I remember discussing Tintin casting choices with a friend from Germany and remarked how it was odd he often has an English accent in adaptations rather than a Belgian one, and my friend just replied "that's because Tintin gives incredibly strong English boy energy (derogatory)"

Here in the UK there's a lot of weird classism tied into accents. Today accent diversity and representation in broadcasting is actively pursued but in Tintin's time there certainly was a preferred accent to have.

Like, girl, I have unfinished projects from over a decade ago that I refuse to frog on the off chance I decide to finish them. I've found years-old projects I forgot I even started and will impulsively just finish it on the spot. I've started three different projects in the last 2 months, including one I started yesterday, that I already know I may or may not finish within the year depending on motivation.

The number of WIPs I have is infinite.

my HC for ASS trio’s music preferences is that the three of them listen to different kinds of rock music. with sam, he’s into more metal and hardcore punk. abigail is a gothic rock chick, siouxsie and the banshees CHANGED her life. and sebastian is into deep cuts of alt rock (though he enjoys hüsker dü and sonic youth who are more popular). however, they don’t mind each other’s tastes, they even listen to them together and give recommendations. sleepovers in seb’s basement with bauhaus blasting softly as they sleep is like a religious ritual for them.

the three of them shares another bond by hating oasis and clowning them together. sam would play that goddamned intro in acoustic because he's a little shit like that and he'll get oncoming pillows thrown at him.

Thank you for sending this ask bcs now I get to talk about 2011 in particular. There were these special Saturday race suits and they're all so pretty!!! Hugo Boss did a design competition to celebrate their partnership with McLaren and different artists made different designs for the Quali days. They're so beautiful 🥹🥹 Why can't they do anything fun like that now???? I digress, I went through all the Qualis and compiled pics of all of them!!

WIP Wednesday (7/24) | Arsonist Neil / Firefighter Andrew AU (Part 203)

Watching TV together was Andrew’s idea. He suggested it a week or so ago and it took them a couple days to pick a show. Finally, Andrew picked for them. You see, he’d never seen Supernatural before, despite Nicky thirsting after the main character throughout college. But it’s sort of interesting— maybe Andrew understands Nicky’s obsession a little now— and they lucked out. It started a new cycle of re-runs four days ago. So every day, at seven o’clock, they watch TV together.

They’re only a few episodes in and it keeps getting more ridiculous. But 10 thinks it’s hilarious how the main characters use fake names and IDs to do their silly investigating. The special effects are… Well, they’re certainly special. And 10 can guess the jumpscares just before they happen, which is mildly annoying considering Andrew’s jolted a few times himself. 

“See,” Andrew when a demon-possessed man starts to rip the door off a plane. “This is why I don’t fly.”

10 laughs. “I’ve flown plenty. Never seen any black-eyed people.”

“You’re lucky apparently,” Andrew says, filled with unease as the plane starts to crash. Of all the things about this stupid show, Andrew’s afraid of plane crashes. Not the monsters, not the demons. Things that can happen in real life. He sighs in relief when the scene changes.
