A day in the life of a Darkiplier

A/N: A little drabble I did during Creative Writing when we were supposed to write a diary entry of a character, and I chose Dark! (Who's thinking of the DA as usual)

October 18th, 20XX

Today was a day like any other. The weather matched my dull mood with its grey skies and light rain. It reminded me of them...

I spent the day cooped up in my office dealing with research as usual, hearing the other ego's escapades when I took a break from staring at the computer for too long.

Wilford did try to persuade me to eat something for lunch, but I refused, as always. After about 10 minutes, I heard a knock at the door. Not bothering to look up from my computer, I heard soft, tentative steps and a tray of food put on my table. I looked up only when they were about to leave. A small smile, and then they closed the door. I ate the food. Maybe I was actually hungry... but maybe it was because of them.

I spent the rest of the day working, and I couldn't help but smile when I looked at the empty plate once in a while.

I’ve mentioned it before but I’m a fucking sucker for unhealthy dependent relationships. There’s just something about them that is so. Chef’s kiss 👌

Anyway I’m still thinking about how Law was so attached to Cora and was so traumatized by his death that he literally devoted thirteen YEARS of his life to revenge killing Doflamingo. Even though all Cora ever wanted was for Law to just be free and live his life happily. And Law spending all his time in a hateful revenge spiral is literally the exact OPPOSITE of what Cora wanted for him. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE. If the thirteen years of endless devotion to avenging his savior wasn’t enough Law 1. Named his pirate crew the Heart Pirates in honor of Cora, 2. Covered himself in permanent heart-themed tattoos in honor of Cora, and 3. Fashioned his Jolly Roger to be a mockery of Doflamingo’s and ALSO to honor Cora. Homie is a walking memorial for a man he only really knew for six months and again crafted the most intricate plan known to mankind to murder Cora’s killer. Because losing Cora fucked him up THAT much. Because even though Cora set him free, the moment Doflamingo shot him Law was chained to the memory of a man who no longer existed. Law literally fashioned his entire life down to his own appearance after Cora and it makes me so insane. I cannot even imagine what went through his head after Dressrosa I mean how do you move on after a thirteen year grudge is put to rest. What is he supposed to do now. Avenging Cora was literally his entire existence, his entire reason for living for half of his life. He needs therapy probably. If Cora somehow ever did come back to life Law would lose his fucking mind. The dependency is SO unhealthy and I am SO here for it

I didn't know until today that there was a story after Chiaki and Hajime got married in the blog, but as soon as I saw it, this image came to my mind and I drew it on impulse. (I have a drawing in progress and would continue to work on it today, but I couldn't help but draw this RIGHT NOW! 😆)

There is no story posted about the married Hajime and Chiaki actually being together (maybe?), so how they look is totally my imagination, but it made me inexplicably happy to think about their loving married life.

I know this is just a WIP sketch but I'll likely not be able to finish it very soon :т Thought I'll put it here for now

From how Knights are described I've got an impression that they are "indoors" hunters in particular, and considering her affiliation with Byrgenwerth and Old Hunters I like to think Maria might have been one of those warrior guys diving in Chalice Dungeons to bring more shinies in Cainhurst. Guardians of the Queen (what Bloody Crow is) I think started to go down there after the whole "Cainhurst got the blood from a traitor from Byrgenwerth", when as a heavy warrior Maria had the motivation to requalify into a Hunter and adopt tactics from Gehrman since agility, speed and Hunter tools proven to be more effective against the beasts and various other monsters Byrgenwerth was off to face.

I know it doesn't look that bad, but this set is INCREDIBLY hard to work with because of lack of references (AND they're all in the very dark lighting)! Also the guys in throne room have double pauldron on their right shoulders and no pauldron on their left, when the unused model, the portrait and the corpses in the dungeons all have normal pauldrons. I assumed the throne room armours just had a modeling mistake and rolled with normal ones. Fun fact: portrait guy has slightly differently shaped pauldrons and all-golden armour, when everywhere else this armour is mostly silver with gold decor. I decided to just leave the unique look to him.
