most holidays have two celebrations -- the regular, private one, and the date-field celebration (which usually occurs the next day). both parties are equally baffled by now nice it feels to have, like...a real, loving family. mizuki's birthday also set off a tradition of surprising each other with birthday celebrations (even date)

mizuki is on the very short list of people light has cried in front of (the others being his parents and clover) -- he cries when she loses her eye. he likes to pretend he never did, though.

mizuki and light are each other's go-to's on the days where everything is too much. on light's end, he knows that mizuki understands, and it's nice to know he doesn't have to burden clover with his baggage all the time. (or ever. he kinda has a thing about not doing that, in fact.) they don't need words to understand -- sometimes they'll just see each other, know its One Of Those Days, and sit in silence together. what they do otherwise is irrelevant -- what matters is the being together, and knowing that they dont have to pretend to be okay.

light often plays songs on his harp for mizuki before introducing them to the public. just about everything he plays at the cafe has the mizuki stamp of approval

Been thinking about how Donnie and Leo’s insecurities juxtapose each other.

Donnie is insecure about his place in the family, but confident in who he is outside of it.

Leo is secure about being a part of the family, but thinks he’s nothing outside of it.

I think it’s a very interesting comparison that reflects their respective personalities, Donnie’s “Will all I have to offer be enough?” versus Leo’s “Do I even have anything else to offer?”

lilia knows spicy spices from his travel.

even tho in dragon form, malleus breathes fire from his mouth, and fire is hot, it might be like the kind of fire that doesn't hurt him in the first place

sebek father might bring spicy spice from human world with him, but since i think of him as a mellow man, he might not be interested in spicy food in the first place

i love it when bad is very specifically a good roleplayer by giving other people good prompts. like casually bringing up wilbur now to tallulah. or when he put missa in the petting zoo. or all those times he Tormented the Lesbians so they could protect each other from him. its just so !!!! I love watching roleplayers be considerate of other roleplayers and gleefully hand over something they Know the other person's character can react to. i've seen cellbit do it, too (that time he handed his knife to bbh. oh my god). it's not a rare thing, and it's possible to be a good roleplayer without keeping that sort of considerate back and forth in mind, but its one of my favourite things to notice. foolish does it too, sometimes- i haven't watched him much, but i did take note of when he Made Sure to bring jaiden along with him on a cucurucho quest. and basically every interaction he had with bad when the eggs were missing. its just so so good

my parents, enraged that I didn’t sort a massive mound of clothes yesterday (after doing the other chores they asked), essentially decided they are going to start charging me rent.

So this is just in preparation for that moment when they do start asking. I’m still trying to save up to move out. It’s not a huge deal yet (idk how much they’re going to charge) so there’s no pressure to donate.

I work a full time job so I can’t really give much in return. But I can take doodle requests upon proof of donation! I’ll doodle any DCA you want.
