part of an art trade with my buddy @girlnextvore! we took two halves of a pokemon duo and made gijinka of them. i took a crack at hitmonlee, the shyest kickboxing champion lesbian on earth.

Hello there... wanted to say I have been loving all of the content you have been making, and I am always happy to see new content from you ^^

You have been one of my big inspirations to make some new trainers to also tell stories about like you are doing with yours

But I have a question... I was looking back through your art on here, and then I followed you on Instagram to see more... and I see you know of an artist named Ishida... and he is an old favorite of mine from the old deviantart days, and I would follow his content for a long time, too... I was a big fan of the Pokemon OCT's that happened back then, and that got my wondering and wanting to ask... where you ever in any of those oct's... because I swear when I saw your artstyle something felt familiar about it

Hope this isn't a really weird ask... my curiosity just got the better of me...

Oh wow! Blast from the past!

Yes, Ishida is / was an old buddy of mine! We used to draw stuff with each other’s Trainers & Pokémon for a long time, back when I was on dA & went by WhiteWings, later Walphish (he still calls me Wingy, hehe)🪽

His Trainer was interesting guy - from Saffron City, preferred Fighting types, & had a bit of a rivalry with Sabrina. Adopted an adorable little girl with a Flareon & I think a Tyrogue. ‘Bit old-fashioned, too - really didn’t like gimmicks like Megas, probably wouldn’t have liked Dynamax or Terastralization either. I remember a comic where his Trainer would make a point to beat Megas without Mega-evolving any of his Pokémon.

All the other stuff our Poké Buddies got up to was largely pre-Gen 6 (like a fan region called Neo Island where Ansy was the Flying-type Gym Leader, later an Elite 4 - I contributed a LOT to the Fakemon Pokédex & sprite art, hehe), so I kind of consider it as an AU where Fairy types weren’t a thing, Ansy’s main partner was a Blastoise, & her Unovan adventure was based on White (since I played that first, thinking that was “the Reshiram one” lol XD).

That Ansy’s just still happily living in Unova with all her friends in a little house in White Forest. ^_^
