Am I the only person on here that doesn’t see body inclusivity in fanfic on this app. Like I understand that for the longest time curvier women have been but down and deemed as “unhealthy and unattractive” but there are some women that have no curves like at all. I’m not saying that ppl need to start writing for slimmer women. But not every women has big boobs or even a big ass. I personally have neither😪. Like when I’m reading fanfic and I see the “body appreciation” I automatically skip it bc Ik it’s not my body thats being appreciated. Idk I feel like ppl think that it’s only the curvier women who get insecure but its everyone. Idk that’s just me. Like does everyone have this body type and I’m just behind or what? 😭

I hope I don't get bashed for this, but there’s something I have to say in regard to the whole Zuko and Katara being unable to be a couple because of the oppression Zuko’s family and nation had on the rest of the other nations.

Everyone knows that what the Fire Nation and the royal family did to the other nations was fucking terrible. No arguments there. But what the hell was the point of Zuko’s redemption arc if people will immediately antagonize him and make him the grand villain once he’s mentioned romantically with Katara?

If Zuko can’t be together with Katara as a couple then how can they be friends? How can Sokka, Suki, Toph, and Aang be friends with Zuko?

Because all of the GAang except Zuko have had their nations severely affected by the Fire nation, and yet no one blinks an eye when everyone is friends with Zuko, but Katara , who after development is built between the two and then forgives him genuinely, is paired up with him and then somehow it’s completely wrong?

Zuko with anyone from the GAang has a connection of trust, not just Katara. So why bash a relationship that has already cleared up its misunderstandings?

I don’t understand, please explain.

Okay so I’m a WLW but not a lesbian so please forgive me if I come across the wrong way, as it’s not my intention. But regarding the discussion about Nami and the “mean lesbian” trope brought up by @beanghostprincess. I’m not saying it’s not a harmful term because it definitely is. However, I don’t think it’s accurate to say that Nami isn’t (at least a little bit) mean. She has so many other traits that eclipse that, of course! She is incredibly smart, kind, stubborn, resourceful, and loyal, among other things. But she’s also mean, which is something that I actually admire her for, because I’m the same way. She’s mean when she yells at her crewmates and smacks them upside the head. She says things that are rude to her enemies. She’s mean because she doesn’t trust people due to her past.

But as I said, that’s not all she is! She has so many other amazing traits that we get to see often, so I enjoy the times when she is mean. In my eyes, her being mean sometimes works because we see all of the other sides to her, too. It makes her relatable. However, it’s an issue when her character is reduced to the mean lesbian, because she’s not. She’s just mean and also happens to be a lesbian.

This is my perspective and I’d love to hear what other people think—especially the lesbians. Gonna be doing my own research after this about the mean lesbian trope but I’d like to hear your general thoughts :)

Ok this is gonna be short because i don’t know a lot about autism but i do have three autistic friends and one of them gave me some tips on how to write this so i hope it’s ok!

Being the 80’s autism wasn’t very well known but mikes a smart kid so he’s a bit more aware than others.

He would definitely be 100% supportive of you no matter what considering he is friends with Dustin so he would never be ablest

Mike can always sense when somethings triggering a meltdown for you and he’ll always try his best to calm you down by moving you away from the situation or holding your hand whilst doing breathing exercises

If your sensitive to loud noises Mike will always put his hand over your ears for you and kiss your forehead

Mike loves hearing all about your special interests and actually sits and listens to you rather than pretending he genuinly cares about what you have to say

If your ever feeling in a hyperactive mood he’ll go for walks with you or even just jump up and down with you

When your having a sensory over load he will try his very best to minimise it as much as possible like turning off any music or removing things away from you so your not so crowded

Overall i think Mike would be an amazing boyfriend to anyone no matter what <33

Reading Star Trek fanfiction, as everyone should, and got to thinking about replicators and space diets. Spock is often referred to as vegan/vegetarian (I actually have no clue if that’s canon or not) which is like just a Vulcan thing, they all have similar diets, but since all starship food is made by a replicator, would the ethics of being vegan even come into play? They aren’t harming any animals or natural life by eating reconstituted meals, because all of their required nutrients are added by a replicator or by supplements. Of course, I don’t think Spock would just start eating meat or anything because it was never part of his diet and could easily cause him some digestive harm or whatever (space allergies?) and there’s plenty other reasons to be vegan or vegetarian, but. Would being vegan for ethical reasons even matter?

oh man people keep thinking Jevil sold out faster than Spamton because he’s popular, (which yessss he’s awesome) but REALLY Fangamer stated themselves that it takes a couple months to make a bunch of plushes and most likely after the Spamton plush was released, there was a HUGE demand for Jevil plushes to which they went to work on that. (As in the Spamton plush was announced on 4/20, then it was released many months later in September! whereas the Jevil  plush only had a few months to be worked on (September to November) and they weren’t sure how good the sales would be and decided to test before creating a whole load of them like the Spamton plush, to which it was successful and now they will make a whole load of them. AND I TOO REALLY WANT ONE,

Preluding this with: I’m not really a huge fan of the later seasons so a lot of the episodes I’ve only seen a couple of times (mostly I don’t have a good relationship with later season Emily’s characterisation). Which is a shame because I do really love all the later additions to the show, including Tara.

That being said, Temily is probably the only other ship that occasionally rolls around inside my brain - my problem is that the potential of them is deeply coded in if Emily was more Emily-like in those late seasons. Like… I’m not sure I’m explaining this right but that version of Emily we have when she returns in s12 and the unpolished characterisation of Tara does click so well and are wholly shippable but there’s a distinction in my mind between that Emily and actual Emily Prentiss.

Hi anon! I understand your reasons for being upset and I’m so sorry that people keep putting her all over your dash, but I don’t think it’s necessarily a matter of us ‘forgiving’ her for what she has done, especially since, like you said, she hasn’t apologized for it. I think it’s just a matter of like… She IS married to Gerard and that’s the truth. With that specific picture, I just think we all enjoy it because Gerard is absolutely beaming in it and, for me at least, it’s a matter of seeing that and it’s the confirmation I need to know he is loved that has me like :). I don’t like her much either, but I can’t change the fact that he is married to her. It’s just one of those situations where it is kind of like :/ because we are certainly not here to excuse racism or any of what she has done/said/etc., but we do have to accept the fact that this is the woman that he is married to.
