Feel free to ignore everyone but I've just been looking at some of the things I made over the years and its so many things I gave up on lmao 😭😭 I see a bunch of things online, go and recreate them in MD/Blender and most of the time they either don't work in game or the textures look like shit 💀💀 so if anyone wants to see them, check down below 👇🏽👇🏽

Had to go in the whatsapp chat archives with my irl to find this BUT THIS WAS MY FIRST MESH from back in sept 2022 apparently? I was soooooooo proud of myself this took me literally like a week bc of the weights and then the textures and I used the fuck outta this top in my game, every sim of mine was wearing it 🙂‍↕️ lmao but i took a break from the sims in jan '23 bc of my internship and when I came back I was like "OMG this looks like SHIT???

I'll be honest I don't remember ever opening this in game 😭 but apparently this top was like 20k~ polys??? Crazy times

NGL i feel bad abt deleting the first top since i made it for a tiktok cc process vid and people asked me when i was planning on releasing and i was like yea soon 😊 then never did shjdbhjdbfds

THE SANDALS WERE MY FIRST EVER PAIR OF SHOES but the straps would disappear when i made the sims feet bigger 😭 but its fine now i (kinda) learned how to make (very simple) shoes now so maybe ill post some soon 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

The hat was cute but in cas my sims would get the question mark when i put it on them i don't know why?? and the bikini belt thing was just meh so i got rid of it

The first top was also my favorite for awhile but the weights were kinda weird, everything else also had the same problems and honestly im glad they did bc they were all ugly af, SUPER high poly and just looked like caca in game thank god i deleted them (there were more things i made in between this and the next pic im abt to show but i don't have any pics soooo)

This hello kitty necklaces I was so proud of and I made SO MANY SWATCHES (18!!!) but bc i always rush to finish everything before getting in game, when i finally checked them they looked real nice im ngl BUT the morphing was sooo bad on small beads😭😭 they looked even worse on the masc frames RIP

I don't have the ref I used for this anymore but it was a really cute bonnet, mine just looked like a crumbled piece of paper plus its from last year so I didn't know how to retopologize or how to sculpt in Blender

This was supposed to come out with one of the simblreen gifts but again I didn't like the morphs but I did use the base of the cross for my other cross necklaces so i guess not completely useless 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Still proud of the lighter but I don't know what I was going for 😪

The mp3 was so fun to make but the weights were kinda weird and I didn't know how to fix them 🙄 (I did ended up using the earphones for the folasade collection 👌🏽)

Both were supposed to come out in the denim set BUT the more I looked at the pants the less I liked them and the skirt I just felt like it didn't belong with the jeans I did release?? its a cute skirt but I haven't felt like releasing it so 🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏽‍♀️

I made this back when I wasn't mindful of where tops should stop/where the bottom part starts if u don't want any clipping to happen (looking at the heroine top since it also had the same issue but I realised wayyy too late so couldn't go back and fix it LMAO) still its a cute top and I feel like I could fix it in sculpt mode now??? idk

PINKPANTHERESS MY LOVE ♥♥♥ ( I made this around the time I started the follower set so I just kinda forgot abt it, maybe one day I'll go back n finish it)

I think this was the original idea I had for heroine top? I gave up on it bc I just knew the buttons were gonna morph horribly since they sit right on the chest (also i never realised how similar it was to the tiktok top lol)

Ok after this, all the pics are from stuff that was supposed to be on the follower set but this was the original mesh for the dee top and I had to remake it since I couldn't find tops with sleeves of that size to transfer weights from 😭😪 (if that makes sense)

THIS JUST DID NOT LOOK LIKE THE REF 💀💀💀 plus the 'flower' is soooooo bad 😭 sorry to whoever added this pic to the pinterest board I flopped so hard 😖

I just thought the quality of the textures was poor so I didn't even wanna put it up for download 💔 the jean quality I could definitely do better but the sheep patch/stitch(??idk) I couldn't find a clear high quality pic so yea 😪

i LOVED this one but kept having so many problems with it, first the dress was flying off the sim in cas, fixed that then the weights started acting up it was problem after problem lmao maybe one day ill sit down and take a look at it again

Cute skirt but the transparent/lace part would clip a lot

the pants would clip out of the skirt when sims walked and i was very confused since i obviously deleted parts of the jeans that aren't visible but that didn't work so idk

I also loved this headband but it was kinda hard to find a hair that would fit without clipping, if i ever find one I would definitely put it up for download 👆🏽👆🏽

It looks alright in sims4studio (i guess) but in game the textures were kinda blurry

CUTE but i forgot that buttons on the chest have shitty weights/uv's🤐

Thats all for now, I made so many other things but most of the time I just delete them bc i don't have the ability to make them work in game 😞plus I can't stand having files on my pc that im not using bc otherwise they r just taking up space 🤞🏽

This was an awesome first year of Artfight! Huge thanks to everyone who sent me their creations involving my powerswap scugs, I adore them all quite a lot! And thanks for all the wonderful comments and reactions to my attacks as well!

You guys were wonderful, and I hope I'll get to see you next year as well! :)

(Bonus ramblings about AF thoughts below cut. Be warned, they do be lengthy)

So when I was starting out with the site, I looked around on the internet to see what people had to say (out of curiosity, and to maybe find something helpful). And apparently, there are a bunch of entitled users that complain if the art you send them isn't "high quality" enough, or if you don't send a revenge for their attacks.

And I'm just sitting here, and wondering which Artfight did these people show up to, cus I've frankly never seen a person like that. Everyone was super sweet and appreciative when I attacked them, and I received zero scorn from attackers I didn't revenge. Perhaps it's something that happens only outside the Rain World community?

Anyhow, I ended this year with a solid 9/5, which might seem like rookie numbers for many, which... is actually kind of fair, considering that I am technically a rookie.

I really didn't expect to get attacked at all, considering that my refs were slightly rushed, and not particularly polished (something I'll hopefully get around to addressing in the meantime). Though I did have hopes that sharing my profile on Tumblr, and some Discord servers might help.

Funny thing is, I don't think any of those 5 people came from there, as they haven't interacted with me on Tumblr yet, and they haven't joined the servers that I was in. There's no way for me to confirm this, but they probably found me while browsing through the AF website itself, which is extremely flattering (especially since I initially thought that folks usually just attack their friends... turns out that ain't quite the case).

But this also proves that my theory about people liking powerswap Slugcats was actually correct! Which is great, cus they're a blast to create, and hopefully by next year, I'll get to have the other half of the cast (name ideas are 'Lightcat', 'The Crusader', 'The Solitary' 'The Augmented' and 'The Gambler', but it's all subject to change).

There were also some of my OCs which showed up in my attacks - I'm planning on adding them in, too. (So if you like necromancers, wizards that copy the spells of others, and weird fanchildren of niche ships, then I got some wonderful news for you!)

Speaking of my attacks, I definitely didn't draw nearly as much as I did for Art Month. That's because I decided it would be better to take things a bit slower, to have more fun, and avoid burnout. As I would rather send over a few attacks that I enjoyed, than to rapidly rush out like 60, to hit as many people as possible.

Sure, it'll mean that I won't get to attack as many people, but I still think it's worth it, as I get to enjoy myself more, while my target gets a better piece.

I was slightly concerned that a lot of people would find it insulting that I used a randomizer to pick targets, but nobody seemed to mind, which is great. After all, there were no bad intentions on my part, I just simply had too many people I considered worthy of being attacked, and I needed some outside help to combat my indecisiveness. There's simply too many great artists in this community!

My list consisted of SC members that stayed (I was grateful for their efforts to keep the place alive, and I felt this would be a great way to thank them), some other people from the fandom that I liked, and my attackers, who were given a multiplier of 5 to their chances, cus yeah xd

There were over 30 people there, so it's safe to say that I didn't get to most of them. I think next year, I'll give them increased chances too, and hopefully, I get around to most of 'em. (Unless I'll have to work on my thesis in July... I don't quite remember when that's going to happen. Hopefully, that won't be the case, and I'll have a bunch of free time, like this year, and I'll be able to do more than 9 attacks then. Fingers crossed)

So that's pretty much all I wanted to say here. I'm not sure if I should post any updates or uploads I do to my characters there btw. I suppose we'll see.

But the event was real fun, and I'm looking forward to experiencing it again!

soo there’s this person whose very existence has been bothering me for a long while

doubt anyone would find this (which is a good thing) but anyway for privacy reasons we’ll call her kaida, no offense to those who have that name of course

my childhood memory

kaida has been my classmate since kindergarten. i was sensitive and shy, and cried a lot so i doubt i had many friends which wasn’t much of an issue since i preferred being alone anyway, i didn’t quite stand up for myself at that time lmao. but for a 3 yo kid, kaida was a fucking cunt and a bully to those around of her (fun fact: i asked a younger student and apparently she stole candy from him?!?!?)

from what i remember, i avoided kaida as much as i could, though we were on the same school bus and she kept talking to her friend (forgot her name)

i don’t remember much about her since we didn’t interact much, but one of the most vivid memories were her telling me to sit with her and she gave me a piece of candy, but then we barely talked (this memory was so unforgettable to the point i remember what we talked about)

the other memory of her was her calling me an idiot, which is pretty vulgar in our language especially for 5 yos. i don’t remember how i reacted, but i’m pretty sure i looked away and probably was close to crying. i’m pretty sure i took whatever she said to heart

before substitute

this section is the present, or mainly things kaida did not too long ago

after years of not interacting, kaida got assigned to my class and boy was it a fucking disaster. the first week, i kept hoping ‘she probably changed!’ or ‘maybe she’s more mature now?’ turns out, that never happened. growth happened, but that didn’t make her nicer or more mature - it made her worse.

for the whole year, i’ve been struggling with mental health and kaida being in my class made it worse since we were stuck with basically the same people for the school year. (sucks to be in my country i guess LMAO)

the first semester kicked off pretty well, i socialized with people and met new friends. i was praying i could avoid kaida since she was already stirring up trouble occasionally for the first few months. a lot of us kinda agreed that no one liked kaida at all

it genuinely wasn’t so bad until i got assigned to her group for activity class, basically we get parted into groups of 4-5 people and went to different activity rooms and such. as i recalled, we had a debate class for our activity and she made me cry a lot

i know it sounds super lame, but i’m just really touchy and she made me feel so bad, like i was trying to ask the teacher to turn off the air con and she straight up made me feel like what i asked was unreasonable??

anyway, she kept doing all these yoga ass positions and it was pretty distracting and irritating tbh, i hated snitching but had to after a bit. kind of regretted sitting behind her and my group members and i had to find all these weird ways to avoid kaida in the next bunch of activity lessons.

substitute arrival

oh boy, here comes the substitute - where everything terrible happens. again for privacy reasons i’ll be calling her ms c and she was also a little asshole

kaida felt bitchy and kept dissing the teacher and told on us constantly, so each day ms c shouted at us during class, victimizing herself. genuinely none of us liked it, and kaida clearly hated her scolding sessions too. and yet she kept on telling and telling and doing the shittiest things too herself

it didn’t make much sense either but i’m just really sick of her, i’m so glad she’s not in my class anymore

Completed commission for @lurkerdelima of their druid boyfriend OCs, Aneirin and Rylan! I heard ‘Order of the Sunflower’ and went h o r d into the decorative motif lol. (Fun fact, last day of working on this I realized I was wearing a t-shirt with sunflowers as a repeating print on it. Image ref: EQUIPPED.)

Micron liner pens and Copic art markers on marker paper, 9 x 12 in.

I worked my bones off on all the little details for this one so I am including some close-ups under the cut and little details! Enjoy! ☺️

The daisy flowers in their hair is for midsummer: Aneirin keeps it simple while I gave Rylan a proper daisy-chain crown.

Robes were described as more typically darker colors, hooded, with long sleeves—but I really loved the summer/midsummer theme, so I gave them lighter outfits in accordance with the season. There are actually pants under there, too, and the sleeves are pushed back and bound with ribbon banding to stay higher on the arm, as otherwise they would be quite large and hang down to the wrist. My thought is, gotta keep that fabric under control when you’re out collecting flowers!

(I used sooo much tracing paper working out outfit layering and labored over how to convey the bunched fabric to such an extent, lol.)

The bunny you see above and the pendant necklace below are treasured childhood belongings of Aneirin and Rylan, respectively—at some point, they exchange these as gifts, and I found that too cute not to include, so they’re both showing off the other’s token.

I also poked around a lot to find nice little trim/embroidery details for each garment. I toyed with like fifteen border stitch designs before choosing the interlocking geometric one you see here; the full version would have this around the skirt of the underrobe as well. The green-and-gold trim for the open-front tunic vests is simpler, just sort of a three-pip design to mimic leaf or petal shapes. But I couldn’t resist going properly in on the sunflowers motif for the hanging waist wrap, clearly… had to get full and partial stylized sunflower designs in there, plus a series of leaf appliqués up the side and an array of sunflower seeds at the bottom! 😅 This is what happens when I am commissioned for druids whose order happens to feature my favorite flower.

Final sunflower details: Rylan is wearing a wicker horn-o’-plenty/cornucopia that is hung like a satchel via attached shoulder strap. In my head, he uses this to collect sunflower stems for midsummer celebrations. He’s tucked some daisies in there too because why not, and has Aneirin’s gifted bunny sitting atop the bunch as a helpful flower-gathering companion.

Aneirin is described as a little more reserved—but also a very Long and Slender boy, so for him instead I gave him a more elaborately decorated waist belt. The sunflower brooches here were a BITCH to try and detail with brush-tip markers, but I think in the end it’s a pretty good hit for the glazed enamel vibe I was going for! He’s got a beaded cord hanging over the waist wrap too (and a stitched-on stylized sun on the cinch) because I love unnecessary detail.

Anyway…

I had a lot of indulgence with this art overall, and hopefully it comes across well. Shout-out again to Lurker for commissioning me, and if you want to know more about Aneirin and Rylan as OCs, go follow @lurkerdelima ! 😄

Summary of May:

I don't know how this month went by so quickly. The last two weeks have just been brain static lol

Um… it looks like I spent most of the time trying to get myself to finish that bridal alt and then got stressed by other stuff happening which I have not gotten on top of or recovered from. Not a great month for studies, but I managed to get at least a little bit done and started catching back up with my Ges Draw Party videos, so… I'll take it

I am happy that I've been exercising more though! Even got one of my 'started walking in one direction and accidentally walked nine miles while exploring' days in, which is one of my all-time favourite things to do and which I really should do more of. Anything over 10k steps in one go is sooooooo good for my mental health. Also been having fun playing Ring Fit and running outside.

Plan from April:

heath: bad line quality (I thickened some of the lines in a really scribbly way), armour not correctly 3d, folds don't make sense, still not sure of structure of torso

b/odhi: bad values makes it hard to look at (too much contrast), figure not conforming to perspective in places, hand is awful, doesn't look like he's sitting on the boxes because of where the horizon line is, messy/scribbly lines on the ship, ambiguous positioning of up arm vs the thing that's supposed to be to the side of it

lyon: hair is kinda clumpy in a bad way (needs flyaways or something along the length of hair sections, I think), torso anatomy nonexistent lol, I don't know if that's where ears are supposed to go

mid/een: not happy with the expressions I ended up with, m's legs look too long even though he should proportionally be ok??, lack of shoulder anatomy knowledge intersected with lack of perspective knowledge and made his arm look really weird BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHY, shaky adherence to horizon line, a's far wrist is way too small, her torso is also all kinds of messed up, had trouble reconciling anime stylised face + actual real face anatomy (flat vs. planes of face), HOWEVER I think the rendering came out pretty nicely and the bow was surprisingly straightforward to draw. all the things I'm annoyed about here are, I think, the result of me hitting my skill ceiling and not knowing enough to solve problems - so I am trying to be more okay with that xD

ACTIONABLES: draw out ribcages/shoulder anatomy for every sketch, trace heads + ears for placement, study Otomo 3/4 faces, draw box in perspective + horizon line (at least H.L.) before placing characters, keep tracing shoulders

gonna rant a ton over my sonic ocs below the cut so scroll past this if u want but i love so much how have their own distinct stories in my head that involve the main characters as well

almost all of them find a character from canon to fall back on and its rlly nice even if its by accident :]

salsa and trix's story is the least interesting to me compared to the others since theres not a ton to it, but it involves the two of them have a super rough falling out and salsa eventually teams up w sonic to try and take trix down. they fail but salsa finds new ppl to surround himself with

vermin brings sonic and a bunch of his friends into a virtual world/vr simulation thing that shes made called the nexus to train herself in and they basically have these super fun races and competitions (one of my favorite concepts ive come up with for this is the dark zone where under this special blacklight certain aspects of themselves become heavily emphasized (mostly competitive spirit) and they have a big last man standing style fight) and towards the end eggman shows up trying to get vermins tech. the group fights him off and vermin rlly gets a chance to shine here also fun fact! i originally made her bc i got the idea of a virtual training sim based on minecraft parkour fkjhdg

theta from salt au guides the group around this old science lab called the den. she also helps them fend off lab and his other creatures. she knows this place better than anyone, however she does unfortunately die towards the end of her story :( she dies protecting her new friends from lab, but he uses her to speed up the creation of his greatest work, the world eater (salt stands for sonic and labs trigger, theta's modified blood/body is the trigger to wake up the world eater so lab can use it)

then the newest addition, chamber, whos story is pretty similar to knuckles. team sonic + amy show up to the island that he lives on, not expecting anyone to be there anymore, but they do in fact find chamber. their adventure here deals w them trying to help chamber figure out what happened to his people and they end up fighting a huge sea dragon. hes initially super sheltered and secretive, but during one of the nights they spend on the island he and knuckles sit and talk for a good while. this is when chamber finds out he might be the last of his kind but hes really not alone (frontiers ref yippee!!!) though its painful for him to do, chamber ends up leaving the island and goes to angel island once the gang heads out. he helps knux care for the chao and other busy work on the island! this story takes place post frontiers so knuckles is actually getting out and exploring a lot more and chamber starts to help fulfill his duty while hes gone!! this new responsibility also helps him adopt a chao of his own named lapis :]

then u have the silly guys like joint and daniel nights who r just kinda here lmao

i may not do much with/post a lot of my silly little guys but i assure u they have so much love and care poured into them. i love talking abt them so much <3 if u got through this pls pls pls send me asks abt my sonic ocs i will answer all of them

request: Can I get a Julie x r where JJ is a gay mess around the r and vice versa. R sees her in sweats and a sports bra and gets all flustered but JJ has no idea why cause she’s a oblivious shithead. One night before a game they have a movie night and the r cuddles up to JJ and JJ gets all blushy and the team teases her about it the next day. During the game JJ gets injured and the r is worried and confesses her feelings in the locker room. The team ends up waking in on them kissing.

You stepped into the hallway with your phone in your hands scrolling through Instagram after a certain someone banged against your hotel door. You stared at Ashlyn as she went from door to door banging and yelling something about a movie night.

"Ash, what the hell is going on?" You yelled rubbing your left eye.

"It's movie night, bitch. Get your stuff and move your ass into my room."

You laughed but quickly shut up as the door opposite you opened, Julie leaning against the doorframe with a quizzical look on her face.

"What's going on?" She asked as more people opened their doors. You could spot Crystal behind her.

"Um–" You tried your hardest to speak without stuttering but the view in front of you made that very hard. "Uh, it's movie night, apparently."

Your eyes scanned her whole body. A snapback on her head, her hair open and messy, wearing grey sweatpants and a black sports bra.

You blushed heavily as she crossed her arms, completely showing her arm and stomach muscles.

"I'll see you there then." She said and winked.

You quickly closed your door with wide eyes and mentally slapped yourself. She must think you're a complete idiot now.

You arrived at Ashlyn's room after everyone got shut up by Jill and co. Now most of the team sat somewhere inside the room waiting for the movie to be played.

"Look who's finally here. Did they get your ass as well?" Pinoe asked, sitting on one of the beds.

"Yeah, they got me and So–" your words died in your throat once you saw Julie next to her, luckily wearing a shirt this time. Nonetheless it was a bit too much for your poor brain.

The way she stared at you, checking you out, made you feel uneasy. She wouldn't judge you, right?

"Come sit here, Y/N!" Pinoe grinned and patted the spot next to Julie and her side.

You narrowed your eyes, shooting invisible daggers towards her. 'Fuck it.' You thought and sighed, your legs carrying you over to said spot.

You bit the insides of your cheek while trying to climb over Julie's legs to sit next to her. Relief washed over you once you made it to safety.

But how would you be able to concentrate on the movie with that goddess next to you?

"Okay, who decided to put on a damn horror movie? We got kids in the room!" Kelley yelled and cackled. The whole room fell into laughter as the heads of Rose, Sonny, Lindsey, Mal and you turned towards her at the same time.

You flipped her off and stared back at the screen, not expecting the jump scare startling you. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Julie looking down at you, slightly grinning.

Not really paying attention to anything around you, just staring at the screen with tension, you suddenly felt cold hands on your arm pulling you over and into Julie's warm body.

Julie placed your head onto her chest, half of your body laying on top of hers. The horror movie seemed like the perfect excuse to get you close to her for once.

You felt completely at peace in that moment, despite panicking and blushing at first, not used to being this close to her. Still, you realized that this was exactly what you always wanted, with her.

Julie didn't feel much different, her arms tight around your body, like she planned on never letting you go again.

The next morning you were one of the first to board the bus for the upcoming game against Germany. You sat down somewhere in the back and put your AirPods in.

Gradually the rest of your teammates arrived and sat in their usual places. Tobin and Christen sat down behind you while Sonny claimed the seat next to you.

Sitting there with music in your ear you couldn't think about anything but yesterday and the way Julie held you against her and every time you did your heart fluttered, butterflies in your stomach.

Julie wasn't sitting very far from you either and everyone around her seemed to tease her endlessly.

"You're such a softy, you know that?" Ali joked looking through the seat slits in front of Julie.

The blonde rolled her eyes. "They're totally gay for each other, babe. Didn't know you liked younger ones, JJ." Ash winked at her.

"Will you guys stop! There's nothing going on, I'm not gay for anyone and so is she. Enough of this." Julie blushed and looked out of the window, putting her earbuds back in.

"Totally gay for her." Pinoe smirked at Ali and Ash, wiggling her eyebrows.

But somehow the thought of you wouldn't leave her head. Not until it was time to put a game face on and score some goals against Germany.

You were doing a remarkable job as a forward, so far 60 minutes on the clock, two goals for your team.

Ten minutes later you were subbed off, shaking hands with Jill, throwing on your shirt and sitting down next to Abby on the bench as Ash handed you a water bottle.

Now was the perfect time to keep your eyes on Julie's every move and become even gayer for her. The way she defended the ball or passed it with all her passion and aggression was a sight for sore eyes, always giving 110%, never less.

Magull performed a nasty tackle on Julie, sending her straight to the ground holding her ankle, her eyes squeezed shut in pain. You jumped out of your seat running over to where Jill was standing, yelling at the ref and players.

Your nerves were on edge, how dare someone hurt her like that?

Your teammates had to pull you away from the sideline before you could storm onto the field to confront any of them.

"Will you calm down, Y/N! She'll be fine, alright?" You stared back at Abby with wide eyes. The medics made it to Julie and Magull was carded, it wasn't enough to calm you down completely but at least you were willing to sit down again.

Once the game was over and done with you didn't waste any time since Julie had to be brought backstage and ran back to the locker room.

Opening the door in a haste you stopped and spotted Julie sitting in front of her locker, her ankle wrapped in ice and held up by a chair. You sighed in relief and closed the door before walking over to her side.

She was alone and on her phone, her greenish eyes watching you since you've stepped into the room. "Y/N?" She sounded surprised.

"Hey, JJ, how are you feeling?" You asked, catching your breath, sitting down next to her.

"Nothing too bad, don't worry about it. They'll fix it in no time. Short break for me." Her stare made you nervous.

You took a deep breath. "I– uhm, guess I gotta tell you something. When I saw you get hurt I realized something. I might like you more than I thought. More than just a– uh– friend. Surpriseeee." You blushed and held your hands up.

Julie's jaw dropped to the floor, out of the all the things she could've expected, it definitely wasn't this. "You were worried? God, that's really cute. And you know what? I really feel the same."

Your eyes widened in shock, now it was your turn to not expect stuff out of this. "But how? I always thought you weren't interested and then you really confused me when we cuddled yesterday and you–" Julie cut you off with a passionate and strong kiss to your lips.

"Ha! I knew it!"

"Someone take a photo!"

"Right in front of my salad? Really guys?"

"Quick, someone shield Mal's eyes." "Hey! I'm right here, you know that?!"

The door of the locker room opened and it was like a wild bunch of bears waltzed into the room, everyone was either yelling, teasing or making fun of you, unfortunately interrupting your long awaited kiss.

"We'll continue this talk later. There's a lot we need to talk about." Your face heated up as Julie whispered into your ear.

Dude!!! Please enlighten me about your OCs!!!

God... I've got so many..... But!!! I'll start with just my main five boys that occupy my every waking thought because I love and adore them Gonna yeet this under a readmore

Okay so quick side note, all of my ocs for the most part are for roleplays with friends, and if their not their for video games or dnd lmao so they tend to have a bunch of different varations/storylines and stuff like that. I've always wanted to make a actual like, comic or book out of a lot of the stories but I've never managed it, so none of the characters have like, a base storyline currently asdfjnasd So their motivations and personalities change/shift based on the story their in.

But! First off we have my baby boy and the oldest oc out of this group, Grech

He's just... my emo disaster I love him very much. He's very quiet and a bit shy, he tends not to show much emotion most of the time? But he just... wants to be friends with people and he wants to be around the people he loves and he's such a good boy and I just -breathes in- love him lots

He's also an absolute idiot this bad boy can fit so many bad decisions in him-

He has a twin sister named Flare who he loves and adores, and he's also got a giant black fluffy cat named Twilight who's his emotional support animal who's... so good.... He's just. Struggling along. Getting angsted by me constantly. He's a big comfort character for me, playing him is like wearing a big cozy sweater sometimes. I just... really love him.

Then we've got Carter!!

Carter is my disaster child, he also may or may not be my whump character, he's just constantly getting into trouble but he tries so hard and he loves people so much and so hard and god ahhh

His whole thing is like... being really compassionate/always trying to see the best in people, which can land him in hot water sometimes because he tends to ignore red flags because of it. He has really big abandonment issues and is just always struggling emotionally and is like... usually feeling shitty but he tries not to let it show. He's snarky and sassy, he tends to try and get a rise out of people he doesn't like and just isn't afraid to Cause Problems On Purpose occasionally. He's super cute, playful, and friendly, he calls his favorite people 'cochise', and... like he's a relatively new oc, I only made him about three years ago, but I feel like I've had him forever I literally love him so much. He also has a cat like Grech, his cat is a syphnx named Sage and she is wonderful.

I could talk about Carter for hours, I have so many feelings about every version of him I've written, he just fills me with feelings. He was meant to be a temporary throwaway character that only showed up for a bit but he just instantly stole my heart and I haven't stopped loving him since.

In the interest of time however let's move on to Damien

Damien, similar to Carter, was actually meant to be a throwaway villain character and then I, you guessed it, got fucking attACHED-

His first appearance had him dramatically draping himself across a chair in a dramatic entrance and he's ruled my life and my RP partner's life ever since

(Aforementioned dramatic chair sitting)

Damien is very much so the 'I don't care about anything except oops now I care about you' trope, he has trouble being emotionally open but he's so sweet once he does open up. He shows his affection through things like gift giving and acts of service and he's really tender and just... an absolute hopeless romantic. Simp. Dumb pining gay.

I just... I love playing Damien so much. He's so fun and dramatic and pretty, I love thinking about him and his motivations and just aaaaaaa he's a good fucking boy dude

Then we have the apple of my eye Jared!

Jared is an absolute sweetheart, just a bouncy lil fella, filled with warmth and also trauma because all of my characters are sad akdfjnaksjd. Jared is just!! Always doing his fucking best man, he wants the best for people. He tries to be really optimistic and like, sunshine-y, even when he's not feeling that way, and he tries to be really caring. He also represses allllll of his anger which is like... y'know... not great.....

But he's fine, probably.

He's actually the only one out of these characters that only has one consistent love interest (My rp partner's character Isaac, who I'd die for) and they are um....... fucking precious I love them so much.

P much all of these characters are ADHD/Autistic bc,, I play them but Jared was the first that I intentionally played that way and as such has consistent hyperfixations and special interests (Namely Tangled, Mulan, Fall out boy, and most of all, spiderman) so I really love that about him.

And, last, but definitely not least, is the chaos son himself Seth

(tungle will only let me use ten photos and I don't like his character sheet anyway so only outfit ref for him akjsdfasdj. As a quick rundown, his full name is Seth Laurens, he's 4'11, he's trans and gay, he's got adhd, autism, and ptsd, and he is a bastard)

Seth is probably the most recent out of any of these characters tbh? I only started getting really into him as a character over the past year or two but god... He's fucking fantastic. Pure chaos. ADHD embodiment.

Seth just has so much energy and rage and very little impulse control, he's constantly wrecking shop and not even meaning too. He's a tiny 4'11 himbo, not a fucking braincell in his lil head. He's very awkward and bad at making relationships but he tries so hard and once he does he latches on so hard to people and just loves them so much. He doesn't really think he's worthy of being cared about most of the time tho

He still has plenty of, sometimes unearned, confidence though. Nothing can stop this stubborn boy once he puts his mind to somethin he's fucking GOING. I love him.

But yeah!! Those are my boys!!! If you wanna learn more abt em I've got a lot more information and stuff on their toyhouses bc I have a,, hyperfixation on my ocs and I can never stop thinking about them. Thank you so much for letting me ramble a bit Tea!!! I really appreciate it ssfdiasask

Leafs Flying, Jets Grounded

Well folks, we’ve got ourselves some playoff hockey. It took longer than we expected, but the last two meetings between the Leafs and Jets have shown us just how much tougher this Leaf team is than in years past. It’s been close to 15 years since I remember a Leaf team that has played with this much grit, toughness and edge for an entire game, let alone two in a row and I think it’s safe to say the Leafs will be able to keep up with the grind of playoff hockey this time ‘round. The Jets are known for being a heavy, bruising team, and even though the Leafs are now 6-3 against them on the season, the Leafs looked to struggle matching the Jets’ physicality and emotion in the first 7 meetings.

I have no idea what or who flipped the switch in Jumbo, but the last few weeks, particularly these last two games he has been one of the most physical Leafs. Something Keefe has taken notice of saying, “he's bringing more fire competitively on the ice, more fire in the dressing room, more fire on the bench”. Accompanied by Simmonds and now Foligno, the Leafs are suddenly a very physical team and aren’t being pushed around – even Sandin dropped the gloves Saturday night. I use that term loosely because it was more of a wrestling match and not a good ole fashion donnybrook. None of us know what flipped Jumbo’s switch but the Wayne Train had his switch flipped by Dubois poking at Campbell in another scrum. Post game, Simmonds said he was “sick of guys jumping on our goalie & being allowed to spear him and the refs not calling it”. I wish the switch would’ve flipped sooner because Campbell has already been sidelined twice due to someone digging in his crease after a whistle, but it’s better late than never right, and it’s just in time for the playoffs.

Aside from no real fight, the last two games had everything you could want in a “playoff” game – back and forth, high scoring, post-whistle scrums, big hits and lots and lots of chirping. Credit and thank you to Dubas and co. for putting together the most well-rounded Leafs team in decades. One that can thrive in the regular season (and yes, I know it’s a short season) but can also withstand the physicality and grind of the playoffs. It’s a team Leaf fans have been wanting for years. You can tell these guys are having fun and they give a shit about each other. They’re doing all the little things you have to do in the playoffs to win games. With only 8 games left in the season, the Leafs are sitting comfortably atop the North division and we may have the first Leafs/Habs playoff series in years. I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait for that. Now if only we had fans in the barns for it. The Leafs are off until Wednesday and play the Habs in 4 of their next 6 games, along with the Canucks twice, Sens once and ending the season against the Jets. If these past two games are any indication, the season finale will be a must watch.

Quick Hits:

Sandin has slid in seamlessly on the third pair with Dermott. He has looked fantastic since returning from injury and very likely could be playing dermott off the third pair when Bogosian returns

Congrats to Patty Marleau for officially breaking Gordie Howe’s games played record

Someone call the whaaaambulance for Jets fans. Calling the Leafs, who are 26th in the league for PIMs/game, dirty. Your team is known for being a bunch of rats with cheap shots like Perrault’s hit last night on Tavares, and Ehlers’ spear on Thornton.

The Missing Series // Fire and Brimstone

18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.

Yes, ma’am! First I’m going to say that most do not, but the Missing series, particularly all that concerning Asuka and Ai, does in a big way...particularly the completely altered timeline that follows them if she doesn’t go away. You’ve seen the comic, where Ai doesn’t lose her nerve that snowy day and makes it obvious to him she also has stock in a deeper relationship. Yeah, that one. I’m currently working on more short comics from that timeline. Not necessarily a whole story, but snippets from that fluffier timeline. But that also means a few things happen differently - for one, Krow doesn’t join the Ryukyu offices, mostly because, in that timeline, he’s allowed to fulfill his own heroic story faster than he can in Missing. He’s not actually a rescue hero, but he doesn’t have Ai around in the main series to come into that as quickly.

I also almost went harder on Ochako’s duality in Missing, almost making Uravity a separate entity that was starting to hate Ochako’s bullshit. I honestly hated that and clearly didn’t do that. Instead, the duality is more “in her head” than anything. This idea kinda comes out in Krow and Asuka instead.

Additionally, there was, once upon a time, an alternative “Missing”, in which Deku chooses not to return to Tokyo for the Pyromancer case, and Ochako faces him alone. It gets obnoxiously dark and gritty, to the point where I’ve taken that OnO fuel and split it between Escape Artists and my little-known horror project Downpour I’ve been working on in not-secret. But, yeah, that’s definitely an abandoned plotline...*shudders*.

There are small details here and there that I changed in both Missing and Missing Out that created alts, mostly concerning Deku and how he fights baddies/figures things out, name changes for OCs, The Ring’s and Pyromancer’s whole identities changed, and Irina’s characterization has really gone through the ringer (from being another lovable asshole bird like Krow that simply gets on his nerves, to being a dangerous, but important antagonist). I also had Deku introduce the idea that people’s quirks can kill them in Missing because I intended to explore it more, and I’m not sure if that’s totally abandoned...

Yes.

All of that. I don’t wanna toot my own horn, but I live for hidden messages, references, callbacks, foreshadowing and symbolism. The Missing series (and to a lesser extent, Fire and Brimstone) is simply overflowing with these things...there’s so much that even with all of the people who have read it, there are still gems and Easter Eggs left to be discovered. And, before I get into it and make this post obscenely long, my reasoning for doing this is simple - I want you to read my fics again...I want to have reread value.

I’m going to put it under a cut in case anyone wants to discover them for themselves and also general spoils. Here are the ones I’m MOST proud of or that make me laugh or, dare I say it, make me feel smart. This is not an exhaustive list, and of course, I’m not pointing out any future Missing series meta for sake of spoilers.

Titling

Titles, titles, titles, girl you know I love titles. I’m a title SNOB. And I do A LOT of fun things with titles, such as:

1. Using the title of the fic as a buzz word and callback to the theme.

I get real obnoxious with this in the Missing series. The overarching theme of Missing is, well, missing people, particularly in the vain of heartache, loss, and longing. And I put it everywhere:

From Missed Chance:

Despite keeping steadfast to her goals and to her future, she knew that for a long time, she'd be missing him.

From Missing:

Today, there would be an update. As much as she wished it weren't so, the only time she saw Deku was when it had to do with Pyromancer or for a brief moment before leaving the police station in the mornings. Any other time, she was missing him.

“I miss you.”

...

“I'm always missing you.”

That's probably how he wanted it - being Asuka, the one still missing Ai, was too painful.

It couldn't ever be the same again, and Ochako was happy for it, feeling like her life was now so full.

And not a thing was missing.

From Missing Out:

“Miss me?”

“Only a little.”

But even when she was being annoying as hell, I craved her, like I knew I'd miss her.

Still, after all that time in the cold, her lips seemed like a warm reprieve...if I could have ever gotten there...

I miss her.

I'm always missing her.

^This one’s a double whammy, for obvious reasons.

2. Using chapter titles to run with a theme, too.

This only happens in Missing and Missing Out, but, look:

Chapter titles for Missing are the life of a fire and also follow the level of stress in the fic, as well as Ochako’s feelings: Hot Coals, Rekindling, Reignited, On Fire, Blazing, Inferno, Burn Out, Backdraft

Those words are used in their respective chapters too AND we run through them when Ochako is considering confessing or not in the last chapter.

I pull the same kind of crap in Missing Out, except all the chapter titles are things Ai gave to Asuka. If it’s an object, the object is in the chapter, otherwise, it’s stated in the chapter, too.: A Desperate Lie, Lunch, Skills, Home, No Conditions, Second Chances, Worry, Agony. It’s also in reference to this, because kill me, I guess.

Bonus: Since the story is told from within the theatre of Asuka’s memories, the titles for chapters 7 and 8, “Worry” and “Agony”, are spoiled in Chapter 6 here:

I didn't know I'd missed my last shot at telling her...I didn't know that I really would be missing out on a life with her.

Because everything after this is worry and agony.

BONUS BONUS - THE TITLE OF THE FIC APPEARS HERE TOO BECAUSE I’M OBNOXIOUS.

3. Title allusions and character.

Particularly for “Fire and Brimstone”, the title sounds like it’s just about the main boys, Katsuki = Fire, and Kirishima = Brimstone. BUT BUT BUT it’s also referencing biblical shit, which is appropriate, given it’s an Angel/Demon AU. It refers to God’s wrath when people use it loosely, but it is also the torment in hell for the deadly sin lust. *hint hint nudge nudge*

Okay that’s enough about titles. How about the fact that

Krow is a Crow

So many little crow quirks, lore, and bullshit is put into this character, like wow.

1. The entire concept of his quirk is all about crow lore, in that they are often connected with death in a number of cultures. This is why, although he doesn’t like to explain it, his quirk isn’t literally a sense of smell, but a little more mystical than that. It’s a sense. His quirk also references the Carrion Crow, Corvus corone, for which he’s based, which is a scavenger and is heavily associated with carrion and is native to Japan.

2. The green and purple iridescence of his wings are also referred from the Carrion Crow in particular.

3. What’s not overly obvious is that crows and ravens have positive lore too - in a number of cultures they are guides and messengers, sometimes to people, sometimes to Gods, which Krow fulfills to both Ochako and Ai (with Ai’s quirk, she could be compared to a goddess, for which he acts as the messenger - this was how she figured their partnership would work). Krow kind of puts this and the negative lore together when he explains his quirk for real in Missing Out:

As a teenager, I ignored them. Death is everywhere and it usually isn't important. Whatever messages they need sending, I'm not the crow they're looking for.

He also actually has a messenger bag in Missing Out.

4. It’s referenced in Missing and outright admitted in Missing Out that he’s inexplicably attracted to shiny things, which is more or less also crow lore, rather than fact, but still.

5. Krow’s name “Asuka” is a unisex name that refers to scents, but also birds and flight. There are a bunch of different refs that say differently, but I’m sticking with that. “Dakuro” is Engrish for “Dark”, which, if you really wanna meta, is actually his last name, considering his father is British. “Dakuro” is just how the Japanese people around him pronounce it. XD

6. He admits to collecting random shit he finds aesthetic, in reference to hoarding and collecting as crows do.

7. Asuka and Ai’s “lunch for quirk fodder” exchange, as well as his giving her the necklace and the box of quirk fodder, is in direct reference to this adorable true story.

8. Asuka speaks more than one language and is capable of mimicry during his “feral response” while fighting the Bear Trap Villain. This is in reference to the fact that crows and ravens are capable of mimicking human speech like parrots.

9. Asuka likes to sit in high places and watch people, and squats in tree for the majority of Missing Out and often bitches about walking anywhere, unless it’s to protect Ai. He has the mentality of a bird. He’s also built like a bird, with hollow bones and air sacs to assist his properly sized wings during flight.

10. He’s actually incredibly intelligent, and uses it to finagle out of tough situations and generally be a trickster, as is crow/raven lore, but crows/ravens are considered the smartest group of birds besides parrots. Unfortunately, this gets balanced out by the fact he’s a teenage human boy, which makes him lazy and capable of dumbass moments.

11. The murder investigations - there’s a number of instances where Krow can’t help but be drawn to death from his death sense in both Missing and Missing Out. He can’t stop himself from investigating the building Pyro is hiding in, the murder warehouse, and when Ai dies. Crows and ravens will gather around fallen comrades in a mix of mourning and also in an effort to try and figure out what happened and if that threat still pertains to them.

Secret Messages and Tells and Foreshadowing and Symbolism

-In Missed Chance, the duality split of Ochako and Uravity is referenced as happening at a particular moment. Throughout Missing, Uravity is treated as apart from Ochako until the end of Missing where they “agree” on letting Deku help. It’s a duality of self representation.

-At the end of Missing, I’m hoping its clear everyone but Iida was in on leaving the two of them alone. Aoyama initiates it by leaving first.

-There are at least two instances where there’s heavy foreshadowing of the end of chapter 7, once with Aoyama:

“Then where in this overcrowded city?”

“I see. Among the clouds, then.*”

And again with Deku:

“That's a relief. Now, I just need to make sure I don't float myself into the stratosphere and you'll be right!”

-There is SO MUCH symbolism related to flying and birds, I can’t really put it all here, but it’s there. Also so much symbolism to fire in Missing, not only with Pyro’s quirk, but Ochako’s feelings..

-Krow reacts to a memory of Ai before we know she exists (since he’s hiding it) while they are interrogating Necromancer: “That’s not bringing them back. That’s nothing like bringing them back.” He also lets it slip a bit that he’d speaking from experience when ragging on Ochako about Deku. Deku also introduces the idea that people’s quirks can kill them in the same chapter, which is in reference to Ai, but also what ends up happening to Ochako, more or less.

-If you replace Ai’s name with the literal meaning of her name in some sentences of Missing and Missing Out, the UwU angst goes up to an 11. Here’s the one that’s particularly the gut punch:

Ai saved me in every way someone could be saved.

[Love] saved me in every way someone could be saved.

-End of chapter 5 of Missing Out, No Conditions, it should be obvious as hell that if Ai wasn’t in love with Asuka before, she certainly is now. Particularly in the gift box scene, he gives her...butterflies...right?

-Ai is compared to the winter throughout Missing Out. This is more in reference to what she means to Asuka than anything else. Winter, as a season, is the great equalizer and although things die in the winter, it is also necessary to the bloom in spring. This refers to the shift in Asuka’s life because of her - his villain life ends and his hero life begins.

-In fact, that whole scene in the snow is based off this gif, particularly the alt comic. It’s of two crows sitting in the snow kissing UwU.

-In both Fire and Brimstone and Missing Out, it should be getting pretty obvious I like to have my winged beasties flutter their wings when they’re in love.

Referencing Literature & Real Life & Pop Culture/Memes

-Pyromancer’s first crime in Alaska is based off the McCarthy, Alaska massacre where a lone gunman gunned down 6 of the 22 residents and injured more. Guy almost killed the entire town. Pyromancer actually did.

-I’ve referred to “The Raven” by Edgar Allen Poe a number of times, particularly in Krow’s famous line

“Nevermore, bitch!”

But I also referenced the Telltale Heart, The Cask of Amontillado, Frankenstein, The Wizard of Oz, and fanfiction in general.

-There’s a pop culture reference in Fire and Brimstone from Bioshock where Shinso says:

“Would you kindly go repent at the alter? Ashido is waiting.”

And I love it a lot, because in Bioshock SPOILERS, “would you kindly” is the trigger phrase that’s supposedly controlling the player, Jack, to do things for Atlas and in canon, Shinso’s quirk is brainwashing. Mineta upon hearing it just goes “okay” and promptly does what Shinso tells him. Shinso’s brainwashing is also referred to by Mineta just before that:

“Or get brainwashed into believing fairy tales,” Mineta said flatly from beside the Angel.

-There is indeed a motherfucking JoJo’s reference in Missing. And there’s more memes where that came from.

-Krow’s use of “my guy”, “lit” etc etc. is self explanatory. He is a whole ass meme chicken.

-In fact, I call Krow and the other birds of the Missing series “chickens” because of the meme of the girl pointing to a bunch of geese saying “look at all these chickens!” In fact, Irina calls and will call Krow a “cock” in Missing Out and Escape Artists, and it’s kind of a more sinister play on this. Transplant and Keeper, during their convo in Missing Out refer to the women captive under Keeper part of her “henhouse” and that she’d need a “rooster” to go through with her plans. Krow also refers to his fight with Irina as a “cockfight”.

-I’m not religious, but the lore is fun to allude to. The religious references should be clear in Fire & Brimstone, and a lot of the words I use relate to the topic, even casually in the narration, but also when the characters say “like hell!” Also in F&B, the real Angelic hierarchy shapes much of the worldbuilding, as do the references to real life racism, police brutality, and other shit like that.

In Missed Chance, the sun coming through the window puts a “halo” around Deku.

In Missing Out, Krow refers to demons on a number of occasions, sometimes towards himself, his family (which in comes the irony, since they look like Angels), but towards the end, it’s used to explain Ai’s mental illness. There are also these choice lines that entertain the notion of heaven and hell:

Below us was hell – mothers with agendas, school, dipshits, murderous villains, oh my! But up there? It was just us...

I was under no illusions about a heaven...hell certainly exists back down on the ground but I've been high enough now to rule the other place out. Unless this cold, quiet nothingness is supposed to be the intuitive opposite to the chaotic, unfair bullshit below.

-There’s a lot of references and characters with mental illnesses - psychosis, sociopathy, anxiety, depression and PTSD are all explored. In fact, Krow’s tendency to laugh at everything and get triggered by certain events (all of Missing Out is the result of him triggering himself in order to make Ochako realize her mistake) is a tell-tale sign he suffers greatly from PTSD, and Ai’s mental breakdowns are indicative of the anxiety I myself suffer from. Honestly, I just wanted some fics that look into it.

-In the same strain, all of the characters in Missing present different coping mechanisms towards what first-responders actively go through irl. Much of that was taken from my own life as someone with police in the family and being married to a firefighter/EMT.

Can you write a fix about Baz waking Simon up early to watch the FIFA world cup with him. They can't cuddle because Baz gets too into the game and stands up to yell at the ref and tellie. Thanks so much! Miss your writing.

Oh, it has been a long time since I’ve written anything. I keep meaning to reblog another prompt list, but I just haven’t yet. I’m glad you sent in a prompt!

This fic is a little short, but if I’m being honest, I know absolutely nothing about FIFA or this sport in general. I did my best, but it’s mostly just Simon admiring his boyfriend (even if he is annoyed with him at first.) I hope you like it!

We’re two weeks into the World Cup, and Baz still insists that I get up early with him to watch the matches. I don’t usually mind getting up early, but there’s early early and then there’s middle of the night early, the latter of which seems to be when most of the matches begin for us.

I told him that he should just record them, and we could watch them later (when it’s a reasonable time) but he got upset and said that part of the fun is watching it live.

It took a bit of convincing, but I finally conceded, even agreeing to watch all of them with him. I don’t remember quite how he managed that bit, too wrapped up in pleasure as I was.

I have a few regrets about that. It’s not that I don’t like football. I just don’t think it’s worth watching a tournament for a month straight at all sorts of odd hours.

I know enough about the game from watching Baz playing it all of those years and playing the occasional pick-up game myself, but I’ve never been one to sit and watch it on the telly. And it’s becoming more obvious as the time passes that the only reason I ever attended the Watford practices and games was to watch Baz. I’m not all that interested in watching a bunch of strange guys chasing a ball back and forth across a field.

Now, if Baz were to be playing, that would be an entirely different story. I could watch him run around in his jersey and shorts, all sweaty and gorgeous, hair tied up in a bun, all day long. But I suppose having him next to me on the couch is just as good, even if he’s paying more attention to the guys on the screen than me.

I’m not even sure who’s playing today. All I know is that

Baz isn’t happy about what’s happening. He’s been on his feet, yelling at the refs for the better part of twenty minutes.

When we first started watch these matches, I thought that I was going to be able to curl up with him on the couch and fall back to sleep while he watched the matches, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Baz is very interactive while he watches, jumping up from his seat every time one of the teams scores, whether it to be to from joy or exasperation. After the first few times of being nearly thrown to the floor, I realized that I would have to sit on my own part of the couch to avoid any physical injuries while watching.

Which is how I wound up in the corner of the couch today, curled up in a warm blanket with a cup of tea, my empty breakfast plate abandoned beside me. I’ve found over the past couple of weeks that I prefer to watch Baz over the games, and this is the perfect vantage point to do that.

His hair is damp and curling at the ends right now. I have no idea what ungodly hour he must have risen at to get a shower in before making me breakfast. The food is a large part of what gets me out of bed, though. Anytime Baz cooks, I am more than happy to get up. (Even if it takes me a couple of hours to really wake up.)

I watch as he yells at the ref about a bad call, or maybe it’s for not making a call that he should have. I’m not really sure, but I kind of love when Baz gets worked up like this. It reminds me of our days at Watford when he would channel that energy at me.

It might be weird to love those days when we fought, but those were some of the best days of my childhood. Being at Watford, surrounded by Mages, and a large part of that includes Baz.

Nowadays, we’ve found different ways to channel our energy.

It’s a much better, more enjoyable way. Even when we get upset, we find a way to work through it that doesn’t include physical harm.

Merlin, I’m in love with him.

We’ve been together for a couple of years now, and I’ve told him that many times, in many ways. This is our first year living in our own flat together, but I am certain that it’s just the first of many. I want to spend my life with this man. Even if that includes watching the World Cup every time that it comes on.

Admittedly, I’m glad that this tournament only happens once every four years, but even if it were every year, I would gladly get up and watch it with Baz. It’s something he gets really into, and it makes me happy to see that.

I would do anything to make him happy, and someday, I hope that includes marrying him.

RD AU Draft: 2

(Same as last time but now featuring some edited parts-- Considering this a draft because its mostly unedited and I haven’t added everything in yet- but feel free to read it! The finished part will most likely be uploaded on ao3 but I’ll be sure to post a link to it on here.) Anthony had, had a similar reaction to Evan’s when he saw Tyler’s outfit. He wheezed and laughed too hard for his own good, but he got over it quickly in place of his own excitement.

The entire trip to the skate park was about how much they were going to enjoy the bout, how much fun they were going to have. Even after they had gotten inside and seated it was still just him blabbering on.

“They’re so-so cool! I promise you’ll both enjoy this and-”

Tyler put his hand on Anthony’s mouth. “Okay, we get it. Calm down, dude,” he mumbled. After getting a nod, he removed his hand. Then, he jumped in his seat after hearing a voice. “Tyler?” he turned his head, fear raising in hm. More people he knew meant more people not letting him live down the fact that he wore this outfit, meaning more jokes, meaning- wait.

“Luke?” he asked, snickering.

The man in front of him grinned and crossed his arms. “The one and only,” he chuckled. “What’re you doin’ here? I didn’t know you liked derby,” he asked, curious. Tyler shrugged. “I don’t know if I do. My friend dragged me out here to watch. What are you doing here and-” he giggled, “With bunny ears?” Luke blinked and then chuckled. “These?” he gestured up, “Aren’t mine. I stole them from Ryan. He came with me this time, but I usually regular the bouts,” he explained. And, aren’t you one to talk, cat boy?”

Tyler decided to ignore the comment, not wanting to linger on the topic of his clothes. “No way is Ryan here,” he spoke, genuinely surprised. “Oh, yeah. It's his first time at one of these too,” he replied, “I wanted to get him introduced to a new sport.” Tyler nodded, and glanced over to his friends, who were both sort of looking at him in confusion. Which, that made him confused until he let out an ‘oh’.

“Right. Luke,” he looked at him again, smiling some, “This is Evan and Anthony, my friends. You and Ryan should come sit with us.” Luke smiled at the other two, getting polite smiles in turn. “Sounds great!” he agreed. “I’ll go find, Ry and tell him we’re over here,” he added and turned to walk away.

They all grew more excited for the bout.

The bout had started off good, the teams getting introduced and the first few rotations going well.

Tyler was really getting into it, yelling at the skaters, encouraging the team he was rooting for, the Derby Dolls, and getting just overly excited.

“Keep going!” Tyler shouted, watching as the girl quickly moved her way out of the group and onto the turn. The crowd cheered excitedly as well. “Yeah! You kick their asses, AnnihilateHer!” he shouted, gripping the edge of his seat. He was having a better time than he thought he would.

Evan watched the girl quickly move her way around one that tried to stop her, his eyes wide in amazement and his smile wide. “Good job!” he shouted, hoping his encouragement would reach her as she sped a corner.

Tyler watched her with careful eyes and then he glared at the ref who called her, managing to hear it was a backblock- like the eighth one called to night (not on just her). “She wasn’t anywhere near her back! Open your fucking eyes!” he yelled at the ref and he kicked the wall in front of him. He’s done it several times already.

Anthony laughed gently. He was glad his friends were enjoying themselves. “I told you both you’d like it,” he teased as the jam ended, the next one setting up to be a power jam. Tyler looked at him, his eyes sparkling and his grin crazily wide. “Dude this is sick! It’s so fucking cool- I can’t believe they’d allow a sport like this,” he laughed. “It’s wild,” he chuckled. “You’re wild,” Evan snickered, “You’ve kicked that wall a billion times now, and I think you’re voice is loud enough the refs hear you the last few times. Control yourself,” he teased and got a punch to the arm in turn. “Shut up and let me have this,” he stated, but there wasn’t any spite or sarcasm, he was still smiling and having a good time. This was fun!

He looked to Ryan and Luke, who were in a similar state, though Luke was calmer due to having seen this all live so many times.

“And she just slammed into her-” Ryan exclaimed, hands flailing as he tried to explain. “Yeah, I know, Ry. I saw it,” Luke laughed softly and he looked at him with wide eyes full of awe. “They didn’t flinch, Luke! That’s amazing! This is really cool-” he looked to the track as a new pack formed. “Can you imagine if I did that?”

Luke tilted his head a bit. “Ryan, if I could imagine you doing it, I’d already be doing it,” he answered and Ryan huffed a little. “Really, Luke! Think about it! It’d be so much fun to play together- to learn how to do this cool stuff and-”

“You know, you can play it,” Anthony answered him. Ryan paused and looked back, curiosity in his eyes. “What?” he asked. “You can totally play it. In fact, I’m making a mens team- if you want to play,” he offered and Ryan stared before grinning wide. “No way.”

“I’ll do it,” Luke followed, gaining eyes. “I’ll totally play. Sounds fun.” Ryan pursed his lips. “It does sound really fun,” he agreed.

Tyler looked at Ryan, nodding. “I was the first to join, can confirm it's very fun-” “You didn’t want to join- plus, you haven’t even played yet,” Anthony cut in and Tyler looked at him with a glare. “I was the first you asked which makes me first to join,” he stuck his tongue out at him, and Anthony stuck his out in turn before they both chuckled. “I was second to join then!” Evan declared, snickering.

Luke looked at Ryan as he spoke. “I was third. You wanna be fourth Ry? Come on, you wanna do what those awesome girls are doin?” he asked, encouraging him to join. Ryan bit his lip lightly, thinking it over before he nodded. “Yeah… Yeah! I do! I wanna do that shit too! Consider me on the team! Whenever it's actually made anyways,” he grinned.

Anthony couldn’t believe his team was actually beginning to form.

The bout ended on a good note, the team they were rooting for winning and Anthony treated his friends to dinner (he even took out Ryan and Luke- they were going to be on his team after all so he figured he’d get to know them).

But, when he got home and sat down to start putting preparations for the team together, he finally got hit with a realization;

Making a team was harder than Anthony initially thought.

He had to advertise out to get more people. Four weren’t enough to cut it- it wasn’t even enough to start practicing (five being a good place to start). He also had the issue of needing to register his team, get jerseys, budgeting, getting forms and waivers.

He needed some help.

He ran his hands over his face, and sighed. This wasn’t too good. Who could he get to help? He didn’t know anybody else who seemed to show an interest in coaching the sport, and it didn’t seem like the type of thing he could drop a flyer for.

He thought over people, thinking of names he hadn’t thought of for a good while until one hit him with a good familiarity and made the lightbulb in his head go off as he grabbed his phone.

Anthony stared at his phone, eyeing the profile he had quickly pulled up on Facebook- thankfully they were friends already. He was hesitant, of course. He hadn’t talked to Brock in years. Was this weird? He fidgeted a bit with the device before he sucked up his worries and quickly typed a message. When he finished it, he patiently waited, running his hand through his hair.

A yawn left Brock’s lips as he sat his bag down on his bed. His clothes were stained with a drink some lady spilled on him, and he couldn’t wait to get them off.

God he hated his job. He was the nicest person he could be, yet someone was always ready to complain. The fast food industry could die. But, that thought made him laugh a little. Like this country would let fast food die.

He shook his head and got changed quickly before he finally got into bed and looked at his phone, only to see he got a message from… Anthony?

He stared at his screen, eyeing the message a few times over in surprise. Why would Anthony of all people be messaging him this late? Or now? He hadn’t even talked to him for the last few years. Regardless of that thought, he opened the message curiously and read through it quickly, a smile crossing his face momentarily before confusion hit.

‘Wanna help coach a bunch of dumbasses with my dumbass?’

The idea of himself coaching didn’t sound right, but the phrasing of the request was funny and it did keep Brock’s attention, especially as three dots appeared at the bottom.

‘Roller derby, I mean. You wanna help coach it? Adult league.’

A sudden feeling hit at the mention of the sport. He had loved playing it as a child, really. It was dangerous- despite the gear they wore, but the team experience is something he always held onto, even after he aged out at 18. But, the idea of coaching it? It had never crossed his mind. Until now, and it was till laughable. However, an opportunity to meet new people is always nice, and he did need a change in setting from where he was now.

He especially needed the latter. Quickly, he responded back.

‘More details would be nice, like where you’re living these days. But, I’m in.’

Anthony didn’t actually live too far from him, so it wasn’t hard to start planning on moving closer to the area if he were to actually take up the coaching position.

“What’cha thinkin’ about?” he jumped a little and looked up from the counter before sighing. “Don’t scare me like that, Lui,” he mumbled before standing up straight. “Sorry, just thought I’d kick you from you daze before someone else did,” he spoke, a bit genuine and a smile went with it that Brock could resist. “It’s fine,” he passed it off, “Thanks for snapping me out of it, actually.”

The shorter nodded and kicked his feet lightly before speaking; “So, you gonna answer me?” Brock took a minute before nodding a little. “I was offered a coaching position,” he answered, “I’ve been considering taking it up. I’m supposed to go meet the… team they have so far and the actual coach.” Lui beamed. “You should do it!” he nearly squealed. “It’ll be good for you, Brock! WWE Extreme Rules 2019 Review

First match of the night was one that wasn’t announced: Finn Balor vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship. Nakamura tried to get in Balor’s head early on, but Balor was having none of it. This was a match of stiff striking, both guys beating the crap out of each other. Nakamura reminded us of his submission prowess early on in this match, which was really nice to see again. At one point, Nakamura did the sliding german suplex that Taiji Ishimori does, which was cool to see. Nakamura followed it up with a Kinshasa, but Balor got the standing double foot stomp. He went for the Coup de Gras, but Shinsuke dodged it and hit a knee to the back of the head, followed by the Kinshasa for the win.

Grade: B. Decent match here, way to short, but hopefully they will have a rematch with a nice time on it. Shinsuke was the right winner here, that IC championship has been on ice for way too long, so a fresh champion could reinvigorate it. As for Balor, no reason why he can’t get a couple wins and move into the main event scene. Good match to start the show.

Next match on the pre show was Drew Gulak vs. Tony Nese for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Both of them were incredibly vicious right whenthe bell rang, battling on the mat and totally laying into each other with strikes. This crowd was completely on Gulak’s side here, as he is a Philadelphia native, which is always an interesting atmosphere. Early on they started to break out some big moves, such as a huge flying lariat from Gulak off the apron. It looked awesome and painful and it was a great way to get the crowd invested. Another spot saw Nese go for a 450 splash, but missed his target and drove his knee into Gulak’s gut, but only a near fall. Nese then tried to hit the package piledriver, but after a bit of struggling, Gulak hit a brutal powerbomb as a counter, but only a near fall. He then hit the Cyclone crash for the win.

Grade: B-. This match was criminally short, and the two never really found their stride, but it was still pretty good. They condensed what felt like a 10 or 15 minute match into maybe 7 or 8, and we were left with mostly just highspots. Gulak was the right winner here, he should have a long reign. Decent match, but I think we all know that they could do better.

I was shocked to see that the first match of the main card was Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns and the Undertaker, no holds barred. For these guys to be curtain jerking is shocking. After Taker entered the ring, they really milked the fans for every bit of cheering that they can do. For some reason, they all still have to tag in and out, despite there being no disqualifications. They all had a bit of time to shine in the begining of the match, with Taker actually looking pretty good and moving well. By the time Taker and McIntyre squared off, the crowd was nice and warmed up, so they were happy to see this big man fight. They actually overbooked Undertaker’s presence a bit, because everyone from Shane, to the ref, to random people around ringside were running scared of him. Taker even got a hot tag and absolutely wrecked both of his opponents. As Taker was about to give Shane a last ride through a table, Elias ran in from the crowd and nailed Taker in the back with a guitar. Reigns ran over to fight him off, but McIntyre sailed in from off screen with a claymore kick to lay him out. Elias tried to get in more offense on Taker, but Taker grabbed him by the throat, only for McIntyre to nail Taker with another claymore. The heels then set Taker up on a table, and Shane gave him the signature elbow drop through the table. During the spot, Taker cut his shoulder on the table. It was a rough spot, and scary to see Taker take it. They then dragged Taker in to the corner and wedged a trash can in with him for the coast to coast, and he hit it! After he did, Reigns flew in on Elias with a superman punch, only for McIntyre to take him down again. Shane pulled Taker back into the middle for the pin, only for Taker to sit up on him. Shane reacted in a great way, and then ate a chokeslam. Elias then ate a chokeslam of his own. They then had an awesome shot where taker was doing his throat slit, and Mcintyre just slowly stood up behind him. McIntyre was waiting for Taker to turn around into a claymore, but Reigns speared him out of it. Taker then grabbed Shane in for a tombstone and won.

Grade: B+. Even though this isn’t as strong of a B+ as most other matches that I have seen, this was a good match. It started off a bit slow and boring, but there were plenty of big moves and spots in that second half to be a great car crash match. Taker looked great here too, he was in great shape. This was honestly his best real match in years, probably since that Hell in a Cell match with Lesnar in 2015. The squash against John Cena was fun, but this was an actual match. Good stuff to Taker, he really held his own here, and the selling of how scary he was made the match all the more better.

Backstage, Seth and Becky were interviewed about their main event. It was corny, they talked about how they got inspiration from various sight seeing spots in Philly. The ending line was kinda good, but I didn’t need to see this.

Then they gave the first advertisement for Raw Reunion, kinda like a redo of the 25th anniversary episode that tanked so hard. Just a bunch of nostalgia in two weeks. Could be fun.

Then we had The Revival vs. The Usos for the Raw Tag Team Championships. Usos cut their obligatory promo and said nothing. Jey and Dawson started with some fast paced grappling. The Revival immediately retreated when the Usos tried for the first superkicks of the match. The Revival worked Jey over during the match, slowing it down in the way that they always like to do. In one awesome heel spot, when Jey was able to fight back a bit, Wilder distracted the ref while Jey made the tag, which allowed them to continue to work on Jey. Eventually, Jey and Dawson tumbled off the top, and Jey gave Jimmy the hot tag. Even still, Jimmy had next to no offense, because Wilder caught him out of the stink faces with a huge powerbomb for a near fall. Dawson even gave Jey a brainbuster at one point, which I though was banned in WWE, but it got no reaction and a near fall. The Revival then hit a great superplex into a splash from Wilder, but Jimmy broke up the pin with a splash of his own. The Usos then went for a suicide dive, but Wilder tripped up Jimmy on the outside, which then allowed The Revival to give Jey a shatter machine after some misdirection, and retain their championships.

Grade: B-. Pretty good match with a shocking finish. I definitely thought the Usos would win here, since the Revival are on their way out. They had a good match that was slow and meticulous, with the heels constantly limiting the offense of the Usos. It was a lot of good heel work with decent action that was mostly slow. You may like this match more if you are into heel work like that, and while I can appreciate it, it can’t carry a match on its own.

Now, I have never talked about the foreign announcers before, but I have to mention the Hindi announcers. I didn’t understand a word they said, except for at the end, when they posed together with their arms crossed and said “Hindi announcers.” I loved that, I don’t know why, but I did. They totally got themselves over with me.

Then we had Cesaro vs. Aleister Black. This was hard hitting from the second that this match started. They ran circles around the ring, getting in strikes and kicks whenever they could. Cesaro tried to get in Black’s head by mimicing the signature pose, but Black refused to be intimidated. So, Cesaro then tried to counter each of Black’s signature moves, such as pushing him over the top rope when he went for the springboard moonsault. At one point, Black went for a meteroa to a standing Cesaro, but Cesaro actually caught him by the legs, and popped him up for a european uppercut. Throughout the match, Black was focusing on the leg with various kicks and strikes, which later came into play when Cesaro went for another European uppercut and his leg gave out. So, Black put him in a leg bar, only for Cesaro to seemlessly reverse it into a sharpshooter, and then a crossface. Black escaped, and after a bit of a struggle, hit Black Mass for the win.

Grade: B. The match started out really well and had some hard hitting spots, but ultimately fell on a dead crowd. It was still pretty good, but I think I had my hopes up far too much for this. They worked together pretty well, and fans still got a sense of what Black can do. I can’t wait to see where he goes from here, because Black is money, World Championship material. Also nice to see Cesaro in the midcard again, he is also a great singles wrestler.

Backstage, Truth and Carmella were looking around for Drake Maverick, and he asked Alexa Bliss if he was in her dressing room, and although he said yes. Carmella then made them leave. Bliss then gave Nikki Cross one of her T-Shirts, which was all torn up. The Street Profits showed up and sowed some uncertainty in the relationship, saying that Alexa Bliss would become the champion. The women insisted that they would be co-champions, and the Street Profits laughed. Cross then screamed at them for it, and said that she would prove them wrong. As they walked away, Angelo Dawkins said that he wants to party with her.

We went right into that match: Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Cross and Bayley started the match and tore into each other with reckless abandon, but the challengers quickly took advantage and beat Bayley down. Cross and Bliss worked together very well, especially at one point when Bayley fought back when Cross trapped her in the ring skirt, and Bliss gave her a baseball slide to the back of the head to save her partner. At one point, Bayley locked Cross in a leg submission, and then dodged Bliss when she tried to break it up, only for Bayley to then lock Bliss in a crossface in a nice double submission spot. Cross eventually got a tornado DDT to set Bayley up for twisted bliss, but Bayley countered with the knees for the twisted Bliss, and intercepted Cross’s splash with a high knee. She then gave Cross the elbow drop for the win.

Grade: B-. Decent match, nice little story here but nothing too spectacular. I liked the tag team work from Bliss and Cross. Again, I was shocked at the outcome, I thought that we would have Bliss and Cross at Summerslam, but I was happy to see Bayley retain. No turn on Cross at the end of the match either, so that story isn’t done. Honestly, I think that they should go into the Women’s Tag Scene, and actually do something with those belts. Could be a fun story.

Then we had Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley in a Last Man Standing match. Strowman kicked off the match right away by throwing Lashley out of the ring and throwing him around ringside. As Strowman went for his shoulder tackle at ringside, but Lashley countered with a spear, hurting Strowman’s midsection early on. Lashley then took the fight into the crowd, battering Braun with a chair and targeting the ribs. The two fought into the concessions area, and Strowman gave Lashley a suplex into a wall of merchandise. As the two fought back towards the ring, Lashley was able to give Strowman a spear through the barricade, but both men still got back up. Lashley then mimicked Strowman’s shoulder tackle at ringside and tackled him over the German announce desk, dumping it on him afterwards. Strowman retreated into the crowd, and Lashley jumped the barricade to follow him, only for Strowman to take that momentum and throw him into the international announce desks. The two continued to battle into the stands, over an entrance. Braun then opened up a gate, and gave Lashley a powerslam into some production crates. As the ref was counting, we just had a shot of the side of the crate, and around Seven, Strowman burst out of the side of it, and won the match as Lashley stayed down.

Grade: C+. This match was very slow, and the high spots were not nearly high enough to get a good grade. Their brawl in the stands and the finish did elevate the match, but still not enough to be positive. The crowd was really into it though, so good on them. Of course Braun should have won here, and it is making me feel like he and Seth may have a match for Summerslam, or maybe him and Bray. A big win like this should translate into a big Summerslam match, but lets see what happens.

After that we had a quick interview with AJ Styles, nothing really of note was said. Fun to see him as a heel though, he is very imposing.

Into the tag division, we had New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) vs. Heavy Machinery vs. The Planet’s tag team champions. Woods and Daniel Bryan started the match, putting on a fast paced match with lots of strikes. Tucker quickly tagged himself in, showing a bit of his prowess, before Rowan quickly tagged himself in and yanked Tucker out of the ring. The heels worked over Woods, with Bryan yelling “Oh right its no DQ,” and raking away at the eyes. At one point, Heavy Machinery took on Big E, with Otis having him up for a vertical suplex, and Tucker giving a splash for the assist. Rowan later knocked poor Woods out of the ring, giving him a brutal splash, and then holding him up for a flying knee from Bryan. Big E then gave Bryan a spear through the ropes, followed by Otis faking a suicide dive, and instead hitting a splash off the apron. Tucker then nailed everyone with a splash on the outside. They dragged Big E back into the ring for the compactor, but Xavier woods broke it up. They gave Woods a double slam, and then fought off Rowan a bit. They then had Rowan in a double superplex position, and Big E completed the tower of doom. Rowan held on, so BIg E powerbombed both of Heavy Machinery as Bryan made the blind tag. Big E then gave Rowan a superplex, but Bryan flew off the top with a flying headbutt and locked in the Lebell lock. Bryan then tied Big E up as he tried to get to the ropes, eventually letting go because Big E was too much to handle. He lit Big E up with strikes, and Big he got quite into it, begging him for more. He then caught Bryans strike and whipped him into the corner. Bryan did his flip out of the corner, only for Big E to catch him, and with Woods, hit the midnight hour for the win.

Grade: B+. Another really good match from the Smackdown tag division. There was a lot of good action here, Striking from bryan, comedy and hoss fighting with Heavy Machinery, and some babyface action from New Day. It was fast paced and there was a lot of fun here. I really liked it. I thought that Heavy Machinery would win here, but I am happy for the New Day to get to hold all the gold. Match of the night right here.

The New Day were about to be interviewed, when Paul Heyman ran by and grabbed the mic. He talked about Brock a bit, before putting himself over as a Philadelphia boy and an ECW man, and said that Brock would be cashing in tonight. He then made it ambiguous as to whether or not he was telling the truth, and walked out. I’m not gonna grade this because it was a short promo, but it was interesting. I know he has been doing this kind of thing on TV, but I haven’t been watching TV, so it was fresh for me.

Up next was AJ Styles vs. Ricochet for the United States Championship. As Ricochet did his entrance, he did his little flip and the Good Brothers attacked right as he landed. Ricochet looked pissed, but was still willing to fight. The two started to fight, and The Good Brothers were constantly chirping on the outside and causing distractions. An example was when Ricochet had Styles on the outside, but Gallows and Anderson were right up in his face, allowing Styles to take control back. After Ricochet started to get some momentum going, he climbed up to the top rope and gave Gallows and Anderson a dive to the outside. The two men continued to go back and forth in the middle of the ring. At one point, Ricochet went for a slingshot DDT, but AJ countered it into a snap vertical suplex into the corner, hanging Ricochet up a bit. The two continued to trade strikes and even dueled to get a brainbuster, with Styles able to connect with it. The two then battled on the top rope, with Ricochet hanging Styles up on the top rope and then a springboards shooting star press. AJ was about to lose, but he had his foot under the ropes, which Anderson happily pointed that out. Anderson then charged Ricochet on the apron, and got taken out. Ricochet went up for the 630 as the ref checked on Anderson, allowing Gallows to trip him up. AJ then hit the Style Clash from the second rope for the win.

Grade: B. Good match, but they weren’t going all out yet. They were working a bit slower to make time for the interference spots. AJ winning makes sense with his new stable. Ricochet chasing for a while is definitely not a bad thing. I hope that this is not our last time seeing this, because I think that they could put on a match of the year.

Then we had Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Owens. They did their entrances, and they yelled at each other about who’s time it was. Ziggler slapped Owens, and Owens nailed the stunner for the win. He then grabbed a mic, and shot on Shane McMahon. He said that he stands by what he said on smackdown. He was shocked that he wasn’t fired on the way in, and thanks the Undertaker for saving his job. He then told Shane to kiss his ass and go to hell.

Grade: C-. Meh, a shocking finish and a neutered version of his smackdown promo. Not much here, but it was exciting. But not exciting enough.

Then we had Samoa Joe vs. Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship. He cut a quick promo being menacing, and then came out to the ring. Kofi started the match with a huge dropkick, and Joe responded with a huge lariat. The beginning of the match was showing Joe’s dominance. They gave Kofi bits and pieces of a comeback, only for Joe to put him the hell down with a huge strike of his own. Joe went as far as working over Kingston’s middle finger, making the announcers and crowd cringe and showing some good psychology and storytelling. They continued to go back and forth, and one point, Kofi went for the Trouble in Paradise, but Joe grabbed him in a Coquina clutch. He turned the submission into a uranagi and then a senton. Joe tried for it again, but Kofi dodged it and hit trouble in paradise for the win.

Grade: C+. This match never really hit its stride. They told a really good story of Joe’s dominance, but we already knew that. And Kofi’s win at the end really felt out of nowhere, as his comeback was far too understated. Just an unfortunate brand of storytelling.

And in the main event, we have Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch vs. Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans in an Extreme Rules Last Chance Winner Take All match. The match started off kinda like you’d expect, until Corbin introduced a kendo stick. Lacey tried hit Rollins with a Kendo stick, but he caught it. Lacey then hit on him a bit and got all cozy, so Lynch whalloped her in the head with a Kendo stick of her own. The faces then beat down the heels with the kendo sticks, before hitting a flying elbow and a suicide dive in stereo. Rollins then tried for another suicide dive, but Corbin blocked it with a chair. He then beat down Rollins with a couple chairs. Rollins fought back by countering Corbin’s offense, and tagged in Becky, who layed into Lacey brutally with a chair, ending it with a bulldog on a chair. Lynch was going to give Evans a move off the top, but Corbin pulled her away. So, Rollins came in with a flying knee, and then tossed Corbin a chair, which Lynch missile dropkicked into his face. Rollins and Lynch took a really really long time to set up a pair of tables while Evans and Corbin were on the ground. The heels fought back into the match, and they punished Rollins in the ring with Kendo sticks, leaving Lynch on the outside. Lynch tried to get the assist, but was met with stereo chokeslams for a near fall. The faces fought back and gave the heels a double suplex onto the ramp, and then put them on the tables that were set up. Lynch gave Evans a leg drop through the table, while Rollins gave Corbin a huge frog splash through another. Rollins then pulled Corbin back into the ring and went for the curb stomp, but Corbin countered with a powerbomb, and then popped him back up into a deep 6, but Lynch broke up the pin. Lacey tried to get the pin, but Lynch through her back out, only to walk into an End of Days from Corbin. Rollins was so pissed that he destroyed a kendo stick and a chair over his back, and drilled him with three curb stomps before pinning him.

After the match, Brock Lesnar walked out to cash in, with Lynch still lying on the outside. Lesnar gave Rollins a couple German suplexes, and then cashed in. he gave Rollins an F5 and won the championship.

Grade: C. Kinda fun at times, but this kind of match can suck sometimes because of the no hitting girls rule. I’m glad that Lynch ate an end of days, he got a lot of heat. But it was just a kinda awkward little fact that they had to work around. But it was brutal at times, and I liked both the finishing sequence, and then the cash in as well. This was as good a time as any, and if they were gonna do it on Seth, this was the time. But still not a very good match.

Overall Grade: B-

Pros: IC championship; no holds barred tag; cesaro vs. black; triple threat tag; US championship match

Cons: crowd died over the course of the night; owens vs. ziggler; main event; nothing that really tore the house down
