OK SO, WE GOT ZUKO SMILING!!!!! WE GOT PLOT, WE GOT WATER TRIBE CAMP WE GOT SOKKA TELLING THE TRUTH TO KATARA AND MAKING A STEP FORWARD (!!!!#!$+YESSSSSSSHSJAJAKKA!!!!!!2!!#). sreader your plot chapters are AMAZING like OMG UGHHSHD the characterization, the way you describe stuff, EVERYTHING!!!!! i do looove the angsty chapters but god this chapter felt good.

i wanted to remark how much I loved the Katara and sokka talk, it was soul healing, the characterization and dialogue were insane and i loved every bit of it. OH and talking about characterization, IROH OMG, you write him greatly, i love him and I can't understand why people hate him, yeah he's not the best but c'mon he's trying so hard!! i also want to know what's up with jet (as much as hate him but whatever) and a bit of suki. and Ara!!!!! i would love to see her make some friends and heal a bit 🙏🙏

Gonna have to give this to NaruHina (Naruto x Hinata - Naruto). It just doesn't work in my brain. Perhaps my ships from above will help elaborate as to why, since I clearly like both characters to be independent/strong-willed. I enjoy witty banter and... oh, I don't know... for them to be able to... have a conversation, maybe? Anyway I don't want to hate on any ship here but that's just MY OPINION.

Also Kataang (Katara x Aang - ATLA). They just give platonic friend vibes. Aang is 12. Idk about ya'll but when I was 14, I didn't have crushes on 12 year olds... Like I get they could grow to love each other as he got older, but I never liked how they got together LITERALLY when he was 12. Weird. Again, just my opinion plz don't hate me.

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

My two little emo babies Zuko and Draco have THE BEST character development, hands down, no questions asked. I love a good bad boy turned good thing. When Draco throws Harry the wand?! When Zuko finds Team Aang and teaches him fire bending?! My heart literally sings every time. I love those boys so fucking much.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending? 

Oh, yes. I am sure I have more but these are the two that instantly popped into my brain:

Shikamaru has a Daddy Kink. He loves it when you call him Daddy. He will deny it, of course, but every time you say it he wants to throw you against a wall and fuck your brains out. Shika is a Daddy, 100%.

Kakashi is an ass man. He loves to watch you bend over, he loves to grab onto it (especially in public!), he loves when you wear leggings, and he loooves to play with it in the bedroom. He enjoys all shapes and sizes of ass, he isn't picky, he just wants you to let him grab onto it as often as he wants.

i loooved her strength. Both as a person and as a bender she was so incredibly strong and perseverant. I thought that was really cool.

The fact that she started off as such a weak bender and then slowly but surely goes on to be one of the most skillful (water)benders in the show? Also, the fact that she always stood up and cared for her friends and family in such an unwavering way? Yeah, I looked up to that a lot.

In my young mind, that was the loml right there. Hands down one of my favourite characters in one of my all-time favourite shows

So apparently, “Aang died at the biological age of 66, most likely due to natural causes. He was stuck in an iceberg for an entire century, and in the Avatar State, which probably weakened his life energy, or, his spirit, causing him to die at such a young age”. This is not his official death cause since LoK just loooves to abandon and stay quiet about some actually interesting ideas of theirs. Anyway do you consider this theory canon? Does it sound reasonable to you? And if Aang had been stucked in that iceberg for, let’s say, several centuries while being in the avatar state, does this mean he would have died at an even earlier age? Like 20?

If that had happened, the fire Nation would have won the war. And Zuko never would have become a better person and… Toph never would have had the courage to tell her parents who she really is… ok actually I think Toph might have ran away from her parents since the former wouldn’t accept the way their daughter was and let her live the way she wanted to, not the way they wanted her to. Anyway, Katara and Sokka would have been captured and turned into slaves forever like Hama’s tribe without being able to protect their tribe, Azula and Zuko would have become mini versions of Ozai and Iroh before the letter’s son died. Phew, thank goodness Katara and Sokka found Aang when they did. If they hadn’t, there would have been one of the greatest tv shows ever

I call bullshit on the whole thing. At no point in the original show was there even a HINT that Aang’s health had deteriorated at all because of being in the ice-berg. No fucking way he died of natural causes. She writers just wanted to have some of the Gaang still around for Korra, but didn’t want to think of a minimally narrative coherent way for Aang to die. It’s just move evidence that the writting for Korra was terrible, lazy, and done assuming the audience was either too stupid or too fanatical to ever notice it was shit.

with zukka, it's so weird because i got into the fandom and left about half a year before the renaissance and. damn. it was so quiet before??? and barely anyone really liked sokka and most fics were focused on other characters. at the time i was like huh. weird. hes a similar trope to most popular characters so i would think hed be popular but nope! then atla got popular again and then yeah. he got popular along with zukka . (i feel like fanon mai rlly got the short stick. first with zutara and then zukka. pls some of the bashing ive seen,,,)

yeah....... the good ol days........... significantly better times....... and it is rly crazy how neglected sokka was by fans considering he is such an amazing character, but also i feel like most ppl who claim to love him don’t actually understand him?? then again, that’s true of like, most atla fans when it comes to pretty much every character, because none of the atla characters can actually be whittled down into easy tropes to categorize them into, which ppl w Terminal Fandom Brain looove to do! and the idea that sokka only became widely-appreciated as a “replacement” for katara to ship with zuko is just. awful. bc ppl rly do think they can’t be racist if it’s gay and acting like sokka would move to the fire nation and m*rry (oh god i cant even say it).... like. no. just. no. (conversely, i have also seen ppl say that zvkka is zvtara for ppl who hate women which is just lmfaooooooo WHAT. dkjhjhkjfnkjvkdj what a hilariously stupid take. that said, ppl do seem to think that katara & sokka are interchangeable, bc i’m convinced that 98% of atla fans have never actually watched the show. fml amirite.) and to your last point, and the one i perhaps feel strongest about, mai/zuko is a garbage ship, but people who act as if mai is the one to blame for this......baffle me. zuko clearly is the one who wronged her??? like, i also just think they’re incompatible romantically for a number of reasons, but if we’re talking about who was the asshole in that relationship it was clearly him. mai was too nice, if anything! and even outside of braindead shipping discourse, even ppl who do claim to love mai don’t understand her at all. no one understands mai, actually. yet another thing she and sokka have in common, i suppose.

I feel like showing tiktok to the Avatar gang is really BIG mistake 😂

The moment you show Aang, he immediately gets addicted. He becomes glued to your phone, already obsessed with tiktok, and you have to forcefully take it back from him

Of course, he gets really interested in the trends and decides to make his own

So he takes the opportunity to show off his airbending tricks and he becomes famous overnight (mainly because people have no idea HOW A PERSON IS BENDING AIR???). He loooves the attention. He might let it get to his head...

But poor Aang. You’re just as mischievous as he is, and you won’t pass up the chance to prank him for tiktok

He can’t count how many times you’ve scared him by grabbing his feet from under a bed or sneaking up behind him wearing Zuko’s blue spirit mask

(And that’s when you found out that Aang getting spooked sometimes triggers his Avatar state...oops)

You two also love to do some of the best friend challenges! It becomes a staple on your tiktok, and you even get some of the other members of the gang to join you as well

You and Toph team up a lot to pull some hilarious pranks on unsuspecting Aang. She actually ends up becoming even more famous than him, which then leads to a friendly rivalry of who can out-prank the other. It drives Katara and Sokka nuts

Just be careful; you never know when Aang will end up pranking you.He’s a master of mischief, and he has way more tricks up his sleeves than you can imagine

hey i looove your writing!! <3 if you dont have too many requests i had an idea-- i noticed that there was a missing scene in tsr, between aang's "lecture" where he tried to stop her from going and when he caught the going anyway (it switched from day to night)... mayhaps there was a converastion in between ? 👀

"What's for dinner?"

"I don't know what's for dinner." Katara bit her lip, attempting to stay calm--none of this was Toph's fault, and they all needed to eat. "We'll figure it out, though."

The sun was leaving the horizon, and the advent of the moon usually made her blood sing a little; today it didn't make much of a difference. She had been seething at the edges since the night prior, after Zuko had told her that he knew of her mother's killer.

She knew she was a good person, but she also knew that she was not Aang. And his words from earlier still reverberated through her mind--his phrasing, his insistence that she must forgive the man who tore her apart and made her an adult all too soon. She wanted to understand where Aang was coming from, but she simply couldn't.

Aang was good, and pacifist, but sometimes she forgot that he was just a child. He had suffered, but this was different. She did not think she could forgive the Fire Nation man whose eyes still burned in her mind.

"I'll help," someone whispered, and she turned to the side to see another Fire Nation man. Zuko rubbed his neck awkwardly, standing still for a moment as if to judge her reaction at his nearness. When she didn't move, he leaned down and picked up one of the bowls to her left.

Katara's gaze stayed stuck on him for several moments, more out of judgment than distrust, before she grabbed a pot and stalked to the center clearing, where he'd set up a fire. "Get out the rice," she mumbled.

Zuko complied, and they both assembled a small dinner together in silence. They didn't have meat tonight because Katara wanted to preserve their jerky and eat their varied salvaged produce from the Western Air Temple first. Sokka would complain, but she was too angry at him to care about that. When everything was set in and Zuko moved to keep the pot boiling, concentrating intently on the flames, she stepped back and simply stared at the back of his head.

Then he whispered lowly. "He's wrong, you know."

"Aang thinks he's doing what's best--"

"Not his opinion," Zuko followed up. "I can believe that's something he'd believe. But the way he acted as though he knew what was best for you--that's wrong."

She raised her voice as if to protest, but quieted when she realized that Zuko wasn't arguing against her like the younger children and even Sokka often did. He didn’t often undermine her. "Oh."

"I'm not going to betray you again, Katara."

She stayed quiet as he maintained the flames so that they stabilized and then stepped back. Sokka and Suki were likely in one of the tents, and Toph had taken Aang to the other side of this small island to practice bending. It was simply the two of them, and she was reminded terribly of the last time they had been like this, face to face.

Zuko read her face the moment she closed up, and he reached a hand out to her before letting it dangle awkwardly in midair. "I'm not," he continued. "I'm not turning my back on you. I will take you."

She didn't want to look at his face, so she faced the ground and stared at the steam rising from the pot. "You know why I can't trust you."

"I've been trying."

She couldn't deny that. "Yes," she said. "You have. You've changed."

"And?"

"And I still don't know if that's for better or worse," she lied to herself. "I'm really confused right now, Zuko."

"I'm sorry."

"You've hurt me."

"I'm sorry," he whispered, and his low tone sent a shiver down her spine. "I want to fix this."

He made her uncomfortable, and that didn't feel good--so she got up and moved back to their packs, leaving Zuko sitting there. They both stewed in the silence for minutes before Katara put a hand to her throat, where her mother's necklace rested.

"I think you can," she shuddered out. Zuko came up to her again, and she could see hope in his eyes, a belief which stirred her stomach in uncomfortable ways. "Tonight."

"Tonight?"

"Tonight," Katara repeated. "I'm starting to think you're more than a legacy, Zuko. Prove me wrong."

The cruel words bit at her lips, but she didn't want to dwell on them. She left him at the highland and went to go get Aang and Toph.

in season one I really love The Blue Spirit (so many amazing things, sick and delirious sokka, momo misunderstanding katara's requests, the Frogs, MIYUKI, zuko as the blue spirit and all his stealth honestly *chefs kiss*, just everything about aang and zuko's escape scene).

season two I have to say The Desert (it'll quench ya).

season three I'm gonna have to go with The Boiling Rock obviously, but I also absolutely LOVE The Beach (I'm a sucker for a vacation episode, ESPECIALLY when it's on the beach and it's surrounding the antagonists).

She's a good mother figure, she's sweet and caring, she really does care about what happens to people even strangers, she's passionate, and she's an awesome sister

She can be a little judgy at times, and sometimes like with the Painted Lady I think she goes out of her way to help them when she might need to be focusing on the bigger picture. Not saying it was bad! Just saying that maybe it wasn't the most practical thing to do

Favorite episode is probably the Runaway! I love her in that one

I'm 23 and have been a huge Avatar the Last Airbender fan since I was young. I love horror and gaming and reading. I am a huge romantic and one day I really want to be a mammy (Irish way of saying mother). I have chronic health stuff which sucks.
