Since my OdyPen are likeminded in personality/views/behavior in many many ways, those "Ship meme questions" are pretty interesting for me.

Because yeah. Likeminded. Many of those questions have the same answer from both.

And in a way that's super fun for me because everything I write with my goobers, I always try to keep in mind that, at least in behavioral/personality, they would both react/behave the same.

Like, I know I focus a shitton on Penelope as I adore her and love exploring her character so so much but understand that Odysseus would do the exact same shit. Just as Odysseus in my one fic is taking care of her as she is sick from her own recklessness, she would (and will. Different circumstances but you know) do the same for him.

It's actually super fun (as much as it is frustrating too. I'll realize partway through an idea that it's actually OOC and that I got too excited lol) to keep in mind while writing/creating. It keeps me on track :3

"Ah, Nik, wait!"

Nikolai turns back around at the sound of the Captain's voice.

"You're going to make me miss my flight," he pretends to complain, not able to keep himself from smiling.

Price rolls his eyes. "You're the one flying your flight back home."

Nik chuckles. John looks annoyed, but clearly it's not directed at him if him relaxing in his presence is to be believed.

"Anyway, I won't keep you long, I just need you to teach me how to say something in Russian."

There's a terrible idea rising in Nik's mind. He tries to ignore it at first.

"There's this guy, he's a fucking asshole and I'd like to tell him to go fuck himself in his native language."

He nods distractedly at Price. But it would be the perfect moment... He leaves right after that, after all... And John wouldn't understand right away, he'd have time to go hide somewhere.

"Right," he clears his throat and smiles at Price. "I can do that, sure. Repeat after me, try to remember the words : я -"

Price squints his eyes in concentration. He looks so fucking cute that Nik could die.

"Ya -"

"влюбилась"

"Woah, okay, vl...vlyoubeelas?"

Nik's smile is growing. "Good," he says, voice lower. Swears that John's cheeks are redder than they were before. Interesting. "в"

Price frowns. "Just 'vv' ?"

"Да. And finally, тебя."

"Tyebya."

Nik's heart is starting to beat a bit faster, apparently just now realising what he was doing. There's no going back now.

"Now the whole thing : я влюбилась в тебя"

John's brow furrows more in deep focus. "Ya vlyoubeelas vtyebya."

Damn, that makes Nik's cheeks warmer and his smile wider. He knows that Price doesn't mean it, doesn't even know what it means, but if that's all he's going to get, he's going to cherish it inside his heart.

He isn't sure John will want anything to do with him when he'll look it up, after all, he hasn't survived this long by having too high hopes. His smile softens and he nods at his friend.

"Not bad. Remember the words."

Price huffs. "Of course I'll remember the words. Now go, wouldn't want you to miss your own chopper back home."

Nik laughs and shakes his head as he turns around and walks to his helicopter. He stops before climbing in, turns his head back towards the Captain.

"Oh, and John, don't actually tell him that, he has no right to hear it."

He knows Price well enough to know that he's sighing right now, but he's too far to hear it.

"What did you even teach me?" He asks in a jokingly tired voice.

Nik grins back at him. "You'll have to look it up, зайчик."

"Doctor? Can I come in now?"

There had been strange noises coming from his office door every since he had asked her to wait outside. And quite frankly, Bill was starting to grow concerned.

"Hang on!" he called back. "I am over 2000 years old, give me a minute."

"Alright" she leant back against the door, twirling her necklace while waiting.

"Besides" the Doctor opened the door and Bill squeaked while trying to regain her footing. "you can't rush perfection!"

She turned around and there he was, in a proud winner's stance that stood in stark contrast to the clothes he was wearing. Just that 'clothes' was an exaggeration. It was some black thing with a white elliptical disk on his belly and something resembling wings on his arms. He had a hat with an orange beak(?!) attached, yellow fins at his feet and behind him, something burned.

"Uhhh" Bill managed, gathering her bearings. "You're on fire."

"Yes, I am" he grinned, holding his had out to her for a high five.

"No" she said, pointing at his backside. "I mean, literally."

"Oh, that?" the Doctor turned around so Bill could see it was his… attire that was producing the flames. "Harmless hologrammatic flames. Can't hurt a fly."

He turned back around to beam at her. "So what do you think?"

"Do you want an honest answer to that?" Bill asked and his face dropped.

"You don't like it?" he said. "I made it specially for you."

"Great" she tried to smile. "What is 'it'? Doctor, what's up with your clothes? I mean, to each their own but this is eccentric even for your standards!"

"It's my halloween costume!" he finally explained. "I'm a penguin with its arse on fire!"

"Oh my god, that is terrible. I love it!" Bill grinned, appreciation kicking in together with realisation. "But Doctor, it's March!"

"Not when you've got a TARDIS" he grinned, beckoning her to follow him. "Come on, she has a wardrobe full of costumes and we haven't got all day before Nardole returns and makes us miss out on the biggest Halloween party in the universe!"

it's always wild to me when people make callout/negative posts about darius and lilith and alador and sometimes even eda going "wow, they're complicit in child endangerment and abuse." not wild to me that this is being acknowledged, in fact it's delightful when fans of these characters do it (god i love it when we acknowledge our faves' worst qualities). but VERY wild to me that some people apparently think this... like.... hasn't occurred to me before...??? i guess???

like. maybe i'm not the target audience, i don't participate in Fandom Discourse (TM) so i don't really know what the 2023 mainstream takes on these characters are or how bad they are. i'm not even in any owl house discord servers at the moment bc they make me anxious. so i just have my insulated bubble here and the handful of ppl i follow
