I don't know if you've answered this before (and sorry if you have) but how does Sunset leaving/coming back work as a god in equestria? Sunburst not knowing his concept means he can't 'grow' yet Sunset seemed to appear fully/atleast kinda grown even though it seems like she had no idea shed become a goddess, so does the time difference between the two realms mean she can grow exponentially? When she leaves does the concept she represents also disapear/lessen? How do the people think of a goddess who appears for a short time compared all the other princesses? CAN she go back??? I'm sorry but her going back and forth between the two is so interesting to me and I'd love of you could answer

sunset shimmer is honestly more of a shitpost than a real aspect of equestria. you can browse the whole Sunset Shimmer tag here, and here it is in chronological order.

because time works differently, she full ascended in the human realm without ever realizing she was ascending, since they don't have gods over there. Her pony form changed, while her human form did not. Her human powers escalated, but her appearance was the same.

When she steps through the portal into her pony body, she finds that form has changed dramatically. It's pretty overwhelming, so she doesn't visit often.

When she is present, her aspect (rebirth and redemption) grants magic to all who go through it. A selfish horse realizing the true meaning of christmas can suddenly melt snow and restore life to her environment through the power of Becoming a Better Person.

When Sunset is gone, that magic no longer happens. Becoming a better person is good, but it doesn't make you all glowy glowy light beams and healing aura all over the place.

The Goddess of Redemption is celebrated and worshipped, but society is aware that she only returns "when she is needed most"

INESCAPABLE

The story where everyone is doomed from the start. (Ft. FATEBREAKERS) Chara (they/it) - SOUL of Pain Plaster (he/they) - SOUL of Patience Omlet (she/they) - SOUL of Kindness Talon (he/him) - SOUL of Bravery Oxalis (they/them) - SOUL of Justice Sonata "Breve" Stardust (she/her)- SOUL of Integrity Litany (he/him)- SOUL of Perseverence Frisk (they/them) - SOUL of Pain Bear witness to my takes on the six fallen humans! I love these silly lil fellas. My main focuses have been envisioning "UNDERTALE: Open Wound", of which Plaster is the protagonist, and "UNDERTALE: Simmer Down", of which Omlet is the protagonist, but I've got ideas for everyone else too. Which I will detail down here lets gooo; Plaster is an anxious overthinker, thinking that they're always doomed. His patience manifests as analysing his enemy's patterns and behaviour, waiting for the right moment to strike... Either emotionally or physically. Omlet is a rude, abrasive person, who thinks the kindest, most selfless thing they can do to people is tell them exactly what she's feeling. Though she seems distant, she does have a warm and caring side- expressed through their cooking. Talon is a very plucky individual, whose bravery manifests as completely pushing down all fear and pretending that he's fine when he's really not fine. He projects outwardly a very cool, calm and collected persona, never breaking a sweat at anything. This trait of his just might be the death of him, as he moves on ahead with reckless abandon- never asking for help, when that just might've saved him. Oxalis seems unemotional at a distance, but they do have occasional moments of goofiness that break through the cold facade. They play as a cowboy embodying justice to cheer themselves up, but it's really only made them seem slightly scary from a distance. Sonata "Breve" Stardust doesn't take shit from anyone. She stays true to herself, no matter what- with her rough-and-tumble-yet-oddly-elegant style. Though perhaps being unaccepting to changing the path one is barreling down is as much of a strength as it is a weakness. Litany is a caring and nurturing person, playing out the fantasy of being a doctor with a clipboard. Always writing down notes on his "clipboard" (journal), clutching onto it for dear life. He only really wants to help others, and he keeps going to achieve this goal no matter what. MISC NOTES: Sonata's form of "game" would likely manifest as a rhythm game sort of thing, justifying it in-universe as this "bizzare trend going around the underground." Stay with the groove, or die! (metaphorically) It's been my headcanon for nearly two years now that the "Red SOUL trait" is PAIN. It is not all too logical. I am sticking by my guns.

NAME LOGIC: I was inspired by Clover from UNDERTALE: Yellow being named after the fact that once pacified, the gun fires clovers. So, I extended this philosophy to everyone else- while also seeking to capture that odd jank the names "Chara" and "Frisk" have.

Plaster is named that because the knives turn into bandaids, and plaster is an alternative term for a bandage, or something that patches up a wound. Omlet is named that because the fire turns into omelettes, and I decided to shorten it for some reason. I think it's charming like this, though. If anyone else mentions how they "aren't really omlettes", i will sob. Talon is named that because that's the most convoluted way I could reference the concept of hands. Which is what the bravery soul phase attacks with. Oxalis is named that because Oxalis Tetraphylla is the official name for a four leaf clover. Though she probably uses Alis as a nickname. Sonata "Breve" Stardust is named that bc the musical notes eventually heal you. a Sonata is a form of music, a Breve is a type of note, and she attacks with some stars. it's also sort of an Equestria Girls reference whoopsie. She's the only one with a lastname bc I feel like "Breve" captures the sort of janky charm I want, but Sonata is a name that I just found legitimately really pretty Litany is named that because that's the most convoluted way i could say "words", in reference to how the soul phase... attacks you with words. It means a funeral procession recited for the dead, but also something that's overly long and needs to be practiced several times- exactly like the cycle of the fallen humans. Or a long and lengthy ramble, like an indecipherable journal.

DESIGN NOTES: I really wanted each of the fallen humans to use their trademark items in an unusual fashion- or just generally "break the mold" a little, ie having Omlet be a rather rude seeming person, while most personify kindness to be a gentle little angel. So, I'll go into that just a smidgen more here. Instead of wearing the Faded Ribbon like an actual ribbon in his hair, Plaster wears it like a bowtie. Omlet wears the apron around her waist, since she's outgrown it but it still holds quite a lot of sentimental value. Most people just?? forget that the worn bandanna is supposed to go around your neck?? since it's got abs drawn on it, and it's like, the whole joke is that it's supposed to look like you have abs- It's a hat. Sonata was such a fun design to make for me. Everyone always chooses to make Integrity a dainty little ballerina girl, so I chose to give Breve a whole-ass varsity jacket. She looks like she'd beat you up and I love it. My logic for Litany's design was entirely "okay... who wears glasses... and takes notes- DOCTOR". So that's what I did. Chara and Frisk were difficult for me to redesign. My friend Cacote suggested Chara be wearing an oversized sweater alongside messy hair, which I quite like. Plus, their hairstyle is a partial reference to Chara from Fanontale, which is always cool. They look adorable. My friend Cacote suggested Frisk be wearing some bizzare fashion, somewhat akin to futuristic clothing. This manifested as me... giving them a weird suit/trenchcoat combo. And a sticky bandage on their nose. They look kind of like a huge asshole, and I love it.

It's been a while since I posted on here, life gets to you sometimes!

Here are some more reimagines for The Apple Family, all keeping to their original design spare for a few tweaks and add ons. Read more for more info on the Verse!

The Apple Family in this Verse, much like in the show, is a big earth pony family spanning many generations throughout the moons. They are traditional, and strictly stick to routine, as evident by their daily chores and the Zap Apple Harvest. They love each other dearly and would do anything to keep themselves safe and sound.

After watching Brotherhoof Social, and Do Princesses Dream of Sheep?, I find it obvious that Orchard Blossom is something more than a one time joke. It seemed all too planned out to be an attempt to get to spend time with Applebloom, or a mean joke to poke fun at men/boys who want to dress and act femininely. In my AU (still searching for the right name for the verse), Orchard Blossom is a transwoman, rocking multiple southern-belle hairstyles and accessories with the help of Rarity. She does not have to deal with bigot ponies for her gender expression, as being trans is a perfectly accepted and normal thing in Equestria, as is other identities. Made her cutiemark reflect her name better with the big apple and blossoms on the front.

Applebloom is a young school filly with her whole life ahead of her. She started a band of the CMC, but the group, with helping hooves, found she did not need to spend every waking moment with her friends. In this, she did things she wanted to do; potion brewing and building structures were some of the few hobbies she enjoyed. The group still did their weekly cutiemark crusade, but explored what they needed to find their own cutiemarks rather than random activities that they had never done before. In time, Applebloom was the first to get her cutiemark, fitted with the family's trademark apple, and a bloom, befitting her name.

Granny Smith, the mare who founded Ponyville, could write a book with the stories she tells her grandchildren. It may need a few ghostwriters to keep it on track, however. 

After her son and daughter-in-law's untimely death, Granny Smith took their young foals into open arms and single-hoofedly ran the farm while raising the three trouble-makers. It had been difficult, those first few years, but as Orchard Blossom and Applejack matured, the burden grew less, and Granny Smith could take those long naps her body needed. She keeps a frame picture of Bright Macintosh and Pear Butter on her nightstand, and above the family's hearth, making sure to keep their memory alive and well. Misery did not need to taint their home, even if nightmares plagued her sleep, and Applejack had to wake her from a cold sweat.

Time may heal wounds, but they could not heal scars.

his favorite is saharah cause he appreciates how she makes the own living (he bought alot of rugs but didn’t hv enough space 😭😭 (he didn’t wanna fall for toms schemes & expand))

he also relates a lot to totakeke not the hippie part but the mellowness i something he likes alot

tbh he plays only maybe 6 times a month? he likes to check in on his villagers 💖💖

ngl he doesn’t prefer co-op, he mostly likes to watch you instead and give you advice based on his own experience

Hullo, same anonymous who talked about the pillars here

I haven't found any indication of inspired ponies for the other pillars but I just wanted to give you a summary of each of them and their overall story (cause I love to talk about those ancient guys) :

-Starswirl the bearded (who has multiples namesake) : most of him is known in previous seasons (incredible sorcerer, inventor of spells, banisher of the sirens, ...) but what is learned after is that he is also what we commonly call a : JERK. He doesn't understand friendship, is very very self-righteous and serious, doesn't hesitate to treat Twilight as an idiot after she freed him and the others from limbo (because it also freed Stygian in his pony of shadows mood), ... Though after learning he was an idiot and pushed Stygian to villainy by not giving him a chance to explain himself, he becomes better and explores Equestria to learn friendship (and gets scammed once). I looked at the four different namesakes he had and we have pretty much : G1 - mare earth- part of a set, followed a rainbow to see where it gots its colors, found a lake with her friends, dove in and got pretty swirls. (No media appearance) G2 - Princess Magic Starswirl, a earth pony mare with a magic amulet that changes colors, can become an "angel" and get wings. (No media appearance) G3 - Earth pony mare, she stays up late to watch stars far past other ponies (Luna would have loved her) and is ready for adventures day or night (Cameo in comics) G4 - here there are multiples so : -Toy Starswirl : no information as she was a bonus edition pony put with Rarity's carriage -Comic Starswirl (before season 7) : all white, he was pretty much a sillier (and nicer) version of the Starswirl of the series. He litterally had a song battle with the sirens and was a goofball. (Haven't read all the comics so yeah) -Somnambula : she is an optimistic pegasus (element of hope), her tale can be summarized in : There was a big scary sphynx who took the crops from the people. The pharaoh went to it like "stop taking our food", the sphynx refuses and kidnapps him. Somnambula goes "give him back!". The sphynx gives a riddle and is a very bad sport when Somnambula guess right. Somnambula tells the sphynx to do an "all-or-nothing" turn but it has to gtfo if she wins. She is forced to traverse above a pool of weird green goo with her wings tied behind her back and a blindfold, she manages to do it and the sphynx gtfo. After arriving in modern Equestria, she takes care of a yoga-type meditation class (in her home country, if I remember well?). G1-Somnambula is a human sorceress who stole ponies youth to stay young/becomes more powerful. Kinda wonder what she would do as a young pegasus mare :vc

-Meadowbrook : Meadowbrook is a earth-pony mare healer (and not a eastern unicorn as said in Starlight debut). Her tale can be summarized in disease change people in trees, her mom catches it. Meadowbrook searches a remedy and finally realize than flash-bees can polinate the flowers causing the disease, so she tries and steal their honey. It goes wrong until she puts on her healing mask, which kinda looks like a flash-bee queen. She heals everypony and all is well. Once in modern era, she goes back to her old home and makes shop there, healing and making remedies there with a descendant (I think?). G1 Meadowbrook loves all flowers and lives in Ponyville, she makes them grow and bloom in her greenhouse and sells them. When people buys her treats, she always adds a flower in their basket and can't decide on a favorite flower. (No media appearances) -Rockhoof : Rockhoof is a earth stallion who was very small and weak and wanted to be part of the Mighty Helm, but he was too weak. He trained with a shovel. The volcano on his town island erupted and he decided to dig a trench to get the magma in the water and not in town, he wasn't going to have enough time as he was alone doing that. But by the power of the shovel, he got very strong and buff, did the trench and saving his home in the process. In the modern era, he got an existential crisis when he realized than there wasn't a lot asked of him with his shovel, failed to get a job multiple times, made a few catastrophes and asked to be changed in stone until Yona proved once more to be best yack and convinced him he was very good at stories, so he got the role of "Keeper of tales" (or something similar sounding).

Flash Magnus : Pegasus soldier of the I-don't-remember-the-name army (maybe just pegasi army?), his tale is the one I remember the less, but pretty much, pegasi vs dragon. Pegasi are caught and about to become grilled chiken, Flash takes his shield and tank dragon fire. I prefer his secondary tale in the comics where a tornado rolls toward a griffons town, the griffons-soldier are like "we can deal with it", Flash superior is like "they are jerk, they can deal with it" and the poor griffon-citizen are like :( . The tornado is about to hit the town as the griffon-soldier can't deal with it and Flash goes "fuck this shit I'm out" and saves griffons and other soldiers follow his lead to save citizens. In the futur, he is part of Equestria's army.

Mistmane : An eastern unicorn, you have seen her tale and I'm already doing a very bad job of summarizing. In the modern era she grows crystal flowers in the crystal empire. Stygian : Pretty much, small weak unicorn lives in a town. The town is attacked by sirens, he likes tales so he figures "hey let's travel all of Equestria to gets my six favorites on a team and save my town". He does it, the team stays together for a while but he feels put aside after a remark than he "brings nothing on the team" (accidentally said by Starswirl when he tried to figure out his virtue and Stygian is like : idk man, I'm not a hero (has litterally done a hero's quest but he is a dumbass)). So he decides to copy his friends stuff to become a hero too, he goes to Ponehedge, Starswirl thinks he was trying to steal their power and he doesn't manage to explain himself and decides to play friend with a shadow (bad idea). The Pony Of Shadows is normally OP so the pillars decides to seal themselves and him in limbo to never comeback. Thanks to a double-friendship laser, he begins to separate from the shadow, Twilight jumps in like "wtf there is somepony here", he explains not wanting to steal the artifacts, the pillars are surprised-pikachu-face, Twilight drags him out and bam, shadow in limbo. In the modern era, Stygian writes a trilogy on his story and it is a bestseller, and we never see him again in person after his finale, we just see him on the cover of his book when Rockhoof is being depressed than he is the only one not finding a purpose. (Was forgetting, there are loads of jokes about Stygian being a recycled second Luna with the whole "feeling underappreciated and became a vengeful shadow pony who just needed a big hug") So yeah, that means than this team is pretty much : ancient wizard (who may or may not turn into a young mare with no magic or a sillier version of himself (wonder which one is the creepier :vc)), a nice positiv girl (who may or may not turn into a villain), an healer (who may lose her healing ability and instead be like "ooooh flower !!!! :D"), a pony who has already had preeeeeetty depressive thoughts cause he felt useless, another pony who did dumb things cause he felt useless but has communication issues on top of it, an old mare and a soldier. And I forgot, they have no idea of who will change/transform, why or how. Sorry I very much failed to summarize-summarize, but I'm feeling to lazy to try and shorten the whole thing x'D

She is a deer that travels around Equestria to study new things and species, she LOVES magic but can't use it :( (the few times she tried she blew everything up,her stuff included so for the safety of everyone she stoped studing it) , quite curious but she scares easily.

Carries whit her a map, a uhhh healing potion? (she dont know what it does but she is convinced that it will be usefull in the future) she had dropped it countless times while taking some stuff out of her bag, her not-in-good shape galsses (she crashed them while she was sleeping), she is very much blind whit out them but she tries her best!! ,and for last but not least…her Notebook!!,,,,its quite difficult to write whit hooves but she is still learning :D,most of her thoughts and studies are on it, so she tries to keep it as much safe and clean as possible....

I expect her to be taller than regular ponies ,but not as tall as an allicorn(? and much thiner than them, specially in the legs.

MAKATI, MANILA -- A Filipino YouTuber named "Makaryo" created a popular animated parody music video featuring Princess Twilight Sparkle of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She is a current broadcast president of the Equestrian Broadcasters Association (EBA) and a former Radyo Bandera Patrol news reporter, Station Manager and President of both OneNETtv Channel and OneNETnews. Mordecai from the Regular Show is also featured in the music video, in a crossover ship with Princess Twilight. The parody is based on a hit song 'Somebody That I Used to Know' by Gotye and Kimbra.

The creator "Makaryo", is known for making animated fan parody music videos of the same cartoon show. He is from the Philippines and created his YouTube channel back in mid-December 2015. The video features Princess Twilight Sparkle and Mordecai, who are depicted as each other's love interests in a realistic setting in a fast-paced timelapsed color painting while singing along with the fan parody animated music video.

In a fanfiction story called Earthworm Zim - Chapter 14: Part 2, Princess Twilight had been reportedly heart broken for a while in most reasons after being loved to someone else, known as the cheating point. One of her friends named Mordecai helped her heal and they eventually fell in love. This fanfiction story continues well smoothly.

As we all learned that the "BlueDog444" is not actually the originator. Because of a viralistic meme in 2020, internet artists began parodying and/or redrawing the amateur classic art, eventually leading to the creation of the 'Redraw MordeTwi Challenge'. It was first posted an amateur drawing of Mordecai and Princess Twilight wishing to arrive on the airplane.

The shipping couple "MordeTwi" originated from a fan artist and fanfiction author named "CartunesLover16" on a website called DeviantArt in the United States of America (U.S.A.). They shared their artwork and stories in late October 2011, which led to the creation of this shipping name. The said pairing has become quite popular in the crossover fandom on both shows in different cable networks in America. Equestria Daily, a website that tracks Brony fandom and news surrounding the show reports – that the said animated music video is inspiring for generations. The original artwork went viral and thus attracted a lot of attention. They even appeared on many TV shows, images and music videos as their relationship became famous among the fanbase.

To sum it all up, Makaryo's animated music video for "MordeTwi" has received widespread acclaim for its creativity and quality animation. This has also contributed to the growing popularity of MordeTwi's over the pairing.

On your Equestria Girls rewrite, pretty tragic how Sunset used to be friends with the Rainbooms (albeit only close with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy back then), what was the reason why she turned mean? And what caused her initial friendship with the Rainbooms to end before the first movie's events?

Sunset Shimmer in the first movie has a gigantic yet fragile ego, so I took that and made it into her fatal flaw: it's a horrible superiority complex hiding some unaddressed abandonement issues. And the root of all that is her attachment to Celestia and the (very misguided but unfortunately not entirely wrong) belief that Twilight replaced her as Celestia's favourite. It was the reason she first portal-hopped into the human world (rather than the "ough i want so much power" from the comics).

In the human world, she no longer had "God's Specialest Girl" privileges, but that actually helped her heal a bit. A mix of RD's tough love and Fluttershy's kindness made her mellow out a bit, and despite still not being a saint (she is rather prickly), it was enough to let her walls down and consider the human 5 her friends. And despite not telling them the entire truth about equestria and ponies and all that, she eventually tells them her backstory, in a roundabout way. And they manage to convince her that maybe it was a really rash decision to run away from home, and she should at least give her "family" a chance to prove to her that they still love and appreciate her.

So she goes back to Equestria when the portal opens again, ready to confront Celestia and/or Twilight. And she sees this

And she recognizes the ponies in the stained glass.

And she sees Twilight there among them, right where she would've been.

And it proves in her head that she was right all along. That Twilight really did replace her. And worse, that rather than fighting for her rightful place as Celestia's champion, she'd just left and allowed Twilight to take it without raising a hoof.

She loses it.

She runs back through the mirror (not without startling a few of the castle staff) and, irrationally furious, lashes out at the human 5 for... a lot of things, really. For convincing her to go back, for betraying her like that (she knows her friends aren't really the ponies in the stained glass, but she's having a breakdown and her mind is kinda conflating her two lives together), etc etc. She becomes extremely inflammatory and unfriendly (can't be abandoned if you push everyone away first), though for some incomprehensible reason RD and Flutters stick around, and decides that she will indeed return and exact her revenge against the world that did not value her as they should have. (Just like a certain Princess of the Night)

That's where we find her at the beginning of the rewrite.

This AU takes place in the MLP universe not too long after the last of Twilight's friends has passed and decades before the events of g5, as such the setting is much more modern than g4. There is a general unrest amongst the population of Equestria and life is noticeably bleaker, but no one wants to acknowledge the situation and most choose to pretend nothing has changed. The magic of friendship is taught more as a religion, and Twilight is seen as a god-like figure (much like Celestia was during her reign) despite barely interacting with the public as of late. BUUUUUUT- aside from that.... I guess I can start by spoiling what type of ponies the main gang are :3c Danny - pegasus (Jack is also a pegasus) Despite being a pegasus Danny can't actually fly, his wings stopped growing when he was little and are too small to lift him off the ground (this is also the case with Jack). Danny also didn't get his cutie mark until he began fighting ghosts. However, his mark is thankfully vague enough that he's been able to lie about how he got it. In ghost form Danny's wings appear bigger thanks to ectoplasmic glow and resemble partially feathered bat wings, he also gets a horn made out of solidified ectoplasm. (He doesn't have a cutie mark in ghost form as ghosts don't have cutie marks. Yes, this AU has pony ghost lore...) Jazz - unicorn (Maddie is also a unicorn) Jazz may have started as a proper unicorn, but since being introduced to the world of ghost fighting she does most of her magic with her back hooves. Jazz is the terrifying combination of a skilled magic user and a ferocious fighter. Her distaste for her parent's wacky behavior manifested in dedicating herself to magic studies so she could one day move to Canterlot with her brother and live a normal life. She heavily researches healing magic and one of her main goals is to write new healing spells. Sam - unicorn (both her parents as unicorns, and her grandmother is as well) Sam's family comes from a long line of Canterlot unicorns, the reason why her parents moved from Canterlot to Amity Park is unknown, but from the way they talk about the move it seems like it was grandma's decision. Sam is very interested in magic although, despite being a unicorn, she's mainly interested by the kind of magic done by earth ponies and other species. Sam believes magic should be accessible to anyone and so she puts effort into educating ponies about, and preserving the art of, all kinds of non-traditional magic. Tucker - earth pony (dad is also an earth pony, but his mom is a unicorn) The last thing that's expected of earth ponies is being tech savvy programming geniuses obsessed with all manners of futuristic gadgets, but that's exactly the kind of earth pony Tucker is. Tucker HATES the assumption that earth ponies aren't interested in tech and modifies common technology so it can only be used with hooves just to spite others (and also because it's fun), this actually ended up working in his favor as he's become famous in online tech communities for his modifications.

i only watched the full thing once with a friend so i dont remember all of it, but of what i do remember, 1. rarity was done even dirtier than BOD; 2. they were so mean to rarity's daughter for literally no reason???? she literally didnt do anything and they always called her a spoiled brat or smth??? i feel so bad for her; 3. yes most of my problems have to do with rarity - i hate that shes encouraged to stay with fancypants bc it was changelings making him look like he was cheating on rarity. like yeah girl you should talk to him abt it like an adult but YOU CAN STILL LEAVE HIM FOR BEING A SHITTY DAD TO JEWEL 😭; 4. hey dick cordddd ur still manipulative af; 5. YOURE TELLING ME THERES ONE QUEER RELATIONSHIP IN THE ENTIRE SERIES AND THEY DIDNT EVEN GET TOGETHER??? i think thats mostly all of my qualms with it, but other than that i think it was a good watch. it doesnt stay with me as long as BOD did (prob bc i wasnt able to watch all of it as a child) but i think romance-wise, this love story was LEAGUES better than the last one. also i like how it kind of repeats the same moral of the last one, but in a different circumstance that poses new pros and cons.

with BOD, discord was only one person. he was an all-powerful, godly person, but he was still one mind. the changelings in DOD, on the other hand, are an entire nation. this isnt the same "misunderstood outsider" trope that we see with zecora or discord, this is an entire species; one that even themselves believe is physically incapable of loving.

mothball(which is literally the cutest name for a bug-themed character ever) is first in line to lead his species, so you can imagine the expectations and resentment that come with that; he has barely any real support on either side, queen chrysalis being the only adult he can really emotionally rely on. this is what makes his inner conflict so interesting, his empathy constantly at odds with his mother's ideology and his own biological needs.

screwball is also interesting, considering her dad is the lord of chaos and ex-tyrant, and her mom is an element of harmony, kindness incarnate. it's a classic nature/nuture debate kind of plot, but with a twist in that both sides are her nature AND nurture, the only turmulous factor in her life being her environment only percieving the chaotic side; some of it isn’t unfounded either, as she obviously tends to gravitate towards discord more (which is normal, considering most kids tend to have a favorite parent anyway). even if i really dont like the enabling nature of dick cord and how fluttershy is a punching bag again, i find screwball’s concept endearing.

also she and mothball are like, actually adorable. i find it ironic that the canon characters were altered to make an insufferable couple and the basically OCs were the outstanding romance. unlike fluttercord’s REALLY disturbing power dynamic and coercion, screw and moth managed to balance each other out, and (lemme yell it for the ponies in the back) WERE BOTH WILLING TO BE TOGETHER 💥💥💥💥

theres also smth strangely nostalgic about their dynamic. screwball has been the outcast her entire life, her lineage and connection to discord subjecting her to a lot of emotional turmoil. the only reason she has a group of friends is because of her mom’s rank and social circle as well, i dont think she’s had very much room for change or fantasy when her parents were trying to heal the damage the circumstance of their meeting caused for equestria. falling in love with the prince of an enemy nation is cliche and basically copied off of the lion king 2, but i love it in that sense because its probably one of her first instances of living through what seems to be a fairytale. it’s a kind of yearn for teenage rebellion and unpredictability that she’s had to keep trapped within a swamp in the everfree for most of her life, but even though it brings her so much happiness to be with mothball, it also leads her into great danger that her upbringing didn’t prepare her for. she’s scolded for standing up to her bullies and scrutinized for the nature of her character, so what can she do when faced with her very own romeo & juliet tale while entire nations seethe above them?

oh also i love how they incorporated the changelings’ presences in the story before the mane six are aware of their threat, even calling back to mentioned conflicts in BOD. they really use their shapeshifting powers to the most in this installment, and i think the instance that hit me in the gut most is the romantic isolation of twilight. especially with the context that this series was created specifically for shipping; what an insidious thing to keep her from finding love along with her friends to keep her alone as everyone else creates families. i, as an aromantic person, also feel a form of anxiety knowing most of the important people in my life may drift away in the event of marriage and forming roots while i probably wont. so yeah imagine that but with a newly-immortal princess who actually WANTS a romantic relationship, with people who are revealed to be actively keeping one from her - thats gut wrenching for me to think about.

when it comes to the music, i appreciate the effort they put into making original songs, but i also am just. unable to appreciate them bc the changelings voice filter just diesnt translate well to music at aaaaaaallllll. which is a shame bc it stood out so much that i cant remember anything ABOUT the original music. im prob gonna try to see if theres any normal renditions of the ost after i post this but yeah

Applejack Headcanons and Redesign!

In my redesign, earth ponies have their own kind of magic comnected to Equestria. Applejack has a very strong type of earth pony magic. Specifically: she can heal wounds, summon small earthquakes by stomping her hooves, and has incredible strength.

AJ is pretty much the same as in FIM. I headcanon that he has curly hair like his mother, but no one really knows that since he keeps it cut so short. Speaking of, Rarity insists that she cuts and styles AJ's hair, but AJ always goes to Rainbow for it. They like to keep their hair short so that it doesn't get caught while working.

AJ loves to visit her family in Appleoosa. Most of the time it's to compete in rodeo competitions; barrel racing, hurdles, roping, etc. Also!! AJ is dating Rarity <3

OKAY SO y’all asked after my MLP au, and I am now here to provide ✨

But please keep in mind that this au is probably like six years old and I’ve forgotten a lot of it, plus- I just woke up lmao

So the very bare bones of it is that instead of being the rulers of Equestria (which is probably renamed to something along the lines of “ungulate”, which means hoofed animal), the two sisters are proper deities that are thought to have “eyes in the sky”, so to speak, and they each sacrificed one eye to hang in the heavens as the sun and moon respectively to watch over the creatures of their realm and ensure their safety

Now, in my rewrite Equestria, only hoofed animals have human-like intelligence, and obviously that includes the ponies/horses, which have MASSIVE superiority complexes because the goddesses of their world are most commonly thought of as alicorns, i.e., horses

There’s also vast differences between the three main pony species - unicorns are incredibly delicate, like. To a fault. They are insanely easy to break, which is something of a way to ahhh I guess “even out” their playing field because,, they have access to raw magic. Pegasi are more streamlined and bird like, and have a natural inclination towards predicting and managing the weather. And earth ponies are fucking t a n k s, and essentially the only ones in terms of ponies who can actually grow food; unicorn magic taints crops, so plant magic is only under the earth ponies’ belts.

But I imagine that the series as a whole would revolve around the mane six (obviously) but in Very different ways

Twilight would be a scholar of Celestia; her magic is directly tied to the sun and all the things that the goddess Celestia represents: like healing and warmth and etc

Rarity’s magic might be somewhat tied to the earth, in terms of like,, gemstones? But her magic is very weak; most unicorn magic, I imagine, is less of “whoa so many things you can do with this!!!!” and more of, legitimately, “you can really only excel at one thing”

I imagine it’s. Kind of like the coven system from the Owl House?? But idk

She’s still a dress maker lmao. I think the main “plot” of my au, she,, created costumes for the other mane six so that they could all go out and help spread love rather than hate between the three pony tribes while staying safely anonymous

Apple Jack still works on her family’s farm

Pinkie Pie now owns her own bakery, and she makes delicious vegan baked goods with ingredients grown from her own garden

Rainbow Dash was unemployed I’m pretty sure, and just like the town’s resident speed demon and Bad Boy tm

And Fluttershy owned an animal sanctuary for injured and abandoned pets / general animals

I mentioned it a little earlier but from what I remember it was,, the three tribes all hold the mindset that they’re better than the others because [insert various reasonings here], but the mane six come together due to a prophecy that relates to the death of their gods: i.e., the moon went nuts and is actively trying to murder the sun

Discord is also a larger player, as he is an ancient god of chaos that more or less shaped Celestia and Luna, but he has a mortal form that just causes havoc for the hell of it

Mildly unrelated, I think Twilight’s parents belonged to an extremist sun-worshipping cult, which is why she’s such a prodigy, but she gets the hell out of dodge from there and starts exploring more beyond her magic

There came a gentle tap at the Carousel's lovely new door.  They heard Princess Luna's voice inviting, “Please come out, Kin, and you too, Rarity.  I know what it must look like.  Trust me, it is not what it seems.”

As they emerged, Kin suddenly broke into a huge smile!  Surrounding the Ponyville Medical Society were the over ninety Gryphons that she, Luna and the Gryphon doctors that they had trained, all now healed.

Princess Luna stood behind a small lectern, flanked by Princess Celestia and Princess Twilight!  Her soft mane of midnight blue streaming impressively in the breeze, she announced, “We have several items of business which I did not wish to go forward without your presence.”

She gestured at the assembled Medical Society.  “First, Under the Royal Wing, as a direct witness to deliberate crimes, and as the head of the Kingdom Medical Society, without whose Seal no medical license is valid, I am formally and permanently revoking the license of the once doctor Wheatly.  He may not practice, participate, nor consult on any matter of medicine whatsoever.  The Ponyville Medical Society must choose a new Chairpony.”

Producing an original license, sealed in red wax, and several Chancery Copies, sealed in black wax, she raised her gavel and brought it down smartly on the stacked documents!  The report of the impact made a WHAM! Fragments of sealing wax blasted out from under the mallet!  Princess Luna then took a pen and wrote 'Revoked for Cause and Criminal behavior' across each one.  The lot were given to a Clerk of the Chancery Court, who was waiting for them!

“Now, on to better things.  Some here,” the Princess glared at the assembled Medical Society, “Object, Kin, to your practice of healing arts on these Gryphons, who were severely injured by the recent earthquake in the Gryphon Empire.  In spite of your working under my personal Aegis, they have persisted in claiming that you have no license and therefore must be a quack.”

Holding up a paper with nicely lace like border designs and an original red Royal Seal, she displayed it to the whole Medical society.  “This should settle once and for all, the question of your license, Doctor Kindred Spirit.  You are certified by direct examination for all matters of surgery or trauma medicine anywhere in the kingdom of Equestria.  

“Next to my seal is another.  The Throne of the Gryphon Empire has concurred and certified your practice anywhere in the Empire.”

Along with the medical license, Princess Luna gave Kin a hug.

Princess Twilight stood next and offered, “Kin, for your outstanding service to Our Principality, I have formally signed over the Kindred Spirit Gryphon Hospital to you.  Besides serving Gryphons, you will be formally permitted to take ponies as patients, but Gryphons, especially injured ones take precedence.  You may hire, fire and teach staff as you see fit.

“Both the day to day operations and the construction of permanent buildings for the Kindred Spirit Gryphon Hospital are fully underwritten by the joint Crowns of this Principality and the Kingdom of Equestria. There is funding promised from the Gryphon Empire as well but that must await rebuilding from the the earthquake there.”

Graayk, the Gryphon Ambassador, stepped forward.  He bore a number of cases. “Would Princess Twilight, Doctor Kindred Spirit, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Guard Captain Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Fluttershy please come forward?”

He waited while Kin and the whole of the Mane Six were assembled.  Crest up and spread wide in a Gryphon's smile, he pronounced, “The Empress and her Strong Wings of the Throne of Empire awarded these by Magic Net.  Here are the real things.  Each of these cases has an Order of the Golden Talon and, in a rare show of thanks and trust, you are given a Knife of Honor.

“The Knife of Honor is from the claws of the Throne of Empire and is expected to be worn if ever you are in the Presence of the Throne. In procession, it ranks you before other nobility of the Realm.  The Crowns of Equestria concur in this and place you just below their Royal Family, the Band of Marchhare, in any procession and the Right and Duty to be so Armed is fully granted.”

He held out the first case, “Princess Twilight has yielded her place, that Doctor Kindred Spirit be the first to receive her Medallion and Knife.”

Almost dazed by the change in her situation, Kin stepped forward.  Opening the case, Ambassador Graayk lifted out a stunning medallion of white gold overlaid by an oval of brilliant clear blue enamel.  Inlaid in the enamel was a talon fashioned of polished yellow gold.  It was hung from a ribbon of red, green and gold, the colors of the Empire. He draped it over Kin's neck, neatly settling the wide ribband to show all to the best effect.

Returning to the case, he removed a richly tooled leather belt with a matching scabbard.  Girding it about Kin's waist, he released a safety catch and lifted out the knife of richly swirled Damascus patterned steel for all to see.  It was not simply a beautiful work of art, it was also a perfectly made weapon.  He returned the blade to its scabbard and formally Lifted his wings, fully spread and bowed to her.

He repeated the whole performance with each of the Mane Six.  As he finished, not only he, but all of the healed Gryphons repeated the Formal Wing Lift and Spread as they bowed to all the Mane Six.

Princess Celestia took the podium.  “These seven deserve every accolade but I have had reports and, worse, seen with my own eyes and heard with my own ears an enormous amount disparagement of them.  You have no idea how sad that makes me.

“Especially Doctor Kindred Spirit and Rarity have suffered at your hands, horns, hooves and words.  You have tried to steal the hospital that was the result of their work.  The tents?  I know that some of you actually filed to have the work of healing these Gryphons stopped because they were using tents.  The tents are what could be set up swiftly to shelter the injured.

“When the attempt was made to steal the hospital by criminally forged and illegally served documents, the literally first thing that you buzzards of the Medical Society did, was set up a BILLING OFFICE! Billing for the further compounding of the injuries that brought these Gryphons here.  This will not be tolerated.

“Now, go about your proper business.  We wished you to see for yourselves that your complaints were baseless, indeed totally at odds with reality.”
