NAH I JUST LOVE BOTH SM 😭❤ like Vash from old anime looks cool and super goofy and badass, but Vash from new anime has the personality of the manga, which is the pure representation of love, due censorship the old vash only shows love to woman but respect to everyone :( but canonically Vash loves and respects everyone equally, thats what i love from stampede sm.

Vash loves every human, but more like if they were his little thingys to protect, like platonic love. He is literally like an angel, he feels like they are his treasure and most loved thing in the world, thats why he protects them at all cost, 'cuz he is an angel of love 😭❤ he just wanna protect and love his little human beings, thats why he doesn't end up with wolfwood nor meryl at the end of trigun (if im not wrong, there is this weird situation with Meryl wanting to share her feelings but not doing it at the end), but is cute to think that he could end up developing romantic feelings towards Meryl or Wolfwood (well...wolfwood not anymore 💀)

Another fact about angel of love Vash:

If you watch carefully you can see Vash walks around the planet looking at other humans because he loves to watch them so much, literally like a cat owner watching his cat sleep LMAO, Vash loves to see humans interact with eachother and live their lifes, you can also see this when Vash visits Rose, how he interacts with the tonis, or the picture of Vash holding a baby, or just Vash in general going from town to town and staying around for short periods of time, i like to think that his job as a plant is to provide love and peace to humans, thats why he can't do things like other plants do, but he for sure can give love and peace :D or at least peacefully fight for it, also you can see in the reboot the way he just travels with Meryl and Roberto without really caring, like if he was letting the little human beings play around happily, is so cute actually when you think about it, an angel going around in between humans watching them do their stuff and live their lifes because he finds happiness and peace in that :")

hey sorry if this is a stupid question but would you mind telling me how you make gifs ^_^ ?

I'm finally home so hey anon! It's not stupid at all dw!!!! And I don't mind, just a quick disclaimer: I've never done gif tutorials before and I learned from a tutorial myself aaaages ago, so I apologize if it's a slow or clumsy method but it's what works for me.

Under the cut bc it got long.

First you're gonna need both a vid player you can get screencaps from and a program for giffing, I use km player and an oldie portable ph0toshop cs5. Km has its own website and you can download it for free if you wanna.

(as a sidenote, downloading hq stuff, whether it's movies or shows, animated or not, is ideal)

Once I've downloaded whichever movie/show I wanna gif, I take all the screencaps I need and organize them into folders according to whatever order I come up with for my sets

(screencapping in km for reference, sorry for the spanish tho it's my mother tongue hehe)

Theeen it's time for PS (thankfully this one is in english), go to file, click on scripts and select the option on the black box thingy. Your file should load like here:

When it's finished loading the files, click the lil corner I signaled then "make frames from layers" -

Afterwards, it should look like this, all organized and ready to start messing around:

I normally start by cropping and resizing according to what kinda set I want to make, using tumblr posts' dimensions as reference. I have no idea if they've changed since lmao but here.

I go -> select tool -> crop then image size for resizing, again, depending on the kinda set I want to make.

I do gif speed and loop options next, choosing 0.05 for the former and forever for the latter -

NOW COLORING! To be completely honest I'm shikladj well, I use pretty simple settings for coloring.

I go curves -> color balance -> selective color (usually choosing neutral and blacks specifically to mess with, + whichever color is more prominent in the frames) -> levels and sometimes, hue/saturation. This is from the set I posted like a week ago, for example:

This part is mostly just trial and error, playing with the settings until you find the ones you like and feel comfortable with! I have v little free time for giffing so I stick to simple stuff, and I enjoy it too so win win for me.

Once that's done and over with, I click this lil guy here:

Then select all the frames to convert the whole thing into a smart object for sharpening shenanigans:

And my settings for sharpening:

Most ppl use 500 as an amount or other radius but idk when I tried it feel like too much? so I'm using 450 and 0.3 rn. A matter of preference too honestly.

Sharpening done, it's saving time + the last saved setting I used:

Okay here's the animation thingy, @the-ascendant-doodler ! This is actually a really bad example because the clip only got worse after I added more frames but I can work with that (I should not, however, work with a headache. Lesson learned here ughy)

Also I wanna say, this is the third time I've done it this way? So I don't really know what I'm doing and I'll probably come up with better methods later. It's for fun and practice and I'd love it if it helped other people too but I'm definitely not claiming to be an expert at all.

Anyways

Get a stack of papers. ✨draw your first frame ✨

Lay the next paper over it and you should be able to see the previous drawing showing through

(I used a window to take the pic cause the camera wasn't picking up the shadow on the table.)

Flip as you go. Let me repeat that. Flip as you go. Look back on the drawings and compare the motion and arcs AS YOU GO. pls this will make your life better. You should do this in digital animation too but it's extra important in paper animation cause it's way harder to pinpoint mistakes when you've got a stack of 20 papers. But anyway. Compare the most recent three panels as you add each element. (Head, arms, legs, etc.) Just double check your arcs are working and you don't have things jittering around.

Once you've got a whole bunch of pics (and you can't locate errors just by flipping anymore) is when I've made the gif to see how good it ACTUALLY looks lol

Take your pics as even as possible, all four corners at right angles. Line up your camera box to one side, and later crop off the excess. One frame should kinda look like this:

Then load the pics into a gif maker (I have one built into the gallery app on my phone) adjust the speed and tada!

Some notes on why that animation is bad so you can learn from my mistakes too. 😂

1) Where's his weight? He looks like he bonks his head then flies away.

Alternatively it looks like the moment he touches the ground again the camera angle switches and he rolls along his back.

When you do a squash and stretch you gotta have that delay so they have weight! So he hits his shoulder on the ground and does a kipp up to his feet. He doesn't do... whatever that is. XD

It'd probably be less confusing if I'd finished the sequence and he made it to his feet, but why continue doing it wrong when you can stop and redo it?

2) His back legs aren't following a consistent arch in his dive. They aren't assisting to his movement making it smoother and more believable, they're just kinda along for the ride lol They also ought to tuck in further when he rolls.

3) the sword has inconsistent size/shape

4) and again cause it really bugs me, the bonking head part? That's not a squash and stretch the poor lad just dove head first and hit his poor little head. The impact should land on his shoulder, not his face. :(

5) not an issue with the animation so much as just something I need to keep in mind, keep the camera on the subject. Like I shoulda kept him in the middle of the page instead of moving him across it. I just forgot to do that. 😅 (partly why I stopped cause I didn't have room for him to flip to his feet haha)

hi so i saw you comment on someone's post a way to get photoshop for free and i installed it and everything so i have now managed to download it for free! but whenever i try to make gifs it just doesn't really work? like after saving the gif, when i try to open them they're stuck on one frame and aren't moving. so idk maybe you'd know why or if i did something wrong?

Hello! There could be many different reasons as to why this is happening to you, so I'll just give you a brief run down of my gifmaking process, and show you where you could've made a mistake. It helps to show me your layer settings and export settings when you're asking me these questions, since it would be easier to detect where you went wrong. If you want a good giffing tutorial (the one I learned from), check this out!

disclaimer: i am in no way any sort of experienced gifmaker, and many of the methods i use might have an easier way to go through it, so if anyone wants to correct me on these methods, feel free to add the post!

so here's basically how i make my gifs:

↠ Okay, so first of, make sure that the clip you're using to make a gif in in .mov format. I use vaporsynth to sharpen and denoise my video clip and export it into .mov format, the process of how to do so you can see in that tutorial i've linked above.

↠ I’m unsure of what method you used to import your frames, so i’ll just tell you how I do mine:

1) go to file > import > video frames to layers 2) select the file you want to import (in .mov format ! .mp4 does not work for this.) 3) so basically use the sliding bars things to select the part of the clip you wanna gif (if there’s any extra bit that came by, if not just import from beginning to end.) check image:

↠ now that your frames are imported, it’s time for the actual coloring and exporting part, in which you might’ve made a mistake. So basically go to window > timeline, and make sure the timeline is visible. On the right side, you’ll see a layers panel, having each frame as a layer. make sure that the “make frame animation” is checked! Next, select all the frames from the timeline and all the layers from the layers panel:

↠ right click on that timecode > other... > and then set your delay to whatever you prefer. I usually set the delay to 0.05 since i prefer slow gifs, but if you prefer faster ones, you can use 0.03. check image (this is called a frame animation):

↠ now select that little symbol in the bottom that i’ve circled, and then right click on your layers (make sure that they are all selected !) and select “convert to smart object). This is a common area on mistake! People tend to convert into smart object first and then click the small button thingy (which is called changing to video timeline from frame animation), which could be one of the reasons for why your gif appeared as a still image. 

You may ask me, dawn why do we need to do this? Isn’t it easier to simply color using the frame animation timeline. Well, yes. Technically you don’t have to do this step, but i’ve found that i tend to make a lot of mistakes in frame animation, and it’s harder to overlap layers on each other in the frame animation, especially if you’re coloring and use multiple adjustment layers.

↠ So now your timeline will look like this. Now that the base gif has been adjusted. it’s time to add our other adjustments, aka coloring.

↠ Another mistake: check the layers panel and make SURE that your layer is a smart object and NOT a rasterized layer. A smart object looks like the above image, while a rasterized layer looks like this:

Rasterizing will change the gif into a still image, which might lead to your mentioned “gif appearing as a still image”.

↠ Now that that’s done, simply add all your adjustment layers (aka coloring). It should look like this.

↠ It’s time to save the gif. so now go to file > export > save for web (legacy).  so now you’ll find a popup window like this:

take a good look at the settings i’ve used. Another reason your gif may not be playing is because you didn’t switch the mode to gif or you used a different export method. You can choose between selective and adaptive diffusion, both of them have different looks to it, but personally, i prefer adaptive diffusion. Then what else, click save, and select a folder to save it to.

but wait! The gif looks like this:

see that white delay at the end? (I’m only explaining this since i told you to convert your frames into a video timeline, so this part is an important one.) I don’t want that. The reason why it’s going white at the end is because of:

this. see how the gif layer only occupies a small area between those two placeholders and the adjustment layers occupy a bigger area? That’s the reason of the delay, which is why i will adjust it to:

this, in simple words, make sure that the two placeholders are perfectly touching the ends of the base gif, so that it doesn’t show that white bit at the end. So now our gif looks like this:

see? Now there’s no white bit in the end, since our gif duration is exactly same as our base gif duration. You can also see how much of a different coloring makes! 

There you go! I’ve basically run you down on how to use photoshop, since you said you just installed it and are probably a beginner. Photoshop does take some time to master, but keep trying ! Next time if you do wanna ask anything though, please do attach a screenshot of how your canvas looks, since that way it’s easier for me to understand what kind of problem you’re facing. 

There’s a lot of complicated wording in this, so if you don’t understand it, feel free to a) ask me or b) check that tutorial i linked in the introductory paragraph! It goes into a lot more detail and explains very well along with use of vaporsynth if you’re interested in that, so give it a go and tell me how it goes !

Here is a fem!deku drawing I made some months ago, I was playing a little with the art style and this is what it turned like! I honestly don't like it a lot so I tried putting extra effort in the background. I found some pretty brushes to experiment with, I think I'll use them again for future art (๑♡⌓♡๑)🦋✨

AU IDEA!!!

JUST HAD A REALLY COOL AU IDEA WHILE I WAS IN THE SHOWER :D

so imagine izuku having a quirk like inko's but like really really strong; he can pull/attract or manipulate cells, including the ones of living things, so when he discovers his quirk he starts manipulating the cells of tiny bugs(pulling them apart and etc.), that eventually leads to slyghtly bigger things; like lizards and such.

So one day little katsuki and little izuku are playing in the lake and insted of kacchan falling to the water after walking on the wooden log thingy, izuku is able of pulling kats with his quirk and FUSING THEM TOGETHER, making one single body.

do ya'll are getting where i'm getting? a steven universe AU where izuku and katsuki love the idea of them both being together as a fusion, they just go along whit it! like garnet!!!!

You swear you heard him stumble on his feet while he was running to you. You were sitting with your back on the door and Ada was sitting across you cleaning your wounds on your hands. She looked up when she heard the sound of someone falling and shook her head "I live among animals„ she mumbled to herself, proving that you were correct about john falling. You also heard Arthur chuckling which only made you even more sure that he had fallen. You couldn't help but laugh although it hurt your lungs when you did. Then you heard him get in the room and although you couldn't see him you could bet how worried he must have looked.

“What the fuck happened?!„

“Calm down john, she's alright! You boys think that you're the only ones who can take a punch or two?„ said the Shelby sister cleaning a little blood that was left on your face.

“Don't tell me what to fucking do Ada!„ he shouted at her and finally got in front of you. He pushed Ada's hand of you so he could stand in between you two and kneeled so he could be in the same height as yours.

“Are you ok?„ he asked, his voice lower. Your predictions were correct he had piss himself after learning what happened. His eyes were red like they always were when he was too worried and his was even more pale than usual.

“I'm alright„ you repeated Ada's words with a smile.

“Who did this? Was it the Italians?!„ his voice stared getting louder again, you shook your head negatively Quickly so he could calm down as Ada was requested earlier.

“No they were just thieves looking for a day pay. Like I said I'm fine, nothing to worry about.„

“I'll fucking kill them all! You hear me? Whoever did this to you is a deadman!„

You placed your hand on his cheek and smiled, hoping that it would relax him a bit and he'd find comfort in your eyes. You leaned in and kissed him softly, then whispered against his lips “I'm fine.„

John sighed and pulled away to look in your eyes again. You could see that there was something he wanted to tell you that would probably piss you off, he always looked like that when he had something like that to say.

“John can you fuck her later? I have to patch her up!„

“Fuck off Ada!„ he spat and she knocked his shoulder in response. “Seriously go out! I want to tell her something!„

“I'm the nurse-„

“Ada!„ he repeated, his voice tough. Ada huffed before getting off her chair to leave. She left you and john on the room the Shelbies would usually have their meetings and closed the doors.

“What is it?„ you asked right after she was out the room. He looked away and took a deep breath before starting to speak

“I've been thinking..„

“You don't say.„ you joked, trying to lighten up the mood but he only ignored your sarcastic comment.

“This is not a joke, (y/n)!„

“Isn't it?„ you questioned. He got up on his feet and turned his back on you. “(Y/n) maybe we should give this a break.„

You layer your head back in exhaustion, looking at the ceiling, you just wanted him to finish so you could start cursing him. “Taking into consideration all that's been going on with the Italians and everything maybe its best if you distance yourself for me, so you could be safer so people won't use you-„

“How about you Take this into consideration? I don't give a fuck about your considerations!„ when you raised your head up again he was looking at you a bit shocked at your response “you've been thinking ha? Clearly not hard enough!„

“(y/n)-„

“Don't (y/n) me! John! Do you love me?„ you got up and stood across him.

“Wha-?„

“Do you?!„

“Of cour-„

“Do you want me in your life?„

“(Y/n)-„

“Just answer the damn question!„ you shouted.

“Yes! Yes I do! More than anything but-„

“There is no bad! Because I love you too and I wanna be with you! Ada is right you boys think that woman can't take a punch but we can and we can hit back as well! I don't fucking care about the dangerous that come with your fucking name! Alright? They wanna come from me? Let 'em come! And I'll shoot 'em dead!„

John stood there looking at you like you were a goddess. Your determination had ones again shut him up. A smirk appeared on his face.

“I could fuck you right now on this very table!„ he said, getting closer to you. It was no surprise to you, you'd always make out anywhere at all and all your arguments would end on a bed.
