the puppet scene in the giggle also just was so fun for me because i think that the toymaker - intentionally or not - was really digging into the doctor's worst fear. i think the doctor can feel very conflicted with their companions - knowing that they bring great amounts of trauma and tragedy to their lives, but trying to kind of move on in a way by saying that, well, they're still technically alive, or still technically okay. and the toymaker replying back to the doctors technicalities every time with "well that's alright then!" is just so delightful. is it alright, doctor? are you just running from all the pain you've caused? rationalizing it to let you live with it?

i’ve mentioned this before but i have a group of friends who i facetime & one of them just has the worst allergies. like she’ll often say she’s having an “allergy fit” or an “allergy attack” & she just sneezes & sneezes & sneezes. & they’re so cute & hot & i make sure to bless her because no one else does lol so i usually say “bless you, baby”, “bless you, darling”, “bless you, babe” etc (i call everyone & their mom pet names i promise im not trying to be weird about it, i just love using them) she just has the cutest sneezes & i have to sit there & freak out in silence & try to act normal & it’s a blessing & a curse
