The Intelligentsia Guild is, according to its wiki, is a group that is financially supported by the IPC. Meaning, that by default, those within the Intelligentsia Guild are in a lower position in power than those in the IPC.
Yet, Ratio is almost always showcased alongside the higher ranking IPC members, commenting under their social media posts (albeit only Aventurines but I digress), being very frequently shown alongside them in promotional material, and even having a reference in the actual IPC trailer.
Now, it's been made clear already that he does have direct relations with the IPC, as seen in the Penacony story, but trying to figure out what these relations exactly are is where I'd like to look.
It is clear he isn't a direct member of the IPC, seeing as he is exclusively introduced as a member of the Intelligentsia Guild, however, in his third character story Margaret states that he received an invitation from the IPC. The exact details of this invitation are not given, but it is described as carrying an amount of solemnity. This, and the fact that during the Penacony story Ratio states, "…only IPC senior members and related members can access it - but I happen to be among them." THIS as well as the fact that in the space station mission, he is introduced as a Delegate from the IPC.
Now, I believe that Ratio is not necessarily a direct member of the IPC, but more an honorary member. I think this is mostly because he is never mentioned as a member of the IPC, only the Intelligentsia Guild. However The Intelligentsia Guild is heavily implied to be an extension of IPC of sorts, and many Intelligentsia Guild members likely do work for IPC, Ratio included. It's clear in his third character story that the IPC is aware of his existence specifically, and I find it easy to believe that his intelligence is used for the benefit of the IPC, especially since in that character story he was sent that letter during the test-firing of an anti-planetary weapon he had developed.
I think he refuses to accept a direct job with the IPC, not wanting that title before or after his name when he's introduced after knowing about all the things that the IPC has done.
I don't think Ratio would want to be associated directly with the IPC, instead being perfectly content to remain in the Guild, leading to yet another faction that he will never join due to his humanity and care for people.

Six Sentence Sunday
Happy Sunday Everyone!! Thanks to @monbons for tagging me, so excited for the next chapter of your fic!
I've been having a really good week, I finished up all my finals and all my papers, and I moved all my stuff out of my dorm room—meaning I'm back home now and ready for summer! I have two weeks before my main summer job starts, so that means a lot of time for writing! And I've already gotten a start by having a super productive week writing-wise this week as well (finally got some solid work in on my COBB fic, turns out getting some vampire name inspo from @fiend-for-culture and seeing the first peek of the artwork really brought back all my excitement for this wip!!!)
I'm posting the newest chapter of Proof of Life tomorrow, which is one that I'm super excited to share. Unfortunately, this is the last chapter in my backlog, so I'll have take a small posting break after this, but that just means that if you haven't had a chance to start reading yet, you have time to catch up 🙃
But even more exciting news! I realized that I missed the 2 year anniversary of the first fanfic I wrote for this fandom! After reading all three Carry On books, I absolutely devoured fanfiction for probably around 6 months before ever writing my own. And the only reason I wrote anything was because I had a scene absolutely stuck in my head, and no one else had written it yet. So honor of being a month late to it's birthday, here are 6ish sentences from the first fanfic I wrote: Tense Silence (under the cut because this is already getting long):
“You’re a vampire.” says Simon. His voice came from above me. “You really are.”
I look up to see Simon standing, staring down at me. He has the Sword of Mages in one hand and the silver cross dangling in the other. It is very close to my face. I turn my head away. He moves the cross closer. I close my eyes as I smell the metal hanging merely centimetres away from me.
“You tried to bite me.” He says. “You really tried to drink my blood.”
As you can see, I started out the fandom almost exactly where I ended up—writing angsty vampire Baz fics. While there's some things that I would do differently now and a few noticeable mistakes (Simon's cross is gold not silver, Past Lily, get it right!), I'm still really proud of this fic. I remember spending weeks working on it and being very nervous to post this 6k fic, so it's definitely kind of crazy to look back it and see how much I've grown as a writer, and how many friends I've made in fandom since then.

hey messr!
this thought came to me rn... (maybe it can be an idea for drabble)
What about one morning the reader wakes up before Tess and sees that Tess has her back turned to her, still sleepling peacefully. Since the position Tess is in, the reader can fully see her back and the scratches/red marks she left the previous night on her girlfriends back. The reader then starts to slightly trace them with her fingers, causing Tess to wake up and suddenly ask her: Admiring your work?
blushing, giggling, kicking my feet at this
Tess servopoulos x fem!reader
Wc- 484
Navigation | TLOU masterlist
You woke up to the sun peeking through a crack in the curtains, shining directly onto your face. You hated those shitty curtains, they didn’t close completely in the middle and waking up to the blinding light of the sun was a common occurrence.
You felt the warmth of Tess beside you as you stretched out like a cat, waking up your sleepy muscles for another busy day. Tess was still fast asleep, her back turned from the window and therefore escaping the blinding wake up call you had experienced.
Your eyes fell onto her bare back, visible from where the covers had slipped. Amongst the usual scars and freckles that kissed her skin, were the raised red marks of your own creation. You hadn’t realised just how much you’d practically attacked her.
But how could she blame you. Especially when she’d been fucking you like that.
There was still a slight ache between your legs, aching from the way she’d fucked you so slow but so deep. Drawing it out for what felt like hours. Your blunt nails raking down her back in some attempts to pull her down closer as if that was even remotely possible. You’d been so desperate bro have her as close as humanly possible, close just not quite close enough.
You reached out and ghosted your fingers over the marks, hoping you hadn’t hurt her. Which was a little silly, you knew you hadn’t. You had seen that woman walk around with a stab wound like it was nothing more than a paper cut.
Your brain filled with the memories of the previous night again as you traced the lines. The way her face looked above yours, how it felt buried into your neck. How hot her skin had felt pressed against your, slippery with sweat even though your crappy apartment was freezing. Sticky and sweaty and kinda gross, but not a single other care than keeping her on top of you. Keeping her close.
You closed your eyes for a moment as the memories filled your brain. The way your skin prickled when she whispered in your ear, every piece of praise and encouragement. It made your cheeks flush.
“ admiring your work? “ you startled as Tess spoke, her voice raspy with sleep in a way you silently obsessed over. Her voice was already a little rough, dropping an octave lower when she was being serious or angry. But the raspiness to her sleepy voice? It was like music to your ears.
“ something like that “ she turned over and pulled you closer, slipping a leg between yours and tucking you close into her
“ well go back to sleep. It’s early. And cold “ she mumbled, letting out a deep sigh and clearly already preparing to let sleep reclaim her again. And you could think of a lot of things worse than spending more time snuggled in bed with Tess.

Okay so basically the United States MINT of all people is going to be working with DC to make a line of coins! These coins sadly won't be in circulation (the things I would do to live in a world where I could get Batman coins from the supermarket) as they're collectors coins, but will be releasing over the course of the next 3 years, 2025-2027.
Designs haven't been released yet (the same is true for all 2025 designs) but we know there will be 9 coins in total (3 each year) with the first year featuring (of course!!!) Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
Although we know the first three heroes to be featured, the remaining six have yet to be decided, and it turns out the Mint is putting out a survey on their site to gauge which of a group of culturally significant heroes people want to see most! (link to the form is mentioned in the article above)
The considered group includes: Supergirl, the Flash, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Captain Marvel, John Stewart GL, Aquaman, Hawkman, Jamie Reyes BB, Robin (Damian?), Cyborg, and Batgirl, of which 6 will be selected.
As someone who does a bit of coin collecting myself (mainly circulation coins like the quarters sets, but I also have a couple proof and collectors coins) I think this is a really cool and interesting idea that showcases the history of the comics medium and these characters and their influence on American culture. Really excited to wait and see what the designs look like for the coins already announced!
