the game I've been working on for the last almost 2 years is finally launching its kickstarter campaign!
Me and 3 other guys (including Kasey Ozymy, creator of Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass... this is really his game more than mine, haha) have been pouring our souls out for this game, so it'd really mean a lot if you guys could consider offering any kind of support. That includes just telling your coworkers about this weird indie RPG you found on Tumblr. Maybe consider backing the project if you like Chrono Trigger inspired games?
Any amount of support is appreciated, we're gonna need all the help we can get to make this dream a reality! Kasey Ozymy made one of my favorite games of all time, so it's an unimaginably incredible experience being able to collaborate with him.
Thank you guys for hearing me out! Thank you to everyone who chooses to support us!
EDIT: apparently the link I put to the Kickstarter originally doesn't work. Hopefully this works now? CLICK HERE FOR KICKSTARTER.
Hymn to the Earless God has just over 3 days left on Kickstarter.
If you miss RPGs that let you get lost in strange, fantastic worlds, now is your chance to put your thumb on the scale.
-Full-length, unique RPG set on a brutal alien world!
-Chrono Trigger style level design!
-Paladin's Quest/Lennus style atmosphere that's been dialed up to 10!
-Fun, intricate turn-based combat!
-Huge world to explore!
-Sprawling story about a society of insect people who don't understand the concept of empathy written by the guy who made Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass!
I understand that "from the creator of Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass" isn't much of a testimonial if you aren't familiar with Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass, but if you're into weird indie RPGs that are just bleak as hell, you need to check this one out.
Hey, I haven't posted much on tumblr in a while, but I wanted to share this. I've been working on this game for the past several years--basically started planning a couple months after Jimmy released. Since this is certainly not a post about Jimmy, I need to probably make a new tumblr page--it's on my list--but, until then, I had to share!
The big thing is that it's on Kickstarter now, so please take the time to check that out: hey, it's a kickstarter link!
Another thing that you could do if you want to help: wishlist and play the demo on Steam!
If you don't have Steam, you can still try the demo out on itch.io!
This is a huge game and will take a lot of art to finish. Basically all of the money for the Kickstarter that isn't going to Kickstarter or fangamer or Uncle Sam will be going to the artists. So, any kind of contribution would be really, really appreciated. But, if you don't have the money to contribute right now, that's totally fine. You can still help the game a lot by wishlisting it on Steam or just by spreading the news. The more eyes we have on this project, the more likely we'll get Kickstarter backers, and this can really snowball.
Thanks so much for the support, everyone, and here's to a hopefully successful Kickstarter!
