Day 5 of 5 day workout week:
It’s Friday and it’s been a tough one. A lot of personal stuff going on with loved ones and friends. Struggling at times to deal with it all, but all I know to do is to keep going. Keep living. Keep being there for people when I can. Just keeping it moving can sometimes give you a shred of peace and sanity.
I didn’t feel like working out today at all. Just didn’t want to train today. But, I remembered, I always feel a little better when I do. So, I mustered up a HIIT routine and the sweating and breathing did me some good! After that, I was able to do some additional strength training. It forced me to focus on the task at hand and it got me out of my feelings for a bit. Fitness is not the answer for everything; but it can alleviate stress and create in you a sense of calm. Sometimes, that’s all you can do and it is enough for that moment. That’s 5 🖐🏽! And I’m grateful I was able to hold it down this week. Enjoy your weekend, hug your loved ones. Tell people you love them while you can. 🫶🏽

Day 3 of 5 day workout week:
Hump day is pump day! I got my training going at 8 a.m. sharp today! Not gonna lie, I definitely feel sore and tired. But, I like the feeling of getting it done early!
After a 10 minute warmup on the elliptical, I got in just under 40 minutes of HIIT workout plus 20 minutes of compound weight training and stretching.
I’m tired! 😵‍💫 But, I’m in the home stretch now! Hoping for a good night of rest and recovery. 🙏🏽
