I adore the steelworks gang, like more than I've seen other people express online.

First of all...

My little icon Lexi.

They have been known and initially regarded for their silly voices and jolly nature but I don't often see people looking into why they do it. Like their voices make them more wild than Marion who's generally loved by some fans but they also do it in spite of themselves. They and Theo did an entire upbeat song about how much they are failures to railway engineering with lyrics like:

"We're experiments gone bad

in other words whoever designed us must be mad."

These are not the words of someone with self esteem in how funny they are! They even showed them actually depressed when saying 'We can't do anything.' for the final time in the special.

And anyone who knew how long it took for more in-your-face LGBT+ representation in 2018 She-Ra will know that if this special just came out three or four years later, we might've had proper gender-fluid Lexi representation.

As for Theo...

He is still a pure little bean and I feel the ambiguity of his design makes it all the more reason for him to feel bad about his design. I don't know what about his design warranted gigantic cogs on his sides but we don't know what went on in whatever workshop he was built at. For all we know he could've had the Henry treatment, having been dumped on the doorstep on the first desperate railway executive needed an engine, as a last ditch effort for a dying manufacturer.

As for him being on the spectrum, I can still see it in his behaviour. Lexi was truly not gender fluid but once you've met one autistic person, you've met one autistic person.

And some characteristics are visible in him.

His unintentional bluntness. "Are you being scrapped?"

His tics and stutters.

His shakes in excitement, if you were to count it as stimming.

And who's to say he's not limited to physical disabilities? He and Lexi, depending on how successful you can view it having designs as unique as them on British rails, are the perfect ones to have given the body language they were adamant on giving all the engines back then.

Him being so gentle and anxious is generally adorable, so yeah, not so much to say about his actual personality.

Speaking of not much to say, not much to say on Merlin either, at least nothing that people haven't said already. We all know how awesome he is.

Beresford is MY MAN!

Beresford just wants a friend guys. He said in his own song that he was always ignored by engines who just want to get a job done. No time to chat with him. Loneliness can drive him mad. It is kinda sad that his appearance in Royal Engine was not only a sign of the further appearances these characters could've had but how it was also kinda a rehash of the scene we got in his last appearance, so maybe an episode of his own where he learnt to make friends properly would've been fun.

Ah well, at least he got some friends in another life.

And what can I say about Hurricane?

Keeping it real, working with steel.

Since 1902

He is such a chill guy, that while his companion might've had a lot of hard labour in mind for Thomas, he seems so genuine in wanting to take Thomas in while still acknowledging his terrible position. He could've done with standing up to Frankie though. But whatever, that's meant to be a part of his character, and he was voiced by the chad Jim Howick no less.

It's so funny when people say he sounded like a member of the royal family when he's played kings before.

And then there's Frankie.

Oh my god I adore her so much. Her manipulation being legitimately intimidating at the best times, especially when she's actually chasing Thomas down in the dead of night, her musical style bribing him into working for her, her VA's performance capturing all of her personality through line delivery perfectly.

Everything about her class, her demeanour, most of her lines makes me so curious about her whole life.

How is she running this steelworks better than the human manager of the works if there even is one? How are the human workmen so ok with her doing this? How did the other engines before Thomas get into doing her work? How did they get out? How did Hurricane stay with her for this long, let alone not encourage some potential friends of his to work with her? Was she indirectly responsible for Hurricane surviving as long as he did to still be a tank engine after she was built? Why didn't the railways surrounding this fictional steelworks not agree with this most likely non-existent human manager not just agree to get a lot of their engines to transport steel from their works? What did Frankie do? What are you hiding from us!?

The whole mystery surrounding her and her apparently feeling put-down and apparently not evil at heart according to her character profile and her role in the book 'Delivery at the Docks' makes her potential crimes such a goldmine for story potential that I really want to delve into very soon.

And yeah, that's what I have to say on them in canon. All beautiful characters that I feel need more recognition on a regular basis.

Lunya/G'raha. Endwalker finale. 1143wc. Content warnings: kinda gorey descriptions? ⮞ Fourteen years ago, a little girl learned something from the man who would give his life for hers.

"Mister Kichirou," Yeyema began, tugging at the sleeve of her guardian's haori as they traipsed down Ruby Road Exchange together, the old man's steps slowed to keep pace with the young girl's smaller ones. "Why's your ring got so much aether in it?"

Kichirou's face lit up with delight as they drew to a stop at the intersection of the road and Emerald Avenue. "You can sense it, little moon? That is my wedding ring—it's filled with my late husband's aether. It is all I have of him now."

"Oh." She looked upon the ring and its crystal setting with a new kind of sympathy and curiosity. "It feels like there's almost enough aether in there to make a whole person."

Her grandfatherly guardian laughed, but it sounded kind of sad. "That's because there is—he passed before we finished the full transfer. Maybe if we had done it sooner he could have been healed." He chuckled more when she tilted her head cutely. "The rings were a failsafe, of sorts. Were one of us gravely injured, we could return each other's aether back; a unique token of love, trusting another with our life literally in their hands."

"You can really do that? Transferring that much aether into such a little thing?"

"There are many old spells lost or forbidden to modern mages," Kichirou told her, in that mysterious tone he oft used when she tried to poke too much at his life before Eorzea. "If you're truly curious, I will tell you of its fundamentals later. But first, shall we pick up your snack from Momodi-san?"

"Cookies, please!"

They don't expect the first of their missing Warriors to return in the state that she does.

The teleportation spell releases her on the floor of the Ragnarok with a whisper of wind and a flash of light that draws the attention of all the waiting Scions on the ship. G'raha Tia is the first to his feet at the sight of white like starlight, a wail erupting from his mouth when he takes in the state of his wife. Majj and Einar join the chorus.

Uncountable bruises bloom like twisted flowers across Lunya's face and upper body, the light of her freckles dimmed like clouds smothering the stars, but most concerning and terrifying of all is a vicious gash nearly splintering her in twain from her shoulder to opposite hip, blood seeping through the pearl sheen of her coat and black lace barely containing her insides. Her breath is so shallow it's hardly there at all as her twilight and crystal eyes gaze blankly into nothingness, and her white hair spills across the steel floor drenched in her crimson.

"NO!" G'raha's voice breaks as he falls at her side, hands glowing with healing magic even though a voice at the back of his mind tells him it's for naught. Never before had she come back to him in such a grievous state; of all the men and monsters she's faced, only one managed to strike a blow to her in this way, and Meteion hadn't said she and the others were left with him.

"Focus, G'raha," Y'shtola orders in a soothing but stern meter, but even her hands are shaking as she pushes aether into the open cavity of Lunya's chest, coaxing sinew and skin back together as fast as she can as Theodaux redirects organs where they need to be. Alphinaud and Ahnji hover; they can't expend all their healers at once when there are still Warriors yet to return, no matter how much G'raha wants to beg them to help her or how much they want to help themselves.

"It isn't enough," warbles Theo, sweat beading on his forehead from exertion as he leans against his staff. "There's too much to replace and she's losing what's left fast."

"Short of a whole person's worth of aether, I am not sure what we can do," Fleuriri murmurs, resting a hand on the Elezen's shoulder. "And seeing as she's already received a full foreign transfer once, I can't say how her body might handle another attempt."

Gods. He wants to cry. To kick and scream and curse and tear apart the universe for trying to take her from him. G'raha scratches groves into his wrist, a nervous habit turned frustrated, but as his fingers slide down to his wrist he remembers.

"Her aether," he says desperately, turning to Y'shtola. He pries off his wedding ring, crystalline and glowing, and shows it to her. "I have her own aether—enough to make a whole person, she said. The spell she used wasn't anything we know."

Y'shtola's eyebrows shoot into her bangs as she regards it before settling in grim determination.

Lunya blinks pitch night and stars from her eyes to find the ceiling of the Ragnarok. The twins are the first thing she sees after; Alphinaud has a steady stream of healing tethered between her stomach and his nouliths and Alisaie is pacing back and forth, muttering furiously to herself. The second thing she sees has all the residual fear she hadn't realized she was holding onto drain from her body in a heartbeat—her husband is crying, which won't do at all, and she fights against the heavy weight of her body to raise a hand to his face.

"My lodestar," her Raha weeps, grabbing her hand in his and pressing it to the curve of his cheek.

Voice creaking, she wonders, "Is everyone all right?"

"You're the last person who should even ask," G'raha huffs, but he smudges away the tears at the corners of his eyes and squeezes her left hand in his own. Distantly, she notices she's not in her robes anymore, bandages winding around her chest and stomach instead. Her husband's covered in blood that can't be his own and his wedding ring is gone and Y'shtola is across the room downing mana potion after mana potion, swaying in place as Majj does his best to steady her. She gets the feeling she knows exactly what they did.

"Thank you, sinta ko," she murmurs. "I'm sorry."

"Don't."

The ship explodes in a flurry of sound as another Warrior arrives in a haze of pink fur and blood and the others rush over to administer emergency healing yet again, but to G'raha and Lunya they sound a million miles away when he kisses her brow before pressing his own to hers.

"I would do anything for you," he reminds her. "I gave you my life just as you gave me yours, so I'll remind you a million times if I must. Just—live for me, Lunya. Don't apologize—just never do that to me again."

"I promise," she says, twisting his engagement ring around his finger. They'll have to make him a new wedding ring now. "And that is one I truly intend to keep."

+ Ant (Gen 4): Ant was a bully in HS, taking pranks way too far. He spent most of his time skipping class and going to upperclassmen parties. Sadly, he didn’t have any friends growing up...just his siblings. He’s in a much better place now, as an adult, but he regrets a lot of the enemies he made in HS. Curse that evil trait!

+Lucia (Gen 4): Lucia was that cute, preppy girl who spoke up every once in a while in class. She was mildly popular but spent most of her free time working at her father’s art gallery. Her favorite class was art and she was the one to always stay after class to help the instructor clean up as well as get the latest teacher gossip. She was really good at weaponizing that gossip too! >:) 

+Gnat (Gen 5): We all know Gnat’s high school life; it was a huge part of this legacy! She was extremely popular and even had a small clique at one point. Her cousins jokingly called her Queen Bee (Queen Gnat just doesn’t have the same ring), but she quickly disbanded her group when she realized how far away she was getting from her true, legacy goals. 

+Max (Gen 5): Max was the quiet, studious kid in HS. He took advanced placement exams and honor courses. He was also involved in theater and band! He’s one of those students who seemed like he had a lot of friends, but was really alone most of the time. When the news broke that he got into Britechester with honors and planned to be a lawyer, no one was surprised. Private school definitely moduled him into a seemingly successful adult! 

+Jake (Gen 5 Spare): Everyone knew Jake Insecta, for better or worse. He was the class clown (not on purpose) and was constantly in sitcom-like situations. He was a bit of a rebel, going to parties with upperclassmen and even trying to shoot his shot with a senior, Darling. In the end though, he was a true loner. He spent a lot of his times at the ruins, sometimes inviting his cousin Ladybug.

+Darling (Gen 5 Spare): Darling’s senior year wasn’t the greatest. They moved out of their parents’ house, struggled to graduate, and focused more on sports than class. A true basketball star, they even had the chance to get a scholarship to Foxbury! Darling really took pity on Jake in HS and was basically his only friend besides Ladybug. They all became friends in the end <3

+Ladybug (Gen 5 Co-heir): Ladybug hated HS. She had trouble making friends. Her standoffish personality and sarcasm was not appreciated one bit. She resorted to drinking to seem cool, but was generally known as the “legacy spare”, which she HATED. Maybe this was the source of her attitude, who really knows. She definitely was a misfit, like her father, and spent a lot of time trying to be someone other than herself. Thankfully, she’s accepted herself as an adult (including her unruly, and ever changing hair!).

+Theo (Gen 5): Theo moved around every few months as a teenager, so he never had a normal HS experience. He got into A LOT of fights and always seemed like his was in a bad mood. You could find him outside of class smoking or at the principal’s office sulking in a chair with a new black eye. People tended to avoid/ignore him and his cigarettes, bruises, and ripped clothes. His senior year was more stable, living with another family, and thankfully he was able to catch up on all the credits he had missed.

Ikemen Vampire - The One That Got Me Into This Mess

Blorbo - Definitely Arthur. I’ve probably explained the storyTM before but basically Arthur’s my fav for three reasons. One because I just find him painfully relatable at moments (not all the time tho thankfully oh boy); two I think we’d be relatively compatible; and three I was reading the story, getting into it, when I hit a chapter where Arthur screams. And holy shit the VA just went for it (note this VA also voices Childe cause my favs are a flat circle apparently). Anyways I was so blown away by how raw it was my respect points went up by 10k and Arthur’s spot as fav was cemented.

Scrunkly - Isaac. My boy. My baby. He’s just out here trying his best dealing with the fact he’s got the vampire equivalent of anemia mixed with feral boy energy (that sounds cringey I’m sorry Isaac). Look he’s just a painfully shy man with unquenchable bloodlust and the feeling of being permanently separated from humanity because of it. Can a person not want to hug this man and give him all the love? Anyways he’s baby.

Scrimblo bimblo - Uhhhh. I don’t remember the popularity rankings tbh but I think Vincent is overlooked for Theo which honestly I don’t get. Theo’s just a right dick half the time and is definitely better in fanon than canon. Meanwhile Vincent is just a himbo. A himbo with trauma but still a himbo. He deserves to be the more appreciated brother my dude asks permission for every step in the relationship, doesn’t have a death wish, does act like an ass to the MC. I mean to be fair I like Theo well enough, but again. Vincent is better. Sorry lol don’t kill me please

Glup shitto - Claudia (I think that was her name) from Saint-Germain’s route. This route is out here passing the Bechdel test via kidnapping. We love to see it. (Anyways yeah 10/10 I know she’s not a love interest but I’d court her if she’d let me). Sorry if your name’s not Claudia idk man. Blorbo - Kenshin. Oh my… Kenshin. I’ve become so enamored with this idiot that seeing him in other routes makes me smile like a maniac. Here I was prepared to endure Kenshin’s route cause he’s supposed to be a yandere and instead I get… a complex (for an otome game don’t get me wrong this isn’t Virginia Woolf or anything) look at mental illness, trauma, and relationships??? What?? MC actively admitting she thought she could ‘fix him’ but she doesn’t cause he immediately spirals? Good writing? Anyways I’ve accepted my status as Kenshin simp. Rip, maybe I do have bad taste.

Scrunkly - Yukimura prolly? Like not all the time but he’s definitely the one that has the most cuteness aggression moments. This poor man is just trying to survive at this point surrounded by murder hobos and that’s really funny. Also he’ll just believe anything. Idiot (affectionate). Note I haven’t read his route so idk but until then (and maybe after) he is scrunkly

Scrimblo bimblo - Nobunaga. Which sounds weird right since his face is on the thing basically, but I think the first route guys tend to be overlooked or seen as boring. Which fair but look this route got me into Go/Baduk and now I play through NHK games on my board on a semi-regular basis and want to find a Go club so I gotta give him props. Also I do like his character even if he’s also a total ass he has good moments.

Glup shitto - Kyubey. Now admittedly I was ready to despise him when I first read his name because, y’know, being meguca is suffering and all. But honestly Kyubey goes through so much shit he deserves appreciation. Mitsuhide better be paying this man a lot.

Poor little meow meow - Kennyo is textbook meow meow. My dude is in like every route trying to get his revenge and he just never succeeds. He also feels guilty about it like 97% of the time but is like “my comrades… revenge…” how about you go back to being a monk so your comrades can go to the afterworld without worrying about your sorry ass. I do appreciate him tho.

MC should not have let him off the hook so easily in like all the roots. I deserve to throw Lancelot into super hell.

Blorbo - So again this one is new and I’ve only played 2.5 routes so far (sorry Leon) but I’d say rn Nokto or Luke, though Jin is fun to read for events cause I am trash. Nokto is prolly my sole fav. I just have a lot of thoughts and emotions about this idiot and I even outlined and started writing a fic for him, one that will never get posted prolly. He’s got a lot of potential and he’s just kinda compelling. Idk. I like him. Yes he is a bit like arthur stfu.

Scrunkly - Honestly none of them really, but if I had to pick prolly Yves. I feel Like Pa'ne Mainly intiated anything in this Relationship, coming from a Person that slightly annoyed Mellow to someone He couldn't start the day without. I feel during His Monster Transformation Mayhem she slapped Sense Into him and this way He finally caught a grip of it and learned to Control it. The Bad Future is only If she didn't Care about him enough I feel. Him proposing to her came to Pa’ne out of left field and it was the first time he made her flustered. Anyways Mellow gets a good Job in a company while Pa'ne and him travel across the world a Lot and have Adventures. So He can do Home Office and enjoy Life. Confident Mellow became more immune to her Teasing but she still manages to tease him enough. And so It became a comfy adventurous Future for them.

No Matter which Yuuki Au we follow, I feel like it be fun to Imagine which way it goes. Like He has admiration for her and given He hangs with Scarabia a lot they met on a whim. He slowly Builds Up this light crush but He would Accept If she ever l leaves Twst although it makes him sad. I feel Like Yuuki also would manage to snap him outta His Monster Transformation, but If she maybe left before this happened, could make a Bad end Where she would Return Just to See Mellow lost himself and became a full.monster. Good Future wise maybe as Mellow got older He adapted some of Samaras more mischievious traits. She taught him to be more assertive. Him proposing to her had to be discussed with so many people beforehand. Their children would be kinda Chaotic given some Monster traits but He would happy to finally do the Things His Family couldn't for him. Maybe even Provide for His Aunt so that she didn't Need These Bad Relationships.

Ahh the one Girl who probably Fight Mellow to get him Back from His Monster self. I can totally See Kore be determined even If it wouldn't work. Maybe even Punch him in the face. Even If Bad Future would occur she wouldn't give Up. Mellow Always wanted to be as strong as she seemed which Drew him near to her. And so in good Future maybe this time He wouldn't have the scar given she was maybe fast enough to Stop him from hurting himself. Anyways after He would follow her and try His best to win her affection. Given He realized after He saw those eyes how big His crush was. He had to ask a lot till Theo gave his okay to let him propose to her. Job wise I also feel again He would Take Up His Artist Work and get pretty popular with it. And I can See him Take up a slight Househusband Role. He would Support Kore how He can.

Mellow x Mizuki @kitty-is-chilling

I feel like in this case Mizuki was slightly responsible for Mellows face scar, not on purpose but maybe as she tried to defense herself from his monster form. But she then realized it was still Mellow and instead tried to help him. I feel like also she has it a bit easier to calm him down in his monster form... Like give him a peacefull talk and he will realize what he has to do.( I can see a angsty bad future where Mizuki kills him to release him if he didn’t manage to control it.) Anyways realizing Mellow grew so much each day and Mizuki stayed little she might have been slightly pouty about it but I feel like both take it with a smile. He proposed to her at the sunset of a temple visit I could see, which they did one new years. They probably have a big family given it was one of Mellows wishes, given his parents died early. He probably adapted some snarkyness from her but still stayed the most reasonable. He would probably actually become a writer in this futurre, of course he still uses his drawings in it as well.

I feel like given Lynette and Leroy are friends slightly, she got very early about Mellows transformation, the reason why he wasn’t eating meat and what was going on with him. (Unsure with bad future, maybe she would still search a cure for his monster side) She noticed how he was struggeling lately with keeping it under control and being more agressive. And so she and her friends had a plan to make it easier. It didn’t change much, he still broke loose and slightly damaged some stuff but Lynette could bring him back before he could hurt anyone aside himself. She still looks at his scar sometimes in worry but he says its fine. He proposed to her after a festival they went together the last graduation year. And I feel like She would be really supportive of him becomeing more confident but maybe sometimes he would catch her of guard. I feel like they have Chaotic kids.XD

Mellow x Emiko @danderechansworld​

I feel actually Emiko can’t do much against his monster form. Maybe with Empathy? unsure, would be hard so bad future is kinda likely. Just Mellow needs a snap and I don’t think Emiko would have the courage. Still if not maybe she gets Leroy and Henrys help then its maybe likely for good future. And its good Mellow becomes more confident after because Emiko is shy he gets into the protective BF role. And because he gets taller he can fill it well. He did take more time to propose, but tried to make it on a comfy ferriswheel date. Jobwise, he could be a Childrens teacher tbh. I can see him teach kids some drawing.

“Do I really have to get one?” Draco whined in the middle of the phone store, getting his very first cellular device.

“Yeah, man. It's 2008 and you still write letters. Plus, your bird took a shit on my car,” Blaine said matter-of-factly. He found it funny that Draco still used an owl post for communication; the only other person Blaine knew that still uses an owl is his 97 year old grandmother. And even she has a landline in her house. “It's just easier and quicker to use. Why wait a whole day for a letter when you can just text me and I’ll respond in two seconds?”

“I’ve never even used a wall phone, how do you expect me to use a bloody cell-phone, Blaine?” Draco was fidgeting in his seat as he waited for the store employee to finish, what was it called, a credit score? Muggles sure are weird.

She came back shortly with a small, black box that had a weird word on it. What the bloody hell is an iPhone? She explained how it turned on, all the applications it carried, and details about billing and more. Draco was still confused about the whole thing but Blaine said that he would help him understand it better.

“Well look at you, Dray. A modern wizard in America,” Blaine jokes. Draco played with the new device, working out all the kinks of it. He sent his very first text message to Blaine at that moment. Took him precisely 5 minutes to type out a very bland, simple ‘Hello. -Draco L. Malfoy’

It made Blaine laugh so hard that he held his stomach. “My god, we’re gonna have to work on your texting skills, man. First things first, you don't have to sign your name at the end of a text. I know it's you.” Blaine explained to Draco all the fundamentals of texting as they walked through the halls of Santa Marie.

Throughout the day, Draco shared his new number with his department. The more he shared his number, the faster he became at typing.

At the end of his shift, he went to a nearby restaurant where he usually picked up dinner —not one to know his way around the kitchen — and headed home.

It's been a good week for him; his mother had sent him a letter everyday, he finished setting up the guest room for Theo and Blaise, he has this new phone, and best of all, Y/N had not crossed his mind once.

Now he still hasn't accepted what she does in her free time, but also he realized that she’s not exactly harming him nor did she know what he was. He's usually busy with all the work he does, anyway. It was quite a sudden change of heart. But mostly, it was his mother that was able to talk to him and change his views.

My dearest son, had it been during the time before the war, I would have agreed with you. But you have to understand that things are different now. You're different now. Now I am not forcing you, but maybe you should just talk with her just once. If not, just ignore her. After all, she only lives next door.

When he read the letter, he could practically hear all of his friends telling him ‘She's right, you know.’ And deep down, he knew it too. So he went with her advice: ignore Y/N.

You’ve had a terrible week; your assistant manager forgot to count the inventory which meant she also forgot to make an order for inventory. A group of teens stole a bunch of little vials of oils you had put on display. And to top it all off, a man stood in front of your shop with signs that had biblical verses written on them, blocking the entrance way and essentially driving away any potential customers. You called security but they never came.

You were used to this happening, it's happened all your life. But that didn't mean that it didn't hurt. I'm not harming anyone, so why does this happen to me? Next week, your mother was flying in from Maine to look around the house to make sure nothing would ‘freak Stephanie out.’ 

Driving back home, you were just waiting to mix some bath salts in your tub, play music, and relax for the next couple of days. By sheer coincidence, as you pulled in you noticed your neighbor that you now knew as Draco pull into his driveway.

This week can't exactly get worse you thought as your legs carried you to his front door. With gentle knocks on the door, you waited patiently. Being rejected once more didn't bother you, but you at least wanted to hear him speak to you and try your chance to become better acquainted.

Draco opened his door, his tie was undone and he looked confusingly at you. “Can I help you?”

Panic overcame your senses and without thinking, you blurted out, “Do you hate me?” You noticed his shocked face as it was probably not something he expected to hear.

“Excuse me, what exactly are you talking about?” he asked in his entrancing British accent. It was too late to take it back, so you just kept going with it. “I’m sorry, but you moved in here four months ago and you seem to have made friends with everyone around here but for some reason, you won’t even say ‘hi’ to me. Did I offend you or something?” You sounded exhausted and sad. Not only at the week you just had, but how Draco wasn’t being so neighborly with you as he was with everyone else on the street. It bothered you so much to no end. And the most frustrating thing was that you didn’t understand why.

“Uh, I apologize that we haven’t been on speaking terms but I don’t think I have to talk to you now, do I?” Draco scoffed. Why is he being such a jerk? “I’m not saying that you have to talk to me, but it’d be nice if you could at least wave or something. But instead, you look at me funny and ignore me. It’s kinda rude.” 

“Merlin, you muggles are so temperamental.” Draco said under his breath. The word sounded funny to you.

“Muggles? Did you just call me a muggle?” The look on Draco’s face didn’t go unnoticed. He stared at you for a few moments, not saying anything. What does that mean? “Is that what you call Americans in the UK? Doesn’t really sound nice.”

Draco started laughing mockingly at you, his grip on his door tightening and knuckles turning white, “Look, I don’t understand what it is exactly you want from me but I will say this; the fact that you are so offended that I won’t acknowledge you is honestly quite fucking childish and if you couldn’t get the hint then I’ll say it plainly for you now. I don’t. Wish. To. Be. Friends. With. You. Got it?” and with that, he slammed the door in your face.

Groaning out, you yelled at him through his door, “Fuck you then! I don’t wanna be friends with some rude prick!” You ran to your door and slammed it pretty hard. The sudden noise frightened your cat and made her run from her tower into your room. What the fuck is his deal? 

You walked to your room, pissed off and tired. Looking up, you saw Draco in his room. You stared each other down before you walked up to your window to close your blinds, flipping him off before it fully closed. Afterwards, you took a regular shower and went to bed. Anger built up inside you, and for probably the first time, you hated another human being. And you had to live next to him for god knows how long.

“I mean, did you really have to say that to her?” Ian and Ashley had just listened to Draco explain what had happened the night before. Ian just sat in the chair eating his lunch as Ashley responded to him. “I know things might be different in England, but you should’ve given her a chance. She could be nice. I have a couple No-Maj friends on my block.”

“I’m on Ash with this. Is it really all because she’s Wiccan? Be honest, Dray,” Ian chipped in. At that point, Draco didn’t really know what to say. He thought he could look past it, but he couldn’t. “Maybe, yeah. I come from two families that had very strict traditions and views of muggles. I thought I dropped those views but seeing first hand what they do and-”

“And it makes you feel like a freak? Because you’re a real wizard that can do magic and they sit in some weirdly drawn circle and ‘do’ magic?” Ashley finished Draco’s sentence, making quotation marks with her hands. “I get it, I really do. I was offended too when I had to read about No-Maj’s doing this during school. And then to see movies where witches are viewed as ugly, green-skinned hags with warts on her face and wear rags for clothes. Kinda brings you down as a kid. But I got over it. You should, too.” Ashley held Draco’s hand for a bit before she grabbed her coffee mug and left for her appointments.

Ian sat quietly, watching as Draco was sinking in everything he was advised. “Look man, it’s not really my business to be telling you what you should or shouldn’t like, and who you should or shouldn’t like. And you know what, you’re not exactly in the wrong to get mad about what happened. After all, she just kinda picked a fight with you out of nowhere.” Draco had a face that looked as if he was saying ‘Right? I’m not crazy here’

“But,” of course there’s a ‘but’, “from what I hear around the street, Y/N’s really nice. Super weird for sure, but an overall nice person. I think you should think about it.” Ian nodded at Draco before joining Ashley out of the breakroom. Draco sat there, thinking about what his friends said and also thought back to his mother’s letters. I’m such a child. And I’m the one that called her childish. If he was honest, you were but it didn’t make him better.

He knew what he was going to do after work. It pained him to have to apologize to someone. Apologizing wasn’t something he was exactly used to doing. He’s only done it once to Harry and his friends nearly three years after the Battle. He didn’t even really know what to say to you. But he’ll figure it out. Right?

You stood shocked at your doorstep, hands holding onto the sweater as you looked before you. “Mom, you’re here early.”

“I had been given an extra week off of work so I thought I’d just come and see my oldest baby before your brother and Stephanie comes. Also gives me a head start to plan our dinner and get this house situated,” your mother walked past you with her two large luggage cases and dropped them on your living room floor. She looked around the house and eyed all the decorations and pictures on the walls.

To her, everything was nearly normal. You had family pictures posted and some pictures of you and your friends from college. In the living room, you had a tapestry hung up behind your couch that used to belong to your grandmother. “Y/N please, will you take down that blanket? Why don’t you put up a picture of some flowers, or maybe something abstract?”

“Because I don’t want a picture of flowers and that’s not a blanket. It was Grandma’s. I want it hung up there. Ma, you gotta understand that it’s my house now.” Your arms were crossed due to the cold. You had the day off and tried to spend it well as you did your cleansing spell in the morning, but it seems that it wasn’t very effective seeing as your mother came in and immediately started nitpicking everything.

“It was cute in your room when you were a kid. But you’re 26 now. How would your boyfriend feel if he walked in here and thought ‘oh, didn’t know I was dating a 16 year old.’” Her constant criticism was nearly pushing you to the edge. “Ma, I don’t really want to argue with you tonight so I’m just going to bed-” a doorbell rang throughout the house and you were thanking whoever was listening for giving you a reason to walk away from your mother. 

As soon as you opened the door, you were met with another face that you weren’t exactly excited to see. “Can I help you?” you repeated Draco’s words from last night back at him in a spiteful tone.

Through gritted teeth, he looked at you and said, “I just wanted to tell you that I’m sorry for being an arse yesterday. I hope we can look past it and become well-acquainted neighbors.”

“Huh, you’re sorry? You don’t really sound it.”

“I know, I’m not really used to doing this,” Draco quipped. “But nonetheless, I would still like to apologize.”

“Yeah, whatever, I’m sorry too.” You were about to close the door until your mother came up and pushed the door completely open, “Honey, who’s at the door- oh! Hello, I’m Y/M/N. And you are?” She looked at Draco with the nicest smile that you had ever seen on her.

“Hello, My name’s Draco. Nice to meet you,” he awkwardly shook your mother’s hand. He didn’t smile, but he also didn’t have the usual scowl on his face when he would look at you. Guess he does have manners. “Y/N, is this a friend of yours?” your mother insinuated with a less than discreet wink. Without missing a beat, you replied, “No. Ma, this is my new neighbor. I just met him. But it’s late, so nice meeting you Draco. See you around.” And you closed the door.

“That was rude, Y/N. You should have invited him in. He’s very cute,” your mother grabbed her bags and headed into the guest room. From a distance, you could hear your mother speak to herself, saying ‘At least this room looks normal’. “It’s kinda late. Besides, we have all the time in the world to talk.” 

You walked to your small closet and grabbed the special bath salts for stress relief and walked to your bathroom. Starting to strip, your mother barged in. “Ma! Privacy, please!”

“Don’t be ridiculous, Y/N. I gave birth to you. Anyways, how long has it been since he moved in? Do you think he knows about your witchy stuff?” She asked as she stood by the door, checking her reflection as you continued to undress for your bath. “I don’t really hold a sign around my neck that says I’m a Wiccan, Mother,” you said with closed eyes. Your mother said, “I hope not. Night, baby,” and closed the door.

This is going to be a long three weeks.

The morning came and you woke up before your alarm and did your daily routine. The only difference was that your mother was going through your pantry looking for ingredients to make breakfast. “Morning, honey. Do you want some pancakes? I’ll make your favorites! It’s still blueberry, right?”

“No, that was Y/B/N. Mine are chocolate chip and peanut butter.” You said flatly as you grabbed your watering can. “Oh that’s right. But I already bought the blueberries.”

“That’s fine, they still taste good.” Your mother was satisfied with your response and started right away. You walked out to your front yard and watered your plants along the fence. The betony plants were beautiful, its sight was calming your nerves as you poured water over them. The sound of a door closing caused you to look up, watching Draco as he was standing in his yard with what seemed like a cigarette attached to his lips before he took it out and placed it onto an ashtray that was on his porch.

He walked over to the fence that separated your yards. The smell of the cigarette was in the air and it reminded you of your late father. “I meant it last night,” he mentioned his apology. You didn’t really know what to say so you just nodded and went back to watering your plants.

“But if I recall, you did start that fight,” he chuckled. You glared up at him for a few seconds before returning to your task. “Alright, I guess I’m sorry too.” Draco scoffed and just whispered ‘Whatever’ and walked away. “Wait,” you called for him before he walked back into his house and luckily, he stopped. “I’m sorry,” you said with sincerity. “Can we just start over?”

He stared at you, visibly contemplating your question then finally said, “Sure.” He walked into his house and you stood shocked in your yard. Your mother walked out and announced to you, “Honey! Breakfast is ready! Come on, I think your plants are watered enough.” With the snap of your screen door, you were released from your daze and walked inside. Maybe this week is turning around after all.

Draco sat in his room, not exactly sure what exactly happened. Was he really going to try and become friends with a muggle? He could imagine the look on his fathers face. Just because he had lost in the Battle, didn’t mean that he magically accepted muggles and muggle-borns. Narcissa didn’t like them much either but she also didn’t hate them as Lucius did.

This would shock not only his parents, but also his friends, Blaise and Theo. Merlin, the person that would probably have a field day about this would be Hermione Granger. He sat there, imagining Granger either laughing at him or cursing him after all the bullying he put her through. All those years of calling her a mudblood and he becomes friends with a muggle. A No-Maj. A Wiccan No-Maj. But then he thought about what Ian said at work. Y/N is really nice. Weird, but nice. And when he agreed to having a fresh start with you, he figured that it would give you a chance to prove him wrong about what you were like.

Or she could be exactly what I always thought muggles to be. Foolish.

Apparently Stefania was on Greys for like 3 seconds in the background of a scene so I missed it. She just brought in the pregnant woman that she was taking care of at the scene.

I want more of Carina/Emmett's friendship too! And hopefully we get some Maya/Travis in return. It'd be cool to see the four of them go out one night also. I do wonder if that conversation was foreshadowing anything. It's funny how we all thought Maya would get injured tonight at one point but then she wasn't involved much at all. I do feel like her time will come though. To get injured, that is.

I mean really, how many times is Beckett gonna make the wrong call or do something stupid and get away with it? He better get called out for this and I hope it leads to more about Maya's demotion. (Wishful thinking I'm sure.)

I wonder if Andy will become captain of Station 23. I have to be honest, I'm getting sick of that station and the fact that they're expanding it even more is not a good sign because it sounds like it's gonna be sticking around all season. Is Andy ever going to transfer back or what? Are Maya and Andy going to be captains of the two stations eventually? Who knows..

I really hope this clinic idea happens! Fingers crossed.

Vic/Barrett was amazing tonight. I do think this is going to obviously affect her and I wonder what it means for her relationship with Theo. Unfortunately it still means her storyline revolves around a man but there are men everywhere -_-. I'm with you on there being too many of them around.

I thought it was strange too how Maya never ended up at the hospital, though Sullivan didn't either so I guess it's because they were helping the Station 23 captain instead and never joined them. Seems like a weird choice though.

It did feel like old times with all the different combinations and interactions between the characters though, I really did like it despite the sadness and I hope next week we get more of the same!

OKAY! So, I had a thought the other day, since I’m a total sucker for the Alex vs Thomas fics, because truly, I love them both. So, I thought: let me make a fic where you could really choose who you, as the reader, want to be shipped with? Or, even better, can be BOTH! I hope that makes sense, because despite not having a real ending, I left it open so you can choose which man you want to go for, even though both are shown to have feelings for the reader? Okay, anyway, next thing. Where am I to ever figure out a plot for this fic, you ask? Well...I totally based this off an episode of The Office. I have NO regrets! DM me if you know what episode this if from hehe! Okay, sorry I’m rambling, enjoy! I love feedback, and let me know if you wanna be tagged!

The party was in full swing; with the sun setting and various kinds of alcohol being passed around, everyone was warm and giddy. People were dancing in the middle of the room, others were sitting at tables laughing. The top lights had been dimmed and replaced with flashing lights of different colors near the stage.

It was definitely a kind of party that Y/N wasn't used to.

Once the ceremony was over, they had moved inside and she hadn't left her seat since. John had left to go dance and Anjelica only came to talk to her every once in a while. Currently, Y/N was sipping on her straw and watching the crowd in front of her.

She was lost in her own thoughts and when she heard the chair beside her scrape across the tile floor, she jumped in her seat.

"Some party, huh?" Alexander sat and looked across the room before lookign at Y/N.

"Yeah, it's uh...it's nice," She shrugged and sat up in her chair, suddenly becoming nervous from the man being so close to her.

"I bet you twenty bucks that John ends up bellyflopping on a table," Alexander smirked as he watched his friend do shots with Hercules and Lafayette.

Y/N scoffed, "I bet you double that the three musketeers try and steal the swan over there."

They both laughed as Lafayette looked suspiciously at the ice sculpture in the corner, whispering to John and pointing accusingly.

"You know what, I don't doubt that," Alexander folded his hands behind his head as he leaned back. "So, when are we going to see those dance moves? A little birdie told me that you can swing pretty good."

Y/N rolled her eyes, "Whoever told you that was a liar, I've never danced in my life." Alexander obviously wasn't buying the lie as he looked up at the ceiling and groaned.

"That's not true, I know you can at least do a shimmy!" Alexander raised a brow teasingly as she gave a glare.

"That's what you want to see? A shimmy? How classy." Y/N tossed her hair over her shoulder and ducked her head, oblivious to the way Alexander was looking her up and down adoringly.

"So, I was thinking-" Alexander was cut short by the burst of excitement from Eliza, who wrapped her arms around his shoulders and giggled.

"I am loving this venue," Her eyes were lit up in excitement, Y/N always wish she had her attitude of constant positivity and bliss. "I'm so glad we got to come!"

Alexander looked up at her with a soft smile, caressing her arm with his hand. He looked peaceful, looked at Eliza with adoration. Something lovingly.

Something Y/N would never have with him.

"You know this could fit maybe another fifty people, Alex? It would be a perfect place to hold another wedding don't you think?" Eliza rambled on and on and Y/N had to sip on her drink in order to keep her mouth shut. She couldn't stand that they were talking about their hypothetical wedding in front of her, not that they could know that it bothered her that much. They couldn't understand that Y/N was pained every time they kissed, or every time they called each other cute pet names. They didn't understand that she aches for Alexander and his warm hands and witty smile.

They didn't understand that she craved something she could never have.

Before they could talk about their future even more (if she heard the names of their children, she might explode), Aaron came over and clapped Alexander on the shoulder. Eliza gave him a hug and a wide smile.

"Glad you could all make it," Aaron smiled and kissed the top of Y/N's head.

"Congratulations, Aaron! This really is a beautiful set up!" Eliza smiled at him as Y/N put her drink down.

"Yeah? I thought it would be too much, but this is what Theo wanted, and if it makes her happy, then I'm happy." It was so sappy that Y/N wanted to punch him in the face.

Screw everyone being in love and happy, I want that, too.

An upbeat song started playing and Eliza gasped, "I love this song! Alex, babe, come dance with me!" She took his hand and pulled him to the dance floor. Alexander went easily, smiling at Eliza with such passion.

Y/N had to admit, she had never seen Alexander happier than now. Ever since the two started dating, he smiled more and was high spirited, he even took days off from work, could you imagine?

She must of had a somber look on her face because Aaron placed a hand on her shoulder and looked down at her with a sympathetic look in his eyes. "You okay?"

Y/N nodded, "I'm fine..."

Aaron pursed his lips, but nodded nonetheless. He knew about her feelings, at least that's what he thought it was. To Y/N, it was something that grew incredibly.

She used to only imagine what his lips would feel like, imagined what it would be like with his arm around her shoulder. Now, she imagined how he would look in the morning, when the sun would wrap around his skin. She imagined if he would whisper to her late at night, when the world was quiet. She imagined what he was like when he just came back from work, if he would be all grumpy, or if he'd want to take a shower, or if he'd just wrap his hands around her waist and give her a kiss on the neck and tell her about his day.

But she didn't tell anybody that, of course not. Because it didn't matter. He probably did all those things with Eliza anyway.

"Well, I'm gonna give Laurens some water before he knocks something expensive over," Aaron tapped the chair and went to walk away, but Y/N called his name.

"Congratulations, I'm really happy for you," She smiled and he returned it before walking away.

The song switched to something slow and Y/N kept her eyes on her cup, refusing to look up because she knew her eyes would land on Alexander holding Eliza close as they swayed slowly.

Yet, temptation fought her, and the moment she looked up she saw them. Alexander was resting his cheek against Eliza's, whispering something in her ear. Her arms were wrapped tightly around his neck and their bodies were closer than imagined.

Moments passed and she was still watching them, a mix of envy and guilt resting in her chest. Suddenly, Alexander's gaze found hers and she quickly looked away, pretending like nothing happened.

Footsteps approached her and she saw Thomas walk over, waving softly. "There you are,"

"Hey, Thomas," She sighed, hoping that he didn't notice the way her mood changed, how she was totally different than earlier that afternoon, when they talked in the courtyard briefly, his smart charm making her laugh.

"Well, don't sound so excited to see me," He raised a brow and sat in the chair Alexander had previously been in.

"No, sorry...just- it wasn't at you," Y/N rubbed her temples and sighed again, looking up at him and giving a half smile. "Sorry."

"No worries," Thomas smirks and lays his arm on the back of her chair. "Nice ceremony, huh?"

"Yeah, it was beautiful," She never been to a beach wedding before, and while she didn't appreciate the sand in her shoes, she liked the fresh air. She wouldn't mind having a beach wedding one day, if she found someone who she could spend the rest of her life with, someone who appreciates her and listens and laughs with her and loves her.

Once again, her eyes fall on Alexander, and she pushes the thoughts away.

Thomas follows her eyes and clears his throat, "You want to dance?" He holds out his hand, and Y/N is hesitant before she takes it.

He has big hands, promising hands. They hold her own with such care, and as he lead them to the dance floor, his grip staying the same.

Thomas wrapped one arm around her waist and held her own hand with his other. Y/N held onto the back of his shoulder with her free hand, and for a while they just held each other close.

Y/N could feel his breath near her ear, his fingers finally intertwining with hers. It made her stomach flip, not used to such affection. She leaned against him and laid her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes.

It was peaceful.

While others around them danced in a soft sway, they moved slowly in a circle, more focused on each other's warmth than the actual dance. As Y/N buried her face into his neck, she could hear him swallow. She hoped he was feeling what she was feeling.

Seconds passed, maybe minutes or hours, she couldn't tell, too lost in the tempo of the song in the background mixed with the safe feeling she had. Suddenly, Thomas was pulling back, licking his lips and looking at her with soft eyes.

"Y/N, do you want to get out of here?" He asked nervously, she'd never heard him sound so shaky. Looking into those dark orbs, she knew that he held promise, of what, she didn't know yet. But, she'd like to find out.

"Yeah," Y/N whispered and he nodded firmly. He took their untwined hands and lead them back to her table, gathering her purse and saying goodbye to the others at the table. As they headed for the door, she looked back to the dance floor to find Alexander looking back at her.

It made her pause; he looked unsure, eyebrows raised and mouth parted slightly.

Y/N would like to think that one day, he would try. He would stop distracting himself with work and worrying about what's next. He would sit down and have an honest conversation about them and that he would let her see that vulnerability that he hides so well. She'd like to think that they would be the one dancing right now, or even the ones sneaking out.

It was too late.

She mentally shook herself as she blinked, looking away and walking out of the reception, the look of what seemed to be heartbreak on Alexander's face.

A summary of Dimension 20′s A Crown of Candy

So this takes place in Candyland, right? Kinda like the board game, but not, because this is a different board game. They are neighboring like Fruit Land and Vegetable Land. God help us if they go to Meat Land.

Candyland is ruled by the Rock Candy People. I think they’re the main characters. There’s Daddy Rocks, who I think is Amethar, and a Dead Mama Rocks, who I think is dead. There’s also two of our pcs, Ruby Maybe and Rocks 2.

Our other pcs are as follows: a chocolate rabbit who worships a turnip, Lupin; a gummy bear who I think is named Theo (he is confusing and vague); the skinny dude from Candyland, Liam, who is apparently precious; and like I think a rat. Am I thinking of the wrong series?

So our story begins when Daddy Rocks is all “Hey kids do you want to go do some things?” and Ruby Maybe is like “No I want to be a clown” and Rocks 2 is like “Whatever, I’m the edgy one”. 

A quest begins. 

But going with Ruby Maybe and Rocks 2 is Theo, who has a sword. Who gave a gummy bear a sword? He’s going to cut his damn arm off, and I’m sure that’s the worst thing that’s going to happen to anyone in this party. 

Lupin the Turnip Man is all “Hey lemme come too, I’m spiteful and rude” and Liam is all “I wanna worship the Turnip, teach me how to worship the Turnip” and Lupin is all “Uh no”. They are friends. 

They all meet up because this is a dnd show, and off they go on adventure!

Oh no, a plot to overthrow the king! They must solve this!

But first? A tournament! Because that’s the most important thing at the moment. 

So they do a tournament. But during the tournament, some Fruit Kingdom Lads come up and are like “Hey we’re gonna kill the king” and some shit goes down. 

Liam saves the day though, because he’s Liam. And a main character.

So our party gets a nice reward, and they decide to Keep Doing Things. 

Lupin dies! Oh no! But I think he was actually okay with it. He saw the Turnip, and smiled. 

So we get a new party member! He is a hot cotton candy man named Wispy. He does not wear a shirt. 

Wispy decides to join everybody, because what better way is there to overcome grief than to just steal a hot man and run with him?

Ah, but then Rocks 2 dies. It’s sad, and I think she dies protecting her sister? Maybe? Ruby Maybe is Not Happy. 

Our new party member is the Hottest Goddamn Person In The World, Saccharina Frostwhip, who I know because I am physically gay. 

Okay but while all this dying and shit is going on, there’s like? Political Intrigue going down? 

Someone still wants to overthrow the king, who I am beginning to think is not Amethar, and it’s up to our party to stop them.

Except our party is kinda split on the whole thing. Half of them want to fight with Amethar or whoever, the other half want to fight against Amethar or whoever.

Are we getting pvp? Maybe!

Meanwhile meanwhile there is a cheese man. I think he replaced the rat. He’s secretly a spy for the Dairy Kingdom across the mountains, who have an interest in this conflict.

All the kingdoms do, actually. Because what better time to expand your territory than when the royal family is dead?

So as our heroes argue and philosophize, Wispy decides to just fuck off and go live in the mountains and learn the true meaning of life. He’s a monk, so he’s allowed to do that. 

And because the Turnip has gotten sick and tired of Lupin, he’s sent back to the world of the living, much to the fandom’s rejoicing. He’s got an eyepatch and a vengeance, and he wants to teach Liam to worship the Turnip right so the Turnip doesn’t get sick of him when he inevitably dies.

Wow, there’s a lot of dying in this show, isn’t there?

After a few misadventures involving the Broccoli Forest and the pitfalls of Licorice Swamp, it’s time for the final battle!

It’s almost pvp, but suddenly the Power of Friendship shines through and our heroes band together to kick the everloving shit out of the bad guys.

Reflections, I’m sorry, but as much as I love Padma/Theo, the story has just kinda fallen flat for me. I’m just not interested anymore, especially as I’ve written some of it into my Louis/Anamika story. But I will comeback to the family, just no one be surprised if it gets taken down from Ao3 or changed drastically.

Angst and sometimes fluff, my last three major stories all had quite a bit of angst. I just feel like I write sad characters best, but it’s also the reason why I have trouble writing some ships.

Smut, and fluff sometimes. I just don’t have much experience writing smut and it’s hard to find well written smut. And fluff can be hard to nail, just because it is so light and nice, it’s hard to find the balance between good and cheesy when it comes to both fluff and smut.

18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I have done it in several fics, and it’s mostly about doing your research and being willing to go back and change mistranslations when told that it’s wrong. Also making sure to put the translations in, I hate it when fics don’t do that.

This dance is GOLD

I have watched this dance more than I can count and I feel like I know every details. We all know that Sidney and Charlotte didn’t do the dance like the other couples and I wanted to share with all of you everything that I've noticed with GIFs. I don't know if someone have already done it but here's my little analysis. 

Here, is the moment right after they do the thing where they bring their palms together. If you look at the couple in the back we can see the lady’s arm going down and as the camera turns we can see all the men’s arms behind their back. While Charlotte and Sidney take each other's hand.

Their hands. I swear this dance is all about their hands, you’ll see. So I have two or three other GIFs about their hands but this one is the most important. I think we all know that they are not supposed to be hand in hand and that’s why we have this shot. If you look at every other couples during the dance we can see that the men support the ladies right hand. So Sidney was supposed to give the back of his hand to Charlotte and not an opened hand. It shows how much Sidney wants to be intimate with Charlotte and open with her. I think it can be a metaphor of Sidney ready to open his heart to her.

I love this shot. Here we can see the intimacy of every couple by the space between their bodies. Let’s take a look to the couple in the back on the right with the lady wearing the red dress (kinda orange on my gif). There’s a lot of space between them which makes me think that they don’t know each other. So the personal space is not crossed. Now, let’s take a look to the couple right in the middle in the back with the lady wearing the white dress. I would say that they know each other but not in an intimate way. There’s space between them but not as big as the previous couple. We can say these two things for pretty much every couples except for one. Sidney and Charlotte. Where is their personal space? It looks like Sidney grabbed her and glued her to him. Also, their hands!

Sidney, stop! Okay, so I love this moment! We’re gonna take a look to the same couples as the previous GIF. Right on the left we have the couple who I presume don’t know each other. Do you see how the man holds the lady’s hands? He holds them very heigh and very close to her with outstretched arms. Again, personal space. And he puts his left arm behind his back. The other couple in the middle, the man holds the woman’s hands lower than the previous man and more close to him and puts his left arm behind his back. Now, Sidney and Charlotte. Sidney holds Charlotte’s hands to his stomach (so she can feels the butterflies in his stomach. Just kidding...?) So he holds her hands to his stomach and keeps them in his hands longer than the other men. Longer than he doesn’t have the time to put his left arm behind his back. Then when they take each other’s hands, Sidney makes a few steps towards Charlotte, while the other men stay put. Another proof of Sidney’s feelings for Charlotte. He is so ready to love her and to be loved by her during this dance.

Here’s two GIFs about their hands. Like I said, they are not supposed to take each other’s hands like that. If we look at the couples in the back, we see that the ladies hands are simply ON the men’s hands.

Okay, so you are going to hate me for this one. I hate myself for this one. So first, I love how they take each other’s hands here. See, their hands. Again. And now, for the part where you are going to hate me. Take a look right on the left in the corner... Yep. We see Eliza’s arrival... (we see her in the previous GIF too). Alright, let’s forget about that. To the next one!

Another ‘hands GIF’. We can perfectly see the other couple’s hands behind them and how the lady’s hand is. If you look closer, you can see Sidney and Charlotte bumping each other’s thumb while taking each other’s hands. I noticed it while making the GIF and thought it was cute. I also spotted Lord Babington on the right. It’s very quick.

Of course, I have to mention the famous “I'm-to-busy-staring-at-my-future-wife-to-distant-her-from-me-and-lead-her-into-the-last-spin-of-this-dance-so-I'll-put-her-hand-on-my-heart-instead-PS-leave-us-alone!” moment. This moment is so precious. And the way how the other couples moves before the spin it looks like Sidney and Charlotte have had stopped to ‘dance’ for awhile now.

The dance is over and Sidney is not ready to let go of Charlotte’s hands. Look how he looks at his empty hands. He looks so sad about it. Plus, look how he clenches his jaw! I don’t know if it’s a Theo thing or a Sidney thing but he did it a few times through the season and I’ve always had a thing for actors doing it but that’s another story.

And to finish, let’s talk about that moment. It’s right after Sidney notices Eliza. Do you see what he is doing with his hands? There's the obvious reason, he does it to simply thanks Charlotte for the dance. But we can see it in a different way. Sidney touched and hold Charlotte’s hands for the first time. For three or four minutes he was in his bubble with her. He couldn’t take his eyes and hands off her. For a few minutes it was just them with no one around. But now he is back to the reality with his ex in front of him. So to me, the way he holds his own hand, it is to hang on to what he just lived and felt. He wants to remember Charlotte’s touch in his hands forever because he’s afraid of what will come next with the return of his ex. Also, we can see it as the metaphor that we had earlier at the beginning of the dance when he takes Charlotte’s hand. Now it can be a metaphor of Sidney closing his heart because he is lost, confused and doesn’t want to be hurt again. Besides, we can see Charlotte doing pretty much the same thing. She touches her left fingers with her right hand. It is very similar to what Sidney is doing but yet so much different. While Sidney closes his entire hands, Charlotte touches only her fingers with her hands wide open. So I think for her, it’s a “pinch-me” kinda thing to remember Sidney’s touch on her hands. To remember what she felt while dancing with the man that she had just realized she was in love with.

Okay, so I’m done now. I’m sorry it was this long. I hope some of you were interested by all of this and by how I see this scene. Maybe I overthink too much but I love this show and Sidney and Charlotte so much!

Hi, Ben!  Sending this this way because it’ll probably (definitely) be too long for an ask.  That whole Venom/TW has me cackling and wishing I’d seen Venom and could visualize it better. 

Also totally picturing Peter’s wolf manifesting a la Venom (I see this in a lot of fanart, don’t know how often it happens in the film), and it’s this little black wolf-like creature somewhere between his alpha form and a regular wolf, with glowing blue eyes and a slightly too long panting tongue.

Also, an internal (hopefully) argument:  (Peter and Noah talking while waiting to see the mayor.)

Wolf:  PEEEETTEEEERRRR… WE WANT THIS ONE PETERRR…

Peter:  No, love.

Wolf:  BUT HE JUST SMELLS SO GOOD, PETER…

Peter:  No, this is neither the time nor the place.

Wolf:  JUST ONE LITTLE TASTE, PETER…

Peter:  For the last time, not right now!

Wolf:  PLEAS-

Peter:  NO!!

(How much of this Noah can follow or is confused by is up to you.)

Also, I don’t know the specifics of what drives the lobster scene, but I’m just picturing stuff like Peter randomly grabbing squirrels out of trees to munch on, or wandering into the Sheriff’s station and forcibly climbing into Noah’s lap (he usually remembers to shut the office door at least, and if any of the deputies notice they’re just like “fucking Beacon Hills, man”, so once Noah figures out how to do his paperwork around the wolf in his arms he just rolls with it), or being the one to bring in Erica and Isaac because his wolf was trying to be helpful and “THIS ONE SMELLS SICK, TOO!” (Isaac tries to insist he’s fine, but the wolf just keeps yelling “SADNESS IS ALSO A SICKNESS!”).  Having occasional arguments with the wolf that just because Chris and Allison smell vaguely like Kate, it doesn’t mean he can kill them.

Also, if Laura wants to play at being alpha now, I hope she plans on apologizing for abandoning her uncle and leaving him to die instead of taking him along so that they could heal him together and not let him stay trapped in a haze of grief and rage and agony for years.  And somebody needs to do that claw ritual thing if only to ask Talia “hey, quick question. What the actual, ever-loving fuck?” re: all the memory stealing.

Anyway, even knowing as little about one of the sources as I do, I second that the idea is hilarious, and has definitely helped distract me from the fact that my phone decided not to charge overnight and was dead as a brick this morning, and the resulting anger issues.

I’m feeling a lot better today pain wise today, it def feels like my body kinda caught up like; wait a second.. we’re not supposed to be doing this anymore. I mean it’s still there just not painful.

As for the Venom thing. GIMME!! I hadn’t considered it physically manifesting like that but that would honestly be really funny. I personally thought of it more as a spectral image of his wolf form that appears and that only he can see. 

(Because Venom manifesting can be seen by everyone around Eddie, and I honestly think it’s a lot funnier to have a spectral wolf bugger Peter because that would make him seem more deranged.)

Noah (and the rest of the room, lol) only heard the last NO! and everyone is kinda staring at him at that point so he has to find a quick way to make that seem sense.

Peter: “Don’t try the deviled eggs they’re honestly not that good.” 

*Cue an entire room of people eyeing the eggs suspiciously.*

Noah has to hold his laughter because holy shit that was both the worst and best thing he’s ever seen. It’s a good thing he likes this asshole.

The lobster scene in Venom is mostly about Eddie trying to show Anne (his ex) what’s going on. So in this case it would be Peter trying to show Noah or Chris who set the fire and that he has proof and people should listen to him but he’s rattling to something nobody else can see and people think he’s lost his mind. And honestly just so HUNGRY. So he randomly grabs a squirrel out of tree and starts eating it raw/alive. 

People are DISTURBED. Especially Stiles/Liam/Allison. And Peter’s just eating and rattling and has pure chaotic energy and someone has to get him to calm down. So either Chris or Deaton or maybe Noah has to come in and get Peter to let go of the squirrel and come back inside for a nap.

And yes, that is Dan carrying Eddie out in a deleted scene. So imagine Chris, Deaton, or Noah having to do that for Peter.

And oh god I can just imagine all the fucking deputies being like; “Oh hey Hale, yeah door’s open, it’s fucking Beacon Hills, go right in.”

Bahahahaha omg that’s the best.

Noah’s so tired but he’s so used to the snugglewolf, he allows it.

And Laura has sooooo much to atone for but she knows that and I feel like she’d try her best to do so. She knows she fucked up, she knows what she did was horrible. And she tries to atone, she apologizes and tries to be there for Peter now. (I also feel like Laura was like, 17? When the fire occurred. So in a way she was a kid too. It doesn’t excuse her but I also understand her.)

And oooh boy.... Talia will be questioned so much by Peter and her kids. The amount of anger and resentment they share over their mother/sister. They will chew her out in the memories. And when they figure out Jackson and Malia are Hales too, oooooffff. Haven’t decided who their father is in this universe though. A part of me wants to say Chris, because that’s who I usually default to, but it might also be fun to consider Noah?

For extra pain: Talia stole one last memory of Peter and Noah and the birth of their youngest son Theo. For consideration. Don’t know if i’d put that in but if you want to amp up all the drama, there’s a way to do that.

Anyway this ask has me coming up with all sort of wonderful ideas while I wait for the delivery of my Christmas present. (Spiderman Miles Morales). And I thought I’d share before I tackle your other submission. Feel free to add anything or send more asks if you want. <3

I'm back for the third time. Sorry if I'm annoying you with all my questions, I just think you have a fun way of answering. Thank you for answering them. (Also who else can we talk to about the Hardie boys lol) I agree with a lot of your points about Titus! He's indeed charming. This time I wanna ask; I noticed you ship Titus/Glen, and not just ship it, but it's your favorite ship. Why? Also I saw your post about backstories, Do you have any HC backstories for the HBs?

Trust me I enjoy talking about DA BOYS so it's no bother at all 💜

Hmm guess I'll start with the backstory question cuz then it's easier to explain the ship lol

Long post and spoilers ahead, obviously.

Alain basically has the most "backstory". We know he spent his entire life in and out of prison, being a part of gangs and basically fighting the system cuz he's edgy. (I kid. I love u Alain.) I guess things got really bad for him so he fled to Martinaise where he eventually met Titus and became a part of the Hardie boys.

Theo seems to be a veteran of sort. He's good with guns, he was the original leader of the Hardie boys, and he doesn't hesitate to put a bullet through you. His personality to me says that he's been through some shit that made him a little cold and somewhat detached.

Angie is probably just a kid who wanted to fit in. He had skills that benefit the group, and benefit them he did. But seeing how he lacks self-esteem and confidence, and how he suffers from severe anxiety, I would say Angie lived a life of being picked on and made to feel worthless, which clearly the Hardie boys try to fight and reassure him that he is important and loved.

Shanky just sounds like a fuckin thug to me idk what he's doing here. He's an actual asshole.

Eugene... big mystery. I honestly think about his story a lot but we literally have little to nothing to go on except his guitar pick. And he does play cuz sometimes he'll say he wishes he had his guitar:

My first thought about him was that he's probably not from Martinaise, but maybe he was a travelling musician or something and just has no where else to go. But also the fact that he's a good detective makes me think there's more to him than meets the eye. He's introverted, quiet, and honestly he might as well be a spy. Who fuckin knows. I think that its kind of weird when you notice the plectrum you say "forget it it's not important" but the fact that it was mentioned made me think it's actually very important, maybe it is to him. Maybe there's a certain skill that tells you why. If someone knows something, please tell me 😔 I love Eugene and I wanna know more about him

Glen and Titus: I think they have history. At least I like to think so. I imagine them being childhood friends. Two kids with big dreams, wanting to be something greater than this broken life they had.

Glen: I think Glen grew up in an abusive and neglectful house hold. Probably alcoholic dad, The type who threatens to gut you if you're not their image of right. The type that drilled certain ideas into Glen's head, a certain image of being a man. So when Glen realized he's not THAT kind of man, it really fucked him up. Gay, in denial, in an abusive home. It festered a lot of anger in him which eventually led him to being the unhinged "crazy homo" we see now. The guy is made of self loathing, depression, repressed homosexuality, and anger.

Titus: I think Titus had a military figure father or something like that, someone who made him feel very responsible. So he had to be "the man of the house" pretty early in his life, and look after his little brother.

He seems to have really just done a lot in his life, and he has the scars to prove it. Very ambitious, maybe a bit too ambitious that he's reaching for the sun and now he got burned. But he's clearly a fighter!

All the boys probably met through mutual interests, or at the work site. Eventually Theo might have grown too old so the leadership moved to Titus. They've been doing this for 10 years after all.

Why did the group form in the first place? I think there was a threat to Martinaise that was big enough for the group to be made. Maybe there were just way too many gangs and there was so much chaos. If Martinaise is bad now, imagine how terrible it must have been before the Hardie boys. The way Eugene describes it, it was pretty shitty

With that said, why do I like Titus/Glen?

Well first I'm a sucker for best friends to lovers trope.

Second, all the Hardie boys are close enough to shoot you on sight if you bully any of them, but Titus and Glen are obviously even closer than that. Titus loved Glen a lot, despite how "crazy" and unhinged he was. Though we personally don't see Glen at his best, and we only get hints about his chaotic personality, Titus saw something special in him. Something other than him being batshit crazy. And I like to think that Titus was his anchor that kept him from going completely psycho.

Titus is also the one who knows about Glen being gay, whether it's cuz Glen told him or because Titus just knows him that well.

Do I think Glen is as crazy as they make him sound? No. I think he's just a sad repressed gay who was exposed to too much violence, whether it was inflected on him, or just around Martinaise in general, which in turn made him aggressive and violent too. But Titus saw that Glen could use that for good, and use it for good he did. Plus, Titus is able to calm Glen down fairly easily and we see that a few times. All he has to say is "It's okay, Glen" and this bitch's demons are fuckin tamed.

Not to mention Glen kinda goes off whenever you say that Titus likes Klaasje, because naturally he's jealous. I don't mean that cuz he likes Titus or anything, it's because when you're someone like Glen and you meet someone who loves you with all your fucked up flaws, you kind of become clingy. He doesn't want to lose Titus even as his friend. The thought of Titus being close to someone else just grinds his gears.

The two of them just seem to have a strong connection, and they're each other's comfort. Titus sees Glen for the man inside the hard shell, and loves him despite his flaws. And Glen loves Titus just as much, because how can he not? He is loyal to Titus, and maybe I can even say he's even a good friend cuz something about him made Titus choose him over everyone else.

I love these two both as a platonic ship and as a romantic ship. They're positive but in a tragic way. Their (b)romance and love is unconditional. To meet someone who loves you and wants you to be a part of their life despite how chaotic you can be, despite how messed up you can be, it's a miracle and something we all wish we could have.

There's just no denying that they were incredibly close whether platonically or more.

I just think that's very cute and it's a powerful bond.

It's a lot like how Kim brings out the best in Harry and how he's his safe harbor

Glen's death almost brought Titus to tears (if he hasn't cried when he was alone of course)

Well Titus is to Glen what Kim is to Harry basically, except he's been that for a lot longer. If you had someone who is willing to go to hell and back with you, and die for you... what more could you ever need from someone?

It's just that, pure unconditional love, and a strong foundation of friendship that could make potentially the best of lovers.
