Love. Is it a blessing or a curse?

For you..It is a blessing. You think love needs trust, affection, loyalty and all that lovely crap. But if that is true..why does a certain fae not know about your love for him? You were a regular Diasomina student in Night Raven College and you are a second year. You fall in love with Malleus Draconia, the head warden of Diasomnia and future prince. You know, everyone and their grandparents knew you were in love with him but…Malleus didn’t know that. No, he has his attention towards the new magicless student named Yuuken. Even though it is wrong, you can not help but feel a bit of jealousy whenever you see Yuuken and Malleus hanging out together. You heard Yuuken’s story, immediately felt sad for Yuuken and even asked him to be your friend in private. 

‘Love is fine. Love is getting closer.’ You thought to yourself in a naive way as if you were so pleased with everything in your life. In Yuuken’s room, helping him study when you felt a pain in your lungs, turning around and coughing. To say you were horrified when you see blooded blue roses and daffodils in the palms on your hand is an understatement, you were..speechless at the sight. “[Name},” Yuuken spoke up after he saw you standing still. “Are you okay? You are quiet-” Yuuken watches you show the blooded flowers in a way which makes Yuuken feel worried and concerned for you. “Yuuken,” You slowly speak up after a moment of silence. “W-What is this? W-Why am I coughing up these?” The magicless student just stands up and slowly walks towards you with a concerned and serious expression. “You..have..hanahaki disease. A disease of unrequited love.” This shocks you to your core as Yuuken later explains the hanahaki disease.

Hanahaki Disease..one of the two unrequited love diseases. Those who have hanahaki disease will start coughing up flowers. The person will have two choices: Confess their love or get surgery. But if they confess their love to the crush and their love was rejected, the hanahaki disease will claim another victim and if they have surgery, they will live; however they will never have feelings for the person they once loved. The Hanahaki Disease is a very rare yet tragic disease that there are very few reported cases. 

“So..[name], who do you fall in love with?” Yuuken asks the question to which you answer. “Malleus Draconia. However, he did not know about this..my love for him.” you started to cry while Yuuken hugged you tightly as he knows how dangerous yet tragic that disease is to love. “You have to get surgery to remove these flowers..” You heard Yuuken but you..simply refused because you never think that you will have this disease.

“I will not have the surgery..I would rather die than lose my feelings.” Yuuken only looks at you for a second before taking a deep breath. “I see. I will keep this a secret but we have to meet up secretly. If you do not want anyone to worry, trust me with this secret.” You were hesitant and you want to suffer this alone but you can not deny..seeing how Yuuken is so kind to you with no hidden intentions unlike certain people. So the promise was kept between two students one who is Diasomina student and a magicless student 

Malleus was confused by your actions. You were spending less time with him, avoiding him even in the hallways and class. He even watches you hang out with the first years, the second years with a pout on his face, he thinks that you are his friend..a friend who never abandoned him and you just ignore him completely. Lilia is not a fool..he had seen everything despite being the sneaky and mischievous third year. Yet..he cannot help but feel suspicious of you and Yuuken’s behavior. Secretly meeting each other, hearing your coughs while Yuuken comforts you and you both even left the meeting place with no evidence. He needs answers to this so when you and Yuuken are at the woods for another secret meeting, he appears behind Yuuken and speaks joyfully. 

“Hello fellow lads,” You and Yuuken jumped in surprise when Lilia spoke. “A wonderful day in NRC, no? However I can not help but notice that you two are acting so..what is the word?..Ah! Sus are you young lads spoke of.” Yuuken gulps in nervousness as Lilia keeps speaking. “No there is nothing wrong with that but..I want an explanation from either of you two.” Silence fills the air as you three did not speak a word..that is until. “Lilia-senpai.” Yuuken speaks. “We have something to tell you but you must promise that you won’t make a peep of it to anyone..not even Tsunotaro.”

Lilia was…not expecting that from the magicless student but he did not know why this ‘secret’ shouldn’t reach Malleus’s ears. “Explain to me about this and I will determine whether to follow that promise or not.” You look at your feet, biting your lip however you gather your courage to speak. “Lilia..I have hanakai disease..” your voice is..not as strong and confident as Lilia remembers. “W-Who do you fall in love with?” Lilia knows the answer but he wants to hear it from your mouth. “Malleus Draconia. But I will not get surgery..I would rather..perish than lose my feelings for Mally..” Then suddenly, you started to cough up bloody green petals harshly which Yuuken later helped you clean up and take deep breaths with you. 

Lilia was..worry..scared and now deep concern for you. But since this is your wish…he had no choice but to accept it and follow the promise. Lilia and Yuuken only watched as your health is slowly declining. Pale skin, hollow cheeks, your eyes are bloodshot due to crying but you always have a smile on your face even when you can’t walk without looking like a skeleton. ‘This is your wish..we have no choice but to accept it.’ Yuuken and Lilia both speak in their minds while Malleus is oblivious to everything. Oh that poor poor boy..he will soon learn the terrible news that will happen tonight.

“My time is nearing.” You look at the night sky through the window in the empty classroom with Lilia and Yuuken. “It is hard..to live any longer as this disease is slowly killing me. I want to confess my feelings to Malleus but I..I cannot.” You chuckle weakly to yourself. “I think my fear of rejection has finally won.” Lilia went up to you, gave you a peck on the forehead as he saw you like a little sibling/child to him. Yuuken just hugged you tightly with tears flowing down his cheeks. “I will never forget you, [name]. You make my first year in NRC..worth it..Rest in Peace..” When he pulled away from the hug and took a few feet back.

You felt your lungs ache in pain as flowers started to grow rapidly, filling them up. You cough, gag and scratch your neck to breathe. You were tearing up as blood and bloodied flowers began to land on the ground where you had stood. You never noticed you had fallen on the ground until you saw the ceiling. You kept..choking on the flower petals but..you slowly stop resisting the urge to stop the disease from claiming you. As you stared at the ceiling, you felt warmth..but not one but two. It was Yuuken and Lilia! They hugged you as you took your final breaths. Lilia hummed a lullaby he once hummed to Malleus, making you tear up. “Thank..you..for..accepting my wish..” You spoke so weakly that Yuuken wanted to cry like a baby. You had passed on peacefully in both your vice warden and the magicless student’s arms with a small smile on your face. 

The news of your death spreads like wildfire, reaching the ears of many..even the lonely future heir of Thorne valley, Malleus Draconia. He was heartbroken by your death but was horrified when Lilia reported that you had fallen in love with him. “[Name]..is in love with me?” Malleus asked Lilia in a tone of disbelief. “Yes, Malleus. They were in love with you.” Before Malleus even tried to deny it, Lilia then spoke. “Think back to those memories you had with [name] and answer this. Is your relationship with them romantic or platonic?” Now that got Malleus into the memory lane, remembering each memory he has of you. The flirty banters, the playful yet cute nicknames you both give each other, the brushes of your fingers and then felt the spark in their veins. It is all there! Their actions are not..platonic. “It was..romantic. I was..too blind to see it.” He looks at Lilia for a while before tearing up. “Lilia..what did I do to [name]?” Malleus just broke down in front of Lilia who later hugged him silently, crying along with him.

It was a price for falling in love. But it was your price for falling in love with a fae like Malleus. It is not either you or Malleus’s fault. Fate is cruel but since you have passed away, you take away a piece of everyone in NRC’s hearts..and leave Malleus now regretting his actions. You never want to lose your love to Malleus and..it is your downfall. Rest in Peace [name]. You live a good life.

pragmatic to a fault. Sunday is deeply a skeptic, take his departure from the harmony in favour of the order, as an example. it’s cool because it means you’ll never have to worry about any technicalities but it also means he has a hard time letting go of control or being spontaneous.

very into more subtle romantic gestures and an absolute gentleman. you’ll have flowers at your door at least once a week and he makes sure to take all of your preferences into consideration when planning dates (he will be the one planning). keeps his hand on your lower back most of the time, the waist is far too scandalous!!

not a big texter. he prefers speaking face to face and will call if he can’t come see you. that said, he’ll make sure to like or respond to all of the silly pictures and messages you send, even if it’s a dry ‘haha’ or just a heart. occasionally, you’ll find that he’s sent you a letter, ask about and he’ll shrug and say he simply wanted something more heartfelt if he’s to communicate written. he’s got a special stamp to seal the ones he sends you.

although he’s no singer, he’s still a classically trained musician. i imagine he was taught the violin but went on to learn his preferred instrument, the harp, himself. he’s a bit shy about playing so rather than asking, just wait until he thinks it’s late and you’re not around to hear; he’s got quite the set of fingers.

…speaking of fingers, my bread and butter, he’s beyond skilled with playing you. while he enjoys getting down to business, getting to leisurely spread you open and thrum against all your nerves gets him going. could spend hours having you laid out, in his lap, on the floor, wherever, just gently coaxing you open, wet, and pliant for himself.

off of that, he likes you best worn down to soft edges and weak desperation. getting to play the saviour, making you come undone, has him stiff in his pants.

he’s not one for being too harsh against you but push the right buttons and you’ll get a ‘dumb’ or ‘stupid’ here and there. Sunday doesn’t curse but he knows his way around how to make you feel inferior and looked down upon.

he likes the power play of staying fully and pristinely clothed while your completely nude, save for maybe a pretty collar he’s got you belled with. if you’re real trouble, say maybe a no good criminal causing problems on Penacony and once arrested you’re at his disposal and oh so pretty, he’ll find a nice muzzle to fix you with.

strikes, no pun intended, me as the type to have an affinity for riding crops over anything else for punishments. you’ll get the same sugarcoated degradation while he comments on how you’re not even good enough to be so close to his gloved hand that he just must use the crop!! (he likes the pretty bruises it leaves).

Nothing has been confirmed about when a sekai is created (including wonderland sekai), but it's a popular fancanon in both EN and JP fandom (that I also agree with) that wonderland sekai is created since Tsukasa was young. And 88☆彡 is also added as another evidence like you said. And I also agree that they want to snuggle the lonely Tsukasa with warmth just like Tsukasa did with Saki and Toya (and later on WxS)

Anyway, I agree with you that 88☆彡 is a song from WxS!Miku and WxS!KAITO for Tsukasa, both the younger and older him (because I think Tsukasa still had some "habits" from his childhood). Well, my headcanon is WxS!Miku is the imaginary childhood friend, a cheerful and fun big sister to cheer up young Tsukasa. When Saki's hospitalization keep getting longer and Tsukasa felt the absence of their parents more (specifically middle school), WxS!KAITO appeared as the imaginary adult proxy, a gentle and dependable big brother that young Tsukasa admired to be (because WxS!KAITO appeared at the half-end of the song).

The shot of Miku standing alone before a lone piano and empty theater hall in the beginning is shown with the lyrics of "You smile/laugh". It kinda feels like Miku is seeing the old lonely Tsukasa, isn't it? I think I have written in this blog before how the piano is a symbolism/metaphor of the loneliness and sadness Tsukasa felt. And just like Tsukasa, Miku is the "pierrot" who never wavers to make everyone smile. Even if there was no one to hear her music, she could keep smiling.

Another shot of the VS' backs, but this time Miku isn't alone! It feels like with age and experience, Tsukasa's world has expanded. And with it, another VS appears--KAITO, the troupe leader that embodies who Tsukasa wants to be. The lyrics "This isn't enough, right?"/"Of course, it's not." / "He can go further, right?" Just feels like the both of them have a conversation that wonderland sekai will keep expanding and they'll be watching over it with anticipation.

But the piano is still standing alone in an empty theater hall, so Miku the pierrot brought KAITO the chairman to that place. Now we see KAITO to be the one to play that piano, to fill the emptiness and the silence just like Miku did. The older Tsukasa didn't want nor need Miku's childish tricks anymore to cheer him up anymore. He needed guidance and advice from a reliable older figure to move forward towards his dream. The stage is brighter, yet the seats are still empty like it was before. While we were shown how Miku smiled when she heard KAITO's, KAITO's face wasn't shown here, unlike Miku. I wonder if he could smile as well... What did he feel about the hidden loneliness and melancholy? KAITO embodies Tsukasa's feeling to keep moving forward, so I wonder...

When we see his expression when he's playing the piano, he's smiling. However, the piano isn't in the dark theater hall anymore--it's in the middle of the colorful world that was born from Tsukasa's feelings. In Dazzling Stage, Tsukasa remembered his how lonely and sad he felt, yet he brought out those feelings to be able to reach for his dreams. No wonder we can see KAITO smiling here. He's happy that Tsukasa's loneliness isn't tucked away somewhere no one could see anymore. Tsukasa has grown enough to realize that he needed those feelings in his world.

And then this sequence appeared.

All this time, Miku is always shown to be smiling. Whether she's alone, with KAITO, or seeing how the balloons fly freely to the sky, there's always a smile on her face. Yet the only time she's not smiling, the time her "pierrot" act breaks is because she's surprised that something that she's been "waiting for" finally "makes an appearance". And then she smiles again. There's always a fragile happiness to her smiles all throughout the MV, but her smile at the end is at first gentle, carrying a feeling of "he'll be okay", and then joy as she reached out her hand for the sun and the bright future now that those loneliness and pain are freed from isolation.

Just compare that sequence and the sequence with the same lyrics.

She smiles when she knows whoever she has been waiting for makes an appearance, but the shot is kinda blurry---not everything has been in the open yet. The future was still filled with so much uncertainty. After all, she and the piano are still alone in that theater hall. But it's fine. When she opens her eyes, the shot isn't blurry anymore. She's the pierrot, so she can keep smiling even though the light that she reached out for were artificial... Only an imitation of the brightness of a blue sky.

...But talking about WxS!Miku song and its relations to Tsukasa, did you know about the the songs in SEKAI no Oto? Showtime x Audience is the WxS!Miku's image song and there are some interesting lines in it that maybe kinda hinted that Wonderland SEKAI has been around for a lot longer, one of them are the 2nd chorus (with a kinda rough translation):

最初っから全部わかってたのに　思い知らされて (Even though [I] know from the beginning, [I was] reminded)

一緒に面白がってくれた友達も　“卒業”して居なくなった ([of] the friends who shared their fun together and has "graduated" and gone too)

続けることが一番難しくて　諦めたこと、たくさんあるよ ([I] have given up on a lot of things because keep going on is the most difficult [thing] to do)

後悔する時間もないステージだ (This is a stage where there is no time for regret)

It's a song about Tsukasa obviously, which I think span across from before the main story to Sky's Edge/Phoenix, but what of the friends who "graduated" and gone? Thinking of the song, this part is probably related to Dazzling Stage, and we know that it's the closest event where we know (a part) of Tsukasa's struggle in the past.

Most likely the things that Tsukasa used to make a show for Saki. I still didn't understand how he "had given up a lof of things to keep moving forward", but maybe because remembering them too much is painful?

Some of the things in that sekai are the things Tsukasa had forgotten about like Usa-chan, some of the posters, and most notably the song the flowers like to sing that KAITO had said to be important for Tsukasa but when Nene asked him he said he didn't remember. He did remember some things, but there are also things that he had no clue about. So where did his strong feelings are related to those things came from? Well, the most probable answer is his childhood.

He was surprised at first when he remembered Usa-chan, but when he remembered some of the things in sekai he didn't look and sound surprised anymore, he was... upset? Definitely an unusual reaction. But it also tracks with the next line about how he "didn't have time for regret". It somehow tracks with how he forgot how lonely and sad he felt back in middle school and focused on wishing Saki to get well soon and cheering her up. He "gave up" on feeling lonely (among many things) so he could keep moving forward. Maybe the items in his sekai are related to those he need to discard to be able to presevere back in middle school.

L/N still remembered how some of the items in their SEKAI are related to their fond childhood memories together, so no wonder those items were there in Classroom SEKAI. But Tsukasa didn't. The most likely thing is that young Tsukasa cherished those things so much so they appeared in wonderland SEKAI but as he got older he forgot about them. The older Tsukasa clearly didn't have strong feelings for them anymore, so it's unlikely those items just appeared when he's a high schooler.

(My headcanon is that the plushies and other items/song keep Tsukasa company, but because those things reminded him of the lack of Saki & their parents at home he decided to throw/put them away to be forgotten. Or maybe there was a big cleaning time before Saki was discharged from her long-term hospitalization and Tsukasa threw them away cause they're old and might compromised Saki's health no matter how fond he was to them. Or maybe they are somehow related to bad memories at the end like maybe Tsukasa thought Saki was forcing herself to smile when he performed for her with thoae items and he felt like a huge failure because of it.)

.....and I'm rambling again lol.

So, yeah! SekaHaji, 88☆彡, and now Showtime x Audience kinda hinted that maybe, just maybe, Wonderland SEKAI is the oldest SEKAI (while the newest one might be Street SEKAI because they need Kohane to gain access/complete it).

Fic Under The Cut!

It was Valentine's Day, a day of love, appreciation, and happiness. Everyone at Kamiyama High School in Class 2-A was tasked with writing a letter to who they loved and appreciated the most, and what they loved or liked about them.

As they were promptly shared with the class, everybody was waiting patiently for their name to be said by the other students. This also included Nene, who had been waiting the entire class to hear her name. Despite her kindness towards the other students, her name was not called by anybody.

Nene listened to the pleasantly embarrassed laughs and appreciative coos from the recipients. They hid their faces in their hands, smiled wobbly smiles, and put their hands on their hearts with tearful faces.

Nene awaited her turn for the burst of surprise, giddiness, gratitude at hearing her name from someone else’s mouth. It never came.

Maybe she shouldn’t have expected anything. She was kind, sure, but she was no one’s best friend. She shouldn’t mind. She understood. Maybe she didn’t want that extra attention anyway.

Still, in her lonely desk in the corner, Nene felt her heart sag.

After the bell rang to mark the end of class, Nene was nowhere to be seen. She had run out of school at the end of the day, not caring who saw her as she waited until the right moment alone to enter the Wonderland SEKAI.

Miku and KAITO, who had been working together on a show idea for Tsukasa and the others, noticed Nene enter. Something, however, was off about the grayish-green haired girl. The two vocaloids realized that Nene wasn't feeling her best, but before they could ask about it, she'd run off to hide.

Nene didn’t know how long she’d spent curled up backstage of the theatre, before she heard a bright and bubbly but concerned voice through the curtain.

“Nene-chan? Nene-chan, please come out!”

Slowly, she peeled her head from the wall.

“NENE! WHERE ARE YOU HIDING!”

Ah, and that earth-quaking volume…

“Perhaps she’s behind the stage?”

And the most familiar voice of all.

Wiping her eyes with her sleeve, Nene called pitifully, “I’m here…”

Her sore eyes beheld a ball of pink bouncing into the lightless hollow. She gasped and was at Nene’s side in a flash.

“Nene! What’s wrong? My sadness senses were tingling, and then Miku went ‘Brrrrrrrllllll— brrrrrrrlllll—’ which meant someone was lost in Sekai!!” Emu threw herself around Nene, who could only hiccup in protest.

Nene felt so bad about burdening the others with her bad mood, but nothing could really come out. Finally, in tears, she'd speak in a quavering tone, her voice breaking and cracking. "S-Sorry....I-I'm sorry...I-I didn't mean to w-worry anybody...I-I just..."

"Nene-chan..." Emu held her tightly, rubbing her weeping partner's back gently as she let Nene express her current emotions to the three of them. Nene would sniffle, squeezing her eyes shut when she felt Rui gently stroke her hair with his fingers.

“Nene,” Rui called lowly, voice soothing and gentle as milk. At that one word, a dam broke within Nene’s chest.

Sobbing, Nene buried her face in Emu’s pink sweater. “It’s really not that big of a deal. I-I think… I’m just being dramatic.”

“Nonsense!” Tsukasa, who had been quietly panicking as soon as he saw her crying, nestled into her other side. His star-like warmth was like a plush, constellation-patterned blanket. “You’re never dramatic! Even I would be upset if no one thought of writing for me.”

“You can be honest with us, Nene.” Rui pulled his fingers through her hair again, a massaging tug on her scalp. Emu rubbed her cheek against her head.

Nene let Tsukasa pull her legs into his lap. “Maybe there’s just nothing to say about me… Nothing to-” Nene swallowed. She didn’t want to voice her thoughts, but she’d promised to be honest. “Nothing to love…”

Nene buried her face into Emu's shoulder once more out of shame, scared of what her partners would think. To her surprise, however, they showed her nothing but absolute kindness, Emu leaning her head slightly to kiss Nene's cheeks, Tsukasa rubbing her back, and Rui knelt down to hold her hand and massage her shoulders.

"Nene, you don't have to deal with this alone, y'know that, right?" Rui would ask softly, his fingertips gently tapping and drumming on her shoulders. "Yeah, Nene-chan! You know that whoever said that there wasn't anything to love or write about you is wrong, right? They're just jealous of you!" Emu pouted softly as she planted many tiny kisses all over Nene's forehead, nose, and cheeks.

Nene would reluctantly nod to their questions, still feeling down in the dumps about today. She didn't know what to do in order to feel better, so she'd just listen to her partners soothe her hurting pains, and comfort her.

Rui hummed, sensing that Nene still didn’t quite believe them. “There’s plenty of things to love about you, that we love about you.” Rui leaned over to nuzzle into her cheek.

His feather-like breaths and kisses pushed Nene to squirm away and giggle. As she shoved at Rui’s head, he chuckled.

“For example, your cute little laugh.” Rui grinned like a cat. “And your peculiarly ticklish cheeks.”

“Ruhuhuhihi!” Nene whined, finding refuge in Emu’s shoulder. “Stahahap, you meheheanie!”

“I didn’t know your cheeks were ticklish!” Emu’s eyes sparkled in a truly terrifying way. “I’m gonna getcha~! Let’s see that smile we love-love-love so much!”

Emu peppered noisy smooches all over Nene’s skin, even blowing a small raspberry on her blushing cheeks. Nene squealed and ducked away. “AhaEHEmuhuhu!”

“Oho? You didn’t know, Emu?” Rui raised an amused brow. “It’s her deepest, darkest secret. Oops!”

“RuihiHIHIhiiii! You traHAhaitor!” Nene managed to land a considerable slap on Rui’s face, and he gasped in offense.

Rui sniffled performatively. “Nene! My dearest friend, how could you?”

“Ah! I see my inventive partners have come up with an answer to our sad Nene plight.” announced Tsukasa, who noticed the drying tears on Nene’s well-kissed cheeks. “Look at that radiant smile! A wonderful muse!”

"Nohohohoo i-it's nohohohohohot!" Nene giggled nervously, covering her face in embarrassment as she tried to move away from her partners. This caused Emu to persist and continue her tickly antics, her fingers gently stroking Nene's cheek in a tingly way.

"Awwweeee~ Nene-chan is so cuteee, it's so wonderhoy~!" Emu exclaimed happily, continuing to stroke Nene's cheeks. The grayish-green haired girl would finally manage to turn away completely, hiding her face with her hands.

“Well, we can’t allow that!” Tsukasa took advantage of Nene’s legs in his lap and skittered his nails over her knees. Nene shrieked and jumped but couldn’t escape his hold. Cheering, Emu bound Nene in a hug and squeezed her like a balloon.

“EHEHEMUhuhu! I caHAHA- TsuKAHASA!”

“You’re so fluffy-fluffy toasty-toasty, Neneeee, I just wanna squeesh you forever!” With exuberance, Emu kneaded Nene’s sides, watching her squirm back and forth and try to kick her legs.

“LEHEhehet mehehe goho! You dAHAdohorks!”

Rui muffled a snicker and teased at the back of Nene’s neck; now she was twisting every which way like a faulty folding chair.

Rui simpered. “Go for her iliac crest!”

“Her what?”

"What's an eye-lii-ack crest?" Mused Emu, who was very curious to know what Rui was talking about. Nene knew exactly where this was going as she flailed her arms about in protest. She'd have no choice but to squeak and hiccup as she spoke through giggle-induced words.

"Nohoho-No! R-Ruhuhuhuhuii! D-Don't tehehell thehehehemmm!"

Tsukasa and Emu couldn't help but wonder what was about to happen, both of them listening intently to Rui. They'd wait for an explanation, curious what has Nene giggling so nervously.

Rui shrugged and decided that showing was better than telling. Slowly, his hands descended, curling into claws, as Nene hugged her knees as close as she could to her chest in defense.

“Dohon’t- Rui! D-Don’t! NohoHOHAHA!”

Rui’s thumbs massaged the top of Nene’s hip. She exploded from her ball and grabbed onto the nearest thing — Tsukasa — to stabilize herself against the ticklish shocks traversing her nerves.

“You remembered what it was, Nene! Such a clever pupil. Isn’t she amazing?” Rui sounded tearfully proud. Desperately, Nene shook her head.

“YOUHUHAHAHA nahaHEHERD! RuhuhuHIHIHI!”

With Rui gently but cruelly digging into one of her worst spots, Tsukasa boldly drawing on and under her knees, and Emu pinching sporadically around her middle, Nene’s face began to ache from how wide she was laughing. Her stomach pretzeled, warm from the giddiness of love and fluster.

"Guysss! We should go over more things we love about Nene-chan! I'll start! I love how red your cheeks and nose get! I love how you hide your cute little smile~! Who's next!

"I also love how softspoken you are when you tease, it's so unexpected to me, but I love those moments nonetheless." Tsukasa would chirp in, gently squeezing her calves every now and then. "And as for me, I love it when you giggle so hard that your nose scrunches up and you end up snorting, and I especially love how cute and tiny your dimples are. Such an adorable sight, is it not~?"

"NohoHOHOHOAhahaha! N-NOHOHOHOhohohot adohohoHOHOHOHORAblehehehehe! IHIHIHIhihit tihihiHIHIHI- NAHAhahahahahahaha!" Nene couldn't finish her words out of embarrassment. She hated saying that she was ticklish. But, unfortunately for her, Rui caught onto this, and teased lovingly out loud to catch Nene off guard.

"Oh? It what, Nene? What are you trying to say? What t-word are you referring to?"

Nene completely combusted, trying to prevent this from happening. "NOHOHOHohohoho! D-DohohohoHOHOHON'T YOHOHOHOUHUhuhuhu dahahaHEHEHEHEARE STAHAhahahart thihihihis!"

"Are you saying touchy~? Or teasy~? Or even tastyyyy~?" Rui grinned widely, knowing exactly what his ass was doing. He was trying to trick Nene, and it was clear that Emu and Tsukasa were both in on this.

"DUHUHUhuhumbahahAHAHAHASS! IHIHIHIhihit tihihiHIHIHIHICKLES!"

Nene immediately tried to cover her mouth, realizing what she had gotten herself into. "W-WahahahaHAHAIHIHIHIT NOHOHOhohoho! DohohoHOHOAHAHAHAN'T!"

“Ticklish, you say~?” Rui’s grin was chilling. “Is that so? Well well well… isn’t that just prrrrecious?”

Suddenly, all the tickling stopped. Nene could only feel the phantom tingles of what had just passed and the force of her lungs heaving in air. But she couldn’t trust it. She knew what was about to happen.

Sweet breath fluttered over her ear. “Aww, you should have told us, Nene~,” Emu whispered. Nene muffled a squeak. Rarely was Emu a menacing presence, but this time, Nene’s heart only pounded in dread.

A finger brushed a slick strand of hair behind her other ear. Nene shivered. “She seems nervous. Isn’t the suspense just killing you?” She never thought she’d fear Tsukasa’s quiet voice.

Someone else was pulling her in. Something warm teased at her neck.

“Doho- don’t. Guys! Plehease! Nonono—“

Shrilling in ticklish laughter, Nene wriggled about to try and get away as Rui planted tickly kisses all over her neck. Giggling along, Emu would scribble her nimble fingers under Nene's armpits as the light tickles got to the poor girl.

All Nene could get out was an "EhehehEHEHEEK! NOHOHOHohohoho!" as she squirmed and flailed about. She was so ticklish, but would never admit to it.

Nene squealed, thrashed, blushed, cried for mercy, and slapped aggressively at Rui’s shoulder and elbowed Emu as best she could.

“WaHAhaHAHAIT NAhaHAT ThEEEEREheHAHA! NoooohOOOOO!”

The sounds of Rui’s lips trembled up to her ear in waves and she crushed Emu’s fingers beneath her upper arm. Tears washed over her eyes and her laughter became so screechy that even Tsukasa was concerned.

He rested his chin and a kiss on Emu’s shoulder and pinched Rui’s cheek. Both of them received the memo and slowed their attack. Rui smoothed the sides of Nene’s shirt. Emu fixed her hair and moved aside to let Nene fall into Tsukasa’s lap. Nene hiccuped on a breath and covered her face, giggles interspersed.

“I’m sorry… to get so sappy on you guys,” Nene slurred.

Smiling, Rui purred, “Nene, we love you when you’re happy. We love you when you’re sad too.” He coaxed her hands away to reveal her pink nose and pursed lips.

Tsukasa cupped her face with a grin that was difficult to take seriously, but cute. “Yes! Your crying face is charming!”

“But when you smile, you’re even more charming! Cuz we know you’re happy.” Emu’s chipper face popped in from the side of her vision.

“Forget it. You guys are sappier than the ending theme of a video game.” And together, they laughed.
