maybe it’s because i have the “Happy Birthday, Nahida” music stuck in my head, but-

the Fatui finding out about Childe’s Foul Legacy and immediately taking advantage of it. using the energy from the transformation to power machinery, forcing Childe to stay in the form for long periods of time to train him more, make him an even better fighter, and if he doesn’t comply, they “discipline” him. he doesn’t remember it when the transformation finally gives out- Il Dottore made sure of that- but Foul Legacy begins slipping beyond his control, becoming guarded and frightened, lashing out at the smallest things, which is exactly what the Fatui want. and Childe himself feels dull, emotions deadened and hollow as the upper Harbingers wave away his questions.

Foul Legacy will become a weapon of war, even if they have to erase “Tartaglia” entirely.

eventually Childe finds it difficult to differentiate between himself and his Foul Legacy form- day by day he loses more control over it, glancing down to find his hands suddenly transformed into claws or his mouth filled with sharp fangs, until one day the human Childe is lost, and only Foul Legacy remains. the Harbinger Tartaglia becomes buried, any mentions of him scraped away or excused with him being killed in action. Foul Legacy becomes the Fatui’s trump card- a cold, emotionless beast that obeys only the Tsaritsa and the Harbingers, staying sealed in a cage when not “operational” while Tartaglia, Childe, and Ajax are lost to time.

Now that I'm watching kj again years later no longer an 11 year old I think it's extremely fucking funny just how down some of the characters in this anime are to killing hachi. For the Harry Potter fans I wonder who was their favorite villain in a fanfic? Like Voldemort is a cliche already but what of others ? Others that are no Ron or Severus with a Ron the death eater trope (the bashing was so powerful that Ron have his own trope for so much making the bad guy) but like…. Have you see fic with greyback so twisted but same as a villain?? Bellatrix surviving Molly hex and going for revenge ? Even Sybil done with everybody mocking at her for being a ‘fluke seer’ just can be pretty refreshing to read..

for me a sane but still twisted greyback is great, I remember reading a kiss from a rose (it’s a post war snamione but hear me out this shit is goood) and just feel refresh with a villain that cannot be sympathize like zero quality but also sano no matter how twisted? A villain that have his feet in the present and know very well what he doing ? Plotting and seeing how everyone of the good side just underestimate him? Or how is minions no matter if they managed to make you feel pity for them they just- just make you stay in silence for a moment and say ‘well, I would feel sympathy for him/her but now I just hope they are catch soon’ moment? I just there with a headache and just have this revelation in how so much everybody relies in Voldemort, Lucius, RON or even Severus (if the era of Harry parents usually) and boi… there are some good villains there like even a dumbledore blind with his ideals can be good material… just no in the way so many would like, but still.

do you know the greyback of the fic i mentioned just put in almost jaque mate from almost the middle of the fic at almost all people in the story? Some really good plot armor was needed to counter his move and still till the last chapter he virtually win till author say ‘this was so not suppose to happens no Nope’ and win… with a 30 minutes death snape? but hey at the end he fall but was a good villain fall. You know when you feel a weight lif from you ? Seeing it death was that…

Forget it I’m only a person with a big headache but just there thinking how sometimes the greatest villain can be a ignored one.

For some reason the scariest part of the Abyssal prince fic is the angry and disgusted lectors and heralds. I wouldn't dare come out of my room if an angry tall lector/herald was standing right outside oof

i actually think that makes sense!!! the Heralds and Lectors, while not allowed to hurt the reader, are a more constant physical presence in their new life and therefore seem more threatening than Tartaglia most of the time!! the Prince is usually off doing some duties or another so if reader interacts with anyone it's usually a Herald or a Lector who have nothing but disdain for the new member of the Abyssal Court

I've been digging up some one of my most neglected stories recently and I'm finally actually developing the rest of the cast after like what? 7 or 8 years or smth? I genuinely don't know when I first thought up Lace but she's been floating at the edge of my mind since then as my token true timeloop guy as opposed to Butters who doesn't rly count because the quote unquote timeloop was entirely within their control and only was a continuous loop because they kept consciously trying again and again. Lace on the other hand. Legitimately 100% powerless in her timeloop situation, as in there was quite literally Nothing she could do to end the loops herself. Some gods just threw her in a 50 year timeloop without even doing the bare minimum of telling her first and she just sorta had to live with that until it from her perspective abruptly stopped leaving her to deal with the fallout of everything she went through now that she's suddenly being forced to live a real life again. And as fun as all of that is it has been very stagnated for years because there is in fact a story and world that exists outside of and around this one plot that matter quite a bit and that I have been refusing to properly work on until now lol.
