Ngl monster hunter wilds is one of the most frustrating UIs and command entry systems I've used. I mean, I GET that it's a long established series so people are familiar with the setup, but it is genuinely a mark of shit setup if there is no real tutorial on how to use the system if you have no prev mh experience :/

Radial menu heal commands are just gaslighting at this point. 3 - 5 attempts to get the input to actually register mid-battle.....caca ass layout 🙃

Since there is more Kamen Rider on youtube now, if you stream it to your pals (especially to your non US and Canada friends who are sadly region blocked) over discord to group watch and find that they only see a black screen you can fix it by turning off "use hardware acceleration when available" in your browser settings (at least for Mozilla and Chrome)

im bracing myself for it but I'm gonna be so sad if any of the IT's VAs get recast for p4r.

like I need Erin Fitzgerald as Chie. and Yuri Lowenthal as Yosuke. and Johnny Yong Bosch as Yu and Adachi. and so on.

I understand why SEES got a whole new cast. There was controversy, and a couple of members had already been recast a few times anyway, so a fresh cast made sense.

I feel like the ITs voices are too. iconic? at this point though? and I'm fairly certain all of them are still very active in voice acting too. so I'd hope that at least some of them would be able to come back.

What gives me hope is that Tara Platt got to come back as Elizabeth. and now that he's not voicing Makoto and Ryoji, Yuri's Yosuke will sound more distinct.

I know it's been over 15 years, and that some of them are very likely going to be recast, but I'd still prefer and love for the cast to get the chance to come back if they'd like to :3

Unpopular opinion: AO3 needs to disable making collections of any kind private/hidden.

This would stop people from hoarding fics they like.

It will also stop (and I've seen this multiple times) people from collecting all the fics they deem wrong and inappropriate and hiding them from the rest of the site.

At the very least, it needs to be done with the author's permission only, not the author opting out, because inactive authors are getting screwed in both cases.

Staring at the tag like... And I'm not meaning to be rude, but you can turn off effects on your profile settings...? You don't need to use ublock or disable specific things. Unless it's only specific effects they want turned off then it's like yeah Staff always drop the ball on things that should have more than 1 toggle, but they do have one.

Edit: So the toggle doesn't really work how it should, so it's another thing Staff dropped the ball on and will probably dig their heels in over just like the captcha hmm....

I don't know who needs to hear this but please please please please please explore the settings. Of your phone, computer, of every app you use. Investigate the UI, toggle some things around and see what happens. You won't break anything irreperably without a confirmation box asking you if you really mean to do that thing. And you can just look up what a setting will do before touching it if you're really worried ok?

Worst case scenario you just have to change the settings back if you don't like what happened but it is so so so important to explore the tools available to you and gain a better understanding for how the stuff you use works.

Even if you already know. Even if you're comfortable with how you use it now. You don't just have to accept whtever experience has been handed to you by default and it's good for you to at least know what's available to you.

How to turn off AI Training of your content on Web and Mobile:

On a Web Browser:

I had some trouble finding this option. My first instinct was to click the settings button on the left, but that's where it is!

First, you'll click the name of your blog on the left sidebar to bring it up on your browser.

Then click "Blog settings" on the right sidebar once your blog is brought up. That's where they're hiding it.

Click "Prevent Third-Party Sharing" under the Visibility section, and bam! You're done.

On Mobile:

Thankfully it's much easier on mobile. Just click the Gear icon on your blog's page, to go to settings.

Scroll all the way down until you see Visibility, then toggle the Prevent third-party sharing option for your blog!!

If you disable this setting on mobile, it automatically synced it to my web browser settings, too. ...But if you use both Web and Mobile, I would still highly recommend double checking that it actually turned off on both!!

Check that it's turned off on your side blogs too! And check your settings every now and then anyway to ensure that it's staying turned off, because if my memory serves right, some other websites will pull some shenanigans on things like this and opt you back in without telling you!
