study smart not hard (altough both is best actually) this saying is so true
#my advice#but this saying is sooo true#i know some people at uni who study for exam so long and hard but then fail or just barely make it :(#like what are you doing? i don't mean this in a mean way but it doesn't have to be this difficult#i don't understand how some people can study for an exam for 2 weeks or even a month and still fail and i don't think they're stupid#or i don't see myself as particulary smart#but i guess they just waste their time a lot and i realized studying effective is so important#now everyone is a bit different and has to find what works best for them but there are certain techniques which are proven to work well#there is so much information on the internet on this look it up seriously#it made my life sm easier i never struggled in uni like i did in school and i get good grades#and if i ever struggled a bit it was because i started so late it was almost impossible to pass 😂#which is why to do both is still best 😂#but i actually always made it and i never failed an exam at uni (which i studied for)#(two i was fooled into to just try without studying bc it's easy lol)#i mean i shouldn't speak too soon but i already made it through some of the most difficult of my studies#ofc it depends on what you study how well this works but i'm speaking for myself#i once passed an exam with a B studying only 2 days as one of the best students while others studied 2 weeks#and got worse grades or failed#still studying only 2 days is stupidity don't do it 😅#so the techniques i find very helpful are ofc exam questions probably the best one#if there are none make your own#then blurting for which there are different ways but i like to just go over a topic and then write down everything i remember#then fill the gaps#quizlet is also great it's an app which allows you to create cards and then tests you in creative ways#videos can be helpful as well for summaries and using summaries in general is normally enough it saves you sm time#normally you don't actually need to know everything but you should be careful it's not a bad summary leaving out too much 😅#and i also like mindmaps bc i'm a very visual person#but all those tipps are mostly for remembering information so it doesn't work so well for other fields of study#well i hope this is somewhat helpful idk 🙈#oh and reading texts over and over again is the most useless in my opinion i don't remember much at all and it takes sm time

one in a million when i watch smthing in the horror genre and don't end up disappointed to/and/or pissed off about it so like "also yeah i liked it. ooo" is like relative to that an off the charts rave review of media of the millennium. also i did think about mh a lot along the way so would recommend its affect/effect if you like mh's horror too

#im not struggling w/ any of the classes i have tomorrow infact i could just do all my work and extra for comp sci rn becasue its all online#i have french but we didnt have homework so idt we'll be doing anything important even if we do french is one of my best classes#this is mostly because i can't bring myself to put in almost any effort for my core classes. idek what I' supposed to do in human geo since#the teacher isnt good at exxplaining#hes a great teacher its a fun class during led instruction#but when we have to do work on our own its just “Oh yeah you need to do the essay” which is fine its only 400 words but. I do not know what#iam doing#I also have english tmr but i have literally the nicest english teacher nd its 8th period ill be awake ish by then and even if im not im su#sure she'd let me put my head down during independant reading. Her room is lit dimly w/ like string lights and a few lamps#she says the overhead lights hurt her eyes and distract students aometimes#sleeping would be so hard rn like not because im hyper energized just. my face hurts sm and i have music in my head and im too hungryt oo f#fall aswell#asleep#gonna. rest and do nothing but i probably wont sleep lol

How do you manage the workload of requests/commissions? What helps you when you’re writing?

992nd3 hi there! Sorry I didn't answer sooner lol. It can be pretty damn difficult to manage everything and still make room for myself sometimes, though I manage to get by. I'll have days where I dedicate 5-10 hours to just writing alone, waking up at around 10am-ish and going to bed at 3am. I usually do commissions first at the start of the day, but sometimes I'll need motivation, so I go over to the regular requests or my multi-chapter fics and work on that instead. Though, mainly my friends have been helping me keep on track and motivated (and stopping me from going absolutely insane lmao). As of currently, every other day, I'll spend either 1-4 hours hanging out with them on discord sort of near or after dinner time, then end the day off with more writing until I get tired enough to go to sleep. Sometimes I'll write while on call with them too. The main thing that helps me write is playlists that I've listened to before, or other familiar music. I'll also set a mini goal for myself and try to write that amount in a day (like.. write 2,000 words or smfn). I sort of spread my attention out to multiple fics at once (Dear Detective, AVC, The King’s Jester, Dichotomous Key, the commissions, one or two general requests,) but work on them one at a time (if that makes sense)
