rewatching line of duty slowly and god… i am SO UNNORMAL about lindsay denton. she is THE unlikeable woman: single, cat lady, lives alone, doesn’t wear makeup, snitches on her male colleagues, puts women first, unapologetic… and that’s what’s SO fucking good about her. she lies, manipulates and schemes, physically assaults people, attempts murder, and every single damn scene she’s in you leave with a different impression of her, you don’t trust her, one episode you love her the next you hate her… and god, the way she gets close to people, makes them uncomfortable, asks them for their darkest secrets… she is the character EVER. and the fact she became corrupt to take revenge on pedophiles and help protect children and her final action before she’s killed is her doing the very same thing… god. i love her so much

Lumity is a good ship, but I will admit it has its flaws. My biggest problem is that it didn’t really get enough buildup, particularly with Amity. She never really got a moment to realize that she was in love with Luz, or at least we as the audience never got to see it. I honestly disliked how she was blushing at the episode of “Wing it like Witches”, because by then we know she’s crushing and it was honestly just….too early to do that. Sure, we may have seen maybe 2 instances where Luz had a positive impact on Amity, but to go from that to her immediately crushing and blushing felt forced to me, in fact, I don’t think Amity herself got the proper redemption or development towards her from becoming a mean top class stern student to a softer girl. The moment she starts blushing and falls in love with Luz, that’s mainly when her character does a turnaround, and she’s 100% good. At first I praised the first few episodes of season 1 since once Amity was on good terms with Luz, she didn’t immediately turn good, she was still strict and even hung out with the other powerful witches at school, but even that didn’t really last long. The show made me feel like Amity wouldn’t have changed had she NOT fallen in love with Luz and that’s honestly a problem. While it was nice to see Amity’s insecurities and wanting to help AFTER her and Luz officially became a couple, as well as her personal stuff with her family, the buildup to her falling in love and changing felt rushed. And yes, I know the show got shortened, I’m just putting my opinion out there. Like I said, I don’t think the ship is bad, but it could have been better.

it’s been an embarrassingly long time but I think I’m gonna pick up my first watch of Merlin again soon cause I got halfway through Season 2 before shit got busy irl.

but now I’m also desperately trying to remember the details of the AU plot I was telling to Emi that included, like, Arthur discovering Merlin’s magic at the end of either season 1 or season 2 (I can’t remember 💔), but Merlin doesn’t know he knows, and then he spends the whole next season agonising over whether he’d tell Uther or not/confront Merlin or not.

I think he probably has a preference for women but definitely finds men attractive too.

He didn’t realise until he was a little older but he struggled to find a good time to come out when he was more comfortable.

The first person he came out to was Maddie because she raised him and was always the person he trusts most in the world. Maddie was incredibly supportive of him and always tries to look out for him.

The first person he told in the 118 was Bobby because he sees him as a dad and feels safe around him. Bobby was really supportive of him and doesn’t allow for any discrimination against Buck or the others. If someone is homophobic/biphobic towards Buck, Eddie, Chimey and Hen he’s ready to protect. (I see Chim as bi too)

He confided in Hen about being Queer because he knew that she’d understand more than anyone. She was really supportive and becomes even more protective of him after she finds out.

The main canon relationships that really meant something to him were Abby and Taylor. Even after everything he’ll always have a soft spot for Abby and I think that eventually the two would be able to meet up and be friends. I like to imagine an AU where Abby comes back with her fiancée and she and Buck become really good friends but it would also be funny if Abby and Eddie get along really well and Buck’s like “wait what” when they tease him.

His relationship with Taylor was a little awkward and they definitely weren’t right for each other at that point. If they’d both being in different places they might’ve worked. They both still care for each other but don’t work out.

He definitely had a crush on Eddie and felt extremely connected to him after he got over his jealousy when they first met. Both him and Eddie are bisexual and would be able to support one another and really understand each other even if they had different experiences.

When Chris found out he drew him a pride picture because he knows about his dad being Queer so he wanted to make something for Buck too.

I think that Buck and Eddie would definitely love each other a lot but both wouldn’t say anything because they don’t want to risk their friendship because that’s important to them too. I think eventually they’d realise that they love each other too much and their friendship wouldn’t change they’d just be going into a different kind of relationship.

At first his parents didn’t really understand but I like to think that after everything was said and the secrets were discussed they’d get to a point where they’d learn. Philip and Margaret learn to understand him and both Buck and Maddie would get to a point where they could heal and form better relationships with their parents.

He goes all out for pride once he’s out fully and sometimes decorates a part of his apartment with pride flags.
