For the @schittscreekdrabbleblog bonus word of the week: Blanket.
This gives me all the feels. It is exactly 100 words!
It was Thanksgiving. Patrick and Clint were watching the Sports Ball, David was bored.
Marcy was off by herself, sitting by a window crocheting fervently. David padded over nervously and sat next to her rocking chair. "What are you working on?" David asked softly.
"A blanket. I make them for all the nieces and nephews."
"Could you…teach…me?" David asked hesitantly.
Marcy's eyes got wide. "David! I would love to!" she hummed happily and pulled out some soft blue alpaca yarn with a Rose Apothecary label on it. David's dimple popped. "You always start with a slip stitch," Marcy started teaching.

Little fun Schnee Dinner schneeanigans
Winter: I am amazed Will- Mum found it in her and everyone’s schedule to make a dinner make sense
Weiss: Well we would all come down here at the drop of a hat surely
Whitley: I mean practically speaking it is just a logistical feat that you and your spouses were all in town and not deployed on SDC or Huntress matters
Weiss: Well all save your partner
Whitley: Ahem, he is unavailable-
Winter, jokingly: Don’t be such a clod, Weiss. Now, I thought Cinder and Ruby went to fetch themselves drinks? Where on Remnant did they..?
Willow, from aside: Hey! Come here, quickly quickly now
All of the Schnees watching in growing interest:
Klein, hovering over a large oven vat and vigorously basting the meat within: Now, the bird is a terrifying thing to deal with at this point, you’re going to want to constantly be bathing it in its fluids or it will definitely go dry and no one will like that
Ruby, beside Klein: Got it, and then throw it back in and repeat right?
Klein: Exactly, Miss Rose. Cinder? How are our stove goods doing?
Cinder, presiding over five different large scale pots: I may not officially have a star or two to my name, Sieben, but I think even you’ll be impressed by these
Klein: I am always amazed by your works, and by the smell of it you’re doing even better than last dinner!
Willow, quietly: If you all were not married already I would be planning the Ceremonies right this moment
Weiss: I may be planning a second in my head
Winter: Her cooking will always be one of my favourite things
Whitley: Who cares about that, look, Klein’s making Yorkshire Pudding too!

Random Fact #6,520
Thanksgiving in Canada does not have a blood-soaked origin story like its American counterpart does.
While the American Thanksgiving is about giving thanks for the successful genocide of an Indigenous tribe, Canadian Thanksgiving originated as a celebration of harvest.
