pro tip: do NOT try to paint "just a little" stain onto your ceramics at 11:50 at night. do NOT balance the box of stain (green) (carcinogenic) on the corner of another box to do so. DO NOT SPILL YOUR POWDERED CARCINOGENS at MIDNIGHT. it will take you half an hour to clean it up and you will feel paranoid the entire time. you will also lose several books that you couldn't clean up completely. and a towel. and some really good pajama pants you're sorry to see go.

I... should be fine?

Please, how do I make money fast in dol?? I've always played with cheats on cuz I'm a pussy. I've gotten better from my past no cheats on playthroughs, but still, I still would like to know from the pro, my favorite dol account. Please, tell us your ways🛐
Huh... And here I thought money is the last thing you need to worry about when you've been playing long enough on one save. Alright, I doubt anything I'm gonna say is new, but since you asked so nicely, I'll go into details with my 4 PCs and highlight their most rewarded methods.
In general, early game is always tricky since your stats are low. High Math grade and higher certain stats make things easier.
1. Lya
- She used to be a massage staff at the Spa. High enough beauty (4/6 if I remember right) or hand skill is required to work there, and high dance skill make it fairly safe. Higher promiscuity and skuldugery open chances for lewder things and more money.
- Antique hunting. At the lake. High swimming skill recommended. And down the sewer too. I only intended to grind her skuldugery, but then she started to get attached to Winter so she go hunt antique for him ever since. Then the old church yard too. Still the Ivory necklace is a no.
- Dancing jobs. Charlie's Danube street job and at the brothel. Not the strip club but the brothel. Higher skuldugery can only be grinded while encountering so yeah, she work at the brothel for a pretty long time and install the vending machine there too.
- Be a model at Niki's studio.
- Working at Sirris' adult toy shop and selling flowers at the market sometime.
- Alex farm. Invested in the Farm, make things automatic and safe, then brought things to the Harvest street for sale. It's pretty okay and leisurely too.
- The doting Hawk spouse. Yes. Sometimes she goes to the tower to relax, getting away from the dirty town. When you're with the Hawk you just have to sleep, bath, sing all day, maybe walk around the moor a bit, be pretty and wait for the goodest bord to bring things back to you and sell them to Landry later.
2. Lyah
- Being Avery escort. Yeah help very much in the early game. He still keep her company sometime now.
- Steal things from people. He make the most out of his Devil tf to get into encounter, steal, then tell people to stop. Work like a champ. His skuldugery went up fastest out of all 4 PCs.
- Bartender at Strip Club. He works there for fun and to look out for Darryl, but sometimes encounter happen. So it still counts. Vending machine still installed at the Brothel.
- Chef. The ultimate way to make money. Even without Cow tf he still make a LOT out of it, being devoid of purity and lactating mean he has lots of bodily fluids to spare. Just a few hours of "work" and remember to save some for his wife, and the money is insane.
3. Kariya
- Doing odd jobs in the street. Usually to get into encounters.
- Working at the Agency.
- Seducing someone randomly at the Pub, the Farm, at nights,... You name it.
- Get up early and pick the locks of every house or building before they open for the day.
- Playing cards with Wren. Every-single-day. They often just continue untill the lewd part happen. That's their fav part anw. And running around butt-naked with Wren too.
- Dancing and Private shows at the Brothel. Mostly for fun but their money primarily comes from these activities. Briar's most fav worker for sure.
4. "Nyan"
- Working at the Dog Pound and Sam's Cafe (waiter only)
- Doing odd jobs in the street for Housekeeping skill, sometime pick locks and steal from Danube street.
- Temple monthly allowance. Even at max Grace it's not much, but still better than nothing.
- Charlie's dancing job. Charlie offered the safe job, but Nyan often asked for the more dangerous one. Jordan asked him to investigate anyway.
- Antique hunting in the lake, etc... Nyan is still in the build, so he mostly stick with his older siblings safer choices.
Okay, there, I think that's basically things I can recall for now. Also since all my PCs are Robin protectors, they mainly stick to safer paths and don't go away from the Orphanage for too long unless they can't help it. So huge chance there are many more ways to make bigger bucks that I'm not aware of yet. Still, hope this helps!

Protean, Temortanga
Tumblr media
“Quetzalcoatl” © Leah Sutherland, accessed at her deviantArt gallery here
[After eight years, I’m finally doing it. I’m writing proteans. The proteans are the only one of Pathfinder’s outsider lineages I haven’t written any of before. This is because I find them too samey. They look cool, don’t get me wrong. And they pack a huge punch in combat; I have gotten really close to a TPK in a fight with three proteans versus optimized 15th level characters. But that’s all they seem to do is fight. We’re given hints about protean choirs, but all of their monster entries get very abbreviated in the Bestiaries, and all of them seem to be focused on fighting lawful creatures. There’s more to change than just destruction!
So I’m putting my own spin on it. Each of my proteans is going to focus on something else that changes, and have some sort of ability that changes themselves as well as changes others. And each of them will have some sort of goal that isn’t directly tied to “kill lawful creatures”. They’ll be designed to fit into CR gaps among existing proteans, so that way there’s a stat block for each CR 2 through 20. And I am going to cap this off with a protean lord, although in this case she’s not my character; she’s a collaboration.
So the temortanga is the one protean I’m writing who doesn’t fit into a CR gap. It’s another CR 4 protean, after the ourdivar, which is my least favorite protean, both conceptually and mechanically. Conceptually, they only exist when summoned. Mechanically, the most interesting thing they do is explode when they die.Not to toot my own horn too much, but “Cinderella’s fairy godmother as a fashionista” strikes me as a cooler concept.
Oh, and because I like to play games, each of these entries contains a riddle. The names for my proteans (minus the protean lord) will be anagrams of people’s names who are thematically related to the protean. Can you guess who “temortanga” is named after?]
Protean, Temortanga CR 4 CN Outsider (extraplanar) This creature is humanoid from the waist up, with a beautiful if noticeably inhuman face. Below the waist, she is serpentine, with scales in rainbow hues. Her arms have a set of feathers like long sleeves, and similar feathers grow from the tip of her tail.
A temortanga is a protean trendsetter; they represent changes in fashion and appearance. Their faces are more humanoid than those of most proteans, at least typically. A temortanga can change its face if it chooses to a more serpentine one, or to something wholly novel—they usually use this ability when interacting with non-humanoid races to make them feel more comfortable, or occasionally for shock value. They are not especially interested in combat, much preferring to talk, perform or play dress-up. They can create new clothing out of thin air, and their scales and feathers crumble away to form various kinds of paints, dyes and other cosmetics. Their fashion alterations are usually temporary, but a temortanga might slip a piece of its own real jewelry or fancy clothing into a costume for someone it especially likes, or incorporate previously existing materials into a new look.
If forced to fight, temortangas can scratch and lash out with their tails, but not especially well. They prefer a support role, supporting their allies with bardic performances and using spells to damage or embarrass enemies. Their passion for fashion does have a defensive purpose as well; a temortanga can imbue one of its garments with protective magic, and they change this as they need to in order to be safer in their particular fight.
Temortangas are usually obsessed with being in the spotlight; what they do, they do for the applause. Their attitudes tend towards excitable, even giddy, although they are skilled enough at social graces that they can maintain a poker face when they need to. Temortangas are cliquey, with shifting friend groups based on artistic interests and fashion choices, but moving back and forth between groups is seen as perfectly acceptable. They know that they are relatively weak compared to other proteans, and may use flattery and charm to recruit stronger proteans as allies. Unlike many other proteans, they enjoy being summoned by mortals, because it gives them a chance to share their talents with a new audience and catch up on new trends

This stacks with levels of bard for the purposes of advancing bardic music, but not other bard class abilities like spellcasting or versatile performance. Change Shape (Su) A temortanga can change shape at will, but does not gain any healing from reverting to its normal shape, as is typical for proteans. Conjure Costuming (Su) As a standard action at will, a temortanga can create clothes, wigs, jewelry or any other item of apparel worth 100 gp or less. Such items decay into feathers and shed scales within 8 hours. Defensive Dress (Su) As a standard action, a temortanga can designate one piece of clothing or jewelry it wears as its defensive dress. It then gains a resistance bonus equal to its Charisma modifier on one type of saving throw (Fortitude, Reflex or Will) as long as that item is worn, or until the temortanga spends a standard action to change it. The statistics above include this bonus to the temortanga’s Fortitude save. Made of Makeup (Ex) A temortanga is always treated as having a disguise kit that never runs out of uses. It can make disguises for other characters without penalty. Meaningful Makeover (Su) By spending 10 minutes applying makeup to a willing creature, a temortanga can grant that creature a +5 morale bonus to two Charisma based skill checks of the temortanga’s choice. This bonus lasts for 8 hours, or until the makeup is washed off. A temortanga can use this ability a number of times per day equal to its Charisma modifer. It can use this ability on itself, which does count against its pool of uses.

Issues (r.c) part 4
Tumblr media
Pairing- readerxrafe, hint of readerxbarry.
summary - a story on addiction and falling in love
Warnings- language, drugs, stealing, fighting. (18+)
A/n- 16 months later and I’ve updated! Please note I have edited previous chapters and also marking these as 18+ as I do have sexual content planned.
The inside of your house was quiet, too quiet. Rafe stood behind you, he had his hand on the door frame above your head. You could feel his breath on the back of your head, the hairs on your neck coming to stand and goosebumps litter your arms.
“What’s wrong?” He whispered, peering over your head to look inside. You felt ashamed that he had to see the shit hole that you lived in, the only nice part to your house was your bedroom. The only room in the house your father hadn’t ruined.
“It’s just quiet” you responded, you finally stepped over the threshold. The floorboards underneath you creak and echo throughout the house.
You didn’t want to be here; you were scared shitless. Your face still hurt from the beating your dad gave you, you weren’t physically prepared to go through it again once Rafe left.
“Hey, your shaking!” Rafe stats, the palms of his hands rub up and down your bear arms. You finally registered the state you were in, tears where leaking from your eyes and you shook from fear.
“Oh” is all you manage to say, you don’t move from his touch though. Your frozen, staring ahead at your father who was passed out on the couch. Beer cans surrounded his unconscious body, his bruising was much worse than yours. His lip was so fat it looked like he had been stung by a bee. If you weren’t so scared, you would have laughed.
“Where is your room?” Rafe whispers, you manage to move your head towards the direction of your room. He scoops you up and walks across the floor, your eyes trained back on your father. Making sure he doesn’t open his eyes.
Once you’re inside your room, Rafe closes the door. He reaches up and locks the door with the padlock that you had put on yourself. You tell yourself you should be scared but for some odd reason you feel a lot safer in the room with a kook than your own flesh and blood.
“I’ll stay here until you fall asleep, then I’ll climb out the window” he states, he doesn’t wait for your answer and makes himself at home. His body is on your bed, you’re staring at him in silence. But you find yourself grabbing an oversized shirt from your draw, turning your body to face the wall, and changing in front of him.
You’re not sure if he looked or if he had closed his eyes the moment you grabbed clothes because when you turned around, he was laid back on your pillow, eyes closed and arms behind his head.
Again, you’re not sure why you feel so safe with him, you’re not sure why this all felt so normal?
You make your way across the room and slide under the covers, you lay on your back staring up at the ceiling. Pictures of the pogues plastered on the white paint. You think you should feel sad, sad that they have no idea what’s going on. No idea that Rafe was on your bed.
But you don’t care, and that is what frightened you the most.
“Close your eyes” Rafe says, he’s watching you. Watching your eyes flicker across all the photos, watching your mind run a million miles an hour. Both your highs are coming down, you know you needed to sleep it off. You’re not sure how Rafe was when he wasn’t high, you weren’t sure if he would turn into a different person.
So, you closed your eyes and you let yourself sleep. It was a good sleep, the best sleep you’ve had in a long time.
The sun poking its way through your purple curtain woke you up, yawning as you slowly opened your eyes. You knew he wouldn’t be next to you when you opened your eyes, but you couldn’t help that gnawing feeling when it was in fact true.
You jump out of your skin when you hear yelling, you run towards the door and press your ear to the wood. All you could hear was the erratic beating of your heart, your skin was heating up.
The sound kept getting louder, you raced around the room looking for some clothes. Changing as fast as you could, you grabbed whatever you thought you might need for the day and shoved it into a bag. Pushing open the window Rafe would have used last night and jumping out onto the pavement.
Just as your about to start running you notice Barry’s bike laid upon the gate. Your stomach drops, your confused as to why your worried for your father. He hurt you, but you didn’t want anything to happen to him. So, you raced around the front of the house, bursting through the front door.
“Barry!” You shout, just in time. His fist stops mid-air, his grip on your father’s shirt slackens. He throws him onto the couch, turning round to give you his famous smirk. Chills run through you, but not the kind of chills that would indicate your frightened.
These where a different kind of chill, he steps towards you. “There you are” he says, looking over his shoulder at your father who looks confused but thankful that you walked through the door. “Daddy dearest didn’t want to tell me where you were” he adds.
“She shouldn’t be hanging around with people like you” your father states, but he’s cowering into the cushions of the couch. You shake your head, why is he now worried about you? He wasn’t worried when he was leaving black and blue bruises on you the other night.
“Think you need to let your daughter run her own life, old man” he growls, he begins to step towards your father again. You grab his wrist, giving him a soft tug. You were brave but not that brave. “Let’s leave, tell me why you were looking for me” you beg, you start walking backwards until your back meets the screen door.
It doesn’t take Barry any convincing to follow you out, he doesn’t even look back over at your father. His eyes are on you the whole time, you walk towards his bike and stop.
“I got a little job for you”
Your heart is in your stomach, your mind jumps straight to drugs. He wants you to deliver drugs, he wants you to get sucked into his life. “Hey now princess, no need to start thinking the worst” he laughs, the sun reflects on his cheap gold tooth. You watch as he sits himself upon his bike, taping behind him for you to join.
“It’s safe, I promise”.
There is no hesitation, you’re on the back of the bike in seconds. That safe feeling settling in your stomach that you had last night with Rafe, your brain shutting down any negative thought as you let Barry drive you out of your run-down garden.
The wind was crisp, your arms wrapped around his waist. Your cheek was pressed against his back to shield your eyes from the wind, you didn’t recognise the part of town he had taken you to.
It was nice, white picket fences. Freshly cut grass, it smelt rich. You could only assume you were on Rafe’s side of the island; you didn’t come over here much. You had no need to.
The bike came to a stop and jumped off, looking up at the big White House in front of you. “Why are we here Barry?” You question, your eyes don’t leave the house.
Jealousy ran through your veins as you pictured yourself living the life of a kook, how easy life would be. How your mum would probably still be around if you had money, your dad would probably be sober. Heck you would probably never have touched cocaine.
“Are you even listening?”
“Sorry what?”
Barry gripped your chin, those chills where back. Followed by goosebumps and a lump in your throat, why were you liking the way this felt?
“These guys owe me some cash. I’ve told them we are even, if you can work for them” he states, he points to the older man walking out of the French doors. You nod your head and look back at Barry.
“Rafe and I will be here to pick you up in exactly 3 hours, now you go do your thing sweet girl”. He states, he pushes something into the back on your jean shorts. You assume it was cocaine as that’s what you usually brought from him.
You know you shouldn’t be feeling these feelings, but your thighs press together absentmindedly, your suddenly turned on by Barry of all people. The same feelings you had gotten last night with Rafe in your bed, why was this happening to you?

Wolfstack's Ticking Time Bomb | Hard Mode Guide
Are you guys having fun with the new World Event? I know I am. I am having so much fun with my runs (and only 1 self-explosion so far) that I've decided to write up a guide for it!!!
There's around 14.000 of the World Quality left so we don't have all that much time to continue. If you just want to experience the travel, do a medium/easy run!
An Easy run is especially worth it if you just unlocked the ship, even. And the event is very cool!!!! The fear! The tension! The tick-tock of the bombs as you drag the bulk of your ship through the sharp rocks and winding paths, heart racing, eyes full of terror.
The doubt! The way you grow increasingly afraid, increasing terrified, thinking of anything, any solution at all to get out of this problem you have gotten yourself in. The maddening sound, the warmth, the desperation, the growing threat of mutiny quelled only be the ever more terrible threat of an explosive demise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This might be the *best* out of all the Living World Events we got so far!
Alrighty, so to the guide part.
First out of everything- admit that you are not going to be able to succeed in the checks. It's fine, if you're lategame to try and go for the medium ones, but the checks in the hardmode can reach up to 24 Zeefaring to 100%.
Yeah, it's genuinely insane. So, ignore them.
But if you can't use half the cards- how will you, a zailor of quality, finish this event's hardmode and get a nice new quality for your mantelpiece?
Here are some recommendations.
First of all, grind as much Strong-Backed Labour as you possibly can. I actually recommend either:
The Bazaar Side-Streets (marginally more efficient with underclay. Don't worry about the 3.50E you've just spent- this event can reach 8 EPA in hardmode, even if you don't have the needed Zeefaring.)
The Southwark statue in Jericho Locks. It's the best option for SBL, bar none, though it requires card draw.
In any other circumstance, I'd tell you to go for the Underclay, but this event is genuinely so profitable the Bazaar Side-Streets become a viable option. Every action you save is worth its weight in gold.
Get *as much SBL as possible.* 6-9 is the absolute minimum in my opinion.
Second: Stock up on Second Chances. Specifically, Dangerous chances. Keep your Suspicion below 5 as well so you can draw a certain very good card in zee.
Next: keep your Troubled Waters low. A bit of pirating here and there isn't too harmful- it doesn't really increase TW that much over the regular cards.
Keep at least one TW-reducing card in your hand, so you can use them to switch regions from Home Waters to London and from Stormbones to the event location. If you have more then one TW-reducing card in your hand, lower your TW, but always make sure to change regions with a TW-lowerer.
This is because your hand is wiped on region change, so to minimize TW you need to do this!
Good cards for TW reduction:
"A Corvette of Her Majesty's Navy,"
"The Wax-Wind" (if you have a zub)
"What do the Drownies Sing?" (if you have a Drownie Effluvia from Fruits of the Zee)
"A Giant Angler Crab" (specifically "Ready the guns and fire at its soft spots" option, reducing TW by 2 CP).
When you get there, every level of TW will be converted into the event menace, Volatility, and reaching 8 volatility will blow you up.
Now, you got to the hard part.
Most likely then not, you are not going to be able to do the advanced checks here, so keep to the Watchful check (which is super easy) and the Dangerous check (which is amazing)! They are, respectively, 'Steady! Steady!' and 'No way! There's no way!' and they will be your salvation.
Those second chances? Those are for the Dangerous check. Never play the Red Science check unless you're very very endgame and utterly loaded on that stat.
(I enjoyed the game telling me that 10% RS check is, incredibly, safer option than the one that has an actual chance of success and I can spend a second chance on.)
There are, at first, only 4 cards in deck, so you can keep drawing and playing those two.
By the time you have Progress to the Admiralty Depot 5, you start drawing a (bad) card called 'Now! Now!'
It's not very good. It has an insanely difficult check which you should never roll on, and an option that spends 1-3 Labours for some guaranteed progress.
When you draw this card, take a deep breath and check your Volatility. Is it below 4? Is it at most halfway to 5? If it is and your progress is *not* 6 or 7, you can bite the bullet and do a zeefaring check to draw again. You can take the damage. If it isn't, simply spend the SBL and draw again.
The card 'We're not going to make it!' has a slightly lower amount of damage dealt to you so pick it, if this happens.
Now, have you drawn 'Steady! Steady!' or 'No way! There's no way!' in your new draw?
Play those.
Now, draw again and hope for one of those two.
If you draw a Zeefaring check again, sigh mournfully and spend the SBL.
Rinse and repeat- even if you have the worst luck ever, 9 SBL should be enough to get you there.
And congratulations! Your heart is racing, your breath is hot- but you have earned your bounty.

No one hate me for asking, because I'm genuinely curious what some of you think we should do with people who are mass murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and serial killers. And I'm not pro prison, but where would we put someone like John Wayne Gacy and would it even be possible to rehabilitate them at that point. I've also seen people safer because their abusive partner went to jail or prison, so what should we do to these people to make sure they don't harm others.
Thank you for submitting this question! I wanted to respond via post but it wouldn't let me tag you.
It's a valid question and though a very very VERY small percent are violent offenses, it is important to ask "How can we help these people?"
So first of all. A number of the violent offenses are mental health related, and therefore rehabilitation would focus on treating the inmate for their mental health issues.
This study also states that a lot of the violent offenders WANT to be rehabilitated and KNOW something is wrong.
Furthermore here are the stats of people that are incarcerated that are mentally ill. (For comparison 21% of the general populace is mentally ill).
For incarcerated people, those rates are much higher; the American Psychological Association reports that “64 percent of jail inmates, 54 percent of state prisoners, and 45 percent of federal prisoners” have reported mental health concerns.
Why is mental illness a problem? Well a lot of mental illness can cause violent behaviors, but a lot of mental illness can result in behaviors that may seem violent, but aren't inherently so (speaking in a loud voice, big gestures, non-compliance with the police, and distrust of authority).
And on top of that 85% of inmates either have an addiction or were arrested for drug and alcohol related crimes. Why is this important? Drugs and alcohol can cause anger issues, bad trips, paranoia, etc. Which can resort to violent crimes. ESPECIALLY alcoholism which often goes unnoticed and untreated.
This includes situations for violent serial killers because psychopathic violence is often caused by a lack of empathy, and you'd be suprised that there's actually people walking around today with a lack of empathy. This doesn't excuse the crimes, mind you. But it feeds into the fact that this is mental illness and treating said mental illness can decrease rates of reffending.
Okay, but what about rapists?
Recent research published by the American Public Health Association suggests that focusing on punishments rather than positive goals can actually increase the chance of recidivism. In 2006, the Department of Justice endorsed more progressive methods such as the Good Lives Model, which aims to teach people how to fulfill their emotional and physical needs without hurting others. That includes challenging sexist behaviors and skewed social views that lead them to hurt other people.
It's not so much "rehabilitation helps reduce chances of reoffending" so much as "punishment increases risk of reoffending".
It's important to know that rape is about a power play, and as such I believe there's ways to deal with that perceived loss of power without increasing chances of reoffending. I AM NOT DEFENDING THEIR ACTIONS. I am simply saying as a person that's experienced sexual harassment, I would prefer the option that's more likely to reduce the chances of reoffending over the option that's probably going to increase it.
And lastly child predators. I'd like to state I'm not apologizing for child predators. I'm not saying they're okay. I'm not advocating for them. I do not feel safe around them and I don't blame anyone that does. However. I'm looking at this as a "You look at the numbers. What does science say is the best way to protect children from them?" This is a very emotional topic and has to be viewed as straight facts and numbers to get the best results.
First, listening to people with minor attraction. I do not support these people. However, listening to them, many of them understand their desires are wrong and want to be rehabilitated. And why do we not provide that? I'm not throwing them pity. I'm just saying "If it'll protect children by treating them, why do we not provide treatment options." If people with this issue know it's an issue and want to fix it. Why can't they seek medical help? All I'm saying. From the "this makes sense to protect children" perspective.
Second. The pure statistics. If the child predator believes in it and actually wants to get better, it is proven that therapy and treatment can decrease the chances of them offending again. (If they don't want to get help, that's likely an empathy problem which I've already discussed).
And if these people are deeply struggling and want to seek help, is it not their right as a human fucking being to seek help? Like if they really want to get better and they are deeply disturbed by their thoughts, is in not their right as a human to seek treatment?
And Norway specifically has rehabilitation based prisons and the stats are ridiculously positive. They show real results from rehabilitation-based systems.
For the record. I'm not saying ANY of these people deserve sympathy. I'm saying it's our duty as a humane and just society to treat them like human beings, and not animals. And it's our duty to potential victims to choose the path that reduces chances of reoffending.

@jeeyuns @wildlife4life and @thewolvesof1998 tagged me in the fic stats meme!
Rules: post your fic with the most hits, the second most kudos, third most comments, fourth most bookmarks fifth most words and least words!
Most hits: all my life, there you go
"Alright," Eddie whispers, and since this is half a dream anyway he lets his hand cradle Buck's chin for a moment as they part. Buck smiles at him, easy, the brightest thing in here at 3 AM with the kitchen lights set to dim.
Drabble prompts from tumblr!
Second most kudos: also all my life, so I’ll plug take you in and make you mine, because I just posted the second chapter
He unlocks the door thinking a little nonsensically about the buddy system. We have to stick together, he thinks as Buck moves immediately to the heating controls, turning the AC on with a familiar clank-hum, it’s safer that way. Buck turns to face him, opens his mouth to say something but then Eddie is there, closing the distance, kissing him. We have to stick together Buck’s lips are warm so we won’t get lost and the noise he makes isn’t as surprised as it maybe should be so we can take care of each other but he still pulls back it’s safer, please, it’s safer this way.
Eddie should know better. Buck’s known for awhile. Maddie learns something new.
Third most comments: pick me, choose me, love me
Eddie wants to scream. Eddie wants to talk to Buck. There are questions he should ask - Do you know when the bleeding started? How long has it been? How bad does it hurt? Are you injured anywhere else? There is a conversation he wants to have - If I leave you here I don’t know that you’ll be alive when I get back. There are protocols, in disaster situations. If you can only save one person, you save the one most likely to survive. Beyond protocol, you always fucking save the kid. Beyond that, it's our kid. It’s our fucking kid, it’s Christopher, and I am going to get him to the surface and in doing so I am going to leave you for dead. But it’s Buck, and they never really needed words to talk, and Buck is still looking at him, and Eddie knows what he'd say. He'd downplay the injury. He knows the protocol. And he’d already said it, damned him out loud, he’s going to take you back up top and then come back for me.
Fourth most bookmarks: maybe fall in love
It's a pretty graceless confession but last Eddie checked it was 87° and, as a reminder, 3:46 in the goddamn morning. Whenever he'd occasionally let himself imagine this moment it had been a lot sweeter, maybe candles, maybe flowers, a big emotional recounting of exactly how much Buck means to him and how much his life has changed for the better because he's in it, but Eddie really thinks he should be cut some slack given the circumstances.
Fifth most words: like all good things are
By the time they dig down to where Chimney’s buried he’s barely conscious and laying in a puddle of his own blood. Buck wants to look anywhere else, but the only other option in the cramped space is to look at Hen, and he doesn’t want to do that because he knows what he’ll see there: the particular tight jaw expression she gets when things have gone bad. And Buck isn’t the team paramedic but he’s EMT certified like every other firefighter in the city and he knows this is bad, even if Chimney manages a bloody chuckle and says “Took you long enough.”
Least words: also maybe fall in love, so I’ll plug all the work that needs to be done because it’s the only one that didn’t qualify for any of these
Buck nods, two slow movements like any action at all pains him. Eddie isn’t sure how literal or metaphorical that statement is, and wants to tell him again to let a doctor look at him, but they’ve had that argument several times already tonight and Buck had a look in his eyes like- like Eddie doesn’t even know what, but whatever would have happened if he’d kept pushing would not have been good, so he’d let it drop and stuck close to his side. "She shouldn't be alone."
Bobby dies. Eddie worries. Life goes on.

i just got all the achievements on neo twewy after weeks and heres some stuff i learned (no spoilers btw)
lets see
the one for being a frequent customer you get when that repeat option shows up on their menu
at tokyu hands you can trade 2 gem pins for another one, the pairs are rare metal and tektite, adamantite and orichalcum, and shadow and dark matter scarletite is an ultimate drop only
if you want to grind stats:
style - 300 cap (you only need 222) - air in a can (vegelovers - tower records)
attack - 500 cap - that spicy black ramen i forgot the name (suzu slurps - dogenzaka)
hp and defense - 999 and 500 cap respectively - tuna head (sby bbq - tipsy tose hall)
scramble slam sucks but heres how you get the rewards:
put the game on ultimate and reduce your level, you get more points this way
the way you get points is by doing beatdrop combos which means you need a lot of enemies that last
also theres a multiplier that goes up by 0,4x everytime you do a combo in battle up to a max 5x, save the enemy with the 3x until you max the multiplier
make the biggest chain you can with JUST ONE slam noise, thats enough to make the whole chain track points, also you can do chain battles with rival players too just let the noise get you then walk up to the player, once youre done, leave the area then come back so the noise respawn
anyways, equip the basic shockwave and force rounds pins so you slowly kill enemies, equip the rest of your party members with pins you want to grind just make sure they dont have x or y inputs
start attacking with shockwave, once the beatdrop circle shows up switch to force rounds only when its past half (delaying a pin gives it a bit of time to regen, enough to give you one extra full use), repeat the process with force rounds, you can make the most of the pins this way, its like, 5 uses of shock and 4 of rounds, a lot of combos
youre gonna make a fuckton of points this BUT chains are gonna be LONG AS FUCK, 40 minutes up to an hour, be warned
second slam is going to be a massive pain in the ass it took me 8 chains to do it (would be less if i remembered to reduce level)
theres a limited amount of the ion trade pins, theres a few you can miss, look it on gamefaqs i dont remember them, youre gonna need all of them for all the pins and threads
you cant get all the fp you need to complete the network by just doing quests and gold dives on regular days, youre gonna need some extra 15 points you get from a LONG dive in another day, its 10 rounds long and kinda hard, the last round is the worst, its two angry bears and a t rex noise (also angry) save a killer remix for this round, the t rex deals a fuckton of damage and if it eats one party member you wont survive the roar that comes next, watch out
hog healer and affinity weaknesses are your best friends for tough fights remember this
for the love of god grind pp on easy on another day, difficulty doesnt change the pp you get (i think the same applies to xp)
the noisepedia completion gives you a graffiti when you hit 80% but youre gonna need 100% for it to count on the save file complete percentage
ive seen ultimate shibuya hikarie w3d5 and ultimate cat street another day be recommended for money grinding but for the most part i disagree (bc i died often, you need high drop rates for these methods)
the way i do it is ultimate o-east w1d5, the chains last less than a minute and only give like 180 to 200 thousand yen, a lot less than the other methods but the short chains make up for it, this method is also good for grinding food (you do need to take the longest route for the tuna heads which can be infuriating considering the load times)
most secret reports are unlocked by defearting boss noise, 3 of them unlock by network completion, the last one only when you get all others, also boss noise respawn if you come back to the area so you dont have to redo the day like in og twewy
its safer to increase drop rate by threads than decreasing level remember that for annoying fights dont worry most abilities arent that good anyway (I NEVER GOT THAT ONE THAT SAVES YOU FROM A FATAL ATTACK TO WORK FUCK THIS GAME)
plague noise only show up on story fights so you cant chain them, go in with high drop rates, you fight almost all of them in quick succession in the day you have to go after that guy, w3d6 i think?
the last boss is the only boss noise you cant chain also for some reason you can soundsurf when it starts throwing balls at you, use that to get groove
for the superboss on another day i recommend using hog healer (to heal), fang defender (to protect yourself from its HIGHLY damaging dash attack wich you can also dodge, but i found it harder and using this pin fully heals you if you get it right), and a lot of pins you can use at once in an all out attack, if one party member gets attacked the other ones will keep going, i recommend using darkness pins since they can stun and pins with easy beatdrop conditions, use killer remixes only when the armor is up, most of the fight is dodging
just do the time trial on easy no one cares anyway
for the remind graffiti theres like one or two you can miss, again, look it up on gamefaqs bc i forgor💀
you dont need to get 100% drop for the worst fights, thats what killer remix is for, 75% is fine, its worse to make a long ass chain than it is to just do another fight
i need to explain how the killer remix drop rates work so heres how:
YOU DONT GET 0,5x PER PARTY MEMBER
thats why youre probably wondering why it isnt always 3x
the way it works is that you get a 0,5 per pin that has that little ready above it (thats what its for, i always wondered that) to get that ready you need to use that pin in a beatdrop combo either as the one that starts or the one that ends it
synergy abilities apply for the whole party strangely enough
theres a thread that gives you more time with pig noise, anyway brute forcing with killer remixes usually work no matter what
shiba is a toxic bottom
anyway thats all
as for what i think abt the game now that im DONE with it, love it honestly, and despite the fact it didnt meet sales expectations i think, im still hopeful for it, twewy survived bc it was so beloved by the devs i guess so theres that, also imagine if next games were on other cities famous for their urban culture that would be so fashion like

Hiiiii so the update was amazing. I. Cannot wait for the ESPIONAGE ooooooh this is gonna be so messy YES. Also. Y TERRIFIES me but is also,,,so hot. Um. An unrelated question-a classic in the IF realm, if you will: What is one thing the characters need to hear, want to hear, and dread to hear? From romanced!MC for extra juiciness but I'm not picky, we know this.
Hey ❤ Sooo happy you enjoyed it! I live for the mess that is of my own design (I say joyously as I cry juggling numerous interpersonal stats before we even got to the meaty parts).
As for the fantastic question, I can only do the Trio and Ianthe, trust me, this is for the greater good 😔 Romanced!MC version, of course, because angst is the juice!
Arthur needs to hear: "No one is chasing you. It's just me here." wants to hear: "It was never even a choice to begin with." dreads to hear: "oh Arthur, if only there was someone out there who loved you"
Darla needs to hear: that she is more than the expectations, self-imposed or not wants to hear: "How about we travel for a bit, just you and I?" dreads to hear: that they cannot trust her
Gale needs to hear: "Stop and think, listen to yourself. What do you want?" wants to hear: "I think it's funny, in a way, that I happen to feel safer with you around." dreads to hear: nothing. He would much rather take their anger, disgust or iron-hot hatred than utter indifference.
Ianthe needs to hear: that one way or another they will always meet each other (at least) half-way wants to hear: their name dreads to hear: that she is weird, that being with her is too much for them, that she embarrasses them

Haha jokes on me I’m failing to do my AU Roulette work so— 9 and 18 for Miriam, 23 and 34 for Elmo, and 13 and 18 for Miguel, from the Sidestep ask game? :)
thank u for the ask and the meme! and also: 🤝 au roulette. sorry to those fics they are simply W without the IP by now.
cut for length? i’m on mobile <33 i don’t know how this is going to format
MIRIAM
9 how honest are they?
- she more… withholds information than outright lies. what you get is the (sometimes semi-filtered) truth, but you do get exceedingly little. the thing is—she’s bad at it. under physical and emotional pressure (e.g. ortega’s apartment) she’s liable to let things slip, which can be… inconvenient. funnily enough, if she didn’t hate the idea of having to keep up the lie, she’d be a phenomenal liar. she makes it work a bit like gambling: it’s not that you trust her—you’d be a fool to trust her entirely—can you really afford to put her to the test?
18 what is their greatest fear?
being lonely. being unforgivable. on the opposite end: being under someone else’s thumb forever. these are not that far apart. the natural cost of refusing to let people close enough to control you, is that you never let them close enough to love you either. and then you miss them like an open wound and they have control over you forever anyway.
ELLIAN
23 how do they feel about possessing people?
HA like they recognize that objectively it’s a bad thing to do, and they’re not going to try to possess you to your face but otherwise no real qualms. hero/villain possessions like with argent are rare: pain in the ass, don’t shit in your own backyard type stuff. mostly little things like the puppet at the beginning of rebirth: pick someone up, dust them off, do some minor job—then put them down, safe and only a little confused after. maybe even drop them where they were going. if elmo was, you know, mangling a guy’s brain on the reg, they’d feel a little weirder, but as it stands they’re confident enough in their own telepathic skill that they don’t really feel the need to feel bad. nice and easy: you won’t feel a thing.
34 are they nostalgic for their sidestep days or eager to move on?
they… miss the optimism. the certainty that they were doing the right thing the best way they knew how. the feeling of trusting someone to have your back. elmo still likes being liked, even after everything. but what they really don’t like, is being pushed back and covered up. going back to sidestep days means ignoring all the shitty things that happened after—and if it means addressing the issue and getting payback, then they just have to accept that that time in their life is irrecoverable. of course things are worse now: the truth is out. (this is what they get so mad at ortega for. what do you mean we’re back in the good old days?)
MIGUEL
13 do they want to be well-known, or do they prefer to remain obscure?
his arrogance stat is at—16? which is so funny for a guy who is actively harassing the kingpin of LD. i think he wants to be… widely-known, but not well. on a personal level, that’s safer, for him and the people who really know him: chentega, the rangers, bo and the crew, even mortum.
but on a professional level? it makes it easier to build an organization when no one knows what they’re looking for. the public has no face, no name, no discernable agenda, but he’s there and the other shoe will drop someday. hollow ground can keep the name: he doesn’t want to be at the forefront of the city’s cultural consciousness, but he’s seating himself somewhere deep in the urban amygdala.
18 what is their greatest fear?
he would say that the greatest fear has already happened. by “dying” as sidestep, he found out exactly how little he mattered to the system and the world at large. whatever good he tried to do as a hero and as an individual got washed away in the end, and for his troubles he got years of physical and mental torment. so like—there’s not much worse it can get!
but that’s mostly a coverup: haha, i’m not scared anymore, he says, scared. these days he mostly worries about things getting out of hand. he’s not afraid of losing, not afraid of death—he’s nervous that he will eventually be overtaken and destroyed by the consequences of his own actions. so he prunes it down, tightens the leash, keeps the inner circle small and his connections private—gets rid of anything that unmoors him from the reality of his situation. and hopefully that’s enough.

Final Fantasy Record Keeper Final Fantasy VII Crystal Dungeons
The Crystal Dungeons are currently the hardest kind of fight in the Final Fantasy Record Keeper (FFRK) mobile game. There are 2 kinds of Crystal Dungeons - the Portal of Creation and the Portal of Antiquity.
The Portal of Creation features elemental quests while the Portal of Antiquity features realm quests.
Tumblr media
Right now, the Portal of Antiquity only has 2 dungeons - the Final Fantasy VII Memories of Antiquity - Gaia and the Final Fantasy VIII Memories of Antiquity - Heart.
The Final Fantasy VII Memories of Antiquity - Gaia Crystal Dungeon features 2 quests:
Tumblr media
Bizarro Sephiroth - quest level 600
Safer Sephiroth - quest level 700
Tumblr media
There are rewards for being able to sub-30 these quests. Rewards for the quest level 700 fight also includes the materials needed to break the level cap of the Final Fantasy VII Historia Crystal from Level 120 to Level 140.
Tumblr media
You can also get a new wardrobe record for Aeris or Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII (#ad) known as FF VII-CC Guise. This features Aerith’s dress from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
Tumblr media
The boss of the quest level 600 fight is Bizarro Sephiroth (Zenith) while the boss of the quest level 700 fight is Safer Sephiroth (Zenith).

Final Fantasy Record Keeper End of Service Announcement
Had no plans to do any of these fights anytime soon. These quests were pemanent so I could do them whenever I wanted.
But unfortunately, Final Fantasy Record Keeper just recently announced that it was gonna end its service on September 29, 2022. I talk more about that in another post.
Tumblr media
I really wish this didn’t have to happen. I don’t want FFRK to end, at least not anytime soon.
Since the game is ending already, decided to try the quests in the Crystal Dungeons now.
Final Fantasy VII Realm Team
My Final Fantasy VII realm team consists of the following chars:
Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII
Aeris or Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII
Barret Wallace from Final Fantasy VII
Vincent Valentine from Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII
Genesis Rhapsodos from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Relics and Stats List
Currently, Genesis is my absolute, most fave Final Fantasy char. He’s the reason why I started playing Final Fantasy Record Keeper. Have all of his relics and he’s as fully built as possible.
Tumblr media
True Arcane Soul Break (TASB) or Arcane Dyad Soul Break (ADSB), LOVELESS
Limit Break Overstrike (LBO) or Limit Break Over Flow (LBOF), Light of Doom
Synchro Arcane Soul Break (SASB), Purgatorial Wave
Awakened Arcane Soul Break (AASB), Genesis Rhapsody
Arcane Overstrike Soul Break (AOSB), SOLDIER’s Epic

Glint Soul Break (G), Epic of Destruction
Default Soul Break, Laceration
Legend Materia 1, Rhapsodic Recitation
Legend Materia 2, Project G Creation
Legend Materia Relic (LMR), Fierce Opposition
Tumblr media
Since the game was about to end already anyway, went ahead and fully honed all of Genesis’s Soul Breaks that can be honed instead of waiting until I get more dupes. I talk more about that in this post.
Other than that, Genesis is already fully maxed out in every way. Well, except with regards to his Magia Crystals. But that’s always been a slow-going process.
Tumblr media
I thought that I’d always have time and that I’ll eventually be able to max out all of Genesis’s Magia Crystals but unfortunately, now that FFRK is ending soon, that’ll never happen anymore.
Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII Relics List
Have the following relics for Sephiroth:
Tumblr media
Limit Break Chain (LBC), Woven Bond: Sephiroth - Dark
Limit Break Overstrike (LBO) or Limit Break Over Flow (LBOF), Dark Illumination

Legend Materia 2, Jenova’s Echo
Legend Materia Relic 1 (LMR1), Fateful Secret
LMR2, Apocalyptic Hero
LMR3, Cruelest Cut
LMR+, Refinement (Sephiroth)
Yeah, I have basically all of Sephi’s relics. The only one I’m missing for him is his Dual Awakening Soul Break 1 (DASB1), Awoken Octaslash. I really hate that I wasn’t able to get this.
Tumblr media
And it’s definitely not for lack of trying. When Sephiroth’s Dual first showed up in Final Fantasy Record Keeper, I tried pulling for it.
I talk more about that in this post, but the main point is that, sadly, no matter how many times I pulled on the banner said Dual was featured in, was never able to get it.
Went 10 pulls deep on that banner, spending hundreds of mythril, until I was all out, and yet I couldn’t even manage to get all the relics featured there.
Was really frustrated and annoyed about that. Still am, really. Eff the crappy, trashy rates on this game. And now that FFRK is ending, I’ll never be able to get Sephiroth’s Dual. Sigh.
Aerith Gainsborough Relics List
Have the following relics for Aerith:
Dual Awakening Soul Break (DASB), Awoken White Materia
Awakened Arcane Soul Break 1 (AASB1), Star Pulse
AASB2, Planetary Pulse
Ultra Soul Break 1 (USB1), Hidden Bloom
USB2, Innocent Cure
Glint+ Soul Break 1 (G+1), Refreshing Breeze
G+2, Star Whisper
Burst Soul Break 1 (BSB1), White Materia
BSB2, Prayer of Salvation
Super Soul Break (SSB), Pulse of Life
Unique Soul Break, Planet Protector
Unique Soul Break, Fury Brand
Unique Soul Break, Dragon Force
Unique Soul Break, Healing Wind (VII)
Default Soul Break, Seal Evil
Legend Materia Relic (LMR), Flower of the Slums
Legend Materia 1, Daughter of the Ancients
Legend Materia 2, Motherly Protector
Tumblr media
Was able to get all of Aerith’s relics, all except for her Synchro Arcane Soul Break (SASB), Blue-Eyed Sentinel. Too bad I was never able to get this before. And now I’ll never be able to because the game is ending already. Sigh.
Barret Wallace from Final Fantasy VII Relics List
Have the following relics for Barret:
Limit Break Chain (LBC), Woven Bond: Barret
Dual Awakening Soul Break (DASB), Awoken Ungarmax
Chain Soul Break (CSB), I'm The Leader Here!

Legend Materia Relic+ (LMR+), Swiftness (Barret)
LMR1, Armed and Dangerous
LMR2, Opposition Leader
Legend Materia 1, Hot-Blooded
Legend Materia 2, Vermin Exterminator
Tumblr media
The above list might not be entirely complete or accurate because unfortunately, FFRK ended before I had the chance to double-check my relics list for Barret.
Vincent Valentine from Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Relics List
Have the following relics for Vincent:
Limit Break Overstrike (LBO), Galian Scratch
Chain Soul Break (CSB), Cerberus Soul
Synchro Arcane Soul Break 1 (SASB1), Bestial Claws
SASB2, Chaos Saber
Awakened Arcane Soul Break 1 (AASB1), Chthonian Blaze
AASB2, Galian Saber
Ultra Soul Break 1 (USB1), Lucrecia's Lament
USB2, Dirge of Cerberus
Burst Soul Break 2 (BSB2), Flame Penalty
G+1, Munitions Reload
G, Forsaken Power
LMR2, Beastly Aspect
LMR1, Seeing Red
Legend Materia 1, Turk Among Turks
Legend Materia 2, Beast Within
Tumblr media
The above list might not be entirely complete or accurate because unfortunately, FFRK ended before I had the chance to double-check my relics list for Vincent.
At least I was able to take the above screenshot. Wish I’d been able to take more though so I could have had more info and details and such.
Final Fantasy VII Realm Team Info
Genesis is my main DPS. He deals physical fire elemental damage. I know I’m kinda totally biased but he is really good. He’s capable of dealing lots of damage, especially when given the proper support and buffs and such.
Sephiroth was my secondary DPS. He has Soul Breaks that deal physical dark elemental damage and ones that deal physical fire elemental damage.
Dark is Seph’s primary element. He’s a really good dark DPS. He does well enough as a fire DPS but he’s definitely better as a dark one.
For this fight though, I’m using Sephi as a fire DPS since my current FF7 team is a fire elemental one. My plan was to use all of Sephiroth’s fire relics first then move on to using his dark ones later on, if needed.
Vincent served as another DPS as well as a support. He deals fire elemental damage. He has Soul Breaks that can imperil or lower the enemy’s resistance to the fire element.
Vincent is a hybrid char, meaning he can be made to deal either physical or magical damage depending on which stat currently has a higher number.
Since the rest of my DPS for this fight all deal physical damage, made sure that Vincent’s ATK stat was higher than his MAG stat.
Aerith served as my healer. She’s really good. She’s also a really good support and buffer for physical attackers.
Recently, I ended up honing Aerith’s Planetary Pulse Awakening to the max. It’s now at Rank 15 of 15 which means I can now use this twice per fight.
Tumblr media
Normally, Awakenings can only be used once per fight unless they’ve been honed to the max.
IIRC, I honed Aerith’s AASB2 a few days or so before FFRK was gonna end. Was really rushing now and trying to finish as much of Final Fantasy Record Keeper’s content as I could before the end.
Sadly, I didn’t have as much time as I wanted to play the game before it ended. I really wish we could have gotten more time.
Anyway, didn’t bother honing Aerith’s AASB1 because her honed AASB2 was more than enough already. Having her Dual helped as well.
Since I have so many BDL relics for her, I never felt like I needed a second use of her AASB1. And usually, fights will be over by the time I finish using all of Aeris’s BDL relics.
Bizarro Sephiroth Quest Level 600 Fight
Was a little worried about trying the Bizarro Sephiroth fight in the Final Fantasy VII Memories of Antiquity - Gaia Crystal Dungeon. I thought it might be too hard.
Tumblr media
If Final Fantasy Record Keeper wasn’t ending yet, would have waited until I had even more Final Fantasy VII relics before trying this fight. I would have wanted to have an even more stacked realm team before tackling this quest.
But now I had no choice but to just try this fight now if I didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity of doing so before FFRK ends.
To my surprise, actually managed to get the win. This quest level 600 fight was surprisingly pretty easy. Well, my FF7 team is already pretty stacked enough as-is but still.
Tumblr media
Really glad I was able to get the win. Everyone did really well. Was able to beat Bizarro Sephiroth in 34.55 seconds.
Tumblr media
Too bad I missed out on being able to sub-30 this fight but still really pleased that I was able to get the win. Having multiple BDL relics for multiple chars really helps.
Safer Sephiroth Quest Level 700 Fight Take 1
After beating Bizarro Sephiroth, it was now time to try the Safer Sephiroth quest level 700 fight.
Tumblr media
Since the Bizarro Sephiroth fight didn’t turn out to be that bad, I thought the Safer Sephiroth quest would be the same.
It wasn’t though. For one, it was definitely harder when compared to the Bizarro Sephiroth quest. But it still seemed manageable enough. It didn’t seem that bad at first.
Was able to get past the first 2 phases well enough. But then things started going wrong when I got to phase 3.
Tumblr media
Now, seemingly all of a sudden, my chars couldn’t break the damage cap anymore, not even while under the effects of their BDL relics.
Not only were my DPS dealing crappy damage, my healer was now also having a hard time keeping up with the constant attacks from Safer Sephiroth.
With my chars dealing chip damage per turn and with them basically hitting like wet noodles, the fight started to drag so it wasn’t long before my party got hit with the auto-eject move. By then Safer Sephiroth was only down to 35.0% HP.
Tumblr media
Since I didn’t get the win, only got some of the rewards from this fight. One of these rewards enabled me to level up my Final Fantasy VII Historia Crystal from 120 to 130. To get it to Level 140, need to actually win against Safer Sephiroth.
Plans for the Safer Sephiroth Quest Level 700 Fight
When I first tried the Safer Sephiroth fight, there were only like 2 or so days left before FFRK was gonna end. I really want to clear this quest but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to before the game ends. Gonna keep trying so we’ll see, I guess.
But before I try again, need to tweak my party first. If I had even more BDL relics for Genesis, Sephiroth, and Vincent, maybe I’d be able to get the win against Safer Sephiroth but since I don’t, gonna need to try something else.
Decided to drop Vincent and replace him with Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII.

Have most of Cloud’s relics. The only relics I’m missing for Cloud are his LBO, Sync 2, AASB2, BSB3, and LMR3. Too bad I was never able to get any of these before. And now I’ll never be able to because the game is ending already. Sigh.
Anyway, Cloud is a really good physical DPS. He has Soul Breaks that deal either wind or dark elemental damage. He’s better as a wind DPS though. In fact, he’s one of the best wind DPS in this game.
Cloud’s Ultra Cross Slash USB gives him BDL9. IIRC, he and Sephiroth are the only ones in FFRK who can get up to BDL9. For Sephi, his Zanshin USB is the one that gives him BDL9.
Safer Sephiroth vs Genesis, Sephiroth, Cloud, Barret, and Aerith
After gearing Cloud, tried the Safer Sephiroth fight again. Having Cloud on the team really helped, especially since I have a lot of relics for him.
Tumblr media
Of course, I unfortunately couldn’t bring all of his stuff since each char can only equip up to 10 Soul Breaks so just made sure to bring all of Cloud’s most important relics.
Cloud was able to deal a lot of damage. He doesn’t have much synergy with Genesis and Sephiroth since he doesn’t have any fire relics. Since Cloud was better as a wind DPS, brought his wind-type Soul Breaks to this fight.
Cloud’s Chains are really good too. They helped to increase everyone’s damage output. Too bad both Chains can only be used once per fight.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, even with Cloud as part of my team, still wasn’t able to get the win. This time, only managed to get Safer Sephiroth down to 47.4% before everyone died.
Tumblr media
A bit later on, tried the fight again. By now FFRK was set to end in a few hours so was really running out of time now. Decided to just keep trying the Safer Sephiroth fight until the end.
Because I do want to clear this quest and I want to keep using my Final Fantasy VII team. Want to keep using Genesis. Really don’t want to say goodbye to him or this game yet.
Anyway, fared much better on my next try. Somehow, actually managed to get to phase 4 of this fight.
Tumblr media
But everyone’s damage really dropped when I got to this part of the fight. Then Safer Sephiroth actually got up to Rage Level 4. Normally, enemies can only get up to Rage Level 3.
While under the effects of their BDL relics, my chars can lower an enemy’s rage level easily enough.
But for this fight, I’ve found that it’s near impossible for my chars to break the damage cap and lower Safer Sephiroth’s rage level if it’s currently at 4. My chars just couldn’t deal enough damage now.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, Safer Sephiroth continued attacking my chars. He afflicted everyone with a Doom debuff that has a 10-turn duration. Then he also ended up paralyzing Genesis and Cloud.
Tumblr media
Aerith couldn’t keep up with all this damage. It didn’t help that my DPS were all hitting like wet noodles basically all the time now.
So it was only a matter of time before Safer Sephiroth killed everyone again. At least this time I was able to get him down to 28.2% HP before the battle ended.
Tumblr media
Kept trying this fight again and again but it was no use. Still couldn’t get the win. The most damage I managed to deal to Safer Sephiroth was 71.8%.

End of Final Fantasy Record Keeper Mobile Game
And that’s it. It’s all over now. At the time I’m writing this part of this post, it’s way past September 29, 2022 so FFRK has just ended its service. Ahh, I still wish that this didn’t have to happen now or anytime soon.
I tried but sadly, wasn’t able to finish all the content in Final Fantasy Record Keeper before the end. I talk more about that in another post.
Also sadly, wasn’t able to beat Safer Sephiroth. Kept trying the fight again and again until the end but it was no use. Never got the win. Now that it’s all over, can’t do this fight ever again which really sucks.
It also sucks that I missed out on the Crisis Core Aerith costume. Wish I could have had the chance to try out said costume even for just a little bit. Also never got to fully level up my Final Fantasy VII Historia Crystal.
Never even got a chance to try the Final Fantasy VIII Crystal Dungeons fights. Yeah, there are lots of things that I’m just never gonna be able to do now that FFRK is over. Sigh.
Another thing that’s really upsetting is the way Final Fantasy Record Keeper ended. Its end feels so anticlimactic. Truly a letdown of epic proportions. The game could have tried to do more before everything ended.
Tumblr media
But instead, even before the end, FFRK felt dead already. We stopped getting any new events long before the end.
We got a special banner and some tickets that we could use to pull on said banner. I talk more about that in another post, but we’d get like 1 ticket per day as part of some login bonus campaign or something.
That only lasted for like 30 days or so though. But why couldn’t they have made it last until the end? Why couldn’t they have given us more free pulls?
Why couldn’t they have adjusted the rates or something? Why couldn’t they have made it so that these daily free 10-draws would give us at least 1 6-star or 7-star Soul Break or something?
They didn’t even refresh the Realm and Elemental banners or given us more mythril and Realm/Elemental x11 tickets.
The game could have gone out with a bang but it feels like it all just ended in disappointment.
Conclusion
So what about you? Have you done any of the quests in the Crystal Dungeons? What do you think about these fights? What do you think about the fact that the Final Fantasy Record Keeper mobile game is all over now? Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions by leaving a comment below or by reblogging or replying to this post.

Hello! Oh shit, your blorbo fucked up. MASSIVELY. They need help. Like stat! Who do they go to and why do they go to that person above anyone else?
Hi! Thank you for the Ask!
(Sorry for not answering earlier)
I have many Blorbos/OCs - which are the cast of characters in my medieval dark fantasy novel The Last Wrath - so I will choose 3 for this answer!
RAELEN ASHIREN - One of the Main Characters from the book series, I firmly believe that, if she was in a situation like this, she would most certainly go to one of her two brothers, Julyan and Azra - though it would most likely be Julyan the one she would go to first for help. She would go to them above anyone else for quite a few reasons, one of them being that they're her only remaining family in the world (even though only Julyan is her biological older brother and Azra is adopted and around her age), and she has been raised by Julyan ever since she was a little kid, which makes him the person she trusts more than anyone else and the one she looks for in situations where she needs safety, certainty or help of any kind. Julyan is a pretty confident guy, and would most likely be able to adapt and find a quick solution to the situation at hand. Azra may not be as confident, but he is determined and relentless, so she knows he is one of the few people that wouldn't stop until they find the help she needs.
NYX FAESTORM - A pretty new character to my works, this Faery would, most likely, search for Kaden and Sybil in times of trouble - as the human twins have been his most trustworthy and loyal friends for the longest time when compared to his newer acquaintances. If the trouble is really serious, Sybil would be his best bet to find a safer way out, since she is pretty feral when it comes to protecting her friends and is most likely to be "no holds barred" in any kind of scuffle. However, if the trouble is of a more delicate kind or requires more subtlety, then Kaden would be his answer since the young human bard knows his way with words masterfully and is pretty good at improvisating on the fly.
MORWAN DESTRIN - A very independent character in my book, Morwan is used to never needing to depend on others for help and is extremely good at it. But if things really came down to it, and Morwan had to - begrudgingly - admit she has majorly screwed up and is in real trouble she can't solve alone, the first person she would go to is Ellinor Dallantes, an old friend with whom she had cut ties a while back, but whom she knows to be the only person she can trust (other than her girlfriend Nadinne, but Morwan would never go to Nadinne in a situation like this because that might put her girlfriend in danger) and who has the means to make her troubles disappear easily, even if she'd be hesitant to admit it.

CPTSD, kinda borderline ☠️ just ND in general, general trigger warning for ED stuff, SH, Drugs, and whatever tf comes along with that (it’s a wild ride)
✨Chronically ill & immunocompromised so that’s a thing✨
Am very pro recovery!!!! and was actively in it recently till I gained weight and everything else happening just kinda put the ED first and foremost, don’t really have anyone irl I can talk to about this so I thought I’d remake my old account!!! (Old one got banned in like 2020 or smth), and feel like it’s a safer way to journal/vent than a physical book.
Not pro ED or anything like that, but I understand it’s a sickness/mega fucks up your brain and is extremely hard to control, and sometimes it’s better to have a community who understands it rather than isolating urself in ur room and being even more destructive ya know- I don’t know if that makes sense but it’s my stance ya know-
Don’t fuck w fatspo and general DNI if ur like genuinely fatphobic tho because that’s not the vibe, I’m queer and everyone is hot ya know, and regardless of wether ur attracted to someone or not they still deserve basic respect and decency!!! Just generally be kind to ppl unless they’ve like been a massive dickhead ya know-
I need to get back into drawing/writing, but I’ve been knitting a lot, really like stardew valley, animals in general, fashion/costume design! Fruit, greys anatomy, music, TikTok, and reading when I can!!!! Love LOTR, Buffy, BNHA, some marvel, wanna watch more horror in general!

Chapter 13- Part 9
Tumblr media
Cradily’s gonna launch Smack Down on the next turn, no doubt- how about it? One more boosted Icy Wind for the road?
Tumblr media
And now to deal with those pesky Defense boosts. Caldera’s moment to shine, now!
Tumblr media
With Cradily’s Speed lowered so much, Caldera should have no trouble with this before getting stoned to death: Clear Smog to reverse the stat changes!
Tumblr media
And…now I’m starting to remember why I wanted to use Glare and Paralysis to slow down Cradily- so the Speed drop wouldn’t get removed by Clear Smog. Well- too late now.
Tumblr media
And as the mist clears again, it’s time to bring in the Pokémon that will actually bring this down: Glare, for real this time!
Tumblr media
With Cradily’s Defenses back to normal and Glare likely being faster anyways, Crunch seems like the best option for the most damage! One or two should do the-
Tumblr media
Its fourth move is Recover!? OH, YOU CHEEKY, PREHISTORIC SEA PLANT! Alright then- we’ll just have to deal more damage than it can heal, before the sandstorm damage (yes, it put Sandstorm back up) takes too much of a toll on Glare. Stockpile your way out of Screech, why don’t ya!?
Tumblr media
C’mon, Crunch did so good before even without the Defense drop, this has to work! It can’t keep healing!
Tumblr media
IT CAN’T KEEP HEALING! More Screech, less Defense, even more damage!
Tumblr media
IT CAN’T!! KEEP!! HEALING!! YOU CAN’T STOP ALL OF THE DAMAGE!!
Tumblr media
AAAAAAAAAAAH-
Tumblr media
YOU AGAIN! We’re finishing it off this time- time for Decibel to come back out!
Tumblr media
You know what I’m about- Air Cutter, let’s bring it down!
Tumblr media
…Oh, right, I forgot about Spore. Well…I’ve only got one Sleep-healing item left, but I can’t waste it only for Decibel to be put back to sleep right away, I still need to slow this thing down.
Here’s what we’ll do- bring Glare back in (after healing her a bit), paralyze Breloom first, then heal Decibel and send her back in. Glare can outspeed a Breloom, right-?
Tumblr media
She can! And now we bring in Decibel, who should be faster now…
Tumblr media
And as long as Air Cutter doesn’t miss, this should be it, right? It’s a strong-ish Flying-type move against a Grass/Fighting-type, that should be instant KO?
Tumblr media
It was! One Air Cutter was all it took!
And now…Florinia’s final Pokémon…what could she possibly be hiding in the back of her party after all this?
Tumblr media
…Well, that’s not a Rotom, definitely. It’s part Fairy-type, which is bad for Decibel, but Glare’s asleep and I’m all out of Sleep-healing items. Guess we’ve got no choice but to give this a try- hopefully it doesn’t know any Fairy-type moves.
Tumblr media
Air Cutter or Wing Attack…? It’s Sp. Defense is a bit worse, isn’t it? So Air Cutter might be better, but Wing Attack is more accurate…I think I’ll go with Wing Attack, just to be safer.
Tumblr media
Alright, Decibel’s been hit with Leech Seed, which is annoying, but it’s nothing terrible. I’m certain this has Prankster, so whatever powder move it has is likely to go first…as long as it’s not Sleep Powder, we’ll be good.
Tumblr media
Ah! Aha! Poison Powder missed!! That’s even better! Just a few more Wing Attacks, just a little more- c’mon, we’re so close!!
Tumblr media
IT KEEPS MISSING! ABSOLUTE CRINGEFAIL! JUST A LITTLE MORE, DECIBEL, LET’S FINISH THIS!!
Tumblr media
AAAAAND THAT’S ALL, FOLKS!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hah…haaaaah…whoa…we actually did that on the first try again…wow…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wow, that’s a huge gap between now and the next Badge- what on earth are we gonna be getting up to in the next few sessions?

One more before the new year, focusing on my new acquisitions from this month. And also one other that just makes me very happy.
Vs. Hala I started wanting to test out SS Roxie, and opted for H!Iris as the solution. This core works. I'm really satisfied with this. I think Roxie could stand to have some extra investment, but I don't know if I want to put in that kind of work right yet. Still, very impressed with her performance. Pop Max Move right away, queue the TM before the foe gets a move up, and you're on pace for the first sync. Lodge Jasmine is actually optimal with this, having Team Sharp Entry to alleviate Sharp Entry off Iris' grid, and giving the exact +2 Sp Atk they both need alongside some bulk. Roxie's DPS is also way better than I was led to believe. She was hitting like 4k on sides post-EX Support sync. With split damage, 4k is really strong. If you quad queue to reach a second sync, you're basically covered. Iris and an invested Roxie could easily sync what's left. Thankfully, Alola isn't that tough, so we got away with it.
Vs. Olivia A bit cheating, but NC Nate time. I really messed this one up, because I tried to sync with Caitlin forgetting I was going for the Dragon Zone, and Olivia got a KO on her so then we had to fall back on nonsense. Nate's only 2/5 so it's slightly dire. Still, they managed it. A full 3/5 Nate would've shitstomped this fight so hard. It's staggering.
Vs. Acerola And now I thought about Palmer again. I actually tried Palmer first, but couldn't get him to work with lesser tools. At 1/5 uninvested, SC Steven was a requirement to reach needed damage numbers. The -6 Def and +3 pop PMUN was super, super necessary. If I were smarter, I would've put him with Argenta for gauge management and more PMUN, but Anabel's fine. I like getting Anabel to be relevant. The main draw of Palmer is Max Move and Buddy Move. His DPS from Crush Grip kinda sucked? I could get around 8.5k, but that's insufficient on offensive parameters in 3k. I can't even say that it'd work with sync cooldown -2 over the HP +40%, since the Max Move I don't think is sufficient to take out center, but that's what you're relying on. Palmer was either over-hyped on launch, or has been severely hindered by 3k meta. Or the investment of 3/5 EX is hugely different.
Vs. Kahili Physical fight, not my best play bringing Fairies. Worse, she has a skill that, on sync, removes all debuffs. So that's great. We still won. Valerie can't deal anywhere near enough damage with Zone to make this matter, and HP parameters are much safer than offensive because of her issues. What I opted for what Lodge Lillie, who I swear gains greater admiration from me every single time I remember she's there. The offensive debuffs were good, but even more than that? Trap cuts into HP parameters beautifully, and her sync supplements Valerie's, giving a nice Synchro Healing boost in addition, which plays perfectly with this team's survival focus. This is another one that I really, really enjoy running. First time trying it, but big fan.
Vs. Kukui I ran this when Rosa came out, testing out the absurdity of this core. It's still my favorite. Take Five Stats +3 and Five Stats -3, and Will just ignores them entirely by copying to +6 across the board anyway, then having Brycen wipe them away. Rosa can sleep, Brycen can freeze, Rosa's confuse sets up Will's sync which is fairly respectable, Stored Power is excellent DPS with Rosa's rebuff and SMUN stacking. They actually do incredibly well together, much to my continued amazement.

quick vent under the cut. feel free to skip.
it's so frustrating that I was legitimately happy for a few days, and now I feel awful again. I can never be happy. I'm so overwhelmed and I don't know why. guy I do lab prep for was snippy w me today + 5 separate students shattered glassware within 20mins and it fucked me up for the rest of the day. on top of that, my dickhead psych teacher projected the stats for the ACTUAL METHOD that my dad died of. for like half the class, causing me to have flashbacks. it sucks that I can never ask for help, man. telling any 'trusted adult' outside of my family about literally any of my struggles is a 1 way ticket to a psych hospital because no one can understand that I'm suicidal but would never attempt "it's safer" no. it's not. I need one fucking person that will listen and not say "just don't think about it duh" (my mother ACTUALLY says this). somebody that understands that I won't hurt myself. it just really fucking sucks, yk? I'm so stressed I'm fucking crying over my sociology test tmmr even though I KNOW I'm going to ace it bc I got every question on the review right. I wish I knew what was wrong with me. therapy is so inaccessible to my family. being able to have a word for what the fuck causes me to act like this would make me feel so much better. idk. hopefully I feel better tomorrow. sleep tends to help.
