grade dumbassery, not to mention gender essentialism. I don't recommend doing that)
#shrimp thoughts#just 2 be clear please do NOT take me for one of those nuts who make fun of people for seeing the 'wrong' character as the top/bottom#eg 'HE a TOP??? he's the SUBBIEST BOTTOM EVER lmfao whoever said this is a cishet teenage girl and doesn't know shit!!!'#I do not do that. However I generally don't like to see characters as strictly tops/strictly bottoms based on anything other than yknow.#Their canonically stated preferences (if they exist). Like cmon it's all fiction. 仲良くしましょう。#Same for like... that fortune teller or whatever telling San he's got feminine energy. First of all it's all a scam and I'm kinda#side-eyeing KQ for repeatedly sending the teezers to fortune tellers like y'all what. But second of all if Korea is anything like Japan the#their understanding of *sigh* feminine and masculine personality traits is different. See: Tomboy the song#to a westerner the girls are not even CLOSE to tomboys but in Japan a 'boyish' girl is simply one that's confident assertive#and takes no shit. so I wouldn't be surprised if San's 'femininity' was just his warmth and gentleness. though I wouldn't count these as#'feminine' traits -- if anything I'd talk about positive masculinity ALTHOUGH the way he talks about treating his potential future#daughters/the fanservicey lines about men needing to protect women/the things we know about his upbringing make me feel like he#has some... traditional ideas of masculinity in that a man is supposed to be emotionally resilient/not show weakness when his family#needs a strong pillar to lean on/protect what's his. but he's simply like... not a toxic asshole about it. his sincerity cuteness and#fondness of being a physically affectionate kittycat also help lol#anyway. that was julian's bullshit psychoanalysis corner. thankz

Hello Mister this letter had been sent to your person& delivered by Known means, and the subject of it is the Libel your person spreads&encourages vulnerable minds to spread; which are notoriously aff-ed most by the Propaganda you are concealing in your posts. This is a plea for you to repent and seek our Lord and Savior who will accept you as his child despite the sins you have commuted which include Staining the reputation of two respected and celebrated Men Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton who had built the free country of the United States and devised the laws on which it operates& famous for benevolence and intelligence of character. The legacy of the men should be cont. and celebrated Not tarnished by the likes of yourself believing in the false notion of homosexuality That is an ignorance unforgivable by me but I nurse the hope that you Will pursue the path of repentance and accept the punishment for your Deceit alongside with removing the offendable artwork you Had created which caused a belief to be formed in the impressionable minds of the Young; straying them away from the right path and to the one of liaison with men. Furthermore you appear to have posted a worrying amount of such and for that you must understand your wrongdoing but in admittance of such there will be no shame; however if you continue your reputation may remain soiled forever; A.B and A.H were reputable and would have not kissed they were both in possession of Wives with names which were women& sodomy was illegal in their days; you are to make an apology and you will be heard ,stop committing gay. Good day.
"Dear sir I hope this letter finds you in good health—" ass
I'm not one to beef with anons on the blog but you know what??? Since you took the sweet time out of your day to write allat I'll bite
I assure you I'm not out actively posting their. Historical counterparts getting it on and just their fun little fictionalized versions, which, by now, I believe a lot of people have decided to detach from the actual historical figures, and know what? I'm one of those people! I accept some historical facts as musical canon sometimes yes but I'm like. Yknow. Yknow
Yes sodomy is kinda sorta illegal and frowned upon back in their era accurately but have you considered: this isn't new either in. Fandom spaces. what the hell is a historical accuracy. And the musical isn't even accurate. Why should we gaf it's entertainment
I'm not even American man I'm a whole 2 oceans away in fact
Sleepy as hell but lemme get this across. 🎉I ship the musical/fictionalized versions of them rather than the actual historical guys🎉 and yes I do volunteer for my church at the same time . Insane work.
Hope you have an alright day tho God bless you or something

BAD NEWS, BAD REVIEWS. [ part one ]

FALLEN ANGEL:
noun
noun: fallen angel; plural noun: fallen angels
(in Christian, Jewish, and Muslim tradition) an angel who rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven.
[ YOUR NAME ], was a name that was hard to forget. It triggered many a reaction, spilled from the tongue of occupants Heaven and Hell alike, and always, always caused an uproar. She was what you'd call known. World-famous, in the big leagues of history. The baby girl in a quintet of exceptionally powerful celestial beings; she is not too pressed to be caught up in the affairs of humanity or the impending war looming between two of her brothers.
THE TROUBLE, of course, arises when she finds herself too intrigued by the sharp-mouthed, quick-witted little human man, who seemed to have her deadbeat daddy and all of Heaven ready to wet themselves to protect. She certainly was no hell-dweller by choice; if anything, the only time she stepped foot inside the cage was merely to poke fun at the fact that her big brother was still trapped and hopefully would be for many more centuries. However, this didn't mean she didn't stay informed.
She had few demons she trusted, the ones that didn't piss her off as much as the others, and when whispers of a human being snatched straight out of Hell and tossed back into Earth good as new start making their rounds, she's more than a little bit intrigued. Eager to lay her eyes on Heaven's champion, and boy, is she not disappointed.
DEAN WINCHESTER was slowly becoming a legend. A hunter of deadly precision who only became much more of a threat and liability the older he got. He was selfish at times, egotistical; he made rash decisions and would burn the entire world to dust for the sake of his baby brother. He was also charming and snarky, and he called her a "Feather-Faced Freak" more than he called her by her name. But that was an unfortunate side effect of a bad gene pool.
Dean and [ Your Name ] were an unlikely pair, a duo that spurned from sarcastic quips, back-and-forth banter, angry kisses that soon turned into hate fucking to 'take the edge off,' and then became something much worse. Something deadlier than any verbal or physical blow they could hurl at each other. Because the hate starts looking a lot less like hate, and monsters start to become a lot less like monsters through the blurred and messy lines of falling in love.
[ or the one where an Archangel offers Dean Winchester a blade to help him stand a chance in the impending war between Heaven and Hell. ]

→ premise: in which dean meets an archangel that has plans to throw a wrench in the impending war between Heaven and Hell, only to be sidetracked when their banter leads to sexual tension neither is strong enough to ignore ! [ or the one where dean slowly falls in love with a traitorous angel! ]
→ pairing: dean winchester x angel female!reader
→ series warnings: eventual smut, language, daddy issues. <3
→ a/n: honestly idk... inspired by @/whimcycles character.ai bot plot (that went in a vastly different direction than i'm certain the creator intended lol. probably doesn't really comply with canon at all, but yknow what it's fiction so f it we ball.
DEAN stood firm, his eyes narrowing as he scrutinized the woman before him. She stared at him with an almost smug countenance, and something about her set him off in the worst way. He brandished the knife more menacingly, a fierce glare in his eyes. "I'm going to send you back to hell where you came from."
The woman before him stood unmoving, her expression giving no indication of fear or apprehension. It was clear that she wasn't intimidated by Dean's threat, her otherworldly presence exuding a sense of calm indifference.
Dean's grip on the knife tightened as he prepared to strike. He wasn't going to let this unknown entity go easily.
With a sudden burst of anger, Dean lunged forward, the knife poised to strike. He had every intention of bringing her down, whatever she was. It didn't matter to him what she was or where she came from. "Say something damnit!" he shouts, visibly vibrating in his anger.
"Relax, He-Man. You'll bust a blood vessel if you keep shouting like that." she stares at him less than moved at his aggression. She had a suffocating air of confidence that near surrounded her like a cloud. The smirk she wore as she scrutinized him like a predator sizing up prey was downright infuriating.
Dean's eyes narrowed as he looked up at the creature. This one was definitely different from the usual demons he dealt with. She was stunningly beautiful, with a tall, statuesque figure that could easily turn heads. He lowered the knife slightly, taking a moment to take in her appearance. Despite himself, he felt a little caught off guard by her beauty. But he quickly shook off the feeling.
"He-Man, huh?" he said with a scoff, his usual cocky attitude peeking through. "Watch your tone, sweetheart."
"Or what? You gonna gut me-" she fakes a pout. "I don't think that'll work on me, sweet cheeks."
Dean raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips. He was used to being the one in control, the one with the power. But this creature was different. She was fearless and cocky, unafraid to challenge him. It was a bit refreshing, if he was being honest with himself. "Don't underestimate me, sweetheart," he said, taking a step closer, still brandishing the knife. "This isn't my first rodeo. I've taken down all kinds of monstrosities, including demons."
"Well your first mistake is for comparing me to those puss-filled sacks of garbage." she grunts angrily. She stares at him as if the comparison was some direct slander against her entire existence. "They're atrocities." she adds, lip curling slightly.
Dean's smirk widened as the creature's anger seemed to rise. She had fire in her, no doubt about it. He had a feeling that she wasn't going down without a fight. "Don't tell me you're one of those feathered-freaks then." he shakes his head in disbelief. "No way." and he notes the way her face contorts, almost like she's agitated by that assumption too. "Here on behalf of the man upstairs?"
"Yeah, right." she spits, eyes rolling. "Let's just say I'm not His biggest fan." she shrugs, "I'm what you'd call emotionally disconnected from the agenda." she explains callously. "A neutral party in this war brewing, that you seem to be smack dab in the middle of."
Dean's eyebrows raise at that, "Not all angels and demons are the same. Some can be downright charming," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "What makes you so different, sweetheart? Different breed of crazy or something?"
"Yeah, honey. Something like that-" she mocks with a frosty expression on her face. "What exactly is the extent of your knowledge on what this war is really about, sweetheart?"
And she's got him there, because he's about as blind as one could be. All he knew was that Castiel had ripped him out of hell, and since then the Angels had been showing up more and more with talks of burdens and heavy weights on shoulders.
"Yeah, that's what I thought." She mutters, and she's not mocking in the slightest. "Here's a history lesson, sweetie. Long before your kind were created God, or as you call him, the Big Man Upstairs, created his Angels." she crosses her arms. "Five came first. "Five siblings. Four boys and a babygirl, what you'd call Heaven's big leagues-" she expresses crossly.
"Long story short: thing changed… they really changed. and as of now I'd say the siblings aren't on the… best of terms." and she bristles even more. "Which is why I'm not so keen on helping either side." and she's let her hands drop down to rest on her hips.
Dean's eyes widened as she spoke, the shock and surprise evident on his face. "Wait, wait…" he stammers, his brain working overtime to comprehend what she just said. "You're trying to tell me that you're one of them? One of the first?"
"Ding ding ding. Looks like you win a prize." she drawls.
"Why are you telling me all of this?" Dean demands, hand still gripping his knife like a vice.
"I figured since Sammy's got a demon in his corner, you deserved a fighting chance-" she explains loosely.
Dean's eyes widened at her words. His grip on the knife visibly tightened, and the muscles of his jaw tensed. "Sam... You know about Sam?" he asked, his voice low. "And Ruby it seems."
"Course-" she says curtly. "Every demon and Angel in existence knows about Sam." she explains. "It doesn't help that Azazel kind of pumped him up to be Hell's next head honcho."
"Head honcho…" he muttered to himself, shaking his head. Dean knew that this wasn't good. He knew the expectations that were placed on Sam, knew what the demon's end game was. "But why tell me this?" he questioned her, still suspicious of her motives. "Why does this matter to you?"
"It doesn't." she deadpans. "Not really. But, whether you think so or not, when it comes to brothers versus girls … especially girls like Ruby… the girl wins every single time." she explains. "Ruby's poisoning Sam's opinion of you, and at some point it'll get so bad that he won't want to hear jack squat from you at all. He won't care about your opinion, he won't care about much else besides whatever bullshit Ruby's manipulating him with. Whether it's his savior complex- or something else…" she explains.
He listened to her words with a mixture of surprise and skepticism. He hadn't expected her to be this upfront with him, to be so bluntly honest. Her words struck a nerve. The thought of Sam being manipulated, of Ruby poisoning his opinion… it made him angry. Angry and… scared. He didn't want to lose his brother, didn't want to lose the only family he had left. He swallowed hard, trying to bury the emotions that were welling up inside him.
He had to be strong. He had to stay focused.
"Do you even know what Ruby's doing with your brother- how he was able to get so good at using his abilities?"
Dean's brow furrows as he shakes his head.
"Of course I do." he snaps. "My brother told me all about how she trained him. How she saved his life, alright? She looked after him." he sneers, "Guess that throws a wrench in your whole big reveal, sweetheart."
She snorts, "Oh yeah? So you know that she's got him drinking her blood?" her eyebrows raise mockingly. "That demon blood's the only thing potent enough to make his powers all the more deadly?"
It takes a moment for her words to finally sink in, and as soon as it does, Dean's eyes widen in realization.
She smirks smugly at that, "Ooh boy, looks like he didn't mention that part." she taunts, and he cuts his eyes at her sharply.
"Shut up!" he demands, and she raises her hands in mock defense. His hands clenched into fists, anger and worry churning within him. "Sonofabitch.." he growls, cursing under his breath. He had suspected something, but hearing the words- hearing something like this from another person was… Devastating. That little voice in the back of his head, the one always telling him the worst could happen… it was screaming at him now. Telling him that Sam was lost, that he was slipping further and further away…
"I don't know her endgame… I don't even know if she actually cares about, Sam- I just know you'd be more than stupid to trust her." Aly explains coldly. "I obviously can't help you fight-" she motions to herself. "Conflict of interest and all- but.. she's not the only one who can get their hands on some pretty knifty things that'll make that steak knife you've got look like plastic cutlery."
Dean frowned, still trying to process everything she had said. Part of him wanted to just walk away, ignore this whole thing altogether. But another part, the part that cared about his brother, was telling him to listen.
He gave a slight nod, his eyes meeting hers in a determined glare.
"Fine." he said begrudgingly. "What do you have in mind?"
"How much do you know about why your angel pulled you from the pit?" she questions, arms crossing.
"Not a whole lot," he answered honestly. "Why? You know something I don't?"
She purses her lips, disappointed. "Guess not." she denies, and she knows what she's about to give him would absolutely get her killed if it got out. "Look- there's a blade, one that's strong enough to kill an Archangel. It exists-" and she clenches her hand tightly. "You won't need it for Ruby- for her you could use that if you decide to kill her-" and she points to the one in his hand, the one she was certain he'd procured from Ruby anyway.
"There are about five in existence-" she explains. "I don't know if you'll be able to stop Lucifer's return- but I know if you have one of those you'll at least have a fighting chance. And it could help you save your brother-" she trails off. "Before it's too late…"
He stared at her for a moment, letting her words sink in. He was surprised by the amount of knowledge she had... he had expected a few minor tidbits, but nothing like this. His mind raced as he tried to decide if he could trust her words. Was she telling the truth, or just stringing him along?
"And what's the catch?" he asked, his gaze hardening.
"Let's just say it's not in my best interest to jump in the fight head on." she admits, nails popping. "But I want Lucifer gone- just as much as anybody else. And I don't trust anybody else- not the angels... certainly not the demons-" she explains. "So I'm trusting you."
He let out a sigh, running a hand over his face. He had always trusted his gut, and his gut told him she was trustworthy.
Well, as trustworthy as a demon could be, and in this situation, he needed all the help he could get.
"Alright, alright… so where are these blades then?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Each Archangel has one." she says, and she bristles, mostly because she was certain what she said next would absolutely blow his mind. "Michael, Lucifer, Raphael, Gabriel, [ YOUR NAME ] " she explains wistfully.
"And let me get this straight, you're [ YOUR NAME ], is that right?" Dean asks.
"Guilty." she says dryly. "It's complicated." she corrects a second after.
Dean's surprised, not quite expecting her to admit it so blatantly. She was one of the original five Angels. There was something about the way she said it that tugged at something within Dean. "Complicated? What, Angel life not all it's cracked up to be? Aren't you guys all about obedience and holding hands and all that other crap?" he questions as she rolls her eyes in annoyance.
"Yeah, well do you do everything your daddy tells you?" she asks.
Dean's grip on the knife tightened as the question hit a nerve within him. His relationship with his father was always complicated, and she obviously knew it. He swallowed hard, his voice tense as he said, "No. I don't." He didn't want to delve too deep into his personal life with this demon, but something told him that she understood, whether he wanted her to or not.
"Well let's just say angels have daddy issues sometimes too." she offers meagerly with a shrug.
Dean blinked, trying to process everything she had just said. 'Angel family issues' just wasn't something he had expected to hear about today. "So- wait, hold on…" he said, his brow furrowing. "You're an archangel, but you don't want Lucifer to come back?" He scratched the back of his head, trying to piece everything together. This was more complicated than he'd ever expected…
"It's not exactly like any of them are doing me any favors." she expresses. "If my brothers come it won't be good for any of you. It'll trigger what you call the Apocalypse and without the right help you won't stand a chance."
Dean frowned, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. He wanted to trust her… But trust was a commodity that was hard to come by these days. "Why should I trust you? I don't even know you, and no offense, but the fact that you're an Archangel doesn't really do you a lot of favors either, sweetheart. So far I'm supposed to believe everything you're saying based on what? Your word?"
"No." she denies, and she's pulling out a gold-stemmed blade. "You're supposed to trust me based on the facts." she says. "I do not consider myself someone who enjoys wasting anyone's time." she explains. "I don't have anything else to lose-" she adds, "My father is a piece of shit, and my brothers are at war… getting killed by a human like you is honestly not super high on my things to be concerned about list. If you do it, you do it. I'll be done with this bullshit, and you'll be bladeless and have to deal with the repercussions on your own."
His eyes widened as he takes in the weapon, his eyes darting between her face and the blade she was holding. The fact that she didn't have anything to lose only made it worse. "You're really willing to just give this to me?" he asked, his voice dripping with skepticism. "No questions asked?"
She snorts, "Would you like me to make it more difficult for you?"
Dean hesitated for a moment, his eyes locked on the blade. He didn't trust her… but he needed every advantage he could get. And if there was even a chance… He lifted one eyebrow, a hint of a smirk playing across his face. "Yeah, yeah, why not." he said, shrugging. "I like a challenge."
"Fine." she says dryly, and just like that she's putting the blade away. "Why don't you go ask your buddy Castiel about [ YOUR NAME ] - and see how good I am at challenges." she instructs, and now she's the one smirking. "It's kind of my thing-" she tsks.
He stared at her for a long moment, his eyes narrowed and his jaw clenched. How on earth did she know about Castiel? "You know about Castiel?" he demanded, the suspicion clear in his voice. "How do you know about him?"
"Archangel, short bus-" she motions to herself. He frowned, annoyance flaring in his eyes. He hated being insulted- especially when his intelligence was being called into question.
"What's that supposed to-" and he falters. "Wait. Do you mean you're an actual archangel? Like, not just making it up or some BS?"
She stares at him for a long while. "Do you think I pulled the name Castiel out of my ass?" she questions. "If I remember correctly, the last time a demon talked to you Winchesters about an angel she was freaked out of her mind. Do I look freaked?"
Damn brat. She had a point. She didn't seem panicked- she seemed as calm now as she did when they first met. His expression darkened as his suspicions were confirmed. He didn't want to believe it... but deep down, he knew it had to be true. "Fine. Let's say that I buy it-" he said, still glaring at her. "How do I know you're not just messing with us? How do I know you're not on Lucifer's side?"
"You don't." she says. "But this-" and she's got the blade in her hand again. She holds out her arm, taking the edge and pressing it against her skin in a way that made her bare her teeth in pain. "Wouldn't be something I'd give you if I was on Lucifer's side-" she gasps, pulling the blade away from the spot that was now dripping blood as she held the base firmly in her hand.
Dean's eyes widened as he watched her cut herself with the blade. The sight of her unbothered by the knife cutting into her skin sent a shiver down his spine, despite himself. He hated to admit it, but there was a morbid fascination as well. She was right- there was no way a demon would willingly do that. If she was on Lucifer's side, it would be too risky.
He hesitated for a moment, biting the inside of his cheek. "Alright, alright, fine-" he said, his voice firm but wavering just a bit. "I believe you. You're not on Lucifer's side... But that doesn't explain why you're helping me. Why me?"
"You and your brother are a pretty big topic of conversation in my family."
That didn't exactly make him feel better. He and Sam being a topic of conversation among the Archangels was not exactly ideal. "So they're talking about us, huh?" he said, his tone sarcastic. "What are they sayin' ? Anything good I hope."
"Nothing I can tell you now-" she answers instantly. "Lucifer has an interest in your brother-" she does offer. "My big brother Michael, has an interest in you-" she explains. "Don't you wonder why there's so much talk of War? Why Castiel told you that there's a heavy weight on your shoulders?" she reminds him.
His expression darkened at her words. Lucifer had an interest in Sam, Michael had an interest in him... it all started to make sense now. He didn't like it one bit.
He shook his head, his jaw clenched.
"Yeah, yeah I know all about the weight of this war." he muttered. "But I'm supposed to just trust you? How do I know you're not just playing some long-con here, huh? How do I know you're not just trying to manipulate me for your own benefit?"
"Our father is not all he's cracked up to be." she says with a near snarl. "So In a way I guess I am." she shrugs. "My long-con is simply a desire to see both my brothers get the recompense they fucking deserve. I'm not part of their war- I'm not anything special..." she mutters. "I love my brothers... despite everything, but they're not the same- and that's my father's fault." she expresses.
"My father put me down here to teach me some lesson-" she adds. "To fall in line or be dealt with like the rest of you, like scum." and she looks more hurt than angry. "And you- the human with nothing to gain from saving people the way you do... do it anyway." she admits. "Can't pretend it doesn't intrigue me even if I wanted to-"
He listened to her, trying to understand everything she was saying. He didn't expect any of this, but he could tell that she was telling the truth. And he had to admit, it tugged at his heartstrings to hear her talk about her experience with her family, hearing about her father, the anger. He couldn't imagine the pain she had to be feeling right now… "Yeah, well…" he said, shifting his weight. "I've been called a bleeding heart before."
"And it's a good thing, Dean-"
He blinked, surprised by her words. He didn't expect to get praised for that. He wasn't used to it, to say the least. "Good... thing?" he echoed, his brow furrowing. "You... you seriously think so?"
She stares at him again, cogs turning in her mind. "You are nothing like the others say-" she admits, and it's surprising.
He was starting to get uncomfortable with all the staring, but he kept his mouth shut. He didn't want her to stop complimenting him right now... "Oh yeah? How so?" he questioned, tilting his head to the side as he tried to read her expression.
"When people mention you- there's... there's a fear, obviously. Your hunting capabilities are near impossible to understand. Something that for you will only get better with time-" she says this more like she's speaking to herself. "But they- they say you are selfish- ignorant, cocky-" and she appraises him further. "Ruby particularly does not have the fondest of opinions of you..." her eyes narrow.
"But you do care about people, don't you? You do this job not because you have no other choice... but because you genuinely care about your kind..."
He listened to her words, feeling a mix of confusion and pride. His hunting skills being described as impossible to understand? That was... kinda cool. But hearing that people thought he was selfish and ignorant? Self-centered? That hurt. Especially Ruby. He knew she didn't like him, but hearing about it still stung. "Yeah, yeah I care about people..." he muttered, avoiding her gaze. "And I do this job because nobody else wants to do it. There's a lot of innocent people who need protecting from the evil things of this world."
Her head shakes. "It's- I can see why Heaven would want to recruit you." she can admit. "They see you as the perfect soldier-" she admits, "But you're not... controllable, are you?" her head tips to the side as if she was really trying to understand him. "You are not someone they will be able to mold into their design, and I think that's good- it'll be a wake up call for them, and you will come out on the other side just fine." she says with a quiet puff of breath. "You're interesting, Dean."
He raised an eyebrow at her words. He was going to be a wake up call? Just how important did she think he was? Sure, he had some tricks up his sleeve, but he wasn't some kind of game changer.
And did she just call him interesting?
"Interesting, huh? Not sure if I should be offended by that or not..." he joked lightly, a smirk playing across his lips. He watched as the blood continued to trickle down her arm, feeling the same morbid fascination. The sight of her blood was strange, yet oddly beautiful, like everything about her. His eyes lingered on the sight for a moment before he snapped out of it.
"I just mean… you are more than you seem. Outwardly you look like the bad guy… bet you feel like it sometimes too." and she purses her lips. "And some part of you- for some reason can't seem to believe good things about yourself. Or why someone would be interested in using you. You have a strong will, Dean- when you have something to fight for, you are near invincible- you've proven that…" and she hums. "How many times has death evaded you? You think someone unimportant would be able to swing something like that?"
He listened as she seemed to pick apart everything that made him… him. She was right, of course. He did feel like the bad guy most of the time. He had done a lot of things he wasn't proud of. And hearing someone point it all out was… uncomfortable. "Yeah, alright, fine. You're right. I'm a little stubborn, and I've probably cheated death more than I care to admit. But it's not like I've never been beaten before- I may be good, but I'm not invincible."
"You're the only person I know who managed to get plucked from the pits of Hell." she corrects him sternly. "I'm not calling you a God, just pointing out the facts. You and your brother are not any regular hunters." and she takes a small step back. "That's all-"
He grumbled a little under his breath, still not comfortable with her praise. "Yeah, yeah I know-" he muttered, scratching the back of his head. "I'm one of a kind, special and all that crap..."
"I didn't call you special." she corrects him.
He paused, a bit surprised by her words. He had been expecting another compliment, some more praise about how special he was. "You... didn't? You're not gonna wax poetry about how important I am?"
"Course not. I don't see it as an honor to be God's chosen." She mutters coldly.
He raised an eyebrow, the corners of his lips tugging upwards into a smirk. "You serious? Being God's chosen is the most important thing in the world! You should be begging to be God's chosen!" he teases sarcastically.
She shoots him an incredulous glance. "You think so?"
"At least if you were God's chosen, you'd know you were on the winning team."
"And do you know that?" she questions crossly.
He paused, thrown off by her question. Did he know that? Well… He hesitated, then responded in a quieter voice. "… No."
"Right." she says with a firm nod. "It's not as black and white as that book makes it seem, take some of the smugness out of your voice, won't you?"
He narrowed his eyes at her, still a bit surprised by her bluntness.
"Hey, I'm just stating the facts, sweetheart. And the facts are that between Michael and Lucifer, I'm definitely gonna side with Michael any day of the week."
"Well then good luck with that, sweetheart."
He rolled his eyes again, amused by her sarcasm. He decided to play along. "Oh, I will have good luck, sweetheart. Because Michael is gonna kick Lucifer's ass back in the cage where he belongs."
She bristles at his words, made more than a bit apparent he still had no clue what role his brother played in everything.
She bristles. "Dean-" and she immediately slams her mouth shut. Because she couldn't say anything. Not about how Michael had actually chosen Dean to invade. And how Lucifer had chosen Sam, and how his words held a far darker meaning than he might have believed.
He raised an eyebrow at her words, noticing the change in her behavior. She seemed like she was going to say something… then stopped herself. Dean was suspicious, to say the least. He had a bad feeling in his gut about what she was hiding.
"What? You got something to say? Don't hold back now."
"There are things I want to tell you that will likely get me killed once I say them-" she admits grimly. "And while I do not mind if you decide you want to try and kill me- I do not want to wait for… for any of my father's other children to decide that they will kill me for- for speaking out of turn-" she expresses forlornly.
His suspicion grew with each word she said. She wanted to tell him something, something that could get her… killed. What could be so important that… "You don't trust your own family," he said, realization dawned on him. "They would really kill you just for talking to me?"
"If they find out I tried to give you an archangel blade they surely will."
He was speechless for a moment, simply staring at her. "Why are you so willing to go against your family like this?"
She squeezes her hands together, nails piercing her palms. Fuck it. Worst case scenario, she'd have to shed this vessel and find another one. "Because I care about humanity." she expresses. "And I happen to have taken a begrudging sort of appreciation towards you as well, Dean. And your brother means the world to you, does he not?"
He was speechless for a moment again, caught off guard by her honesty. He hadn't expected her to admit that she cared about humanity, and certainly not that she cared about him- even if it was just a begrudging appreciation. And once again, she brought his brother into the conversation. He swallowed hard, thinking about Sammy…
"Lucifer intends to inhabit your brother-" and once she's said it, there's no going back.
His whole body tensed up at her words. He could feel his heart beating fast in his chest.
Lucifer…
Lucifer wanted to…
"Possess… Sam?" he forced himself to say.
"It's not possession Dean." she denies, because it was so much more than that. "Your brother was chosen- born specifically to be Lucifer's vessel. My brother chose him."
He felt a chill go down his spine at her words. His baby brother was chosen... created to be Lucifer's vessel?! He felt a surge of anger and fear at the same time, and he clenched his fists tightly.
"Why?" he demanded, his voice trembling slightly. "Why the hell would Lucifer want to possess Sam?"
"I suppose for the very same reason Michael intends to inhabit you." she explains grimly.
His gaze flicked to her, a mixture of disbelief and anger. Michael intended to possess him...? He gritted his teeth frustratedly, shaking his head in denial. "No," he stated. "That's not gonna happen. Michael isn't gonna possess me!"
"Of course-" she agrees, head tilting slightly as a sign of submission. "And so now you understand why you cannot turn your back on Ruby? I think she's using Sam's wish to save people as a means to open the final seal to release my brother."
His eyes widened slightly at her words. She… she was right. Ruby was using Sam's desire to do good, to help people, as a way to release Lucifer. He ran a hand through his hair in frustration, realizing that they were all just puppets in this game. And Lucifer was the one pulling the strings…
"I don't have much time- I will have to... find a new body quickly." she admits, and she inhales sharply. "I was not supposed to be the one to tell you all of this- I'm sorry you had to learn it without the necessary gentleness, but I don't have time to be gentle. My brothers are setting the stage, their armies are ready- with you and your brother as the main event. Protect him, and protect yourself."
He listened to her words, trying to process everything she was saying. It was a lot to take in, and there were so many questions running through his mind… But there was one question in particular that burned inside him, and he couldn't hold it back any longer. He took a step closer to her and spoke in a low, intense voice…
"Why are you helping me? After all of this, telling me all of this- why should I trust you? Why are you really doing this?"
"What are you waiting for some supervillain origin story?" she asks. "It's not so crazy that there are people in the world who care and what to see you be okay, Dean." she snaps.
His eyes narrowed as she snapped at him, and he took another step forward, closing the distance between them. "You care?" he repeated, his voice dripping with sarcasm. And… something else. Maybe… "Since when do angels, or archangels, care about us mere mortals?"
"They don't." she corrects him, eyes narrowing as she glares. "And don't get it twisted, "Castiel, he cares about you, he likes you." she emphasizes. "I just want to see you be okay." she deadpans dryly. "Not mutually exclusive, and certainly not proof that I give any more of a damn about you than anyone else." she huffs.
He swallowed hard, his heart skipping a beat with the mention of Castiel. God, how did he always manage to creep into their conversations... He ignored it for now though, and focused on her words. She said she just wanted him to be okay. That wasn't proof that she cared... But still... "Why?" he repeated in a hushed voice. "Why do you want me, or... anyone else, to be okay? We're nothing but... worthless humans."
"Worthless humans, worthless angels, worthless demons. All the same to me-" she says with a careless shrug. "And you're encroaching my space, back up- now." she adds, chest heaving as her heart stutter steps at how close he was, looming over her with their current height difference.
He paused, realizing that he had indeed gotten way too close. He took a step back, a little sheepishly, and put his hands up in surrender. "Sorry," he muttered. "Didn't realize how close I was."
He paused again, still trying to understand her.
"So... you care about all of us, right? Humans, angels, demons... all of us worthless creatures?"
"I don't think any one person should represent an entire species. There are some demons who are a product of unfortunate circumstances... Vampires, werewolves, witches that genuinely mean no harm. There are angels- my siblings that I love and care about-" she says. "There are some humans-" and she has to look away to avoid growing bashful. "There are some humans that are not so bad-" she admits. "I don't care about any one group as a whole. I care about the individual- what I don't want for anyone is for them to be taken out on account of my family's issues-" she explains.
He raised an eyebrow, surprised by her answer. She… cared about individuals, not groups. And there were humans she… cared about. He swallowed hard, feeling a strange flutter in his chest. But he quickly pushed it away, focusing on her words. He nodded, understanding her point. "So you don't like it when individuals get caught up in your family issues," he summarized. "That's… understandable. But sometimes it's not as easy as that to not get caught up in them. Family… is complicated. Trust me, I know…"
"Humans don't deserve to die because my brothers are fighting. Towns shouldn't be destroyed because angels think they're superior." she crosses her arms. "I'm aware- I'm practically the poster child for daddy and mommy issues-" she huffs. "And I'm just the runt little sister, nothing special- nothing cosmic happening on account of me."
He winces sympathetically as she mentions daddy and mommy issues- he knows all about that. But he was surprised to hear her describe herself as the 'runt little sister'.
He shook his head firmly.
"Hey, don't belittle yourself like that. You're a freakin' archangel. Just because you're the youngest doesn't mean you're not special or cosmic or whatever." He paused, shaking his head again. "Don't sell yourself short, sweetheart," he scolded gently.
Sweetheart. That was dangerous. "You misunderstand." she promises. "This isn't a matter of insecurity or low self value." she continues. "My brothers are leagues more powerful than you may even be able to comprehend." she explains quietly.
"I am certainly not as weak as a regular angel- but I am not even old enough to try and compete with my four brothers. Gabriel, he has incomparable power..." she explains. "Which makes all my other brothers eons more powerful than Gabriel." she expresses. "My father loved me, and he trained me, forced me to be stronger so that I could keep up. So I wouldn't slow them down-" she says.
"But I will always be the little sister- the youngest- the smallest..." She adds. "And now the traitor-" she shrugs. "But once Lucifer fell, I became that anyway- I understand how it feels to love your brother even when you don't understand him." she explains.
He listened to her explanation, a mixture of sympathy and anger in his chest. He knew what it felt like to be the youngest, to feel like the weakest. But the way she described her family...
He shook his head again, frustrated.
"I get it, okay? I get that you're the youngest and all that. But how does that make you a traitor," he insisted. "You're trying to help us, right? To stop the apocalypse..."
"It's more than that." she corrects him. "I am trying to kill them." she explains. "And I'm sure Michael will be more than happy to execute his just punishment if he manages to get his hands on me-" she clutches her chest as she starts to panic- mostly thinking about how Lucifer had been sealed up, left to his own devices to go crazy for centuries. "It'll be fine-" she says unconvincingly. "I'm not changing my mind about this-"
"Hey, hey, hey, sweetheart," he said gently, reaching out to gently grasp her shoulders to steady her. "You really think Michael will be able to get his hands on you?" He asked her intently, trying to soothe her. "I mean from where I'm standing you look pretty badass."
"I am pretty badass." she agrees, "But Michael's my father's go-to for a reason. If he puts a hit out on your head you're as good as dead." she shrugs. "But, I don't care. My end justifies the means." She then notes how Dean's got his hands on her shoulders. "You're close again..." she admits with a huff.
"Is that bothering you?"
She sets her jaw, eyes narrowing just slightly. "For someone who started this conversation practically vibrating in disgust at the very sight of me, you're certainly giving off different signals now." she reroutes, choosing not to answer his question in plain words.
"Yeah, well maybe you made a good impression on me." he offers in that smug little way that was so very Dean.
"I think that's bullshit." she retorts.
"Why?" and their banter is easy, almost too easy. It's not anything like Dean expected, and if he's honest, he's got no idea why he is so close. "Don't I seem like a trustworthy sort of person? I mean, you trust me enough to take on your family." he reminds her with a smirk.
She narrows her eyes further, trying to fight the little smile that wants to worm onto her face. "That's different." she says adamantly.
"That's a load of crap if I've ever heard some." he taunts, and she rolls her eyes. "You don't gotta act shy with me, sweetheart, trust me." he fully smiles then. "A sweetheart like yourself should be able to handle a little bit of closeness." he adds with a grin.
"I have a name." she reminds him gingerly. "You seemed to have forgotten-"
He raised an eyebrow at her statement. "Well, I don't exactly make a point to learn archangels' names," he retorted, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "I don't think you'll mind too much if I just call you 'sweetheart'. It suits you, especially when you get all flustered like this..."
"I'm not flustered." she argues. "Totally cool, calm, and collected." she challenges. And she juts out her chin, looking up at him in a determined sort of way. "And does that usually work on everyone? That whole sweetheart thing? Did it work on your little blonde wannabe- hunter?" and she hates that she's a bit obsessed with him - obsessed enough to have followed up on him, learned enough about him to try and rattle him.
Dean's eyes narrowed as she mentioned Jo. His face darkened with anger. "Shut up!" he near hisses.
"Touchy… is there a story about you and Joanna I should know about?" she asks with a smirk.
Dean's face reddened. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his emotions. "What? No! There's nothing between me and Jo. We're friends. Just friends." He couldn't let her think there was anything else there. Nothing at all.
"Oh, but that's not what she wants right?" and she giggles, a pretty little bubbly sound that near explodes out of her. "You humans are so fascinating." she admits with a huff.
Dean's face flushed deeper as she mentioned Jo and what she wanted. "Shut it, sweetheart," Dean snapped, his tone heated. But he couldn't deny her words, even if he hated to admit it. Jo had made her feelings for him clear on numerous occasions, but he had always shut it down… or at least tried to.
"What's so damn fascinating?" he asked, narrowing his eyes at her.
Her eyes seem to light up at his reaction, "Your emotions... they're always just so clear as day on your faces." she expresses as she rounds the couch she'd been standing behind. "And you're so loyal, so damn loyal to the people you care about." she adds with a hum. "The way your emotions guide you, it's stupid, but fascinating."
Dean's eyes followed her as she rounded the couch, his gaze wary. He felt uneasy under her scrutiny, as if she was looking right through him. She was able to read him like a book, and it made him feel exposed and vulnerable. He hated it, but deep down, a part of him was strangely excited by her curiosity. He couldn't deny that he wore his emotions on his sleeve, but he wasn't about to let her see how much she was affecting him.
"Well, we humans have hearts," he said with a sarcastic shrug.
"I have a heart, honey." she corrects him dryly. "Don't pretend like your little storybooks have told you anything about me."
Dean's eyes widened, a shiver running down his spine at her words. She was ancient, much older than he had realized. The thought of someone like her, having a heart... it was like she was saying she was capable of feeling real emotion. But he refused to believe it. She had to be evil, plain and simple.
"No, you don't," he retorted, trying to mask his unease with bravado. "Demons don't have hearts."
"Archangels aren't the same." she sneers, "And your disrespect has been noted."
Dean regretted his words. He didn't want to anger her, but her demeanor and her attitude were making it hard for him to be anything but defiant. "Disrespect? You're a demon, a monster. You can't expect me to treat you like you're some normal-"
He stopped short, realizing his words too late. He had almost said "like you're some normal person." He knew that she would notice, but he couldn't admit that, even to himself, he was starting to see he was enjoying their banter a lot more than he anticipated.
"And do tell me- oh wise one, what I have done that's so monstrous?"
Dean's eyes narrowed, his jaw tensing. Was she really asking him that? "You really need me to tell you? You're a demon! You're evil. You possess people and cause chaos and terror. You feed on pain and misery. You kill-" He swallowed hard, trying to force down the mental image of her blood dripping down her arm.
"Oh yeah?" and she's stepping closer to him. "Here's a little fun fact, when you're as old as I am, and have as much power as I do- you find that you don't have to do things like possessing people to get around- and for the last damn time, I'm not a demon." she corrects his first assumption. "Your reaction to my bloodied arm says a lot more about your desire to feed on pain than anything you could make up i your head about me." she says with a smirk.
"I saw your face- that little glint in your eye."
Dean was taken aback by her words, his resolve faltering. She had been watching him, noticing the change in his expression when she had cut herself. And she was right- there had been something in his eyes, a morbid fascination. He'd never experienced that before, not with a demon. He tensed as she stepped closer, struggling to keep his composure.
"You're just ten cans-o-crazy, huh?" and he's trying to regain a semblance of control to his wavering tone. "Ain't no part of me fascinated about you, sweetheart." She smirks, eyes flickering down to the clear proof that he was full of shit.
"Sure, sure." she hums, feigning boredom. "You wanna get back on topic now, honey?" she mumbles, "Or you wanna keep going around in circles so you can cop another look?"
Brat. Dean's eyes roll at her smugness.
"You always this damn smug? Or am I a special case?"
"Do you want the blade or not, Winchester?" she questions, exasperated. "Cans-O-Crazy like me have got loads of life to live, can't afford to be stuck here all day with you." she hums, head tipping over to the side.
Dean scrutinizes her, eyes narrowing again. He holds a hand out towards her, almost like he's annoyed as he gives her an expectant glance.
She pulls the blade out, face still smug. "That's what I thought." she mumbles.
"Who's to say I won't take this and gut you with it?" he asks leisurely, and he's reaching for it, watching as she yanks it back away from him.
"Trust me, Dean. I'm worth a lot more to you alive than dead." she shrugs. "But do what you want- so long as you have the balls to use it when it actually matters." she deadpans.
"You that suicidal?" he asks, eyebrow raising. "Hate yourself that much?"
"I'm not scared of death, Dean." she grunts. "Certainly not at the hands of you. Now can you handle it or not?" she demands.
"I can handle anything." he promises.
"Good." and she slaps the blade into his grasp. "Now why don't you look out for your brother." she mutters like she's completely detached from him. The way she looks at him like he's near nothing pisses him off.
"I look out for Sam." he defends.
"Yeah, well try doing it better. Ruby's running circles around you. And honestly it's getting kind of pathetic." she mumbles, and Dean's eyes widen.
"Pretty smart to run your mouth after you gave me this-" and he shakes it like a maraca. "You wanna run that by me again?"
"Sure." and she takes a step closer, stoic faced. "Ruby's making you look like a damn joke." she insists. "Don't let your guard down around her, Dean." she insists.
"You got a plan in mind or something?"
"Isn't that your damn job, Mr. Champion of Heaven?" she mocks. "He's your brother, right?" and Dean's eyes roll. "And she's still just a demon." she reminds him. "Just be smart, easy enough for you, right?" she mocks.
"You know you've got a bad attitude." Dean notes, glaring down at her. She looks smugly as she looks back at him.
"And you're too sensitive." she shoots back. "You're not a puppet, Dean. You're smarter than you look and smarter than you think, alright? I don't need to hold your hand or- or give you the steps to take. You're a hunter. And anything can be hunted." she says sternly. "Simple as that." and she's backing away, arms crossing once more.
"Sounded a bit like a compliment in there." he retorts, stomach tightening up at the way she seemed to see right through him. "Guess I should say thank you!"
"Your thank you will be stopping the Apocalypse." she deadpans. "Don't get it twisted, sweetheart. I'm not doing this cause I like you."
"Yeah, sure, sure. Whatever you say." Dean agrees with a sarcastic nod of his head. "You keep telling yourself that."
"Shut up!" and she's turning on her heel. "Don't get yourself killed anytime soon, doofus. I'll be in touch." and then she pauses by the door, suddenly more serious. "If you ever need to reach me just- pray, and I'll show up." she mutters, as Dean's face contorts into one of disbelief. "Can the Atheism for a second, I'm not saying you gotta get down on one knee. It's as simple as saying my name to yourself. Shouldn't be too hard for a smart guy like you?"
And he hates her all over again.
He's sure he always will.

What are Rocky Horror characters favourite and least favourite song from each production (1973 & 74 stage productions, 1975 movie, 2015 live show, and 2016 remake)?
AAAAAHHHH I LOVE IT SM TYTYTYYYYY
(I love every single song on most of the soundtracks generally speaking so this was fun LOLLL)
Frank: As a rule, you will find that Frank's favorites are ALWAYS his numbers!!! They rank highest no matter what!!! For 1973, it's I'm Going Home because he loves the way that all of the emotions sound, it made him cry when he heard it! For 1974, it's Sweet Transvestite as he feels it's "fully blossomed!" With the better recording studio! He loves it so much!!! For the movie, he loves Planet Schmanet as he thinks it blossomed once it was transposed into this key!!! He's so thrilled with it!!! In 2015, he loves his parts in the Floor Show!!! He thinks it's done so masterfully!! And in 2016 he loves I Can Make You A Man!!!! Basically, he's obsessed with himself but a different number stands out to him as the most wonderful every time! He loves it so much!!! And, if you say anything bad about any performance of any of his numbers, he will SCREAM! It doesn't matter if he agrees with you, he will scream. And yknow what? That's fair!
Frank's least favorites: Frank does NOT like the way that Hot Patootie steals his thunder!!! In 1973 that song hit and he wanted to scream like never before!!!! By 1974, he realized that he also loathed Toucha Toucha for a very similar reason! He did not like to be witness to Janet fucking Rocky! Especially not when she had as sexy of a voice as Abigale Haness!!! It made him SO jealous!!! When it came time for the movie, he wanted to cut what he deemed "boring" and was THRILLED when they cut Once in a While! In 2015, they changed it a bit and he liked it good enough! However, he really didn't like Dammit Janet because he thought that romance was disgusting and boring and icky! And he's wrong but still! In 2016, found himself right back to hating Hot Patootie!!! They cast a celebrity like Adam Lambert??? He's about ready to go insane! But we love him for it!!!
Brad: Brad loves the songs that don't super overwhelm him!!! He's got a lot of love for Once in a While in the 1973 recording because of how gentle it is, and he likes its beat in the 1974 recording, too!!! In the movie, he loves Dammit Janet! It reminds him of how much he loves his woman and he thinks that its such a fun number! In the 2016 version that favoritism holds up because he finds Ben Forster's Once in a While to be more pop-ish and less and acoustic! He loves the poppiness in Dammit Janet though, it feels just right!!! He loves Superheroes in the 2016 version!!! Its the song he listens to when he's crying, and I think that that's a fantastic choice on his part!!!
Brad's least favorites: Brad is on the other side of the equation in, like Frank, having a reason for not liking Toucha Toucha all that much sometimes! On one hand, it's his wife's big number and he loves it so much, on the other hand, she is in fact singing about how enthusiastic she is to fuck another man! And he's not thrilled about that!!! In 1973, that was really the first thing on his mind!! He also gets really frustrated at Planet Schmanet once it comes out in 1974! That's so his wife goddamn it!!! This isn't fair!!!! In the movie, he's really pissed at Sweet Transvestite as well because he really did just wanna use that telephone and it's getting really irritating that he isn't getting it!!! Also, he's upset that they cut his verse in Over at the Frankenstein Place! His number AND his verse??? Really??? In 2015, he doesn't like I Can Make You a Man or it's reprise because he feels really intimidated, and in 2016 he just kinda feels put off by the Time Warp! He can't say what it is, but this time it feels weird!!! He likes it in some other versions, though!!
Janet: in the 1973 cast recording, Janet LOVES Science Fiction Double feature!!! She finds it so gentle and happy and she can't BELIEVE that that's Magenta's voice!!! In 1974 she loves The Sword of Damocles because she finds Kim Milford's voice to be very sexy!!! The status on that song winning remains the same in the movie, as well as adding on Planet Schmanet, because Frank is sexy, and Toucha Toucha because it's such a great representation as to who she is!!! She also loves Over at the Frankenstein Place!! In 2015 her favorite is "I Can Make You a Man" because she finds both Dominic Anderson and David Bedella to be attractive muscley men! In the 2016 remake, her favorite song is Dammit Janet because she finds it so sweet and, like Brad, it reminds her of their love!!!
Janet's least favorites: Janet has been scared of the Time Warp since day one!!! She can't really say why, but she has been!!! And 1973 started that unchanging and hilarious trend!!! In 1974, she also didn't like Eddie's Teddy because she thought it was just too sad!!! She wants numbers that are happier than that!!! By the movie, she had that same problem with I'm Going Home!!! Knowing that he's going to die really hurts that number!!! In 2015 the Time Warp scare really does get a special bonus given that she has to actually JOIN the dance at the end, and in 2016 she just really doesn't like what they did with Toucha Toucha! She can't hear herself all that well!!!
Riff Raff: Riff has ALWAYS adored the Time Warp but in 1973, he didn't find it to be as animated as it could've been during the ensemble parts so his favorite song is Science Fiction Double Feature!! He feels like it's a lullaby!!! The other number that he always loves is his part in Wild and an Untamed Thing when he takes over of course!!!! 1974? Oh he is FEELING the Time Warp! He is FEELING it!!!! Bruce Scott's vocals go OFF! As for the movie, he adores the Time Warp as well!!! Richard Obrien is SLAYING!!! He also, once again, is taken back to a love of Science Fiction Double Feature with his voice and Magenta's lips!!! It feels just right!!! He loves his sister so much!!! For the 2015 version, he's got some more favorites to add on!!! He finds Over at the Frankenstein Place to be a really lovely and soothing melody, and he also actually LOVES Superheroes once it's in this version! It was probably the way that they transposed it into B flat, but it made him cry and feel things!!!! In 2016, he finds himself to be taken with Hot Patootie actually! He finds that its a really fun beat and he loves it so much!! It puts a smile on his face!!! Also he loves to see the attention get taken away from Frank, of course!!!
Riff Raff's least favorites: Riff's least favorites are quite consistent across the board!!! First of all, he thought that Sweet Transvestite was gonna be the worst thing that he'd ever heard! From the moment he heard it, he'd started writing in new and different lyrics in his head, because Frank is many things, but to him, sweet is most certainly not one of them!!! I Can Make You a Man, however? Oh he wanted to explode. He saw the pun and he would have loved the pun if it weren't for the fact that Frank did not make Rocky!!! Its basically "I'm Stealing the Credit: The Song!" To Riff's ears!!! That being said, the 1974 version of Planet Schmanet specifically also makes him want to rip his ears off and the movie version of Don't Dream it Be it stresses him out a lot! And in 2015 he felt like he could've gotten a bit more out of I'm Going Home, which is a number that he usually enjoys because he finds it funny! And in 2016 not too much was different!! He was just kinda irritated in general at the same stuff, not much new, but that's ok!
Magenta: Magenta's favorite numbers often revolve around the situation and how funny she finds it to be!!! I'm Going Home is her favorite in the 1973 recording because she will ALWAYS remember the first time she heard that swan song!!!! She laughed her ASS off and will continue to do so for the rest of her life!!! In 1974, that record HELD! She did really love Abigale Haness's vocals as well, though! She thought that they were legitimately very sexy! In the movie, she got a MASSIVE kick out of Toucha Toucha! She laughed her ass off!!! Janet was having SUCH an awakening and she was THERE for it!!! She also LOVED Planet Schmanet! Frank was so feisty and clueless and had no idea that he was about to lose!!! In 2015, she loved Hot Patootie because she honestly just thought that it was a whole lot of fun!!! And in 2016 she loved Rose Tint my World!!! She loves the numbers that are upbeat good times and it's even better when someone is being, in her eyes, very very funny! And she's not wrong!!!
Magenta's least favorites: Magenta has never been thrilled about Once in a While! She finds it pleasant and she doesn't not like it, she's just hoping for a bit more excitement out of a number!!! In 1973 she just didn't see a whole lot there!!! Along with boredom, she also runs into problems mostly when she feels fed up with people!!! In 1974 she was a bit irritated at Sweet Transvestite! It's a great song and she'll admit to that, but after living in Frank's house for a while, she really does want to tell him to shut up! In the movie, once she was really watching, she found Dammit Janet irritating because she finds the romance to be childlike and she wants to get to the action!!! She's wrong for not liking it but still!!! In the 2015 version she also got a bit tired at Eddie's Teddy! She was like "yeah I know. Can we get to the part where hes dead, please?" And again, she's wrong! But still! And in 2016 she was right back to being frustrated at Dammit Janet! She's here to see what Brad and Janet do once they're in the castle, not before!!! She's mainly frustrated when she's bored or irritated at the character who's singing! She may not be right, but it's how she feels!
Columbia: Columbia loves LOTS of songs in the show!!!! Her first love is always gonna be Hot Patootie!!! The 1973 version literally opens with her screaming Eddie's name!!! Of course she always screams his name prior to the song, but this time it actually made it into the cast recording!!! Still though, that scream tells you all you need to know!!! For the second placers, however, Dammit Janet is the winner in 1973 because she loves how upbeat it is!!!! In 1974 she loves Toucha Toucha because she also finds it hilarious like her buddy Magenta!!! This is her favorite version of the song, though! In the movie, she loves the Time Warp!!! Its so vibrant and alive and ecstatic and she LOVES to do that tap routine!!! In 2015, she adores Eddie's Teddy!!! She's obsessed with her high note and she loves that version of the song and her verses!!! She also loves her Eddie, so that makes it extra special!!! In the 2016 version, she loves Sweet Transvestite!!! Generally speaking, she also adores Rose Tint my World and Wild and Untamed Thing!! She loves the fast paced and fun numbers, and she's very right to!!!
Columbia's least favorites: Columbia isn't big on the numbers that she finds to be downers! The sad ones just don't do much for her!!!! She isn't a big fan of I'm Going Home because it makes her cry too much!!! Especially in the 1973 version with all the extra tears and whatnot!!! Superheroes also makes her cry, and 1974 really highlighted that one!!! Those two remain pretty consistent throughout the other versions and she was really relieved when they cut Superheroes from some of the movie's releases!!!! Also she SOBBED when she saw herself hugging Frank during the 2015 version of I'm Going Home!!! And in 2016 she just cried at both!!!! She's here for a good time and the emotional aspect makes her a bit stressed! She LOVES what she loves though!!!
Rocky: Rocky also loves the upbeat numbers!!! In the 1973 version, he loves Sweet Transvestite!!!! It feels like Frank and it's so upbeat and he loves it!!! In 1974, he developed a love of The Sword of Damocles! It's his own number and he adores it!!! He's dancing around so much!!! When it came to the movie, he LOVED Hot Patootie!!! It felt so bouncy and alive and he felt like he and everyone else could just give in to how fun it was!!!! (Frank does NOT like that this is his pick for the movie, but it is!!!) In 2016, he loved the Time Warp because he felt that it gave him that same perfect sensation!!! Finally, in 2016 he loved Toucha Toucha!!! He felt that it was so springy and lively and he felt so admired!!! And he should because he's amazing!!!!
Rocky's least favorites: Like Columbia, Rocky's never been big on the sadder numbers!!!! I'm Going Home makes him scared in a way! (He doesn't mind Superheroes, though, because it's called Superheroes and he LOVES Superheroes and wants to be one one day!!!) He really just doesn't like I'm Going Home across the board because it makes him feel really lonely! Also, in the movie version specifically for some reason (probably because there wasn't a rock n roll voice to smooth it out for him) he didn't like Eddie's Teddy either because it made him cry for poor Eddie!!! He wants him to be happy, and that's an amazing thing to want!!! For the rest of the versions, he loves that song, and the same categories remain!!!
Eddie: Like Columbia, Eddie's favorite is Hot Patootie across the board!!! He really loves that rock n roll and he is HERE for it!!! His second placers are the Time Warp in 1973 because of how fun it is! It feels like a rock number to him!!! He also loves the way that Toucha Toucha ends with Hot Patootie and he was pissed as FUCK when they cut that later!!! In 1974, he really loves Eddie's Teddy and the way that Meatloaf sings it!!! Its really a miracle that he's able to like that number given that it's about how much of a fuck up he is, but Meatloaf makes it happen!!! In the movie, he really loves I Can Make You a Man and its reprise!!! He thinks that they're so powerful and he gets a MASSIVE kick out of the electric guitar on Here Comes the Bride at the end!!! He nudges Columbia every time as if to say, "girl, that's you!" And he's not wrong!!! In 2015 he loves Planet Schmanet for how wild it goes! He honestly loves all of the harmonies at the end!!! And in 2016, he loves the Sword of Damocles!!! He loves the riffs and runs that Staz Nair adds so much!!! Eddie really loves that rock n roll, and that's what drives his decisions in a big way!!!
Eddie's least favorites: First, in 1973, Eddie found himself MASSIVELY irritated by Dammit Janet. It very much gave him a "Well! Aren't you two just perfect!" reaction! In 1974, he started to really hate Toucha Toucha too once they cut the Hot Patootie bit at the end because he realized that he found Janet's character to be really irritating (and he's very wrong for that, but still!) Once he's no longer singing Eddie's Teddy in the movie? Omg he fucking hates it! He only enjoys the nunber if he feels like he's exposing himself on his own terms!!! And when he or the same actor that plays him sings it, he feels awesome! When there's a second Doctor Scott, he does not! So that also takes the win for 2016! For 2015, he listened to the ending verse in Superheroes for the first time, since it was sung.... and he has no fucking clue what it means and that just makes him confused and want to turn away! He's wrong of course, but it's a classic Eddie move!!!
Doctor Scott: Going in the completely opposite direction of Eddie's favorites, Doctor Scott loves the (generally speaking) wholesome numbers!!! In the 1973 version, he loves Science Fiction Double Feature!!! He thinks that its so sweet and he loves to see people dream and be passionate like the Usherette is!!! In 1974, he really loved Dammit Janet!! That song is a MASSIVE love of his in every version!!! He adores those kids and seeing them love each other so much just warms his heart!!! In the movie, he found that he could truly appreciate his own number for the first time! Eddie's Teddy had always been one that he needed to tune out his ears because of the rock n roll flare! But this time he thinks its such a fun dance number!!! In the live show, he loves Superheroes! He finds it to be such a beautiful piece and it makes him feel for those kiddos so much!!! In 2016, he really loved Over at the Frankenstein Place for the same reason!!! He loves that number in every version, though!
Doctor Scott's least favorites: Oh God he cannot STAND Hot Patootie! If it just wasn't his style of music, that'd be fine, but he has heard that music NONSTOP since Eddie was able to make coherent sound and it's driving him up the wall! In 1973 and 1974 he also couldn't stand Eddie's Teddy for the way that it was sung by a rockstar!!! He liked the other versions afterwards though! Even though Richard Meek also played Eddie, he knew how to turn it down and Doctor Scott really appreciated that. Once it came to the movie and Doctor Scott could see what was happening, Toucha Toucha also became a complete and total nightmare! That's Janet! She's a little girl to him! This does not feel right!!! In 2015, he felt a massive sense of rivalry when Sweet Transvestite came on, and in 2016 Don't Dream it Be It stressed him out a lot for some reason!!! He likes the numbers that are, generally speaking, G rated and he loves when things are wholesome!!!
The Criminologist: Well we can't deny that it's true, the Criminologist LOVES the Time Warp!!! He's loved it from the moment that he first heard it!!!! He also loves all the songs on the 1973 version that add a bit of his narration to the album that didn't make the cut in the other versions!!! He also always loves Superheroes because he's SO PROUD of that monologue (as he should be!) It is his proudest moment and he LOVES it!!! In 1974, he adored Planet Schmanet because it was new and that was some lore about the universe that he had NOT YET BEEN GIVEN and he was THRILLED! There's a planet called Schmanet? It's probably either torturous or boring? FUCK YES! He knows that now and he is overjoyed!!! In the movie, he loves Sweet Transvestite because he's all "oh my God! It's Frankenfurter! He's a celebrity to me!" And he's SO right!!! In the 2015 show, he loves Over at the Frankenstein place because he finds that it gives him so much anticipation and adrenaline! Not to mention, he also full on swoons when Riff comes into the picture!!! And in 2016 he loves Eddie's Teddy for some reason! He's not sure why, but he really does love it! It carries the same "formal but fun" flare that he wants to have, and he loves it so much!!!
The Criminologist's least favorites: The Criminologist likes to see things happen!!! He wants this pace to MOVE! Because of that, since 1973 he's been a bit irritated at Once in a While, in 1973 and 1974 that one made him the most upset! He'd chronically say "I know that it develops his character but do we really need that?" And, yes we do need it Criminologist, but thank you for your opinion! In the movie, he realized that he couldn't skip Science Fiction Double Feature and was like CHOP CHOP! CAN WE GET TO THINGS HAPPENING PLEASE? He knew realistically that the show needed an opening number, but so slow!!! In 2015, he felt that I'm Going Home was unnecessary and he wanted to see the action happen, and in 2016 that all pretty much held up! He likes numbers where important things are happening and he's bubbling with excitement and anticipation! He'll try to hide it, but he really does love it so much!!!

persona fun facts :o? can be from any game!
totally not copy-pasted from dms FUN FACTS BRIGADE (also i cut it in half with a readmore bc its. a lot)
Ann is the tallest girl among the Phantom Thieves, santing at 5'5! (In my head she is taller than Ren but shh)
If you take the thieves to darts, the worst player in the gang is surprisingly not Morgana, but Sumire! Don't ask me how she's worse than a cat!
In P5 (including royal), Ann is the only romance option to directly say "I love you" to the protagonist without cutting herself off* (and, i'm half sure, she's one of the few direct kisses a protagonist receives in a persona game) and honestly? good for them ily ann im so gay for her *Sumire says it too, even before being romanced, but it's not a complete "i love you", per se. She stutters through her confession and Ren has to finish it for her because she's so flustered, which is pretty cute i'll be real but in terms of Saying it, it technically doesn't count.
Sho Minazuki (yknow, the guy from the arena games) was originally meant to be the protagonist for P5! This is massively implied in ending dialogue for the Arena games, as well as how similar the two look if you, like, dye his hair black. Also if you recall the original Femc for P5 with the neon red hair…
Sumire lives with her dad, that much is obvious, but the Royal artbook reveals she also lives with her grandma and her mother!
Among all the non-party-member confidants in P5 (including royal), only 5 find out Ren's identity as a Phantom Thief through something else other than a mementos request. These are Maruki, Yoshida, Sojiro, Mishima, and Sae
The Featherman series is a Power Rangers style anime that airs in the inner universe of the series. Contrary to what the Dancing games make us believe, There's always only 5 Feather soldiers that are part of the main crew: Pink Argus, Red Hawk, Black Condor, Yellow Owl, and Blue Swan. These names, however, are sometimes interchanged between "generations" of the show.
Actually lemme go on a tangent (you asked for fun facts you're GETTING fun facts) There are three generations of the Featherman show to date: OG Featherman (persona 2), Featherman R (Persona 3), and Featherman V (P4 and the Arena games). There's actually a change in the naming semantics every new generation of Featherman. For example, take this excerp from the wiki: "Red Eagle (from Featherman), Feather Hawk (from Featherman R and/or Neo Featherman), Feather Red (from Featherman V)" So in P2, the naming convention is "[Color] [Bird name]", in P3 it's "Feather [bird name]" and in P4 it's "Feather [color]"
Ok tangent over don't ask me how i know so much about a fictional series from a fictional game JSVGEFVR more fun facts
Sumire actually has the biggest amount of portrait sprite variations, since it includes her Kasumi and her Sumire sprites. She deserves it tbh, fashion icon
Another Sumire fact! Did you know Maruki "transformed" sumi into her sister on her birthday? I sure did! Fuck you Maruki!! Uninvited from MY birthday party for sure
Sumire, piror to the third semester, is only ever called by her last name, Yoshizawa, by everyone aside from Ren, Morgana and Futaba. This is a very a subtle way to show something's up with her and i gasped when i first found out about it.
Ok fine enough P5 facts have a P3 fact. It's kinda well known im pretty sure but Makoto Yuki's barrage of official names include, also, Sakuya Shiomi from the stageplay. Sakuya means "blossom" or "bloom". Hey do you recall that he dies in March 5th? yknow, when spring starts? Cherry trees. you get it
Back to P5, Tactica reveals that Haru used to indulge in chopping firewood when she was younger. Her dad didn't like that for her, but he never tried to stop her. This probably leads to her having an Axe as part of her Phantom Thief artillery.
Did you know Fuuka and Futaba actually become friends in the Dancing games? They sadly don't remain friends after losing their memories post-game but Fuuka knew her as Alibaba, and Futaba knew her as Lucia :) I hope they became friends online again
In the jazz jin in Royal, Futaba reveals that the retro console you use to play games was hers, and that she'd sold it to the shop in Yongen. Also apparently the busted laptop you buy there was Haru's! (fact also revealed in the Jazz Jin)
#i know you'd meant fun facts but shhh im not letting these go to waste#maze.txt#persona series#persona#that's all im tagging gn JHGFSJDF

oh and another one, this might be slightly more hot, but dale himself isnt that interesting, well he is but what i mean is that he isnt as what (ive seen) people hype him as, dude appeared in a lemonade stand, and he appears like 4 times (so far) and his first appearace was 1 minute in the og show combined and ive seen people go on about how much of a well done character he is and how angsty he is, he IS fascinating like a peculiar bug species but not anything extraordinary, hes just a cardboard box with acouple of doodles on it and besides that people will latch onto the nearest white guy that ive seen, like his concept is fine but hes not all-that yknow
(again talking about things in canon, not ppl adding onto him for fun which is thumbs up emoji not bad)
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
So true, honestly. He's interesting to look at and uncover, but he's just an evil rich guy at the end of the day. What I find interesting about him is the fact he was stuck in a child labor basement, where Vicky probably gave them no food or water, and that trap door definitely had no good insulation for winter. This would put a lot of trauma on him. As well as when he got out, he missed seven years of his childhood, and it was the years very important for development. Doug, being his father, most definitely did not get him the help or therapy he would have needed and the fact he was so behind in education as well. Then to the future, where he's a money hungry, neglectful asshole. A truly broken man who probably doesn't have the true ability to love anyone (I mean, like all kinds of love, not just romantic).
The hype he gets is not deserved, honestly. However, the stuff ppl add to him is where I see the hype. I think people take him too seriously and are thinking from a real world perspective rather than Dale as a fictional character from a children's character.

does walenty have hobbies…. what do they do for fun…
omg.... ty for asking...
yknow I always get lost on this question for walenty since they're generally very busy. like, alongside their job as an interrogator they're also still a student of a prestigious (sorta?) school, PLUS keeping their superiors socially satisfied to minimize risk which requires unrelated study, so they very rarely have an extended amount of free time
HOWEVER when they do:
they sleep so much it lowkey counts as a hobby. typically walenty wakes up by themself because their body is just used to that, but when given a few hours of free time they're probably gonna take a nap. and if the free time is at the end of a day that's an early night.
more under the cut!
hi
as for actual hobbies and things they enjoy:
conveniently enough, they genuinely like to learn about people. it's good for safety which is their main motive, but it also feels very rewarding to them to watch people and figure out how they work. observing their routine and drawing conclusions and predictions, making up theories on what sort of person they are, their interests, their motives, how they interact with different students, what attitude they'd prefer. getting caught stalking staff always has a hefty punishment, though, so they have to be careful.
alternatively: people-watching!
sitting upside down in a dimly lit room, reading over homework or reports or analyses. autistic cat behavior
makeup! cute, big-eyed kids are easier to pity, to excuse. and also it's fun and a good exercise for making clean lines.
reading. almost everything in daffodil's library is non-fiction, and what isn't is either literature classics or children's books, so educational. they mostly look for medical stuff since it's both beneficial and interesting.
when they were younger, this extended to visiting the school infirmary just to help around. it was allowed once they sterilized since they have healing magic. they don't spend much time there anymore.
theatre! this is a very rare luxury they only get in field trips to the capital, but they always look forward to it.
making (and sometimes drinking) coffee and tea. this is encouraged by daffodil since it's a necessary life skill for servants. walenty likes it for the smells. it's also usually followed by etiquette training which is easy so that's nice. on top of that, being hospitable is great for interrogations. it either breaks the tension or enforces that even if it's poisoned, walenty is in control here. the warmth always affects the captives afterwards too.
taglist: @lordcatwich @chiswhumpcorner

hii i really enjoy your blog, thanks for posting!
for me your trademark is how you enjoy media as a form of fiction and not assigning one’s own morality to every character (it is wonderful to enjoy grey characters!)
plus your theatre (specifically shakespeare) knowledge!
awww happy to hear you enjoy my silly posts <3 also love that those are my trademark sjdkskd like on the one hand yes fiction can impact real life and it IS important to acknowledge that, however a lot of the time you really can just let the entertainment entertain you sjdkskd morally gray characters are fun and assigning morals to characters is pointless when their actions aren’t actually harming any real people. a lot of the characters that are some of my faves i’d probably hate irl! but theyre fictional so i can have fun with them yknow? also love being associated with my theatre and shakespeare knowledge :))
what’s my trademark?

Okay okay... I SURELY can't be the only one who sees this similarity, okay so the first (I'd say) Sam and Max comic came out in 1987 (insert "was that the bite of 87" joke here) and yknow what else started as a comic? Duckman!!! A detective comic series that started (and was possibly based on SMAX) in 1990. Now SMAX the animated series might be based on the Duckman TV series since Duckman (the tv show) came out in 1994 and SMAX came out after Duckman in 1997. And plus they BOTH have those uhh what do you call em? 8 bit video games??? Someone correct me on that please? I think I'm right? I dunno, anyways...
Character designs: Cornfed looks highly based off Sam, they both wear a hat, striped tie, suit, and don't wear any shoes haha. And Duckman and Max seem the same slightly,..basically they both wear nothing, however they sometimes will wear clothing if it's an a occasion but never anytime else. And it seems like their height is switched too since Sam is taller than Max and reverse that with a short pig and a tall duck since to me Duckman reminds me of Max and Corny reminds me of Sam and they all act the same, like how Sam is real laid back and Corny is like that and Duckman is like Max, chaotic, probably shouldn't be a detective.

Also just too put this shortly: both come from 80s to 90s and both detective fictional media, both have had 8 bit? Games, tv shows, comics, merchandise, and a somewhat following. (Sam and Max more than Duckman I'd say)
Hey if you made it too the end. Er even read any of that hard work... I made this for fun I guess.. Just seeing if any Sam and Max, Duckman, or some random horror fan agrees, or just finds this and thinks it's cool, also sorry if I got years wrong I'm not used to posting "blogs" on here, I'm more of a "internet artist" or something haha. This is also not something that I'm doing to be mean,to the creator or anyone, I just thought it would be cool to write. :o)
I can't be the only one, or could I be?

I’m not very well-versed in Happy Tree Friends BUT if your trio of kooky sumerian gods were actually canon to the show, I’d push everyone away just for them, words can’t describe how even though I don’t know shit about the source, I love these three so badly! And the amount of detail and depth you go into them is so astounding and AUGHHHHH!! And quick question! What would they look like as humans? I gotta know!!
Holy cow! This was such a nice message to receive thank you!!! Don’t worry I got plenty of Idol Trio stuff planned and in the works! 💪😤
Basically htf is just…Cute critters being violently killed by random silly bouts of bad luck only to come back for the next episode. Think Looney Tunes but gorey ehehehehe
And lemme clarify, the three are not Sumerian, they are Mesozoic cave people (well technically burrow people but yknow what I mean) However, considering people didn’t exist back during the Cretaceous….and considering that ancient Mesopotamian/Sumerian/Assyrian civilization has the oldest historical records to go off of, it does provide a lot of inspiration for them. Specifically for First Civilization.
But I also pull a lot from the little bit we know about Neanderthal life as well as many various Paleolithic hunter/gatherer societies such as the Ohallo II site and the ancient Natufian settlements. These sources help especially for the Dino-Sore days era of their lives. But of course, there’s no WRITTEN records from these times so it makes it a bit difficult when it comes to research and understanding how these people really lived. You can only tell so much from stone tools and bones sadly.
Because of this, the trio has been inspired by a hodgepodge of a bunch of different ancient cultures, not just one. Not to mention the occasional fictional liberties I take with them. I mean it’s a cartoon after all. ;D
Shoot I rambled a lot ANYWAYS
the HILARIOUS thing about this message is that literally the day before I had gotten this in my inbox I actually DID do some human trio doodles while at dnd so I went ahead and finished one of ‘em up for you! :D

It’s been a little while since I’ve drawn humans so forgive me hehehe Again thank you for asking this humanifying them has been so much fun!!!!
#happy tree friends#htf#htf ocs#htf be brave#htf nergal#htf geshtu#htf dumuzi#htf idol trio#htf god trio#I’m actually currently a little obsessed with drawin em like this now oops#I forgot Nergals hat shhhh shhh

Your recent post reminded me of what has been bothering me for a while about the portrayal of the Kimchay dynamic in the fandom. I love reading fic about these two, but in most fics nowadays I cannot even recognize the characters I came to know and love when I watched the show. It’s like they bear the name of Kim and Chay but act nothing like them😅 People are of course allowed to write characters any way they want (after all, it’s not that serious, fandom is supposed to be fun:D), but I think this is the first time I’m in a fandom where the fanon characterization has overthrown the canon characterization so completely. The prevalence of submissive!Kim and Dom!Chay just throws me off, when the characters are nothing like that in the show (actually it’s quite the opposite lol). When the show aired and until around mid-2023 the majority of fic etc. portrayed Kimchay pretty accurately with only the odd mischaracterizatiok here and there, but after that? It’s like the fandom collectively decided to throw canon out the window XD.
These days I’m just living by the ”don’t like, don’t read” philosophy, which unfortunately means I have to clock out of 80% of Kimchay fic lol. I see something like ”Kim whimpered” and am like ”nope, he would not” and then yeet myself out:D
Hello, thank you for your message!
Meh. The idea of fanon characterization overthrowing canon though isn’t unique to the KPTS fandom, yknow? I feel like most fandoms face that inevitability as we get further away from the date of original release. Having said that however, I would actually disagree with you, nonnie. XD Politely, of course!
It’s just that…I’m not necessarily sure fanon characterization has overthrown canon completely, or if it’s more along the lines that those who like the fanon characterization just tend to be a lot louder, especially on this site. It’s harder to discern people’s true opinions on here, not necessarily for lack of communication, but more along the lines of iffy communication due to knee-jerk reactions, imo. And again, that’s not just the KPTS / Kimchay fandom in general, I feel like that’s how it is for most fandoms that have some community over here that’s still alive and kicking.
In any fandom, there will always be people who take certain opinions a lot more personally over others due to their own emotional attachments over the fictional characters in question, and that just inevitably makes communication (as in, actual discussion and engagement)…not worth it. At least, not to me, haha!
Fandom is supposed to be fun, but let's be real nonnie, for a lot of people, it's more than just fun: for a lot of us, it's an escape from our day-to-day lives, a place to engage freely in a piece of media that we otherwise wouldn't have in RL.
Furthermore, canon vs fanon in terms of what that means to an English-speaking majority fandom community and as it relates to a non-western piece of media is…honestly, all kinds of landmines to talk about, if you know what I mean. A lot (not all, of course, but a significant chunk of them) of fanon specific to KPTS and Kimchay are due to ignorance of the cultural context, as well as certain ideas gaining traction, because of the western lens it’s viewed through.
Not to mention, the cringe habit of mixing up actors and their characters, but that’s a different conversation all together.
At the end of the day, I say be the change you want to be, nonnie~ If you don’t like fanon, say it loud and proud! I’m ngl, I certainly don’t!
All opinions in regards to any and all fictional characters ought to exist equally on this hellsite, and that should be the end of it! :3

not to be that guy again
but i also dont fuck with anybody who talks about "anti culture" or anything like that when it comes to how shit's portrayed in fiction. i super try to stay out of "proship vs anti" discourse bc its stupid as shit and i have other things to worry about than internet discourse. but i still cant help but express my beliefs which relate to the core argument
dont make me tap the sign. fictional exploration of pedophilia/incest/abuse/etc at all isnt the problem, its the way its portrayed. if youre out here portraying that shit as bad and inexcusable, then youre fine. if youre exploring it in a way that doesnt defend it, then youre fine. if youre out here saying that a 40 year old man getting it on with a 14 year old is cute or sexy, or that two brothers having a sloppy makeout is hot, then yeah im going to burn your house down with you in it
the thing about the "what about fictional murder??? ppl romanticize that all the time and you dont see people turning into murderers irl!" argument is that. well. people dont groom people with murder fics. ppl dont show others art of their favs getting murdered and then try to use that to justify them murdering someone. that just doesnt happen. what Does happen is that ppl use incest/pedophilic ships and art portraying it in a "cute" or "fun" light and they use that to justify their grooming actions. that does happen. ive Seen it happen.
and no, im not saying that getting rid of this depiction of these subjects in media or fanworks is going to Stop All Grooming. thats silly. i know that if theyre going to groom someone theyre going to find a way to do it anyway, im not an idiot. but all im saying is that this shit makes it easier, makes it more accessible, and may even make it more normalized, which i hope you can agree is a bad thing.
exploration is one thing! lots of gothic media has "problematic" shit like that in it. lots of fiction has gross shit that the author doesnt condone irl, theyre just exploring it through writing. however, romanticization is another thing. portraying it as cute and fun is another thing. trying to excuse it by saying its fiction is another thing. thats when you ascend to freak status in my book.
youre not ~making a statement~ by declaring yourself a Proud Proshipper--at least not the one you think you are. youre giving me the signal that you dont care about how certain subjects are portrayed even if theyre harmful, and youre telling me that i should stay far the fuck away from you.
last thing i'll say on this is that for the record i am also against purity culture. i dont think ppl should be watering down media to be Acceptable and Pure all the goddamn time. i dont think ppl should stay away from "problematic" media entirely as long as they can use their brains and be critical and not excuse or defend said problematic content. everything is problematic bitch lets get you some fruit. yknow? theres nuance and context to everything; things arent black and white. trying to take the problems out of everything is a waste of effort and frankly makes everything boring as shit. having said all this, the way things are portrayed and how you interact with them are still important factors and i will stand by that
aight rant over o7

coming here bc with ur dazai bdsm & control post i think u'll understand my point. i always feel weird when i read skk and specifically filter out "top dazai" because its like it shouldn't matter but it DOES end up mattering. i can't describe it but somehow it feels like whenever people write "top dazai" there's this level of extra control he has over their dynamic. again hard to explain my ick about it but it's feels like (to me) that skk aren't equal. does that make sense. there's always a layer of "dazai is Possessive and Controlling over chuuya" while chuuya's just along for the ride. meanwhile when people write a dominant chuuya its feels more balanced?? like they're both active in the relationship. (not saying top = dominant but we know how heteronormative society thinks of sex roles. everyone writes a top as dominant unless they specify otherwise nowadays :/) i think this stems from like. as readers we all Know that (adult) dazai is the smartest one in the room at any given time. we know he can manipulate and control the situation however he pleases if he wants to. that level of control isn't a given with chuuya. so when chuuya has this (superficial) control in their relationship it's like "sick! dazai trusts chuuya! dazai views chuuya as an equal!" which is what i'm always craving from their dynamic. (i also think i'm truamatized from prior fandoms and quick to think something is heteronormative. i can acknowledge where i'm being dramatic but some people out there really do just think of chuuya as a girl i'm sorry. stop making dazai your harry styles wattpad badboy that is NAWT MY MANS!)
oh anon i get you 🤝 (and i do the same tbh, it's quicker than trying to find fics that DON'T fall into the trope of top = dominant / bottom = submissive)
[also as a usual disclaimer when talking abt this topic that I'm sure you probably agree with; this is all talking abt a fictional couple and the way fics are written about them, speaking realistically they would probably switch but this discussion isn't for the sake of realism but rather talking about characterization through smut. we know it's not that deep, this is an observation for fun and bc it's interesting and harmless, and this isn't judging anyone who writes these fics or subscribes to a different characterization. okay now we can keep going]
the trust thing you point out is honestly the biggest thing here for me!!! like it's not even just dazai letting go of control, it's about letting chuuya take it, too. we see them do it time and time again in the context of battles and strategies and well. why wouldn't it extend to this area too, yknow? same way chuuya gets to have the final word in their plans - they're both involved in every step, but in the end it does hinge on chuuya and his choices. also unironically i think it'd be good for chuuya to get control over smth in his life in a less chaotic way than, say, he does as an executive.
and 😭 god i agree with that part abt people turning dazai into an edgy wattpad bf, esp when it comes to like his current canon self who is just a silly little princess whose entire arc is about trusting people and letting them take control of situations for him
and while I'm at it, i think he COULD be possessive but not in a dark yandere bf way or w/e, first of all he'll be more subtle about it lol, but mostly his possessiveness, to me, is more "no one can hurt those i love" (see: his anger when finding out fyodor is "controlling" chuuya. animezai dni) or "please don't leave me" than "you're mine, no one can touch you, you can't leave me" as people tend to fall into in those fics. does that make sense
#this. may not be 100% coherent i apologize i am very sleep deprived lol. sorry for any grammatical errors too 💔#bsdm tag#<- technically. and so all these posts are together in the same tag

2024 summary of stuff ive made (ficwise and etc)!
rewrites/retouches:
not really conventional rewrites because they literally had nothing completed and were basically just story concepts, mostly fully fleshed out, in my head. uh.. from like 10 years ago abouts.
-traveling ben: i still want to do something absolutely epic with it, like a vn style thing or whatnot. but that takes a lot of coding which i dont have lol. anyways it was really nostalgic, as tb is one of the first things i got really into writing/making as a story. focusing more on tb1, i also really love that it was my first real brush with time travel and making an absurd but also fanservice-for-me story. which is always good. i think its fun to make it make thematic sense in retrospect, and i feel like the themes (that being family + one-sided but unconditional love) really fit it and are good in general.
-plateaubottom: still wip. it just sorta yknow... swooce. swooced in there. its very cliche young adult fiction-style fic and universe, but i think it can be fun too. the thing is, however, theres a lot of concrete pb stuff and until i can find and salvage what essentials i can, i dont wanna write something that either contradicts or veers really off course canon. i feel like the writer of an anime thats caught up with its canon manga. its filler time.
-winner adventures: back on it with gelert family! luckily sosh is so solidified tbh, its a pretty understandable plot. i still havent completely finished it but hey, 90 percent done is pretty ok. adgcc is so good too but i think the logistics of it (and any other christmas carol thing) are a bit tricky lol.
new stories!
-book 8: honestly i think its more coherent than b7 lol. however i still havent finished it. goal is before the 7th now ig??? i think theres a lot all at the end, thats why (partly at least). eostra and eadgyth are fun characters, if a bit incidental. but idk they cant help that lol. the plot is ok, not any big character breakthrough moments (for the main cast at least) but the supporting cast have some nice parts, and lutdel sibling bonding is always you love to see it.
-golden week record: the pre-golden week story, very chaotic very crossover. it was fun to make a return for jojo marie, clonethoven, and katerina, and it was a bit of a tribute to dor aemon movie which lives rent free in my head!
-witches of the golden night: fun story, but ig bc golden week canon events have diverted from the trend of torturing my faves ive been less fired up to do spinoffs of them. however its nice to see magic girls becoming friends and saving jeekins together.
and various lore stuff too!
-golden ration backstory: a fun addition/continuation. its your fault for me getting back into continuing plateaubottom ration! (actually no its losh. obviously). anyways its a cute story, ration is actually really wholesome, and pb academy is fun! a taste of the level of crossover to come!
-moyashi backstory: i love the added backstory with professor sequoia, its both wholesome and like. shameless fanservice for me. the tie in to dog guides one of all things is so fun tho! and like. explains a good part of dog guides 1's bizarre plot. but i dont think it feels too forced either also, so thats really nice.
-dog guide extended lore: i guess phoenix, lhdg, and technically jack and maybe pizza are all new this year? dog guides should come back, theyre fun. dog guides are also fun because canonically they have no lore set.
-tsubastien next part?: still wip i guess? but it would be cool if it ends up being canon! i love tsubastien, its so weird, but i think it could also be really fun.
anyways heres hoping for stories w good vibes and productivity in creating stuff this next year!

YES FOURS COME SO FAR AND THE NEW EPISODE REALLY SHOWS THAT.
IT EVEN STARTS WITH

But…

No longer will he accept offers from malware to help with video. Proud of him
And Yeah. Yeah, Puzzles has some sort of corruption going on with him. My theory that it’s some sort of virus considering the goop’s similarities to the God Box stuff despite not being meme energy or anti-meme energy certainly seems… I don’t know the new video certainly… contributes to that in some way.
And yeah!! The fact that he wants friends so bad but enjoys the villainy as well! (I’m sure Three can relate). The dichotomy of him never casting himself as the villain in the Puzzlevision Parodies (unless you count him being gru in the despicable me parody and whatever was going on in the Inside Out one), but enjoying his role of being this theatrical villain so much.
I’m sure part of it is just… well he loves his moving pictures and everyone knows villains are the most fun characters. Especially in, say, classic Disney movies. Which are obviously a big inspiration for him. The song he had Four sing in “Once Upon an SMG4”… Puzzles just really enjoys the theatrics of villainy. And I think a part of him feels like that’s all he can be. Heroes, after all, have friends.
And the way he treats the crew… well, he treats them like fictional characters. He wants to control them he wants to put them in Situations for entertainment purposes. He is writing SMG4 hurt no comfort fanfic as we speak. /silly
Also there’s just… to me there’s something about the fact that the background to his fantasies with Leggy 2.0 is a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic background. Like just. All things considered. That’s something that jumps out to me. Just… stuff like that is his point of reference for what a good friendship is. (he wants to be Discord so bad)

I think part of the reason it’s hard to tell how much of it is whatever’s influencing/corrupting him and how much of it is he’s just like that is that the distinction between himself and this outside influence has all but disappeared.
The simulation with Wren seems to be built on the same technology as Mr Puzzles’ body itself and/or whatever Clench is. And as long as Puzzles has even a little bit of star power, he has complete control over his little TV pocket dimension. I guess whoever built his body (whether that’s him or someone else) set up something similar for Wren. As for how he got the information that he did… Well, he was spying on them. He was just playing his part as their TV for a while and he’s fully capable of sneaking around. He had access to Four’s computer from the get-go via his(?) spyware/adware.
I figure he gets power from his ratings because he is media. He is TV. When show doesn’t get good ratings show goes in bad time slot and doesn’t get to affect people. Good ratings increase his influence. So it makes sense thematically. I don’t know if there IS an in-universe explanation beyond just oh that’s an energy he can channel with his TV man body. I’m sure some fun headcannons could happen but I don’t know. As for who’s doing the rating… well, there are critics heard at the beginning of the Puzzlevision movie, but he also breaks the forth wall and asks the real life audience for his five stars, and we were giving him ratings during that arc. (Well I guess not we I showed up late to the party but yknow).
However his one singular bad pun. Not even a show just a single pun. One Leggy found it mildly amusing, and that’s an instant 2 stars

he seems to just… get power from any positive attention? I don’t know. Validation powers him.
And the Engine Room. Before Puzzles it had a star. The Disney “When You Wish Upon a Star” star. It’s gone once he’s hooked up to the machine so maybe he absorbed it for power somehow? Otherwise being the power source of the park would’ve drained him worse I think. And while the correlated song to the Disney “When You Wish Upon a Star” is about making all dreams come true, the correlated meme is “Nothing happens” so I don’t know! Mickey just says it powers Didney and makes Didney what it is. So I guess Puzzles plugging in there made Didney what Puzzles is instead?

Alternatively. Given some of the lyrics to “When You Wish Upon A Star”

Maybe… maybe the Wish that was Fulfilled, the Dream that came true… the “secret longing”… was Little Puzzles finally getting to reach out for help

He got what he wanted. Just for a moment.
sooo…
WOTFI

THEY DIDNT ADDRESS ANY OF THE PARALLELS AND THEN THEY
INSTITUTIONALIZED HIM

I’m so mad about this. I’m so mad. I’m so mad.
because okay. Okay remember this.

His super dramatic flinch here and there was that post going around like “I wonder what happened in Mr Puzzles’ childhood to make him flinch like that“
CHILD PUZZLES DOES THE SAME THING

EVERY TIME MEGGY/LEGGY APPROACHES HIM HE FLINCHES. HE COWERS. EVEN OUTSIDE OF THE POTENTIAL CONCLUSION HE WAS BEATEN, SOMEONE GENUINELY CARING ABOUT HIM IS SUCH A FOREIGN CONCEPT THAT HE ASSUMES THE ONLY REASON ANYONE WOULD GET CLOSE IS TO HARM HIM.
AND HE’S NOT EVEN WRONG?! THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS?

THEY INSTITUTIONALIZED HIM HE IS TIED TO A TABLE IN A PADDED ROOM. THEY APPEALED TO HIS HUMANITY AND FOUND THE GOOD IN HIM AND THEY USED IT AGAINST HIM.

YOU THINK THATLL HELP HIM? TARGETING THE MOST VULNERABLE PART OF HIMSELF AND GETTING HIM SENT TO AN ASYLUM?
AND IT SUCKS BECAUSE I WAS LEGITIMATELY ENJOYING THE EPISODE BEFORE THAT! I was having fun until that ending. That’s literally the one thing I didn’t like. The scene with Kid Puzzles was really well done. Everybody’s outfits were so cool. IGBP flesh blobs were there that was really cool

but then

I hate this. Genuinely worse than killing him off to me. It just feels wrong
#smg4#mr puzzles#*chatter chatter*#Long post#leggy smg4#Now if you’ll excuse me I’m heading to the character playlist gotta pick a version of when you wish upon a star for it
