How to Pick the Perfect Mobile App Development Company
Hey Tumblr fam, let’s talk about something real: turning your app idea into a living, breathing digital masterpiece. Maybe you’ve got a killer concept—something that could rival TikTok or make budgeting less of a snooze-fest. But here’s the catch: you need the right mobile app development company to bring it to life. Picking the wrong one? That’s a fast track to wasted time, drained savings, and a half-baked app that nobody downloads.
I’ve been there—dreaming big, scrolling endlessly, and wondering, “How do I even start choosing the best app development services?” Spoiler: it’s less about tech jargon and more about finding a team that gets you. So, grab your coffee (or tea, no judgment), and let’s break this down, human-to-human. Here’s your guide to hiring mobile app developers who won’t leave you ghosted—or broke.
Step 1: Know What You Want (Even If It’s Vague)
Before you Google “top mobile app development companies near me,” pause. What’s your app about? Is it a game-changer for small businesses? A fitness tracker with sass? Or just something to make your friends laugh? You don’t need a 50-page plan, but a rough idea helps. Think:
Purpose: What problem does it solve?
Audience: Who’s downloading this? Teens? Busy moms? Tech geeks?
Budget: Ballpark it—$5K? $50K?
Pro tip: Jot this down. It’s your North Star when app developers start throwing buzzwords like “Flutter” or “React Native” at you. A clear vision keeps you grounded.
Step 2: Hunt for App Developers Who Speak Your Language
Not every mobile app development firm is a match. Some are corporate robots; others are chill startups. You want a vibe check. Here’s how to find your people:
Portfolio Peek: Check their past work. Built an e-commerce app? A social platform? If they’ve nailed something close to your idea, they’re in the running.
Reviews & Real Talk: Dig into client testimonials—Google, Clutch, or even Reddit threads. Did they deliver on time? Were they cool to work with?
Communication Style: Email them a quick “hey, I’ve got an idea—can we chat?” If they reply like humans (not auto-bots) and ask smart questions, that’s a green flag.
Semantic tip: Look for “reliable app development services” or “trusted mobile app developers” in reviews—it’s a sign they’re not just coding cowboys.
Step 3: Tech Skills Matter (But Don’t Obsess)
Okay, let’s get a little nerdy. The best app development companies know their stuff—iOS, Android, cross-platform, you name it. But unless you’re a coder, don’t sweat the details. Focus on:
Experience: Have they built apps for your industry (e.g., healthcare, gaming)?
Tools: Do they use modern frameworks like Swift, Kotlin, or something scalable?
Future-Proofing: Can they update your app when iOS 19 or Android 15 drops?
Long-tail bonus: Search “hire mobile app developers with cross-platform expertise” to find versatile teams. You want pros who can flex, not flop.
Step 4: Budget Without Breaking the Bank
Money talks, right? Mobile app development costs vary wildly—$10K for a simple app, $100K+ for the next big thing. Here’s the trick:
Get Quotes: Ask 3-5 companies for estimates. Compare apples to apples (features, timeline, support).
Value Over Cheap: The lowest bid might mean buggy code or zero support. Look for “affordable app development services” that don’t skimp on quality.
Payment Plans: Some firms offer milestones (pay as they build). It’s less scary than dropping a lump sum.
Real story: My friend went with a dirt-cheap developer. Six months later? App crashed, dev vanished. Pay for peace of mind.
Step 5: Test Their Team Spirit
A great app isn’t just code—it’s collaboration. The best mobile app development companies treat you like a partner, not a paycheck. Ask:
Who’s on Deck?: Designers, coders, testers—do they have a full squad?
Updates: Will they keep you in the loop with demos or progress chats?
Support: Post-launch, will they fix bugs or help with updates?
Semantic vibe: “choosing a mobile app development firm with strong teamwork” is a hidden gem. Solo freelancers might flake; a solid crew sticks around.
Step 6: Gut Check + Contract
Found a contender? Trust your instincts. If they feel shady—pushy sales, vague answers—run. Then:
Sign Smart: Get a contract. Scope, timeline, costs—lock it in.
Ask Dumb Questions: “What if I hate it?” or “What’s the refund vibe?” Good devs won’t blink.
Tumblr truth: Your gut’s smarter than you think. Pair it with a paper trail, and you’re golden.
Why This Matters
Your app’s your baby. Handing it to the wrong mobile app development company is like trusting a stranger with your diary. Pick a team that’s skilled, real, and ready to roll with your quirks. The world’s waiting—don’t let a bad choice hold you back.
So, where you at with your app idea? Drop it in the replies—I’m all ears! And if you’ve got dev horror stories (or wins), spill the tea. Let’s vibe about this.

Something Precious
Tumblr media
Disclaimer: Art is not mine
Request from @wacky-nerdchick I really hope you like it!! Im so nervous!! 😁🫠
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Questions began to arise about Sullivan's new found grandson. One of which was about his mother. So to help keep up appearances, you were appointed to be his "mom." Of course, like Iruma, you lived in the Sullivan household as the Chair Demons "daughter," and also like Iruma you were human. You took to the role very quickly, being the loving, nurturing, and very fearless mother for the young boy.
You were hired on at Babyls more so as Sullivan's secretary, he wanted you close being you were nowhere near as timid and cautias as Iruma. Not one bit. You were much bolder, unafraid of the fact you worked with and around demons that would devour you if they knew you were human. It wasn't uncommon for you and Kalego to go head to head especially when he would bad mouth your precious "son."
Balam would be the one to break off the fight. The man would throw you over his shoulder and speed off to his office where he'd lock his door and attempt to scold you about your position. Thanks to Iruma, he knew you were human.
"You need to be more careful!" He'd say, "do you understand the danger you could get into!" But the scolding never lasted long, all it took was one hug or a gentle hand grab, looking at him with your soft doe eyes and saying, "But you'd protect me, wouldn't you, Shichiro?" And the demon was basically putty in your hands.
Where most would run and hide from his skinship, you would happily accept it, and even return the gesture, which caused this great, fearsome looking demon to melt. When he'd place a hand on your shoulder, you would gladly place your hand over his. If he patted your head, you would lean into him, resting your head on his chest. You were fond of him.
It was the moment you saw him sitting in the school gardens, petting and playing with small demon rabits did your heart skip a beat. His gentle nature, the way your heart would flutter when he smiles at you, the way your skin tingles with heat when he touches you. It was no suprise you developed a deep crush on him, and you believed he felt the same. The way he'd seek you out in the crowded halls, the way his hand would brush yours before he tangled his index and middle fingers with yours. He would schedule times during lunch a few times a week to talk about differences in humans and demons and the world's they lived in. He wanted you prepared and safe by understanding more about the Netherworld.
Today however, was going to be different.
All morning you had preped yourself, giving your self a good pep talk that you would take it an extra step further. You did one last small spin in your full length mirror, happy with the white sundress covered in a light green leaf pattern that you chose to wear before heading off to the school.
~~~~~~~~~~
Your eyes never left the clock, causing time to seem like it was dragging on. When lunch came around, quickly you darted from your desk to Balam's office, giving his closed door a small knock. "Come in." He deep voice rang, making a smile grow on your face which only widened when you see him sitting at his desk, his drawing pen in his hand and a half finished picture book laid in front of him.
"(Y/n!) Let me make some tea!" He nearly jumped from his desk, the action causing him to bump the desk and things to fell to the floor. "Here, please sit, I'll clean this quick!" He gestured to one of the stools by his book shelf. But while he was distracted with picking things up off the floor, you made your way to him. You can do this, you told yourself, you can do this!
You slowly bent down next to him, gulping. Your heart was pounding in your chest, for a second you thought it would burst. Your hands were shaking as you reached for him, eyes fluttering shut. It's nothing huge, just a small kiss on the mask is all.
It was when your hands cupped his cheeks and lips made contact with something soft and warm, instead of cold metal did your eyes snap open. In the midst of picking things up from the floor, his mask must have fallen off, and instead of it, you were actually kissing him, his lips, his scar, his fangs. His wide eyes were on you and in a moment you jumped back. "I... I'm sorry, i... uh..." Your face definitely was putting the color red to shame. Flustered you quickly turned and left his office, face to the floor, to afraid to meet his gaze after such an embarrassing moment.
~~~~~~~~~~
The next few days where awkward, you avoided the halls, his classroom, him. You even held your tounge with Kalego. Your akward behavior even grabbed your "son's" attention. "Is everything okay, uh, mom?" Iruma asked. "Yes, i'm fine dear, just a bit anxious!" You lied, he looked more surprised then worreid now. "You? Anxious? But how, your so bold!" You pat his head with a smile, "Hey now, even the bravest of people can feel scared to ya know."
Guilt had began to take over as you couldn't help but think how you possibly ruined what you and Balam had. You knew how slightly self conscious he was about himself with his mask off, and how he wore it so he wouldn't look as ferocious and wouldn't scar away students and creature he loved to pet and hold. However you could only imagine how he felt when you ran out on him without an explanation.
It seemed he too was avoiding you being he never called nor texted you since the kiss. You hadn't even caught one glimps of him like you used to, not even around Kalego. Did he hate the kiss? Did he dislike you? Did he not think of you like that? Did be want to eat you more now? Does he think you fear him because of how you ran away? Your mind was a frenzy, so much so you hadn't noticed the figure closing in from behind you as you walked down the hall.
With a sudden gasp, you felt yourself being pulled into a near by room. Before you could scream you hear a familiar voice. "It's okay, it's okay, it's me." Wide (y/c/e) eyes met his, red beginning to dust your face. "B... Balam!"
"I've been looking for you, I was worried someone found out you were human and got you. But I found you. But that's because i followed your human scent. Did you remeber your purfume today?" One of his arms wrapped around your waist and pulled you close against his chest while the other brushed hair behind your ear. Without thinking you quickly blurted, "I'm so sorry, I wasn't afraid of you or you without your mask I just... I meant to kiss you on the mask and when I kissed you i... I got scared that you would be upset or you didn't feel the same and...."
His free hand pulled his mask off while you stammered on. Balam silences you when his mouth pressed to yours. Your eyes widened a moment before closing. Your body moving on its own and pressing more into him, one of your hands resting on his chest. He pulled away first and held you close. Feeling his tight hold on you had you feeling weak. Never had he held you like this, normally it was gentle touches or soft hugs, but this was different. His hold on you right now reminded you of someone holding something they never wanted to lose.
"I... I'm sorry, I thought you'd hate me after what I did, so I..." you stopped when you felt his forehead press against yours. "I could never hate you (y/n). You're very precious to me." His words made your stomach flutter, your legs nearly giving out when he took your hand in his, interlocking his large fingers with your tiny ones, your body pressed more into him from the weakness that came with the wave of relief that flooded over you. "Y... your precious to me too." You sighed, pressing your face more into his chest and wrapping your arms around him the best you could.
Suddenly you felt a cool mist hit your skin and jumped back a bit. In Balam's hand was a spray bottle, "Sorry, but I don't want anyone else picking up on your scent." Balam said, scratching the back of his head. You smile and eagerly take his hand in yours. "Let's go, you'll be late for your lesson."
"S...shichiro?" The familiar and shocked voice of Kalego turned you both to stone.
All a Game — Din Djarin
warnings: (18+) language/dirty talk, rough sex (piv), oral (m+f), hair pulling, orgasm denial, (kind of) hate sex (piv)  summary: As a fellow Mandalorian, you find yourself traveling with the bounty hunter and his kid despite the mutual dislike you seem to have for one another. Everything goes well (more or less), until he nearly gets both of you killed. He gets tired of your mouth.
He was infuriating.
Originally you had given him the benefit of the doubt, when it came to the (stupid) helmet debacle. If you had lived a certain way for the high majority of your life, your beliefs and sense of self completely and thoroughly twisted a particular way, it was difficult to simply step away from that when presented with something different — something that completely contrasted with what you staked your life on.
In other, simpler words, the silver Mandalorian’s response to your face was as expected.
However, as his arrogant and you’re-beneath-me attitude continued, the less patience you could continue to muster. He and his beliefs were superior to you just because he kept an oversized tin can over his head at at times? Don’t think so.
You were just as much a Mandalorian as him.
Nevertheless, here you were. Abandoning Bo Katan and the others for him and the little green bean foundling under his care and protection. While you argued it was for his sake, as no Mandalorian should ever stand alone, you knew it was primarily because of Bo Katan herself. While experienced and cunning, you grew tired of their quest you never saw happening — the retaking of Mandalore. It was a child’s dream. One you were no longer interested in entertaining.
Traveling with the nearly-mute Mandalorian held quite the learning curve. Neither of you were too thrilled with the other (considering the stark difference in beliefs), but there was enough respect for one another to quietly exist around one another. He would occupy himself in the cockpit doing whatever he did up there, while you fed the Child and listened to his cooing and babbling, occasionally offering your own opinions on subjects. You doubted his adopted father encouraged conversation much at all, given he wasn’t much of a conversationalist himself.
While the pair slept in their tiny, shared compartment, you were a few feet away in your own that he had (surprisingly) made out of another compartment that had originally been acting as some sort of storage. The little green bean would occasionally sneak out of his hammock and make his way to yours, often snuggling between your arms and snuggling his little body to your chest.
The three of you fell into a strangely comfortable arrangement, until he agreed to a certain bounty that, apparently, required the both of you. While you were not too keen to the guns-for-hire career he had undertaken, you understood the need to survive and instead stayed behind to watch the little one while he was out.
“I don’t understand who you could possibly be hunting that you can’t take on your own.” You had begun slipping your armor on, which had previously taken estate in your personal storage; there was no need to wear it when the majority of your time was spent in or near the Razor Crest. You could hear him rustling with something behind you, though you focused on the faded-scarlet color painted on your armor.
“They want them alive.” He stated simply, as if those four words completely and thoroughly explained the situation. You turned towards him then, eyes already rolling and an annoyed look sent in his general direction. There were only a few things you missed when it came to traveling with Bo Katan and the others — one of, if not the most major, being conversation.
“What about the little one?”
He glanced in the Child’s direction, currently drawing in his notebook he had been given when your companion had come across it in the shops of Tattooine. “He’ll be fine. No one will be able to come on board.”
You sighed. Of the few things you truly disliked about the Mandalorian, one of them was that he treated the little one as older than he truly was. It didn’t matter that he was soon hitting his 51st birthday. He was mentally as old as a two-year old child. He didn’t truly understand the difference between safety and danger. He was still trying to grasp the whole concept of using the vacc tube.
You must have pulled a face then, as you caught a muffled sigh and one of your blasters being pushed into yours hands. “The sooner we get them, the sooner we can return.” You imagined he held your gaze as you looked at him, his words offering a semblance of comfort and security. “Let’s go.”
With a nod, you tucked your blasters into their respective holsters and kneeled in front of the little one. He immediately softly cooed in greeting, head raising and ears flicking in your direction. He held a red crayon in one hand, seemingly drawing a big, red dust cloud. “Hey, green bean. You stay on the ship, okay? No opening the doors and exploring without us.” He released a sound you knew to be one of disappointment (the same one he made when you said dinner was over), ears and head dropping as if being scolded.
You smiled and touched his hand, heart fluttering as his three fingers curled around one of your own. “Draw your daddy a pretty picture, okay? We have to fill the entire cockpit.” He squealed at the idea, head dropping and resuming his drawing without another sound.
The sound of the airlock hissing open is what eventually tore you away.
✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷
“Will you shut up?”
Your chest heaved as you forced oxygen into your lungs, currently behind the cover of a large tree and the Mandalorian a few feet away, seemingly doing the same as his chest rapidly rose and fell. You sent him a glare that spilled nothing but poison, wishing more than anything that he could see your face through your visor. “You’re the one who didn’t know the stupid bounty had a crew! It’s one against twenty!” You hissed, doing the utmost to ignore the burning in your shoulder. One had managed to a blaster shot in the tiny space between your armor and knew blood was no doubt staining the inside of it. At the back of your mind, you begrudgingly noted you’d have to paint the pretty armor again, once safe and sound in the ship. It was a painstakingly slow process.
The Mandalorian apparently didn’t feel that comment deserved a response, as he merely glanced from cover to the enemy before them. Their footsteps were nearing closer, close enough to hear the shouts they shared between one another.
“You’re insufferable!” You stood and dug into your pouch, eventually coming across the tiny discs you had developed yourself and tossing them about the bushes. If anything were on your side in your current predicament, it was the flush greenery the planet held. It didn’t matter your armor’s coloring was a stark contrast, it was cover nonetheless.
Your companion was forced to follow your lead, the sound of his blaster sounding off and quickly followed by screams of pain. As an ugly blue-colored Quarren neared you, you kicked out a foot to knock his knee out from under him.
It was official. You hated the Mandalorian.
✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷ - ✷
“You could have gotten us killed.” He dragged the body of the bounty behind him, knocked out cold and his arms cuffed. The two of you had hardly spoken on the way back to the ship, though there was no shortage of dirty looks (from you) aimed at the back of his helmet.
Per usual, there was no response from him as the ramp for the ship descended.
“All for what? A few hundred credits?” Discarding your helmet and tossing it aside, you watched as he froze the bounty in carbonite. It was official — talking to a wall was more entertaining than talking to him. “There are hundreds of different ways to survive! But no, you have to do this bullshit?”
Abruptly and suddenly, as quick as a flash of lightning, he was standing just a breath from you. “If this lifestyle isn’t good enough for you princess,” he spat, “Then, by all means, get the fuck off my ship.”
You stared into his visor for a moment, resisting the urge to take a step back and away from the aura of anger and distaste he was exerting. While you certainly weren’t his biggest fan in the galaxy, you weren’t ignorant. You were more than aware of how capable this man was. Nonetheless, you knew you’d be able to hold your own against him.
“And leave the kid with you?” You laughed, briefly enjoying the amount of sarcasm it dripped. “He’d be dead in a parsec.”
“I seem to remember how completely fine he was without you.” If you were being completely honest, that one hurt. You’d grown so attached to the little swamp rat and the idea of him being fine without you around made your stomach turn.
“You’re an asshole.” There was a brief sound of static before he laughed. As if you had told a fucking joke. He leaned even closer then, arm raising to lean his weight against the wall behind you. Briefly, the smell of leather and something untamed filled your every sense. It was intoxicating, you wanted to drown in it until it was seared in your very brain.
“Yeah?” He questioned, helmet dipped so low you could feel the coolness on your forehead. “Say it again.” He dared, a leather-covered hand inching up until his thumb touched your throat. It was nothing but a touch, but a thousand goosebumps blossomed at the contact alone.
“You’re an...” The breath whooshed from your lungs as the touch left your throat and down to your hip, spun one-eighty and chest suddenly pressed against the wall of the Razor Crest. A bite of metal stung at your back, his beskar pressing into the divot between your own. He remained painfully silent, though deft fingertips began to explore the crevice between your back armor and the waistband of your pants. “Asshole.”
Before the word was out of your throat and past your lips, the buckle that kept your back and abdomen armor was released and the red armor was left clattering to the floor. Large hands were shoving at your trousers until they were loose at your ankles, unsure of just what was happening until a hand roughly grasped your ass, so tightly you were positive fingerprint marks were left behind.
His touch returned to your neck, pulling you against his chest and causing the back of your head to painfully clash against his helmet. “You and that fucking mouth.” He murmured darkly, his own hips pressing against your bare skin. His length strained against his own slacks, offering a sick kind of relief that was anything but. It was a promise, but one you weren’t truly sure he would give — you knew he was enjoying the torment he was putting you through. “I’m going to shove my cock into that pretty mouth and make you shut up for once.”
You made a small noise at the back of your throat, purposely shoving your hips further against him. “Then do it.”
Before you could blink, you were spun once more and a leg skillfully kicked your own out from under you until you were on your knees. His visor was tilted low enough to know he was watching you, his head tilting just enough to say, “well?”.
Without another thought, you were unclasping his slacks and releasing his cock. It sprung free wholeheartedly, his tip swollen a deep red and so pretty and so much.
As if able to hear your thoughts, you caught the faint sound of amusement from him before his fingers curled into your hair and wrenched your head upwards so you were forced to meet his unseen gaze. “I think this is the longest you’ve ever been silent since we met, an’edee.” He took a short moment to trace his thumb over the nape of your head, securely and effectively collecting your hair into his fist. “Now, suck.”
You didn’t argue, lips falling open just in time for the slight jar he gave to your head towards his dick. He pushed no further than past his tip, giving you ample time to explore and appreciate. You did just that with silent glee, tongue swiping slow and languid laps, beginning at his shift and slowly upwards. He remained silent as you continued your slow exploration, the only indication that was he remotely affected being the slight twitch of his fingers in your hair.
You lifted a hand to stroke his length with a lazy admiration, pushing your spit where your mouth had yet to touch... Yet. He was torturously thick and as your fingers traced the pulsing vein on the underside of him, he twitched and it seemed to surge forward on its own volition. As if it was attempting to push even more blood into his dick just to reach your mouth faster.
Nevertheless, he remained eerily but characteristically silent.
You took him in your mouth once more, daring to take that much more and gently caressing what remained. It was hardly more than a caress, but enough to keep him interested and wanting. You set a slow, but steady pace, ferociously ignoring the fiery blaze that licked at your own heat.
He stood there, still clad in his untouchable armor and blasters still in their holsters — untouchable. It didn’t matter his cock was in your mouth. He was still as much as in control as ever.
It became a game. You wanted him to react. You wanted him to fall apart.
Your gaze flickered back up to him as your pace quickened, more than aware that his own had never wavered from the sight of his cock steadily pumping into your hot mouth. You didn’t need to see through his darkened visor to know.
Just as you moved to caress one of his balls, still partially shielded by his slacks, he caught your wrist in a near-painful hold. A displeased growl echoed through his helmet, ripping you away from him and to your feet. You couldn’t help the wicked grin that settled on your lips, swiping your own spit from your bottom lip with a thumb.
“You want to tease?” He questioned, one hand roughly guiding you to the table he tended to use as a make-shift worktable, bending you over it with ease while his other hand swiped for something against the wall. It wasn’t until the lights flickered shut and the sound of heavy metal clashing against metal stung at your ears, that you knew what was happening.
He gave no warning as his tongue flirted between your folds, causing your body to naturally tighten at the abrupt intrusion. It was too good, too much, when there was little warning beforehand.
He lapped eagerly, rotating from languid, deep strokes of his tongue and abrupt, sharp sucking at your sensitive, singing clit. What his intentions were were incredibly clear. This wasn’t soft love between two people who loved one another. He was going to fuck you and tease your every limit, and make you love every fucking second of it.
Each time your body would instinctively jump away, either from a harsh nip at your sensitive thighs or it simply being too much at once, an unforgiving hand would tighten its hold on your leg and drag you back to his mouth.
In a matter of minutes, with his facial hair sharply biting at your skin and his unrelenting tongue, you were keening. However, he refused you any kind of release. The moment your thighs tightened or breath quickened, he would make a soft sound of amusement and deter his movements until your body sagged in anything but relief.
At the third or fourth rotation of the infuriating game, you finally caved. “If you don’t let me fucking cum, I’m going to—,” He cut you off before you could finish, lifting himself up until his lips were touching the shell of your ear.
“I thought you’d learned.” He used one hand to lick his fingers, rewetting his tip while the other caught you around your throat. Mid-breath, he impaled you with one thrust, seemingly unable to help his own gruff groan. “To keep that pretty mouth shut.” He breathed, using his grip at your throat to drag you back down with each thrust.
A soft sound spilled from you each time his hips met your pelvic bone, promising you’d feel him for days, each time you moved. His pace was unrelenting, hardly ever giving you the time to even realize he was gone before he was thrusting back in.
His teeth nipped at your ear as he fucked you near senselessly, quickly and nearly effortlessly drawing the orgasm you’d been begging for once more. “You like this, don’t you? Being fucked like this.” A string of profanities fell from you then, so fucking close and wanting to cum so badly. If he were to give it to you, you would have given him anything.
“Want to cum, pretty thing?” He questioned, the lewd sounds of your fucking only worsening as he continued. “Beg for it.”
You did so without question. “Please, please, please—” A sharp sound from your throat cut you off, just as his free hand circled your clit once and you swore you saw the heavens above. Your orgasm was ripped out of you, squeezing yourself so tight around him, his grasp on your throat loosened and his forehead fell against your shoulder.
He came with a low grunt, pulling out from your warmth and spilling on your back. He stood unmoving for the faintest of moments, as if aware you still hadn’t returned to the present just yet.
You released a shaky breath and touched your forehead to the cool metal underneath you. “Well, fuck Mando. You’ve been holding out on me.”
He instantly sighed and you imagined the curt shake of his head. “That fucking mouth.”
Missing Moment
Okay, I've been sorta fed up with Titans not giving us these in between scenes where Kori and Dick interact and they find out things about each other.  So I decided to write a missing moment that would have happened in 3x06.
(I don't think this story has spoilers, but I guess read at your own risk if you haven't seen 3x06)
You can find the full story here at my FF.Net
As always, happy reading!
---------------
It’d been a rough couple of days. Between Hank blowing up and Dawn leaving for Paris….things were not the same. Kori often finds herself in the kitchen cleaning whatever nonexistent dishes were in the sink, taking the time to focus on something she can control.
Kom was here, that was a new development. And Dick was not happy about that.
Kori scoffs as she tosses the soaked sponge back into the sink and grabs the blue dish rag on the counter, drying her hands. Deep in her thoughts, she missed the lithe steps coming from down the hall.
“Hey.” She jumps slightly, caught off guard at Dick’s sudden presence. She looks up at the black clock on the wall.
1AM.
She tosses the rag on the counter and brushes past him to the living area, not wanting to hear what he had to say to her about Kom. She has to deal with her shit and he has his to deal with, and by the looks of the time, she figures he may have “figured out” his issues with Barbara given the late hour, but she won’t let her mind drift there.
He sighs, “Kori-“
She turns, giving him a sharp look. Her green eyes slightly flash bright, “What? More judgements, Grayson?”
His thick brows furrow in confusion before relaxing in understanding, “Look, I was being-“
“A dick.” She cuts him off, a smile gracing her lips.
Dick rolls his eyes at the comment, nearly hearing it more than he’d care to admit. But he couldn’t help the laugh that leaves his chest.
How does she do that?
“Sure, whatever. I was rude and didn’t respect you when you told me something was going on and I’m sorry.”
Kori’s eye widen, “Wow, Dick Grayson is apologizing.”
He bashfully grins. “It’s known to happen on occasion.”
Kori arches her brow at him and shakes her head, causing her curls to flutter at her shoulders. She doesn’t miss how Dick looks at her, but she pushes that light feeling down.
Not yet.
He walks over to the fridge and pulls out two beers, “Here.” He slides one across the counter, she catches it gracefully and pops the cap with her thumb as she watches Dick reach for the bottle opener on the fridge.
They take their drinks to the living area and settle on the sofa. They didn’t speak for a few moments, just savoring the few silent beats near the raging fire. Kori noticed Gotham was a very cold place. Hardly any sun during the day and the night a deep shadow of darkness. No wonder no one goes out at night.
“When I first came to Wayne Manor, I tried every way I could to leave.” Dick started. His beer rolling between his hands, peeling at the red label. Kori noticed this as a nervous tick of Dick’s, always fiddling with his batons or scratching the back of his neck. Whatever he was going to say, it was in confidence to her.
“Being back her has been…” he takes a swing of his drink. “It’s been tough. I feel myself reverting back to who I was before I left. Back to the guy who goes off on his own and acts like-like”
“Like Batman.”
He looks over at her and nods, “Yeah.”
“You know you’re not him, right?”
“Hm.” He doesn’t seem to believe her.
Kori leans forward, her thigh brushing against his lightly, “Listen to me. You are not him. Okay? You’re Dick Grayson, leader of the Titans. Sure, you have your flaws-”
“Hey!” his face brightens up at the jab.
“But you’re you. No one can take that.” She sips at her beer and settles back against the couch. “Besides, I think you’d look ridiculous in the Bat-suit.”
Dick lets out a hearty laugh making Kori smile.
He should laugh more.
He stares at her for a moment, his dark eyes gazing at her. She knows that look, it takes her back to the last time they were alone like this.
But now isn’t the time.
She clears her throat, breaking his gaze to stare into the fire lighting the room.
“I’m sorry about your parents, Kor.” She wasn’t expecting him to bring it up, hell she hoped she could chug the rest of her beer before having to continue this conversation.
She shrugs her shoulders, “I don’t really know how I feel about it right now.” It was her turn to distract herself from the inevitable. She lets her long fingers tangle in her curls, wrapping and unwrapping them from her fingers. She hadn’t seen her parents for a few years now. And even if she had, she doesn’t remember. Her memories have come back randomly, but not completely. If anything, it makes her feel even worse. Not remembering the last time she saw them.
She first feels the couch dip next to her and then Dick’s warm, callous hand wrap around hers, pulling it free from her hair. He rests their clasped hands on his leg, his thumb running slowing over her knuckles.
“Hey,” he tilts his head slightly, giving her that typical soft Dick Grayson look. The same look he gave her when they decided to figure themselves out first before seeing what this could be. It breaks a small part of her, not meaning to, but a small tear falls down her cheek. Dick, being who he is, wipes it away without thought.
Kori takes a deep breath and close her eyes, letting herself feel comforted. Usually she’d just suck it up and be a tough bitch. But after a while…it builds up.
She lets her head rest on his shoulder, taking whatever comfort he’s offering.
“Dick?”
“Yeah?”
“Who were you before this, before Wayne Manor?” she feels his hand tighten in hers. She can feel him contemplating what to say. She didn’t expect him to tell her everything, but she would like to know him better.
“It’s-it’s complicated.” He sighs, the rush of air moving through him.
“Then uncomplicate it.”
He shakes his head grinning slightly, “You’re a pushy person, you know that?”
“Stop stalling, Grayson.” She looks up at him seeing his eyes brighten looking down at her and then looks towards the fire place. But then his eyes became clouded, like he was preparing for something horrible to happen.
“When I was a kid, my parents and I were part of the circus. Hayley’s Circus. We’d travel from city to city preforming all over…” his eyes glazed slightly, watching the fire intently. Kori lets her free hand settle on his heart, letting him know she’s there.
It was enough to help him keep going, “We were called ‘The Flying Graysons’. Our act was the main attraction because we wouldn’t use a safety net…” Dick takes another sip of his nearly empty beer and sets it on the side table.
“Our first night here, in Gotham, a mob boss named Tony Zucco threated Mr. Haly to hire protection while the circus was in town, but refused. Later on during our act…” Dick stops, needing a moment before continuing. “Zucco hired someone to tamper with the trapeze ropes, so when it came to my parents swinging towards me, they fell.”
“Oh, Dick…” Kori’s heart never felt so broken. She could feel Dick tighten his hand around hers, holding on to whatever life line he had here in the present, while working through his troubled past. She could feel his heartbeat fast under her hand. His face was impassive, solely focused on the light of the fire, but his body was reacting for him.
He seemed to come back to himself after a moment, closing his eyes and opening them again to peer down at her. “I was angry for a while after, but then Bruce showed me how to transform that anger into something else. But it took me a few years to realize he turned me into a weapon.”
Kori nods in understanding, not trusting her voice to say much.
“But after I left Gotham, went to Detroit to start over. I hadn’t changed much. I was still doing the same shit just in a different city. But when Rachel came along things changed. I felt myself change. I think I actually had hope things might get better again.
“And they were. Well, besides all the Trigon bullshit and Slade. I think things have been good.”
“Until you came back to Gotham.” Kori added. Dick nods in agreement.
“Yeah, before I came back here and fell back into old habits.”
“You mean going off on your own, finding old friends to fight with and getting shot at? Yeah, sounds about right.” She grins at him, lightening the mood.
“Yeah, that’s me.” His face changed again. Kori is surprised that someone that is well trained to be impassive, he shows all his emotions through his eyes.
“And you?” he asks. Kori looks at him questioningly. “What’s going on with you and Kom?”
Kori scoffs, “Trust me you do not want to know that mess.”
“Try me.”
She contemplates it for a moment, trying to figure out where to start.
“Well…um…” she huffs in frustration. “Listen, the relationship between me and Kom has always been strained. She always had issues following the rules and listening to our parents. It often led her to getting in trouble all the time. She’s my older sister and she always had to rebel.
“As for me, I followed the rules. I did what was expected of me and since I’m-“ Kori stops, realizing she was about to tell Dick she’s a princess, technically a “queen” of Tamaran. But she keeps it to herself.
“I’m just not sure her true intentions here, but I also couldn’t leave her down there with the scientists for the rest of her life. It wasn’t right.”
Dick nods in understanding, “What do you think she’s up to?”
“I have no idea, but I hope she’s changed.” Kori knew it was foolish to believe that, but part of her wants her sister to be better, to do better.
“For the team’s sake, I hope so too. We can’t have a possible threat living with us.” Kori rolls her eyes and untangles herself from Dick’s side, letting go of his hand in the process. She can already feel the cold feeling of loneliness creeping in already, but she shakes it off.
“I should head to bed.”
Dick runs his hand through his hair and stands up, “Shit—Kori, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean-“
“Yes, you did. And you’re right. We have to be careful.”
She turns to leave the room, but not before glancing back one last time. “Thank you for telling me about your past.”
Dick grins in return, watching as Kori ascends up the stairs to her room.
Part of him wants to follow her, missing the warmth he knows she can provide. A warmth the deepest parts of himself remembers all too well. But he shakes himself from the thought and tips back his beer for one last sip before heading to bed.
The Nanny
request: “Hello, could you write something where a few years after the death of his wife Draco hires a new nanny for Scorpius and ends up falling in love with her... could have anguish, but the ending would be happy? Please!My first language is not English I'm sorry if you got confused.” - @trouxa2x
a/n: i hope this is what you wanted! and your english is great don’t worry :) also-there is a phone call which is in italics and song lyrics for La Vie en Rose by Edith Piaf in italics
pairing: Draco Malfoy x Nanny!Reader
word count: 2.2k
warnings: mention of death for like a moment
summary: After the birth of his son and the death of his wife, Draco Malfoy needs a nanny
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The day Draco Malfoy’s son was born was the happiest and saddest day of his life. His loving wife Astoria had been diagnosed with a blood curse that killed her moments after Scorpius was born. His first breath, had been her last. Although he knew this would be the likely outcome, it was still crushing. Draco didn’t like to talk about his emotions and knew the only way to get over his wife’s death would be to burry himself in his work as a Healer. But with a baby, he couldn’t just shut out the world. He needed help. It was obvious he was struggling.
During the long process of making amends after the war, Draco had some how become close to the golden trio he had despised so much as a child. Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione had all come by to meet Scorpius and check in on Draco. He looked awful. The bags under his eyes were worse than during the war. “I have a friend who is looking for some work as a nanny, she’s great with kids, babies especially. I’ll get you her number” Hermione said, rummaging through her purse looking for her contacts book. Draco nodded slightly. He had considered getting a nanny but the idea of another woman acting motherly toward Scorpius made him feel sick. However, Draco politely took the number and thanked Hermione.
As the months continued on Draco found it easier to care for Scorpius. He had taken up a job as a consultant for the hospital so he could spend most of his time at home with his son. But as the months stretched into years, Draco grew depressed. Scorpius became fussier and fussier and the hospital was begging for him to come back as a full time Healer. “It’s time” Draco thought. He looked through the drawers of his desk until he found the phone number Hermione had given him nearly two years prior. He dialed the number, feeling anxious and unsure of exactly what to say.
“Hello?” a female voice answered.
“Hi um is this Y/F/N Y/L/N?”
“This is she, may I ask who is calling?”
“Oh yes um this is Draco Malfoy. I’m a friend of Hermione Gran- I mean Weasley’s.”
“Oh hello! I remember she mentioned a few years back you might be in need of a nanny.”
“Yes! Well, I had been handling it pretty well but now I am finding myself in need of some help so I can go back to work…”
“I see. Let me guess, those ‘terrible two’s’ are in full swing right about now” she chuckled.
“Yes exactly! I was wondering if you would consider interviewing to become a live-in nanny for my son Scorpius. I am not sure for how long or what I would pay you but-”
“Don’t worry about that right now,” she interrupted. “I’m sure we could conduct a formal interview as well but may I come over and just meet Scorpius first? I find that sometimes the baby will tell the parent whether or not the nanny is the right fit, even before an interview.”
“Yes of course. Can you come over around 11 am tomorrow?”
“Yes. See you then. Good day”
“Thank you, cheers”
He hung up the phone. He looked over at Scorpius sitting in his high chair. The baby gurgled and threw some cereal to the ground. Then seeing his cereal on the ground, Scorpius started to wail at an incredible volume. The interview couldn’t come soon enough. The next day at 11 am sharp, Y/N knocked on the door. When Draco opened it, she was met with the chaos that had become his daily life. The house was a mess and Scorpius was screaming. “Hi, welcome. Sorry about the mess” he stammered, showing her into the house. “Nice to meet you Mr. Malfoy” she replied cheerily. Seemingly unfazed, she walked into the living room, put down her purse, and sat down next to the screaming baby. Draco watched her as she began to rub the baby’s back and started to softly sing. The baby slowly began to quiet down until he was quiet enough for Draco to hear what Y/N was singing.
~Quand il me prend dans ses bras, qu’il me parle tout bas. Je vois la vie en rose. Il me dit des mots d’amour, des mots de tous les jours, et ça m'fait quelque chose….~
The baby began to smile as Y/N picked him up and cradled him, still singing.
She then began to hum the tune more quietly and sway lightly. Scorpius’s eyes fluttered closed as he drifted to sleep. She smiled and looked up at his father. Draco was standing with his hand over his mouth, tears falling from his icy blue eyes. “Are you alright Mr. Malfoy?” she whispered. He nodded. He cleared his throat quietly before speaking. “La Vie en Rose was the song Astoria and I used for our first dance at our wedding”. “Oh I’m so sorry, if I had known I wouldn’t have…” He shook his head at her. “No it’s alright. I just… miss her”. She tilted her head sympathetically. “From what I’ve heard of her, she sounded lovely. I wish I could have met her.” Draco nodded and looked down at his shoes, trying to hold himself together.
“If you would tell me where his crib is I can put him down so we can start the formal interview. If you’d like” she said, knowing a subject change was what needed to occur. Draco nodded and gestured for her to follow him. Once Scorpius was in his crib, the adults went to the living room to discuss the particulars of the arrangement. Y/N told Draco about how she discovered her love for child care when she worked as a nanny for a short time while traveling in France. “When I came back to England, I worked for a few other Wizarding families including Hermione and Ron for a short time. Ron actually nick named me ‘the baby whisperer’” she said chuckling. “After what just happened, I’m inclined to believe him!” Draco replied. Without needing to consider it, Draco offered Y/N the job.
A year later Draco was still kicking himself daily for not hiring Y/N sooner. His life and mental health had improved drastically since she moved in. He was able to go back to working at the hospital full time and help people like he had always wanted. The two had developed a close friendship and Y/N became part of his family. The house felt almost foreign when she was gone. Though she was a live-in nanny, Draco still encouraged Y/N to take days off, and when she would go, Draco missed her terribly. He could tell Scorpius missed her too.
“You’re falling in love with her!” Hermione teased. She had come over to see Y/N and Draco and knew immediately. “What? No, she works for me. That would be highly inappropriate” he replied defensively. Hermione rolled her eyes. Draco looked across the room at Y/N. She was holding Scorpius near a window and was pointing at something and talking to him. Scorpius was giggling loudly and clapping his little chubby hands. Draco couldn’t help but smile. There was no doubt that he was fond of Y/N, but did he love her? She was great with Scorpius, she understood Draco’s feelings (sometimes better than he did), and she was beautiful. But her beauty wasn’t just external, she had a truly beautiful soul. Another six months went by before Draco was sure. He had fallen for Y/N. He hadn’t meant to fall for her, but she was easy to love. He tried not to act differently towards her but after the realization of his feelings, he couldn’t help it. It started with lingering glances and lead to going out of his way to have little moments of physical contact with her. Whether that was reaching for the same toy to give to Scorpius, or squeezing her hand to get her attention while Scorpius was sleeping. There was not a doubt in his mind about it. He loved her, whole heartedly.
Draco woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of Scorpius crying. He rubbed his eyes and rolled out of bed. He walked down the hallway and into his son’s room, only to find that Y/N was already there. She was standing with her back to the door, rocking Scorpius and singing to him. Draco stood outside of the room, leaning on the door frame as he watched Y/N calm the crying child. He couldn’t help but smile at her. Eventually, she stopped singing and spoke to Scorpius. “You are so loved Scorpius. Your dad loves you, I love you, and your mama loves in all the way from heaven.” Draco continued to smile but in a more melancholy way. Y/N had always made a point of talking to Scorpius about his mother, even though she knew the baby didn’t understand what she said. Draco still found it difficult to talk about Astoria, but Y/N had always insisted that Scorpius know how much his mother loved him, even though she was gone. She rocked him a few more times before placing him back into his crib. When she turned to face the door she smiled at Draco. “I’ll see you again in an hour or so” she joked. She walked past him and exited the room, making her way down to the first floor. Draco watched her walk away before returning to his room. Scorpius didn’t cry again that night but still Draco couldn’t sleep. He decided to go down to the kitchen and fix himself a sandwich, besides, if he was awake he might as well do something to pass the time. As he made his way down the hall to the stairs, he noticed a light was on in the kitchen. He walked down and found Y/N sitting in the kitchen. She was sitting at the kitchen counter eating a bowl of pasta and reading a book. She looked up when she heard him enter the room. “Can’t sleep?” she asked. He chuckled and nodded. “Welcome to the club. Look I even saved you a seat!” she joked, gesturing at the chair next to her.
He rummaged through the pantry and complied his sandwich. He then joined her at the table. She put her book down and angled herself in his direction. “You seem different” she said. He looked down at his plate, feeling a pit in his throat. He gulped. “What do you mean?” he asked. “You just seem…I don’t know, happier recently. I can’t put my finger on it”. Did she know about his feelings? Was she trying to bait him into admitting it? He forced himself to look at her. Even at 4 in the morning she was beautiful. He took a deep breath and decided to answer honestly. “I recently decided that I’m ready to open myself up to the idea of love again. Astoria wouldn’t want me to be alone for the rest of my life and something just told me its time” he said. Y/N smiled. “That’s really great Draco. I’m so happy for you”. She had a slight glimmer in her eye, she had to know. He eyed her a bit suspiciously. She laughed. “Ok ok don’t give me that look! Hermione might have mentioned to me that you had found someone and I had to ask! Whoever she is she’s a lucky girl” she turned back to her book.
Draco couldn’t believe what he heard. Y/N, the girl who some how knew him better than he knew himself, didn’t know he was in love with her! He smiled and rolled his eyes as he stood up and leaned his back against the counter, putting his hand over Y/N’s book. She looked up at him, some what puzzled. “Y/N, it’s you. I’ve fallen for you. Totally and completely” he said, hopefully sounding more courageous than he was feeling. Her jaw dropped. She couldn’t speak. She mouthed “me?” and pointed to herself. Draco’s smile widened and he nodded. She grinned. He cupped his hands around her cheeks and leaned in closely, so closely it was a wonder their eyelashes didn’t brush against each other. He waited for her to give him permission to close the gap between their bodies. “Kiss me” she whispered. He closed the gap and their lips touched, gently but still passionately. She stood up from her chair and rose to her tip toes as her hands played with his hair. The kissing became laughing as they came up for air. “I didn’t think it was possible to kiss someone and smile at the same time” Y/N said. “With you, I don’t think I’ll ever stop smiling”. There was a comfortable silence as they rested their foreheads against each other, enjoying being close. “I love you Y/N”. She looked up and into his eyes. “I love you too Draco”.

Principal’s Pet
This is part of the Cavill School Writing Challenge. Thank you for @killjoy-assbutt-1112 for creating this idea and @oh-for-fic-sake for making the challenge. I would love feedback from anyone who will be kind enough to give it.

If I’m missing anything, let me know.  There is barely any backstory, I just love little scenarios like this. If you are not into impact play, this might not be your flavor. However, please don’t yuck my yum.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Principal Cavill x Anita (ofc)
Word count: 2K
A mother’s lust
Smut below the cut!
Principal Cavill sat in his office, typing away at the report he was going to be submitting to the school board the next morning. The soft motorized sucking noise, a faint gasp and sultry moan filled the silence he left while pondering what to include next. His mechanical keyboard clacking rhythmically, he looked up from the screen and gazed at the woman tied to the chair next to his desk. She was one of the young, unwed mothers that had come to the Cavill Reform and Vocational School for Young Women seeking job skills from one of the programs they offered. The school had a private dormitory and child care for these women coming into the school for training. Some of the girls were there because other private schools would no longer take them, others were there because the school boasted a high success rate of getting the women hired after completion. Either way, over the years, it had developed a nickname. The girls enrolled referred to it as The Cavill School for Wayward Strumpets.
The strumpet currently soaking her panties on the wooden chair in his office was being punished for sneaking out after curfew. She evidently wanted to see her baby’s father. A few days ago, she had been in his office with her fussy baby, talking to him about how she didn’t know what she was going to do, but she appreciated the life skills she had been learning. She looked exhausted that afternoon. The principal asked her to hand the baby over to him. He gently rocked back and forth with the tiny infant in his arms. The little one let out a wail and then fell asleep.
“See, Anita, sometimes you just need to relax and the things you want will happen.” He said calmly. He looked at her big green eyes. Just below her eyes, he noticed the dampness growing across her breasts. The baby’s cries must have triggered her let down. He tried to keep his face neutral, but when she noticed, her face flushed deeply and he saw the humiliation written across her face. Between the breast milk, and that lovely blush that graced her face, he could feel himself stirring. She babbled an apology and covered herself. He offered her his dark blue sweater so she could go back to her dorm and change.  The sweater was so huge on her that it made him chuckle to himself. He handed the sleeping baby back to Anita and she shuffled off.
This morning, she was tied to the chair, school uniform skirt hiked up so he could see her little pink panties, her blouse was unbuttoned down to her waist, full tits pulled out over her bra cups with a fancy breast pump attached to her nipples. The pump had been draining her for the past twenty minutes and the milk pouches were almost completely full. Her pouty lips were held apart by a gag causing her to drool down her neck and chest. What the woman didn’t know was that the gag in her mouth was shaped after the head of Principal Cavill’s cock. He had shoved it her mouth after she wouldn’t stop backtalking to him in protest.
Anita let out a pained whimper. He said in a sweet tone “Oh dear, I should take those off of you, shouldn’t I. Your poor sensitive nipples.”
He removed the pumps from her chest. Eyeing the droplets left clinging on to her puffy, aching nipples, the Principal leaned forward and licked the liquid gold. The softness of his tongue after the harshness of the pump made her inhale sharply then moan. He fixed the pouches of milk and placed them in the little refrigerator in his office. He came back and started massaging her large breasts. Her eyes fluttered shut and she pushed her chest towards his hands. “You are a very good mummy, you know that right? You are doing the right thing for you and your little angel by being here. I see a lot of potential in you Anita, however, you still need to be punished.”
He took off his silk tie first, then his supple leather belt. He untied the young woman from the chair, and leaned her over his desk. She didn’t fight him at all. He used his silk tie to bind her arms behind her back. Stand behind her, he used one of his feet to spread her legs apart. He could see the pooling arousal in those light pink panties. “Little girl, you have earned fifteen lashes on this beautiful ass of yours. If you are a good girl and take this with some dignity, I’ll be sure to put in a good word with Mr Solo, and make sure he sends you something special for dinner. Alright?”
The bound woman nods her head. With his thick thumbs, he pulls the pink panties down by her knees. The first lash leaves a red welt across her perfect posterior. She yelps and flinches slightly. The second lash hits above the last, the next several hit different parts of her rump. By the ninth lash, he noticed that she was moaning more than yelping, raising her ass a little to meet the belt. Her sex glistened with her arousal. He paced out the last six as evenly as he could. Even with the special consideration he took with her backside, her skin was red and angry. He leaned forward to pull her panties back up for her when she arched her back and presented herself more to him. His office smelled like her gorgeous sex, and he wanted to bury himself in her rose colored core. He kissed one of the red welts gently. “You liked this, didn’t you? My little pain slut.”
Her eyes were dreamy as she nodded at him. He ran his hand up her thigh, stopping at the beautiful flower, begging to be watered. She pressed herself into his thumb that brushed against her sex. “You like feeling humiliated like this don’t you? Someone could just walk through that door and see what a slut you are for me. But I bet you want that, don’t you?”
Between the questions, he planted kisses on different welts, on the last one he bit down. The noise that came from around the gag in her mouth was primal and made his cock throb. He then had an idea, he wanted to test the limits of this little masochist in his grasp. He undid his tie on her wrists and then in a quick movement, he rolled her onto her back, and pushed her so her bottom and feet were on his desk. He took the straps from the chair and tied her wrists to the same side’s ankle leaving her pussy open and on display for him. He walked around to her head for a moment, taking in the beautiful tableau before him. Her breast still bare for him, nipples puffy and erect. He leaned down and whispered in her ear “I want to try something with you,” His voice was thick with desire. “None of my other students have seemed to enjoy their punishment as much as you have. I think we might both like this, but I need to know you trust me.”
Anita nodded her head, smirking behind the gag in her mouth. He leaned down and kissed her around the apparatus in her mouth. He trailed his mouth down her exposed skin, flicking his tongue on her sore nipples and he continued to her waiting center.
He fixed his belt in hand, and brought down the first stroke on her core. The young woman screamed behind the gag, she shuttered but left her legs open. He ran his hand up her thigh, “Do you want me to stop?”
She lifted her head off the table, eyebrows knitted together and violently shook her head no. “You want me to keep going?”
She nodded enthusiastically.
He brought the belt down again. Again she shuttered and cried out. A third stroke had her eyes rolling to the back of her head. A forth one had her back arching and legs trembling. A last well placed smack landed dead center and she was so close to heaven.
He watched as she trembled and writhed on his desk. He leaned his head down between her thighs and kissed the bruised flower. She gasped and her hands searched for his as he pulled to to the edge of the desk and buried his face in her lust. On his knees he ravished her sacred garden. Kissing, nibbling, sucking on her most delicate anatomy, he brought her to the edge of immense pleasure and watched as she rode the wave as it crashed around her. He wiped his face off on her thigh, leaving a lingering kiss near her knee. “I want to fuck this pretty pussy of yours, Anita. I want to fuck you like that weak little boy who knocked you up and left you to fend for yourself never could. I want to show you want a man can do for you, will you have me?”
After a moment’s hesitation, Anita again nodded enthusiastically. With that he unleashed himself from the pants he was wearing. He ripped his shirt off and his clothes fell down to the floor with a light plop. The principal rubbed himself against her opening, getting himself slick with her pleasure. In a slow, smooth movement, he entered her. Her back arched again and a sexy, deep moan of pleasure came out. He began to pound himself her red and raw flesh.
“You like this, don’t you? My little pain slut. You are so fucking sexy. You like being used, your cunt is so tight on my cock.” The principal rasped as laid claim to the woman’s body. He started rubbing her clit with his large thumb, “Do you got another one in you, baby? Think you can cum on my cock?”
Before Anita could answer, the office door swung open. Mr Walker entered the room, “Hank, you wanted to see me?”
He stopped dead in his tracks seeing the young woman being impaled on the desk with Principal Cavill thrusting into her. The interruption was just what she needed to make her see stars again. Her eye’s rolled back in her head as she screamed again behind the gag in her mouth. “Now’s not a good time, Walker. Oh, you fucking slut, cum on my dick.”
Walker chuckled to himself and left the room exclaiming, “I fucking love this job.”
The principal’s eyes never left his captive, feeling her body convulse on him, made him join her in absolute pleasure. He emptied himself into her willing body.
He rubbed the inner part of her thigh as she twitched and moaned for him. She was wrecked. He watched as the cum pooled on his desk after he had removed himself from her. He took the silk tie and cleaned himself off with it, then proceeded to untie his victim. Kissing her one more time around the gag, he unleashed her. He pointed at the mess they had made with a quite, “Do you mind cleaning that up?”
Without a word, she got up off the desk, walked over to the edge then seductively bent over and licked up every drop that had spilled from her. She moaned like it was the sweetest nectar she had ever tasted. She was going to make an excellent plaything for her remaining time at the school.
Reaching into his desk, he pulled out the balm he used when he got too heavy handed for some of the girls. He then ever so gently rubbed the salve on her welted bottom and sex. He might be strict, but never cruel. He paid special attention to her little bruised flower. She sucked in air and ground herself against his hand. Without being asked she moved her hands behind her back, allowing him to look at her body unobstructed.
“As long as you are here, as long as you are mine, this little honey pot belongs to me. Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes Principal Cavill.”
“You are no longer allowed to cum without my permission. You will not fuck without my permission. You will open yourself to whoever I tell you to. You will be one of my prized bitches, and I will breed you however and to whoever I see fit. Do you understand?”
“Yes, Principal Cavill.” She bit her lip, and he felt her body get warm on his fingers. He pulled his hand out from her cum dripping core and he put them in front of her face. Her green eyes never left his blues as she sucked their fluids off of his thick digits.
“Someone tried training you before, didn’t they?” He asked, she nodded as she kept sucking. It wasn’t until his fingers were cleaned that he allowed her to redress. He looked at her lovely neck and thought how much better it would look with collar on. He wondered about the depths of her depravity and how hard she would work for his pleasure. He almost wished he could let her lay on the dog bed he kept under his desk for Kal, so she could tenderly kiss and and stroke  his cock when he wanted.
Principal Cavill instructed young Anita that when she got to her room, she would need to take a bath. And that tomorrow she would be expected to visit him again in the morning so he could make sure to tend to her welts. He handed her the milk she pumped earlier and left her with some final instructions.
“Oh, And I will have Mr Solo to send you up some vanilla ice cream tonight. I expect you to be able to hand express yourself tomorrow into my morning cup of coffee. Maybe if you are a good girl tonight and don’t sneak out again, I’ll let you sit on my cock while you do it. If yo are really good girl, I might even let you cum. However, if you are a bad girl, I’ll make Mr Walker watch as I thrash your bottom again while you are bent over my desk and you will have to tell him what a pain slut you are. Understood?”
Anita smirked mischievously. “Yes, Principal Cavill. Thank you, Principal Cavill.”

Fic summary 2021
happy new year yall!! (*´∇`*) it's been a little over a year since i started this blog, and oh boy what a journey it's been. before starting this blog, i was on a hiatus from writing since 2017 ish when i left my previous fandom, and i never expected to write again?? but finding a new fandom has changed that and well, here we are!!
thank you for supporting this little blog of mine whether you sent an ask or left a comment, aggressively reblogged 30 times in a row with memes attached, or said you wanted to punch me in the face (affectionately... i hope LMAO). thank you to my besties for putting up with my hyunjae enemy agenda, my regular anons for still being here, those that stop by, and anyone who has read something of mine and had it linger in their minds even for the briefest moment 🥺
aight 2021 fic summary up ahead, where i answer questions like fave fic written, most fun to write, hottest moment, and fave lines haha. keep reading if ur interested i guess!!
Tumblr media
Total word count written: 151,269 (........i've never hit such a high number before)
Total word count published: 105,135
Fandoms written: tbz!! (and a tiny bit of nct if that counts)
1. Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or what you predicted?
WAY. MORE. just look at that count!! i checked my old blog and i've averaged about 70k words written per year there, with ~40k published. i really didn't expect to be so immersed in fic again!! to be able to catch up to my pre-hiatus skill level, surpass it, and then write this many words after a four year hiatus... i'm pretty amazed. so yes way more than i expected
2. What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?
i think last january i didn't even know i would write for tbz HAHA. this was supposed to be a jaehyun blog (as you can tell by the url LMAO) and i only had jaehyun works at the time!!
3. What’s your own favourite story of the year?
hmm it's in between my big four: if the lipstick matches, you look hideous on me, heartbreak for hire, this is how we fall. i'll probably have to read them again to pick a fave but bc of recency bias and all... i'll go with this is how we fall.
4. Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
tried writing sm*t, but it's not published so does that count? also bloom for you was a bit of a challenge bc i've never written a hanahaki au before nor have i read many of them, and writing a happy ending for it was kind of difficult bc how does one resolve THAT? think it worked out in the end though :')
5. Do you have any fanfic goals for the new year?
hmm i'd say it would be to write for myself? something i recently realized was how draining writing was becoming, and that was bc i focused so much on meticulously planning them that it was no longer enjoyable to write. so yes we're gonna go back to writing self indulgent fantasies only in the new year HAHA
Tumblr media
From my past year of writing, what was…
My best story of this year:
this is how we fall. i know i hated it while writing it but i think it turned out quite nice, especially the way everything falls into place by the end of it. there are themes of fate and destiny weaved into it, and a nice balance of humour, character development, and heart fluttering feels. and well, i heard it made some people believe in love again hahaha
My most popular story of this year:
you look hideous on me, for sure. by a landslide. call me a one hit wonder 🥴 haha jk but i definitely underestimated how much people would like bad boy sunwoo. oh and they were soulmates :'))
Most fun story to write:
if the lipstick matches!! i definitely enjoyed writing this the most bc it was SOOOO self indulgent. literally me projecting my own organic chem lab experience... including the near-kiss in the lab with goggles on (pls don't try that yall!!) and the scene with hyunjae at the party hehe. i loved writing kyeobmuda as y/n's besties, and their dynamics were honestly so much fun. and of course, it was my first ever tbz fic 🥺
Story with the single sexiest moment:
that hyunjae e2l drabble 👀 is 👀 quite 👀 hot. the rest of it sitting in my wips is much hotter though HAHA. OH WAIT there's that scene at the end of you look hideous on me. yes that one.
Most “holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you” story:
ALDKJFKJ THAT'S GOTTA BE TAKE A HINT I'M SORRY. i hate the fic. i have nothing to say about it.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
heartbreak for hire maybe? it was my first time writing younghoon in a long fic and the first time i caught feels for him ok. now he's made his way to the top three on my bias list :')
Hardest story to write:
TAKE A HINT SMH but also this is how we fall. these two tripped me up so bad with the plot points, but in different ways. take a hint was too simple, being an f2l that i didn't really know what to do with. this is how we fall was.... WAY too complex that i had to cut out plot points and it took me a long time to figure out how to do that.
Biggest surprise:
that you look hideous on me would turn out to be as popular as it is???? or that i'd write a hyunjae angst that broke people.... or that i'd have anything to do with hyunjae at all 🤡🤡🤡
Most unintentionally telling story:
hmm i guess i always end up weaving personal beliefs and ideologies into my fics in a way? this is how we fall, heartbreak for hire, and more than tomorrow have some lines i plucked out of my fave quotes or posts.
Tumblr media
Favourite opening lines:
i don't particularly like any of my opening lines tbh but here you go
[the regular dilemma]
hyunjae as comedic relief as always
“Social media is a disease, Y/N,” Hyunjae says, trying to grab your phone out of your hands. “Tell me, have you ever seen anything good being posted online? They just feed you brain-rotting posts that will reduce your IQ a little each time.”
[not cute]
i got called out for always starting with dialogue, which is true only about half the time though
“So is he the one?” Eric whispers excitedly, tilting his head over at where Juyeon stood behind the counter. The barista seems to be busying himself with something, and you could only hope that nothing your two loud friends say today would reach his ears. “The cute barista who apparently likes your goat face—”
[bad at being bad]
chan i'm so sorry but ur hilarious in this fic
“He’s so good looking,” a voice says, pulling you out of your thoughts. “Like, so good looking.”
Favourite closing lines:
[this is how we fall]
hands down my all time favourite closing lines. they tie up all loose ends of the fic and close it so nicely AND could also be up to interpretation. also i get shivers every time an author weaves the title into the story so that's kind of what i did here.
Now you don't have to look into his future to know that all the scenes you'd seen were about you. Now you can picture it—Sunwoo looking up from your laced hands on the table and seeing your smile, face no longer out of focus. Pulling away from your kiss in the orchard has you seeing your own gaze, surprised but content. And then there's this very moment when you see yourself in Sunwoo's eyes and you just know.
This is how you fall in love.
Favourite lines from anywhere:
[you look hideous on me]
this one was too funny ok
The most you give him is your name, so that he might stop calling you by the S-word that you’ve come to hate so much. Though now you’re not so sure if the S-word is soulmate, Sunwoo, or skater boy.
[more than tomorrow]
i might cry again
And this time, you understand him. It wasn’t more than yesterday and less than tomorrow like he’d always said. Love in itself is something greater than all of the tomorrows that had been promised to you, and all of the tomorrows that had been robbed from him. Because even when tomorrow comes and the tomorrow after that, it will still silently sit on your shoulders and slip out with each tear and rest between the pages of a book left incomplete too soon.
[sangyeon wip]
lot of nice lines in this one but yknow i might never finish it or post it so just throwing it here i guess. posted something else from this au for a wip wednesday once upon a time tho
But sometimes love is the warmth of sunlight on your face, streaming through the windows of a place you call home. Sometimes it smiles at you fondly in the mornings and sometimes it takes you by the hand to guide you gently to the barstool in the kitchen. Sometimes love simply looks at you like you are exactly where you belong.
Scenes from anywhere you would have choose to have illustrated:
the first slow dancing scene from this is how we fall or the rooftop scene (fake stargazing!!!) from you look hideous on me!!
New year’s resolutions:
should probably be writing less and exercising more tbh HAHAHA. but uhh i guess i'll try to get back to writing self indulgent stuff!!
Tumblr media
Word Count Totals
Total finished, posted fic: 105,135
i think it's actually ~111,200 if you count the things on my mlist but some of the things i posted this year were written in previous years so i didn't count those
Longest posted fic:  this is how we fall - 16.9k
Longest wip: my 15.5k sangyeon wip that still isn't close to being done HAHA. maybe in 2022 :')

hello! for the number ask thingy can i request 28 + doppo and maybe like a pining coworker on a business trip together ? 😳
Kannonzaka Doppo:
Doppo hated work trips.
The only saving grace to this business trip he was being forced on was the fact you, a relatively new hire who he got along with surprisingly well, would be attending alongside him. There were a few other annoying co-workers that were tagging along but Doppo didn’t really care about them, he was all too focused on not making himself not look like a fool in front of you. Upon hearing that Doppo would be attending said trip with you Hifumi had started to give him tips on how to impress you, assuring that his roommate took only his best-looking suits and wishing him good luck as he saw him off at the door. Doppo wondered when Hifumi became his mother but he didn’t have longer to think about it as you came into view, waving at him as you both stepped onto the train that’d take you to your destination together.
The conversation is pleasant and light-hearted, you were the type that had no problem talking even when he faltered, and he appreciated that you put in the effort to try with him. He doesn’t know if anything would come from it, what you would possibly see in someone like him, but talking to you during his lunch break was such a welcome occurrence he found that he didn’t care. He was just happy knowing someone shared his feelings of frustration over how the boss treated him and that they were willing to listen to his near endless list of complaints. He, of course, listened to anything and everything you wanted to tell him, taking some interest in your life though you seemed to be a workaholic just like he was (against your will, just like him).
“Wow, they actually paid for us to stay somewhere nice this time,” You looked up at the tall hotel in front of you with an amused smile, looking to Doppo for confirmation that it was, indeed, far nicer than any place your work had chosen to put you up before, “This could be a nice chance to relax. There’s a place we passed on the way here that we should go to dinner later… Oh, only if you want to! Sorry, I didn’t mean to get ahead of myself.”
All Doppo generally did between the many meetings he was about to suffer through was sleep but he was more than willing to give that up if it meant having dinner with you. In fact, his heart is already fluttering in his chest at the fact you even wanted to spend time with him outside of work hours. He tries to keep his cool but he finds himself wanting to excitedly text Hifumi about the development, stopping short as he realized he sounded like a lovesick fool and he had to keep it together. It didn’t mean that much, just two friends having dinner together, so he shouldn’t get ahead of himself. He should be worried about not appearing completely boring to you so you’d actually want to continue spending time with him.
The first bump in the road hits when you go to check into your rooms.
Or more like room.
“You’re telling me this is the only room they had left?!”
“We’re sorry, sir, we’re quite busy around these parts so we’re almost always booked.” The hotel worker didn’t seem very apologetic, more tired than anything, something Doppo could identify with. “If there’s an issue I would suggest speaking with your boss.”
Doppo would rather die than interact with that man more than he had to.
“We’re okay!” You offered up, grabbing onto Doppo’s arm, “We’re fine with sharing the room. Thank you for your help.”
The walk to the room felt too uncomfortably silent for Doppo to emotionally deal with, wondering what your true thoughts might be about being stuck with him all weekend. He’s so busy thinking about you and your potential discomfort that he doesn’t immediately notice the next issue that’s presented, which is the fact the room had only one bed. He can feel a meltdown coming on as you tried desperately to keep your face neutral at the situation, turning to Doppo and giving him a strained smile as you set your things down.
“I’m sorry you had to be stuck in a room with someone like me. I’m sure there’s someone else you’d prefer being stuck with...”
“To be fair, I trust you way more than any of those other jerks we work with.” You patted his shoulder as you sat on the bed, eyes lighting up at how soft and comfortable it was, “We can just make the best of the situation, yeah? We can start with dinner tonight~ I’ll look up the menu to make sure there’s stuff we both eat there.”
Doppo looked at you like you’d just told him he’d won the lottery, mouth falling open and proper words failing to come to him. Could a man actually get this lucky? There was no way he hadn’t slammed his head into a railing or something on the train and he was simply dreaming up this entire scenario as a very worried you fanned his face, desperately trying to get him to wake up so the other passengers wouldn’t step on him. He stayed in that spot in the doorway for another minute or so before he heard the sound of fellow coworkers coming down the hallway, shutting the door before they get a good view of you lounging on the bed scrolling through your phone.
“Here, here! Do you like this? Or maybe this! I know your roommate makes this for you a lot since you always have it for lunch the next day too…”
This was actually happening, wasn’t it? Did he have a right to feel this happy? To imagine what it might be like to do this with you but in the comfort of his own home rather than a hotel room…
He doesn’t know, but he wasn’t about to look a gift horse in the mouth, not when it meant spending more time with you.

PARADISE
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader
Summary: The Avengers enjoy a hard-earned vacation.
Word Count: 3700-ish
Warnings: Fluff (None)
Tumblr media
Blistering heat. Skin sticky from several layers of coconut-scented sunblock with built-in self-tanner, causing a dewy glow to set upon your bronzed, heated skin. A bright pink cocktail stood beside the tanning bed you were laying on, a slice of fresh lime and a tiny blue umbrella hanging off the side of the glass. Drops of condensation made their way down the length of the fishbowl shaped glass, collecting on the palm tree coaster it sat on. You sipped it every minute or so through a neon yellow plastic straw, allowing the icy drink to cool you down while the alcohol warmed the back of your throat as it went down.
You turned the page of your romance novel, green doe eyes covered by large black sunglasses following along the words written on the tattered paper. A glance up from your book to the pool area in front of you revealed toned bodies in brightly colored swimming trunks and skimpy bikinis sprawled everywhere. Natasha sat beside you on Wanda's sunbed. She'd braided her hair and was busy putting flowers in it. Fake daisies by the looks of it, made of cloth with little plastic stems. You smiled and took another sip, savoring the sour taste and slushy texture and took a mental note to order the same thing over dinner later. Then, you turned back to your book.
Steve loved summer. Perhaps it was the stark contrast provided by the sun's rays to the ice he was trapped in for so long or the scent of nature in bloom all around him that sparked his admiration for the season. He wasn't sure. All he knew is that he enjoyed the blistering heat and the breeze carrying the scent of fresh flowers across the resort.
His skin had become wrinkly from spending hours on end in the pool with the guys, but he was finally starting to win the game of volleyball against Sam and Thor, and Captain America did not like to lose. He'd tried to convince Tony and Bruce to join them but they were sitting in the shade, stacks of paper and two laptops covering the sunbeds around them. You smiled and shook your head at them, but didn't comment on their constant need to work, even though it was Tony's idea to take everyone away for a two-week paid trip to paradise in the first place. Maybe he just really loved showing off his money. You didn't care, because you were sipping on your fourth free cocktail.
Your eyes drifted back to the water glistening beneath the rays of the sun, to Steve, who was laughing so hard at something Peter said his hand went to his chest.
Steve felt your eyes on him as soon as you lowered your sunglasses to the bridge of your nose so you could watch him lose the game. He held his hand up to the guys, motioning for them to continue without him. Peter begged him to stay, knowing he could never win the game by himself, but Steve already waded to the edge of the pool. Instead of using the metal stairs, he gripped the edge of the pool and lifted himself out in a fluid motion. Water dripped from his torso and out of his shorts, leaving a trail of it on the marble tiles as he closed in on you.
He softly took a hold of your calves, lifting your legs and placing them into his lap so he could sit down on the sunbed. You placed your book on your chest, marveling at drops of water that ran down his milky white torso. That boy did not tan.
"Tired?" You teased, eyes drifting to Thor smashing the ball across the water.
"I can go all day, remember?" He replied, a soft smile playing on his lips.
"Sore loser then," you retorted, "nothing wrong with admitting defeat."
"'S not in my genes, I'm afraid," he paused, "so, what' cha reading?"
Even after the sun had set behind the palm trees, the heat remained. The air was still heavy and humid by the time you woke up from your pre-dinner nap and the second you stepped out of your shower, your skin was sticky again. You'd already given up on washing your hair. It would just get greasy again.
It was nearly nine when all of you met up at the restaurant. Overlooking the beach, you had a perfect view of the waves that crashed upon the shore from your seat at the table. You ordered the same ridiculous cocktail and were sipping it quietly, listening to your teammates conversating. Shadows of the palm trees waving gently in the breeze cascaded across the candlelit tables, hypnotizing you for a moment.
Tony's laugh broke your trance and you smiled, not really having listened to the joke. He stood up, scraping his chair back across the cobblestone. His glass of white wine swirled when he rose and he used a fork to tap the side of his glass. Silence immediately fell over the table.
"A toast, to the most annoying yet best teammates a guy like me, could ever ask for," he grinned, "the only reason why I'm saying this is because I've been day-drinking. They make hella Pina Coladas here."
"We know," Natasha said, grinning widely, "we love you too, Tony."
Waiters circled around the tables that had been pushed together to accommodate all of you, plates filled with various kinds of gourmet dishes balancing on their arms and in their hands. You raised your glass, smiling while everyone else did the same.
You looked at Steve, who had taken a seat beside you. He'd traded his swim shorts for a pale blue button-up shirt of which he'd rolled up the sleeves. A shark-tooth necklace, courtesy of one of the salesmen down at the beach who just wouldn’t leave him alone, hung around his neck. It was perfectly visible through the undone buttons on his chest. His hair was fluffy and soft from being in the water all day. You could tell he hadn't tried to style it with gel.
You almost hated yourself for watching him, even from the corner of your eye. It was a habit that had crept into your system over the course of four months. A habit that resembled an addiction to drugs. It was just fun at first, but your constant need to have your eyes on Steve had turned into a necessity, into a way of life.
The two of you had always hit it off. He was the first person to introduce you to the rest of the team when you were initially hired and he had taken it upon himself to show you the ropes and guide your training after that. He made you feel comfortable in an environment filled with strong, confident people during a time in which you felt like a small fish in a big pond. He watched your back on missions and took you to the city on days off - although admittedly, he mostly brought you along for his own selfish reasons.
He forced you to take him to places like McDonald's and KFC, not because the food - although advertised as such - was finger-licking good, but because he'd missed out on the experience of greasy fast food when he was growing up in the previous century. He forced you to take him to BestBuy, not because he was in the market for a new smart-fridge, but because he needed you to explain the appliances that had been invented after he went into the ice without judging him for his continuous stream of questions. It wasn't until your throat was sore from all the talking that he would take you to a coffee shop so you could sit down and enjoy a hot beverage. Not Starbucks though. Way too crowded and the drinks were too complicated. What the hell was a Frappuccino, anyway?
It was during those days where you began to glance at him. Peaks, out of the corners of your eye when he was trying to figure out whether to order a Quarterpounder or a Big-Mac. Admiration for adjusting so quickly in a world so far away from his own, for accepting it. Glances turned into zoned-out stares that focused on his features until he'd wave his hand in front of your face and ask you what planet you were on. Your cheeks would heat up every time, a sight he loved - but would never admit - and you would stammer and make up a stupid excuse about being tired.
You hated the feeling of butterflies fluttering around in your stomach whenever he would brush his arm against yours during the movie nights, or when his knees would hit yours as you sat opposite each other in the coffee shop. You hated the lopsided smiles he gave you when he thought you weren't looking and hated how close he would stand to you in the kitchen when you were making breakfast, shirt off and sweatpants riding low on his perfectly sculpted hips.
You hated how you'd begun to develop a crush on Steve Rogers. It just crept up on you, silent and deadly like a black viper. It had wiggled its way into your heart and settled there, causing it to hammer skip every time you were near him. You wanted to punch yourself for acting like a lovesick puppy because you were sure it was a one-sided thing and yet even as you laid in bed at night with thoughts racing and images of Steve flashing before closed lids, you couldn't turn your fucking brain off long enough to think clearly.
You and Steve were friends. Not just friends, either, but best friends. You spent so much time together it made Tony gag. Natasha couldn't stop obsessing over the two of you, constantly trying to prove that you were secretly dating. Even Bruce caught wind of the closeness of your supposedly platonic relationship and when he caught the two of you in the common room late one night doubled over in hysterical laughter, piles of blankets and fluffy pillows surrounding you on the couch you were sitting on, even he was convinced there was more going on than you were letting on.
As you were sitting on a tropical island, surrounded by the people that you cared for the most, a part of you wished there was. How nice it would be to experience a vacation at a fancy resort in the tropics with a romantic partner. You snorted, picking up your knife and fork while shaking your head. There was nothing going on between you and Steve and as far as he was concerned, there never would be. You were friends, after all, best friends at that, and there was no way that Steve could be interested in you in any other way. He was so perfect in every way and you were just, ordinary. Plain, a Big-Mac without toppings.
Dessert came before you even realized what was going on. You were buzzed at this point from all the cocktails you'd consumed and instead decided to order a glass of ice water to accompany the chocolate lava cake you had ordered. You only ate half, stomach feeling like it was going to burst at any point if you ate any more. Steve, being the gentleman he was, took the fact that you placed your spoon down as a sign and finished it for you.
"Y/N?"
You hadn't heard him coming.
He was standing behind you suddenly, shirt unbuttoned further than before and hair blowing in the wind that had started to pick up. Of course, it had been Tony's idea to host a private party after dinner in the club that was attached to the resort. Employees of SHIELD and the Avengers were dancing inside, booze flowing just as smoothly as the music. You'd stepped outside for only a moment in desperate need for some fresh air and time to think.
It was still warm outside, the soft breeze feeling wonderful on your slightly reddened skin.
"Hey," you said, elbows leaning on the railing that separated the resort from its private beach, "what are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same question," he said smartly, offering you a sip of his sprite, "This is a nice place."
"It's beautiful," you mused, watching the gentle waves and the pearly white sands ahead.
"Yeah," Steve mumbled, "it is."
Seeing you in a white triangle bikini was the single most amazing thing Steve had ever seen. It had taken all his strength not to rip you from the beach and into your bungalow where he could kiss you and have you all to himself at last. The salty water had transformed your hair into waves, and the sun had kissed your skin and made you glow. You were on a towel on your stomach, book in front of you and sunglasses hiding your eyes. A bottle of sunscreen poked out of the tote bag you brought and a bottle of water stood perched up into the sand. It had to be warm by now, but you didn't care.
He loved seeing how much you enjoyed this. How naturally you adjusted to the change of pace, how you blended in with the scenery as if you'd always been there. He got to see a side of you he'd never seen before when you were in New York, where the rain seemed to permanently hang over the city. He loved how you interacted with people you were so used to seeing only at work,  but this also made him jealous. He was used to being one of the only people you would hang out with in private but now, you'd practically been glued to everyone but him. How badly he wanted to take you out for a stroll on the beach alone or enjoy a cocktail with you with no-one else watching. Hell, he'd even dance for you at that club with the music he could hardly call music if it meant he got to spend more time with you alone.
He was playing volleyball again, on the beach this time. Half of your party had gone out on scooters for an island excursion, but not you. You had decided that your book was more important, and so you were reading the final chapter with the sun cascading on your back. He'd tried to get you to join him earlier, but once again, you'd declined. Not now, when you were so close to finishing the book. The main character was about to confess her love for the man she'd been chasing for years. She had finally built up the courage to tell him how she really felt. Her words caused your stomach to clench and your heart to pound. You had to know how it would end.
But even the most experienced of readers required a break every once in a while. You were hot, extremely hot and in desperate need of something to cool you off. Alas, the water you'd brought had warmed up, offering no relief from the constant heat blazing down on you. You got up, placing the book into your bag so it wouldn't get covered in the sand and stretched your limbs.
You looked around the beach for a while, noticing it was a lot quieter with half the staff gone for the day and exhaled, allowing a deep breath to escape your lungs while you began to jog across the hot sand.
"When are you going to tell her you're in love with her?" Tony asked with a smug smirk on his face and the ball in his hands.
Steve swallowed, catching the ball with ease.
"You're supposed to hit it back, not catch it and stand there like a dead guy," Tony commented, "Anyway, you dig her and for some reason, you're too afraid to just man up and tell her. Why?"
"Because," Steve said, "we're just friends."
"Yeah, no shit Sherlock. Look, nothing's ever gonna change unless you act and you're an idiot if you think she doesn't feel the same way. Plus, I made a bet with Tash, so you better step up your game and get to it. Like, right now."
"Tony, I can't do that."
"Give me one good reason. Go on, I'm waiting." Another cocky smirk.
"We're coworkers."
Tony rolled his eyes, "Oh please, Fury doesn't give a shit and neither do I. Sign a couple of forms if you have to. Listen, pal if you don't make a move soon, someone else is bound to come in and sweep her off her feet and you'll be sorry forever."
Steve thought for a moment, watching as you walked further away from him and cursed Tony for being right. Again.
"She's the only one who can tolerate your shit, Rogers. Don't let her get away so easily."
Your feet were just touching the water when a hand around your upper arm stopped you from walking into the ocean. You'd ventured out to a more quiet area of the beach, where the only sound audible was the crashing of waves and seagulls over your head. You could still see your towel from where you stood, but the details had become blurry. Perfect.
"Hey,"  you said, voice sounding startled after you'd turned to look at whoever was holding you.
"I don't know why I allowed Tony of all people to convince me to do this, but I wouldn't be here if what he said to me didn't have a truth to it so I suppose it was for the best." Steve stammered, hands now on your shoulders as if to shield them from the sun.
"What are you talking about?" You asked, confused.
"Do you like me?" He asked, cheeks reddening more and more with each passing second. You couldn't tell through the darkness of your sunglasses, but he didn't know that.
"Of course I do Steve, you're my best-" He cut you off, testosterone and adrenaline taking over now.
"Not like that. Listen, you make me happy. Like, happy, happy. I don't mean the kind of happy that I get when I run into Sam at the gym and he has a fresh smoothie and a bagel for me, or when we successfully complete a mission and return home safely. It's not the kind of happy I get when I drink my favorite coffee, or when I see a dog at the park."
"What are you saying?" You whispered, eyes hidden by tinted glasses sliding across his face for any sign of fuckery.
There was none. You're suddenly painfully aware of the water swishing against your legs, aware of the grains of sand beneath your feet and his touch, which burned hotter than any sun in the universe could ever do. It's like you'd taken a step inside the book you were just reading.
"You make me feel things I haven't felt before, but want to feel all the time. I crave you when you're not there. The brush of your fingers, the softness of your voice and your laugh, Y/N, I need to hear it all the time and hell, I don't want to even think about having to share it with anyone else because I can't stand to bear the thought." He realized he was being dramatic, but he didn't care.
It disgusted him how easy it had been for Tony to convince him to tell you, but he was right. Walking on eggshells around you was ridiculous and even though Steve realized that being this honest could ruin everything in a matter of seconds, he also knew that lying was a habit he hated and he had been lying to himself for far too long by pretending to accept your friendship as the endstage.
Your hand was on his chest before he knew what was happening. A small smile played on your rosy lips, yet there was hesitation hidden behind those sunglasses. Hesitation, because what if the only reason why he said those words to you was because of a stupid bet? You were almost convinced of it, but his blue orbs told you the truth far better than any of his words could ever do. He was searching for confirmation, waiting for you to tell him you felt the same. Hell, they were begging you to say something, anything just to get the anticipation out of the way. It was like a horror movie, where you knew a jump scare was coming but you didn't know when.
"I do like you,"  you said finally, "more than dogs at the park."
An amused expression on your face allowed him to finally breathe again. Bright blue eyes still intensely scanned your face, just to make sure you too were telling the truth. He wasn't a walking lie detector - unlike Natasha - but he could tell you were honest.
"I want to take you out," more adrenaline, "properly. Not a coffee shop date, but a real date. With flowers and dinner."
Your heart clenched, second hand finding his chest, "I would like that."
It was hard to stand on the tip of your toes while being in the sand. You sank a little, so it kind of defeated the purpose, but still, you did your best to gain some height on the tall man in front of you. His piercing blues traveled across your shoulders, followed a trail of glimmering sunshine along your body and you sighed, almost fearful you ended up with a heat stroke and were currently delusional. Or drunk. Or both.
But his lips, salty from the ocean water he took in when he went under a while ago and soft, felt very fucking real. You could hardly believe it because did dreams really come true, but hell yeah they did, because you were in one right now and you were not asleep. You were kissing, mouth on mouth and it didn't stop there, because your tongue soon slipped in - you blamed the alcohol you had earlier for your sudden boldness. Blamed him too, for overwhelming you with it.
You didn't even care about the fact that Tony and some level 6 SHIELD employees were watching you guys make out on a private beach. Didn't give a damn about the fact that Tony picked up his phone to call Natasha about how she now owed him $200, or how your sunscreen was starting to wear off and your skin would soon turn red. You finally had Steve right where you wanted him, really had him now, and you didn't plan on letting go anytime soon.

、firefighter!stray kids
the youngest firefighter of the county
followed after his dad and older brother’s footsteps - he and his brother are in the same squadron; his dad is retired
the team’s dalmatian named otis is actually the family dog and likes him the most
he isn’t the best or worst at cooking, but his food is always praised because everyone thinks his effort is so cute
seven out of ten times they go on a call and after they save people and stop the actual fires, people from the surrounding area tend to crowd at the barrier to get a good look at him
he is part of the team that always gets hired for birthday parties and is the one that kids always cling to
always wraps his arms around the kids when he helps them spray water from the hose
you had actually met him because of this
you were new to the town, so you decided you should go out and walk your dog to take a look around the town
the next thing you know, a stream of water comes flying over the red firetruck parked in the driveway of the station and blasts you on the sidewalk
his head whips up when he hears little shouts from the other side of the truck
oh my gosh, i just sprayed someone with the hose
gently - but quickly - taking the hose from the birthday girl, he immediately turns off and drops the hose to run and check on what had happened
there, he finds you, drenched from head to toe, checking on the young husky at your side who had also gotten slightly wet from the hose - the pup had seemed happy instead of startled of the spray
oh my gosh, that someone is extremely adorable
you tell him you’re okay when he asks, gently grabbing you by the forearms to help you up
“oh my, i’m so sorry.”
something about the way the man in front of you gazes down into your eyes has you charmed, and you can’t help but nervously laugh when you object his offer to bring you into the station for a change of clothes
however, he insists, and before you know it, you’re sitting in the office in front of a heater with a towel wrapped around your shoulders
the heat contrasting from the cold water feels nice against your skin, and you snuggle further into it
you watch as he runs back outside to finish the party, heart melting when his legs are immediately attacked by the hugs of several toddlers
you’re still thinking about the way he picked up and spun around the birthday girl before putting her on his shoulders for the group picture when he walks back into the office with a big smile on his face
“how are you doing?”
you chuckle, wrapping the towel even tighter around yourself as he leans hinself on the doorframe of the office
he looks....undeniably attractive - with his casual uniform on, a gray tshirt tucked into navy cargo pants and black boots - and the way he gazes down at you makes you feel a little small
his wavy hair - though he told you he’d been at the station for 24 hours already - remains perfect, looking soft and fluffy despite the fact that he may not have showered for a while
“still cold, but i’m okay, really.”
“here.”
from behind his back, he pulls out a pair of sweatpants and a crewneck sweater
“they’re mine, but you can borrow them for now.”
your hands stop in midair, mouth hanging open as you think about whether or not you should take them from him
“i-i can’t, these are for you to change into. you’ve been here for almost a day already, right?”
he only pushes them towards you more
“i insist. besides, it was kinda my fault.”
your skin turns pink when you realize that you’ll be fulfilling a fanfic-like scene if you take the change of clothes from a man you just met
but you’re also very uncomfortable and cold so you find yourself walking back out of the bathroom in warm clothes too big for you
you don’t miss how his face flushes red when he stands up from where near and your dogs are laying - handing you a plastic bag with your clothes
“i’ll walk you out.”
with a shy smile on his face, you and your dog follow him out of the station - him even walking you all the way out to the corner of the block
when you get home, a small piece of paper flutters to the floor when you take the clothes out to do your laundry
“let me know when we can meet so i can get my clothes back! maybe we can walk the pups together too? (xxx) xxx-xxxx
for the next week and a half, you and him start to text each other constantly throughout the day
the squad doesn’t fail to notice the little grin that shows up on his face whenever he’s looking at his phone
don’t even mention the one time you sent him a lame - but cute cause it’s you - dad joke about a fire hydrant
the paramedics swore they heard him giggle
him - the totally manly, serious dreamboat with a perfect swoosh in his hair that the ladies always fell for - giggled
no one said anything because god knows what would happen if they did?
last time someone teased him about attracting all the ladies, he got so embarrassed that he blushed, squealed, and laughed so loudly as he stuffed his face into the back of his brother’s jacket
the afternoon you decide to swing by the firehouse, you shoot him a quick text that you’ll be dropping by to bring his clothes back
the only thing that the rest of the squad sees his a blur as their youngest firefighter sprints by to tidy himself up from the call they had just gotten back from
but not before accidentally leaving his phone on the counter for the rest of the company to see your ‘great! i’ll see you in ten minutes!’ text
as he walks back into the “living room” of the headquarters, everyone watches him from their places at the couches or tables, smirking at the fact that the usual sixteen minutes it took him to shower and change into his casual uniform was reduced to four minutes
“what?”
he can only turn a darker shade of red as his fellow company members start whooping and cheering, even patting him on the back and hooking their arm around his neck
congratulating and teasing him for possibly having his first s/o since high school (the boy was too dedicated for his career to date)
loud laughter only escapes his mouth as he tries to wave them off so he can prepare himself for seeing you again
he doesn’t even have another five minutes before bear starts barking happily at the entrance of the building, signaling that their receptionist let you in
everyone’s head whips around to you and your dog, who nearly jumps at the sudden attention, but you regain your composure to give the whole group a small smile and bow
“hi, is — here?”
you can’t see him from where he is being tackled by his brother and some of the other men in his company
one woman shoves through the huddle to pull the boy in question out and pushes him towards you before trying to usher the squadron back to their original seats
he ends up stumbling before you before he regains his balance to take the neatly folded pile of clothes you borrowed from him
the way his hair is fixed messily hits your heart along with how adorable he looks no matter how ‘serious’ he’s supposed to look in his uniform
"hey.”
“hi. thanks for letting me borrow them.”
he insists that there’s no need to thank him - he was the one who attacked you with the hose
“listen, i’ve been - ”
someone snickers from the couch, but you miss the glare that he sends them as you pull something out of your bag
“i was wondering - ”
you motion for him to go first with an awkward, breathy laugh as you hand stops rummaging through your backpack, but as the gentleman he is, he insists that you go first
“i’ve been having so much fun talking to you lately. i don’t know if i’m the only one who feels something between us, but would a date sometime tonight be too much to ask for to figure things out? i brought a peace offering.”
you only give him a smile before pulling out a hand-made dog-toy you put together for bear
“he'd be happy to!”
“go now! we can handle it if anything comes up.”
“his shift is over anyway.”
he looks at you after watching the company decide for him, a developing grin on his lips
“i run into burning buildings, run from explosions, jump into bodies of water, and climb up trees for my job every day, but none of that adrenaline beats the exhilaration i feel when i’m talking to you. i’d love to.”
Tumblr media

Jungkook Scenario| He falls for you, one of the other boys’ body guards
Tumblr media
Idk why I just love the idea of matchmaker Jimin so much this is my second reaction this week where he trying to get you and another member together 😅
Tumblr media
You had been Jimin’s body guard for a while now, almost a year. You went out with all of them to their dinners, rehearsals, and practice times. You helped Jimin with his shopping, and did everything to make sure he was safe. Jungkook had really admired that about you. How even in the beginning before you even knew Jimin you just seemed so fond of him and were more than ready to square up with anyone who tried to get near him that you deemed as a threat. However the way you were when you were working and the way you were just around the boys was like you were a completely different person. And Jungkook couldn’t help but absolutely love every side of you.
He admired how protective you were, but how sweet and shy you were around them when you weren’t out in public. In the company building, you were reserved, but sweet and kind and always treated them like they were your best friends. In public you were extremely intimidating, scary even. And Jungkook found himself on more than one occasion purposefully going to the gym to work out at the same time you were in an attempt to impress you, only to be the one left with his jaw hitting the floor when he saw how strong you actually were.
He made the mistake of asking to wrestle with you once, getting a little cocky and thinking he could take you when he saw how shy and sweet you were. He was on his back staring up at the ceiling before he could even process what was happening.
And you weren't stupid. You could see how at first Jungkook was crushing on you but that it had developed into something more along the way. Where he used to look away if you caught him staring, he now held your gaze until you got shy and looked away first. He would barely let you within 10 feet of him at the start, and now was hugging you before and after you left each day. You were starting to develop feelings for him too, but couldn’t do anything about it. You were sure the company would have a few words to say about it if you two did start seeing each other. So you kept him at a distance. Only letting him in just enough to where he wouldn’t get his feelings hurt, but never letting him take things farther than a quick hug hello and goodbye.
However you clearly had a pretty poor lapse in your judgment when Jimin had called you, asking you to come to the apartment because he was having a get together with the other members and their guards. When you arrive you are surprised to see Jungkook and Jimin are the only two there.
“Jimin? Where is everyone else?”
“Ah, well you see the members were too tired so they turned in early.” You eye him suspiciously.
“You said the other guards were coming too?”
“They cancelled! Oh hey look at that the food is ready.” Jimin runs off into the kitchen although you know damn well no oven timer had went off. Jungkook is standing there awkwardly, suddenly his shyness coming back out. You blush when you see him looking at you out of the corner of your eye.
“H-hey Jungkook.”
“Hi y/n. Um, listen I didn’t-”
“Alright you two come and eat!” You notice Jimin is sprawled out on one of the couches, taking note that he is happily eating his takeout and didn’t cook anything at all. Now you know for sure he’s lied about at least 1 thing tonight. The only other couch is the loveseat that just so happens to be big enough for the two of you to sit together. The moment your legs brush up against one another you jump away feeling a sudden heat spread throughout your body.
“Sorry.”
“No it’s fine Jungkook.” You both are refusing to look at one another, feeling way to shy and Jimin groans.
“Okay am I literally going to have to force you two together?”
“What are you talking about?”
“You’re both squished against opposite ends of the couch uncomfortably when you could be sitting in the cozy middle close together.” Jungkook looks at you and notices you still won't meet his gaze so he moves a little closer to you. Suddenly Jimin’s phone rings.
“Ah sorry I gotta take this.” He walks into the bedroom and now you two are left alone on the couch. You open your mouth to ask what is going on when Jungkook begins rushing through his words.
“I’m really sorry y/n I had no part in this I swear. Jimin told me the same thing that all these people were going to be here and now he left and it’s just the two of us and I know I am making things even more awkward and I’m just.. sorry.”
“It’s okay Kookie. It wasn’t your fault. I just want to know what Jimin is planning with all of this.”
“Um.. well-” Jimin’s yell from the bedroom catches you both off guard.
“If you two aren’t kissing by the time I’m done talking to Taetae I am going to have a fit so get to confessing Jeon!”
“I’m going to kill him.” Jungkook moves to get off the couch but you grab him and tug him back down. His eyes widen when he remembers just how strong you actually are.
“What is he talking about?”
“Jimin told me after I got here and noticed no one else was here. He’s playing some kind of match maker trying to get us together.”
“And why is he doing that?”
“B-because. I don’t know he’s weird.”
“I think you do know why Kook. You just aren’t telling me, hmm?” He knows you’re teasing him, and that surely you must now know his feelings. But he’s completely pliant at this point and would do anything you asked him to.
“I like you.”
“Just like me?”
“What the hell y/n you’re usually so shy and cute where is this dominant side of you coming from?!” You throw your head back as you laugh.
“I’m sorry I just couldn’t resist. Do you have feelings for me Jungkook?” He nods. “Stronger ones than just liking me?” He nods again, refusing to meet your gaze. You place your finger under his chin and move him so he’s looking in your eyes once more. “You know I feel the same way right?” He shakes his head. You give him a quick peck on his cheek before letting him go.
“You know we can’t do anything about this though, don’t you? The company would never allow that.”
“Actually they got rid of the dating rule in my contract when we signed on again.”
“That doesn’t mean they will approve of this.”
“It doesn’t matter if they approve. They can’t do anything about it.”
“Jungkook.. I don’t know. What if they retaliate and fire me instead?”
“Then I’ll just hire you back as my own personal body guard and you won’t work for the company. You’ll work for me.”
“Why do I feel like you would enjoy that a little too much?” He smirks and looks away from you. “You really like me that much?” You ask in a small voice, suddenly feeling a little insecure.
“I do.. I love you actually. There’s just something about you that drives me crazy but in a good way. I’ve known you for a year and have wanted to be with you for a while but I thought there was no chance for us until they took away the dating ban. Now I just want to try things and see how they go. We don’t have to commit to anything right now.. Just let me take you out on a few dates? Show you how you deserve to be treated?” His words make blutterflies flutter in your stomach.
“Okay. We can give this a try then. Although I’ve already fallen pretty hard for you too so there isn’t going to be much trying involved.” Jungkook smiles so widely you swear his cheeks are going to fall off. He leans in and kisses you, sweetly on the lips. You don’t even notice when the bedroom door opens and Jimin sees the two of you.
“Another match making success. I’m on a roll lately.”

Put It All on Me
Covert Love Chapter
It’s finally for some case developments. Get ready for some intense moments in the future!
Also Read on: FF.net or AO3
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Ginny bit her bottom lip, her grip tightening on the piece of parchment. She’d thought it was over. These fucking notes!
  The words ran across the page in a basic black print, like that out of a textbook.
  My Ginny,
  You and I have never been closer, yet further apart. I see the way you watch him
  Potter
  He isn't good enough for you. No one is. Someone like you doesn’t belong on this Earth. And if I must I shall be the one to liberate you. Your beauty is too much for mere mortals and don’t let him fool you for a moment. He deserves nothing from you.
  Speaking of beauty, I love those flowers you placed in the sitting room window. Though they won’t be getting enough sun with that tree hovering over it.
  They were never signed. Nothing to identify who sent her these notes . They always had the same tone: Ginny was too incredible and no one deserved her. But never before had it mentioned a name other than hers. Ginny squinted at the smudged ink around Harry’s name.
  “Hey.” The man in question leaned against the locker beside her. “You still want to try that muggle diner? It looked --” Ginny looked up to a confused Harry. “What’s that?”
  For a second, Ginny considered hiding the parchment behind her back and claiming it was just a fan letter. But the look in Harry’s eyes made her want to tell him. Made her want to confide in him.
  “It’s -- uh -- so I’ve been getting these kinda threatening notes.” She spoke softly, leaning closer so Harry could hear her. And also maybe because the scent of his soap was drawing her in… Nope, not the time, girl !
  Harry’s brow furrowed, his lips twisting into a scowl. “Threatening notes?”
  “Yeah.” Ginny tried for a cheeky smile but knew it fell short. “I mean some people could find it flattering, but --”
 “Ginny.” Harry’s tone was sharp. “What do you mean by threatening?”
  “I -- I don’t really know how to explain it.” Ginny felt heat crawling up from her neck to her ears. “I guess you could say that whoever is writing the notes is obsessed with me.”
  The corners of Harry’s lips turned up in a cynical grin. “I’d assumed that but what has been said in the notes?”
  Taking a deep breath, Ginny handed over the parchment. Harry’s eyes moved rapidly as he read the words. The once bright green became darker as he read. A pink tinge came to his cheeks as his mouth moved wordlessly with each passage. Finally, he lowered the parchment, a sharpness in his eyes Ginny had never seen. “Do you have any idea who wrote this?”
  Ginny shook her head miserably. “No, but that’s the third letter I’ve received.”
  There was a beat of three before Harry handed her back the note. “So who have you told? Captain? The aurors?”
  “Just you and Bill.”
  “Just me and Bill,” Harry repeated in a deadpan.
  Ginny gave him a sheepish half-smile. “Professional quidditch players get stuff like this all the time. One time, Holt received a pair of knickers by owl. They were these lacy things that couldn’t even cover --”
  Harry held up a hand, effectively cutting Ginny’s rambling. His tone was patient. “Ginny, this isn’t a pair of knickers. This is clearly a threat.”
  Sudden fury coursed through Ginny. Her finger came jutted out to poke him hard in the chest. “You don’t think I know that this isn’t just getting a pair of knickers!” In the back of her mind, Ginny knew she wasn’t frustrated with Harry… well, he was the reason for her sexual frustration , but that was neither here nor there. “You don’t need to be so condescending. Merlin, Potter, I’m not stupid!”
  Harry didn’t flinch at her rant. His body stayed stoically still, but his eyes… the way he was looking at her made Ginny pause as she pulled back for a third poke. It wasn’t annoyance, which would have been fair, but rather something Ginny couldn’t place. Whatever it was made Ginny feel as if he was taking in every part of her. Like he couldn’t see the lockers or smell the stereotypical locker room scents, but every part of his being was focused on her with an intensity that made her stomach flip and her breath hitch.
  “I know you’re not stupid.” Harry’s voice was low and deep. “But, Ginny, it’s clear someone has it out for you. I can’t handle if you were --” He cleared his throat, a deep flush crawling up his cheeks. “I mean, I just want you to be safe.”
  All of her unrighteous anger drained out her body as if someone had opened up a dam. “I know, Harry. Thank you.” She let her arm fall to her side. “I’m sorry for poking you.”
  Harry’s eyes never left hers. “It’s fine. I’ll classify it under rookie hazing.” Before Ginny knew what had happened, Harry had grabbed the hand she’d used as a weapon, brought it to his lips, and kissed the digit with a sweetness that made her heart flutter. “I promise, nothing will happen to you. We’ll figure out what’s going on.”
  Ginny’s heart beat faster, like a snitch trying to escape capture. The way he held her hand as if it were something precious to him, and that fact that he’d said we . Most men, including her own brother, had wanted to hide her away. Bill had said he’d figure things out. But Harry… he wasn’t making her be some damsel. No, we meant they would work together and stop whoever was tormenting her. That alone meant more than she could say.   “I - Thank you.”
  Nodding, Harry pressed his soft lips to her knuckle once more before releasing her hand. “Do you still have the other notes?”
  “I do. At my flat.”
  “Well then, how about we order some takeaway and head to your place. I want to read what else this guy has to say.”
  XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
  “So basically this bloke doesn’t think I should be allowed near others.” Ginny drummed her fingers on the side of her tea mug, rereading the words that had been stuck in the back of her mind for over a month. “Not because I don’t play nice with them, but because they aren’t good enough for me.”
  “Yeah.” Harry leaned forward on the sofa cushion as he looked between the two of the letters that sat side by side on the coffee table. "It seems like they idolize you."
  Ginny exaggeratedly flipped her hair. "Who doesn't."
  Harry snorted but didn't recognize her quip any other way. "They idolize you and don't wanna share. And the fact that they mention the flowers on your window means they know where you live. Isn't your place unplottable?"
  "Yeah, Bill set it up for me.”
  "And Bill is no slouch when it comes to things like that. Not with a job like his."
  Ginny let out a small laugh. "Yeah they don't let just anyone become a curse breaker, now do they?"
  "I sure hope not." Harry twisted in his seat so he was looking at her. His glasses were adorably askew as the corner of his lips ticked up in a matching grin. "I imagine the goblins do some thorough tests before shoving someone into a boobytrapped crypt.”
  “Well now,” Ginny tapped her chin in mock consideration. “I wouldn’t go that far. Goblins aren’t world-renowned for caring about what happens to humans. However, if a human needs to live so they can get their gold?” She shrugged. “Better hire the best.”
  “Which is your brother.”
  Ginny winked at the man beside her. “Us Weasleys are known to be the best at what we do.”
  “I don’t doubt that.” Harry’s voice became low and husky. Ginny noticed his eyes dropped to her lips. There was no more doubt in her mind anymore about the attraction between the two of them. After her dinner party the other night, Ginny had never been more certain about anything. Still, neither of them had made a move.
  To be fair, they had been on a crazy work schedule for the last two days. Morning workouts followed by all-day practices. Ginny barely had the energy to crawl into the shower before falling into bed the last few nights, forget making any moves with Harry. Today had been the perfect opportunity (seeing as they only had a three-hour practice). At least that was what Ginny had in mind before opening her locker to her newest correspondence.
  Before Ginny could follow her train of thought and lean towards him, Harry jerked back towards the coffee table. “So, my guess is that there is a desire motive here.”
  Ginny resisted the urge to sigh. Why was he still pulling back? Her eyes drifted towards the notes. The one closest to her was the one from today. The one that mentioned Harry… Was he pulling back because this nutter mentioned him?
  “Which works with the idolizing theory,” Harry continued to elaborate, pointing to certain passages. “In the first letter, there is a mention to how caring you are and the fact that no one deserves such kindness. When did you receive this one?”
  “I -” Ginny cleared her throat. She needed to focus on the task at hand. She would deal with Harry later. “I don’t know the exact day. Maybe a month and a half ago.”
  “Had you done anything special around that time?” Harry asked, his finger trailing across the dried ink.
  Ginny thought about it for a moment. “Actually - I had just done a charity event at my brothers’ shop.”
  That made Harry look back up at her. “What charity event?”
  “It was to support magical families who had been affected by lycanthropy. You’ve noticed the scars on Bill's face?"
  Harry nodded. "I didn't want to ask, but I was curious."
  "It's no secret. When out on a case Bill had been attacked by a werewolf." Ginny watched Harry's eyes go wide. "The weird thing about it was the werewolf wasn't transformed. So Bill isn’t a full werewolf, but it was an eye-opener for my family at how bad things were for others who had been bitten at the full moon."
  "Serious?" Harry's mouth formed into a sharp snarl, his teeth bared. She watched his hands clench into fists. "Why did that fucker attack Bill if he wasn’t turned?"
  Ginny was taken aback by the venom in Harry’s voice. Only someone who had personally dealt with a werewolf tended to speak with anger rather than fear. “He was a sadistic bastard who enjoyed hurting people. He’s dead now, taken out by some of Bill’s fellow curse breakers. She reached out, taking one of his fists in her palm. With her free hand, Ginny slowly uncurled Harry’s tight extremities. “Who do you know that’s a werewolf?”
  “I--” Harry pressed his mouth into a thin line. His eyes were downcast, focused on their joined hands. Ginny had loosened all his fingers and now began massaging his palm. “One of my godfathers was bitten as a child.”
  Neither of them spoke, rather Ginny just continued to massage small circles into his palm. She didn’t have the word strong enough to express all the emotions coursing through her. Harry tilted his chin so their eyes met. Affection… the word Ginny would use to describe the look in Harry’s eyes was overwhelming affection.
  Ginny couldn’t stand it any longer; the desire to kiss him was staggering. She leaned in. Just as she was able to count his eyelashes, a knock pounded on her door.
  “Hey!” Bill’s rough voice came muffled through the wood. “Ginny, let me in.”
  Harry was on his feet before Ginny had fully realized what had happened. “I’ll just let him in, shall I?” His voice was rough and when his back was to her, Ginny could see the pink tinge that had covered the tips of his ears. Ginny swore under her breath. Of course, her brother had to come and ruin the moment. Such a cock block .
  “Bill, it’s Harry.” Harry had pressed his ear to the wood. “I’m going to ask you a question. If you get it right, I’ll let you in.”
  Ginny couldn’t hear what Bill said in response, but Harry snorted before asking, “What was the first thing you ever said to me?”
  “Why the fuck --” Ginny started to question why Harry would ask Bill that, but before she could finish her sentence the door swung wide. Apparently, Bill hadn’t challenged Harry’s code.
  Ginny’s brother walked in, pulling his leather jacket off as he went. He smiled over at Ginny, who hadn’t moved from her spot on the sofa. “Hey, I like the new doorman. Good security is hard to find these days.”
  Harry gave her a sheepish grin. “Sirius always made me challenge a visitor with a question only they should know. It’s just a safety precaution he was serious about.”
  Ginny had to focus her attention away from Harry’s adorable face. She turned to her brother, hoping her if looks could kill glare would be enough for him to understand what she wanted.  “What are you doing here, Bill?”
  Bill put an affronted hand over his heart. “Can’t I just want to see my favorite sister?”
  “Sure you can. And now that you’ve seen me you can go back home to your pregnant wife, who I’m sure is missing you.”
  “Actually she’s visiting her friend, who is also pregnant.” Bill smiled smugly at her. “Fleur told me to come to see you. So, what have you two been up to?"
  Ginny loved all her brothers, even Percy (who seemed to have a permit stick up his ass). They were all good men who loved, cared for, and protected her and always seemed to know what she needed. Except at this moment, as Bill grinned at her, he was being a prat. He clearly knew what he had interrupted and he found it hilarious.
  “We were trying to figure out who was sending her letters.” Harry pointed to pieces of parchment still sitting on the coffee table. “Ginny got a new one today.”
  That wiped Bill’s egotistical smirk off his face. His entire posture shifted to replicate that of their mother when she scolded any of her children, including the hands-on-hips ensemble. “Why didn’t you firecall me?”
  “Well, as you pointed out,” Ginny drawled. “I already have my own security team here, so I figured I was safe for the moment. Harry isn’t just here to look pretty, though he’s doing a fine job with that too.” She winked at Harry who, bless his soul, blushed.
  “Er --” Harry swallowed hard. “I -- I just want to make sure Gin is safe.”
  Instead of focusing on the meaning behind Harry’s words, Bill seemed to lock on a certain part of the sentence. “Gin, huh? I didn’t realize you two were at the cute pet names stage.” Bill’s tone became venomous as he turned to glare at Harry.
  Harry blanched. “I -- what?”
  Ginny came off the sofa in order to smack her brother’s chest with the back of her hand. “Stop being such a prat.”
  Bill looked down at her. “I’m just performing my brotherly duties. You always hated that nickname when we were kids.”
  It was true; Ginny hadn’t always been fond of being called Gin . It just never seemed to fit her, but when Harry had said it… nothing had ever felt more right. “Well, you wouldn’t like it either if your brothers are calling you poor little Gin Gin because they were leaving you out of their pick-up game of quidditch.” She turned to Harry. “But I showed them in the end how good little Gin Gin was.”
  Harry’s lip curved into a wide grin, which was just what she’d wanted. She had wanted to remove that look of panic from his eyes.
  Bill rolled his eyes. “And you never let us forget it. Okay, so what have you discovered in the letter?”
  Ginny shrugged. “Just that they think I’m the best thing in the world.”
  “And that this world doesn’t deserve you so they will be the one to quote, liberate you, end quote.” Harry moved back towards the sectional but changed directions last moment to sit in the oversized armchair that sat beside the sofa. Ginny had to bite back her angry words to Bill again. She had been making so much progress until that tosser came over.
  “Liberate you?” Bill took the sofa seat that had once been Harry’s. “Since when has that been his focus?”
  “Since today, I guess.” Ginny handed him that day’s note.
  Bill read the words rapidly, his brow furrowing with each passing second. He looked up from the page. “They don’t like the two of you together, huh?”
  Ginny shrugged. “Don’t know why.”
  “Because they think they love you.” Harry’s voice was so quiet Ginny almost missed it. She spun to look at him. He held the first letter in his hands, his finger scrolling down the page.
  “What makes you think that?” Bill was looking at Harry too, his expression more intrigued than anything.
  “The phrasing.” Harry gestured between the notes. “They use words such as devotion, enchanting, and piety. All of which are strong ways to express love. This person thinks they love Ginny because she is too perfect. But now that I’ve noticed Ginny’s excellence, they’ve become jealous. They figure that Ginny is basically a deity and no one should be allowed to reach her level and be with her in any capacity.”
  Ginny’s mouth was hanging wide open and she had to make a conscious effort to close it. “Where the fuck did you learn all of that?”
  Harry flushed. “I - Uh - enjoy reading muggle detective books. They - erm - like to go into the minds of the suspect.”
  Ginny didn’t quite believe that was how that worked. Someone didn’t gain skills like that from a fiction novel, because if they did Ginny was bitter that her muggle romance obsession hadn’t assisted her. She was sure that Bill was going to be as skeptical as her, but he was nodding thoughtfully. “Yeah, I think you’re right, Potter. The question is how far is this person willing to go?”
  Harry's jaw tightened. "I don't know, and I'm not willing to find out."
  A shiver ran down Ginny’s spine. The conviction in his voice…
  Bill nodded. “I’m with you.” They turned to her simultaneously.
  “What?” Ginny looked between the two of them. “I don’t have any desire to find out!”
  “Okay so then it’s settled.” Bill clapped his hands together. “We will inform the proper authorities, but until they find this lunatic you’ll stick with either me or Harry. ”
  Ginny opened her mouth to protest, but Bill put up a silencing finger. “I know, you don’t need a babysitter, but you do need backup and who better than your brother and your -” He paused, looking over at Harry. “Your Harry.”
  She glared at her brother, feeling the heat rush to her cheeks, but she couldn’t argue with him. There was some nutter following her and she had no idea what they wanted. “I don’t like this.”
  Bill gave her a sarcastic smile. “You’re not supposed to.”
  Harry rubbed the back of his neck. “I won’t be all bad. We can watch some of those cheesy muggle films I’ve been telling you about.”
  Ginny’s heart fluttered in her chest. He was just too adorable. And if Bill hadn’t shown up she would be showing him just how adorable she found him. Her mind started playing out ideas of her and Harry alone in his flat… his telly playing nondescriptly in the background as their focus shifted to more personal exhibitions.
  Hoping her face didn’t reveal her intimate reverie she said, “Fine. I guess I don’t have much of a choice.”
  “Nope.” Bill popped the P as he clapped his hands. “Now that’s settled, I’m going to go tell Fleur that I’ll be spending the night here. Do you have a schedule for the week?”
  Ginny grimaced. “You're gonna sleep here as well? I thought this was just going to be when I was out.”
  “They know where you live, Gin - ny.” Harry stuttered the end of her name, his eyes flickering towards Bill. “Which is another thing. We need a list of people who have been to your place. There is no telling if they will try to attack you while you sleep, so it’s better to have someone here with you just in case.”
  “Will you be one of my night-time cohorts, or is that only Bill’s position?”
  Harry’s jaw dropped as pink spread across his cheeks. “I -uh - I mean - I can if that’s what you want.”
  Before Ginny could say please and thank you, Bill answered, his tone fierce when he spoke. “It will just be me.”
  Ginny gave her brother her infamous innocent look. “But Bill, what about when we have an away game? Like this week we have four nights in Spain for a tournament against Barcelona.”
  “Well, I mean -” Bill faltered, biting his lower lip. “You can share a double room with Ariel or Prue.”
  Or I can share a single room with Harry , Ginny smirked to herself. “Sure I can.”
  The relieved look on Bill’s face almost made her feel guilty for her devious thoughts. Almost . Bill rose from the sofa. “Okay, I’ll be back soon, unless you wanna come and spend the night at mine and Fleurs?”
  “Bill, why do you ask questions you already know the answer too?”
  Sighing, Bill pulled on his jacket. “Can’t blame a bloke for trying. He leaned over and kissed the top of Ginny’s head. “Thanks for being good about all this. I know it’s not easy.”
  Ginny gave him a conciliatory smile. “Someone once told me safety first and all that.”
  Harry snorted. “That’s right.”
  Bill looked between them, lingering an extra second on Harry as if to pass a silent secret message. Then he was waving, closing the door behind him.
  Ginny looked over at Harry. “I’m guessing you’re staying until Bill comes back.”
  The sheepish smile Harry gave her answered the question.
  “Well, then turn on the wireless. We should be able to catch the last few minutes of the Harpies destroying Puddlemere.”
  “Really?” One of Harry’s eyebrows quirked up. “You think the Harpies will beat Puddlemere’s defense? Wood has been nearly unstoppable this season.”
  Ginny waved off his vindication. “The Harpies chasers haven’t missed more than ten goals in the last five games. Wood will need a miracle to stop them.”
  Harry turned the knob on the wireless, making the tinny announcer’s voice come through the speakers, before sitting down beside her on the sectional. As his hand brushed against hers, Ginny couldn’t help but feel a sense of rightness . Even though her life was in danger by some crazed stalker, with Harry beside her, everything felt right and simple .
She let her head rest on Harry’s shoulder, taking in his intoxicating scent. Yup, this was right .
